What Makes Dr.BPO Different from Virtual Assistants?

When practices consider outsourcing, virtual assistants (VAs) often seem like a quick fix—but they come with hidden costs, from hiring and training to supervision and reliability concerns. Dr. BPO changes the game with its Managed Services (MS) model, offering a complete, fully managed operational team instead of just a single freelance worker.
Unlike VAs, who may fall sick, quit, or need constant oversight, Dr. BPO guarantees 100% uptime, consistency, and quality through their Seat Model—a flexible system where the right specialist is assigned based on the task at hand. Whether it's billing, scribing, front-desk, or marketing, Dr. BPO's services are delivered by trained professionals working from secure facilities with strict compliance protocols.
With no micromanagement required and full operational coverage, Dr. BPO offers a long-term, scalable, and cost-effective solution for medical practices looking to streamline their workflow and grow without staffing hassles.

AI and Health: New Technologies Paving the Way for Better Treatment
Artificial intelligence (AI) is expanding rapidly in the health sector, and it is revolutionizing our medical system. With the help of AI, new technologies are being developed that are not only helpful in accurately diagnosing diseases but are also playing an important role in personalized treatment and management.
Quick and accurate diagnosis of diseases AI-based tools can now analyze medical imaging data such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs quickly and accurately. This helps doctors to quickly detect complex conditions such as cancer, heart diseases, and neurological problems.
Personalized medicine AI can help create personalized treatment plans for every individual by analyzing genomics and biometrics. This technology ensures that the patient gets the right medicine and the right dose at the right time.
Improved health management AI-based health apps and wearables such as smart watches are now helping people monitor their health condition. These devices regularly track health indicators such as heart rate, blood pressure and sleep quality.
Accelerating medical research The role of AI has become extremely important in the development of new drugs and vaccines. Using AI, scientists can analyze complex data sets and make new medical discoveries faster.
Accessible and affordable healthcare AI technology is helping in delivering affordable and effective healthcare, even in rural and remote areas. Telemedicine and virtual health assistants are bridging the gap between patients and doctors.
Conclusion Artificial intelligence is playing an important role in making healthcare more effective, accurate, and accessible. However, there are challenges such as data security and ethics in the use of AI technology which need to be dealt with. In the coming years, with more advanced and innovative uses of AI, the healthcare landscape may change completely.

First fight - Christmas With You
A/N: Alright here we go, another one from this universe. Let me know if y’all are tired of this series, okay? @ccbsrmsf1 thank you for discussing ideas with me, darling 🤍
Pairing: Tony Stark x Single Mom! Reader
Warning: Bit of angst. This is long-ish.
Christmas With You Masterlist
.
The bed felt cold.
Colder because you were lying alone in it. Tony had slipped out some time after you’d fallen asleep, clearly not wanting to disturb you. You missed waking up next to his warm body all wrapped around you, his soft snores against the back of your neck which he claimed were untrue, you simply missed the man. That was mostly because the man spent a lot of time down in his lab.
Which was an understatement.
You were practically living together now, though it wasn’t official yet; you and Noah spent almost every weekend over at the Tower, dinner and movie nights, picnics in the park, it had been a breezy few months.
But then you realised the more time you spent with Tony, just how much he’d dedicate himself to his work with the Avengers, moreover working on his suits. You tried to not let it get to you, knowing very well the different worlds you came from, but it did.
It was after eleven and you were in no mood to listen to Tony’s excuses, so you decided to go down to the lab and drag him out of there if it came to that. Your eyes fell on the partially open door where Noah should’ve ideally been sleeping after you tucked him in. Concerned, you pushed it open to reveal an empty bed.
Panic set in as you began frantically searching for your son. JARVIS - Tony’s virtual assistant informed you that he was down in the lab with Tony, however that did nothing to quell your anxieties. They weren’t supposed to be up this late, both your boys.
It was only a moment later that you heard a crash immediately followed by loud wail let out by Noah which made you sprint towards the lab. The lab door slid open and your heart dropped to your stomach at the sight.
Shattered glass and what looked like one of Tony’s repulsor’s in Noah’s hand as he lay on the ground, his right hand limp against his side while he bawled.
“Oh God! Noah! What happened?”
Sinking next to him, you didn’t know what to think as upon seeing you, Noah immediately moved to hug you. Tony was by your side, looking equally alarmed with a flash of guilt on his face as he asked JARVIS for an analysis.
It appears Master Noah Y/L/N’s wrist is fractured.
JARVIS’s voice sounded through the room, breaking your heart further. Noah shivered as sobs wracked through his little body, making Tony promptly retrieve a blanket and carefully wrap it around him.
“Tony!” Your voice trembled as you picked Noah up, trying to calm him down.
“We’ll take him to the emergency room, come on.” Tony gave your shoulder a squeeze before leading you out to the elevators.
Lucky that the Tower housed an infirmary and was only a few floors down, you whispered words of comfort to your son who was now whimpering, his little face tucked in your neck.
"How'd this even happen? Why was he in the lab?" you asked Tony, as the elevator doors opened, he'd kept a hand on your back, reassuring you the whole way but he hadn't said much.
"I um—I don't-"
Right as he was about to tell you the truth, a nurse beckoned you over to take a look at Noah. Hurrying in, you gently placed him on the bed before a friendly looking doctor entered. Tony stood beside you, mind in a turmoil about how to tell you the truth, knowing you'd probably hate him forever once you knew.
"Noah, the doctor's going to take a look at your arm now, okay?"
"No pointy needle!" Noah cried before tears gathered in his eyes once again at the possibility of an injection. Rubbing his back gently, you reassured there wouldn't be a needle anywhere near him. He insisted on sitting in your lap while the doctor examined his wrist, letting you know he'd need an x-ray.
"Noah, can you tell me how this happened please?" the doctor asked, smiling at your son who's eyes remained downcast, like he'd been caught.
"I went to Mr. Stark's lab and—and I found the Iron Man hand but it fly, Mama and I fell. I'm sorry." he murmured, looking up at you to gauge how upset you looked, but you were only worried for him.
"And where were you?" You turned to Tony, who similar to Noah had his head hung, staring at his feet that were tapping against the tiled floor.
"I didn't know he was in there. I'm sorry, Y/N." he said quietly, making your stomach twist as his words sunk in.
"You're sorry?" you repeated, right before the doctor awkwardly cleared his throat, suggesting an x-ray for Noah in the other room.
Without another glance at the man, you carried your son away to have his x-ray taken. Your mind swum with a mix of emotions, anger, disappointment and fear being at the forefront. Noah’s tears subsided as the doctor made conversation with him, clearly good with kids as he managed to distract him enough. He even brought out a few options for his cast that he’d have to wear until his wrist healed.
Noah being Noah obviously chose a superhero one, sitting still like a good boy while the doctor did his thing. The doctor reassured you he’d be fine in about six to eight week’s time, that kids heal faster because of their growth hormones. You even saw Noah crack a smile when he brought out a lollipop for him for being the best patient.
The elevator ride up to the penthouse was silent, Tony remained by your side, waiting for the inevitable but stayed quiet for Noah’s sake. You kissed Noah’s forehead after tucking him in your bed that you shared with Tony, letting a stray tear escape. For three years it had just been you and him, you couldn’t imagine what life was like before him. The thought of something terrible happening to him filled you with such dread.
“Noah, promise me you won’t sneak away like that again.”
“Promise, Mama.” He whispered, nodding his head earnestly.
“You know you really scared me. Mr. Stark’s lab is not safe for a kid, we’ve told you that, haven’t we?”
He nodded before turning into your body and making himself smaller, whispering a sorry which sounded heavy with a lisp, something that happened when he was upset or had been crying.
He was often well beyond his age some days but then days like these made you realise he was just three, a curious kid would eventually end up hurting himself if left unattended.
Tony watched you put Noah to bed, his guilty conscience eating away at him as you finally stood and closed the door behind you, leaving a crack open.
“Look, Y/N, I’m so—” he began, only for you to put your hand up to silence him.
“You didn’t hear him come in? Or you let him in and left him around your equipment all alone? Tell me, Tony. I need to know.”
Tony refused to meet your eyes, shoving his hands in his pockets as he took in a breath, ready to come clean.
“I—I didn’t know how he managed to sneak in, Y/N. I didn’t. By the time I found him he’d gotten hold of the repulsor already.”
You took in sharp breath, pacing around before him, trying to calm yourself.
“How do you not hear a three year old walk into your lab? You had that stupid music blasting, didn’t you? Tony, you weren’t supposed to be down there so late, neither was Noah, and yet somehow—”
“I couldn’t sleep, Y/N! I didn’t know he’d be awake. He’s not my son, he—I. I didn’t mean it like that. Shit.” Tony instantly regretted his words, rubbing a hand down his face watching those hurtful words take effect as your face fell.
“You’re right. He’s not your son, he’s mine. It’s just been me and him all this time. We’re just living here while you continue to live your life just the way you used to. Not caring about anybody else.”
There it was again. Silence.
Someone who’d usually keep his lab locked with a code, Tony had left it open thinking nobody at that hour would disturb him; even if they did, it would be you calling him back to bed. It was just a series of mishaps after that and he really was to be blamed here. He would never intentionally hurt you or your son. You two were a part of him now, a part he wanted to protect so fiercely. And yet somehow the exact opposite had happened.
“I think I should go home.” You spoke after a while, taking Tony by surprise at how defeated you sounded.
“What? Please Y/N, it’s late.” He tried but you shook your head, wrapping your arms around yourself tightly.
“We wouldn’t want to be an inconvenience to you and your work.”
“You could never. Both of you. Sweetheart, please—”
“It could’ve been so much worse, Tony! What if he’d—” you couldn’t even bring yourself to finish the sentence. Tears streamed down your face at the thought of losing your son. Tony wanted to do nothing but gather you in his arms and say how sorry he was for fucking up, yet he couldn’t.
“Don’t fight.”
A little whisper came from behind you as Noah stood by the door of your bedroom, rubbing sleep from his eyes with his one good hand. Turning around, you knelt before your son, taking his hand and kissing the back of it.
“I’m so sorry I woke you, baby. Mama was just worried. Do you want to go home?” Lifting him up in your arms, you saw concern in his eyes as he looked between you and Tony.
“I okay, Mama. See? I don’t cry. Please don’t fight.” He repeated himself, holding his sling-clad arm up for you as if to show it didn’t hurt him anymore.
“I can drive you back tomorrow, if you want. But it's late, Y/N. please stay.” Tony murmured, keeping his distance. Merely nodding in agreement, you went back in the bedroom and lay back down with your son, hugging him close to your body for comfort. Comfort that you both needed.
“Good night.”
You heard Tony, he’d disappeared before you could ask where he was going. Shutting your eyes, you let out a sigh, wondering how this day had turned so sour.
.
Back home, Noah knew something was wrong with how silent you had been. And how Tony who would usually spend time with him, playing and chatting, had left without a word. He also noticed you had not kissed Tony before he left.
Days turned to weeks and you heard little to nothing from Tony. His actions had angered you and you were starting to question everything. It was your own mind against you and you thought of just calling Tony up and clearing things. You couldn't take the silence anymore.
That was the plan, apparently the same thing went through your boyfriend's mind too because one Sunday afternoon, your doorbell rang and there he was, holding a bouquet of your favourite flowers and a look of apprehension.
"Hi."
"Hi."
"May I come in?" Tony shuffled on his feet, his heart jumping with hope as you nodded and opened the door for him. Noah sat on the couch watching the two of you warily, unsure if he should be happy to see his favourite superhero after a quiet few days.
"How are you, kid?" he smiled at Noah, a flash of regret in his eyes as Noah held up his cast-covered arm to show he was fine. He had healed fast, much to your relief.
"I am strong, Mr. Stark. Look! No hurt!” he shared enthusiastically before going back to his cartoons.
“You’re certainly stronger than I am, champ.”
You took Tony's hand and led him to the kitchen, feeling reassured with his presence already. You had missed him terribly. Not knowing what came over you, you wrapped your arms around him and hugged him tight, throwing him off for a second before he reciprocated and buried his face in your hair, inhaling deeply.
“I’m sorry. I just, I missed you, Tony.” You murmured, flushed at your own impulse.
“Please don’t be. I’ve missed you too, so much.”
Tony’s words made you smile, not giving you a chance of reply, he grabbed both your hands in his and stepped closer.
“Honey, I am so sorry for what happened, I won’t ever be able to forgive myself for it. I swear to you I’d do whatever it takes to make it up to you. Noah is precious to me, both of you are. Please forgive me?” His big brown eyes bore into yours as he held your hands against his chest.
“I’m sorry too, Tony. Can’t blame you entirely for what happened. Sometimes I forget I can’t control everything that boy does, he’s been such good kid to bring up, I wonder how he’s only three, but then incidents like these remind me, you know?”
“And to say I’m protective of him would be an understatement of the century. I would die before I let anything happen to him.” You chuckled, glancing back at your son who was now curiously listening to your conversation, cartoon abandoned.
Tony didn’t say it out loud but in his head he’d reciprocated those feelings for the two of you. He would do everything in his power to protect you both, and had reached a point in the relationship where he couldn’t picture his life without you in it.
“We okay?” Noah piped up, making you both laugh and assure your too-wise-for-his-age son that everything was fine.
Tony smiled with fondness and love in his eyes, his heart threatening to beat out of his chest thanks to how full it felt. He’d never realised how much he needed this until now, the beautiful world of yours, a family, his family.
“So I guess what I’m trying to say is, we’re okay. And please put a child lock on that goddamn door of your lab.” You laughed, closing your eyes when Tony reached out to press a soft kiss against your temple.
“I’ll give you the codes. You’re welcome to drag me out of there any time. I know I haven’t been around much. And I’m sorry about that. I promise I’ll be better.” Tony said earnestly. You eased his frown-lines by standing up on your toes to kiss his forehead.
“Guess you have a lot of make up for then, Mr. Stark.”

You know, it's really notable to me how few of the conspiracy minded people who keep talking about "following the money" actually seem to be capable of doing that. Time for a LONG RANT (TM).
Think about it, where is the money in health care? Sure, the pharmaceutical industry makes $1.6 trillion globally per year, but do you know how much "alternative" medicine makes? The global "wellness" industry, which includes food and nutrition, wellness and spas, and general fitness, many of the industries promoted as alternatives by the people who oppose the products of the pharmaceutical industry, makes $6.8 trillion. Granted, this is a pretty broad category which can include some more standard medical things in it, but if even a quarter of this category is the more conspiratorial "alternate medicine", that would still make it bigger than "Big Pharma".
There's also been a big effort to cast climate scientists as being in it for the money, but how much money is there really? The average salary for an Assistant Professor, the basic position you'll have if you're doing research on climate science, is just under $100k per year. However, if you have a doctorate in that kind of a field, you should know that you can earn significantly more if you just work directly for the industry. In fact, most jobs in the oil and gas industry pay significantly better than similar jobs outside the industry. I would also point out that one job that pays even more than science in general is being an executive for the oil industry. Overall, the market for crude oil is over $2 trillion globally, the market for coal is over $650 billion globally, and the market for natural gas is over $1.25 trillion globally. Meanwhile, climate research funding is hard to track because it's so decentralized, but the most comprehensive study I can find estimated in 2020 that that funding had averaged less than $20 billion per year since 1950. In fact, even if all of that funding in the last 70 years had been concentrated into a single year, it would barely be more than the natural gas industry alone makes in a single year.
The same is true when we look at people, let's take a look at the president beloved by conspiracy theorists, Donald Trump, and his 2020 opponent, Joe Biden. Between 2020 and 2024, Biden's net worth increased from $8 million to $10 million, just slightly more than the sum total of his presidential salary over those 4 years. As for Donald Trump, it's incredibly hard to get a true value of his net worth or income since his business is privately held and Trump infamously releases as little information about his finances as possible, but let's take a look at one thing we do have good information on, the $TRUMP meme-coin. The coin was released in January 17th, 2025, just 3 days before Trump took office for a second term. 80% of the virtual coins were held by Trump himself while 20% were released for sale. In addition, this coin can only be bought or sold through companies owned directly by Trump himself which then collect fees on those sales. So far the sale of the 20% of coins that have been sold so far have brought in at least $350 million between the coins themselves and the fees collected.
However, I should note that this only one way that Trump benefits from this. Because the coins have speculative value based on the current trading price, the 80% of coins that Trump retains represent net wealth for him. In other words, someone can directly put money in his pocket by buying the coin. Not only does that person pay him for the coin, they also pay him a fee in the process and the purchase itself raises the price of other coins. The day after it launched, the 80% of coins that Trump owns had a speculative value of approximately $20 billion. And that's only one of Trump's dozens or even hundreds of business ventures that open paths for people to give him money.
So why are conspiracy people constantly thinking that the side with less money is swimming in it? Simple, because they are being told that by the people with money and they haven't actually done the work themselves to see where the money actually goes. This isn't conspiracy thinking here, opponents of mainstream medicine such as RFK Jr., the fossil fuel industry, and Donald Trump himself have all directly accused their opponents of profiting from their work while neglecting to mention any income on their own side of the issue. In fact, the fossil fuel industry in particular was recently exposed as having run a multi-decade campaign to encourage conspiracy thinking on climate issues similar to the tobacco industry's earlier campaign against public health information about their own product.
In this light, I especially need to emphasize yet again that conspiracy theories aren't about facts, they're about an emotional narrative of heroically resisting against impossible odds. The people shouting "follow the money" haven't done so themselves and, if you show them the data, they'll either deny it, ignore it, or find another reason to believe what they want/need to believe until you address the root emotional reasons for their conspiracy theorizing.
So what's the value of going through this if conspiracy theorists won't believe it anyways? Because there's a lot of people out there who believe this who aren't conspiracy theorists. I get it, walking a conspiracy theorist back to the real world is really hard and may not always be possible, but we're at the point now where conspiracy ideas are discussed and aired in the mainstream and there are lots of people who are exposed to them and may even believe them who are willing to listen to actual evidence. We owe it to them not to just write them off, but to present evidence to anyone who parrots this particular argument and see if they're amenable to listening.
Meanwhile, your job in any kind of debate like this is simple, throw their line back at them; tell them to follow the money. In the best case scenario, they'll do it, either with you or later, and figure out the reality of the situation. At worst, you'll at least shut them up for a minute or two, and won't that silence be nice?

I have a finalized prompt idea for my Stobotnik AI AU and now just trying to think of an actual plot that uses the idea? I really wanna do more with it...
AU info and Sonic 3 spoilers below cut.
The whole concept is that while going through the Doctor's belongings after his death, to try to find a sense of direction, Stone discovers a years old, abandoned AI copy of Eggman that the doctor had been working on as a virtual assistant shortly before Stone was hired. What Stone doesn't know is that the AI is based off of actual scans of Eggman's brain from the era he was building it, effectively making a version of the Doctor that was locked in time about 2 to 3 years before Sonic 1. It also has pre-programmed restraining bolts effecting its behavior, to make it more agreeable and "assistant like". (Ivo is enough of a narcissist to try to make an assistant version of himself, but is also self aware enough to know he's make an AWFUL assistant without some... Tweaks. Is this kinda unethical considering it's a sentient AI copy of himself? Probably? Does he care? No! It's a version of him! If anyone would understand his motivations, it would be him after all.) The AI is called AIVOs, or "Artificially Intelligent Virtual Operating System", pronounced either "Eye-voss" or "Ivo", depending on user preference.
Stone activates the AI and rapidly becomes obsessed with it, refusing to move on from his grief now that he has a new version of the Doctor. (Also the grief of losing a loved one PLUS suddenly having a version of said VERY AGGRESSIVE loved one thats kinda... artificially forced to be subservient REALLY fucks with him and he likes that AIVOs can't really say no to him a lot more than he should. He's very aware he's not handling his grief in a healthy way and... doesn't care.) AIVOs eggs him on more and more, goading him into finishing the Doctor's old projects and encouraging his new ideas, all under the guise of getting revenge- prompting the creation of Metal Sonic and slowly transforming him into the next Eggman.
#there are some role swap elements here definitely#and I like that#Stone deserves to go full villain mode. he deserves to have his own lil schemes. as a treat.#stobotnik#stobotnik ai au#sonic 3#sth#sonic the hedgehog#agent stone#dr robotnik#eggman

my new medication is an injectable so i needed to order it from a cvs speciality pharmacy meaning it needed pre-authorization from my insurance company. after my doctor’s office received that, the speciality pharmacy called me to actually put in the order, which involved painstakingly rehashing my medication list and diagnosis. at the end of this call, the representative realized my insurance actually covered this drug from a different manufacturer, so i was transferred to a different representative, who proceeded to rehash my medication list and diagnosis so she could put in my order.
a week later instead of ordering my meds they called to get pre-authorization again(?) which took another week. THEN cvs speciality pharmacy called me to (bless them) say “did you know your copay for this medication is $250 USD?” and i said no i did not know my copay was $250 USD. she explains that it’s bc this is a new med for me and i said that’s weird, i was on this medication many years ago. there’s evidently no record of this so i let it go and they gave me the number for the medication’s copay assistance.
i then called the number and through a fairly painless process obtained a virtual card for copay assistance. i then called the speciality pharmacy back to give them that virtual card. my copay is now $0 USD! the representative commiserated with my beleaguered sigh of relief. after relaying my medication list and diagnosis for a third time, she ordered my meds, only to realize the system thought it was too early for a refill. i never received any medication so she checked and it turns out my ORIGINAL ORDER was still there so she cancelled that one and my second one went through. i should get my meds next week
anyway . all that over $250 dollars when the insurance industry makes billions putting sick people into debt every day. for a medication i need to save my joints from eroding
whatever!

I know this is not my usual post, but I need to speak up and defend my man Robert Liston.
Celebrated surgeon of early 19th century Britain who not only improved on surgical techniques (Liston knives are used for amputation to this day) but also performed one of the first operations using ether as an anesthetic and thus helped popularize its use.
Today however he's mostly remembered for outlandish incidents, which have little to none actual historical basis.
Every time I hear/read informational content that mentions him as the guy that killed three people during an operation (tm), I internally die a little.
There are no primary sources for the 300 % mortality incident. If such a thing truly did happen, it would certainly have been mentioned, at least by some medical journals at the time. The historian Dr. Michael Brown did a thorough deep-dive on the claim:
[..] account of an apocryphal operation in which his obsession with speed supposedly led to the deaths of the patient, an assistant, and a bystander are taken, virtually word for word, from a book written by the anaesthetist and Doctor in the House author Richard Gordon (1921 - 2017). This book, Great Medical Disasters (1983), which contains a brief three-page sketch of the man, is the source of much modern Liston folklore.
-Emotions and Surgery in Britain, 1792-1912
In the few sources that are given for this 1983 book, there are no mentions of the 300% mortality operation. It appears that Gordon pulled the story out of his ass made it up or decided to write down an unsubstantiated claim he must have heard somewhere.
The sources that Gordon actually does mention in his book, which primarily talk of Liston's exaggerated showmanship (such him commanding the spectators to time him before an operation) were also written in the early 20th century. They appear to have been greatly exaggerated and do not seem to line up much with actual accounts of the time.
Now, I am not saying that Liston was a perfect man, far from it. But this idea that he was carelessly speedrunning surgeries and cutting people left and right is not really accurate
(If anyone's interested in learning more, here's the link to an interview with Dr. Michael Brown, where he goes a bit more in depth about the entire thing)
#stop slandering my man😔#call me the n.1 robert liston defender#if there are no liston defenders im dead#jokes aside#i really don't wanna be the “actuallyyyy” guy and ruin ppls fun#i have made more than enough “time me gentlemen” jokes myself#however it annoys me how many “reputable” sources treat the entire thing as fact#to the point where his entire legacy has become the 300% mortality guy#this also ties in with the view that ppl today have of pre-anesthetic and -antiseptic surgeons#as emotionless and inhumane butchers#who cared little about their patients#because that is very much not true#thank you for coming to my ted talk#robert liston#medical history#history of medicine#victorian era#history

I am E A T I N G the accidental preganancy trope like good soup 👏 I’m so curious how that would be for more “hardass” characters who are hyper-focused/hyperfixated on their life and goals like:
-Azul, Jade to an extent, Rollo, Riddle, Vil
(Honorable mentions: Leona, Malleus, Jamil, Idia, and Deuce)
Like they could be doing SO well in their lives and are successful businessmen, mafia bosses, doctors, priests, etc etc lol (or are starting their young adult years!!!) and a baby is just SO OUT OF LEFT FIELD I LOVE IT lol
:o !!!! I think most of them on the list would take responsibility by marrying you or offering some form of assistance and support, whether monetary, emotional, physical (or all and more).
Rollo is a man of tradition, so naturally his first thought is to assume responsibility by marrying you. I think Riddle might think somewhere along the same lines because rules are so engrained into his being, and knowing how his mother is she likely views accidental pregnancies with such hateful scorn. Riddle thinks he's breaking a rule by not marrying you and he panics a little as he frets over how he'll tell his mother of this because it completely ruins her arranged marriage plans for him. But then it's almost a blessing in disguise because it gives Riddle the chance to make more choices for himself and have more autonomy over his personal life and relationships.
Malleus and Deuce are the characters who are the most thrilled with the news. They're both so in love with you, so an accidental pregnancy doesn't even feel like an accident to them because of how accepting of it they are! :D in Deuce's case, he looks so amazed as he asks to feel your belly (regardless of whether you're already showing or not) and he looks so excited. Does this mean he's going to be a dad now? It totally means that, right?! Omg he can't wait to tell his mama!!!!! And Malleus is so overjoyed. Very happy dragon hours. >w< he just radiates ebullience, but no one can truly tell because his expressions are often misread. But Lilia knows and he's very happy for you and Malleus.
Knowing Azul, he finds some way to work a child into his life. He's always making plans for the future, and while some aspects of these plans may be set in stone he can make changes when necessary. Maybe he's not entirely pleased because he's so worried and anxious, but then it hits him that he's going to be a father and ohhhh he's so soft. T^T I think Vil is much the same when it comes to his future. He's also highly determined and won't settle for less. For him a child is a surprise. He may not have planned to become a parent at this stage in his life, but he isn't complaining. Vil doesn't care what the media will say. He'll do his best to shield you from them so you can have a healthy, happy pregnancy and carry to term. He is so supportive!!!! Whatever you need or want, he'll get it for you.
Idia panics. T_T oh, he is so not ready. So unprepared. Filled to the brim with anxiety. What do you mean he's going to be a DAD????? That feels so impossible to fathom for him. He's just a gamer (and super intelligent tech genius who is renowned for his accomplishments, but that's besides the point). >_< you can't expect him to be S-tier at parenting when the only thing he's ever raised in his life are high-scores and virtual pets. ;;;; he's putty in your hands. You can do whatever you want; it's your body, so he won't force you to do something you don't want to do. If you do decide to keep the baby, he's poring over reputable sources online in an effort to understand how any of this works. He doesn't want to tell his parents because he knows how much they'll fawn and how eccentric they can be. Mama Shroud will share all sorts of stories from her time when she was pregnant; if you ever need anything, the Shrouds provide! You're set for life. And Ortho's excited to welcome another member into the family!!!
Leona has to warm up to the idea because kids have never been his priority. He takes responsibility; he's not going to be a scumbag or a deadbeat. Absolutely not. And he provides more than enough for you. If his brother's wife thought he was mistreating you, he'd never hear the end of it. But also Leona would never dream of mistreating you. Sure, the news is a bit of a shock at first and he's not too keen about raising a child with you, but that's just life. It's always going to be shocking when you least expect it. He may not be fond of it in the beginning, but when those feelings hit and he realizes he's a father and he's bonding more with you and feeling the baby kick and tumble around inside; it's genuinely so soft and sweet,,,, yeah, maybe this isn't so bad...
Jade........ he lives for surprises like this. To say he's pleased is an understatement. He is brimming with excitement and he wants to tell everyone and no one all at once. This is such a pleasant surprise! He cannot stop grinning because the two of you share such a wonderful secret now and he's going to keep it from everyone for as long as he can just so he can see them get shocked. You're probably in on it, too. >:) the two of you are so devious. I think he's the most relaxed with an accidental pregnancy, and his composed attitude definitely eases some of your initial fears. You're so relieved he's not upset, but then how could he ever be upset? You've created life together and he loves you. Oh, did you not know about that? :3c like news of your pregnancy, Jade's confession is just as sudden and shocking. (The two of you have lots of fun gaslighting Floyd when he visits and starts to take note of the subtle changes to you, which you both insist nothing has changed. It's all in good fun. Floyd's going to kick Jade's ass after the truth comes to light. How dare he not tell him he's having a baby with Shrimpy!!!!! That conceited asshole!!!)

Aaron Glantz at The Guardian:
Senior officials at the US Department of Veterans Affairs have ordered that VA physicians and scientists not publish in medical journals or speak with the public without first seeking clearance from political appointees of Donald Trump, the Guardian has learned. The edict, laid down in emails on Friday by Curt Cashour, the VA’s assistant secretary for public and intergovernmental affairs, and John Bartrum, a senior adviser to VA secretary Doug Collins, came hours after the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine published a perspective co-authored by two pulmonologists who work for the VA in Texas. “We have guidance for this,” wrote Cashour, a former Republican congressional aide and campaign consultant, attaching the journal article. “These people did not follow it.” The article warned that cancelled contracts, layoffs and a planned staff reduction of 80,000 employees in the nation’s largest integrated healthcare system jeopardizes the health of a million veterans seeking help for conditions linked to toxic exposure – ranging from Vietnam veterans exposed to Agent Orange to veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan who developed cancer after being exposed to smoke from piles of flaming toxic waste. “As pulmonologists in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), we have been seeing increasing numbers of veterans with chronic bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, and other respiratory conditions,” doctors Pavan Ganapathiraju and Rebecca Traylor wrote. The authors, who practice at the VA in Austin, Texas, noted that in 2022 Congress dramatically expanded the number of medical conditions presumed to be linked to military service. “But legislation doesn’t care for patients, people do,” they wrote. The article sparked an immediate rebuke from Trump’s political appointees, according to internal emails obtained by the Guardian. “We have noticed a number of academic articles and press articles recently,” Bartrum wrote, attaching a copy of the journal article. “Please remind the field and academic community that they need to follow the VA policy.”
Cashour, the assistant secretary, wrote that approval for publication in national media was delegated to his office. Local and regional directors were to inform Washington “as soon as possible” when situations exist “that have the potential for negative national exposure”. In an email statement, the VA press secretary Peter Kasperowicz said the agency’s policy on publications and public comments “simply requires VA employees to properly coordinate with public affairs staff prior to speaking with the media. Virtually every organization both inside and outside government has similar policies.” The policy “has been in place for several years across both Democrat and Republican administrations”, he said. Ganapathiraju told the Guardian that the article was in full compliance with the VA regulations, which state that employees are encouraged to publish in “peer-reviewed, professional or scholarly journals”. Coordination with public affairs officers is encouraged, but not required, when sharing personal or academic opinions, the rules say.
TACO Trump Regime censorship in action: Veterans Affairs (VA) physicians and scientists are not to publish in journals or speak with the public without first seeking clearance from Trump’s political appointees.

Designs for Sonic Prime Boscage Maze versions of Sonic and Shadow! (Once again can't be bothered fully shading these...)
So as said in the previous post Dr Nightshade is a scientist studying the mutated mega jungle in hopes of restoring the world back to how it used to be. Sunny is his assistant. Both of them are cyborgs.
With Nightshade his cybernetics are a lot more subtle, being genetically engineered in combination with his implants made the integration of technology and organic parts much more seamless. Tried to make a sorta circuit board pattern on his limbs instead of his usual stripes, but not sure how well that's working out tho. He usually wears clothes, mostly due to having been raised by humans and their sensibilities around clothing. Tho he often forgoes shirts altogether as he doesn't like the way they feel against his chest fluff.
Nightshade is largely a hermit and a shut in, preferring to stay as far away from other people as possible. He never really formed many relationships outside of Maria, and once she was gone he began to distance himself from people more and more. Sunny was recommended to him by a respected colleague, and managed to worm his way into his lab and his life out of sheer stubbornness and a overly positive attitude.
When Sunny was revived from stasis, he found the world to be a very different place. He has no idea, nor any feasible way of finding out if his friends and family survived like he did, if they were also put in stasis or if they haven't already been woken up. Still he managed to find purpose in this strange new world, and carve out something of a home for himself in the form of Dr Nightshade and their robot assistants too!
Sunny performs most of the field work, the doctor insisting he wear a protective suit whenever he goes out. (Which unintentionally makes him look as tho he is fully robotic.) And tho his cybernetics might be more obvious (maybe a bit too chunky? I dunno) they perform almost exactly the same as his real limbs did, so he can still move at super sonic speeds. Sunny had been studying botany before the apocalypse, and having grown up in a concrete jungle with virtually no natural green to speak of, well, being surrounded by trees and plants of all different kinds is very exciting for him. Cybernetics were also extremely common pre-apocalypse, so meeting those without any is also something of a novelty for him too.

Enigma// ch 31
anakin x reader
A/N: once again i’m v sorry (i feel like i have to say this every time i post nowadays) but i just wanna thank you all for your continued support- it means the world to me :)
Finally, a light at the end of the tunnel
warnings: cursing, disabled character, insecurity
___________________________
The comforting aroma of Anakin’s gray keurig filled the flat; both of you had gotten up early for different reasons.
You were starting your classes again- thankfully you were able to switch to finishing out the year virtually after you explained your situation to the academic dean.
Anakin had to get up because he was interviewing part-time caretakers for himself (not that he even wanted one).
Since you were at home too, you listened in on the questions he asked and his attitude towards the workers, just in case you needed to step in.
“No I don’t need assistance with everything- I’m not fucking helpless” Anakin huffed in annoyance at the younger caretaker on the screen; they couldn’t have been much older than yourself.
She had been speaking to him a bit condescendingly though, but still-he needed to keep his temper in check.
“Ani” you called in a hushed tone.
His blue eyes observed your expression and he sighed, “My apologies- it's been a long few weeks”.
The interview concluded not long after and Anakin frustratingly shut his laptop before burying his face in his stiff hands. “Fuuck… This is annoying” he groaned as you waltzed over to the counter and placed an assuring hand on his back.
“I know Ani, but it's a necessity right now”
The past few days had been full of Anakin being his normal prickly self and scaring away or offending possible candidates- it was becoming exhausting to have to moderate his interviews but you knew this was also not something he was very comfortable with.
He leaned into you and you placed a comforting arm around his broad shoulders. He breathed in a sigh before turning his face to press a delicate kiss into your side.
“Thank you for everything sweetheart- I know I’m a lot, but I really am trying for us” he said as you ran your fingers through his fluffy hair.
You placed a kiss to the back of his head and rubbed his back soothingly, “I know, Ani”.
_______________________________________
Anakin’s heart drummed against his ribcage as he sat in the oh-so familiar hospital grade recliner chair. But he wasn’t here for himself (for the first time in a long time) instead, he was here to finally meet his children.
Enough time had passed that he was strong enough to see them and possibly hold them; he’d been waiting for this moment ever since he knew they made it.
He- Anakin Skywalker- was a father. Not just of one, but two!
He remembered the day the doctor told him and Padme it was nearly impossible- he could still feel his heart shattering; he had always been a passionate lover and wanted to create life with whomever he decided to love. And now his dreams were a reality; he created two little angels with you.
Anxiously, he bounced his leg as he tried to calm his breathing. What if he wasn’t suited for this? What if they didn’t get along with him? What if-
Suddenly, your hand grounded him; he turned to see your smiling face, “It’s all going to be ok Ani. I promise”.
Nothing could soothe his worries like your sweet voice; he nodded and pressed a kiss to your lips. Not long after, the door opened and the nurse wheeled in a cart holding the twins into the small room.
“And here are the little ones now,” she smiled.
Anakin sat straight up in his seat (or as straight as he could) and his heart began to race. This was real- his children were right in front of him.
The twins had been doing well and were finally off of the oxygen machine. The boy’s light hair was slowly growing in, whereas the girl already had a full head of soft, wispy, brown hair. They were both very small for their age, but were at least consuming more nutrients on the daily than before.
They were beautiful.
The short woman rolled the cart in front of the chair Anakin was sitting in and leaned the chair backwards so that he was almost lying down. He looked towards you with nervous eyes as the nurse began to pick up the girl.
You placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder; “It’s alright Ani”
He nodded and focused his attention onto his baby girl. She looked so small as she was handed to him; as gently as he could, he maneuvered his inflexible arms to cradle her tiny body.
He bit the inside of his lip in as he anticipated her uncomfortable cries from the stiff sensation of his appendages- but they never came.
Anakin watched in awe as his baby yawned in his hold; he was overjoyed- for a few months now, he had worried his disabilities would get in the way of his ability to interact with and raise the kids, but maybe he had been overthinking.
She opened and closed her tiny hand as she nuzzled closer to Anakin’s chest; you smiled at the endearing moment and picked up your son.
“Would you like to hold both of them?” the nurse asked.
Anakin immediately nodded.
“Alright” the nurse chuckled, “We should probably set you back so they can rest on your chest- that might be more comfortable for you”.
Anakin looked to you for approval to which you giggled lightly, “go ahead baby”.
He looked at his daughter before looking ot the nurse as she reached out to pick her up before lying the bed back. Once he was laid back you placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, “do you want to take your arms off Ani? So you can feel the babies”
His eyes widened and he breathed out a small “yes”; he had never considered that- how had he not?
Of course he wanted to hold his children with his own arms.
You leaned down and helped him remove his prosthetics before placing them gently down in his wheelchair.
“Alright Mr. Skywalker-” the nurse started as she placed the girl back down on his left side and then the boy on his right.
The twins were still so small that the both of them still didnt cover the expanse of Anakin’s chest. He took his longer arm and ran it over each of their small backs as they wriggled closer to him.
Anakin was so enraptured by his children he didn’t even notice the nurse had left the room; his whole being was trained on the miracles in front of him… He felt his eyes begin to water as he inhaled deeply.
How could he have made something so precious?
He looked at you with a grateful expression and managed “thank you”. Before he looked back down and began to weep.
“For what Ani?” you asked.
“Thank you for giving me a chance… for giving me a family” his tears continued to pour from his beautiful eyes.
He was always such a pretty crier, but you felt your heart tug; you knew Anakin felt that he didn’t deserve this- that he didn’t deserve happiness- and that broke your heart.
Thankfully you were here to assure him that he deserved everything he had; you leaned down to his side and wrapped a hand around his head and placed the other over your babies on his chest before pulling him in to kiss his temple.
“Thank you for making me a mother, Anakin. And thank you for loving me when I thought no one could”.
“Always” he choked out before turning his face towards yours before mapping out every inch of your radiant face.
You were an angel sent to save him… his angel.
