I understand why you would feel like this is strange as they have talked about overblots in the story many times but please understand that this is mainly something that they have never done before and is basically like an experiment of sorts with the fanbase. The reception has been astronomically positive for this update to the story and while the vast majority is respecting the developer’s wishes to keep this content off public platforms until a specified date it goes without saying that this experiment of sorts may very well determine whether or not we get more animation sequences in the story or events in the future.

If players actively break the rules and ignore warnings the developers will eventually notice and make the decision to cancel any future projects of animation sequences in the game’s future development. All because people thought it would be funny to ruin the experience for everyone.

This also serves as a chance for players to go and see the scenes themselves without the aid of others to scrape it from the story and distribute the content. If you want to experience the game yourself I will provide a detailed guide as to how:

For iOS devices you will need to do one of two things. You will need either a new Apple ID account specifically set for Japan or to switch your country/region inside the physical App Store itself.

Switch your existing Apple ID:

Open the Settings app on your iOS device.

Tap on your name, then tap "Media & Purchases".

Tap "View Account" and sign in if prompted.

Tap "Country/Region" and select Japan.

Review the terms and conditions and tap "Agree".

You'll need to enter a valid Japanese payment method and billing address, or select "None" if downloading free apps.

New Apple ID

Go to Apple and create new account.

Select “Japan” for country/region.

Enter your regular phone number for the required number. Does not matter if the phone number is for the US, any number works.

Enter in all necessary information and check to see if you missed anything for identification.

When it comes to enter your “address” simply make one up! Many of us use a hotel address and it works.

Go to QooApp and look for Twisted Wonderland, specifically JP TWST and play from there.

I genuinely hope you realize the fandom is not trying to be a bunch of gatekeepers and bullies saying “don’t post” because the devs asked us not to post. They never ask anything of us unless absolutely necessary, this is one of those extremely rare cases where the devs and Yana have stepped up to say no posting- that is HUGE. This isn’t a case of “well the story is nothing new, why can’t we share because it’s the same old thing?” it’s something big and the devs are giving you a chance to try it out by downloading and playing it through.

Also, even if you have to wait until August 1st it’s not the end of the world here, you can wait. If you had to wait to play the Diasomnia Chapter on EN you can wait for the animations. Truly, it’s not that difficult to follow the rules and do as the devs ask of us.

Their "Think Different" ad campaign tried to position the Mac as the computer of dreamers and visionaries, and white Mac OS did have more visual "fit and finish" than Windows . . .

. . . it was getting harder to ignore its underpinnings as a single-tasking system from the Bronze Age of personal computing. Apple's inability to create a more modern Mac OS was big reason why the company almost went out of business, and they'd acquired Steve Jobs' NeXT corporation specifically to adapt their super-advanced OS to the Mac.

The earliest developer builds of the new Mac OS, called OS X, basically looked like NeXTStep reskinned to look like Mac OS 9.

It was a very conservative approach that mirrored what Microsoft had done with the Windows NT family: upgrade the tech under the hood, but retain the familiar UI with basically no changes. About the only mainstream application suite that ran on the Mac was Microsoft Office. Adobe had yet to create a version of Photoshop for Mac OS X, almost none of the other popular games and applications from the Windows world had Mac versions, and Apple's one-button mouse interface didn't even have a right-click option. You had to hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard and click the mouse to bring up a context menu. And yet it's hard to explain to folks who weren't there how much everyone who saw OS X needed to have it.

Much as the iMac looked totally different and more futuristic than everyone else's beige boxes, OS X looked like a user interface that really was from the future. Even though it wouldn't really be mature and feature-complete for a few more years, OS X made you feel like you could sit down and create something amazing with it. That feeling was an impossible thing to quantify, and it was something that Microsoft's creatively-blind culture was totally incapable of understanding or even believing in.

So Friday morning my phone shit itself. I'd been considering moving to a dumb phone but wasn't really expecting to have to make a decision quite so quickly, but here we are. Since I'm still chronically online though, I've made this blog to document my experiences and see how I go and how long I hold out before I cave and just get another smartphone I guess.

I've just been becoming more and more tired of finding myself scrolling mindlessly down apps I don't care about, that are feeding me content I don't want to see, and more adverts than posts by people I care about. I've become tired of constant software updates, planned obsolescence, and my battery running flat by 3pm every day. And now the introduction of AI generated content. If no one can be bothered to create it why would I bother to look at it, y'know?

So yesterday I went and bought this beauty. She's a Nokia 325 4G in "Future Dusk" (that's dark purple) and she cost $89.

This was the most up-spec phone I could find that didn't run android (or ios). She has a 2mp camera! I'm thrilled with how grainy and creepy the photos look, but i am going to need to get a proper camera, which is not a bad thing. I've been sussing out some options and I think I've found a cool Canon compact on Marketplace.

I've gotta tell you though, this feels like it has less personalisation options than my old 3315. It probably doesn't though. although what ever happened to a little hook on the corner so i could attach a wrist strap or a little flashing hello kitty charm or whatever? rude.

The predictive text feels very clunky, there doesn't appear to be a way to save custom words in the dictionary, which i definitely feel like the old T9 did. There's no emojis so we're back to texting ascii art, which is fun tbh.

Ring tones are limited but you can set MP3's as ring tones so that's fine. The standard text tone I've set is actually very cute, it sounds very magical, and receiving text messages is suddenly very exciting. especially since I've become so used to messenger.

Oh wait! I've just figured out how to add words. Great. So like, even as someone who's used this kind of tech before, there's still a little bit of a learning curve as I reacquaint myself with it.

There's no way to move menu options around to suit my preference as far as I can tell but there aren't that many of them so it's not that much of an issue.

The big challenge I'm facing is how to listen to audiobooks. I've become rather reliant on listening to audiobooks in order to get tedious tasks done. It's honestly something I dreamed about as a kid and audible basically saved my life, I'm not even exaggerating (much). This little phone can play mp3s, and there are ways to convert audible files to mp3 but having a 30 hour long mp3 with no way to skip back and forth on the track is not especially useful, and there's also no way that i've found so far to change the play speed.

There are MP3 players capable of running audible, but that also means they're capable of running all the other apps that I don't want to be able to have access to. I don't feel that I'm addicted to my phone precisely but I also don't have a lot of self control as regards the bad habit I've developed of reaching for my phone any time my hands are not otherwise engaged. If anyone out there knows of some ways around that please let me know!

As I continue to test ChatGPT, I am floored by how consistently wrong it is. I feel like I can’t trust a word it says.

“I wonder if the intelligence is increasing at the same rate as the facility with language,” Nilay Patel, editor-in-chief of The Verge, said to Pichai during the Decoder conversation. “I kind of don’t see it, to be perfectly honest.
