Cozy Cabin Collection - Bedroom
Hey everyone!
The final part of the Cozy Cabin Collection is here! It is a bedroom set and includes a modular closet with items to fill them up with.
I'm a little sad to say goodbye this cabin theme because I gained a lot of followers through the time I was making these sets and I also learned a lot of new skills and techniques. When I came up with the idea of a large collection to guide us through autumn and winter, I hadn’t expected it to become so significant in terms of sentimental value. I was always thinking about the next idea to bring to life and living in a cabin in my mind. Despite this being a sad moment, I’m so excited for what’s next! I’ll be creating a set for a commercial lot, and I’ve had this idea for about a month and a half. After seeing what the next expansion pack will be, I’m even more excited because I think it will complement it well.
A bit more about this set: It started as a bedroom set but somehow turned into a closet set with bedroom items. At first, I only wanted to add two closet pieces with the door, but I figured it would be more versatile (and not too much extra work) if I included the corner piece as well. A little info on how the door works: You can slot the door onto the closet pieces, with three slots available on each piece. It only makes sense to use the side slots if you have two or more pieces placed next to each other. I added multiple slots for hanging clothes so you can use the in-game clothes (or other CC ones) that are grouped together, but also place individual items without using the TOOL mod.
The wicker basket, folded sweaters and the hat box are stackable.
For the curtains, I made a curtain rod that, for some godforsaken reason, looks completely different in-game than the rod on the curtain items themselves, despite them having the same texture and everything. This was the reason I couldn't include them in the last set—I just couldn’t get them right no matter how hard I tried. I even checked out other CC that does the same thing by separating the rod, and they all had the same problem. Somehow, the lighting on them looks different, and I couldn’t find a solution. So sorry for this issue but hopefully it's not too noticable.
I think that’s all! I’m really grateful for all of you being here—thank you, and I hope you’ll like this set as well. Let me know if you have any issues, and feel free to leave your thoughts below so I can see what you like and what you don’t.

What day is today? It's Ziggy's Gotcha Day!

I'm so sorry I haven't given you a dog update in eight months. I'm going to heck.
Today is Ziggy's first Gotcha Day! Elio's third was earlier this month. They are both doing swell. Ziggy is in such a different place than he was a year ago. When he got here, he was significantly underweight, his grooming neglected. He was undersocialized and fearful.

This is not fearful. This is wearing a hoodie after a bath.
Today he is thriving!
Ziggy is at his goal weight, and he is only afraid of a few normal things like the vacuum cleaner. Overall, he has normal temperament for his breed: cautious but curious.

Ziggy's socialization skills have improved dramatically over the past year; now, for the most part, he enjoys people and gets excited to see them instead of being fearful. He loves pets, playing, and cuddling.

Both of your ears are inside out. Embarrassing.

The eepiest.
Ziggy loves other dogs, and he loves playing with toys, especially very small stuffies. (He is very small! They're him-sized!) His favorite toy is a haunted house with bats inside that he can pull out and run around with.

Heck you, Dracula.

Iggies are stackable.
His other hobbies include running around in the backyard with the other dogs, sunning himself, and sleeping in heated dog baskets. He is super affectionate and very sweet.

This is normal iggy behavior, actually.

It’s laundry day. Not for him. His own routine is a bit of a mess these days. Most of his time revolves around her.
He sits outside the window, positioned just so the curtain obscures with his large figure. She keeps most lights off when she’s not using them. So he can spot clearly her path through the small one floor house. From her bedroom, down the hall, into the kitchen.
He shifts to see into the later. The light flicks on. She rolls in the hamper and stops it just on the other side of the stackable laundry unit. She pauses to rub her hips. She’s taken her medicine but it doesn’t seem to be helping.
She puts the clothes into the machine by small handfuls. She doesn’t do heavy lifting. He's made note of that. At the grocery store, she brings her own cart she can push home. She doesn’t grab anything big. Never a big bag of apples, only two or three. No sacks of potatoes but a package of the baby redskins.
She adds the soap and shuts the door. She hits start and the basket begins to fill. She braces the hamper and takes a few breaths. She moves the empty hamper against the counter and shuffles out, shutting off the light.
His mother has arthritis too. He takes her to her appointments for her check-ups. That’s where he first saw her. He thought she was rather young to be there. Maybe she thought the same of him, but she never looked at him once.
He follows her back to the bedroom. She unfolds her heating pad on the bed and crawls up to lay on it. Her shirt tugs up over her soft belly as she reclines. She taps the keys of laptop and focus on the screen.
Thor backs up to take out his phone. He keeps the screen as dim as he can. It’s dark in her yard and he doesn’t want to draw attention; hers or the neighbours’.
He feels like he’s falling behind. Peter got a number, Bucky started talking to his special one, and Steve spent a whole night with his. He’s got to figure something out.
He puts the phone away. There’s a moment of clarity. What is he doing? If she looked out and saw him then, she’d be horrified. It’s not his fault he’s so big. An elephant in a world built for gazelles.
He only wants to help her. He notices that. She doesn’t have anyone to take her to appointments or to pick up her prescriptions. Or to even help apply the steroid creams to her back where it hurts most.
She gets up when the cycle ends. It takes her long to switch the wet clothes to the dryer. She takes several breaks. She puts it on high temp then goes back to bed. She shuts off her lights as she does. She’ll deal with it in the morning.
She squirms to get comfortable. The glow of the laptop illuminates her figure. The cotton top rubs against her hard nipples and clings to her curves. The linen pants are tight around her full thighs and crease just so around her pelvis. Gods, he getting a bit worked up.
Her eyes slowly droop. He shouldn’t stick around. He does have a job. Sometimes it’s just too hard to leave her. And he didn’t figure out how to move this forward. He hasn’t even made himself known.
He shrugs in defeat. He makes his way around the house and lets himself out through the gate. A swell of nerves rolls in his stomach. Wait a minute. She didn’t check the doors. She always does.
He can’t just go. Just in case. He'll check for her. Yeah, that’s how he can help.
He strolls up the front path and to the front door. The awning casts him in a pool of shadows. He grabs the handle and turns, finding no resistance. The door clicks and opens. It’s a good thing he thought of it. Anyone could just walk in, like he is right now.
Like he is...
He steps into her entryway and his mind and heart race. What is he doing? Keeping her safe. That’s exactly it.
He locks the door. With him inside.
It’s fine. He’s not a bad guy. He’s just making sure she’s alright. He doesn’t want to frighten her so her takes off his boots. He carries them with him down the hall.
He stops outside her bedroom door as the dryer rumbles and covers his approach. Her back is to him. He can tell by her breath that she’s asleep.
He enters her room. What is he doing? He takes in the dim outline of her possessions.
He should go. That voice keeps telling him to go. No, he has to get something. He takes his phone out. He opens the camera and aims it at her. Just a picture.
The room illuminates with the flash. Shoot. He forgot to turn that off.
She twitches and his chest seizes. She brings her hand up to rub her cheek then reaches for her laptop. He woke her up!
She taps a button and turns down the brightness. Then she buries her face in her elbow. He backs up. He could leave. He could.
He reaches behind him and inches the closet door open. He slides it slowly then backs up through it. He hunches to fit beneath the shelf then closes the door. He can see her through the slats. What is he doing? He doesn’t know but gods, he is hard.

New minecraft tree idea; willow
If you cut down a willow but leave the tops (like only the stem no leaves) the leaves will gradually regrow
Willow leaves drop saplings and no normal sticks, they drop willow sticks which can be used to make baskets
Baskets hold any 4 items or something, even non stackables (extra tools) and other storage containers like shulker boxes and bundles
#i just like willows#the willow fence would actually be a wall variant made of sticks and it looks woven like willow walls are#minecraft#declaring my bias

Modern Balcony Design for Home! Guide to Planning Your Balcony Interior Design
Is your balcony just an overlooked, cluttered space? It’s time to unleash its potential and turn it into a stylish and functional retreat! With a few smart choices, you can transform your balcony into a peaceful sanctuary, a lively social corner, or even a green oasis. No matter the size of your space, a little creativity can make all the difference.
You are lucky if you have a private balcony as it is a great outdoor space to entertain friends and family. Turn your balcony into a comfortable spot, one where you can unwind, relax, or make beautiful memories.
The decoration and seating arrangements are crucial to enjoying the breeze and view of the outdoors. When planning the perfect balcony design, make sure to take into consideration the size of the space so that it does not look or feel cluttered. In this guide, we will take an in-depth tour of how a balcony must be designed so you can make the most of one of the best spaces in your home.

1. Choosing the Right Furniture
The first step in designing your dream balcony is selecting the right furniture. Space-saving and multifunctional furniture is key to making your balcony look stylish while remaining functional.
Opt for compact seating – Foldable chairs, a small coffee table, or a cozy bench with storage can make the most of a small space.
Go for relaxing options – If space allows, a hammock or swing chair can add a fun and relaxing element.
Weather-resistant materials – Choose furniture made of rattan, metal, or treated wood to ensure durability.
Use stackable pieces – These help you free up space when needed, especially in smaller balconies.

2. Add Greenery for a Fresh Look
A touch of greenery can make your balcony look fresh, vibrant, and more inviting. Even in small spaces, plants can be incorporated beautifully.
Maximize space – Use hanging pots, wall planters, or a vertical garden.
Choose low-maintenance plants – Succulents, ferns, and snake plants require minimal care and thrive well in balconies.
Create a natural privacy screen – Bamboo, climbing vines, or tall potted plants can act as a barrier from nosy neighbors.
Consider herb gardens – If you enjoy cooking, a small herb garden with basil, mint, or rosemary can be a practical and aesthetic addition.

3. Enhance the Ambiance with Lighting
Proper lighting can instantly transform the mood of your balcony, making it cozier and more inviting, especially in the evenings.
Fairy lights – String lights draped along the railing or walls create a magical, warm ambiance.
Lanterns and candles – These add a touch of elegance and soft lighting.
LED bulbs or wall sconces – A practical option for task lighting if you plan to use your balcony for reading or dining.
Solar-powered lights – A sustainable and cost-effective option for outdoor lighting.

4. Play with Textiles & Decor
Soft furnishings and décor elements can make your balcony feel like an extension of your indoor living space.
Outdoor cushions and pillows – Add comfort and color to your seating area.
Rugs and carpets – Weather-resistant rugs can make the space feel cozy and well-designed.
Curtains or bamboo blinds – These provide shade, privacy, and enhance the overall aesthetic.
Decorative elements – Wall art, sculptures, or a small water fountain can elevate the balcony’s look.
5. Utilize Smart Storage Solutions
Keeping your balcony clutter-free is essential to maintaining its charm and usability. Smart storage solutions can help you organize items without taking up too much space.
Wall-mounted shelves – Ideal for holding plants, books, or decorative items.
Multi-purpose furniture – A bench with built-in storage or a coffee table with shelves can be very useful.
Storage boxes or baskets – Perfect for organizing cushions, gardening tools, or miscellaneous items.
Foldable racks – Helps store items neatly when not in use.

6. Personalize Your Space
Your balcony should reflect your personality and lifestyle. Customize it according to your interests to create a space that feels like your own.
Reading nook – A cozy chair, a side table, and a good book can turn your balcony into the perfect reading spot.
Yoga or meditation space – A simple mat, some greenery, and calming decor can make it a peaceful retreat.
Mini café setup – A small bistro table with chairs, a coffee machine, and soft lighting can create a perfect morning coffee spot.
Outdoor workspace – If you enjoy working outdoors, set up a compact desk with comfortable seating.

No matter the size of your balcony, a little creativity can turn it into your favorite spot at home! Whether you dream of a lush green oasis, a cozy lounge, or a functional workspace, the right design choices can bring your vision to life.
By incorporating the right furniture, greenery, lighting, textiles, and smart storage, your balcony can become a stunning and practical extension of your home. So, start decorating today and enjoy your dream balcony!

Bro, Squishmallows are complicated as fuck.
I'm trying to make a list of Squishmallows that I already have, and I'm trying to make it as comprehensive as possible, but it's quickly becoming complicated. There are a LOT of Squishmallow's (which I know sounds obvious at first, but it's simply baffling just how expansive the product line is), and it's more difficult to find help in collecting them than I had assumed.
First off, I'm trying to figure out the size range, and I keep getting mixed results. I keep seeing sources that say there are 12 sizes for Squishmallows (3.5, 5, 6, 7, 7.5, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 24 inches), but according to the wiki for Gio and Shahzad, they come in 4.5", which is the size I have both of them in. Then I found one source saying that there wer a whopping TWENTY-ONE sizes, going all the way up to 28", yet all the other sources insist that the line stops at 24". And when it comes to the smaller Squishmallows, I see sources going "oh yeah, all the mini Squishmallows are 2 inches", but these exclude the Micromallows, which are 2.5 inches. In fact, when I search up minis, all that comes up is the Squishville lines. I had to dig to find the Micros (which sucked bc I forgot what they were called).
Secondly, there are far more lines and offshoots of these things than I initially realized. Like, you have the regular Squishmallows, (including the keychains even though I would assume they'd be considered a separate thing but the size charts consider them the same so idk), there's also Squishville, Micromallows, Fuzzamallows, Flipamallows, Squooshems (which I don't think are even plushies), Squishdoos, Stackables, and Squeezemallows (which I had trouble finding ANY info about and only ever saw ONCE at a single Target store), and also the Mystery Squad(s?) (which I don't know if they count as part of the regular line or not). That's not even including the trading cards, hats, shirts, slippers, ornament, baskets, costumes, accessories, pet beds, pet toys, and lord KNOWS what else.
Lastly, there are multiple versions of most of the Squishmallow characters. Whether it be different sizes, different product lines, seasonal versions, or whatever else the creators might choose to through out there, it feels like there's an infinite list of both characters and character iterations.
It hasn't taken me long to realize Squishmallow collecting is complicated, even to a casual fan such as myself. And I find it strange that despite its large fanbase of avid collectors, it isn't easy to find any sort of comprehensive and all-encompassing guide to 'Mallow hunting. Nevertheless, I'm a stubborn bastard who loves cute plushies, and by god I'm gonna give it my best shot.
#azzyramblz#squishmallow#squishmallows#plushies#this isnt how i wanted to use my blog#but i need to complain about this#also i really want the Grey the dragon squishmallow#i saw it once and never again#ah well#seriously tho why is this so complicated#does this count as a vent?#i feel silly tagging this as vent#wait i forgot the word “rant” existed#rant#also i forgot to mention but a lot of the sources i read were not up to date#which isnt very helpful as you can imagine

5 Smart Storage Ideas for Small Laundry Rooms

In our quest for efficient living, we often find ourselves grappling with the limitations of small laundry rooms. We’ve all faced the challenge of maximizing space without sacrificing functionality. By exploring five smart storage solutions, we can transform these compact areas into organized havens. From utilizing vertical space to creating a dedicated folding station, there are practical strategies that can make a significant difference. But how do we implement these ideas effectively in our unique spaces? Let’s uncover these solutions together and see how they can redefine our laundry experiences.
Utilize Vertical Space

When it comes to small laundry rooms, utilizing vertical space is a game changer. We’ve found that maximizing this often-overlooked area can transform chaotic environments into organized havens. By incorporating tall cabinets and stacked appliances, we create effective small laundry room storage solutions that keep everything within reach while reducing clutter on the floor.
Instead of relying solely on open shelving, which can feel disorganized, we can designate specific areas for laundry essentials. For instance, placing liquid detergent and stain removers on an upper shelf not only keeps them accessible but also frees up valuable counter space.
Pull-out baskets for dirty clothes are another smart addition; they help maintain order and ensure our laundry room stays tidy. Additionally, adding hooks or racks can provide extra hanging space for items like ironing boards or cleaning tools.
These small storage solutions make a big difference in our daily routines. By prioritizing vertical space, we enhance both functionality and aesthetics, ultimately creating a laundry room that works hard for us. Let’s embrace these ideas and transform our laundry spaces together!
Install Wall-Mounted Shelves

Installing wall-mounted shelves can revolutionize our small laundry rooms by providing much-needed storage and organization. These shelves are an excellent solution for maximizing the often-overlooked space above the washer, turning it into a functional area for storing laundry essentials.
By utilizing wall-mounted shelves, we can keep our supplies off the floor, reducing clutter and enhancing the overall aesthetic of the room.
When we think about laundry room storage ideas, we should consider the materials we’ll use. Opting for sturdy plywood or MDF ensures our shelves are reliable and durable.
We can follow some simple organizing tips, like measuring our space accurately and using a level to ensure everything’s straight.
Installing supports in three places—both sides and the back—will help distribute weight effectively. Once the supports are in place, we can lay down our shelf tops and secure them with screws or an airless nail gun.
This creates ample storage space for detergents, fabric softeners, and more. Plus, it’s a smart way to keep frequently used items within easy reach, transforming our laundry experience for the better.
Incorporate Bins and Baskets

After optimizing our vertical space with wall-mounted shelves, it’s time to think about how bins and baskets can further enhance our small laundry room’s organization. Incorporating these storage solutions is essential for keeping everything tidy and accessible.
We can choose clear bins for visibility, allowing us to see our laundry supplies at a glance. By labeling each bin, we simplify laundry room organization and make sorting dirty clothes a breeze.
We also have the option to use decorative baskets that add a touch of style while maintaining functionality. Color-coded bins can help create a cohesive look, bringing a calm atmosphere to our laundry space.
When it comes to storage ideas for small areas, collapsible and stackable bins are our best friends, as they save space when not in use.
Let’s designate specific bins for different types of laundry, such as whites, colors, and delicates. This not only streamlines our workflow but also keeps everything organized.
Add Hooks and Racks

Maximizing our laundry room’s functionality starts with adding hooks and racks that make use of vertical space. By incorporating these elements, we can efficiently organize our essentials while keeping the floor clear.
Hooks and racks not only serve as practical storage solutions but can also enhance the overall aesthetic of our small laundry room.
Here are a few ideas to consider:
Wall-mounted hooks: Perfect for hanging ironing boards or brooms, these save valuable floor space.
Hanging drying racks: Collapsible options work great for air-drying clothes without taking up too much room.
Pegboards: Customizable and versatile, they allow us to hang various items and keep everything within reach.
In a small laundry room, every inch counts. By strategically placing hooks and racks, we can transform our space into an organized haven.
These small laundry room ideas help us maximize functionality while ensuring our essentials are always accessible. So, let’s get creative and make the most of our vertical space with these practical storage solutions!
Create a Folding Station

Creating a folding station in our small laundry room can significantly streamline our laundry routine. By incorporating a dedicated space for folding, we can make the most of every inch. Whether we choose a standalone table or utilize the top surface of our appliances, having a designated area helps us stay organized.
Here’s a quick overview of our options for creating an efficient folding station:
With any of these choices, we can keep our laundry area tidy and efficient. Plus, integrating storage baskets for supplies and folded items will further enhance our small space. So let’s get creative and establish a folding station that works for us!

have yall ever wondered "hey, what does Null do when they're not writing?" well, mostly I spend my time being mediocre at the sims, relatedly, I made Techno's cabin in the sims, spoilers for my fic Misery Meat ahead but if you want to see it here it is
The outside of Techno's basic ass house, I will note, there is an inaccuracy that exists from me trying to make this in the sims (as will happen frequently) those stairs in the back? yeah, that should actually be a cellar door, that's heading to the creepy basement. also to be noted, there should be a lot more animal stuff, but I am not buying cottage living or any other overpriced pack from EA (sliding the nifty knitters pack under the rug, that doesn't count, I always make Tommy a knitter and I need a way to represent that in multiple builds). The outside is probably the least accurate part on account of I couldn't get the outbuildings.
moving on to going inside.
the in between space that is the porch, again, this is where a lot of stuff for Steve should be, like a hutch for him to chill in and a bed along with some toys should he care for them, but I don't have the pets pack so instead I have placed some bowls for him.
the entryway, Techno didn't put that wallpaper up, but also he doesn't dislike it, so it stays, you can see hints of Techno's foraging here, like all the baskets he keeps close to the door and the basket of mushrooms on the counter.
Living room, you can see the trauma couch, along with some of the yarn Tommy leaves scattered about when he's project planning, and his little loom on the coffee table. Again we run into an issue with the sims being the sims, any picture frames you see assume they're of Techno's family, since I can't include them. Also keep in mind all the pigs come from Phil and the rocks are from Wilbur (he likes to bring Techno anything cool he finds)
Kitchen, so many crimes happen in this cozy little room.
Dining room, see previous caption
bedroom from a few different angles so you can see all the charm, accuracy notice, I couldn't find farm animal plush mods on curseforge so Henry is being played by a capybara and Techno's ugly pig by a bunny.
bathroom, wow small spaces are hard to do in the sims and I hate it, does anyone have any good tricks for getting the camera to a place where you can decorate the walls without other walls getting in the way? anyways, there's not enough pink available in the sims, most of the cloth in this bathroom should be pink.
Laundry room, this room stays locked. I mentioned Techno having a stackable but this also works. Not a lot interesting going on here, other than Tommy isn't usually allowed in this room.
creepy stairs to the basement and the basement, again with sims problems, I populated a few shelves with clutter and then decided that was way too tedious, but Techno would have all those shelves stocked and also there should be stuff like the water heater at the bottom of the stairs but again, not in the sims.
anyways, as with everything that's not in the text of the story you're welcome to take or leave all of this, headcanon whatever you want, be free, but if you were interested in getting a visualization of what's going on in this house here's my take on it.
(also I am not ever on the sims side of tumblr, sims people let me know if I'm cluttering up your tags or using them wrong, I will correct it)

Progress is slow. But it's happening!

I've got four clear bins of craft supplies sorted and labeled. One has polymer clay, air-dry clay, and clay tools. One has embroidery thread, macrame cording, and leather cord. One has glue, glitter, resin, molds, and tape. And the last one just has paint. I've got some white baskets that contain mostly yarn but one has spray paint, workable fixative for pencil drawings, and clear matte varnish.

I'm currently sorting these two white baskets into the green stackable baskets for the sewing stuff.

This unsightly tangle is next up on the sorting list.
Most of the stuff in these little baskets and piles on the floor came out of this one bin

And now the only things inside it are things I'm getting rid of
This will be done before midnight sooooo technically all today. Yay!
