“Everyone’s out to get you, aren’t they?“
doctor who sentence meme
a part of him wanted to laugh, but he was too tired to really do much at first other than nod. it was the truth but that’s what happens when you prove you have a spine to a man like makarov dreyar. and being much smarter than him in an obvious manner. it seemed sting euclifee was already the latter.

“to be honest, lately i’ve been on the other side of it.” ivan said and it was the truth. the war had done quite a bit for raven tail, reputation wise and that was all that mattered to ivan. the more jobs, the better after all. and it was easier and easier to pretend to ignore makarov. "i’m just happy that i’ve never met the true ire of master bob.”

Fairy Tail || Reunion
An AU concept, of what if Wendy had known Sting and Rogue when they were children. Since, without the seven year time time skip, she would currently the same age as them.
- Reunion
Fourteen Years Ago: The sound of subdued sniffles and crying echoed throughout the forest as the young girl stumbled over the ground, clothes rumpled and hair askew whilst constant tears streamed down her face.
So upset was the girl, with teary eyes focused on the ground below her, she failed to even notice the two figures up ahead until their feet came into her blurry vision. Coming to an abrupt stop, she lifted her head, blinking rapidly as she found herself face to face with two boys who couldn’t be any older than herself.
Sniffling, panic-stricken blue eyes darted between the both of them warily, one foot shifting backward as she spun around ready to run away.
“Wait!”
She paused. She didn’t know these people - infact, they looked rather scary. She didn’t even know where she was. She was lost. She was hungry. She missed Grandeeny.
Glancing back over her shoulder, the girl found the two boys exchanging silent glances before looking her way.
“Are you lost or something?” The blond one asked, unsure of what to say to put her at ease.
“You’re a bit young to be out by yourself.” The dark haired boy added.
Turning around, and wiping her eyes, she nodded her head. “I-I lost her…”
“Lost who?”
“Grandeeny!” She cried, taking the boys off guard by her sudden outburst. Expression heartbroken, she took a few tentative steps forwards. “I-I just woke up… and she was gone... A-And I keep looking for her… but she’s nowhere to be found...”
“Is she your sister?” That was the blond one speaking.
She shook her head.
“Mother?” The other this time.
“Yeah…” She whispered, glancing down, with eyes down-cast.
“Well, we’ll help you look for her!” Grinning suddenly, the more energetic of the duo offered out a hand. “I’m Sting, and this is Ryos.”
Blue eyes took in the sight of the hand silently for a moment, before she hesitantly reached out her own small one to accept it, a timid smile in place. “I’m Wendy…”
“Well Wendy, what does your mother look like?” Ryos asked.
“She’s super big, and strong.” Wendy murmured, a larger smile surfacing as she recalled her. “And she’s the colour of the moon at night, with sharp teeth that can tear into anything!”
“Wha…” Blue eyes wide, Sting gaped at her. “What the hell kind of mother is that!?”
“Is your mother even human?” Ryos asked, frowning.
“Nope!” Wendy shook her head, beaming happily at the both of them as she clasped her hands behind her. “She’s a dragon!”
“What!?”
.
.
Following on from that, the three young children who had been thrown together by a random turn of events, stayed together for almost a full year.
“I can’t believe you guys are Dragon Slayers too!” Wendy exclaimed, walking backwards so she could face the pair who were following after her. “I work with sky magic, what about you guys?”
Sting grinned widely, pride shining in his blue eyes. “I use white dragon slayer magic. It’s super strong.”
“Woooow." She grinned, doing a little bounce on the floor in excitement. "What about you, Ryos?” Wendy turned her head towards the more silent of the trio.
“Shadow magic.” He supplied.
Nodding, she looked between them both. “So did you two lose your dragon parents as well, then?”
There was a brief moment of silence where the two boys shared a look – they seemed to do that a lot, she noted – before glancing back at her. In the end, Ryos nodded. “Yeah.”
“Oh, I see.” Turning back around, Wendy smiled ear to ear as she walked on, oblivious to the wary expression the boys held. She was confident that with the two boys by her side, they’d find their lost dragons.
Even if took weeks or months, or even years!
.
.
True to their word, the two boys remained by Wendy’s side. Aiding her in searching for Grandeeny, whilst also protecting her, it wasn’t that long before they came to view her as their sister.
Walking together, playing together, sleeping together. They were an odd group to be sure, but they made it work. Certainly, they were happy so long as they were together.
But, in the end, even that joyous moment came to an end...
Feet raced across the market square, as the three children ran, swerving around stalls and crowds with hands linked. The two boys held tightly onto Wendy between them, bread stuffed in their pockets and coats as they exchanged cheeky grins.
“Oi, stop those thieves!”
With the voice of the angry baker nearing closer, the three looked on to notice a pair of council men unfortunately nearby who heard the accusation.
“Uh oh.” Sting muttered.
“Split up and meet outside the town.” Ryos whispered.
With a nod, they all released hands and shot off in different directions. Sting choosing to run up ahead, he grabbed the councilmen’s attention with taunts and rude gestures before having them chase after him in the opposite direction to the other two.
It was really just a usual routine the three were used to.
Unfortunately that day, it just happened to go wrong.
.
.
With their meeting spot chosen to be on the outskirts of the town near a ravine, Sting sat on a boulder overlooking the river below. At the sound of footsteps, he glanced over his shoulder, a pair of red eyes meeting his own as Ryos came into view. Before Sting could even say anything, the other boy was already speaking.
“Where’s Wendy?”
Frowning, the blond stood up, turning to meet his childhood friend. “She went in your direction with you.”
“I lost sight of her, she went down a different road.”
The two fell into silence for a moment, worry and apprehension mixing on their faces.
“Let me go!”
Eyes widening at the voice, the two glanced in the direction it came from.
“Wendy!”
.
.
Limbs flailing, Wendy kicked the air as the older man hauled her in the air by the neck of her shirt, face red with anger.
“Steal from me, will ya?”
“I’m sorry! I said I’m sorry, just let me go!” If only she was strong enough to use her magic yet, she wouldn’t have to rely on Sting and Ryos to bail her out every time she got into trouble! Sniffling, she tried to escape the baker man’s grasp, only for him to yank on her again.
“You’re not going anywhere, you’re gonna have a long, nice chat with them councilman is what.”
“Oi, get off her!”
Darting forward out of the trees, Wendy barely had time to widen her eyes before Sting had leapt forward at the man. A hand wrapped around her arm and tugged her free, Ryos pulling her aside.
“Sting, be careful!”
“Tch, this is a piece of cake!” The blond laughed, sending the man to the ground with a kick at his shins. Turning around to face the two of them, he puffed out his chest in pride. “I’m the best dragon slayer there ever was!”
Wendy’s face went pale. “Sting, watch out!”
Hand raising with a wooden rolling pin in tow, the man leapt forward whilst colliding it against Sting’s head. His name left Ryos’ lips as the dark haired boy leapt forward, pushing the blond and sending them both tumbling out the way.
- and over into the ravine.
A scream was torn out of her lips as she ran forward, but a set of hands were dragging her back from the edge. She shouted their names, and begged for them to come back.
“Easy lass, easy! I’m sorry, I-I didn’t mean to…”
Ripping free of his grasp, the bluenette rushed forward to fall by the edge of the rocky cliffs, blue eyes searching the waters below.
It was no use though.
They were gone.
She’d lost the people closest to her once again.
Why? Why did this always happen!?
Hands clenched into fists, she cried. She cried, and cried. In the end, the man ran away, guilt engulfing his eyes as he left her there.
She was all alone again.
It was in that state, wandering by herself, that she met Mystogan two weeks later.
In the end, she lost even him too.
.
.
Present Day:
“Sting… Ryos…”
The young dragon slayer stared at the two older teenagers, the three of them stood on the cobbled streets of Crocus. When the others had told her that Sabertooth had two dragon slayers, she’d never for a minute thought that... Well. She certainly never entertained the notion it was them of all people. Wendy had held onto the firm belief that they were dead.
From behind, she was aware of Lucy and Charle asking her what was wrong. Meanwhile, Natsu was busy being held back from confrontation by Gray and Erza as they tried to figure out how Wendy knew the two men.
Likewise, the duo seemed just as shocked to see her too.
“Wendy…” Sting whispered, eyes staring at her as if she was a ghost.
“Y-You’re not dead.” She whimpered, tears filling her eyes as her shoulders shook. To think, all this time, they'd been out there somewhere alive. “Y-You fell into the ravine! I saw it!...”
“We did.” Rogue – no, Ryos – said, watching her with disbelief. His words seemed oddly dull, as if he hadn't yet accepted the situation and was speaking without really thinking. “But we survived it.”
“How are you… how did…” Raising a gloved hand to his head, Sting closed his eyes for a moment trying to take it all in as he ran fingers through his hair in frustration whilst letting out an irritated noise.
They were alive.
They were older, they’d changed, and they may be on the rival team, but it was them.
Unable to stop the flow of tears, Wendy lifted her hands to cover her face, ignoring the cries of her team mates as a smile appeared on her face.
They were alive.
“I missed you guys…”
