I’m sad they made Susan a white woman ngl 🥲 the cartoon already gave her an unnecessary nose job but at least she kept her skin tone and hair.. Here she’s unrecognizable.. I know it’s a detail but many people thought Susan was North African ( edit : I’m seeing middle eastern too! ) coded which is not a common thing in children’s media :( plus the comic will be released in France where there’s lots of MENA kids who would’ve been happy seeing it but oh well

Still confused as to why we got this taranee

But not this one from the concept art I think this one would have translated better for her as a character even if they had changed her personality song it would have still felt closer to the OG will doesn't look that different from her original counterpart Cornelia doesn't look that different and neither does Irma if you think about it

It's just another reason I can't really stand the reboots and I'm really not looking forward to the next one that's coming out I believe it's supposed to be the last book I'm honestly hoping that these books just don't do well I know it's kind of wrong to wish a book doesn't do well when people are putting time and effort into it and I'm sure there are some people and kids who are finding these real books for the series and they're loving them and even some fans from the OG series who probably love these but I don't know I wish they could have just made a different show and use the w.i.t.c.h. I peed it maybe make some more comics link to the original series I was talking about this with

Someone on Reddit and they had mentioned how they wished that we had got some more comics that brought back some of the original characters that we didn't see who were around a lot in the beginning of the story like Martin Nathaniel we don't know what happened with Eric oruba didn't get to come back I'm surprised elyon even showed up at the end of the comic I think at the last minute somebody remembered her and I only have to add her to the end since the story started out with her there are a lot of characters we just didn't really see a lot of especially when the story took more of a what's it called a lesson of the week type of story

pattern when the girls were on that ugly pink school bus where they were teaching magic to people which is stupid I still don't like that story or to this day there's a woman I watch on YouTube who's covering the comics and so far she's gotten up to around Arc 6 or 7 and I remember I hated these arcs cuz that's when the story started to suck for me a lot of stuff that happened after the Astro drops got away and then the Oracle got kicked off the council a lot of stuff after that in the story suck there were still some good moments in the comics

and I don't even mind the new power ark matt begin from kandrakar is still bs and after everything that happened with Cedric and the book or whatever or maybe I'm getting some arcs mixed up cuz I didn't really like that part with the book and they have to go into the book to save mad a lot of stuff that happened after the new power art I didn't really like that either I admit I am just complaining a lot but even though I wasn't that fond of the arcs

That followed after a certain point I still have love for the comic and still continue to read it cuz I grew up with these characters and love them and like I said there's somebody else who will find these books and will love these books that have come out the past 2 to 3 years but there are some changes like I know it's a reboot but they didn't have to like completely reboot everything they could have still had certain things still like be Canon to the og story

Potential W.I.T.C.H. Live Action Adaptation For Disney+ In Meeting Talks With Original Creators.

Disney is looking to bringing Heatherfield and Kandrakar to the live-action realm as the House of Mouse is looking to revive the popular Italian fantasy franchise W.I.T.C.H. for a potential live-action adaptation for Disney+.

This was revealed by Trey Callaway writter of the first season of the original animated W.I.T.C.H. series from the 2000s on the podcast Radical Retro Rewind?! talking that Disney is in meetings with the creators of the W.I.T.C.H. franchise on a potential live-action adaptation of the series for the streaming service.

On October 4, 2023, a reboot graphic novel, W.I.T.C.H. - Il cuore dell'amicizia, was published in Italy by Disney Books and Disney Press.

It seems that Disney is looking to bring some of its popular cartoons from the 90s and 2000s from Disney Television Animation and Disney EMEA Animation in the live-action world as a way to compete with Netflix's huge sucessful live-action adaptations of the beloved anime "ONE PIECE" and the Nickelodeon Animation series AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER who where huge hits for them with accumulating over 2B views upon release. Additionaly yesterday the rival platform ordered a new "SCOOBY DOO" live action series from Warner Bros Television.

Disney started this strategy by ordering a live-action reboot of the beloved Disney Television Animation action series from the 90s "GARGOYLES" for the Disney+ streaming service which is being executive produced by James Wan and Jason Blum through the Atomic Monster and Blumhouse Television label with Gary Dauberman acting as showrunner.

Additionaly a tween live-action sitcom based on the Disney Jr. series "VAMPIRINA" is coming to Disney Channel later this year as part of a new strategy by Disney Branded Television CEO Ayo Davis to innovate the It's A Laugh Productions division.

WITCH Reboot - Vol. 02 (Drive)

Link to volume 02 of the reboot already translated into English. I'm really surprised at how few people have been talking about the new volume here. I don't know if people got tired or didn't realize that they already had been released.

Hay Lin from W.I.T.C.H. reboot but with some alterations

Fixed it. Changes below the cut:

Taranee: Made her smile (like, come on), original skin color, top in casual style with nerdy look and print.

Cornelia: Got rid of the shorter side of the hair, changed shirt to light green and eyes to blue.

Elyon: Changed hair to original hairstyle (a tad neater) and color, original skin color, jacket to purple.

Irma: Changed eye color to original turquoise.

Will: Shorter hair, original skin color (which actually looks good with that hair!), changed clothes to sporty style and skirt into pants.

Hay Lin: Got rid of the streak (it's a ribbon now!), longer hair, more natural skin color (similar to Aury's), changed clothes to an 80's style oversize jumper with nebulae motives.

Amazon Netherlands now has a page for the October 2023 W.I.T.C.H. French reboot book, and more importantly has good-res previews of 8 pages, 5 of them new in regards to readable speech bubbles.
