Hello!
For A/B tests, has the thought of rolling out a simple pop-up survey after the "settling in" phase(one that can let users know they're in a testing group, what the test is, and ask them to rate their satisfaction with the change), been thrown around at all?
Satisfaction surveys for features being tested are industry standard, and other than WIP here(only open one day a week) or Feedback tickets(which VERY few people know about or have the desire to do), there doesn't seem to be ANY way for staff to measure quantitative CSAT!
C'mon, Tumblr users LOVE polls!
Answer: Hello, @ebay-taxidermy!
We actually do qualitative surveys like that from time to time—but this is a process separate from the quantitative work of an A/B test. We often don’t want to do a survey during an actual A/B test because it may influence the result, depending on the size of the audience in the test.
As it is, we already get a huge amount of useful feedback from Support tickets, and we are on the platform reading what y’all are saying! Thanks again for your feedback—it is much appreciated, and it all helps.
Have a lovely day.
Best,
—Marina

чітку структуру (привітання – пропозиція – заклик до дії);
зрозумілу мову без складних слів і канцеляризмів;
конкретну вигоду або причину звернення;
Замовити: vitaplus.ua

не тисніть, а пропонуйте;
замість «найкращої ціни» покажіть реальну вигоду;
замість «дізнайтесь більше» — скажіть, що саме отримає клієнт;

What Are Locations in Targeting Options in Display Ads?

Locations in targeting options for display ads refer to the geographic areas where your ads will be shown. This targeting method allows advertisers to focus their campaigns on specific regions, countries, cities, or even neighborhoods, ensuring their ads reach the most relevant audience. Here’s an in-depth look at location targeting in display ads:
1. Importance of Location Targeting
Location targeting is essential for businesses that want to reach audiences in specific areas. It helps in delivering relevant ads to users based on their geographical location, which can significantly increase ad effectiveness and conversion rates.
2. Types of Location Targeting
There are several types of location targeting options available:
Country Level: Targeting users in specific countries.
Region/State Level: Focusing on users within particular regions or states.
City Level: Targeting specific cities.
Zip Code/Postal Code Level: Narrowing down to smaller geographic areas.
Radius Around a Location: Defining a radius around a particular point, such as a business location, to target nearby users.
For comprehensive support in enhancing your paid media campaigns, explore our Paid Media Advertising company services.
3. Benefits of Location Targeting
Increased Relevance: Ads are shown to users who are more likely to be interested based on their location.
Higher Engagement: Location-specific ads can lead to higher engagement rates as they are more relevant to the user’s context.
Better Resource Allocation: Advertisers can allocate their budget more efficiently by focusing on high-potential geographic areas.
4. Implementing Location Targeting
To set up location targeting, follow these steps:
Log in to Your Ad Platform: Access the ad platform you are using, such as Google Ads.
Select Your Campaign: Choose the campaign you want to apply location targeting to.
Navigate to Location Settings: Find the location settings within your campaign setup.

Advanced Location Targeting Techniques
5. Geo-Fencing
Geo-fencing allows advertisers to set up a virtual perimeter around a specific location. Ads are then shown to users who enter this defined area. This technique is useful for businesses targeting local customers or promoting events.
6. Location-Based Demographics
Combine location targeting with demographic targeting to reach a more specific audience. For example, targeting young professionals in urban areas can help in tailoring ads that resonate with this particular group.
7. Local Keywords
Incorporate local keywords into your ad copy and landing pages. This practice enhances the relevance of your ads and improves your quality score, potentially lowering costs and increasing ad placements.
Best Practices for Location Targeting
8. Analyze Performance Data
Regularly analyze performance data to identify which locations are delivering the best results. Use this data to refine your targeting strategy and allocate more budget to high-performing areas.
9. A/B Testing
Conduct A/B testing to compare the effectiveness of different location targeting strategies. Test various geographic areas and bid modifiers to find the optimal setup for your campaign.
10. Adjust for Seasonal Variations
Consider seasonal variations that might affect your target locations. For instance, targeting coastal cities during summer for beach-related products can yield better results than during winter.
Conclusion
Location targeting in display ads is a powerful tool for reaching the right audience based on their geographic location. By utilizing various targeting options, including country, region, city, and radius targeting, businesses can improve the relevance and effectiveness of their ads. Advanced techniques like geo-fencing and location-based demographics further enhance targeting precision. A/B Testing: Essential for CRO Success
Discover the importance of A/B testing for CRO and how it improves website conversions.
Source: https://cro.media/insights/marketing/ab-testing-essential-cro-success/
In the world of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), A/B testing plays a pivotal role in refining website elements, improving user engagement, and driving higher conversions. Through systematic testing, businesses can discover what resonates with their audience, removing the guesswork that often clouds marketing decisions. At CRO Media, a leading Shopify agency, we leverage A/B testing to ensure that every change made to a site is data-driven and designed to maximize results.
Key A/B Testing Strategies for Conversion Rate Optimization
A/B testing helps isolate variables, making it possible to test one element at a time and measure its direct impact on user behavior. By comparing two versions of a marketing asset, businesses can clearly identify which design or copy variation performs best, leading to better user engagement and increased conversions.
Prioritize Testable Variables
In the CRO process, choosing the right elements to test is crucial. Common variables tested include call-to-action (CTA) buttons, headlines, and email subject lines. Each test should focus on a single change—whether it's the color of a button or the positioning of a form—so that the results are clear and reliable. Testing multiple variables at once can skew the data, making it difficult to pinpoint the cause of a performance shift.
"Each test should focus on a single change so that the results are clear and reliable."
Segment and Analyze Audience Data
Understanding how different audience segments respond to variations is vital for effective A/B testing. CRO Media often segments audiences based on demographics, device types, or traffic sources to identify the most impactful changes for each group. This allows for a more targeted approach to optimization, ensuring that each visitor’s experience is personalized and relevant.
Statistical Significance for Reliable Results
For A/B tests to inform meaningful decisions, it's essential to run them long enough to collect statistically significant data. Running tests too quickly with a small sample size can lead to misleading conclusions. CRO Media uses advanced tools like A/B test significance calculators to ensure that the results are robust and actionable, allowing businesses to make confident decisions based on solid data.
Implementing A/B Test Findings
Once testing is complete and a winning variant has been identified, it's essential to implement the findings in a timely manner. A/B testing allows businesses to experiment with different design elements and copy, ultimately improving the user experience and conversion rates. From simple changes like button color to more complex adjustments like landing page layout, these insights directly inform CRO strategies.
"CRO is an ongoing process, and A/B testing should be a continuous part of your optimization strategy."
Continuous Optimization
The work doesn’t stop after one test. CRO is an ongoing process, and A/B testing should be a continuous part of your optimization strategy. Each test uncovers insights that can guide future tests, creating a cycle of ongoing improvement. Whether it's tweaking a headline or adjusting a CTA's placement, consistent A/B testing helps businesses stay aligned with their audience's preferences and maximizes conversion potential.
CRO Media’s Approach to A/B Testing
At CRO Media, A/B testing is a core part of our strategy to enhance Shopify stores' performance. By focusing on key CRO elements—like CTA optimization, form design, and content presentation—we help clients improve user interaction and boost conversions. Our testing approach includes detailed analytics, audience segmentation, and iterative optimization to ensure that every change contributes to a measurable improvement in conversion rates.
By utilizing data-driven A/B testing, businesses can take the guesswork out of their marketing and focus on strategies that yield real results, enhancing both customer experience and revenue.

Optimizing Facebook Ads for CRO Success
Optimize Facebook ads to drive conversions with these CRO-focused strategies.
Source: https://cro.media/insights/social-media/optimizing-facebook-ads-for-cro-success/
Facebook ads are a powerful tool for increasing brand visibility, driving traffic, and generating conversions. However, running effective Facebook ad campaigns requires more than just setting up an ad—it involves strategically using Facebook Ads Manager, refining your targeting, and continuously optimizing your campaigns to ensure high conversion rates. This process directly ties into Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) by focusing on improving user engagement and driving desired actions.
Maximizing Campaign Effectiveness Through Targeted Ads
The key to a successful Facebook ad campaign lies in audience targeting and ad optimization. CRO is all about ensuring that visitors convert into customers, and effective Facebook ads directly contribute to this goal. By defining a clear objective for each campaign—whether it's increasing awareness, generating leads, or driving sales—you can tailor your ads to meet specific user needs and maximize conversions.
Setting Clear Objectives for Better CRO
One of the first steps in Facebook advertising is selecting a campaign objective. Facebook Ads Manager offers various options such as traffic generation, lead generation, and sales, which align perfectly with CRO goals. For example, if your objective is to drive website traffic, Facebook’s targeting tools help you reach the most relevant audience, increasing the likelihood of conversions. If your goal is to collect leads, Facebook ads can be tailored to prompt users to sign up, ensuring the ad serves the direct needs of your business.
Utilizing A/B Testing for CRO
A/B testing is a core aspect of CRO, allowing you to experiment with different ad formats, copy, and visuals to identify which combinations yield the highest conversion rates. Facebook Ads Manager’s built-in A/B testing feature allows for easy comparison of ad variations, making it simpler to find the best-performing ads. By continuously testing and optimizing, businesses can improve their ad performance and minimize wasted ad spend, ensuring that every dollar spent contributes to conversions.
Budgeting and Scheduling for Conversion Optimization
Effective budgeting and scheduling are integral to running successful Facebook ad campaigns. Setting the right budget ensures that ads reach the right audience at the right time without overspending. Facebook’s option to choose between a daily or lifetime budget gives businesses flexibility, but careful monitoring is needed to adjust these budgets based on ad performance. By setting the right schedule and budget, businesses can avoid unnecessary costs and optimize ad spend for better returns, aligning with CRO best practices.
Performance Goals for Conversions
Once the ad set and audience are defined, setting performance goals for each campaign ensures that the ads meet specific CRO objectives. For instance, if the goal is to drive sales, you can set the ad to focus on conversion metrics like clicks or purchases, optimizing the path to conversion. Facebook’s real-time performance tracking allows advertisers to refine their strategies instantly, enabling them to fine-tune their campaigns to increase the likelihood of achieving high conversion rates.
Measuring and Reporting for Continuous Optimization
After launching Facebook ads, measuring and reporting on their performance is crucial for improving conversions. With over 350 metrics available in Facebook Ads Manager, it’s essential to focus on key metrics such as click-through rate (CTR), cost per click (CPC), and conversion rates. These metrics provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of your ads, helping to identify areas for improvement. Facebook’s reporting tools make it easy to track the success of your ads, enabling data-driven decisions for continuous optimization of the user journey.
"By continuously testing and optimizing, businesses can improve their ad performance and minimize wasted ad spend, ensuring that every dollar spent contributes to conversions."
Integrating Facebook Ads with CRO Tools
Integrating Facebook ad performance data with your overall CRO tools and CRM systems enhances the ability to track conversions across multiple platforms. By combining Facebook’s detailed analytics with other CRO tools, businesses can get a holistic view of customer interactions, from initial engagement to final purchase. This integrated approach allows for more precise targeting, optimization of user experience, and higher conversion rates.
Refining Ad Creative for Better CRO
The design and messaging of your Facebook ads are crucial for driving conversions. Simple, clear, and engaging copy paired with eye-catching visuals can significantly impact CTR and conversion rates. Additionally, using social proof such as customer reviews or testimonials can help build trust with potential customers, further improving ad performance. Ensuring that your ad visuals are not text-heavy, and that the messaging aligns with your landing page, will reduce bounce rates and improve conversion rates.
"The design and messaging of your Facebook ads are crucial for driving conversions."
Landing Page Consistency for Higher Conversions
The connection between your Facebook ads and landing pages plays a critical role in CRO. A well-designed landing page that matches the messaging of your ad ensures a seamless user experience, which is essential for conversion. If the ad promises a special offer or action, the landing page should reflect that promise clearly. Any discrepancy between the ad and the landing page can lead to confusion and higher bounce rates, undermining your CRO efforts. "A well-designed landing page that matches the messaging of your ad ensures a seamless user experience, which is essential for conversion."
Conclusion
To drive conversions through Facebook ads, you must focus on strategic targeting, continuous optimization, and careful measurement of performance. By aligning your Facebook advertising strategy with CRO principles, you can ensure that your ads not only reach the right audience but also effectively guide them toward conversion. With tools like Facebook Ads Manager and A/B testing, businesses can optimize every aspect of their campaigns to achieve the best possible return on investment. "To drive conversions through Facebook ads, you must focus on strategic targeting, continuous optimization, and careful measurement of performance."
