Tomorrow is WING DAY, forget whatever else it was I said. I gotta rip a load of stuck vertices and resculpt some stray incorrect corrective blendshape(s) on the left wing side. And make as many wing alteration blendshapes as I can think of (shorten feathers, mostly). And put in the shrink wings animations, and alternate wing logic in threepoint mode. And then delete all my individual feather blendshapes that make EVERYTHING LAG

I think, in threepoint mode, I'll switch between wings and forelegs primary control based on hands far apart toggling wing control, and hands very close together toggling foreleg control. While in wing mode, you can lift forelegs with rockout rockout. While in foreleg mode, you can grab wings with fists (like for wing hugs)

so apparently there are therians out there crawling around on their damn carpets to feel like they’re quadrupeds in VR, but my avs work best at standing height.

I THINK I could RELATIVELY easily add threepoint and threepoint plus hiptracker modes specifically for crawling around, but not in time for Somna. I’d shrink the gryphon to half-size and attach it to your Chest (instead of your Hips), then use the forefoot pickup legs as extra Sources for the same sort of hindleg logic I’ve got now wrt crossing/uncrossing. If you had no hip tracker, that would be it, save for swapping the BEND/hind.hips Sources to Chest with some sort of offset anticipating the 90 angle from crawling. If you DID have a hip tracker it would just do what it does now but take on an offset of 90…

I guess if I were to put this on the model you’d just abruptly shrink by half if you got down on the floor? Or by whatever factor makes your arms the same length as your legs were before.

Okay I’ve been told that ppl who do this pop up a little to get their fullspeed ingame locomotion back. So I’ll need to make a toggle for this mode, where you turn it on, and if you’re standing, the gryphon does the flight locomotion animations. And if you get on the floor and become crouching, THEN it goes back to walking around.
