Lately I can't help wishing we'd gotten to see the regrets of the other Evanuris (or at least Mythal) if we were going to "reveal" the events of the past through regret memories to begin with.
Mythal claims that Solas' memories are "cultivated" but we never learn what that means and we never get any counter narrative to compare it to. Imagine if we had gotten to see Mythal's regrets; what factors did she remember that Solas missed/forgot, or likewise what did he remember that she didn't? If we saw her recollection of the same event as him, would even the dialogue change (or one of those things where it's radically altered by tone lol)? What would it say about these characters? What new details and mitigating circumstances would it introduce to the events of the past?
For example, Solas remembers a lot of things as being his fault. What if we looked into Elgar'nan's memories and saw that his role in the events of the past were relatively minimal? that he really was, to Elgy, just an annoying pest up until the creation of the Veil. Imagine looking into June's memories and seeing him just completely miss the soap-opera drama going on between Elgy, Solas, and Mythal because he was busy with his own shit.
We would have to conclude the truth is somewhere between all these different perspectives. Which would be a bit more on-brand for Dragon Age's presentation until VG.
I mean, hell, Harding remembers the war with the Titans from the Titans' perspective at the end of her questline, but she doesn't get to chime in about it when those scenes come up.
I also had a separate complaint that went a bit off the rails below the cut dksfgksfdk
idk certainly one of the worst parts of the regret questline for me was all of your companions taking all of the memories uncritically as fact, down to the specific WORDING choices. These memories should never have been dialogue based and they should never have made the language of it a factor because it just shows off the strings.
There is no language barrier between Solas and your individual companions in these scenes but there IS suggested to be a subtle language barrier between all of you listening to them. Emmrich specifically tells us that we all heard this in our respective native languages. Meaning, I assume, that he heard it in Nevarran and is trying to explain what he thinks it means in Trade. Or something like that.
But everyone is on the same page about what they heard for the most part?
Like as the worst example to me, coming to the conclusion that Solas singlehandedly created The Blight comes down to the fact that he specifically said the Titan dreams would become "a blight of pain and anger", which is wording that Davrin says out loud.
But I'm sitting here like... is that what he said in Ancient Elvish? And that's what that means in Nevarran as well? In Antivan? What language did he say it to Davrin in, modern Elvish? And is Davrin now translating it when he uses the game's language? I guess it's possible Davrin is not actually fluent in elvish but still, is his native language Trade? So all these languages use the same word for the Blight, proper noun, and "blight", the noun? So all of these languages are just cyphers for each other? How does the internal translation of these memories operate?
Imagine if Solas had just said "Look, the titan souls are going to be very fucking pissed at us for doing this, Mythal" and your companions just can't connect the dots dfkgkdfkgsdk.

Yo any Diluc Brainrotters out there?
I wanna make a longer post about Diluc's and Kaeya's dynamic with an interpretation I haven't really seen
Unfortunately the entire thing hinges on if Diluc has ever called Kaeya /anything/ other than his work titles

okay so the tags on that last post got me feeling those melon collies so i'm just gonna. tagdump in here. slightly sensitive topics? so uh. scroll down (or press J to jump to next post). or read my thoughts like the morning paper. sorry. cheers.
#edit: oh cool the mature content warning doesn't actually hide the tags? that's fucked.#i'll drag these to the top hopefully it'll push some lines back#one last space-filler tag for the road - weird brain thoughts afterwards#i dunno i'm just. i do not have a sense of self. i do not have a sense of identity.#essentially anything i can ascribe to myself is worn in the same vein that it fits close enough.#like clothes picked out after hours of unsuccessful shopping and im just tired and want to go home#am i a writer? sure. i write decently. i have a decent grasp of sentence structure. puts me leagues above plenty of other writing i see.#but then when i actually decide that i should write something i'm just filled with dread.#i can't respond to rp's i enjoy with partners i enjoy. i can't write fics about prompts and premises that i like.#am i a gamer? sure. i got multiple consoles; multiple game sources for each console; a backlog of games ive had to catalog.#but when i try to pick one out to play i just. don't want to. nothing appeals. nothing looks fun. i ask for suggestions and i take none.#anything singleplayer i have to stream or it's not fun. anything multiplayer i have to coordinate with others until we get bored.#what do i *do?* what do i *enjoy?*#i can keep myself occupied if needed but at the end of the day im not fulfilled#am i a programmer? that's the closest thing to enjoyment i've gotten in a long time#but do i actually enjoy the act of programming or do i enjoy the result#where at the end of the day i can show off what i made and get lauded with praise#i get a similar sense of satisfaction when im doing tech support and pull something out my ass and everybody goes “whoa how'd you do that”#the analogy that i've used a lot is how in some games at the start it's fine and fun#you're getting progression you're making progress you're learning and earning#but eventually it just. stops. there's more - not just in theory; it's right there! you can see it! - but it's just. so far away.#you can get there EVENTUALLY but it's just a grind. just a slogfest. there's more to unlock. more to explore. just sign in today. tomorrow.#keep coming back. you'll get there. eventually. it'll take forever.#now if this was an ACTUAL video game people would recommend that you stop and step away. does it spark joy? no? stop playing.#but ah. i can't quite stop playing this one.#and don't worry! i don't plan on putting down the controller! even though i mope and grump and weirdtalk my way down this hill#there is ZERO chance of me doing that.#but i ah. don't have a desire to keep playing.#it's a weird middle state to be in. don't wanna put down the controller. don't want to keep playing. i am just sitting here.#ive been attributing my more frequent thoughts on the matter to the whole roommate situation

Toxic Heat
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Agent! Female! Reader
Summary: While waiting for the extraction team after a successful mission, Bucky leaves you and runs into a greenhouse room in the mission building with strange plants. Accidentally breathing in the gas from the plants he returns to you, but something is off.

The mission had been straightforward at first: infiltrate the abandoned research outpost, gather intel, and get out before anyone noticed.
But when the team’s extraction was delayed, you and Bucky found yourselves trapped inside the building’s dusty corridors, waiting for backup.
After the constant, usual bickering and insults, he left and you heard his footsteps retreat down the hall as he scouted ahead, his metal arm clanking softly with each step. You stayed close to the cracked wall, nervously fingering the strap of your gear. Wishing there were windows to bring in any source of light throughout the creepy dim building.
Suddenly, Bucky’s footsteps stopped. Silence swallowed the hallway. Slight worry grew over you, as you take a look down the hallway, however, no sight or sound of him to be found.
When you finally heard footsteps again, you quickly peaked your head past the doorway down the hallway. Seeing Bucky approach, his movements were slower, heavier. His dark eyes held something unreadable — a flicker of distraction mixed with a strange heat.
You noticed the sweat beading at his temple, the way his breath came a little too fast, a little too shallow.
“Bucky?” Your voice curious, concern knitting your brows.
He didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he leaned against the doorway, jaw clenched tight, hand pressing over his mouth as if trying to catch his breath.
Your heart pounded. You couldn’t just stand there.
Carefully, you took a few steps closer, eyes scanning his face for any sign of injury or distress. “Are you hurt? You don’t look well.”
Your fingers hovered uncertainly near his arm before gently laying it on the flushed skin.
The contact made him flinch, a sharp intake of breath escaping his lips, and his whole body tensed under your touch.
He looked at you, confusion clouding his dark eyes before darting his eyes away. “I… I don’t know what’s happening,” he admitted quietly, voice strained. “I can’t… focus.”
You bit your lip, cheeks burning with a mix of worry and something else you couldn’t name.
Despite your hesitation, your fingers lingered, tracing the line of his jaw slowly.
His heavy breathing filled the tight space between you.
He wasn’t the bold, direct, and frankly asshole of a man you’d expected to come back— he was confused, vulnerable in a way that made your heart ache.
And yet, beneath that confusion simmered something primal, waiting to break free.
You swallowed hard, fighting the urge to pull back as Bucky’s gaze locked with yours—dark, confused, and somehow raw in a way you’d never seen before. His chest rose and fell rapidly, breath hitching like he was struggling to steady it.
“Do you need to sit down?” you offered softly, voice barely above a whisper. You hated how your own hands trembled, but you couldn’t just leave him like this.
Bucky shook his head slowly, jaw still tight. “No,” he said, voice rough, “I just… need a moment.”
You edged closer, feeling the warmth radiating off his body, the subtle tremor running through his muscles. Your fingers brushed again against his skin—this time along the softer flesh of the inside of his wrist, inspecting his seemingly pulsing veins.
He flinched again, that sharp intake of breath turning deeper, ragged. His eyes fluttered closed for a second, turning his face away from you as if trying to contain something he didn’t understand.
“Bucky…” Your voice softened, uncertainty threading through every word. “What’s going on?”
He opened his eyes, dark pools swirling with confusion and frustration. “I don’t know,” he said roughly, voice breaking just slightly. “I feel… wrong. Hot. Like I’m… burning up from the inside.”
You bit your lip, heart clenching. The man who is feared, who’s a deadly super soldier, was now trembling under your touch, vulnerable and raw.
Without thinking, your hand moved to rest flat against his chest, feeling the rapid thud of his heartbeat beneath your palm.
His breathing hitched, eyes darkening as if the simple contact overwhelmed him. “Don’t…” he growled out, voice hoarse.
The room seemed to shrink around you both, heavy with unspoken tension. You wanted to pull away, to respect his boundaries, but your body betrayed you—drawn to him like a moth to flame.
“Bucky,” you whispered, “I’m here. I’m not going anywhere.”
Your palm pressed against his chest, trying to calm the wild thumping of his heart. Bucky’s breath was ragged, uneven, like he was barely holding himself together. His dark eyes flicked toward you, filled with confusion—and something raw, unfiltered.
He growled softly, a frustrated sound. “I ran into some kind of room in the west wing with a bunch of plants. They were releasing some kind of gas. I don’t know what it’s doing to me, but—” He cut himself off, jaw tightening. “—it’s making me feel things. Things I don’t like.”
You raised an eyebrow, and try to lighten the mood. “Oh great. Just what I needed: Barnes, the grumpy tin man, suddenly turned into a hot mess.” You say softly, rolling your eyes with a slight smile
He scowled but didn’t deny it. “Keep it up, and I might just knock that smug smile off your face.”
“Yeah, yeah. Not like this you won’t” you teased, voice light despite the tension.
Bucky took a deep, shuddering breath. “Don’t tempt me. Besides, this isn’t a joke. I don’t know how to control it, and I don’t want you getting involved.”
You stepped closer, still wary but unable to look away. “Since when did you care what I think?”
His eyes darkened, and he took a half-step towards the other side of the room, like you might be contagious. “Since this gas has me all messed up and I’m not sure I’m still me.” He growls out
You bit your lip, trying not to let your cheeks betray how much the sight of him like this was affecting you.
“Look,” he said, voice low and rough, “I understand that we’re partnered up for this mission, but—” His voice cracked slightly, “right now… I need you to just stay out of it. Or maybe just don’t make it worse.”
You raised your hands in mock surrender. “Fine. But only because I’m curious what’ll happen next.” Not sliding in the tid-bit that you’re still extremely worried for him no matter how aggravating he may be or how many times he’s insulted you back at the avengers tower.
Bucky’s glare was sharp, but something softer flickered beneath it before he turned away, trying to hide the vulnerability that scared him.
Bucky’s back was stiff as a board as he leaned against an abandoned table in the room, jaw clenched tight, but the rapid rise and fall of his chest gave him away. The gas wasn’t just messing with his head—it was twisting something deeper, something primal he clearly didn’t want to admit.
Without a word, he suddenly stepped closer, the heat radiating off him intense and raw. His dark eyes locked onto yours with a sharpness that made your breath catch.
Then, almost abruptly, his hand reached out and grabbed your wrist—his grip firm but not cruel.
His voice came low and rough, like gravel scraping over steel. “You don’t get it. This gas… it’s messing with me. Making me feel things I shouldn’t.”
You blinked, caught off guard, heart pounding.
He swallowed hard, eyes darkening as if fighting to hold himself back. “I don’t want you involved. Hell, I don’t want anyone involved. Especially not you.”
You stepped back slightly, wary but steady. “Just cut deeper why don’t you.” You say dripping with sarcasm.
Bucky’s jaw tightened even more. Standing in silence very clearly thinking something through despite the haze he’s under. “I feel like I’m starting to lose control—and you’re the one thing that’s driving me crazy.”
His breath hitched. “I don’t want this. I don’t want to want you.”
Your cheeks flushed but you didn’t pull away.
He hesitated for a moment, then leaned in just enough for you to feel his breath on your skin.
“Don’t make me lose it,” he warned, voice rough and low.
The closeness of his face, feeling the hotness of his breath fanning over your skin, the tone of his voice. You can’t help but to begin breathing heavily. Despite you and Bucky’s mockery, insults, and arguing, you can’t help but be affected by how he’s acting towards you right now. Your eyes scan over him as you fail to resist the squeezing of your thighs and the feeling of molten heat pool in your stomach.
You notice his nostrils flare and his eyes close, inhaling deeply as he lets out a low groan. His eyes open and burned into yours, fierce and unyielding, but underneath there was a raw vulnerability that made your chest tighten. He walks closer towards you, making you back up until your back hits the cold concrete wall. The tension between you wasn’t just the usual snark or competition anymore—it was something sharper, hotter, dangerous.
Bucky closed the last few inches and pressed his palm flat against the wall beside your head, trapping you gently but firmly. His metal fingers brushed lightly against your temple, and a flicker of something desperate crossed his face.
“You don’t know what this is doing to me,” he muttered, voice thick with frustration and something darker. “I’m not… me right now. And I don’t want to hurt you.”
You swallowed hard, nerves sparking but your gaze steady. “You won’t.”
He swallowed again, chest rising and falling faster now, like every breath was a fight.
Then, almost reluctantly, his hand found yours—fingers curling around yours, cool against your skin but firm, possessive.
“I’m warning you,” he breathed, his voice dropping lower, “if you let me, I might not going to be able stop.”
His gaze flicked down to your lips, then back up, heavy with unspoken promises and desperate need.
You felt your heart hammer in your chest, caught between fear and the undeniable pull drawing you closer to him.
Bucky’s grip tightened around your fingers, a low growl rumbling deep in his throat. His dark eyes searched your face like he was looking for permission—and maybe begging for it too, though his pride wouldn’t let him say so.
“I don’t want this,” he snarled softly, voice rough and raw, “but I’m losing the fight.”
His breath hitched, hot and ragged against your skin. The heat radiating off him was suffocating—an almost tangible force pulling you closer, burning away the space between.
You wanted to pull back, wanted to remind him that you weren’t sure what this was either, that this was the opposite of professional, opposite of what you two were—but something in his expression held you fast, unsteady and trembling.
His metal hand slid from your fingers to your wrist, then higher, tracing the delicate skin of your forearm. Every inch was electric under his touch, like you were both alive on a knife’s edge.
“Tell me to stop,” he whispered hoarsely, voice thick with frustration, “and I will. But if you don’t…”
He closed the distance suddenly, lips brushing a harsh, breathless kiss against yours—rough and demanding, like he was trying to ground himself through the contact.
Your breath caught, shyness warred with a fierce, blooming heat deep inside you.
Bucky’s hands framed your face, thumbs brushing over your cheekbones as if trying to memorize every line, every trembling breath.
“I’m scared,” he admitted, voice low and vulnerable beneath the roughness. “Scared I won’t be able to pull back.” You feel him physically trying to restrain himself from pulling himself closer to you.
You swallowed, heart pounding louder than your thoughts.
“No,” you whispered, voice soft but sure. “Don’t pull back.”
His lips instantly found yours, crashing into your lips, with a wild insatiable hunger. There was no gentleness in it, just raw need and the taste of restraint shattering. He gripped your waist, his hands big and calloused, roughly pulling you flush against his body like he needed you to stay anchored to the ground.
You gasped into him, the sound catching in your throat as you felt the heat of him—every line of muscle, every tremble in his body that betrayed how hard he was fighting to stay in control.
“I shouldn’t want this,” he growled, voice rough against your lips, “not with you… not like this.”
But his hands didn’t stop. One slid up under your shirt, skimming over your ribs, fingertips dragging goosebumps in their wake. His touch was desperate, reverent, like he needed to memorize your body just to keep from coming undone.
“I didn’t even like you,” he muttered hoarsely, forehead resting against yours, breath ragged. “You always ran your mouth, always got under my skin…”
Your hands clutched at the front of his tactical shirt, heart pounding against your ribs. “You didn’t like me?” you managed, breathless.
“I hated how much I noticed you,” he growled. “How I couldn’t stop watching the way you moved… how you looked at me like you saw past the metal and my history.”
You whimpered as his fingers slipped beneath your waistband, teasing the skin just above your underwear. His touch wasn’t tentative—it was firm, claiming. Possessive. But there was a tremble in it, like he wasn’t sure if he was about to worship you or ruin you.
“Tell me to stop,” he whispered again, voice cracking with restraint. “Please.”
But you couldn’t. All you could do was look up at him, seeing him, pieces of hair falling in his face, his dark eyes staring into yours and let out a soft needy whine.
That was all he needed.
His mouth moved to your neck, kissing and biting, the sting softened by the heat of his tongue. His hand slid into your pants, cupping you firmly. The gasp that tore from your throat only made him press closer, lips brushing your ear.
“Fuck, you’re warm,” he groaned. “So soft…”
His fingers dipped lower, teasing over your folds, dragging a moan from you that made his grip falter—like your voice alone was a match to dry gasoline.
“You’re gonna ruin me,” he muttered, pressing his forehead to your shoulder as his fingers slipped inside you, slow but thick and deep. “Don’t even know if this is the gas anymore… or just you.”
You could barely breathe, body melting into his as he thrust his fingers slow and deep, watching your every reaction like he was starving for it. He was so careful despite the desperation coiled in his muscles—his touches growing rougher, but still holding back that last thread of restraint.
His fingers, curling just enough to make your knees shake. You gasped, a tremor running through your thighs as you clutched at the front of his suit, but Bucky didn’t rush—not yet.
He growled under his breath, forehead still pressed to your shoulder, lips ghosting against your skin as his fingers dragged slick and steady inside you.
“Goddamn…” he breathed, voice broken with awe and frustration. “You’re driving me out of my fucking mind.”
You whimpered, your breath shallow. “Bucky…”
His name made him shudder.
He pulled his hand away too soon, and you let out a small sound of protest. Bucky met your eyes then—completely unguarded. His pupils were blown wide, his lips slightly parted, sweat shining along his jaw.
“Don’t look at me like that,” he muttered. “I’m hanging on by a thread.”
You weren’t sure if that was a plead, command or a threat.
Then, you could feel the thick bulge of him straining against his pants, grinding against your soaked core through the fabric of your clothes.
“Feel that?” he rasped into your ear, rutting against you. “That’s what you’re doing to me. And I haven’t even gotten inside you yet.”
Your breath caught. His words lit a fire in your belly, made your thighs clench, made you ache.
His hand slipped down again, running two fingers over your clit.
“Fuck. You’re soaking.”
The curse slipped through his teeth like a prayer as your eyes roll back at the heavenly friction of his hand.
You whine once more as he brought his fingers up and stared at them—coated in your wetness—then met your eyes again as he sucked them slowly into his mouth.
Your legs nearly gave out. “Bucky…” you mutter.
“I’m not gonna fuck you yet,” he said, voice rough and tight like it hurt to say it. “Not until you’re begging for it.”
You whined, hips rolling instinctively toward him, chasing friction.
“Oh, you like that?” he murmured darkly, hand sliding between you again, rubbing slow, heavy circles over your clit. “The mouthy little agent who never shuts up… can’t even form a sentence now.”
You were panting, your body hypersensitive to every stroke, every drag of his rough voice.
“I want to ruin that attitude,” he growled. “Make you forget how to talk. Make you cry.”
His fingers dipped inside you again, thrusting slow and deep, each stroke deliberate and angled just right. You clenched around him, a soft cry leaving your lips, and he chuckled low and sharp in your ear.
“There it is,” he whispered. “That’s what I wanted. So fucking tight around my fingers already.”
His metal hand slid up your shirt, palming your breast through your bra, thumb flicking across your nipple with just enough pressure to make your back arch. “You gonna fall apart just from this?” he taunted, voice husky. “We haven’t even started yet.”
“Bucky—” you gasped.
“No,” he cut in, hot breath against your neck. “Not yet. You don’t get to come until I say.”
Your head hit the wall behind you with a soft thud, pleasure cresting inside you—too much, too slow, not enough.
Bucky’s mouth moved to your jaw, your throat, licking and biting as his fingers fucked you slow, precise, dragging you closer to the edge and pulling you back again and again.
“You think I don’t see the way you look at me?” he whispered. “Like you hate me. But underneath it? You wanted this. You wanted me.”
Your moan betrayed you.
He grinned against your throat, then sank his teeth into the delicate skin there—not enough to hurt, just enough to make you gasp. His hand never stopped moving, never gave you what you needed all the way. He was relentless, teasing, every inch of him vibrating with tension and barely held control.
“I could keep you like this for hours,” he muttered. “Desperate. Soaking wet. Shaking.”
He dragged his fingers out of you and pressed them between your lips.
“Taste how sweet you are,” he said roughly. “And tell me you don’t want me.”
Your mouth opened before you could stop yourself, and the taste of your own need sent heat rushing straight to your core.
Bucky growled. “Fuck, that’s it. That’s what I wanted.”
He pushed his hips into yours again, the thick, throbbing heat of him pressing right against your clit through the fabric.
“You ready?” he asked darkly. “Because once I’m inside you, I’m not stopping.”
You were trembling beneath him, body pinned to the wall, soaked and aching. Every nerve ending buzzed under the weight of his mouth, his hands, his voice—dragging you to the edge, over and over, without mercy.
And still… he hadn’t taken you.
Until now.
Bucky’s jaw flexed like he was still trying to fight it—but the look in his eyes told you he was past the point of no return.
“I told myself I wouldn’t,” he growled, lips ghosting over yours. “Told myself I could ride it out. Wait for backup. Do the right thing.”
He leaned in, pressing his forehead to yours, his hips grinding against you in a slow, punishing circle. You felt him—thick, hard, straining inside the confines of his pants—and your breath hitched.
“But I can’t fucking think straight,” he whispered, almost like it hurt. “Not when you’re this wet. This soft. Looking at me like you’d let me break you open.”
You didn’t say a word. You couldn’t. The air was thick with your shared breath, hot and humid, and your voice had long since abandoned you.
He slid your pants down, low enough for you to shimmy and step out of them. He reached down, undid his belt with shaking hands, and freed himself—thick and heavy and flushed, the head already leaking. The sight of it made your thighs clench instinctively.
Bucky groaned at the sight of you. “Fuck, look at you. So shy all the time, but now…” he leaned towards you, grabbed your thigh and wrapped it around his waist. He pushed your soaked underwear to the side, lined himself up and paused, metal hand gripping your thigh, holding you open, holding you still.
“Last chance,” he rasped. “You want me?”
You look up at him with pleading eyes and a whine, “please, Bucky….”
That was all it took.
He thrust forward in one deep, brutal stroke,
burying himself inside you to the hilt. You cried out, nails digging into his arms as your body stretched to take him.
“Shit,” he gritted through clenched teeth, eyes screwed shut. “So fucking tight. You feel—God—you feel unreal.”
He held still for a beat, shaking from the effort not to lose it too fast. But you clenched around him, and he groaned low in his throat, head falling to your shoulder.
Then he started to move.
Each thrust was deep, rough, and controlled—but just barely. He was shaking with it, like he couldn’t believe how good it felt, like every time he slammed into you it pulled a piece of him loose.
“You like it rough, sweetheart?” he growled against your ear.
But you were already gone—moaning, head back against the wall, gasping as your body met his rhythm instinctively. You give a messy nod.
“Yeah,” Bucky snarled, gripping your ass and lifting you a little higher so he could drive in deeper, your leg not wrapped around his waist barely touching the ground. “You take me so fucking good.”
The sound of skin slapping echoed off the walls, the wet slick of your arousal making each brutal thrust louder, messier.
“You think I don’t see you?” he grunted, voice ragged. “Always biting your lip around me, looking away. Playing innocent. But you’re not.”
His pace picked up, hips slamming into yours harder now, deeper. “You want this. You’ve always wanted this.”
“Bucky—” you whimpered, voice cracking.
“Say it,” he growled. “Say you want me.”
“I want you,” you gasped, clinging to him.
He cursed viciously, his control unraveling at the sound of your voice.
“Fuck—I’m not gonna last—” he bit out, slamming in deeper with each thrust. “You feel too good—too tight—I’ve never—”
He cut himself off with a broken groan, his lips crashing against yours in a searing kiss, swallowing your moans as he fucked you harder, rougher. Your body was shaking, teetering right at the edge, and he could feel it.
“Come for me,” he commanded, voice thick and guttural. “Now.”
And with one last, brutal thrust—he hit the spot that sent you spiraling.
You shattered around him, crying out, trembling as your climax tore through you, soaking him. Bucky followed instantly with a strangled groan, burying himself deep as he came hard, hips jerking, forehead pressed to yours as he gasped your name like a lifeline.
His hips slowed, but only slightly—just enough to ride out his own release as you trembled around him, body slack and twitching in his hold. But he didn’t pull out. He didn’t ease away. He stayed inside you, panting against your neck, every muscle still coiled tight like a predator that hadn’t fed nearly enough.
You whimpered softly as his cock throbbed still-hard inside you, impossibly thick, sensitive—but not softening. Not even a little.
“…You’re still hard,” you breathed, dazed.
Bucky’s shoulders shook with a low, humorless laugh. He dragged his mouth up your throat, tongue catching on the sweat at your collarbone before he murmured, “I know.”
His voice was darker now—gravel scraping over flame—and when he pulled his head back to look at you, his pupils were still blown wide, black swallowing the blue.
“That plant,” he said, panting, “it did something. I don’t feel normal, I—” He gritted his teeth and rolled his hips forward again, slow and grinding.
You moaned, sharp and overstimulated, but it only made him groan. “Still not enough.”
He pulled out just a few inches, dragging his cock against your soaked, sensitive walls—then slammed back in with a low, wrecked sound.
Your body jolted, pleasure colliding with sensitivity, making you gasp. “Bucky—”
“Can’t stop,” he growled. “Can’t. You feel too good. I need more.”
He hooked your other leg up around his waist, spreading you open and lifting you slightly off the ground. The shift in angle drove him deeper, the stretch unbearable, the pressure mounting again despite how recently you'd come. You were already growing slick around him again, your body betraying your mind as it begged for more.
“I should hate you for this,” he whispered against your lips. “You make me insane.”
“Then hate me,” you whispered back, breathless.
He snarled—and then snapped.
His mouth crashed to yours, biting and claiming, tongue dragging over your lips before plunging deep. At the same time, he started to fuck you again—harder than before, frantic and relentless, each thrust punching a moan out of you.
You had no defense anymore. No sharp quips, no witty retorts—just Bucky, inside you, growling your name like a curse and a prayer all at once.
“Gonna keep you like this,” he panted, lips brushing your ear. “Stuffed full of me. Until you can’t walk straight. Until everyone on comms knows what I did to you.”
His words hit you like lightning, heat pooling fast and hard in your gut again.
“You want that?” he murmured, nipping your earlobe. “Want me to ruin you until all you can say is my name?”
You couldn’t speak. You could only cry out, moaning shamelessly as he started slamming into you again—rough, wild, deep. His grip bruised your thighs, his mouth never left your skin, and every thrust sent stars behind your eyes.
“You’re mine right now,” he gritted, pounding into you. “Just mine.”
Your second orgasm hit harder—sharper—your body seizing around him with a cry that echoed through the empty hall. You were pulsing around him, milking him, but this time, Bucky didn’t come.
He just groaned and kept going.
His breath was ragged now, like he was in pain from holding back.
“I’m not done,” he choked out, pressing your back tighter to the wall. “Not until I’ve wrung every fucking sound out of you.”
Then he pulled out, slowly, deliberately—and spun you around.
Your hands hit the wall just in time to catch yourself as he dragged your underwear the rest of the way off. You whimper at the cold concrete pushing against your soft chest. His hands gripped your hips, pulling your ass back toward him—and without pause, he shoved himself back in from behind with a deep, wrecked growl.
You gasped, moaning at the new angle, at how deep he felt this way.
His hand came around to your front again, fingers finding your swollen clit, rubbing in messy circles.
“You’re taking me so fucking well,” he snarled. “Like you were made for me.”
The words made you clench, and he hissed through his teeth, hips stuttering.
“Say it,” he barked. “Tell me you want more.”
“More—” you choked, hands scrambling for purchase against the wall. “Bucky—God—more—”
He slammed into you even harder, punishing now, wrecked with need.
“Good girl,” he growled, voice low.
Your hands braced against the wall, fingers splayed, trying to ground yourself—but Bucky gave you no reprieve.
His thrusts were brutal now, paced with a rhythm that shook through your entire body. Each snap of his hips pushed a cry from your lips, every inch of him stretching you open all over again, slick from your last two orgasms and still somehow burning for more.
You were soaked. Raw. Quivering.
And he was insatiable.
Behind you, Bucky was panting like a man possessed. His forehead dropped to your shoulder for a second, teeth grazing your sweat-slicked skin as his grip on your hips tightened, fingers digging in deep enough to bruise.
“Fucking hell,” he growled, voice wrecked. “I can feel you squeezing me—like you’re trying to pull me deeper.”
You moaned, unable to answer. You weren’t sure there were words anymore—just sensation.
Heat. Pressure. Him.
He slammed into you harder, and your knees buckled, but he caught you—one arm locking around your waist, dragging you up against his chest. Moaning, feeling your body pressed flushed against his. His other hand was still between your legs, fingers working your clit with ruthless precision, flicking and circling until your legs were trembling, your cries coming faster.
“Gonna come again,” he rasped in your ear. “I can feel it. You’re so close, baby. Give it to me.”
His metal hand gripped your throat—slightly tight, just enough to tilt your head, to control you—and he sank his teeth into the curve of your neck as he fucked you harder, faster.
You cried out, your body tipping toward the edge again with dizzying speed, your back arching at the intense pleasure.
“Say it,” he ordered through gritted teeth. “Say you want to come on my cock.”
“Please—Bucky—want it—fuck—I want it, I want it—”
“That’s it,” he hissed. “God, that’s it—gonna make you come so fucking hard—”
You clenched around him, your whole body going taut—and then snapped.
Your climax tore through you like fire, a scream ripping from your throat as your pussy spasmed around him, pulsing, slick, drenching him.
Bucky groaned like it broke him, thrusting deep one last time before he came with a roar—slamming into you to the hilt, cock twitching as he spilled inside, hot and thick, filling you to overflowing.
He held you tight, shuddering, mouth pressed to your shoulder as he rode it out—still pulsing, still deep inside you.
For a moment, everything was quiet—just your panting, the wet sounds of your bodies, and his heart hammering against your back.
Then he finally spoke—voice low, hoarse, almost reverent.
“…Still hate me, sweetheart?”
You let out a breathless, broken laugh against the wall.
“Only when you’re not fucking me like that.”
Bucky chuckled darkly, nuzzling your neck, still buried inside you. “Then I guess I’ll have to keep doing it.”
Bucky’s breathing was still ragged behind you, his broad chest rising and falling against your back. His arms stayed wrapped around your waist, firm but gentle now, as if afraid you’d slip away if he let go.
You both stayed like that for a long moment—pressed together, skin flushed and slick with sweat, the heavy sound of your breathing the only thing filling the silence.
Then, slowly, he eased out of you, hissing softly at the overstimulation. You whimpered, sensitive and sore and still trembling, and he caught you as your knees buckled, guiding you gently to the floor.
The moment your back hit the cold wall, you shivered.
“Shit,” Bucky muttered, voice thick and gravelly. “You okay?”
You looked up at him, lips parted, dazed. “I think so…”
He crouched in front of you, one knee bent, eyes scanning your face—not with lust now, but something softer. Something real. His pupils weren’t as blown out anymore. The sharp edge of heat in them was starting to fade.
And for the first time since all this started, you realized… the gas was wearing off.
You could see it in his body—the subtle way his muscles unclenched, the way his breathing evened, like his senses were slowly coming back under control.
“…Bucky,” you murmured, still catching your breath, “what was that stuff?”
He exhaled hard, dragging a hand back through his damp hair.
“Like I said earlier, there was a room. Down the hall. Some kind of overgrown greenhouse or lab, I don’t know.” His voice was quieter now, more grounded. “I barely stepped inside before I started sweating. My head got light, and then everything started to burn. My skin, my blood… my cock.”
You flushed, throat bobbing as your eyes flicked down between you.
He noticed. His jaw tightened.
“I didn’t know what was happening,” he added, guilt creeping into his tone. “Didn’t understand why I was reacting like that until I saw you again and I just—”
He broke off, shaking his head like he was angry at himself.
“I’m sorry,” he said, finally. “I shouldn’t’ve touched you. Not like that. Not when I wasn’t thinking straight.”
But you reached out and curled your fingers around his vibranium wrist, grounding him.
“You didn’t force me,” you said softly. “I wanted it. All of it.”
His eyes met yours—sharp, guarded, like he was still waiting for the punchline.
“You sure?” he asked. Not a tease. Just a whisper of vulnerability cracking through the armor.
You gave a breathless laugh, nodding. “Yeah. Pretty sure the three orgasms confirm that.”
That pulled a small, crooked smirk from him—but it didn’t last. His gaze drifted back to where your bare thighs were still spread, slick and flushed, your pants still tangled around one ankle. You were raw, used, full of him.
And still… somehow… the tension wasn’t gone.
“You didn’t hate it,” he murmured, like he was testing the waters.
“No,” you admitted. “And… maybe I don’t hate you as much as I pretend to.”
That surprised him.
He tilted his head, lips parting like he had something to say—but instead, he leaned forward, slowly, giving you the chance to stop him.
You didn’t.
His lips brushed yours, soft this time. Nothing like the devouring heat from earlier. Just a quiet, aching thing. A kiss that said we’re not done—but maybe not just in a physical way.
You kissed him back, fingers curling into his jacket. And when he finally pulled away, his forehead leaned against yours, breath warm across your face.
“I’ll get you cleaned up,” he murmured, voice husky again, but this time with gentleness rather than hunger.
You nodded, legs still shaky. “Yeah. I… don’t think I can stand yet.”
That made him chuckle, low and rough.
“You won’t be walking straight for a while.”
You smacked his chest weakly, and he grinned. It was the first time you’d ever really seen him smile—not that tight, sarcastic twist, but something real.
And just like that… something had shifted.
The lines that used to keep you on opposite sides of every room were gone—burned away by sweat, heat, and the way his hands had held you like he was afraid of losing something he didn’t know he wanted.
As he helped you pull your clothes back on, slow and careful, your fingers brushed. You didn’t pull away.
Neither did he.
⊹ ︶⏝⭒ ⊹ ⭒⏝︶ ⊹
By the time the extraction team touched down, the gas was well out of Bucky’s system—but the aftermath lingered on both of you like a second skin.
He still walked close to you. His arm still brushed yours whenever the hallway narrowed. His jacket, slung loosely around your shoulders, smelled like him—warm leather and sweat and something darker, primal, something you’d felt grinding deep inside you less than an hour ago.
Neither of you had said much since.
Not because there wasn’t anything to say—but because the weight of everything that had happened still hummed like a live wire between you.
And when the door to the building finally slammed open and Sam’s voice came over the comms—dry, impatient, and absolutely oblivious—you nearly jumped.
“There you two are,” he said, stepping into view in full gear, eyes flicking from you to Bucky. “Took your sweet time, huh? We were about to call it and let you rot in there.”
Bucky didn’t flinch. He just grunted. “We managed.”
Sam looked at the both of you suspiciously.
Your hair was a mess. Your pants were definitely on inside out, despite your frantic fumbling earlier. Bucky’s shirt clung to him with dried sweat, and his belt was still hanging open under his tactical vest.
And when Sam’s eyes narrowed and slid down to the distinct bite mark blooming just beneath your collarbone, visible even beneath the edge of Bucky’s jacket—
He froze.
Blinked.
And looked back at Bucky. Slowly.
“…Did you fight each other?”
You opened your mouth, panic rising in your throat.
But Bucky—smug bastard—beat you to it.
“Doesn’t matter,” he said coolly, leading the way past Sam without missing a beat. “I won.”
Sam gawked after him. “You won what? An STD?!”
You groaned and followed quickly, cheeks flaming. “Shut up, Wilson.”
“You shut up!” Sam called after you. “I’m gonna have to Lysol the entire jet, aren’t I?!”
Bucky didn’t even blink as he climbed aboard.
You shot him a glare as you slid into the seat across from him, keeping your arms crossed even though his jacket still hung around your shoulders like some ridiculous trophy.
The second Sam stepped in behind you, eyeing the both of you like a disgruntled parent, you tried to school your expression into something neutral.
You failed.
Bucky smirked.
“So,” Sam said, dropping into the pilot’s chair with a sigh. “Either of you wanna tell me why your vitals were going crazy on the monitors for thirty minutes straight?”
“Must’ve been a glitch,” Bucky replied smoothly.
Sam turned, staring at him.
You were biting your lip. Hard.
“A glitch,” Sam repeated flatly.
Bucky shrugged, unbothered. “Must’ve been the plant gas. Messed with my sensors.”
“Oh, I bet it did,” Sam muttered, spinning back to the controls. “God, I’m too old for this.”
The Quinjet engines flared to life.
You glanced at Bucky. He was watching you from under his lashes, jaw tight, one corner of his mouth twitching upward like he was this close to smiling.
You leaned closer, voice just low enough that Sam wouldn’t hear.
“You’re really proud of yourself, aren’t you?”
Bucky’s smile turned wicked.
“You’re the one still wearing my jacket, sweetheart.”
You flushed—and hated how much it thrilled you.
As the jet lifted into the sky, the tension didn’t fade.
It simply shifted.
No longer the tension of enemies circling each other like knives waiting to clash—but the quieter, heavier kind. The kind that simmers under the surface, waiting to boil over again the second you're alone.
And something told you…
This wasn’t over.
Not even close.

Tumblr media
- sylus x reader
when your husband went away without so much as a proper notice, you thought you wouldn't forgive him so easily. but he tries everything to capture your heart back: spoiling and indulging you… little do you know that he expects a reward in return
genre/warnings: 18+ suggestive content—minors do not interact!—rotten fluff, domestic bliss, explicit smut, cunnilingus, fingering, mating press, taking elements from sylus' card night of secrecy, secret times approaching dusk and spoilers! from myth beyond cloudfall
note: my first sylus x mc fic! with this i'm spreading the soft!sylus agenda and that spicy 4-star approaching dusk has destroyed me :') loosely based on this post
Tumblr media
Sometimes, you do wonder... does Sylus really think you're that easy to placate?
On one chilly morning, you woke up only to discover your hunk of a husband gone... and in his side of the bed, a sticky note.
Your eyebrow twitched as you read the audacious message scrawled on it:
Hey, kitten. I need to leave for a few days. There are things I have to handle on my own. Take care of yourself while I’m away. I’ll come back soon.
That was it. No clear explanation, no further details. Just those vague words in such short notice. The day before, he’d seemed like his usual self, not a hint of this sudden departure in sight.
It irked you. It made your heart clench at the same time. Because even after marrying you, Sylus remained elusive, playing his cryptic games. It was beyond you how he didn't even stop to consider how you were left worrying about him while he drifted in and out of his dangerous world without a second thought.
You understood the reality of your lives—that you were a hunter and he was the Onychinus leader, and that to be with him meant you had to walk that fine gray line between light and dark.
And you'd already made your choice. You had accepted it—accepted him—wholly. Even when your marriage had been a rushed affair and registered under false names to protect both your identities.
Things couldn't go on like this. You had to teach him a lesson too.
As your irritation simmered into determination, a devious plan began to take shape in your mind—a way to spite him just enough to make your point crystal clear.
Tumblr media
Two days later
Sylus was done with his dirty business faster than he thought, and to appease you, he had come bearing gifts.
The precious little thing that is now his wife, of course he missed you too. But your safety was a price he wasn’t willing to gamble. If going away to take care of those pests meant your peace would be unperturbed, then he would leave without hesitation.
However, as he stepped inside the base, his relief quickly turned to unease. The space was eerily empty, the usual hum of activity conspicuously absent.
Normally, you’d be at the center of some commotion, locked in a spat with either Mephisto, or Luke and Kieran. But now—
“What do we do?! She’s gone!”
Sylus immediately rushed to the source of the ruckus, thinking something bad had happened to you. He found his henchmen standing in a tight, anxious circle around the coffee table.
“What happened?” he demanded.
Without a word, they stepped aside, revealing the object of their concern: a single note lying on the table.
He snatched it up, scanning the words. Then, he let out a sharp exhale of relief, a smirk began tugging at the corners of his lips.
Catch me if you can.
Typical. Absolutely typical. And maddeningly you.
. . .
That night, you had a very strange dream, it felt almost felt like stepping into the pages of an ancient tale.
You were a fallen princess wrongfully accused as a sorceress, who began consorting with the fearsome fiend from the Abyss.
The sorceress and her dragon. Together, you were an infamous pair, a dark legend whispered across generations. Your union had ignited Doomsday itself... and yet, amidst the turmoil and destruction, the sorceress fell in love with the dragon... deeply and irrevocably.
The dragon, in turn, was utterly bewitched by his little witch. He indulged your every whim, no matter how mischievous or perilous, and though he rarely spoke of his true feelings, he always found ways to show his affection.
The lucid dream felt as though it might go on forever, but you were pulled from it by the soft brush of lips against your forehead. The warmth lingered, blurring the lines between dream and reality, until your eyes fluttered open.
“Sylus...?” His features, fresh from your dream, now materialized in your reality. It took you a few seconds to realize that he had come here—
“Morning, sweetie.” His voice was rich and smooth, with that familiar, mischievous edge. A smirk curled on his devilishly handsome face as he leaned in, garnet eyes gleaming with playful intent. “Caught you now, hmm?”
The haze of sleep vanished in an instant, and you were suddenly wide awake. In a flurry, you shoved him away and turned your back on him, trying to regain some semblance of control.
You’d left the N109 Zone for one of his safehouses in suburban Chansia City, thinking it would take him some effort to track you down. Clearly, you’d underestimated him.
“Oh. The kitten is in a bad mood, it seems.” Sylus’ gaze lingered on you, amusement flickering in his eyes. “Well, what do I owe the ire for?”
“...”
“Silent treatment, huh? The lady of the house is getting better at our little games while I was away.”
“...”
“Remember, sweetie, there’s no divorce in our relationship, hmm? If you’re tired of me, keep taking naps.”
You felt the weight shift as he rose from the bed and stalked away. The door clicked shut, leaving you in the silence of the room.
You wanted to resent him for coming and going on his terms, for never offering even an apology. Yet, no matter how much you tried, a part of you remained hopelessly tethered to him. The part that couldn’t ignore the reminder of the dragon from your dream—captivating, powerful, and infuriatingly hard to resist.
You love him, really you do.
. . .
When you didn’t come down for breakfast some time later, Sylus barged into the room once again, and this time he came up with a different approach.
“My lady,” he began, his voice sickeningly low and sweet, but his eyes gleamed with a touch of mischief. “You haven’t had breakfast yet. Please come down.”
You shot him a look, unamused, and decided to play his game as you crossed your arms together. “What if I don't want to?”
His smirk only grew, his tone dripping with mock formality. “And what must I do to change your mind?”
Despite yourself, you couldn’t help but notice his persistence. He had chased you here, given you more time to sleep in, and now stood before you to get you to eat. You felt your resolve beginning to soften—maybe just a little.
“Carry me there,” you said with a hint of defiance, lifting your chin high, daring him to follow through.
Sylus tilted his head, failing to restrain his snort. “As you wish, my lady.”
He placed his arms around you effortlessly, one hand beneath your knees and the other supporting your back, lifting you into a flawless princess carry. You instinctively put your arms around his neck, and he turned to you.
You opened your mouth, ready to fire off a sharp retort, but before you could, he dived in—
Smooch!
—and planted a bold, wet kiss on your lips. You, wide-eyed, punched his chest in retaliation. “Sylus!”
He chuckled, entirely unfazed. “Careful now, sweetie. Wiggle too much, and you’ll fall.”
He carried you downstairs, effortlessly navigating each step with you still in his arms. Once there, he gently set you down onto the dining chair, and that was when you noticed the table.
Salad, slightly burnt toast, scrambled eggs, milk—simple dishes by all means, but the thought the big, bad Sylus making them?
Wait. When you arrived last night, this place was a dusty shell, and the refrigerator had practically nothing—
“You cleaned the place?” you asked, your tone laced with surprise as your turned from the spotless room to him.
He shrugged nonchalantly. “Why is that so surprising? I can cook and clean just like everyone else.”
It sent a wave of warmth through your chest. He’d prepared food and cleaned the place knowing you’d be hungry and uncomfortable with dust all around.
You huffed, trying to hide how your heart fluttered. “No, your cooking skills are questionable at best.”
As if to prove you wrong, Sylus disappeared into the pantry and reemerged with a tray of warm, freshly baked dough that filled the room with a heavenly aroma.
“You are... baking?” You approached him, mystified at the sight of your husband, who usually at the scene of crime, behind the counter and started frosting the cupcakes.
He set the frosting bag down and picked up a cupcake, holding it to your lips with a teasing smile. “Here. Open up.”
Dutifully, you nibbled on the cupcake, and the sweetness immediately spread into your mouth. “It's tasty,” you mumbled, blinking at him. His eyes crinkled with satisfaction as he gestured toward the tray.
“Go have some more.”
Grinning, you grabbed another cupcake and eagerly took a bite. Munching away, you missed how Sylus’ gaze softened, his bright red eyes focused solely on you.
He couldn't resist pinching your full cheeks at that moment.
“Sy-wus!” you protested, glaring at him. His laughter broke free that instant, warm and unrestrained.
Utterly funny, utterly precious—that’s what you were to him.
Indignant, you scooped up some icing from the cupcake and smeared it right across his face. The stunned look he gave you was priceless, and before he could react, you burst into a fit of giggles and bolted out of the kitchen.
But as you reached the base of the stairs, a strong arm caught your waist from behind, halting your escape. You squealed in surprise, “Noooo!”
Sylus leaned closer and pressed you to his chest, his voice rumbling in your ear. “Ha. Did you really think you could get away that easily?”
He lifted you up with one arm and brought you back to the kitchen, setting you down on the counter and trapping you in place with his arms braced on either side. His eyes sparkled with mirth as he leaned in, and with a grin, he bumped his frosting-smeared nose against yours, leaving a sticky smudge.
“This is unfair!” you protested, still caught in a fit of giggles as you looped your arms around his neck for balance. Sylus chuckled along with you, his gaze steady and warm, never leaving yours.
Being with Sylus in the kitchen like this, savoring simple meals and smearing each other with frosting, it made you realize that you craved this domestic bliss more than you thought.
As the laughter subsided and you both settled into the quiet, your expression softened, all your previous grievances forgotten. The tenderness in your eyes said everything you didn’t need words for, and Sylus could see it clearly—you adored him, just as much as he adored you.
The one who gazed into his jewel-like eyes, embraced his burning soul and sang to him in the night wind... is once again in his arms. A part of him was almost sentimental at the thought.
Instinctively, he closed the distance between you, his lips hovering just a breath away from yours. But as they were about to meet, he paused, as if hesitating, leaving you puzzled.
Then, without a second thought—
To hell with it.
You chose to abandon all senses. You seized the moment—yanking him to you and capturing his lips, claiming him for yourself.
“…!” Suck, suck, bite, suck— You were relentless, and you didn't really know why. At first, even he was taken aback, but then his hand slipped behind your head, fingers threading through your hair as he deepened the kiss, his tongue tangling with yours in an intoxicating rhythm.
“Mmm...” You sneakily began to undo the buttons of his shirt one by one, your fingertips grazing his warm skin with each deliberate motion. Feeling it, Sylus broke the kiss just enough to smirk, his voice husky. “Getting bold, aren’t we?”
But before you could respond, his hands trailed down your sides, firmly pulling you closer, leaving no space between the two of you. His gaze burned with desire, as if daring you to keep going.
Then, without warning, his lips began their descent, grazing your jaw softly before trailing down to your neck and chest, leaving a trail of warmth and shivers across your skin. The feeling was intoxicating, even as his hair tickled you, making it hard to focus on anything but him.
“Ahh,” you couldn’t help but sigh, pressing him closer.
His lips left wet marks on your neck, and he whispered, “Now tell me... what made you so upset that you left home?”
When you didn't answer right away, one of his hand slid beneath your blouse, unhooking your bra and grazed your skin—
“You... keep coming and going as you please...” you stammered, feeling him begin to cup and squeeze your breasts, your breath growing erratic.
Sylus bit down on the skin at the nape of your neck, and you almost gasped.
“It's almost as if— Mmm—” The way he fondled your chest made the space between your legs grow warmer. “—you wouldn’t... miss m-me at all...”
How untrue. He stopped his ministrations, and the steel behind those eyes you loved so much met your gaze once again.
His wife was a mess of sweat already. He swiftly hooked your thighs around his waist and claimed your lips once more. With effortless movement, Sylus guided you to the long recliner in the room, laying you down there, still lost in the heat of the kiss. His hand intertwined with yours, pinning you to the soft surface.
“So...” he rasped, breathless against your lips, “You’re upset that I didn't miss you when I was away...”
His other hand worked to unzip your skirt. “But don’t you know? I... was worried about my wife getting into trouble when I wasn’t with her too... That’s why I was in a hurry to go home...”
Sylus pulled away, both of you panting for air, and he took a moment to savor the sight of your glazed eyes.
“But then I couldn't find her anywhere.” His voice was low and taunting, trailing his fingers on your belly. “I made it back as soon as I could, just like I told you and you are the one who misbehaved... Don’t you think I deserve something as a compensation?”
It took you three solid seconds to realize that the lower half of your body was now exposed. Your husband parted your legs and settled his face between them, pressing a kiss on your knee.
“So I believe at the very least... I deserve this.”
He dived straight for your clit then and you let out a loud gasp.
“Ngh! Aaah...!” You let out incoherent moans as he devoured your folds, lost in the cloudy haze of pleasure. It didn’t take long to unravel you at all.
“Mmnh—!” Your eyes almost rolled to the back of your head. Ticklish, hot, wet— all in all, it felt like a sin, but you just had to get this heavenly taste. “…a-ah!”
Sylus felt how you were this close to get your orgasm, so he moved faster, licking and sucking your clit, while adding a couple of fingers to bring you to the peak faster. You unconsciously moved your hips against his face— too far gone to be thinking anything else, grasping the leather of the sofa and pulling his hair—
“Ahh— S-Sylus!” And then you came hard, screaming his name, feeling how much it was— were you squirting?
You didn't know, didn't care either, as it was the sight of his ruby eyes that grounded you. You were spent, spread on the sofa (most probably ruined it, even), your chest heaving to catch your breath.
Sylus let out a low rumble as he wiped your juices off his lips with a thumb and tasted it, looking so sinfully sexy like a forbidden fruit while at it.
“You said... I wouldn't miss you.” He traced one finger on your face with such tenderness. “Now, I'm going to show you, and you'll be judge of it. Are you sure you don't want me to stop?”
If you said no, he would comply. That was the kind of person he was and you knew it. Sylus had always looked out for you since the very beginning, no matter how nonchalant he made himself to be.
“No.” You met his eyes, your voice steady. “Show me.”
It was the only affirmation he needed. He began unbuckling his belt and pants, keeping his unclouded gaze on yours, and soon he too was bare before you.
He was thick and long, and while you had taken him many times, it was never fully easy to ease the intrusion. His tip was already slick with precum, and he spread it along his length.
“You know the rule,” he murmured with a meaningful smile. “If it becomes too much, you scream, and I'll stop.”
He positioned himself at your entrance, sliding in slowly. The sharpness of the stretch seeped into you bit by bit, and you couldn't help but groan.
“—!” A sharp hiss escaped you as he fully sheathed himself inside, hitting that sensitive spot. Had your eyes deceived you, or was there a slightly noticeable bulge in your belly from where he was?
Sylus seemed to notice it too, but he folded your knees, spreading you further. His gaze intense and filled with something deep, something possessive. The room seemed to narrow, your entire focus consumed by him as he settled in close.
“Eyes on me, kitten.” He gave you a smile, and with that, he started pounding you—
“Ah, hah, ahhh!” You couldn't stop moaning beneath him as he thrusted into you. The feeling of him so deep inside, coupled with the way you tightened around him, sent waves of blind pleasure through you.
Sylus’ eyes darkened, his jaw clenched as he watched you squirm under him. Your skin glistened with the heat of the moment, and the sound of your breaths, frantic and needy, filled the room. His control slipped, just a little, as he pushed deeper, his movements faster, chasing the release that quickly building within both of you.
A pretty mess, his wife is. Your face contorted in a mix of pleasure and pain as he bred you, and he swore, of everything he had gone through, this look in your face was always worth it.
“Sylus—!” you almost wailed, nails digging into his back, and he growled, knowing full-well that he was finally losing it.
Just like that he shot his cum straight to your womb, his own body shuddering, thoroughly rutting into you. You cried, tears falling from your lashes as you too reached your climax.
Full, too full... Yet you knew that you wouldn't have it another way.
. . .
It felt warm and comforting.
Your eyes fluttered open hours later, and the first thing you noticed was Sylus' sleeping face, and that you were now in the bedroom.
He looked so vulnerable like this. You couldn’t help but be drawn to how serene and unguarded he was, a side of him that only you got to see. Even in his sleep, his arms were wrapped around your waist, as if to protect you from anything that might disturb your rest.
Your lover... and then husband. He was rough around the edges, sometimes didn't make any sense at all, and often reckless enough to burn himself playing with fire.
“You sly crow…” You gazed at his profile, still in awe that this elusive man was your husband.
Sylus was easy to read sometimes, and you couldn’t help but smile at your earlier doubts about him. How could you not see just how deeply he was attached to you?
Just like the inseparable pair of dragon and sorceress in your dream, you knew you’d stay by his side until the very end.
Out of a playful surge of affection, you tapped his nose, and he grunted softly but didn’t wake, instead nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck, seeking more of your warmth. It was cute, how he was so worn out that he sought comfort in your embrace.
You pressed a soft kiss to his forehead then, vowing with everything you had that you’d never let him go, and that with him by your side, you would definitely made this life you shared a happy one.
Tumblr media
Several weeks later...
“Thank you, miss!”
The boy bowed his head with a wide grin as soon as you handed him the red pocket money for Linkon New Year. You waved at him, smiling warmly as he skipped away, clutching the envelope in his hands.
The festive occasion inspired you to pay a visit to a nearby orphanage, driven by a desire to share more of the joy and blessings. You brought small gifts and red envelopes, hoping to bring a little light to the children’s lives and make the celebration even more meaningful for them.
Of course, Sylus tagged along too. He was the benefactor, after all.
“Sir, thank you for your generosity.” The headmistress approached Sylus, who looked effortlessly sharp in his red suit, and gave his hand a shake. “The children are really happy with the cupcakes and pocket money.”
He merely chuckled and pointed at you with his chin. “Thank her, my wife is the one with the idea.”
You joined the conversation shortly after, and it didn’t take long for the topic to shift from the orphanage to your personal lives.
“So, do the two of you have plans to start a family soon?” the headmistress asked, her tone warm and curious. “Both of you are still young, and you're so good with kids. Having children of your own might bring even more joy into your lives.”
You mustered a polite laugh, the words to gracefully deflect her comment forming on your lips, when—
“Soon,” Sylus interjected smoothly, his arm slipping around your waist, pulling you closer. “Very soon, in fact.”
You blinked at him, startled by his bold declaration, while the headmistress’s face lit up with approval. You nudged him discreetly.
As soon as the headmistress went on her way, you turned to him with a frown. “Why would you tell her that?”
Your gaze met his, clear and utterly clueless. Sylus snorted, so tempted to pinch your cheeks, but settling instead for a tender pat on your head.
“You'll see soon enough, sweetie,” he replied, his tone laced with playful mystery.

Epilogue
It was the dead of night when a sudden wave of nausea overtook you. Stumbling out of bed, you rushed to the bathroom, barely making it to the toilet before retching up the contents of your stomach.
Your body trembled as you stood, dizziness threatening to topple you. Leaning heavily on the sink for support, you rinsed your mouth, trying to steady yourself. The effort left you shivering, your legs almost buckling beneath you.
Before you could even comprehend the blur in your vision, a pair of strong arms got a hold over you. “S-Sylus...?” you murmured faintly.
Without hesitation, he lifted you into his arms securely as he carried you back to the bedroom, his expression shadowed with concern.
As he settled you onto the bed, he held you close, pressing your face against his bare chest that peeked from his unbuttoned shirt. “Take deep breaths,” he urged softly, his voice grounding you.
You inhaled shakily, letting the familiar warmth of his scent calm your frayed nerves. Slowly, your breathing steadied, though the nausea still lingered in the back of your throat.
“Is it the first time?” he questioned, smoothing your hair. “Have you thrown up before?”
You shook your head. “No... I get dizzy spells but that's it... This is the first time.”
Nausea, dizziness, vomiting. It wasn't hard to piece together what it was. Amidst your dazed thoughts, the realization hit you, and you turned to your husband almost in wonder. “Sylus... a-am I...?”
Sylus broke into a smirk, ruffling your hair. “Told you. I know your period is late.”
Your heart skipped a beat—and it was the only thing you could hear in that moment. The thought that a baby would enter your lives left you briefly speechless.
“Yeah, at the rate we're going, it’s like we’re bunnies,” you quipped sullenly, trying to regain a sense of control as you leaned into his broad chest.
You really thought he would poke fun at you for your highly possible pregnancy, but instead you were taken aback when he pressed a fond, lingering kiss to the side of your head. His arms tightened around you, his soft chuckle reverberating through his chest.
And when you found his gaze again, his jewel-like eyes softened into such an extent that made your heart soar.
“Well, aren’t I the luckiest man— having this fair lady be the mother of my child?”

My manager said I’m “unprofessional” and all I can think about is how I want her all for myself. AITA?
feat. saja boys (jinu-centric) ⎯⎯ wc. 1.5k
content: female reader, manager!reader, fluff, slight crack, gets kinda dark at the end, possessive jinu, no beta we die like me after finding out that lee byung-hun is the voice of gwi-ma
note. goofy ass...
Tumblr media
I (400, M) have a really cute manager and I kinda like her. Sometimes I tease her to get her attention (you know, like all men do) but yesterday, she tells me that I’m unprofessional and I piss her off :(
“Jinu! What did I say about posting Instagram stories without going through me first?!”
Abby is quick to scramble away from the scene of the crime, taking his phone with him. Baby, who’s looking for something to drink, quietly closes the fridge and speed-walks to the living room.
No one wants to be in your line of sight when you’re angry, demon or not.
Meanwhile, the source of all your headache is slumped over the kitchen table lazily, scrolling his phone with one hand. His other hand is deep in a bowl of popcorn as he munches away without a care in the world.
“Jinu!” Slamming your hand on the table, Jinu finally angles his head to look at you.
“Oh, hey, manager.” He smiles dazzlingly. “What did I do now?”
You exhale in frustration, knowing that Jinu loves to press your buttons. “Who’s on your Close Friends list?”
Jinu tilts his head. “There’s only one person. Guess.”
“I’m really not in the mood to play games.”
“Aww, come on~”
Instead of trying to talk with a man with the personality of a seven year old, you opt to do this the easy way: you snatch Jinu’s phone and checks his Instagram settings, sighing in relief when you see only one person in his Close Friends list:
You.
“Very funny. As if you don’t annoy me enough in the real world already, you just had to insert yourself into my online life too.” Grumbling in annoyance, you deleted his dumb story as an extra measure before handing it back to him. “Why would you post a photo of me and caption it with ‘smash’?!”
“Because...” Jinu slings an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him with one swift motion, “I would...?”
That answer must’ve not been good enough because Jinu earns himself a hard smack on the arm.
“You’re the most unprofessional idol I’ve ever had the misfortune of working with! If you piss me off one more time, I swear—!”
Tumblr media
She’s indeed very competent at her job and she takes things very seriously. That’s part of why I like her... and also why I like to tease her. I just want her to be able to let loose and take it easy instead of always worrying about numbers and charts and promos. For the record, we actually have a pretty good relationship.
“Damn it!”
The Saja Boys didn’t even look up from their telenovela, already used to your outbursts by now.
“What now?” Jinu deadpans, “Did they cancel the feature?”
“No, worse.” You sigh, “Golden is so damn catchy.”
The boys’ head slowly turns to your direction.
“You saved it on your Spotify playlist, didn’t you?!” Jinu points, gasping in horror.
“I-” Hiding your phone behind your back, you stand up under the critical eyes of the Saja Boys, “What I do in my free time is none of your concern!”
“Have you saved Soda Pop on your playlist, have you or have you not?” Jinu narrows his eyes, crawling from the sofa to the chair where you’re sitting.
You quickly turn your attention back to your phone and clicked the plus button.
“There! I have! Of course I have!”
“Traitor!”
“It’s not what it looks like!”
.
.
.
But it is, because the next time Jinu discovers your traitorous ways is when he catches you humming a ‘We're goin' up, up, up..’ in the living room sofa as you scroll that week’s stats.
“Traitor, stop humming that song now!”
Jinu’s tickling your sides mercilessly, making you scream.
“I can’t believe we have a traitor amongst our midst!” Your laughter is infectious because he’s also smiling now. However, what you did still annoyed him and so he will punish you for that.
You try to roll away and shove him but he quickly moves on top of you, holding you in a vice-like grip as he continues his assault on your sides. You and your little arms are no match for him.
“Jinu! Ahahaha! Sto-hahaha! Ji-ahahaha!”
Upon seeing tears running down your cheeks, Jinu finally decides to take pity on you and stop his tickling. The two of you are huffing now, trying to catch your breath. None of you are moving from your position.
“Asshole,” you huff, but your eyes are smiling. “You’re so annoying.”
Jinu leans down, “But you like me annoying.” he grins, savoring the way your cheeks glow scarlet and your eyebrows furrow at your inability to make a comeback.
When you’re no longer able to fight, you choose flight.
You break away from Jinu’s grasp to stand up but your leg gets tangled with his. “Crap!”
Jinu pulls you before your back hits the edge of the table and you crash, instead, on his sturdy chest. When you look up, Jinu is smirking down at you. He doesn’t say anything, yet he doesn’t let you go. It’s like there’s a magnetic pull between the two of you. The way Jinu looks at you intently has your breath hitching.
‘Is he going to..’
You know this is not right, but you can’t move when his grip on your body keeps tightening. You can practically smell his cologne now, his eyes never leaving you even when he angles his head and your lips part—
Abby and Baby burst through the door with pizza boxes and a big bag of energy drinks, unaware of what just went down in the living room sofa.
“What are you two doing?” Abby questions, eyeing the two of you in suspicion.
“It’s not what it looks like!”
Jinu narrows his eyes when you scramble away from his lap. Damn it. And he was so close.
Tumblr media
Lately I feel like I get jealous a lot. I even scare myself during those moments because I get so inexplicably angry when I see her with other men. I feel like I want to monopolize her.
“Abby, the shirt stays on!”
Jinu sighs quietly when the music comes to a screeching stop. Next to him, Mystery slumps to the ground. He doesn’t blame him; they’ve been trying to shoot a ‘dance practice’ video for over an hour now.
“Sorry, sorry. It’s a passive skill.” Abby grins sheepishly, walking over to you, who’s sitting crosslegged on the floor. “Are you sure, though? Surely the fans appreciate some.. service.” Abby squats down to your height and flexes proudly, the layer of sweat on his muscles glistening.
You look away, suddenly feeling flustered. “I swear..”
Jinu raises an eyebrow at this.
“Ha! I knew our manager also appreciates some of... this!”
His flexing only causes you to blush even more. Sure, you’ve also managed other boy groups before, but all of them are the cute, respectful type who calls you ‘noona’ and looks up to you with puppy-dog eyes.
The Saja Boys, though? They’re in a league of their own.
The ice cold water bottle to your burning cheek is a lifesaver. You turn to see Romance, looking at you unblinkingly.
His goofy face makes you laugh. “Thanks. Sure is hot in here.”
Before you can finish drinking, Jinu is already by your side, seizing your arm and dragging you with him.
“Whoa- wait!”
When the two of you is outside, Jinu stops. Truth be told, he also doesn’t know why he reacted like that.
“Jinu? What’s gotten into you?”
What has gotten into him, indeed? All he knows is when you look at someone else, his heart churns. When you get flustered and it’s not because of him, something dark writhes inside him.
The Saja Boys are his comrades, but if they get in his way, he’ll—
“Jinu! It hurts!”
Your yelp breaks his train of thoughts. He quickly lets go of your arm. “S-sorry.”
“What’s wrong? You’re scaring me!”
Jinu just stares at you, his jealousy growing even deeper when he remembers you smiling and laughing with the other members.
Someday, when you see his true colors, are you going to leave him?
“Jinu!”
Your grip on his shoulders is secure, anchoring him back down to reality. Jinu looks at you and smile. “I guess I feel left out when I see you getting along with everybody..”
“What? Jinu...”
“I know I’m a handful. You probably hate working with me, and—”
You pull him into a hug. Although you scold him a lot, you don’t want him to misunderstand your feelings: he’s a great guy and you like him. Sure, you think he’s an all-around cocky guy and that ego of his can be knocked down a notch, but... to think that someone like Jinu can also feel self-conscious...
“Don’t be so hard on yourself, Jinu. I can never hate you.”
Jinu smiles, slipping his arms around your waist to hug you back. Has he been approaching this with the wrong tactic? The gears in his brain are turning, thinking of ways to bind you to him.
All the while, his demon mark gleams silently.
Tumblr media
I think she likes me but she wants to take things slow because she’s still unsure of her feelings. The problem is, I’m not a patient man and I want to have her all to myself ASAP. I can’t risk her having second thoughts. What can I say? I love her so much, so it should be normal, right? So what do you think?

You met John Price in some shity bar where your friends dragged you to celebrate someone's birthday. John immediately noticed you and he sent you a few drinks. The whole time you had no idea who your secret admirer was. When John notices that your friends start to leave, he finally approaches you. He asks you if he could buy you another drink not mentioning that he was your source of alcohol the whole night. After some talking you know that you don't want the night to end. That's how you end up in his apartment, with slow music playing in the background sitting on John's lap and making out. Both of you know that this will end in his bed. John is making mental notes that he must ask you for your number in the morning. He doesn't want this to r just one time thing, he wants to invite you out, properly date you. What John doesn't expect is waking up alone in the morning. You left pretty early and only left a note on his kitchen table saying : thanks for the night xoxo
Now almost a year later John can't stop thinking about you. He comes to the conclusion that you were not from the town and you were just visiting. His friends make fun of him, for falling in love with a random girl who he slept with only once. Imagine his surprise when he finally sees you in town, in some cute bakery waiting in line for you sweet treat. It is just like in his fantasies, when he sees you and asks you for a date and you agree and eventually you spend your life together. What he does not expect is a chubby baby boy that you hold. He quickly does the math. His is 100% sure that the baby is his. He waits for you outside preparing his speech. When you walk out of the cafe pushing the pram you finally see him. The man from the bar you met a year ago. You don't have any time to process what is happening. In one moment John is walking to you and the next moment his is kneeling in front of you holding your hand talking about doing the right thing. He tells you that he knows this is not how you imagined this, but he is here now and he will help you raise your baby. He asks you to marry him, tells you he will give you a good life. You don't have to work just focus on raising his child.
When he finally lets you explain the situation you just laugh at him. You tell him that it is not his baby. And it is not even yours. You're just babysitting for your friend who asked for your help. You also remind him that you used protection when you slept together and he finally starts to think again. John joins you on your walk and he spends the whole day with you and the baby. He finally asks you for your number. Just before he goes to bed that day, he texts you and asks you out. You agree, but he has to promise, that he will not propose to you for at least a year. And no unprotected sex for him too. That will break his heart but anything for his darling. He will make sure you will have a nice ring on your finger before he makes you a mom. Don't worry he will make it the right way.

exactly exactly i was nodding through every tag of yours
we've seen in both his death scenes (the one yuji intervened and the one he was too late) that nanami couldn’t quite put why he came back to work as a sorcerer even tho it's pretty damn clear he wants to change things. both jobs suck because capitalism only works by ensuring the poor will turn poorest, but one of them doesn’t make him ashamed of himself. in only one of those two awful jobs he would be missed if he was gone. and he was gone, and he was missed. nanami couldn’t intervene against deadly threats like kenjaku and sukuna, but it was fine. it was yuji's turn after all.
there is a certain insanity that makes people decide to become sorcerers. having an innate technique isn't enough, they have to want to work in such a cruel field and more than that they need to not have anyone willing to do anything to stop them from doing so.
miwa and nobara are, from the younger cast, the only ones with mundane reasons. one wants to help her family, the other would rather die than staying on the same fucked up town. it's clear miwa has a great relationship with her family, and clear nobara hasn't.
which makes me think of nanami, the most normal sorcerer from the older cast. the only sorcerer of his family, putting his life and innocence in danger when he was still a student. if you have a family that will have your back (like nobara hasn't) you don't do that. if you have a good socioeconomical situation (like miwa hasn't) you don't do that. for me, it's clear nanami lacks both of them.
not only i think he used to live dangerously closer to the line of poverty during his youth, i also think someone with at least a bit of care or love for their own family would judge suguru for killing his parents. but nanami couldn't care.

Never Come to a Fansigning Aroused...(Incubus Saja Boys x Reader, NSFW)
Part 1:
Words: 5.4k
Tags: First person, gangbang, p in v, anal, blowjobs, no protection, multiple fucking creampies, reader is having her guts rearranged, dirty talk, degradation, brief instances of spanking, teratophilia, demons and incubus. Jinu is the meanest. Mystery is the neediest.
Summary: After coming to a fansigning aroused, you attract the attention of more than one demon…but rather all five of the Saja Boys.
A/N: I will be honest. I have never written a gangbang before. There might be an imbalance between the Saja Boys. Nonetheless, I hope ya'll still enjoy the fic! It is slightly proofread but not beta read.

With the note held in my hand, I frowned. What the heck did Jinu mean? I’m a delicacy that they want to eat up?
Before I could think anymore about it, hands wrapped around my waist. I gasped and dropped everything. My posters scattered everywhere in a papery whirlwind. I moved my head at the same time a chin rested against my shoulder, forcing me to press my lips against the cheek of the person who held me.
Not just any person.
It was Jinu.
Jinu’s hands held my waist, his thumbs pressing gently against the dips in my hips. I’m caught off guard.
“Ji-Jinu, what are you doing?” I gasped, my body…it’s tingling with the man’s very presence.
“You walked off before I could ask about something important.” Jinu’s nose pressed against my neck and I heard him take a deep breath in. I felt the twitch in his nose as he took the deepest inhale that I had ever heard. Was he smelling me?
“You have a very nice perfume on. What’s it called?”
My perfume was that important to creep up behind me and scare me?
I gulped and tried to think but Jinu was so damn close that I couldn’t. There was a growing fog in my brain, like there was something in the air. Some kind of drug that was making it hard to do anything.
“I…I can’t remember, Jinu. I’m sorry. I know it’s a strawberry pomegranate scent though, if that helps.”
Jinu tsked next to my ear and shook his head. “Actually…That’s not what I’m smelling right now.”
“What…Are you smelling?”
Jinu’s hand touched my stomach, and instinctively I straightened my back. The warmth of Jinu’s chest against my back makes me completely aware of how close Jinu is to me. Every part of him was somehow pressed against me. That’s including his crotch region. Did…He have a boner against my ass?
The hand on my stomach traveled down, slightly pushing my shirt up before traveling further. Along the way, I swear his fingertips grow longer and sharper.
A pathetic whimper escaped my throat. “What are you doing, Jinu?”
“Finding the source of the smell, my sweet.”
Jinu’s hand plunged into my shorts. I cried out as his fingers instantly dove into my panties next. The bulge in my shorts from his massive hand forces the button of my shorts to pop off, making my clothing much looser and slip down, especially as I squirm and struggle against his body. His hand slides through my slick folds, sharp nails pressing into me before pulling out.
“Jinu!”
I jerked, trying to pull out of the man’s arms before he finally took his hand out of my pants. I see his tongue pop out of his mouth out of the corner of my eyes, licking at fingers that looked more purple than skin-toned. Sharp yellow eyes snapped down to me, and I realized very quickly that Jinu didn’t look like Jinu anymore. Deep purple scars lined his face. I couldn't tell how far those scars went, but they dipped down his neck as well.
I felt both scared and turned on at the sight of this more demonic-looking form.
“Don’t worry, sweet one, I’m not the only one who looks like this,” he chuckled.
Jinu grabbed my cheeks with his wet fingers before turning my face to look to the side. With horror, I realize that the rest of the Saja Boys stand there with the same demonic get-up. How quickly had they changed before meeting me out here? How? It had been literal minutes.
In all their pants, there were bulges of various sizes. However, Abby’s stood out particularly the most for two reasons. 1). He was fucking massive. Probably a shower rather than a grower.  2). There was a wet stain directly over the massive bulge. Oh god, was that from when I sat on his lap earlier?! Oh fuck!
I squirmed but Jinu merely chuckled against my ear. His hold on me tightened. “You see what you do to us?” The hand on my hip drags me closer and I can feel his bulge press against my ass even more. “What you do to me? Now they’re going to watch as I fuck you, and then maybe if they behave, they can have a turn with you as well.”
I couldn’t stop him as Jinu grabbed my shorts, violently yanking them down with inhumane strength. But I could still protest.
“We’re still at the meet and greet, Jinu…!”
“Who cares?”
My panties were torn off next, thrown at the other Saja Boys. Baby caught them with a smirk before he held them to his nose and mouth.
“We could be caught!”
“Then we better give them a good show. I need everyone to see who owns you.” Jinu’s hand went to my throat, holding me up enough that I was on my tip toes now, barely able to hang onto the arm that held me. I could breathe, but barely.
He left my shirt on for some reason but my entire bottom half was exposed.
I couldn’t see it but I heard something unzip behind me. Then something large and warm prodded between my legs. Jinu made a few adjustments before warmth spread my cunt apart.
Gasping, I looked down and could see the tip of Jinu’s cock poking out from between my legs. It was massive and purple with the same scars, and when Jinu lowered my body I watched helplessly as my oozing lips straddled the shaft. Ginormous veins nearly the same size as my pinky finger and the flesh of his cock was a different sensation grinding against me and my clit
Erotic whimpers escaped my throat.
“You’re so wet that I don’t think you even need any lube. Besides, you can handle a little pain, can’t you?”
“Jinu, please, I…”
“Shut up, slut.”
Jinu grabbed my upper arms on both sides, dragging me back and forth so his shaft caressed all parts of my cunt. He took another deep inhale.
“That’s what I was smelling. Your fucking cunt as it bled for us. You know, I smell when most girls come to our fansignings aroused, but yours? You smell the best of them all. I could barely wait for you to make it down that line. I almost fucked you on that table you know?” He laughed, continuing to drag me back and forth until I felt a rising orgasm.
“Jinu, please…” I begged, my head becoming more murky. All I could think about was how good it would feel to have his cock deep inside me. How much I wanted to cum.
“There’s no begging allowed, slut. I’ll let you cum whenever I feel like you earned it,” he threatened.
Across the room, the other Saja boys were taking turns with that pair of underwear Jinu had graciously thrown at them. They were tugging at the lacey pair like they were a pack of hungry hyenas fighting over meat. Their pants were down and all were jerking it as they smelled and licked at the wet spots.
“Eyes forward, or on me, slut.” Jinu growled. My head snapped back forward.
Jinu pulled his cock back, making the tip brush against my clit.
Then he slams inside of me, bottoming out instantly.
I shriek, my hands balling out into fists beside me. I bowed my head, panting and trying to adjust to the new burning sensation that came with his thick cock being buried deep inside my pussy. Sweat beaded down my temple and my spine, and my cunt clenches around Jinu.
“That’s the fucking stuff…” Jinu moaned.
Pulling my arms back more until I was in a perfect arch, Jinu pulled out then slammed back inside of me, moving fast right off at the start.
His pace is brutal and unrelenting, like a man who was starved.
His pelvis slams against my ass, his cock reaching the very end each time, punishing my cervix. I can feel as our combined juices gather at my cunt, dripping down onto the floor. The smell would rise to my nostrils. The air around us was already filled with the smell of sex. Mostly me…Fuck, that was all me wasn’t it? I was wetter than I had thought.
Small moans escaped my throat. Jinu split my cunt open like no other man had done before.
I reached my orgasm and bit my lip, whining as I clenched around Jinu so hard that the man grunted. It must have been okay because he didn’t snap at me for cumming.
Jinu released one of my arms and instead grabbed at my shoulder. He grounded himself before slowly shoving his cock all the way inside me. He fills me with his seed with a grunt that sounded more like an animalistic growl.
“Don’t think about it.” Jinu snapped.
My heart jumps. I think he’s snapping at me first, until I looked at the other Saja Boys. Mystery had taken a step forward, his hand wrapped around his cock. Mystery looked to be the thickest of them all with his foreskin pulled back from the position of his hand.
Jinu pointed a clawed at him warningly. “One more step forward and I don’t let any of you fuck,” he threated.
Romance yanked Mystery back with one hand, his other wrapped around his thinner but still thick cock. I couldn’t tell if he had foreskin.
Jinu pulled out of me and I whined at the loss. My legs nearly give out from the rough fucking but Jinu catches me and holds me up with one strong arm. My head rests back against his upper chest, head close to his shoulder. He moves me so I face the Saja Boys. His fingers spread my cunt open, his long taloned middle finger pushing in and then out, allowing for a flow of his cum to drip out of me.
“Look how needy you made them, sweetheart. Should I hold you up while they take turns fucking you?”
“I…” I’m at a loss for words.
I watched between my legs helplessly and then looked back up at the others. Romance seemed the most calm and collected which said a lot since he had a tight jaw and a focused furrow in his brow as he jerked himself off.
Baby was hogging my panties and had them wrapped around his cock, jerking himself off directly over the former wet spot. Now those panties were completely soaked, showing off how much they had all used them. He had another lollipop in his mouth, and his eyes were focused not on me…but my cunt.
Mystery was practically frothing at the mouth like a rabid animal. I could tell that he was the one that was holding himself back the most. His cock jerked needily and he wasn’t even touching it. That thing would destroy me.
Abby was furiously stroking himself off, hand rubbing at his head and then back down to the base. He didn’t have any foreskin so I could see his bare head, poor and swollen with precome at the slit. Cum was already spread across his abs, showing that he had jerked himself into an orgasm without even touching me.
I gulped.
I didn’t realize that my death would involve having sex with a group of pop idols. My cunt pulsed around Jinu’s fingers as he plugged his cum inside.
“Fuck…She just clenched around my fingers. She loves the thought of being destroyed by us.I guess dinner is served~” Jinu cooed at the Saja Boys.
They all exchanged glances like they were double checking their permissions.
Mystery was the first to approach. Well, it was more of a sprint. He grabbed at my legs, lifting them off the ground before wrapping them around his narrow waist. Jinu wrapped both arms around me and lifted me, helping Mystery hold me up and suspend me in the air.
I whined as I felt Mystery’s hot cock against my abdomen before he adjusted himself. He holds the base of the monster before pressing the tip against my entrance.
As he pressed inside me, I hissed. Jinu hadn’t even been big enough to fully prepare my poor hole for the stretch of my cunt as Mystery shoved himself inside me. I came the moment he was half inside, nearly squirting over the two men holding me.
Jinu chuckled next to my ear. “That’s a beautiful sight. I can see right where he’s inside you.” His talons are unusually delicate as he tickled over the slight bulge in my stomach, moving in circular motions. The sensation causes my post-oragasmic body to clench and jerk against the cock inside me. The extra lube from my cum causes Mystery to slip the rest of the way up, pushing Jinu’s fingers up a little higher.
Jinu scoffed. He spoke directly to Mystery with a dark tone, “I shouldn’t even be letting you go first, considering the stunt you pulled earlier.”
“Sorry,” Mystery replied in a monotonous, uncaring tone.
“Are you really?”
“No. I need to fuck her cunt before I go crazy.”
“Have at it, but don’t break her before the others get a turn.”
Don’t I get a say in this?
Mystery shifts his whole body, his hairy happy trail meeting my cunt with each thrust. He barely gave me time before he began to pound inside me, his happy trail slapping against me now.
Jinu chuckled. With every thrust from Mystery, my back was slamming against the man behind me. I could feel his still hard cock each time.
“Nnnh…Mphm…” I whined, head thrown back against Jinu’s shoulder.
Mystery gets in my face, his body slightly bending over mine. Romance, Abby, and Baby are all standing behind him. Their yellow eyes glow with hunger.
Romance and Baby move on either side of me. They grab on both sides of my shirt, tearing it open. Their hands roam all over my body, kneading, pinching, and pulling on my breasts and my stomach. Baby is the first to lean down and wrap his mouth around my nipple, his eyes staring straight up at me.
“She’s even more beautiful covered in sweat,” Romance sighed dreamily. He fondles my breast and pulls my nipple.
“That she is…”
Jinu turned my face toward him. He doesn’t just kiss me, he consumes my mouth. His tongue is much longer than earlier and slides down my throat, almost making me gag.
“I can’t wait to taste that cunt,” Abby groaned from over my right shoulder, having moved there at some point. Things were happening so fast, that you could barely keep up with anything.
“Trust me, it tastes fucking amazing.” Jinu groaned as he pulled away from my mouth, spit connecting us.
Plap, plap, plap.
Mystery’s thrusts become more sloppy and uncoordinated. He digs his sharp nails into my thighs, his body arching more, his hips angling to thrust deeper inside me. His balls slam against my ass, wet droplets of my slick and Jinu’s cum splattering everywhere. When he pulls back, I can catch a glimpse of his face as he was angled above me. Fuck, I knew it would be beautiful.
Romance moves his face to mine, his lips pressing to mine before he shoves his tongue inside my mouth, exploring me. I let my tongue run along his, spit getting everywhere. His mouth suctions against mine, slurping up my spit before he pulls away. He lets his slender fingers travel down my nape to my clit, stroking it up and down as Mystery destroys my fucking cunt. The slick gets all over Romance’s fingers with each slam forward from Mystery.
The thrusting lasts a few more seconds before Mystery finally growls. He shoves everyone else out of the way (except for Jinu, who was still helping him keep me up). Romance is removed from my cunt and Baby from my breast. The wetness against my nipple cools, making the flesh harden.
Mystery shoves his cock all the way inside me, cum exploding from his cock against my sensitive walls.
At the same time, I cum, my knees shaking. A burst of cum shoots out of my pussy, getting all over Mystery’s lower abdomen and mine. I also feel it cascading down my ass.
“Please…! Mercy!” I sobbed as I pleaded.
Jinu scoffed. “What did I say about begging, slut? Shut your fucking mouth.”
“You’re far too rough, Jinu dear.” Romance scoffed.
The male with the pink hair shoves Jinu by his arm, bravely pushing his leader out of the way. My body shifts before Romance takes over holding me. He holds me differently from Jinu, softly. Like I was a delicate flower that would wilt without love and care. He presses his lips against my neck, then to my cheek.
“I would still love to have you as my model…Especially after little sessions like this,” he cooed to me.
One of his hands disappeared under me. I tense when I feel a cock rub against my asshole. Romance shoves the leaking cum from my cunt down down before sliding deep into my asshole.
“AHH!!” I screamed, throwing my head back.
Romance shushes me. “Shhh, it’ll be uncomfortable, but the more you relax it’ll feel better. Just relax your body, okay love?” He whispered calmly against my ear. He was a more gentle presence next to my ear than Jinu had been.
“I want to go again.” Mystery mumbled, hands tightening on my hips. I could tell that he was eager to continue but was waiting for Romance.
Abby groaned. “Seriously? But you just went!” he complained.
“Let the man get it out of his system,” Jinu responded. “You know what kind of dog Mystery becomes when he doesn’t cum as much as he needs to.”
Abby groaned. “Fine.”
My mind spun. How many rounds would each man last?
Mystery didn’t have to wait much longer for his bandmate to bottom out. Romance closed the last inch of his cock inside my ass with a single hard thrust, his pelvis flush against my ass. My fingers and toes curl.
Mystery grunted and began to trust again. Romance joined him, the two silently finding a rhythm. When Romance pulled out, Mystery thrust forward. Then Romance would thrust in and Mystery pulled out.
Drool slips out of the side of my mouth as the males use me for a while longer. Abby leans down and licks it right up. His tongue brushes against my teeth and lips.
“I wonder what it’s like to have her sucking on our cocks.” Baby leans his cheek against my chest. He takes his drenched piece of candy and draws on my flesh with it, then licks the flavorful spit trail up.
Mystery lasts for only a while longer. His sloppy thrusts become the telltale sign of being close to cumming again. Sure enough, he slams inside and cums another large load that is barely able to fit inside my already stuffed cunt.
Romance paused for a moment, balls deep inside me but he was nowhere close to finishing himself. Panting, Mystery pressed his palm on my stomach before he pulled out, my knees shaking as he did so. If it wasn’t for Romance holding me, I would have fallen to the ground.
Abby took Mystery’s place a second later. The tall and buff male smirked down at me. He ran a clawed finger up my inner thigh before hooking into my cunt. Mystery’s and Jinu’s cum oozed onto the finger. He admired it.
“Now it’s my turn. I hope he stretched that fucking cunt.” Abby snarled and pumped his cock. My eyes widened at the sight of the massive cock with veins that pulsed. At this point, I was getting it mixed up on who was larger than who.
Abby pressed inside me and his cum coated pelvis met mine in an instant. There was a lewd squelch as he sheathed inside me.
At this point, I couldn’t feel my cunt. I couldn’t feel anything as Abby bulged me worse than Jinu and Mystery did.
“Oh sweet thing, you take us both so well,” Romance chuckled.
“I’ve never had a cunt stretch like this without breaking.” Abby smirked.
Romance kissed my cheek in a failed attempt to comfort me. Abby and Romance met eye contact. They smirked before they adjusted me between them, pressing closer together until I’m pretty much folded in half between them. My head is on Romance’s shoulder and my ankles up on Abby’s shoulders.
“Fuck, you’re swallowing me, baby girl.Your cunt’s so hungry for me.” Abby smirked and started the pace. Romance and Abby aren’t as in sync as Romance and Mystery were, but they eventually find a flow that makes me see stars, another orgasm being coaxed out of me.
Abby and Romance pressed their faces into my neck. They lick, suck, and bite the flesh until my neck was covered with so many hickies that it was just pure dark purple. Abby licks a stripe up the center of my neck before kissing me on the lips. His tongue plunges into my mouth, Romance and Abby slamming in and out of me mercilessly.
I could barely keep my eyes open. At some point, I think I had passed out and woke up when Romance shoved his thumb into my mouth.
“Hnng…!” Romance grunted and hilted all the way inside my asshole, releasing his seed in long quick spurts. He digs his teeth into my neck, holding me to the spot as he thrusted upward. Once he was fully inside my body, he stopped and rested inside me, plugging all his cum inside my ass.
Abby continued his thrusting, his hands stroking up and down my legs in a soft, caressing manner. He smirked down at me.
“Mmmm, babe, you look so sexy in my arms. You think that you can fit more of my cum inside you? You already have so many loads inside you.” His eyes flicker down to my cunt. “I’m getting it all over myself babe…Might have to press your face against my cock and let you lick it all off me.”
Romance nuzzled his face next to my ear. He bit behind my ear and chortled softly. “He will make you do it too, baby girl, so don’t tempt him.” He rocked his hips but wasn’t fully thrusting inside me anymore. Abby was doing all the work now.
“Th-Thank you, Romance. Thank you, Abby.” I whined. I couldn’t think of anything else to say. Words stopped functioning inside my brain.
Abby chuckled. Some beads of sweat dripped down the tip of his nose, falling onto my body. He grunted and thrusted inside me, his hips shakily pounding inside me. There was a messy overflow of cum that rushed from my body when Abby came, his load lasting longer than Mystery’s, which meant that there was a lot of it.
The male smirked and pulled half way out, watching the way the cum could barely fit inside with an entertained expression.
“See? What did I tell you? Getting all that cum all over my abs.” Abby pressed my hand against his body, forcing my fingers to spread the sticky cum, drenching his happy trail.
Both Romance and Abby pull out, leaving me breathless. Abby holds my cheek against his chest, holding me up while my legs wobble and nearly give out again.
Romance grinned and bent over, looking as his cum and his bandmate’s cum leaked out of my body, having nowhere else to go while my womb was already so stuffed full of them all. Well, almost. Baby still had yet to be inside me.
A hand came down on my ass.
“Hnng!” I whined and turned my face so my cheek was still pressed against Abby but I could see what was going on behind me. Every other Saja Boy was behind me, sneering. I couldn’t tell who had spanked me, but I had a feeling that Jinu was the perpetrator since his smirk was more devilish.
Abby moved me and laid me out on the cold floor of the stage, finally letting me rest. My heels are pressed into the floor and my legs spread.
I closed my eyes, thinking I would have a moment to breathe. I just felt my own body for a moment. The sting in my vagina and in my asshole was noteworthy, and the cum leaking out of me was neverending.
A body climbed over me, and my eyes shot open.
Romance was on top of me. Pink hair flowed down his face and got in mine. He stroked my cheek and tucked hair behind my ear as he stroked my inner thigh straight up to my core. “We’re not quite done with you, beautiful sweet thing.” He chuckled, his pelvis slamming into mine as he thrusted into my cunt. He filled me within seconds.
I whimpered, unable to fully moan. My throat felt too shredded and ached from screaming.
Romance pushed my legs up by my knees, stroking the sensitive part that was on the underside of my knee. Someone grabs my ankles, and when I look up it's a smug Abby, his cock close to my face.
How many times were they going to use me…?
Baby kneels next to me, his fingers pressing against my lips. He opens my willing mouth and shoves a piece of sour candy into my mouth. I cringe, closing my eyes at the flavor. Almost immediately, a cock is shoved into my mouth. It’s stubby compared to the other males but still larger than any other regular man, still reaching the back of my throat with hardly any effort.
When my eyes opened, it had been Baby who had done the deed. He had pulled my head to the side, holding onto my hair as he thrusts in and out, spreading the taste of salt and sour back and forth over my tongue. I struggled to not swallow and choke on the candy as he used my mouth.
I clawed at the ground as Romance pounded into my cunt and Baby slid in and out of my mouth. My hands are grabbed and cocks fill them. Abby and Mystery forced me to cup them as they thrusted, using my fingers as their own personal cocksleeve. Abby now held my ankles with one hand. All of my holes, except my asshole, were being used. If only Jinu had laid down first before Romance had pounced on me…
Fuck, I’m such a fucking whore.
Romance doesn’t last long before he cums again. He barely has time to lean down and kiss me before Jinu pulls him away by his hips.
“Hey!” Romance snarled.
“If you step in the way of me being inside of her, I will rip your fucking head off,” Jinu snarled back at the male, pointing a clawed finger at the man.
This made the other Saja Boys back off from me. My legs fell back down on the ground, shaking.
Baby pouted. “I still haven’t been inside her. When is it going to be my turn?”
“You can have her after me. Just shut up right now.”
Jinu grabbed my hips. I am weak as he pulls me to my hands and knees. I’m barely able to hold myself up even with my hands bracing on the ground. Jinu pulled my ass into the air and slammed into my sopping cunt.
“You’re stretched out, my little slut.” Jinu smirked and shoved his thumb into my asshole, using it as leverage for his brutal thrusts. He pulls me back and forth against his cock, forcing the entirety of it inside before pulling out.
My flushed cheek feels amazing against the cool ground but it doesn’t last long. Baby grabbed my face and yanked me off the floor. He shoved his cock back into my mouth. Jinu and Baby spit roasted me right there. I propped myself on Baby’s thighs, holding them as he thrusted back and forth, his cock hitting the back of my throat. I tasted the leftover sour candy on his cock.
Mystery came closer, kneeling next to Baby. He stroked his cock back and forth, pushing his foreskin back and forth. Baby paused briefly and smirked down at me as Mystery brought the tip of his cock toward my mouth, shoving it inside as well.
“Look at that…she can take two cocks in her mouth at once.” Jinu laughs. He brings a hand down against my ass again. “That’s something special.”
“I’m just glad it’s my cock,” Mystery mumbled.
I gag. I drool. When Jinu thrusted forward, it forced me to take the two cocks further. Tears welled at the overwhelming sensations that came from every direction, especially when Jinu added fingers to my clit, swiping it back and forth.
How was it that the more they all fucked me, that they got more energized?
Romance and Abby took my hands and placed it on their cocks. They pull my hands back and forth on them. My arms are weak but eventually I got the message and stroked them myself. Now. I was somehow pleasuring each of the Saja Boys at the same time.
Nothing was going to be normal after this.
I would never be the same after having the Saja Boys in all my holes.
My holes would always be wrecked for anyone else.
Cum comes from everywhere. It floods my mouth, it gets on my back and my hair, and Jinu fills me up again.
This time, no one catches me when I collapse to the ground as the three men pull away.
I whined when Abby dragged me closer to him, pulling me into his lap. “Don’t worry babe…I have at least one more load in me for you…” He stroked my cunt, flicking it until I was almost convulsing in his lap.
“Hey!” Baby snapped at the man, who paused his ministrations on my clit. “I still haven’t been inside her cunt once. If you’re going to use her, you better use your ass, because I need a fucking turn.” The male growled.
“That’s fine with me,” Abby compromised calmly.
Abby pushes into my asshole, spreading my legs open for Baby, who positioned himself between my legs before thrusting inside me. Baby moaned and pressed his lips against mine, happily thrusting and using me alongside Abby. I was mush but I did my best to kiss Baby back, my tongue swirling with his, tasting all the candy he had eaten that night.
My hands are filled, each Saja Boy taking turns having their cocks on or in me. It’s all a messy blur as they switch out. One cock is in my hand before suddenly it’s another. I couldn’t keep up.
Abby cums before Baby and pulled out. Baby grabbed at me and flipped me so I straddled Abby’s abs. Baby thrusts back inside me but inside my ass this time. As he thrust forward, he forced my cummy cunt to spread against Abby’s abs, making a bigger mess and spreading it all over himself.
“Fuck babe.” Abby rested both arms cockily behind him as he watched me with glee.
Cum hits my back. It gets everywhere all over me, covering me in a thin sheet of sexual fluids. It fills my mouth, forever changing my tastebuds.
When my eyes lock forward, I see Jinu standing next to Romance. Both their cocks are half hard. The males were smirking, nowhere close to being done with me. “Maybe we should take her home and keep her.” Jinu crossed his arms. “She can be our constant supply of sex and powers.”
“I agree.” Romance held his chin.
My eyes were torn away from them when Mystery shoved himself into my mouth again, holding the back of my head as he thrusted in and out of me. I close my eyes and suck on his cock. I don’t have any other choice.
I don’t know when I pass out. But when I wake up, plugs are in my holes but otherwise I’m clean and no longer covered in fluids.
I’m also somewhere else entirely. An arm is draped across my chest, and when I look - The Saja Boys are all in one bed, asleep next to me.

a/n: I love Halsey's Finally//Beautiful Stranger & when it came on my shuffle while driving, this fic played out in my mind.
Tumblr media
Humming quietly to yourself to keep your thoughts occupied, you allow the glow of the moon and fireflies to guide you back to the village. Dawn Court was your home, but after the fall of Spring, you had volunteered to help its fae, creatures, and land heal from the devastation left by Hybern’s attacks.
Though the damage to Spring was immense, its beauty still endured. The air still held a lingering heaviness but the flowers had begun to bloom once more with promise and hope of a better future. Your task today had been to gather healing herbs, yet when you stumbled upon a field of dandelions in full bloom, you couldn’t resist the urge to stop and admire the scenery. It was why you were returning late at night, long past the sunset you had promised to return by.
As you made your way along the path, the gentle breeze grew colder and sharper. It rustled the leaves on the trees and made the branches creak, its eerie sound halting your steps and silencing your humming. A chill of unease prickled your skin and your muscles tensed in alarm.
Then you saw them.
Shadows, darker than the night itself, swirling around you.
These were not the shadows you were used to seeing at night. No, these shadows felt alive and with purpose.
You should’ve turned back. But there was something in the way they moved, fluid and insistent, that made you follow. With every step, they guided you away from the familiar moonlit path and deeper into the forest, pulling you toward the river that ran through the heart of the woods.
A flicker of blue light was coming from just beyond the tree line, catching your eye. Curiosity tugged at you, drawing you closer. The shadows slithered toward the faint glow, vanishing into the darkness by the water’s edge.
When you finally reached the riverbank, your breath hitched at the sight before you.
A male lay sprawled on the shore, half-submerged in the water, his blood mingling with the river’s water. Blinking your eyes, you saw the shadows that led you to him, clinging to his battered form and limp wings. They pulsed in a protective manner. It’s then that you recognized the source of the blue light. It was coming from the gems attached to the leathers he wore.
Siphons. He must be Illyrian…but what was an Illyrian from the Night Court doing in Spring? Alone?
It didn’t matter. You immediately rushed and knelt beside him, your healer’s instincts snapping into action. Your finger’s pressed against his neck, mind racing with worry and dread as his skin felt cold against yours. He must’ve been out for awhile now. The nerves eased slightly when you felt a pulse.
Weak but present.
You slipped your arms beneath him, the shadows aiding you as they wrapped around his arms, helping you turn him over to his side. His dark hair clung to his face, your hand reaching up to brush it back.
Your eyes finally met the face of the fallen warrior and something snapped.
So piercing and electrifying, it had your heart fluttering from the intensity. All at once, the golden threads of the bond you’d only heard stories about unraveled in your chest. They weaved between your rib cage, pulling you tight toward him. A pull so strong it left you breathless and in shock.
Fate and shadows had brought him to you. Your mate.
But the exhilaration of it all was soon smothered by panic, the golden threads beginning to quiver. His blood, too much of it, stained the riverbank. His body was limp in your arms, his breathing shallow.
You had found your mate and already, you were on the verge of losing him before you could even learn his name.
**
Azriel wakes to the sound of singing, a nice and sweet sound, and he catches faintly to the words. He’s never felt so warm, so relaxed. His senses are dulled by grogginess, his body sluggish, but something feels… different. Lighter, somehow.
Beside him, his shadows stir, the familiar weight of their presence grounding him. But there's also something else— different from the cool and light caresses of his shadows. Firmer. Warmer. The pressure is foreign but comforting.
As his senses slowly return, the scent of herbs and incense reach him before his eyes flutter open. Where am I? He thinks, finally blinking his eyes to clear his vision.
The first thing he sees is you, the source of the beautiful singing.
Light streams into the room, casting a golden halo around you. It strikes him hard, stealing his breath and sending a shock through his chest. He doesn’t know who you are, what you are. But you’re beautiful, so beautiful that his brows furrow in bewildered awe. There’s no way, he thinks. I don’t belong here…
He wills his dry lips to part, his voice is rough and barely audible. “Am I…dead?”
Your eyes widen and your singing comes to a sudden stop, startled by his sudden words. The warmth he felt vanishes as you pull your hand back, and only then does he realize it had been your touch on his face earlier. Your hand hovers between you, glowing faintly with a bronze light, like the first rays of dawn, before you settle it into your lap.
“No,” you finally answer. “You’re not dead.”
Azriel tears his gaze from your face, even though some part of him protests. His eyes wander around the small room, taking in the sparse furniture, the wooden desk cluttered with jars and vials. The sunlight continues to stream through the single window, the curtain hanging doing little to dull the brightness thanks to the Spring breeze. It blinds him when it catches his eyes and he winces, looking away.
His attention is inevitably drawn back to you. You’re seated beside him, perched on a small stool that does not look comfortable by the bed. His shadows, the loyal dark tendrils that always remain by his side, are dancing around you. Their movement is playful, loving almost and you don’t seem bothered by it. As if they’ve done this before.
The sight stirs an unfamiliar flutter in his chest.
The flutter is cut short when one of his wings, too big for the bed he’s in, twitches and knocks into the bedside table. A vial tumbles to the floor, the sound of shattering glass jerking his body forward, and in an instant, the memories come rushing back.
He remembers the mission. Rhysand had sent him to the wall separating the mortal lands from Prythian. He had met with Jurian, the encounter brief, and then he was on his way back—flying over the Spring Court when he was ambushed. His mind aches as he tries to remember more but all he remembers is being struck by poisoned arrows and falling through trees. Multiple trees.
Hot, searing pain stabs through him at the sudden movement and your hands fly to his bandaged chest, gently urging him to sit back. “You’re safe,” you reassure him. “It’s okay. You’re okay.”
Azriel shouldn’t feel comforted by your words, not when he barely knows you. However, he finds your voice soothing. He listens, allowing himself to slowly lean back against the pillows, despite his mind screaming at him that you’re a stranger. Your hands remain on his chest, glowing again with that soft bronze light, and the sharp pain in his body begins to ebb away, fading into a dull ache. Much more bearable.
His shadows return to him, sighing with relief as they nestle close. Azriel watches you, keen hazel eyes taking in more of your features. The curve of your lips, the softness of your eyes. They draw him in, and he finds himself unable to look away. Had it not been for the pain that shot through him moments ago, he would’ve thought you lied to him about not being dead. Because surely you weren’t from this world to have him in a daze like this…
“Who are you?”
“I’m…,” you hesitate, uncertainty crossing your features. He watches with bated breath, waiting but the words seem to catch in your throat. You swallow, clearing your throat before speaking again. “I’m just a healer.”
“And here I thought you were an angel from above.”
A quiet laugh escapes you, and the tension in your posture melts away. The corner of your lips tug up into a faint smile, one that Azriel surprisingly finds himself mirroring. “Sorry to disappoint.”
He doesn’t think. The words spill from him before he can stop them. “I didn’t say I was disappointed.”
The flush that dawns across your cheeks doesn’t go unnoticed. You turn your head, trying to hide the reaction. It’s too late. Azriel already saw it and even if he hadn’t, his shadows are happily gushing over it. Some, the ones not distracted by your beauty, curled around his ear and whispered about the emotion lingering on your face, in your eyes.
There was more you meant to say. Words left unsaid and he wants to know, the curiosity and yearning bordering on desperate. His gaze assesses you again, searching for an answer. For a hint. His shadows continue to whisper. Good, they say reassuringly, sensing no danger or malintent in you. We found her for you!
She saved master's life. Master was out for three days and she stayed by master’s side. She’s–
“What’s your name?” You ask, pulling him from the silent conversation with his shadows.
Azriel is not one to give his name so easily, often going by what he was–a Shadowsinger– rather than who he was. He’s also not one to dwell in places he’s unfamiliar with longer than necessary. But you saved his life and for some strange reason, his shadows had taken an immediate liking to you. They seem to trust you and therefore, so does he.
“Azriel.”
“Azriel,” you repeat and his shadows shudder in response, as though they, too, are captivated by the sound of it on your lips. His stomach flutters in time with their movement.
“What about yours?”
“Y/n.”
“Y/n,” he says, repeating your name the same way you had his. His shadows dance in the air around you both.
**
It’s late morning, as you pick up the empty plate from him, that he feels the familiar sensation of talons scraping against his mind. Azriel?? Rhysand’s voice is urgent, the frantic panic of it making him wince. Your head immediately turns in concern and Azriel brushes it off with a small shake of his head.
I’m alive. Azriel responds, his answer curt as he’s once again distracted by your presence.
Thank The Mother, Rhysand breathes a sigh of relief. Where are you? Are you somewhere safe? Do you need me to–
I’m fine. I was attacked while flying through Spring.
Who? Rhysand demands.
Given the fact that whoever ambushed me has made no move to find me and finish the job, I’d say no one of importance. Azriel replies, lips curving into a small frown at the thought of being caught off guard and attacked. It rarely happened, his shadows always keeping him one step ahead of anyone and anything. Had they been distracted…?
He turns his head, searching for the shadows in question. Some remained with him, choosing to burrow under the blankets. The others, however, were hovering at your side and helping you clean up from breakfast. One even opens the door for you and he hears you murmur a small thanks as you leave the room.
Azriel had spent most of the afternoon sleeping. He didn’t want to, not liking the idea of being in such a vulnerable state with someone he barely knew. It’s not that he suspected you’d harm him or had bad intentions–you literally saved his life for Cauldron’s sake! It was just a feeling he was not used to. To be able to sleep safe and sound.
When he woke up again, it was a brand new day. He realized the bandages on his chest and arm had been changed. He was slowly gathering his strength back. One of his shadows must’ve given him away because shortly after he woke, you had walked in with a friend.
“Wow,” the dark haired fae murmured, her steps faltering. Her eyes had widened in wonder, taking in the large expanse of his wings that made the bed look ridiculously small. “The Cauldron truly favors you.”
Azriel’s gaze couldn’t help but narrow. Those words had been directed at you, not him.
You’d introduced her as Poppy, explaining she was your friend, another healer whose family had taken you in. Poppy had left shortly after setting a steaming bowl of stew on the table right next to the bed. She had been adamant on letting him know her mother had made it and not you, which he found odd.
Azriel was surprised to learn this was your room and you’d given it up for him. He tried to protest, offering to sleep on the couch or floor. Of course, you had refused and he was even more surprised to learn you were more stubborn than he was.
Where are you in Spring? Rhysand’s presence in his mind pulls him back to the present. He hopes he hadn’t accidentally projected his memory to his friend, wanting to keep it to himself for now. I can send Cassian, if you’re unable to fly.
No. Azriel responds immediately and he can feel Rhysand’s confusion. I’m alive and safe. I just need more time to recover.
And without waiting for a response, Azriel brings up his mental shields again, shutting Rhysand out. He can only hope he doesn’t send Feyre knocking on his mind next. Or worse, actually send Cassian to Spring, despite him saying not to.
He should’ve said yes, and accepted the help. The Spring Court was among the least favorite of his courts, in tie with the Autumn Court. He had a strong distaste for the High Lord, who remained wandering through his forests like a beast.
As you return to the room, Azriel catches sight of a faint glow wrapped around your wrist. He hadn’t seen it before, the glow of your magic outshining the gold ink etched there. A sun, cradled by a crescent moon, and below the moon, a fine lined star glimmers, connecting the two celestial bodies with its ray of starshine.
“You’re far from home.” Azriel comments, nodding toward the tattoo.
“So are you,” you answer, lips turning up at the slight flush that takes over Azriel. You then glance down at the tattoo on your wrist. The insignia of your Court with the added touch of your healing gift. The tattoo was an honor, a testimony of the oath you had taken after mastering your magic. “I came to Spring to help after the war.”
“Will you go back home after?” He asks, a little too quickly, then clears his throat. His shadows snicker beside him in a knowing manner. “Or will you stay here?”
“I’ll stay here as long as I’m needed.”
He doesn’t understand why but a part of him feels relieved that you’re not attached to this court.
“You’re welcome to stay here as long as you need,” you then add.
He feels an odd sense of relief, and his shadows give a little wiggle in excitement. He sends them a glare, and they sheepishly return to hiding under the covers. Though one brave shadow lingers by his side long enough to whisper, you'll find out soon Master.
“They’re cute," your voice pulls him from questioning his teasing shadow.
Azriel lets out a snort, the effort making his chest and stomach ache. Cute. His shadows had been called many things—strange, unnerving, even unsettling—but never cute. They typically clung to him, weaving around his form quietly, careful not to disturb anyone. Unless he sent them on a mission of their own or they had a mission of their own.
Occasionally, they’d make an exception for Cassian, creeping up behind him just to tap his shoulder and bask in his exasperation when he turned to find nothing there. They’d even tried their luck with Rhysand once, though he was never fooled. Yet, for reasons Azriel couldn’t fathom, his shadows had taken an immediate liking to you, drifting toward you whenever they could.
The said shadows peek out from under the covers, almost shyly. If they could blush, he’s sure they would be at this moment. They're never going to forget this moment.
“I wouldn’t call them cute,” Azriel replies, ignoring their indignant hisses.
Conversation flows easily between you two from there, Azriel giving into his curiosity to know and learn more about you. Much to his surprise, Azriel indulged you in your questions, telling you about his shadows and things about himself he rarely told others. They were small, trivial things such as his exact favorite shade of blue and his biggest pet peeve. Yet you held onto every word, every detail and it felt strangely comforting.
Two more days passed, Azriel’s body still healing. Slowly but surely. You had been able to recover one of the arrows that had shot him. Not that it mattered. Azriel was now, unfortunately, familiar with the effects of faebane. It hindered his healing and though it was frustrating, there was one upside to it all–the friendship blossoming between you and Azriel.
There’s a knock on the door as you mix Azriel’s concoction for pain. “Yes?” You call out.
Poppy peeks her head in. “I was just checking to see if I had given you enough spearmint for the pain tonic and also to let you know that we’ll be out most of the day. If you wanted to take out your ma—male for a walk or something without being bothered by the little ones.”
You freeze and a sheepish look takes over your features, tainting your cheeks. “Poppy,” you say her name again in what sounds like a warning. “He has a name, you know. And he doesn’t need to be taken on a walk.”
“Oh, right, Azriel,” she says, giving him a cheery wave. “Hello again!”
“Hello,” Azriel replies, shifting in the bed, despite the protests of his muscles. He’s not at all offended by Poppy, her aura too bright and cheery to be bothered. He flashes you a grin that has your grasp on the mixer faltering. “I think a walk would be nice actually.”
“Told you!” Poppy replies. “Anyway, we’ll see you for dinner. Send a butterfly if you need me.”
When the door closes, you let out a small sigh, shaking your head with a small, sheepish smile. “I’m so sorry about her.”
Azriel brushes off your concern, his eyes shining bright when he looks back at you. “How about that walk?”
**
Azriel grunts as he pushes to stand, his wings trembling as he shifts his weight, unused to bearing himself after days of bedrest. He stumbles right into your arms, his usually steady form swaying. You quickly catch him, your arms coming around one of his sides. His shadows dart toward his other side, helping you hold him upright.
“I’ve got you,” you say softly, your hold surprisingly firm.
He can't help it. He lets out a low, amused breath.
“What?” You ask.
“Usually, I’m the one saying that.”
Your lips quirk into a smile, a gleam in your eye, as you help him find his balance. “Well, even the best need someone to lean on sometimes, right?”
Azriel stares at you. Something in his chest tightens–a weird but comforting sensation. It’s similar, if not the same, to what he had felt when he first saw you. Warm and painfully sweet. The feeling reassures him that, though you were strangers mere days ago, you’re someone he can lean on.
“Come on,” you murmur, nodding toward the door.
Azriel lets you guide him through the house and out onto the porch. You settle there together, cutting the walk very short. You're mindful not to push him too far when he's still recovering. Azriel doesn't mind, the fresh air enough for him. He knows he isn’t at full strength to protect you should anything arise. Even though you most likely know these forests better than himself.
His hands drift to the porch railing as he leans forward for support, fingers curling around the edge. The sunlight glances off his scarred hands, each ridge and mark stark against his skin. He’d kept them hidden beneath the covers and out of your view while bedridden, hiding them instinctively, unable to forget the pitying glances they’d drawn in the past. Though he’s sure you must've seen them when you rescued him.
Now, as he feels your gaze slide toward them, a familiar discomfort tugs at him. He starts to withdraw his hands, wanting to tuck them closer to himself.
But you reach out. Your hand hovers, brushing slightly over his. There’s a slight hesitation—an uncertainty in whether to bridge the space or leave it. In the end, you let your hand rest gently beside his.
Azriel hesitates, unused to this vulnerability, yet unable to move away. He glances up to meet your eyes and his guarded expression softens slightly. “They’re… not easy to look at,” he murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper. “I know they’re not.”
“I’m familiar with scars, you know. They don’t make you less of who you are.”
Azriel’s jaw tightens, his gaze dropping where your hands are barely brushing against one another. His throat feels tight, an ache he’s kept buried resurfacing.
“Not to me,” you continue. “I don’t see you any differently because of them.”
He searches your face and he sees something in your eyes that helps him slowly relax. His gaze returns to your hand, fingers hovering now over his. This time, there’s no hesitation as you gently lay your hand over his, holding it as if the scars didn’t exist at all.
It’s such a simple gesture, yet it speaks volumes.
His shadows slither down his arm and toward where your hands connect. For the first time, Azriel feels no urge to hide, no shame from the past that has long haunted him.
A silence drifts down between the two of you, settling like a blanket over the conversation. There’s no need to fill it, no awkwardness there. Just a gentle, shared peace, stretching softly around you both. He turns his head, shifting his gaze forward and takes a deep breath.
He closes his eyes and a breeze rolls in, brushing against his skin and stirring his hair. His shadows begin to whisper excitedly. He basks in the sun’s warmth, and lets the scent of spring fill his senses from the fresh earth to the blooming flowers and the faint sweetness of pollen. It brings forth a tickle in his nose, and before he can stop it, he sneezes. His body groans in response, wings shuddering.
“Bless you,” you say, but he notices the way your mouth quirks as if you’re holding back a laugh.
“What?” he asks, brows furrowing.
“I’m sorry,” you giggle, your free hand rising to stifle it. “It’s just… you have such a fatherly sneeze.”
Azriel raises an eyebrow, a rare, amused smile creeping onto his face. “Fatherly sneeze?” He echoes. He has never heard the expression before yet he somehow understands it. If you thought his sneeze was “fatherly,” he’s curious to see your reaction to one of Cassian’s sneezes. That thought is enough to make him laugh outright.
It's so silly but the sound is so contagious that you laugh too. His shadows began to flutter around you, as if joining in on the laughter. Azriel’s gaze then drifts down, watching the way your lips curve in laughter, how your eyes crinkle at the corners, how effortlessly you draw light into his heart.
And there it is again—that rush of warmth. It’s mixed in with joy, so pure and intense it has to be coming from you. His heart stirs, his pulse quickens, his mind clears, and in a single, life-altering instant, he knows.
“You’re my mate.”
Your smile falters, replaced by a moment of hesitation. Some shadows travel to you, brushing softly against your arms as if in a reassuring manner. He can't help but watch them, realization dawning on him.
“Yeah, I am,” you admit quietly.
“How—when…” His voice catches, unable to form the words.
“I was walking through the forest when your shadows came to me. They led me to you, by the river. You were unconscious and bleeding. And then… the bond snapped for me the moment I saw your face. You were so cold and--and…,” your face tightens, eyes glistening at the memory and Azriel can feel the panic you must’ve felt then. “I’d just found what so many only dream of and you were already slipping away...I thought I’d never get to know your name…”
Azriel feels a pang deep in his chest as he absorbs every word. His chest feels tight again and he swallows thickly. “And when I woke up, why didn’t you tell me?”
Your gaze falls, fingers twisting together. “I wanted you to heal, to feel better. That’s all that mattered.”
“I owe you my life.”
“You don’t owe me anything. I would’ve saved you, mate or not.”
Azriel searches your face, touched beyond words at the sincerity in your tone. It made sense why he felt so drawn to you since the moment he saw you, why his shadows took a sudden liking to you and kept whispering "we found her, we found her!" They had known all this time, been able to sense it before he even could.
Looking back, Poppy being the one to bring him food and water and not you was not as strange as he originally thought. You were being mindful, not wanting to accidentally accept the bond without his knowledge. He felt an overwhelming gratitude for how gentle and considerate you've been with him all along. He couldn’t help but wonder how he had gotten so lucky to be bound to someone like you.
“And would you have sung to me, mate or not?” Azriel asks, his mind drifting back to the exact moment he'd first woken up.
Your cheeks flush, and you glance away toward the gardens, suddenly refusing to meet his eyes. “What?” You let out a small huff. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“What did I hear?” Azriel’s tone borders on teasing, his expression shifting into one of exaggerated contemplation. “Something like… ‘Beautiful stranger, here you are…’”
“That’s enough!” You interrupt, your face turning into an even deeper shade of pink, caught somewhere between mortification and laughter.
This time, it’s Azriel holding back a chuckle. His lips curl into a small smirk, seeing the blush that lights up your face. He quite likes that shade on you—likes being the one to bring it out even more. “So…”
You keep your gaze straight ahead. “So…?”
Azriel leans in, his voice low and warm, making your stomach flutter. “Do you sing that song for just anyone too?”
“No,” you let out a laugh, your hands cup your face but there’s no hiding the blush there.  “I’m afraid that song was just for you.”
“Good,” he murmurs.
You turn to look at him, realizing his gaze had never left you. Your hands drop back to the porch railing.  “Yeah?” you whisper, your own heart pounding, not sure what it was you were asking.
But Azriel seems to understand anyway. He can feel what you’re feeling, now fully aware and attentive to the bond humming between you.
“Yeah,” he breathes, his smirk softening into a genuine smile, his heart finally at ease.
A gentle warmth surges through the bond, reaching every shadowed corner of his heart and wrapping around his soul. It’s a feeling he could get used to, one he’s spent centuries longing and yearning for. It’s a feeling he’s searched for in all the wrong places, enduring the heavy weight of heartbreak after heartbreak.
But now, with you, he feels the weight begin to lift. After all the empty falls and broken promises, it’s finally, finally safe for him to fall.

The Brush Off
Pairing: Oscar Piastri x Felicity Leong-Piastri (Original Character)
Summary: 5 Times people flirt with Felicity and 1 time Oscar sees it happen.
Notes: Big thanks to @llirawolf , who listens to me ramble 😂 Also, check out my new divider!
Tumblr media
School Library, Haileybury
Felicity was tucked into her usual corner of the school library — second floor, far left, just behind the dusty shelf of outdated atlases no one ever touched. It was quiet there. Untouchable. Sacred.
Her legs were curled under her in a frankly illegal way that made the librarian twitch every time she passed by.
But Felicity didn’t care. She had more important things to worry about. Like finishing her own chemistry coursework, writing the conclusion to her robotics team report, and, most importantly, rescuing Oscar’s history grade from what could only be described as a stylistic disaster.
Her copy of The Selfish Gene sat open next to a packet of sticky notes and five highlighters arranged in rainbow order. Oscar’s essay draft was sprawled beside it like a corpse in need of resuscitation.
 She was six pages in.
She had already marked five run-on sentences, circled three historical inaccuracies, and scrawled “comma splice?” in angry red ink on the header. Next to that, she’d added, in smaller print: “This is a run-on sentence and also a war crime.”(This was three lines after “I am not sure if child labour can be considered a “perk” of the industrial revolution, Oz.”)
She was muttering to herself about how Oscar consistently forgot the difference between a primary and secondary source when a shadow fell across the table.
“Hey,” a voice said. “You always sit here?”
Felicity glanced up — just barely — and immediately clocked the newcomer.
Mateo.
The Spanish exchange student.
Hair swoop. Too much cologne.
He had the vibe of someone who thought reading The Secret History made him profound. Like the kind of guy who bought Moleskines but didn’t write in them. Like a walking Instagram profile captioned “Fluent in Nietzsche.”
She didn’t answer immediately. Just scribbled a note in Oscar’s margin (“use a stronger thesis here or face the wrath of every historian who’s ever lived”).
“On Wednesdays, yes,” she replied eventually, eyes still on the page.
Mateo didn’t take the hint.
He leaned in a little too close. She caught the movement out of the corner of her eye and already regretted not bringing headphones.
“What are you working on?”
She lifted Oscar’s paper slightly, as if it were obvious. “This.”
He squinted. “You’re helping a friend?”
“This is my boyfriend’s essay.”
Mateo’s face lit up, but not with recognition — with opportunity. “Wow. You’re that good a friend?”
Felicity blinked. “I’m that good a girlfriend.”
He paused. Smiled like she’d just told a cute joke at a party. “Sure. But, like, if you ever wanted to… hang out? Or study together? I’ve been struggling with philosophy.”
She stared at him. “You’re struggling with philosophy?”
He nodded eagerly. “It’s so dense, you know?”
“You mean… reading?”
He chuckled. “I just thought it might be easier with someone like you. Someone sharp. Smart.”
She just stared at him.
Still, he didn’t leave. “I’m just saying, if you ever get bored of helping your boyfriend… I wouldn’t mind a little attention.”
That’s what made her pause.
Because for a moment, Felicity genuinely didn’t understand what he meant.
Attention? What kind? Did he want her to edit his essay, too? Help him structure his arguments?
Was this a mentorship request? A tutoring thing? Was he trying to hire her?
Because from where she was sitting — wearing one of Oscar’s sweatshirts over her school uniform with her hair up in a pencil-stabbed bun, ink smudged on her fingers… There was no way this boy was flirting with her.
She finally looked up, expression flat. “I’ve been with my boyfriend for two years. I rewrite his footnotes. I know the number of his racing sim’s USB ports by memory. You think I have time for recreational idiocy?”
Mateo blinked. He stammered something that might’ve been “Sorry” or “Your loss” or possibly just the start of a philosophy quote he didn’t finish.
Then he turned and slunk away, disappearing into the nonfiction aisle like a man who needed to Google what a footnote was.
Felicity exhaled slowly, turned back to Oscar’s essay, and drew a tiny skull next to a sentence about Napoleon.
Ten minutes later, Oscar appeared — bottle of water in one hand, hoodie sleeves half-pushed up, curls slightly mussed.
“Hey,” he said, flopping into the seat beside her and nudging her ankle under the table.
Felicity didn’t even blink. She just slid his paper across the table.
“Yours,” she said, tone dry. “Try not to get seduced by misused commas.”
Oscar grinned, leaned over, and kissed her temple.

Engineering Library, Imperial College London
The engineering library at Imperial had a very specific kind of silence — dense, utilitarian, and just slightly stressed.
It didn’t have the hushed reverence of a humanities space or the open nervous energy of undergrads cramming in a group. No. This room buzzed with tension.
It smelled like soldering fumes, pencil shavings, leftover caffeine, and the faintest echo of ambition-turned-despair.
Most students had packed up hours ago, but Felicity remained in her fortress of design textbooks, open CAD diagrams, three kinds of scrap paper, and a crumpled granola bar wrapper that she’d been meaning to throw away for at least forty-five minutes. Her water bottle was dangerously low, her laptop fan sounded like it was preparing for lift-off, and her cursor had been blinking in the same spot on her thermal stress simulation for the last twenty-seven minutes.
She wasn’t stuck. She was just… tired.
Tired in the bone-deep way only a mechanical engineering student in her second trimester could be.
She shifted slightly, legs curled beneath her, one hand resting absently on the curve of her bump. Not because it hurt — not tonight — but because Beatrice had just kicked her in the ribs again, like she was trying to crawl out through Felicity’s diaphragm.
Her phone buzzed next to her laptop:
Oscar: Don’t forget dinner. Please. You always forget when your sim models hate you.
She smiled faintly but didn’t reply. Not yet. She still had heat sink values to triple-check.
That was when it happened.
A voice—too close, too casual—sliced through the stillness.
“Hey.”
Felicity looked up, blinking.
A guy was standing across the table. Probably mid-twenties. Tall, in that I stretch for photos, way. Crisp haircut. Slim jeans. Water bottle with a “No Bad Vibes” sticker on it — ironic, because he was currently radiating intrusive energy like a malfunctioning microwave.
He didn’t wait for permission. Just slid into the chair opposite hers like this was a first date she didn’t know they were having.
“I saw you in Thermo this morning,” he said. “That fluid mechanics question you asked? Insanely clever. I was going to say something after class, but you ducked out too fast.”
Felicity blinked at him. “I had a tutorial.”
“Oh, right,” he said. “Should’ve guessed. You seem like you’ve got everything scheduled down to the second.”
“I also needed chips,” she added, because both things were true.
He laughed like she’d made a joke. “You seem intense. I like that. Women in engineering? You don’t see that every day. Rare combination of intimidating and hot.”
She stared at him.
The words rolled around her brain like loose screws.
What… did he want?
Was this a compliment? An insult? An offer?
She was six months pregnant, her knees hurt, her thesis was trying to kill her, and she was wearing Oscar’s hoodie with a faint grease stain across the front.
What exactly was the goal here?
“I mean—don’t get me wrong,” he rushed on, clearly sensing the silence and trying to recover. “You’ve just got that… serious vibe. Like the kind of girl who rewires her own dishwasher.”
“I did,” she said flatly. “Last week.”
He blinked. “Seriously?”
“And the kettle. And Oscar’s sim pedal when it failed under full brake.”
There was a beat.
“…Who’s Oscar?” he asked, smirking now. “Your roommate?”
Felicity paused.
And for a moment—just a moment—she considered laughing.
Then she closed her laptop slowly. Deliberately.
“Oscar’s my husband.”
The guy blinked.
Stood up slowly. Her hoodie shifted, and with it, the full curve of her pregnancy became unmistakably obvious. Not theoretical. Not ambiguous. Imminent.
The guy’s eyes widened. “Oh.”
She adjusted the hem of her sweater, not breaking eye contact, slung her bag over one shoulder, and smiled — cold, clean, efficient.
“If you’re gonna flirt with a mechanical engineer,” she said, “maybe do a better job at observational diagnostics.”
He opened his mouth. Closed it. Looked like he wanted to apologise and also vanish into the carpet tiles.
Felicity didn’t wait for a response.

Trinity College, Oxford
By the time Felicity Piastri was twenty-one, she had two things down to a science:
How to balance a toddler on her hip while rewriting entire sections of a doctoral thesis.
The exact number of times she could ignore the same man before it became a full-blown academic experiment.
Her Oxford doctoral project - Reinforcement Through Flexibility: Dynamic Adaptation in Composite-Structured Performance Environments. - had technically been finished for weeks. The simulations were done, the modelling locked in, her conclusions tight and triple-sourced. Now she was just revising. Editing. Wrangling footnotes into submission while Bee tried to paste glitter stickers into the margins of her printed draft.
She did almost everything from home.
The only reason she even stepped foot into Oxford was for fortnightly supervision meetings with Dr. Green, who was brilliant, terrifying, and the only person Felicity would willingly leave the house (and her toddler) for.
Which was, unfortunately, where Nathan lived.
Nathan — Dr. Green’s personal assistant — had been a PPE student once upon a time, which explained a lot. Somehow, he’d wheedled his way into a departmental admin role despite not knowing the difference between a torque curve and a coffee stain. His talents included:
Misfiling room bookings.
Brewing tea that tasted like despair.
Flirting with Felicity like it was something he was being graded on.
The first time he tried it, she’d thought it was just bad small talk. She gave him the benefit of the doubt. He seemed the type to flirt accidentally, the kind of man who said “babe” to baristas and thought it made him charming.
The second time, she was slightly annoyed.
By the fifth, she had moved on to anthropological interest.
How did he not see the wedding ring? The child’s drawings poking out of her folder? The exhaustion of someone whose idea of a wild Friday night was installing firmware updates for fun?
Today, she arrived two minutes early for her meeting. She’d barely stepped into the department lobby when he spotted her.
“Dr. Green is running a bit late,” Nathan announced, standing up from behind the reception desk like he was emerging for a curtain call. “But I can keep you company if you like.”
Felicity barely paused. “She’s not. She still has 2 minutes till our appointment time.”
He grinned like she’d just flirted back. “You know, I was thinking the other day… you never hang around after your meetings. You always rush off.”
“Yeah,” she said, expression unreadable. “Because I have a toddler. And a dissertation. And a husband. In that order.”
Nathan winced theatrically. “Oof. Brutal.”
She offered him a smile that wasn’t one. “Sorry. Was that too reality-based?”
Still, he pressed on, leaning against the desk like he thought he was on the cover of GQ.
“Still,” he said, “it’d be nice to talk about something other than drivetrain mapping sometime. Maybe grab a drink?”
Felicity blinked. Twice.
It wasn’t the first time he’d suggested it. But somehow, today, it caught her even more off guard.
“You’re asking me,” she said slowly, “a married mother of one, who is actively finishing a thesis and hasn’t eaten a full sit-down meal in two days, to go get drinks with you?”
He laughed, like she was being ridiculous.
“I didn’t think you’d take it that seriously. We could just talk—”
“About what?” she asked, genuinely baffled. “What, precisely, do you think I have in common with a man who once told me Elon Musk was just misunderstood?”
Nathan blinked.
Felicity continued. “Do you want help with your CV? Is this about office gossip? Are you confused and trying to network with me through reverse psychology?”
“I just meant—”
“I’m not trying to be rude,” she said, eyes narrowing in thought. “I genuinely don’t understand what outcome you’re envisioning here. Do you think I’m going to cheat on my husband with the guy who can’t pronounce ‘aerodynamics’ without swallowing the word halfway through?”
He flushed slightly. “You don’t have to be mean.”
“I’m not. I’m being efficient.”
The door to the inner office opened before he could reply. Dr. Green appeared, breathless and balancing two takeaway coffees in one hand and a folder in the other.
“Felicity, I’m so sorry. The grant committee meeting ran over. Here—” She handed over one of the cups. “Decaf oat, right? And I pulled the new journal submissions for you. There are a few I thought might intersect with your secondary chapter on hybrid systems.”
Felicity smiled as she took the coffee. “Thanks. I already reviewed the three most relevant ones and emailed you a summary chart with citations.”
Dr. Green blinked. “Of course you did.”
Nathan blinked, too, but for entirely different reasons.
Felicity turned back to him just before following her professor inside.
“Oh, and Nathan?”
“…Yes?” he said, still — somehow — hopeful.
She raised her left hand and tapped the wedding band with one finger. “This wasn’t a joke.”
And then she shut the office door behind her like it was a verdict.
The Door Handle Aisle of Homebase, Woking
Oscar was off racing.
Felicity was elbow-deep in a bathroom renovation.
Not the Pinterest kind.
Not the “new towels and scented eucalyptus and a little bamboo ladder for the aesthetic” kind.
No, this was the “rip out the vanity with a crowbar and discover the wall behind it had been sealed with hope and duct tape” kind.
The kind of renovation that required full battle gear: dust mask, gloves, safety goggles, and the controlled fury of a woman who had read the plumbing manual twice and did not need a man explaining pipe fittings to her.
And because she was who she was — stubborn, competent, and wildly intelligent— Felicity hadn’t hired anyone.
She could do it herself.
And she would.
Which meant… many, many trips to the hardware store.
The staff had started to recognise her by mid-April. A couple of them even learned to duck when she walked in, in case she asked for a specific size of tap washer they didn’t carry. But one guy — the guy from the sealant aisle—hadn’t learned that lesson.
Late twenties, overly friendly, perpetually wearing a toolbelt he definitely didn’t need, like he thought it made him look rugged instead of unconvincing. He hovered near the caulk and grout displays like they were a dating pool.
The first time, it was casual.
“You here again?” he’d asked, smiling like he was in a rom-com. “You must really like DIY.”
Felicity didn’t look up from the tile grout chart. “I like doing things properly.”
The second time, it was more confident.
“Doing a kitchen too?” he asked, spotting the tile adhesive in her basket. “You ever need help—”
“I’ve got it, thanks,” she said, already walking toward checkout before he could finish.
By the sixth visit, he had apparently decided they were bonding.
She was in the handles aisle, comparing brass finishes, when she heard him again — that telltale sneaker-squeak on linoleum, the voice turned up a little too loud, too performative.
“Wow,” he said, appearing at the end of the aisle. “If I didn’t know better, I’d say you keep coming in just to see me.”
Felicity didn’t look up. She held one cabinet pull in each hand and considered which one better matched the art deco lines of the mirror she’d thrifted.
“I assure you,” she said, tone even, “my interest in you begins and ends with your stock of brass hinges.”
He laughed, undeterred. “Come on. You’re always here. I figured, maybe you’re one of those cool builder girls. You don’t wear a ring or anything, so…”
That’s what finally made her pause.
Not the tone. Not the implication. But the logic.
She looked at him.
“You think I keep coming in here because… what? I’m lonely?” she asked, brow furrowed in genuine confusion. “I’m literally holding blueprints and a door handle.”
He shrugged. “You just seem like the kind of girl who could use a little—” (God help him) “—company.”
Felicity blinked. She wiped a smudge of pencil from her chin, set the handles back down, and reached into her tote bag without breaking eye contact.
She pulled out her phone.
“I’m going to walk you through something,” she said calmly, unlocking the screen. “Because clearly, you didn’t do any preliminary research before launching this… ill-conceived outreach attempt.”
She turned the lock screen toward him.
A photo.
Felicity, curled up on a sofa in a hoodie. Oscar was beside her, kissing the top of her head. Bee sprawled between them in footie pyjamas, holding a spoon upside down like a trophy. The lighting was soft. Domestic. Unmistakably intimate.
“This,” Felicity said, “is my husband. He is currently in Azerbaijan, driving a car at three hundred miles an hour. That’s our daughter. She is two. I do renovations during naptime.”
The man paled. “Oh. I—uh. I didn’t know—”
“No,” she agreed. “You didn’t ask.”
He opened his mouth like he wanted to say something else — possibly to dig the hole deeper.
But Felicity wasn’t done.
“I come in here to buy tile primer. I don’t come in here for unsolicited analysis of my marital status from men who think a toolbelt is a personality trait.”
Her voice never rose. It didn’t have to.
It was calm. Steady.
The voice of someone who had personally rewired her fuse box and once installed a dishwasher while on the phone and dealing with a crying toddler.
She smiled politely. Dangerously.
Like a woman who kept zip ties in her car and knew how to use them.
“I’ll take these, thanks,” she said, lifting the cabinet handles. “Don’t need help carrying them. But if you’ve got any more of that tile primer from last week in stock, that would be helpful.”
He mumbled something about checking the back and fled like a man pursued by the consequences of his own choices.
Felicity watched him go, then picked up the nicer brass finish.
She didn’t even roll her eyes. She was too tired.
Felicity just wanted her tile primer and to go home.
***
Rooftop Bar, Melbourne
Felicity didn’t go out much.
Not because she couldn’t — Oscar insisted she take breaks, even booked her massages that she always forgot to attend — but because she liked her life.
She liked being home with Bee. She liked sanding doorframes and painting walls and mapping out the next renovation with a pencil stuck in her messy bun. She liked curling up on the sofa with her laptop, trading stock options at 1 AM. She liked Oscar reading over her shoulder, pointing out line graphs he didn’t understand but wanted to. She liked the steady rhythm of their days. Naptimes and quiet dinners and Bee’s loud commentary on the existence of pigeons.
But they were in Melbourne over the Winter break, and Nicole had insisted.
“You’re getting out of the house,” she’d said, practically pushing Felicity toward the wardrobe. “You’ve been in Australia for five days, and the only places you’ve seen are the beach and Bunnings.”
And so here they were — rooftop bar in Melbourne, warm summer air, glass of chilled white wine in Nicole’s hand and a lemon-lime mocktail in Felicity’s.
Their dresses fluttered in the breeze; Her hair was up. Her arms were bare. She looked, Nicole thought proudly, like the kind of woman men write songs about.
Which was, unfortunately, the problem.
Because a man at the bar had noticed, too.
He made his way over with the swagger of someone who once played rugby in uni and still referred to it as “his prime.” White linen shirt. Too many rings. Hair with more product than structure. And that thing men did when they leaned on a table like they were presenting a TED Talk on their charm.
“Hope I’m not interrupting,” he said smoothly, eyes only on Felicity.
Nicole didn’t blink. “You are.”
Felicity raised her eyebrows, mildly surprised, but didn’t say anything. She just sipped her drink and let the lime catch on her tongue.
The man chuckled — the low, confident kind that assumed he was being flirted back with.
“I just thought I’d say—you’ve got a great smile,” he continued. Still to Felicity. Still convinced. “You local?”
“No,” she said. “Just visiting.”
He nodded toward Nicole. “With your sister?”
Nicole’s mouth twitched.
Felicity opened her mouth to clarify, but Nicole got there first.
“I’m her mother-in-law,” she said, swirling her wine.
That gave him a moment’s pause. But not enough.
“Well, she’s clearly not married—” he gestured vaguely to Felicity’s left hand, bare in the way most hands are after a morning at the beach with a toddler and too much sunscreen.
Felicity smiled. Slowly. Like a summer storm deciding whether to ruin your picnic or level your whole house.
“I took my rings off before swimming this morning,” she said, amused. “Didn’t want to lose them in the ocean.”
He still didn’t give up. “No offence, but… a girl like you? You don’t need to be tied down so young.”
Felicity furrowed her brow. “What does that mean?”
“I mean, you could have fun. Live a little.”
“I’m married,” she said again, a little slower. “I live a lot.”
“You know what I mean,” he said, grinning.
 She genuinely didn’t understand.
What did he mean by that?
Was she supposed to say thank you? Defend her marriage?
Debate the merits of early commitment like she was on a panel?
“No,” Felicity replied honestly, “I actually don’t. What exactly do you think is going to happen? I abandon my family because you complimented my teeth?”
She had a three-year-old who could build better arguments about bedtime.
Before Felicity could figure out what to say, Nicole gently set her wine glass down.
“She’s not tied down, darling,” she said, tone perfectly pleasant. “She’s adored.”
She reached into her purse like she was pulling a weapon.
“Would you like to see a photo of her husband holding their daughter on the beach this morning?” she asked. “Or maybe the one where he flew eight hours just to make it to her thesis defence?”
The man’s face did a visible three-second software update.
“No, that’s okay,” he said, already backing up a step.
Nicole raised an eyebrow. “You sure? My son is very photogenic. His job likes to post him shirtless sometimes. It’s a whole thing.”
Felicity had to bite her lip to keep from laughing.
“Right. Uh—have a nice night,” the man muttered, vanishing like a bug under bright light.
+1 — The One Time Oscar Noticed
The garage was buzzing with that high-voltage energy unique to a U.S. race weekend — louder music, brighter cameras, fans pressed against every fence line like they were at a concert instead of a motorsport event. McLaren’s VIP list was stacked with influencers, sponsors, and the usual parade of celebrities trying to look like they knew what a downforce map was.
Oscar didn’t care about any of them.
He cared about the girls in the denim jackets with PIASTRI stitched across the back in big, white glittery letters. Their arts and crafts project for Silverstone.
Felicity was standing near the back of the garage, Bee balanced on her hip, and a pair of toddler-sized headphones slipped over her curls. The two of them had matching jackets, homemade and loud and perfect. Bee’s even had a sparkly iron-on chicken. Felicity’s had glitter stars. Oscar had never seen anything more beautiful in his life.
He was mid-chat with one of the engineers when he glanced over again.
And froze.
Because some guy—tall, tanned, fake-smiling, and clearly trying to look famous—was leaning way too close to Felicity. His teeth were too white. His shirt was unbuttoned halfway down his chest. He held a drink, and worse, he had sunglasses on inside. Oscar didn’t even know where he’d come from — but there he was, leaning against the garage railing like it was a club bar and Felicity was the drink special.
He was saying something. Laughing too loud.
Felicity frowned politely. She shifted a sleeping Bee on her hip and took a half-step back.
The man followed.
“I’m just saying,” he drawled, gesturing to her jacket, “if you’re gonna wear another man’s name on your back, he better be worth it.”
Felicity blinked. “He’s my husband.”
That didn’t deter him.
“Bet he doesn’t even know how good he’s got it,” the man said, still smiling, his gaze dropping briefly to her legs. “You ever get tired of being someone’s plus-one, let me know.”
Bee stirred a little, nose twitching, and Felicity rubbed her back automatically, like muscle memory. Her brow furrowed. “Excuse me?”
The guy tilted his head. “C’mon. You’re clearly the type who plays the sweet wife in public. But a woman like you?” He dropped his voice. “You need real attention.”
Oscar took a step forward, but someone else moved faster.
“Alright,” said a voice, sharp and Australian and impossible to ignore. “Let’s try that again — from six feet away.”
The man turned, surprised, and saw Mark Webber.
Mark didn’t need to raise his voice. His presence alone was enough to freeze a room.
He gave the man a smile that could cut glass. “You’ve got five seconds to back up before I make this very awkward for everyone.”
“Sorry, mate—”
“No, see, that’s the problem,” Mark said, stepping forward slightly. “You’re not her mate. You’re a stranger talking to a woman who’s clearly married, clearly holding a child, and clearly not interested. So unless you’re trying to get blacklisted from every paddock hospitality list from now until eternity, I’d walk away.”
The guy opened his mouth. Closed it. Then turned and slinked off like a coward in designer shoes.
Oscar finally got to them, face tight, fury in every step.
Mark nodded. “Handled.”
Oscar exhaled slowly. “Thanks.”
“No problem.” Mark looked at Felicity. “You alright?”
Felicity still looked baffled. “What was that?”
Oscar looked her over, checking Bee, checking her, like reassurance was the only way to keep his hands from shaking. “That guy was harassing you.”
“What? No. Was he?” She squinted after him. “He was just being weird.”
Oscar stared at her. “He was flirting. Badly.”
“He was being rude,” Felicity said. “And creepy. But flirting? Why would anyone flirt with someone holding a sleeping toddler and wearing a juice-stained T-shirt? Why does this keep happening?!”
Mark rubbed a hand over his face. “You’re wearing a custom denim jacket with your husband’s name on it in glitter. Holding your kid. And you still have men sniffing around. That’s not on you — that’s on them being idiots.”
Oscar exhaled hard.
Felicity, still gently rocking Bee, just sighed. “Maybe I should just get a flashing neon sign.”
Oscar stepped closer and kissed her temple. “You okay?”
She looked at him, tired but unbothered. “Yeah. Are you?”
“No,” he muttered. “But I will be once I get you both inside.”
***
They were tucked away in the quiet corner of the drivers' room now, post-session, Bee still fast asleep on the little sofa wrapped in one of Oscar’s hoodies. The chaos of the paddock had faded into muffled noise.
Oscar was sitting across from Felicity, one leg bouncing.
He was still rattled.
“What do you mean they keep flirting with you?” he asked, brows drawn together as he looked at her.
Felicity blinked up at him. “What?”
“You said it like it happens regularly,” he said, voice low and sharp with something he was trying to keep cool. “Like that wasn’t the first time.”
She paused. Shrugged. “I mean… it does? A little?”
Oscar stared at her. “Since when?”
“I don’t know. Since Haileybury, probably? Or Oxford. And, like… in the hardware store.”
Oscar made a noise that might have been a groan or a growl.
“And you didn’t tell me?” he asked.
“I didn’t think it mattered,” she said simply, brushing a hand over Bee’s curls. “They’re not you. So they don’t have a chance.”
He stilled.
That one sentence — calm, sure, like it was the most obvious fact in the world — hit him in the chest like a perfect downshift.
She tilted her head, studying him. “You really didn’t know?”
“I knew people looked,” he admitted.
Of course, they looked. He was aware of how Felicity looked:  Sunglasses pushed to the top of her head. Hair windswept from the open pit lane. She had juice on her shirt, no makeup, and still — still — she looked like something out of a dream. Breakable and brilliant. All porcelain and fire.
Beautiful.
“I’m not blind. But I didn’t realise they were… like that.”
“I don’t even get why they are doing it,” Felicity snorted. “I look like someone who hasn’t slept properly since Bee was born. I have crusted juice on my shirt. I literally threw Goldfish crackers at our daughter to buy myself ten minutes.”
Oscar leaned back, exasperated. “And you still look better than anyone else here.”
She narrowed her eyes. “You’re just biased.”
“I’m jealous,” he corrected, then ran a hand through his hair. “God, I hate it. That guy didn’t even flinch when you said you were married.”
“He probably thought I was joking,” she said mildly. “People don’t really expect twenty-somethings to be married with kids.”
Oscar’s jaw tightened. “They should. You wear my name on your back.”
She shrugged. “They don’t matter. You’re the only one I’ve ever wanted.”
Oscar was across the space in a second.
He kissed her — slow, deep, a little desperate — hand sliding around her waist, pulling her in close. His other hand cupped her jaw, thumb brushing her cheek like he had to remind himself she was real.
When he finally pulled back, he rested his forehead against hers, breath shallow.
“You’re mine,” he said, voice low. “I know I don’t own you, but God, I feel it sometimes. Like you’ve always been mine.”
“I have. Since we were 15,” she whispered. “I love you. I’ve always loved you. Even before you had a Wikipedia page.”
Oscar kissed her. Not rushed, not messy — but firm. Grounded. A kiss that said mine. A kiss that would’ve been indecent if she weren’t already wearing his name and carrying his child and his whole damn heart.
When he finally pulled back, she was breathless.
And across the room, Bee stirred, let out a sleepy sigh, and snuggled deeper into Oscar’s hoodie.
Felicity leaned in, kissed the corner of his mouth, and muttered, “You’re ridiculous when you’re jealous.”
He grinned. “You love it.”
“Unfortunately,” she sighed. “Yes.”
