“Oh…” Sanji continued to work as he glanced over at his boyfriend, who was definitely pouting. The swordsmen would deny fervently, but it was the truth.

“Were you trying to start a fight?” Sanji asked him, he could put him to work.

“Yah. We haven't had a fight since before Loguetown. You haven't been put for your morning stretches, ethior,”

“Ive been busy trying to get some things done, but if you give me some time, who's on the deck…other than Luffy?” He would not trust Luffy to watch his timer. Their captain would lose it.

“Great, let me make her some tanghulu and a quick cocktail, get the tomato sauce in the canner, set the timer, and ask her to watch my timer, then we can fight till it goes off. “You better or i'll drag you out,” Zoro grabbed handful of jerky as he walked out the door.

"Shy love"

Summary:

Popular doesn't always mean bad, popular kids don't always feel that way.

In the spirit of the 90s where Jimin is a misunderstood popular boy, shy and soft in the inside, basic popular boy on the outside and how one boy, Jungkook, spins his head, confuses him, makes him cry and laugh but makes Jimin become who he really is.

Chapter 1: beginning

 Sleepy eyes stared at the big bathroom mirror as the annoying morning radio programme played in the entire house at 6:50am, the sound mixed with the sound of running tap water. Jimin was blankly staring at his reflection, thinking what should he wear for the day as he lazily brushed his teeth, listening to the female speaker’s voice on the radio and a Backstreet Boys song in the background, he hated it when his favourite songs got interrupted by the speakers. The bathroom was a nice baby blue color, typical bathroom, just it was really luxurious and spacious, it looked expensive.

Many kids, if not all, judged Jimin by the fact that his family had no idea how much money they had, thanks to their nice family business but those were never dirty money. But jimin was the total opposite of a spoiled brat and what most of the people viewed him as. Yes, his behavior was alike the typical popular fuckboy type even though it was obvious it was forced, yes, his looks were godly, and yes, he was every girl’s dream but he only remained being their dream, never reality. There was indeed something really unusual with him even if he acted cocky, flirty and unreachable, the boy had a rather high class look, like all the popular boys and rich kids at school, however he wasn’t entirely like them.

“Coming, mom!”

He yelled from the bathroom seconds after rinsing his mouth and the failed attempt to fix his brown locks. His face was a masterpiece, big, narrow eyes looking like slits, small and cute nose and oh so thick and plump lips, red and so kissable, his hair, his body, even his cute under-average height was hot, he was a ‘living god’ as many of the girls stated, a young man who was the nation’s heartthrob.

“No time for cereal, mom, I’m running late again and I have to pick up Jungkook. “

Jimin said as he ran past his mother who had come to knock on his door and went straight to his room. Mom jeans and oversized white shirt with the nirvana logo, his ultimate favourite band, it was. As he was trying to put everything in his black backpack before going out of the room he looked at the book that Jungkook gave him the previous day.

 That boy. Jungkook.

Jimin droped him off last noon, after school, after they went to the library so Jungkook could show him some books but they didn’t find them, Jimin never complained spending time with him. He was junior too in the same high school jimin went to and he was this well dressed, soft grunge styled and rock lover, shy and tender kid, not that jimin was any different, just his style of talking was a little more cocky and teasing anyways. So, Jimin had to pick him up too on his way to school since last night when Jimin’s brother finally finished talking with his girlfriend, which was always a nightmare,  he phoned Jimin, telling him his dad found the books Jimin was looking for.

“Bye guys!”

Jimin shouted while he was running down the stairs and to his fair blue car that he got for his 17th birthday last year. It had a great radio and cassette player and that was all that mattered. Another awfully attractive thing was jimin driving, the way the denim jacket looked on him complimented with his curly hair and the watch on his wrist he took from his grandpa who passed away two years ago, it was just hot, it was a picture that was enchanting everyone.

His neighborhood was peaceful, occupied with trees and plants along cute houses except his one, it was a villa. With his window rolled down he carefully drove through the narrow streets to Jungkook’s house and there he was, standing on the road. Light brown trousers, striped shirt and round glasses along with his dark and straight hair. Those cute bunny eyes radiating innocence were captivating, magical, it was impossible to resist them.

 “Hop in”

 Jimin told him once he was close enough, elbow rested on the window frame, cool spring breeze brushing through his locks. Jungkook, like a scared bunny that was sensing danger, just walked to the other side and sat on the front seat next to Jimin

“hey”

 He smiled shyly, those thin but cute lips stretching across his face, cheeks squishing his eyes. Jimin could tell he was blushing, he was so shy and felt intimidated by Jimin, being the ‘popular kid’ or the ‘heartthrob’ as he was being labeledeven though Jimin hated it.

 “So um.. I got your books, here” he said and pointed at the few hard cover books he had in his lap. Jimin only smiled and nodded his head.

 “Thanks, Jungkook, I really needed those. When should I return them?”

 He asked, already knowing Jungkook wasn’t going to set a limit.

 “Whenever you want to, I don’t need them anyways”

 Jungkook said and Jimin only smiled. He sped up once they were out of the small neighborhood and headed to their high school.  Jimin took out a pack of Camel and offered the box the Jungkook.

“I don’t smoke, thanks”

 Jungkook said. Jimin just smiled, that was cute too and was a proof of Jungkook’s pureness. The strong flame of jimin’s black lighter met the tip of the cigarette and soon smoke filled the car, it’s only escape was the open window. Jimin noticed that Jungkook was staring at him, at his lips that were exhaling smoke and wrapping around the thin cigarette just to inhale back some more. The staring only made Jimin feel shy, and so small which was usual for him to feel even if he didn’t show it at all. As if jungkook was some strong power that was taking over him. But the feeling was addicting, just like the nicotine, or even more. Having Jungkook show him interest was addicting. The soft rock music played on the radio in the car, not too loud, Jimin hated noise, but enough to make him hear the words of the song and the guitars too, making him smile, so maybe if Jungkook was going to ask why was Jimin smiling he’d have an excuse to cover up the real reason for his smile.

    Loud thump from the car doors closing echoed along the noise of the students talking in the school yard, laughters and yells ripping through the air. Jimin looked around just as he got out of his car to notice a group of young girls, probably juniors, staring at him. He winked at them because that was what his one popular friend once told him to do, because being the popular kid he had to do that, not that he had some kind of purpose or feels in his action. He was being taken as famous, not necessarily a fuck boy since no one had ever seen him with a girl, but he was every girl’s dream boy, all of them were head over heels for Jimin, so he was made to act like it. And it was a burden, he was being made something he wasn’t, but he had to. He  hated parties, he disliked alcohol, he couldn’t stand popular teenagers that were so brainless and judgemental it was pitiful. No, he liked nice and worthy people, people who had so much in their minds, whole kingdoms, knowledge, love and peace purning in their hearts, people who were special and unique, who were cute, outgoing but stood their ground, sociable but shy. He liked rare types of people, and perhaps that was the best description someone could give for Jeon Jungkook.

 “See you on biology”

 Jimin said, it was a shame that it was the only class him and Jungkook had together along with physical education, Jimin’s nightmare.

 “Jimin, can you help me with maths after class?”

 “Um, of course, wait for me in the library”

 Jimin responded, he was quite good in maths, he was smart as jungkook said but jimin preferred to just use ‘good at it’. Both of them headed to their classes, Jimin having girls staring at him as he walked down the corridor, wishing he was some nerd that no one liked, he always thought that life was way better.
