talking to @fadewalking about this, but gwen won't fight solas, not really. will she shove him on his ass the second she sees him and let him have it first? yes. but that is the extent of the physical violence she will mete out. ultimately, she believes he can be better. and dependent on what verse it is, her best friend is in love with the guy so she can't hurt him too much. and while he may think it more of a chess move (living up to the name in a way), she won't trick him either. she feels it's stooping to his level of trickery. but she believes she can convince him to bind himself to the veil, to work at this. and if she can? then there's hope for maybe mutual respect one day.
