I started to bash on german the better I got in english especially regarding dubs (didn't help I was a stereotypical pretentious annoying lil kid) and I am so glad it was likely really just a kid phase bc I am rewatching detective conan in german (and once I hit where they're not getting dubbed anymore I switch to sub bc I do dislike names getting anglicized and I am very glad the ger dub kept the og japanese names, exceptions when I grew up w the anglicized names) and it is so so comfy. The dub is also just plain good imo and the voices are so nice to hear again I am so glad I found a site that got shows in german (ty katrielle layton anime for apparently only being available in japanese and german and me deciding "well I can speak german so why not check it out", nice voice acting but not up my alley).

I do still usually keep away from eng by anime bc I am a sub over dub person and I find most... not that good.. but I stopped to play part in the debate bc I'm sure all VAs try their best. Not for me but if you like em I'm happy for ya. And also in ger it is hit or miss when the og language is eng do I stick to that which is usually the case. Idk if it is just my perception or if it really did but german dubs kinda worsened but who knows maybe I just catched the ones w bad production on that part (reg ops we got nice ones but I was happy to learn others learned abt the one we got for naturo bc. yeah). Like purely anime speaking I think the cartoons and shows on tv are fine. Minus julien bam as sonic in the movies I still can't get over that but no hate towards him I just find the youtuber as voice actor thing always baffling no matter which language (also dislike the celebrity bias in every country. yes that person is famous but do they actually fit that role + voice acting and actor require different skill sets).

I think I started to bash so much on ger bc "og language always better" and sometimes yeah and I do watch if possible in the og w subs so nothing gets lost (that doesn't have to) but where that opinion makes a turn for the worse is if you start to become pretentious about it and everyone who chooses another option is somehow worse than you. Counts for every opinion that obv isn't debating human life. Honestly I adore polls but that's also why people need to zip it with their snarky comments in the answers or also on quizzes, I do have to admit those where op smacks (right answer) or smth on the one that almost no-one clicked on are funny to see though. A bit of banter is fine imo but there are some that are just really not necessary.

Anyways it is kinda funny how I thought one piece would surely get me into anime again bc I do adore it since like kindergarten and it'll forever be in my heart but nope detective conan it is. Ig the aspect of finding out together who the culprit might be is fun next to being able to do other things meanwhile bc I don't have to read. I think I got into conan at age 14? 15? Feels like decades ago though. I don't think I really understood why others rewatch things until now. Like I got it like yeah comfort but not the extend. I always tried not to rewatch bc "I got so much stuff I can't waste time with the same" (<- has replayed okami a lot on wii and now switch while having gaming backlog since forever, replayed bratz the movie on ps2 almost yearly as kid, etc) but I luckily start to go into "who cares" mode fully and it's really nice. I truly get it now.

Sharing a my little heishinkai (heiji hattori x shinichi kudo x Kaito kuroba) fic i wrote and posted on ao3 like 2 weeks ago bc I kinda like how it turned out and wanted to share it here on Tumblr too

Shinichi has woken up from his slumber, today was Saturday, so the weekend so he has lots of freetime to spend. He grabs his phone on his night stand. First thing he notices is a message from his lover kaito. It says:

As usual kaito likes to use emoticons and kaomoji to express himself via text, at first it seemed kinda silly and obnoxious to shinichi but he's grown to like it and even find it a bit cute now. Shinichi first looks at the window and goodness,it really did snow!!! The ground is completely covered in white! Shinichi then thinks for a moment before texting kaito back:

Shinichi then puts his phone away focusing on some more important matters first such as brushing his teeth, eating breakfast and putting on some clothing for his planned meeting with kaito. Some moments later shinichi hears his doorbell ring , he may not show it well in his face or his body language but he's actually quite exited to meet kaito. So he rushes to open the door he first sees kaito who's smiling,grinning and waving. obviously exited to meet shinichi but to his surprise he sees another guest, it was heiji!

"Hattori?! " shinichi was quite surprised he didn't rlly expect heiji to come along as well but he doesn't rlly mind both kaito and heiji are his boyfriends after all.

" yo kudo! " heiji smiles also. Then kaito interrupts before heiji can continue "I thought I might surprise u by bringing heiji along with us too so i invited him also!! "

"Did you really came all the way from Osaka to Tokyo just to see me for today? " shinichi asks looking at heiji and heiji nods replying: "by the way kudo... Kaito also wanted to ask ya if the two of us can stay in yer home for the night he thinks it would be more exitin' if we spent the whole day together"

Shinichi takes a moment to process what heiji said and then sighs "fine you two can stay for the night"

Heiji and kaito jump from joy cheering and exited to spend the time together but then heiji looks at shinichi putting his hand on his shoulder "are ya ok kudo? Ya don't look as excited as me and kaito.. Do ya really want this? " shinichi was lost in thought for a moment but snaps back to reality "oh! Sorry hattori... I AM excited really!! It's just quite a lot at once and I'm just not good at showing emotions" shinichi giggles a bit "but don't worry hattori I'm ok" heiji and kaito sigh out of relief.

"So guys! Are we ready to step into the snow? " kaito exclaimed

"Hell yea!! " heiji and shinichi reply

They then step into the snow in the garden of shinichis home heiji and kaito being full of energy sprint outside while shinichi closes the door, admiring the snow a bit before he follows the other two.

"What'cha doin' kudo? C'mon join us!! " heiji said looking at kudo

"So any plans kaito? U were the one who invited us after a-" before shinichi finished his sentence he felt some snow thrown at him "SNOWBALL FIGHT!!! " kaito yelled excitedly. Before shinichi could process the situation heiji was already throwing snowballs back at kaito. So shinichi f course joins the two and starts throwing snowballs at kaito and then heiji. The three of them keep running around trying to hit each other with snow but also trying to Dodge snow the others threw. Heiji, being as competitive as he is of course tried to be the best he can turning this into a competition of who can get the most hits

"I'm gonna win this y'all !! " heiji exclaimed trying his best to hit kaito and shinichi kaito nearly fell down tripping a bit but shinichi catches him in time "everything ok kaito? " shinichi asked. And kaito nods getting right back up again full of energy as if nothing happened.

"Geez where do heiji and kaito get this high energy from... " shinichi thought to himself before continuing to participate in the snowball fight. The snowball fight goes on for a bit more, with all 3 of them smiling, laughing and giggling but also highly determined not to give up. Moments like these are fun being carefree, having fun , the thrill of it all but then they stop after feeling exhausted. No one rlly "won" like heiji envisioned but it was still a nice experience. The 3 of them get closer to each other and heiji helps brush away some snow that got stuck on kaito and shinichi during the snowball fight, kaito and shinichi do the same for heiji in return with kaito being bold enough to kiss heiji on the cheek and then a kiss for shinichi also to not leave him out , leaving heiji and shinichi a bit flustered

"Hmmm do you two have any other fun activities in mind? " kaito wondered. The 3 of them thought for a moment "how about a snowman? " heiji responded. "Sounds nice" shinichi nodded. So the 3 of them get to work. Rolling up some snow for the snowman after that they meet up again heiji helps shinichi and kaito stack the huge snowballs on top for the snowman standing behind them as he does so using the opportunity to hug them from behind after. "Ur gesture is sweet hattori but we're not over yet... " shinichi reminded him. "Yes!! yes!! we got to decorate it nicely~" kaito adds. "But it's cold right now, dont'cha 2 wanna cuddle to warm up..." Heiji said "we can do that later" shinichi replied. Heiji sighs but he let's go them both "I'mma go get some sticks for the arms, ya 2 can try lookin' for the other stuff that's needed" so they split up for a moment promising each other to meet by the snowman again. Heiji as he said went to get some sticks he found around the garden. Kaito wanders around the snowy garden too trying to find some stones, he kneels down and collects some after finding some, putting them in his pockets. Shinichi went to look for a carrot in the kitchen to use as the snowman nose. As promised they meet by the snowman again helping each other to decorate it with Kaito making a "Ta-da!!" Noise when they finish smiling and being proud of it. However Heiji and shinichi look at it for a bit in a more critical sense "it doesn't look as good as I hoped.. " shinichi comments "ya there's still some room for improvement... " Heiji adds. "Awwww cmon don't be so negative!!!" Kaito replied he then also adds "it may not be perfect but we worked on it and made something together. And that is perfect enough to me" Kaito holds the other two trying to comfort them "i know you two are famous detectives constantly trying to appear the best they can but don't be so harsh on yourselves ok?" Shinichi and heiji smile at that statement appreciating the comfort. Then Shinichi grabs his phone to look at the time "some hours have passed now do you 2 wanna go back in, I'm feeling a bit tired and cold now honestly..." the other two nod and follow shinichi as he opens the door again to enter his home. Then the 3 of them take off their shoes, jackets, hats, gloves and scarfs with shinichi helping to sort them more neatly and organized. In the meanwhile heiji and Kaito already rushed into other rooms. Shinichi meets heiji in the living room again who's laying on the sofa and watching TV. "Where did Kaito go? " shinichi asks "ah.. He wanted ta make some hot chocolate for us so he went to the kitchen. Why dont'cha lay with me for a bit kudo~ "

"Clingly as always huh? " shinichi mentioned but he rests with heiji anyway with heiji immediately holding him into his arms caressing shinichis body a bit as he does so In return shinichi runs his fingers into heijis hair which is something heiji liked so he smiled more purring a bit and in return leaving some kisses on shinichis face and body leaving shinichi flustered. Then Kaito finally returned with the hot chocolate putting the tray with the hot chocolate on a table near shinichi and heiji which makes them stop their little cuddle session and focusing on the hot chocolate both of them feeling a little embarrassed at Kaito noticing all this. "How adorable you two were. Can I join next time~?" Kaito pleads before drinking his cup of hot chocolate and the other two drink theirs too.

~~~~~~Time skip to night time~~~~~~~

With it being late during night now shinichi, heiji and Kaito prepare to go to sleep with shinichi having brought some mattresses for Kaito and heiji to sleep on in his room. And Kaito and heiji lay on said mattresses now.

"Are you two ready to sleep now?" Shinichi asks standing near the lightswitch the other two nod. Shinichi then turns off the lightswitch darkening the room. shinichi then gives both Kaito and heiji a kiss both of them blushing now from how sudden it was. "This is my thank you for you two for spending time with me today " shinichi whispered looking a bit shy. "I'm happy thank you both... " he adds . He then tries to return to his bed but Kaito stops him. "Hm? What is it Kaito? " shinichi asked

"Can you cuddle with us through the night~ " kaito pleads again "pretty pleaseeeee" he begs. "Fine.. " shinichi sighs leaving both Kaito and heiji happy as they get to wrap their arms around shinichi with a big comfortable blanket above them both.

"Goodnight everyone"

"Good night! "

"Good night"

And so the 3 of them close their eyes trying to sleep and wandering back to dreamland
