What do you think about these intro books; Marx's Capital by Fine and Saad-Filho; Understanding Capital by Foley; Unravelling Capitalism by Choonara; The Philosophy of Marx by Balibar; Value: The Represention of Labour in Capitalism by Elson; Introduction to Marxist Economic Theory by Mandel; and The Revolutionary Ideas of Karl Marx by Callincos, dude u should write a bib of intro to Marx books.
ive only ever read bits of 1 & 2, so im unable to say much about them but 1 is definitely a very good presentation and i think a much stronger book than foley’s from what ive seen. its also the one ive read more of between the two.
choonara’s book is alright but its an introduction to a particular reading of marx that i find pretty untenable (the temporal single-system interpretation of kliman and co). not a bad step-off point maybe but it feels like more of a SWP(uk) pamphlet than a decent intro to marx imo. ive recommended it before but always with a pillar of salt.
never read balibar, nothing to say
elson’s book is another one ive never finished (although i at least went through it as a book rather than just pulling it off the shelf as a reference to see what was said about X, which is more like what i did with the first 2 on this list), but id say its not much of an introduction. its pretty involved in a way that none of the other books listed here are and i think itd be better reading for once you've already gone through some marx and want to see what some of the scholars clarifications look like.
mandel’s book (if you can call it that) isn’t really an introduction to “marxist economic theory” tbh. its sometimes used that way but it was actually written to serve as an introduction to his 2-volume book Marxist Economic Theory. he gets the basics wrong on things (his understanding of SNLT is fucked) and im not sure its worth consulting for making sense of marx. the 2 volumes are a bit better and have more going for them even if theyre not entirely reliable either. still wouldnt recommend them as an intro though.
callinicos is in choonara’s circle (damn near father and son) so you get a very similar reading of marx with the same cliffite positions at the tail of the book and a pretty fundamentalist reading of capital. he gets a couple of things wrong in his history/marxology, and he even makes the brave prediction that personal computers won't be a thing in everyones homes as the techies seem to think (written in the 80s and i guess he didnt revise that when it got a new edition in 2011, sorta funny to read it now). not a great book but not a bad book. there are definitely worse and it covers a lot more ground as a partial intellectual biography of marx. id feel less bad about recommending this one than some others, but its the only one here that doesnt explicitly focus on the economic stuff so if thats what youre looking for then you'll have to look elsewhere.
out of the others though, id suggest fine/saad-filho’s book just because i know it does a good job of breaking things down, offering visualizations, and providing lists of resources at the end of each chapter for things to read on the topics being discussed, including an explicit attempt to recommend books/articles/etc that dont share the position of the authors, which gives new readers a better idea of the scope of the discussion and is a bit less one-sided than many other introductory texts.

Sensor Data for Internet of things (IOT)
In today's ever-evolving digital landscape, the Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a transformative force, reshaping how we interact with our environments.
The seamless integration of sensor data, which enables a multitude of applications across varied industries, is central to this technological transformation. From smart homes and cities to industrial automation and healthcare, the possibilities are endless when it comes to leveraging sensor data for IoT solutions.
I am Techy Saad and welcome to Techy Saad blogs. Let's understand the sensor data for IOT.
Tumblr media
Understanding Sensor Data
Sensor data, the lifeblood of interconnected systems, is information gathered from sensors placed in the real world. These sensors detect and measure changes in their surroundings; they can measure temperature, humidity, chemicals, pressure, proximity, solar radiation, fluid levels, and optical properties. The information gathered from these sensors offers priceless insights into real-world phenomena, facilitating well-informed decision-making and improving efficiency across a range of domains.
The Role of Sensor Data in IoT
Sensor data is essential to IoT because it enables intelligent decision-making and automation. IoT devices can monitor, analyze, and react to changes in their environment in real time by gathering data from various sources. For example, a smart home with proximity, humidity, and temperature sensors can adjust its heating and cooling settings based on occupancy and environmental conditions, maximizing energy efficiency and improving comfort.
In industrial environments, sensors are essential for tracking equipment performance and guaranteeing optimal operation. For example, pressure sensors can identify changes in fluid pressure in pipelines, allowing for predictive maintenance to avert expensive malfunctions, and level sensors can track fluid levels in tanks to enable prompt replenishment and minimize downtime.
There are many kinds of Internet of things sensors. Here are few and most common used IOT sensors:
Temperature Sensors
In the same way that a single inaccurate temperature reading in a factory may spoil a whole batch of food, temperature controls in factories frequently determine what will happen to a product. Temperature sensors serve this purpose by providing us with relevant information about the temperature.
Pressure Sensor
One typical usage for a pressure sensor is to detect changes in the pressure of a gas or liquid and convey that information to any other devices that are linked to it. One common use for a pressure sensor is to test for leaks, which could be caused by wear and tear.
Level Sensor
Level sensors are used in many different sectors, such as oil, cleaning water, food and drink, and waste management systems because they can detect when a trash can or dumpster is full. They can also measure the height of liquids, powders, granules, and other materials.
Sensor for Humidity
Humidity sensors are widely used in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems in homes and businesses; they are used in weather stations to forecast the weather and in hospitals to monitor patient care. Water vapors sensors measure the amount of humidity in a sample of air or a mixture of gases.
Sensors for Chemical
In addition to providing real-time data for detecting chemical leaks in drums or tanks, chemical sensors can benefit any business that uses process lines. These Internet of Things sensors can also guarantee that hazardous materials are handled securely and safely whenever they are used on-site, which would make the factory a safer and more productive place to work.
Key Considerations for Sensor Data in IoT Deployments
Effectively harnessing sensor data in IoT deployments requires careful consideration of several factors:
Data Quality
Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of sensor data is paramount. Regular calibration and maintenance of sensors are essential to maintain data integrity and fidelity.
Data Security
Protecting sensor data against cybersecurity threats is critical. Implementing robust encryption, access controls, and data governance practices safeguards sensitive information from unauthorized access and manipulation.
Scalability
Leveraging scalable data storage and processing options, such as cloud platforms and edge computing...

Operating system updates are necessary for security, bug fixes, and new feature access. iOS is the best in these areas as Apple automatically pushes updates to all compatible devices at the same time. Android updates might take longer, as they depend on the carrier and manufacturer of the device. Regular updates are also important for the longevity and functionality of your device.
Conclusion:
There is no right or wrong answer in the Android vs. iOS debate; in the end, it comes down to personal preferences, priorities, and the features that are most important to you. Whether you prefer the customization of Android or the seamless integration of iOS, knowing the subtle differences between the two operating systems gives you the power to make an informed choice. Take into account your priorities, lifestyle, and preferences to decide which OS will work best for you and ensure a seamless and satisfying smartphone experience.
