Elevate Client Services with Excel: Expert Tips for Financial Consultants by Grayson Garelick
Tumblr media
Financial consultants operate in a dynamic environment where precision, efficiency, and client satisfaction are paramount. Excel, as a versatile tool, offers an array of features that can significantly enhance the services provided by financial consultants. Grayson Garelick, an accomplished financial analyst and consultant, shares invaluable Excel tips to help financial consultants elevate their client services and add tangible value.
The Role of Excel in Financial Consulting
Excel serves as the backbone of financial consulting, enabling consultants to analyze data, create models, and generate insights that drive informed decision-making. As the demands of clients become increasingly complex, mastering Excel becomes essential for financial consultants aiming to deliver exceptional services.
1. Customize Excel Templates
One of the most effective ways to streamline workflows and improve efficiency is by creating customized Excel templates tailored to specific client needs. Grayson suggests developing templates for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting that can be easily adapted for different clients, saving time and ensuring consistency.
2. Utilize PivotTables for Data Analysis
PivotTables are powerful tools in Excel that allow financial consultants to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights quickly. Grayson emphasizes the importance of mastering PivotTables for segmenting data, identifying trends, and presenting information in a clear and concise manner to clients.
3. Implement Conditional Formatting
Conditional formatting is a valuable feature in Excel that allows consultants to highlight important information and identify outliers effortlessly. By setting up conditional formatting rules, consultants can draw attention to key metrics, discrepancies, or trends, facilitating easier interpretation of data by clients.
4. Leverage Excel Add-ins
Excel offers a variety of add-ins that extend its functionality and provide additional features tailored to financial analysis and reporting. Grayson recommends exploring add-ins such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and Solver to enhance data manipulation, modeling, and optimization capabilities.
5. Automate Repetitive Tasks with Macros
Macros enable financial consultants to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows, saving valuable time and reducing the risk of errors. Grayson advises recording and editing macros to automate tasks such as data entry, formatting, and report generation, allowing consultants to focus on value-added activities.
6. Master Advanced Formulas and Functions
Excel's extensive library of formulas and functions offers endless possibilities for financial analysis and modeling. Grayson suggests mastering advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and array formulas to perform complex calculations, manipulate data, and create sophisticated models tailored to client needs.
7. Visualize Data with Charts and Graphs
Visualizing data is essential for conveying complex information in an easily digestible format. Excel offers a variety of chart types and customization options that enable consultants to create compelling visuals that resonate with clients. Grayson recommends experimenting with different chart styles to find the most effective way to present data and insights.
8. Collaborate and Share Workbooks Online
Excel's collaboration features enable financial consultants to work seamlessly with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders in real-time. Grayson highlights the benefits of sharing workbooks via OneDrive or SharePoint, allowing multiple users to collaborate on the same document, track changes, and maintain version control.
9. Protect Sensitive Data with Security Features
Data security is a top priority for financial consultants handling sensitive client information. Excel's built-in security features, such as password protection and encryption, help safeguard confidential data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Grayson advises implementing security protocols to protect client data and maintain trust.
10. Stay Updated with Excel Training and Certification
Excel is a constantly evolving tool, with new features and updates released regularly. Grayson stresses the importance of staying updated with the latest Excel training and certification programs to enhance skills, explore new capabilities, and maintain proficiency in Excel's ever-changing landscape.
Elevating Client Services with Excel Mastery
Excel serves as a catalyst for innovation and excellence in financial consulting, empowering consultants to deliver exceptional services that add tangible value to clients. By implementing Grayson Garelick Excel tips, financial consultants can streamline workflows, enhance data analysis capabilities, and foster collaboration, ultimately driving client satisfaction and success. As financial consulting continues to evolve, mastering Excel remains a cornerstone of excellence, enabling consultants to thrive in a competitive landscape and exceed client expectations.

Gotham, Greynight security. Two days later.
" Hey, Jay invited us over for dinner. He's making chicken alfredo." Val said not looking up from her phone.
" Sweet! I'll just finish this," Danny said, not looking up from his work. Val pulled a chair to the workbench.
"So have you thought of how we're going to get him?"
They sat in silence for a moment. Many of the workers have gone home for the day. They could finally discuss this. Danny took out his phone, adjusting the security to not record their conversation.
When he was done, Danny sighed, " I think we should wait."
Val slammed her hands down on the desk.
"Why should we?! You heard what that ghost said! You know what he did to Jay!" her eyes flared red as the cybernetic suit she had partially activated.
Danny held up his hands in both surrender and to try and calm her down.
" I'm not saying we shouldn't do it. I'm saying wait. There are a few things we need to plan for."
Val paused and waited for him to continue her eyes, never letting go of her hatred.
" Think about it. One if we go into arkham, we could run into trouble with the other patients."
" inmates." Val corrected
" Yeah, okay, and most of them don't fall into my jurisdiction. So that would be trouble. But one of my main concerns is that the Joker will probably come back as a ghost, and I will have to find a way to contain him that will hold him permanently. I don't want a repeat of Pariah dark."
" Why don't you just end him?"
" That's the other concern the ghost legal system and Dame Gotham. I can't just end him. I have to consult Dora and Gotham."
" More breacracy." Val slumped back into the stool
" Hey, at least we have Dora to help both the infinite realms' law and negotiations with Gotham."
"Yeah, I just wish we could help him already I hate waiting."
The king of the Infinite Realms and his two Red Knights
King Phantom sat on his throne, listening to the pleas and demands of his people. Many for Gotham asking for justice. Many ask for justice against the Joker. The ghosts plead with the king to end the clown. Beside him, his two knights stand. To his right Red Huntress's hands tighten on her blaster as she listens. And to his left Red Hood stood frozen but close enough you could see the slight tremble. The ghost that was speaking remembers her death but very little of her life. She tells the king of the Joker and how she worked for him.
“I hated it I know I did something bad but couldn't make it right, I should have. I lured someone …someone important... to him and I watched him nearly beat them to death. The joker then locked us in together and set explosives.” The woman was crying and struggling to make it through. “That person I led there he …he tried to save me even if I led him there he tried to shield me from the explosion.”
“I know I shouldn't ask for anything but I want to ask that you make sure that person knows that I'm sorry and to tell them ‘thank you’”
Beside Phantom Hood shook slightly trying his best to hold himself together.
“Despite your pericous actions I will see to your request.”
The ghost's image flickered and she smiled as tears streamed down her face.
“Thank you.”and then she was gone.
The throne room cleared, Phantom relaxed into his throne as his knights did the same.
“ It never gets easier, does it ghost boy?”
“No…no it doesn't.”
After a moment's pause. Phantom speaks again.
“Hood….Jason." Danny calls in a gentle voice.
Jason turns to face Danny. His face was hidden by the helm but Danny could tell he was close to a panic attack. Danny and Val gently walked toward Jason trying to usher him to sit down.
“That was…that was my mom, my biological mom. She..she apologized?”
“Some ghosts are remorseful for their actions and want to repent.” Danny sat on the ground next to Jason and Val on the other side.
“The Joker was the one to kill us but she she helped.”
“The Joker is enough of a threat to ghosts as well given his brushes with death. He fall within my jurisdiction. And even if he didn't,”
“  We would have still ended him for you.” Val finishes Danny’s sentence.
Jason removes his helm and stares at them. “He wont let you.”
“Killing the joker wouldn’t be hard.”
“No I talking about Batman he wont let you kill the Joker.”
“As I said the Joker is soaked in so much death that he falls under my jurisdiction.” Danny smiles, his features stretch his form becoming more eldricth as it shifts.
Val smacks him on the side of his head. “Enough of that save it for the Joker”
“Ow Val.” Danny rubs his head as Jason snickers at the two of them.
“ You deserved it, you royal pain in my ass.”

The Chinese tech giant’s cloud division has outlined several new initiatives, including an AI partner accelerator programme, enhanced incentives, and a refreshed global strategy for service partners, as it seeks to strengthen its position in the market.
Selina Yuan, President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, said: “At Alibaba Cloud, we believe that collaboration is the key to unlocking innovation and driving growth. The company’s new AI Alliance Accelerator Programme aims to establish partnerships with 50 AI technology providers and 50 channel partners by 2025. Selected technology partners will receive enhanced technical support, expanded distribution channels, and dedicated AI consulting services, while channel partners will benefit from increased financial incentives for AI-related initiatives.

The programme includes the joint development of Managed Large Language Model Services with service partners, leveraging the company’s generative AI capabilities.
The cloud provider has also committed to extending strategic partnerships with 18 service partners – including prominent names such as Deloitte, Accenture, and Cognizant Worldwide – from its existing pool of 50 global standard service partners.
In various regional developments, Alibaba Cloud has established strategic partnerships across Asia:
Indonesia: The company has partnered with Telkom Indonesia to deliver AI-supported cloud solutions and develop digital talent.
Japan: Information security firm Securai will localise Alibaba Cloud’s Zstack service for the Japanese market.

“Today, with our revamped global partner ecosystem, we are committed to supporting our global partners to jointly reap the benefits of the AI era and meet the diverse business demands of global customers,” Yuan concludes.

hi lovely, was wondering if you would be able to write any hotch x bombshell!reader ? maybe before they got together or any scenario/prompt you feel like!
take care of yourself and have a great day!!💝💝
The problem with Aaron Hotchner is that he’s too lovely for his own good. He might not think of himself that way. Not many, if any, of the office would agree. Morgan thinks Hotch is a hard-ass and Elle likes him in her way, but she rolls her eyes when he gets snippy, and Spencer… well, you think you and Spencer are probably on the same page.
Hotch is kind, and a good man, and if he looks handsome when he’s frustrated that’s just how nature intended it to be.
“Stop it.”
“No.”
“Stop.” Hotch levels you with a look over his computer. You’re surprised he knows how to use it, considering the semi-permanent callus on the pointer finger of his right hand. You must’ve watched him pen a thousand case files, consults and forms in a love letter to the old ways.
He types slowly, but you’ve decided to keep your comment about it to yourself. “You’re looking at me like you know something I don’t,” he says.
“Maybe I do.”
“I’m sure you do. Stop bragging.”
You lean on your elbow on the desk. He’s got a file open in front of him he’s transcribing for the sake of security. It details a case from a few months ago, and each line of the investigation is printed in Hotch’s neat script, lilting to the left over time. He frowns as he turns a page and realises it’s practically margin to margin with detail.
You want to offer to do it for him, but he’ll say no. You want to slide your foot up the leg of his slacks to see if he’ll blush as he did last Friday when you’d done the same thing, Gideon in the doorway none the wiser and somehow disapproving regardless.
And Hotch, he’d laughed like a kid when the door closed, not turned on in the slightest but endeared by the guts it took you to try. Then he’d sort of enticed you around the desk somehow —you don’t remember the before of it, only slinking to his side with your heels tumbled on their sides under the desk still, his palms wide and open as you settled on a wooden corner.
“I’m pretty good on the computer.”
“I know,” Hotch says. “I authorised your computing and communications technology seminar myself.”
“I was good at it before the mandatory company training garbage,” you say without heat, wondering how you might entice him over your side of the desk. Flirting aloud doesn’t work. Neither does footsie, and besides, what fun is that for you? But he’d looked at you in this strange way, none of his commanding sternness about him. A smile lingered on his lips; he can’t have known he was smiling at all, or it wouldn’t have shown. He’d left something honest there for you to see.
Maybe it’s in your best interest to let down your own walls for a minute, too.
“I could help,” you say. “Perhaps not from the same file, but I can get the laptop and start on the Maryland stuff. If you like.”
He looks at you steadily over the computer. His eyes seem lighter, the suspicious set to his mouth oddly close to smiling. “What do you want?” he teased quietly.
“Nothing. Just figured it would make your life easier.”
“When have you ever made my life easier?”
Your smile slips before you can stop it. Immediately, Hotch isn’t smiling either. The, “Oh, I didn’t mean it like that, honey,” almost doesn’t reach you, over that sharp second of hurt.
“It’s fine.” You plaster on a smile again to save him the trouble. “I know you didn’t.”
“No, really. I didn’t mean that.”
“Hotch,” you say, thumbing over his name slowly, “I know. We were teasing.”
“Flirting,” he corrects.
Your smile is real, then. “Flirting?” you ask. “That’s rather forward. Flirting might imply we like one another enough to, oh, I don’t know, help each other with our overflowing workloads?”
He looks at you, all dark and him, steady, strong, all the stupid things that draw you in. You’re not just in it for his arms, however tightly corded they might seem when he’s pulling off his tie after a long day. “You do more than enough for me just sitting there,” he says, holding your gaze with a careful casualness that has your heart tripping in your chest. “Can you do that for me?”
“Do what? Just sit here looking pretty?”
His shoe touches your ankle. “Exactly,” he says quietly. “Just sit there exactly as you are. I promise I don’t need anything else from you.”
Warmed from the inside out, you sit back in your chair. Grinning like a fool. “Why didn’t you just say that?” you ask. Any chance at sounding casual is lost when your voice comes out gossamer thin.
He looks you over appraisingly. “See?” he says, turning back to his case file. “Thank you, honey. You’re a big help.”
You swing one leg over the other to get comfortable, crossing your arms over your stomach smugly. “I know.”

Hi! I absolutely love your Jack Abott fics!! You’d are a wonderful writer! I was wondering if you would consider doing a jealous Jack fic? 😁
Aw thank you! Of course! I've had one in the works since I put out a poll. Enjoy!
Jealousy Looks Good On You
Tumblr media
Summary: Jealous Abbot is quite possessive and isn't afraid to show it at work, or in the elevator ;) T/W: Bit steamy, Abbot isn't afraid to touch what's his. Masterlist
“You keep that Abbot furrow up you’ll burst a blood vessel.” Robby laughs from where he’s leaned against the nurses’ station.
Jack doesn’t answer, his jaw creaks as his teeth grind together. He can feel the headache starting to form behind his eyes from where his gaze is trained on you. A growl almost forms in his chest when he watches your eyes sparkle as you laugh at what one of the cops says. He can feel his nails digging into his palm as his fists clench.
“Seriously, Abbot.” Robby knocks his shoulders against Jack’s, breaking him out of his trance. “What has gotten into you?”
“Don’t know what you’re talking about.” Jack says as he turns to his friend, willing a smile to his face. It drops as soon as he hears you laugh again, his scowl back as he turns towards your direction.
“I see lover boy is at it again.” Dana scoffs, patting Jack’s shoulder as she walks past him to drop off her bag as her shift starts.
“Some days I think the only security we need is to protect some of these guys against Abbot.” Robby smirks at the glare Jack sends him.
“Abbot, she’s just talking, cool your jets!” Dana says harshly, causing Jack to look down at his shoes.
Jack’s irritation peaks when he sees the cop touch your elbow, his vision pinpoints on the contact between the two of you.
His feet move before his brain can stop them, carrying him across the room toward you. He can hear Robby’s voice calling after him, but it’s just background noise compared to the storm brewing in his chest. By the time he’s standing a few feet away, he notes the faint flush on your cheeks as you clock his movement.
“Just finished with a consult, sorry to keep you waiting.” His smile is predatory as he leans in, pressing a kiss to your hairline. His hands instinctively pull you into his side as he wraps his arm around your waist.
“Anyway, let me know if you hear anything on it, I’m sure the rig will show up sometime.” Y/n waves as Jack is practically dragging her back to the nurses’ station, his only intent to pull you back unto his world, under his gaze and protection.
Dana snorts from behind her hand, clearly unimpressed with Jack’s attitude. He shoots her a look sharp enough to cut glass. You roll your eyes as even Robby is having to bite his lip to withhold his laughter.
“I guess we’re headed out.” Y/n says, raising her eyebrows in annoyance. She looks up to Jack who still has a hand on her waist. “Am I allowed to say goodbye or are you going to hulk out again?” He rolls his eyes with a huff; he leans back against the counter as you gather your things, his gaze sweeping across the room like a bodyguard looking for threats.
“He isn’t a man of sharing; the man covets peanut M&M’s like a kid at Halloween.” Robby laughs, rolling his eyes as he feels the bite of Jack’s gaze.
Y/n barely has her things gathered before Jack is ushering them out of the ED; she calls out a parting goodbye as he stomps them out through the ambulance bay. He’s livid when he watches her shoot a sarcastic salute to the cop she had been talking to earlier.
Once out of ear shot, he winces as he feels her rally to call him out. “Jack, what the actual fuck?!”
“He was flirting with you.” He grunts, clearly still in full blown protective mode.
You grab his wrist to halt him, making him turn his broody gaze down to you. You burst out laughing at the dark look in his eyes that seems like it should be in a period drama, and not on your boyfriend’s face.
“Oh my god.” You blow out. “Are you fucking jealous because I talked to the cop about a boat rig, they’d had stolen last night?” He turns away stiffly and continues walking towards the direction of your apartment building, ignoring the laughter that almost has you doubled over.
“We were talking about the boat that was stolen from the police department parking lot, trailer and all, and you’re acting like some damn brooding period romance wannabe Jack!” He’s still ignoring you, trying to quicken his pace. Now that the initial jealousy has worn off, he’s slightly embarrassed by his behavior.
He’s holding the door for you to grab before he’s punching his keys into the lock on the front door of your apartment complex. His jaw is tight again, a muscle ticking. He can feel the triumphant smirk on your face you’re aiming at his back.
He leans against the back wall of the elevator, his arms braced on the railing. You chuckle slightly as you wait for the elevator to reach your floor, your arms crossed as you shift your weight as you stand in front of him. You startle as you feel a sharp slap delivered to your ass by Jack.
You scoff and turn to him, eyes wide and mouth agape. “Excuse me?” you ask.
He crosses his arms and drops his eyes down to you and then back up to the screen to watch the floor numbers climb. “Mine.” He growls softly.
“Don’t start.” You warn, turning back around. You jump again as he places one last slap to your ass before brushing past you when the elevator doors start to open.
“Jack Abbot.” You scold, hustling after him, his dark chuckle echoing back to you from down the hall. He’s leaning against the apartment door, his gaze still dark, his arms crossed. You take probably a bit too long studying the veins as you walk up, enjoying the ways his muscles flex.
You eye him with an eyebrow raised and a shake of your head. You dig into your pockets to find your keys.
“I’m not going to be able to walk tomorrow am I.” You say as you push the door open, his gaze still heavy on you.
“Not if I can help it.” He says with a wicked smirk; his lips crashing into yours, his hand already possessively around your neck.
“Jealousy looks really good on you.” You moan, chuckling softly at his lack of control as he pushes you across the threshold and into your apartment.
------------------------------------------------------ A/N: Slowly working through requests! Per usual I hope you and enjoy and lmk what y'all think!
