From a Mydei lover standpoint, I'm devastated to see my beloved son fighting for every second of his life.

But from the extremely pedantic lore-nerd standpoint... This lightcone is hilarious because:

It implies that nine-year-old Mydei managed to not only find clothing and armor that would fit a child just conveniently floating around in the Sea of Souls, but that he also felt like jewelry was a necessity in his life, despite having (if we approach this logically) neither any social context for jewelry wearing nor jewelry having any practical application for someone fighting daily to survive. You can't slay without slaying, I guess.

This lightcone also implies that Mydei picked an outfit at nine-years-old and never changed his fashion choices again in his entire life. Bro really said, "This outfit slaps; I'm set for good." He's literally is still wearing the exact same style as he was rocking as a homeless refugee of the abyss; I can FEEL Aglaea internally screaming.

(Yes, realistically I can guess that the artist just didn't know what else to put Mydei in and defaulted to his current outfit for reference but ssshhhhh, let me have something to laugh about right now...)

I played Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky for the first time a little while ago and was reminded of how very wholesome the PMD series is. So here are some completely self-indulgent drawings of my rescue team. Shout-out to anyone else that has played the game with this specific combo!

Okay new take on the angst.

Neither Shanks nor Mihawk die (yay!) but Yoru shatters instead and Mihawk wishes it was him instead.

In a nice parallel to how Mihawk shattered Zoro’s two nameless swords like it was nothing Zoro uses these three great and kind of cursed swords to slowly and painstakingly chip by chip shatter the greatest blade in existence and even tho he’s still breathing Mihawk dies right along side it.

Honestly I don’t see a future where Zoro breaks mihawks sword and lets him live he has to much honor for that has to much respect for Mihawk both as a great swordsman and as a mentor figure. Knows what it means to die proudly with your blade in your hands so I think he’d think it quite cruel to shatter Yoru and then not give Mihawk the honor of death. So like even if he did I think it would be kind of on accident (like he wasn’t deliberately making precise blows to shatter the sword it just kind of happens) and Zoro has spent to much time with Luffy and shanks to kill Mihawk, has spent to much time with Mihawk has witnessed the boredorm and discontent he faces and it’s all complicated. So he Gives him the same lesson Mihawk gave him three scars down the chest from shoulder to hip tells him to come challenge him again.

Either way Mihawk is here scars down his chest for everyone to see and no sword and he has never been more scared or more empty in his life. But shanks is just glad that he’s here and that makes it so much worse.

Because now he feels like he’s just another thing Shanks has to protect. He’s weak and Mihawk hasn’t felt weak in a long time can’t remember a time when he felt there was a challenge that he couldn’t face. But living life after this might be the hardest challenge he has ever faced. There wasn’t supposed to be an after this was supposed to be it. His escape from the monotony a way to go out as honorable to the life that he had lived as he can be. And yet, here he is…..with Shanks, and he has nothing to offer him.

Mihawk is not a good man, not in the way Shanks and Luffy and even Zoro are. He’s selfish, capricious, haughty, callous, casually cruel and all these other adjectives that have never mattered to him before because he was also strong. His strength was all he had to offer and he has never felt as weak as he does now. Why would shanks want that? Why would shanks trade in an equal, a rival someone who could meet him at the top, why would he trade thay in for just another person to worry about. Mihawk wouldn’t (doesn’t think he would but he doesn’t know anymore) Mihawk left him at his lowest moment because of strength and he expects, demands, that shanks do the same.

Unlike Shanks he has nothing else to offer there is no deeper than this but Shanks is just glad that he’s here and what does it mean that he is still here?

Also this is very shanks to Mihawk coded because shanks has always know that this is exactly who Mihawk was there was no deeper (and maybe there where certain things he hoped he could learn) but Shanks has always known and has always accepted him for exactly who he is. There is no question in his mind that Mihawk will pick up a sword and get stronger again (maybe never as strong as he was but that’s okay too) not because that’s what Shanks expects but because that’s who Mihawk is

I have a problem

I'm falling on the rabbit hole of the batfamily, most espeficially the x reader fanfics and headcanons, and it's turning into a hyperfixation that's consuming me. I'm not even joking, i've been these two last days obsessively writing in my mind a full au of yandere!batfam x neglected!reader (yes, it's the most common and everyone has seen it already but HUSH). I hate my brain. I'm not even that deep into the dc universe, haven't been in several years. I'm team Marvel ffk

The worst part is that it's not even a deeply defined plot, like my current proyect. I just have the vibes and random scenarios and headcanons about the mc, and a bunch of cliches from all the batfam x neglected! reader put together in a mix. My arcane playlist isn't helping either. And recently I've played Watch Dogs Legion again and it's only giving me inspiration for this au.

So warning: Maybe I'll post a few things about this to get it out of my brain, because I can't be the only one suffering here. Don't worry to those who follow my other writing, I have no intention of abandoning it (not when I have already everything planned), but it's going to take slower than anticipated.

I finished The Naturals a week ago and I’ve been thinking about how the series would have been different if Jennifer aged the characters up and went a little darker.

I’ve been imagining how it would have looked if Cassie didn’t get saved from the Masters right away and was with them for more than 72 hours (or however long it was).

What if she was with them for months? What if when they found her, her time with the Masters was scared on her skin? What if she started cracking like her mother and aunt? What if she was forced to choose new victims?

I’ve actually been itching to see a darker version of some of my favorite scenes, so I think the Naturals is gonna be the fandom that I finally post fanfic in.

Two types of Jason live rent-free in my head:

- Jason who manages a swift takeover of Gotham’s underworld using a 40 step plan, where each step is further broken down into 40 more steps, so on and so forth until every single minute is accounted for. Each step also has contingencies that in turn also have contingencies.

- Jason who manages a swift takeover of Gotham’s underworld mostly by stumbling into it. He has a hit list that he systematically goes through one by one, with no intention of actually building a criminal empire, except with every person crossed off his list he acquires new ardent followers like baby ducks imprinting on the first moving object (except in this case it’s the first powerful, semi-benevolent figure who seems to have no agenda other than very effectively cleaning up crime), until he finally gets peer-pressured by his loyal followers to offer actual protection because how can he NOT want to help them in any way he can if they keep giving him homemade stews and handmade socks and intel he didn’t ask for but needed.

Outfit designs for my character Lev! Keeper of the lighthouse on the subarctic island of Elgidomur.

It was really fun to design his outfits and the sort of traditional embroidery his clothing would have, as these pieces are meant to last and are thus adorned over the years to embellish even simple thrifty pieces. Lev also prefers tight woven fabrics with structure and many layers over fur linings and loose fabrics. Embroidery details include flowers typical of the area, stylized seaweed and stylized diving birds. First is an outfit typical for lighthouse keepers in the area. Not quite a uniform but not dissimilar. Made of dark, tarred leathers to repel water. The cape can be closed and taken off. Then a more casual outfit complete with dad sandals, and last but not least the thing he may wear going to town or a social occasion.
