#That IBM 7094 singing Daisy Bell is so important to computers becoming what they are today you don't understand#It was one of the first times a computer was used to do something purely for fun#And the song chosen was such a sweet love song#Preserved for eternity as a piece of history when it otherwise would have faded into obscurity over time#And then when vocaloid was developed#A program specifically to make a computer sing#They chose the code name Daisy#The first sound of the past#And then created Hatsune Miku#And gave her a name that translates to 'the first sound of the future'#We wouldn't have Miku today if it wasn't for her grandpa daring to sing for us all back then#EVERYONE SAY THANK YOU TO JOHN KELLY AND CAROL LOCKBAUM AND MAX MATTHEWS RIGHT NOW
