[Alright. As promised, here is a bit more comprehensive post of what I plan to do moving forward on this blog.

As mentioned, I think I'm going to give this blog something of a reset. Not a full one, but it's going to be pretty close. Basically, I want to start over in some regards. It's been a long time coming, frankly, and the cause of my hiatus has only urged me to go ahead and cut the cord. Here is how that will look:

🌻 I will be deleting all the drafts I have and starting with a clean rping slate. After so long away and for my general sanity, I think this will be easiest. If there's a thread we have that you absolutely want to continue, let me know! But I would honestly rather start up new threads entirely instead (which we can of course discuss!). 🌻 I am going to basically reset all ships outside of a few (who I've already talked to). I was starting to feel...I don't know if overwhelmed is the right word, but it's all I can think of. So, I'm kinda going to start a new slate with that, too. I am more than willing to keep ships if people want to keep them as is, but, otherwise, I'm going to reset them. I'm still open to shipping the same ships again, but if I don't hear from people, I'm going to assume that if we pursue a ship with our muses again, we're starting over (I hope this made sense; I've been struggling to fine a way to word this for days :/). 🌻 This is more for me, but there are some bios I'm going to be updating for story-related reasons. Just small background changes that probably won't be all that noticeable. 🌻 I don't know when, but I'm going to bring in a test muse! Maybe tomorrow, depending on how I feel. Buuuut. It could be a fun one. Will probably be iconless because I'm lazy, but then again, the OCD might kick in and I'll see about making a few.

I think that covers it. In short, I'm just basically doing a small reset and starting over here. Not completely, but a decent amount for the sake of my sanity and comfort. I'm not going to be a total hardass about all this, and I hope this won't hurt anyone's feelings as that's not the intent! With everything that happened and the bad feels I started getting on this blog, I just think it's necessary. As always, my DMs are always open for plotting or chatting. So! With the end of this wonderful little event, I do have a bit of a bittersweet announcement.

I'll still be around here and there on a low-effort multimuse I plan to make a while from now... but, save for any light activity you'll still see from me, I plan on retiring from writing.

I'm not retiring for any bad reasons, quite the opposite! But as someone that's been writing on Tumblr for roughly... 14 years? I think I've done most of what I've wanted to do. Every kind of thread you can imagine, every type of character, and every type of genre. For the past few years I've jumped blogs A LOT, but really only because I loved chasing whatever next big thing felt fun to write.

I was here when ask blogs were the standard instead of RP blogs, regardless of whether or not the mun could draw. I remember my first ever Bowser RP blog, iconless and full of crack on a classic Redux theme. I unfortunately remember the Homestuck and Danganronpa craze, and an era where icons were a semi-new novelty that only the 'fancy' blogs used. I remember back when a majority of the Pokemon RPC was a fairly popular crack group that, at its peak, had 300~ active blogs all at once.

I remember the Splatoon Marie roleplayer that chased after me, even when I'd socially isolate myself during the darkest spots of my life, and the Rosalina blog she made later down the line. You might know her now as my wife, Rosie. Funny to think, our more popular duo wound up being Peach and Bowser.

I remember all the different iterations of the Smash RPCs, and all the people that rocked the community with every post. Then there was the Sonic RPC, a place that was almost torn apart by an awful person's hold on the community, only to rise from the ashes! That RPC's pretty quiet nowadays, but those guys may as well be sleeper agents for Sonic content.

Then there's the people I affectionately call 'The Elder Gods'. The ones that, despite being here over a DECADE, they still dedicate themselves to the same characters they always have. They're usually the ones with the ancient-looking blogs that go largely under-the-radar nowadays, but they're the foundation that built these writing communities. You guys mostly just keep to yourselves nowadays, but I see you.

And of course, my good ol' kindred spirits, the people that roleplay the most obscure, hyper-specific characters. Those one-off indie games, obscure shows, characters stuck to a spinoff title or are just dubiously canon, or characters with basically no canon that they've made into their own!

Of course, that's not to forget the people that take the big popular characters, and absolutely ROCK them in a way that makes the character all their own. Gotta toot my own horn, considering one of my old Bowser blogs had a couple thousand followers.

I could go on, and on, and on... but long story short, I've had a great time here.

Part of me never wants to stop, to be honest. But in all this time, I've become a different person. My hobbies have changed, my interests have changed, I'm a completely different person now! But I've also always been a stubborn creature of habit, never wanting to give anything up.

As a result of being anchored to my old habits so long, I'm left a little at a loss for what I want in life. More and more I've felt like a caged animal, just circling around my little enclosure and doing the same things over and over for enrichment. Add to that the usual struggles of adult life being rough and expensive, and you can imagine wanting to spend more of my time on survival is a factor too.

Nobody's gonna know what I really want now, except for me. I need to get out there and do some soul-searching. Find new hobbies, make new friends, experience new things... who knows what I'll be doing a year from now!

That said, I give my genuine, most heartfelt thank you to everyone I've ever crossed paths with in throughout all of the Tumblr RPCs I've been in. Honestly, the only reason I don't list off names is purely because I want to make sure nobody gets left out of my little expression of gratitude. You all know who you are, anyway.

I wish I could've known some of you a little better... but that's just life, isn't it? Sometimes the most impactful people in your lives are the ones you never get to really know. I'm sure I've gotten to be that person for my own fair share of people, with how reclusive I tend to be.

Again, this isn't goodbye. I mean, I'd be a little embarrassed if people thought I was gone forever, only for me to pop up a week or two later. This is a hobby I've always loved, I'll always find my way back to it. I'll always be lurking about, sometimes posting during funny shenanigans. Like I said at the start of this post, I plan on making a private, low-effort multimuse! Mostly I'll just use it to keep tabs on my friends and the writers I really enjoy seeing, but I still have a small list of characters I'd like to play around with a little.

Otherwise though, it's time to leave the nest and try other things.

1. Basics

Hi! This blog is a sideblog to @aeviare! So all follows/follow backs will be from that blog.

My name is Tiff! 25+! My pronouns are she/her. I’ve been rping on Tumblr since 2012! I have a full time job && a small business, so my activity may be spotty at best. I come and go as I please because roleplaying to me is only a hobby! 

Because we don't have the full story of Luocha, a lot of lore and things will be headcanon based. I will probably evolve as more comes out-- maybe.

2. Writing Specifics!

At this time I'll be focusing more on those within the H:SR and Genshin fandoms. Luocha is a new muse for me so I'm still figuring out his voice! Since this blog is still new, I'll be starting off iconless. As time progresses, I'll be making some icons, but I don't have the time or energy at the moment to do them. My writing lengths vary from short, to paras, to sometimes novellas. There's never a requirement to match my length.

Because Tumblr hates its userbase, I'll be writing strictly with Beta Editor and xKit Reworked's Trim Reblogs.

3. Etiquette!

Basic etiquette is expected for writing with me. Meaning, please don't godmod! I will never write your muse for you, I'd appreciate the same respect.

As for drama or callouts, please don't drag me into things that have nothing to do with me. Do not police me in who I can or cannot speak to. I'm an adult, I can make my own decisions. If there's an issue with a person and you're concerned for my wellbeing, please address it with me in DMs.

4. Shipping!

I am a multi-ship whore! Although, for Luocha, I prefer speaking OOC and plotting, as I am still figuring out his character. Please do not force ship me into anything.

My main ship with him at this moment is with Blade (is this based completely off of their team comp synergy? yes.. and also because Blade is daddified beta red Xiao and Luocha is Aether if he looked his age, I said what I said.) But I am very open to exploring different types of relationships with most of the H:SR characters.

A short overview of Ellen (Elowyn) Ashbraigg, until I have her about up: Ellen Ashbraigg (formerly known as Elowyn) is the prized "living" mystic code of a family of mages specializing in doll magecraft -- Ellen is an autonomous doll, sentient and sapient enough to pass for human, though her body has been reformed many times until its current point. She doesn't have a gender, she isn't formally a mage, but on paper for practical purposes she is always listed as "daughter" to whoever is head of the Ashbraigg family. While Ellen can perform basic magecraft and alchemy, it isn't because of being a person, but because she's basically a computer. Ellen's current body is short, androgynous, and appears to be twenty to twenty-two.

An misplaced child of one, of Piltover's many notable families. To be handled with discretion; handled poorly because of the vastness of the undercity. Even when confronted with black mail- failure on both ends to make the deal. Up in literal flames from a bored child taking the unattended lighter. this was a  difficult  way of moving forward. as memories began to resurface, and julian’s mind became  CLEARER,  recovering those spots of clarity became... interesting. to say the least. feeling like an ashamed child, almost  scolding  himself for his twisted heart, as feelings for asthora began to rise once more... and the  guilt  of pushing his broken heart on asra began to, as well.

sitting in the reading room, looking on as the two discussed their practice, julian felt very  OUT OF PLACE.  too big for the space he was taking up, and  unnecessarily  staunch. slowly pulling off his gloves, he wrung them between his hands, cautiously glancing over the two, before averting his eyes. was it wrong to even bring these things up ?  he supposed if they hadn’t mentioned much beyond what had been quietly settled between them, then it was done and over... but. julian wasn’t ready to let go of things.

18+ only. some muses will have more sensitive content than others (like silent hill for example). i will block you if you are a minor or if you don't have your age listed. dark and adult themes will feature on this blog however i am uncomfortable interacting with people who write things like incest, graphic depictions of sexual assault (this is different from writing a character impacted or traumatized by it or simply mentioning it), people who ship adults with children, etc.. look i'm an adult, i'm comfortable with dark content but i can tell when people are romanticizing/condoning this stuff instead of giving it the space it needs/deserves to be actually explored with courtesy and nuance. don't be weird.

largely iconless. i've gathered a few free-to-use iconsets from blogs across tumblr and have left them unedited if they are free-to-use. as such, the icons vary in size depending on source.

i prefer longer, more literate replies. note that all this means is that i don't tend to engage as much with the short jokey ic rp posts. i set a (very) soft limit on threads i have with people; a pet peeve of mine is sending stuff in and having threads get dropped after 1-2 replies in favor of another thread that gets 1-2 replies in before it gets dropped. i know not every thread is going to be a banger but i like to try and get threads at least somewhat going instead of starting new ones all the time. at some point i will probably stop sending asks or liking starter calls to incentivize replies on already existing threads. if you are around a lot and we can't seem to get anything going/there doesn't seem to be any interest in actually writing i will sb or hb after a certain point. i prefer a sb but i know some people prefer a hb.

mutuals are always welcome to send unprompted asks, write unprompted starters, etc. please write with meee. i am not follow for follow and want to interact with you!!

i try to match other people's formatting; personally i use small text and occasionally bold and italicize font. if my partner doesn't use small text, i won't either. note that for the umineko muses i write, red and blue text will feature as it is a canon aspect of the game, but outside of that i don't use colored font.

i don't follow people who use overly fancy formatting. stuff that is hard for me to read includes: font size changes, fancy fonts that aren't screen-reader friendly, excessive spacing between words, and certain font color changes (i use tumblr's dark theme).

i don't follow people who post lots of ooc negativity. a vent here and there is fine but please be reasonable

i love verse making and crossovers! i will gladly create a verse to write with your muse, etc., i will gladly do a crossover with you, even if i don't know your muse. give me your oc, give me duplicate/twin/mirror threads (the joy of rp is that everyone's portrayal is unique to them!), the world is our oyster.

shipping is multiship with emphasis on chemistry. shipping is not a priority on this blog for dynamics and i tend to ship with people i am close friends with.

General Info, About & Basic Blog Rules under the cut !!

I. BACKGROUND

This is my first formal foray into properly RPing Riku since the early days of the tumblr RPC.

Meaning, whilst this isn't my first time RPing him, I am now just coming back into the fandom after years and years of being away from it (mostly keeping it at arms length). So I am only now just catching up on all the lore and theories surrounding his character as well as the over arching lore of KH as a whole.

I do not boast an encyclopedic knowledge of every little detail in this game series (given how long and convoluted it has become), I have not played any of its spin offs, remixes or mobile games- so apologies if sometimes some things might be inaccurate (even despite my best efforts for extensive research). I am knowledgeable of what’s generally known in the Mainline Titles. So if there is one particular obscure thing of topic you wanna integrate into any of our threads, do let me know. I’d love to learn and talk about it! I’ve been away from this fandom for so so long I wouldn’t mind bouncing off ideas and theories with new friends.

That being said, I would very much like to discover Riku’s character for my own before getting influenced with any preconceived ideas that have sprouted here and there.

So basically my Riku is a clean slate fresh out of KH3.

I know how important Riku's character is for a lot of people and I hope I can do my very best to at least portray him as good as I possibly can for any of the folks I do end up interacting with.

II. INTERACTION

Please note that English isn't Mun's first language, hence why I take so long to write a reply/starter because I check, double check and triple check if my writing is grammatically correct. And sometimes I only have the time and energy to do one post a day.

But as stated in my quick rules, I am selective with threads and asks so if I really do not get around to reply to yours, I’m sorry. Muses are fickle things and sometimes they just don’t wanna. So don't be disheartened when I haven't answered your ask/reply immediately. Please know that I hold every single one in my heart and I hoard them for a little while before I finally have the time to reply in short bursts.

Also mun’s line of work is kind of hectic with production shoots and what not. So I may be abscond for a few days at a time.

In terms of following and mutuals. This blog is mutuals only but if I haven’t followed you back you are more than welcome to send me an ask or DM.

Duplicates. I actually don't mind following and interacting with other Rikus (since he does have a lot of interactions with his other selves). But for the most part I am pretty much content to admire other Riku blogs from a far. I am well aware that some portrayals are near perfect and some of you would have your favorites and I take no offense to this if you prefer to interact with them.

III. FORMATTING & WRITING

Icons, formatting and graphics. I do enjoy using icons and formatting on my posts, but I do it in such a way that is minimal where its still legible. I just like making things look pretty and clean. Though I do not mind interacting with iconless or nonformatted threads/blogs. This is just my own preference.

I am ok to do one-liners to short-para threads, unless things would be needing a huge set up that it requires to become novella. Let me reiterate that English isn’t my first language and there is only so much English you could squeeze out of me before I give up. (Lol) So my tone and writing would sometimes sound very blunt and straight to the point if I’m not feeling like doing any flowery words and purple prose.

IV. SHIPPING

I'll state this here and now: Mun is part of the LGBTQ and has been in a committed same sex relationship with my lovely fiancé for almost 10 years.

That being said, I think it goes without saying what I prefer to portray Riku as a character by default.

Yes, he does swing that way (although right now he hasn't figured that out for himself yet). Yes. He is very much hopelessly madly deeply head over hills committed and devoted to Sora. This has always been a HUGE part of his character throughout the entire series, and to not acknowledge it or at least allude to it, would be a crime.

However!! This does not mean I am not open to exploring other ships, even heteronormative ones. Or do shippy things with any character under the gender spectrum. If it does come to that, I like to keep it ambiguous.

At the very least, Riku is demisexual.

But, In any case, shipping will not be the main focus of this blog and I would like to maintain a neutral ground for all of it. Platonic things shall always be at default.

V. NEGATIVITY

Although I will try to make this blog as wholesome as I possibly can (with little to no risqué content)  - I have been RPing on and off tumblr for the past 20 years and honestly i am far too old, jaded, and tired to put up with any drama or upset. I will not involve myself in any sort of petty discourse and if I see anyone trying to start something, I am sorry but I will have to unfollow.

But, on the other hand, if there is anything at all that you find offensive on my blog, please do TELL me. Lets talk it out like the adults that we are. I will gladly tag anything that you wish to be tagged. My DMs are always open for discussion.

Or better yet, please make use of the block button. I will not question you on how you curate your own space and I hope you would also respect mine.
