May had always been a hard-working woman, and supporting her nephew when the boy's parents died had become a kind of livelihood so that she could have the energy to work. "I think it's a great idea. We can let them know that you'll be moving in with me when I pass MIT, and we'll live in a house in the country with two kids and a dog." Peter comments, closing the car door and continuing his journey.

The white lights of the streets, together with the moon, gave the teenagers an unreal feeling. That feeling that the world isn't real, and their existence is just another speck in the middle of several grains of sand on a beach called the universe. The car drove slowly, on purpose, as Peter didn't want his girlfriend to leave. A slow song was playing on Y/n's Bluetooth, which responded to the music by diverting its eyes from the multimedia system implanted in the center of the car's dashboard.

The Draconis Combine inherited Alshain Weapons' Panther factory on New Oslo when the Star League dissolved and quickly put the production line to work building new Panthers for the DCMS. Their first large-scale use by Kurita warriors came during the First Succession War in the battle for Quentin, when the Second Legion of Vega used their Panthers to severely maul the slower, heavier 'Mechs of the Forty-second Avalon Hussars while avoiding return fire. Throughout the Succession Wars, the Combine was the only significant user of the Panther, often pairing it with the Jenner in a deadly combination of speed and firepower; though the other Successor States employed Panthers in smaller numbers, these were either the result of battlefield salvage or older League-era 8Z models. The Panther also proved itself a deadly urban combatant, using its mobility to easily navigate the more restricted space of a city environment and take out heavier opponents from rooftop sniping perches with its main weapon. Lyran MechWarriors eventually took to nicknaming the 'Mech the "Alley Cat" for its propensity to conduct dark alley-way "muggings."

Demand for the Panther continued to increase, forcing Alshain to build a secondary factory on Jarett to keep up. In an ironic twist both factories were eventually lost: New Oslo first transferred ownership to the Free Rasalhague Republic following its creation in 3034, ensuring the Panther soon became a mainstay of the KungsArmé. Then during the invasion of the Clans, both Alshain and New Oslo were swiftly conquered by Clan Ghost Bear and another Free Rasalhague Republic Panther plant on Satalice was also lost to Clan Wolf. While Alshain Weapons crash-built a new line on Tok Do in 3053, they could not maintain their pre-Invasion production levels and focused on spare parts and refit kits instead. Eventually Wakazashi Enterprises bought the production license for the Panther and began rolling out new variants from its New Samarkand factory. These have gone on to serve in every DCMS unit since, including the bloody years of the Jihad.

The Panther's primary weapon is a Lord's Light PPC mounted in the right arm, boasting one of the highest damage outputs of any weapon. Unfortunately the PPC is also one of the most heat intensive, though many officers see it as a good learning opportunity for raw recruits to spend their first years piloting the Panther and gain experience managing its heat curve with thirteen single heat sinks. The PPC is backed up by a reliable Telos Four-Shot SRM-4 launcher mounted in the center torso, supplied by one ton of ammunition in the left torso. This mix of long and short-range weapons allows the Panther to stay at range and inflict damage on its enemies and close in and use the SRM-4 to make the killing blow.

Luxray for Pokemon Unite? Yes please! ...but how?

For a while, I've been running polls on this blog frequently, asking Tumblr to decide which pokemon they'd like to see join Pokemon Unite. Whenever Luxray in particular has been an option, it tends to dominate the poll, without a close second.

It's clear that you guys and most pokemon fans want Luxray in the game, and so do I, but I've run into a bit of a dilemma with this bolting bobcat.

These are the base stats of Luxray, or BST for short. As you can see, Luxray has a high Attack stat, so it should fit well in the role of a Speedster, correct? I mean, it's even got X-Ray vision, which would allow it to sneak up on enemies hiding in tall grass and such.

With that high Attack stat, though, one can also make the argument for it to be an Attacker. There are pokemon in Unite's roster that boast a high Attack stat but favor long rage combat like Cinderace and Decidueye, so who's to say that Luxray can't work just as well? Perhaps it can build up a sort of meter to get the most out of its Attack stat, like a paralysis gauge or something to that effect.

Luxray also has access to Intimidate, wide range moves like Discharge and Scary Face, even disruption moves like Roar and Snarl. With the ability to stun enemies with its electric type moves, it could also be a Defender, holding enemies back with moves like Wild Charge and Crunch. Perhaps as a Defender it can pull in high damaging moves like a Speedster or long range attacks like an Attacker.

But then at that point, you'd be better off making Luxray an All-Rounder, a pokemon that can fulfill multiple roles in one but not excel in any of them. Maybe it should hit as hard as a Speedster, Stun like a Defender, and keep its distance like an Attacker.

But that feels like a cop-out. There are All-Rounders in Pokemon Unite that feel better suited to other roles like Mimikyu or Lucario or even Blaziken being Speedsters. There's also the fact that we're a little overloaded on All-Rounders (15 in the game so far, with MORE coming soon. We'll have almost as many All-Rounders as we do Attackers!)

But even so, if the pokemon proves to be truly varied in effect and utility, maybe it deserves to be an All-Rounder. But then again, some fans of Luxray may prefer an alternative playstyle and may even have their own ideas on how the moveset would look like.
