Word List: Psychology
more psychological concepts as reference for your poem/story
Absent grief - a form of complicated grief in which a person shows no, or only a few, signs of distress about the death of a loved one. This pattern of grief is thought to be an impaired response resulting from denial or avoidance of the emotional realities of the loss.
Being love - (or B-love) in Abraham Maslow’s humanistic psychology, a form of love characterized by mutuality, genuine concern for another’s welfare and pleasure, and reduced dependency, selfishness, and jealousy. B-love is one of the qualities Maslow ascribes to self-actualizers.
Cyclopean eye - a theoretical eye, located on the midline between the real eyes, that has access to the functions of both eyes and is used in descriptions of space perception and eye movements.
Dream ego - in the analytic psychology of Carl Jung, a fragment of the conscious ego that is active during the dream state.
Epiphany - a sudden perception of the essential nature of oneself, others, or reality.
Family mythology - the shared stories, norms, and beliefs within a family system. The mythology can be used to deny trauma or pathology within the family or to ascribe meaning to events in ways that suggest their inevitability or importance.
Guilt culture - a trend or organizing principle in a society characterized by the use of guilt to promote socially acceptable behavior. Guilt cultures emphasize both self-control in the face of temptation and self-initiated responsibility for one’s actions if transgressions should occur.
Hedonic treadmill - a metaphor for a hypothesis proposing that people’s happiness tends to return to a preexisting baseline level after positive or negative life events have occurred. According to this concept, positive and negative events may produce short-term shifts in mood, but these shifts tend to erode in a relatively brief period of time. This process of adaptation is thought to be responsible for the persistence of mood states over time, often in the face of considerable efforts to change them. Although there is good evidence for this hypothesis, research has demonstrated that people do not always return to baseline after the occurrence of mood-changing events.
Jactitation - (or jactation) extreme restlessness marked by frequent movements and tossing about.
Leaving the field - the act of removing oneself from a situation when confronted with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, insoluble conflicts, or intensely frustrating problems. It may involve physical withdrawal, escape into psychogenic illness, or some other behavior, such as distraction or changing the subject during a conversation.

Okay I’m gonna drop an unpopular opinion here
I really
Really
Really
Hate the Jason and Damian met in the league and have a close brotherly relationship
I honestly think it detracts from BOTH of their development and makes both the characters a lot more 2D and boring.
And also I think it disrespects my GIRL Stephanie brown. Bc that close personal bickering, anything goes sibling shit? Yeah that’s Damian and Steph all the way.
And yeah I tend to credit Dick Grayson (bc he’s my boy) for a lot of the Growth Damian goes through. But Stephanie brown and him have the funniest sibling relationship in history
And I think to have as interesting of a development as Damian has had you needed characters like Dick and Steph to be his Batman and Batgirl.
Dick who I think we can all agree is objectively the least violent of the bats at a baseline (Richard crash out Grayson moments notwithstanding) as well as Steph. Both have angry moments of doling out justice but BOTH prefer rehabilitation methods and tend to be more mouthy and loud about their thoughts during a battle
Steph CLAWED her way up into her position, she fought for that and held on with an iron grip that left indents. She wasn’t as good as, Dick born acrobat Grayson, Barbara prodigy Gordon and Tim genius Drake. So she worked her ass off and FORCED people to pay attention to her and got good enough that she matches the rest of the bats on the field.
Dick HAS the experience of working with difficult cases. He’s lead teams his age filled with drama, infighting and death successfully, he’s trained kids younger than him successfully on panel.
He’s canonically a very adaptable teacher, who has strength in meeting you where you’re at and getting you to move to where you want to be.
Both these things helped Damian exponentially
Now let me be so clear.
Damian did the work.
Damian put in the blood, sweat and tears into changing his beliefs and perceptions of the world. But that would not have been possible if these two didn’t at least make it known that “hey you can be the kind of person who cares and still have value and not be weak and pathetic”
Damian going vegetarian/vegan bc of his morals, Damian choosing not to kill, Damian choosing to leave Robin, Damian making choices unrelated to mantles, regrets and vengeance. Is due to the fact that he had Dick Grayson and Stephanie brown as examples (now ofc Alfred was also very very very imp but I feel like no one ignores his significance so I don’t feel the need to add him here)
And Jason?
It also imo, FUCK UP JAYS DEVELOPMENT.
Bc if Jason could be this kind, empathic older sibling to Damian? WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK WAS HE DOING WHEN HE FIRST CAME TO GOTHAM? the way he treated the bats and the rogues gallery? Slaughtering all of blackgate to end up in Arkham, making dick watch him fall to his ‘death’.
No absolutely not
This is the ‘pit madness’ nonsense all over again
Jason had to see the world outside of Gotham and work with other people who were anti-heroes who fall into the category.
Bc Jason didn’t start out as an antihero
Jason was a full on villain with a grudge against other villains, he worked for the place he’s in. It’s bc of characters he interacted with, it’s bc of realizations he’s dealt with. It’s because he’s been a little too trigger happy in the wrong place and ended up looking at the grief he caused others and realizing he didn’t want to do that.
It gets rid of Jason realizing HE CAN work with his family.
It gets rid of Jason BECOMING a solid older brother to Tim and erases the Jason who WANTS to have a relationship with his family.
It erases all of the times he’s tried and failed and still got up and tried again
Both of them have grown bc of the people around them and I think if they had each other at that time it would’ve gone 1 of 2 ways
1) a toxic loop re-establishing bad beliefs and practices that damage both of them and leave them more resentful and stuck in their ways
2) they would’ve hated each other and tried to kill each other
In summary
-both these characters didn’t show up nice, they worked for it, don’t erase that
- don’t erase the characters that helped them grow (my girl Steph Brown being left out of conversations she started will kill me)
- Jason can have close relationships with the family im not saying he shouldn’t. I’m just saying that Jay is the cool older brother who very obviously loves you but was at college when you were a kid and now doesn’t really know how to interact with you and it’s awkward but you know you can go to him even if he isn’t your first call in most situations
- Damian was not a good person, he CHOSE to be that’s important to his growth. And with that growth came the ability to form the close connections he now has in canon. Without the growth he undergoes he wouldn’t be able to form the protective loving group of family and friends he has around him
- STOP IGNORING STEPH, I AM LITERALLY A DICK GRAYSON STAN ACCOUNT AND I AM OVERHERE TRYING TO GET CRUMBS OF MY GIRL OHMYGOD
- I would highkey love a short miniseries of Jason and Damian working together and developing a nice relationship both in and out of the masks but until we get that. I’m sticking to awkward brother that loves you but doesn’t get you at all
Also if you disagree/ have more nuanced takes on the Jay Damian sibling arc please leave in the reblogs and comments, I like hearing more nuanced takes and discussing just please don’t be a dick (hehe) about it
#dick grayson#nightwing#batfam#jason todd#redhood#stephanie brown#dc spoiler#dc comics#damian wayne#Robin#DAMIAN AND STEPHS DYNAMIC IS MY FAVORITE#AND EVERYONE JUST IGNORES IT#AND GIVES JASON THIS SUPERCLOSE AND SWEET RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM#THATS NOT FAIR#MY GIRL WORKED FOR THAT SHIT#SHE PUT UP WITH EARLY 10YRO DAMIAN SHE DESERVES SO MANY MEDALS#ALL THE MEDALS#putting up with TIM BRUCE AND DAMIAN THAT GIRL IS A SAINT OH MY GOD#I promise I love Jason#I swear I do#he’s my second favorite character

Ch.2 Ch.3 Ch.4 Ch.5
______________________________________________________________
Chapter 1: Welcome to the Wolffs
Y/n Müller had always been driven by a deep sense of creativity and a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Growing up in a bilingual household in Stuttgart, she had developed a passion for languages and cultures, seamlessly switching between German and English. This dual heritage had given her a unique perspective and a love for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
When it came time to choose a field of study, Y/n followed her heart and enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts program, majoring in Media Design. She was drawn to the world of visual storytelling, believing that design could shape perceptions and inspire change. Her coursework was rigorous, covering everything from graphic design to video production, but Y/n thrived in the academic environment.
However, as graduation approached, Y/n found herself at a crossroads. While she loved the theoretical aspects of her studies, she longed for a more hands-on role where she could apply her knowledge in real-life situations. She had worked part-time as a nanny throughout her university years, discovering a natural talent for engaging with children and creating enriching experiences for them.
One evening, while scrolling through job postings, Y/n stumbled upon an advertisement that caught her eye:
______________________________________________________________
WE ARE HIRING
a live-in nanny position for a family in Monaco. bilingual background (German and English)
Job description: A high-profile family deeply embedded in motorsports is looking for a bilingual nanny who can travel with them fully and adjust to a dynamic lifestyle.
Required skills: Background in early childhood care.
Job Location: Monaco (base)
______________________________________________________________
It didn't say who that family was, but since she was a new motorsports fan, she had recently started watching "Drive to Survive" on Netflix, it only had 2 Seasons and she just started on episode 3 of season 1. All that she knew about motorsports she got from Drive to Survive but there are so many different categories, not only Formula 1. So she decided she may not know who they were anyway.
But that docuseries had piqued her interest, offering a glimpse into the thrilling and often dramatic world of F1 racing, full of fascinating stories, personalities, and grown men that could be so petty and childish sometimes. Between the drama and the drivers, she felt like watching an episode of "The Real Housewives" shows. Not to forget the lifestyle that comes with motorsports.
She felt an instant connection with the Mercedes team, even though they were hardly spoken about in the first season, since she was born in Stuttgart and everyone knows how interconnected that city is with the brand.
That's why her heart raced so fast as she read the listing. It seemed too good to be true! The chances that I really was anything remotely connected with the Show was slim but she still had a good feeling about it.
It also was just a chance to combine her creative background, passion for nurturing children, and newfound love for motorsports while experiencing life in an entirely new and glamorous setting, knowing that the family had wealth seeing as they live in Monaco.
The more she thought about it, the more it seemed like the perfect opportunity. All those factors drove her to apply for the job.
Working for that prominent family would allow her to make a significant impact on a kid's life, providing him or her as nanny a stable and loving presence amidst their busy lives.
The role also offered her professional and personal growth, which a traditional design job might not provide. At least not in that capacity.
And the opportunity to travel with the family in their fast-paced world and manage the challenges of a high-profile household would push her out of her comfort zone and help her develop a diverse skill set.
Plus, the exciting idea of living in Monaco, a city known for its beauty and sophistication, was too tempting to pass up.
She could immerse herself in a new culture, build a global network, and create unforgettable memories. Her twenties were here so she could explore herself and the world so what better way than to travel and make friends.
She could always go back to her design background if she was getting tired of childcare. With her, you would never know.
Being highly interested in the job opening Y/n sent out her resume and a cover letter. Still not knowing who the family is. But she really didn't care who those people were as long as they were nice.
______________________________________________________________
I am writing to express my interest in the nanny position for your family. With a strong background in Media Design and over five years of experience in childcare, I am confident in my ability to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for your child. My bilingual skills and creative approach to education make me uniquely suited to support your family’s needs.
My experience includes designing engaging, educational activities that support children’s cognitive and emotional development. I am adept at managing busy schedules, coordinating travel, and maintaining the highest standards of discretion and professionalism. I believe my dedication and adaptability align well with the high standards you seek in a nanny.
I was born in Stuttgart, Germany, to a German mother and an American father, which afforded me the advantage of being raised bilingual in German and English. This multicultural background has not only enhanced my communication skills but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. I am passionate about traveling and eager to learn from new environments, which I believe will enrich my role as a nanny.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your family’s well-being.
Kind regards,
Y/n Müller
______________________________________________________________
When Y/n sent off her application, she felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. She had poured her heart into the cover letter, hoping her passion and experience would shine through. The following days were a whirlwind of emotions and activities as she waited for a response.
During those two weeks, Y/n kept herself busy to manage the anticipation. She continued her part-time nanny job, investing extra effort into creating engaging activities for the children she looked after. She also worked on freelance design projects, hoping to bolster her portfolio in case she needed to pivot back to her design career.
Y/n spent time with friends and family, sharing her hopes about the potential job in Monaco. They encouraged her, but the waiting was still nerve-wracking. Every time her phone buzzed, her heart raced, thinking it might be an email from the Wolff family.
To prepare herself for a possible interview, Y/n researched more about Monaco and the world of motorsports. She watched documentaries, read articles, and familiarized herself with the different sports leagues and key figures, hoping to impress the family with her knowledge if given the chance.
When the invitation for a video interview finally arrived, Y/n was both nervous and hopeful. The email's subject line made her heart skip a beat. She quickly opened it and read through the details, feeling a surge of excitement. She was thrilled to finally meet the family and get to know them, but also anxious about making a good impression.
______________________________________________________________
Dear Y/n,
We hope this email finds you well. Thank you for your interest in the nanny position with our family. We were delighted to receive your application and are impressed by your qualifications and enthusiasm.

Jack is a lively and curious three-year-old who loves exploring new things and learning through play. We are seeking someone who can not only care for him but also foster his love for learning and creativity. Your background in Media Design caught our attention, as we believe your creative skills can help make Jack’s experiences both fun and educational. Your bilingual ability is also a big plus, knowing you can speak both English and German with him.
We have scheduled a video interview with you to further discuss this opportunity. The interview will take place on January 12th at 3 PM. You can join the call using the following link: [Video Call Link].
During the interview, we would like to discuss your experience, your approach to childcare, and how you envision supporting Jack’s development. Additionally, we welcome any questions you may have about our family and Jack’s routine.
We hope you are as excited about this opportunity as we are about the prospect of having you join our family. Please let us know if you have any questions or need further information before the interview.
We look forward to speaking with you soon.
Warm regards,
Toto and Susie Wolff
______________________________________________________________
When Y/n received the email, her eyes widened in surprise and excitement as she read through it. She had been anxiously awaiting a response, but she never imagined that the family she had applied to work for was as prestigious as the Wolffs. She quickly reread the introduction, her heart racing.
"Wow," she whispered to herself. "Toto and Susie Wolff? This is incredible."
The significance of the opportunity began to sink in. Toto Wolff, the Team Principal and CEO of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, and Susie Wolff, a former racing driver and the CEO of ROKiT Venturi Racing in Formula E, were offering her a chance to be part of their world. She felt a mixture of awe and determination.
Y/n couldn't help but smile as she thought about little Jack, imagining the lively and curious three-year-old they described. She was thrilled that her background in Media Design had caught their attention and that they saw the potential for her creative skills to enrich Jack’s experiences. Knowing they appreciated her bilingual ability gave her an added boost of confidence.
"January 12th at 3 PM," she murmured, making a mental note of the interview date and time. She clicked the video call link to ensure it worked, not wanting to leave anything to chance.
Her mind buzzed with a hundred thoughts at once. She needed to prepare thoroughly for the interview, making sure she could articulate her experience and vision for supporting Jack's development. She also wanted to prepare insightful questions to show her genuine interest in their family and lifestyle.
Y/n felt a surge of excitement mixed with a hint of nerves. This opportunity was bigger than she had anticipated, but she was determined to make the most of it. She took a deep breath, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over her.
"This is it," she thought. "This could be the start of something truly amazing."
She immediately set to work, planning her preparations for the interview. She wanted to be ready to impress Toto and Susie Wolff, knowing that this was a chance to combine her passions for childcare, creativity, and cultural exploration in an extraordinary way.
The night before the interview, Y/n rehearsed her answers to potential questions and prepared thoughtful questions of her own. She set up her laptop in her parents' house in Stuttgart, double-checked her internet connection, and ensured her surroundings were neat and professional. If this interview didn’t work out, she reminded herself, she could always fall back on her design background. But deep down, she knew how much she wanted this opportunity.
______________________________________________________________
She took a deep breath and clicked the link to join the video call.
The screen flickered, and soon she found herself face-to-face with Toto and Susie Wolff. Y/n had done a quick search on them prior to the interview, discovering their significant influence in the motorsports world, but she still didn’t know the full extent of their prominence.
“Hello, Y/n. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Susie said with a warm smile.
“Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Wolff. Thank you for this opportunity. Es freut mich sehr, dass wir die Möglichkeit haben, so miteinander zu kommunizieren (I am very pleased that we have the opportunity to communicate with each other like this),” Y/n replied, trying to keep her nerves in check.
“Please, call us Toto and Susie,” Toto said, his tone friendly and welcoming. “We’ve read through your application and were very impressed. Why don’t you tell us a bit more about yourself?”
Y/n began to explain her background in Media Design, her passion for working with children, and how she believed her creative skills would be beneficial in engaging and educating their son, Jack. She also mentioned her bilingual abilities and her experience growing up in Stuttgart.
Susie nodded thoughtfully. “We think your background is quite unique and would bring a fresh perspective to Jack’s upbringing. How do you feel about traveling frequently and adapting to different environments?”
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to travel,” Y/n said. “I think it would be an amazing experience for both Jack and me. I’m adaptable and eager to learn about new cultures and environments. Traveling has always been a passion of mine, although I haven’t had the opportunity to see and learn as much as I would like to until now.”
Toto leaned forward slightly. “One thing to consider is the nature of our lifestyle. It can be fast-paced and demanding. How comfortable are you with managing stress and maintaining flexibility?”
“I’m confident in my ability to handle stress and stay organized,” Y/n replied. “My studies and previous nanny jobs have taught me how to manage my time effectively and stay calm under pressure. Zudem möchte ich auch nochmal anführen, dass ich eben deutsch bin. Es liegt mir also eigentlich im Blut immer pünktlich zu sein und mein Leben gut zu managen. (I would also like to mention again that I am German. So it's actually in my blood to always be punctual and to manage my life well.)”
The last part was meant as a joke, but Toto and Susie knew she fully meant it.
Y/N paused before she asked a question she was eager to get an answer to. “I am very sorry to tell you I don’t really know about your work background and I was not comfortable googling the both of you so if you don’t mind what exactly do you do? Also, you spoke about traveling how often would that be and when would you like to have Jack with you guys?” It was a long question but she was confident they would answer her fully.
Susie and Toto exchanged a quick glance, their smiles warm and understanding. They appreciated her directness and respect for their privacy.
Susie spoke first, her tone friendly. "No worries at all, Y/n. I’m a former racing driver and currently the CEO of ROKiT Venturi Racing in Formula E. My role involves overseeing the team’s operations, strategy, and ensuring we’re competitive in the championship. It’s a dynamic and demanding job, but one I’m very passionate about."
Toto nodded, adding with a hint of enthusiasm, "And I’m the team principal and CEO of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. It’s an intense job, managing the team and ensuring we perform at our best during the racing season. So, as you can imagine, our schedules can be quite demanding and involve a fair bit of travel."
Susie continued, "Regarding travel, we do move around quite a bit, especially during the racing season, which runs from March to December. There are races almost every other week, and they happen all over the world. We'd love to have Jack with us during these travels, but it depends on the location and the duration of our stay."
Toto chimed in, "Ideally, we'd like him to join us for the major races and during the summer break when the schedule is a bit lighter. It's important to us that he experiences different cultures and environments, but we also want to ensure he has stability in his education and routine. We’re looking for someone who can help maintain that balance for him."
Susie nodded, "Exactly. We want Jack to feel secure and supported, no matter where we are. Your role would be crucial in providing that stability while also making the experience enjoyable and enriching for him."
Y/n listened carefully, nodding as Susie and Toto explained their busy schedules and travel needs. When they finished, she smiled confidently, ready to reassure them of her capabilities.
"Thank you both for sharing that with me. Your careers sound incredibly exciting and demanding, and I can see how important it is to you that Jack has stability amidst all the travel."
She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts. "I have extensive experience working with children in various environments, including situations where parents have high-profile, busy careers. I understand the importance of creating a stable, nurturing environment for Jack, no matter where we are. I am skilled at maintaining routines and providing the educational support he needs to thrive."
Y/n continued, her voice steady and reassuring. "I’m very adaptable and have handled travel with families before. I’m organized and proactive, ensuring that everything Jack needs is prepared and that he feels secure and happy in each new location. I also love finding creative ways to make travel educational and fun for children, turning each new place into a learning opportunity."
She smiled warmly, looking between Susie and Toto. "I’m confident that I can provide the balance you’re looking for—supporting Jack’s growth and education while also making sure he enjoys the unique experiences your lifestyle offers. I’m excited about the possibility of being a part of your family and contributing to Jack’s development in such a dynamic and enriching environment. That of course is if you would have me.” She smiles at them.
After a few more questions about her approach to childcare and her thoughts on integrating educational activities with play, the interview began to wrap up.
“We’re very impressed with you, Y/n,” Susie said, glancing at Toto, who nodded in agreement. “We think you’d be a wonderful fit for our family.”
Y/n’s heart soared. “Thank you so much. I’m really excited about the possibility of working with you and getting to know Jack.”
“We’ll be in touch soon with more details,” Toto said, smiling. “Thank you for your time today.”
As the call ended, Y/n felt a rush of exhilaration. The interview had gone better than she could have imagined, and she felt a sense of validation in her choices and aspirations. The Wolff family represented a new path, one filled with opportunities for growth, adventure, and meaningful connections.
Two days later, Y/n received another email from the Wolffs.
______________________________________________________________
Dear Y/n,
We are thrilled to inform you that after careful consideration, we would like to offer you the position of nanny for our son, Jack. We believe that your skills, experience, and personality make you the perfect fit for our family, and we are excited about the prospect of having you join us.
As mentioned during the interview process, we would like to start with a trial period to ensure that there is a good connection between all of us. Therefore, we propose a trial run of three months, during which we can assess how well we work together and whether this arrangement meets everyone's needs.
We are genuinely excited to welcome you into the Wolff family. We believe that your background in Media Design, your bilingual abilities, and your passion for childcare will make a positive impact on Jack's life and development. We are confident that you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for him, allowing him to thrive and grow.
Regarding logistics, we understand that relocating to Monaco is a significant step, and we want to make the transition as smooth as possible for you. If you are able to join us by the 1st of February, it would give us ample time to settle in and get acquainted before the busy racing season begins.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to support you and ensure that you have all the information you need.
Once again, congratulations, Y/n. We are looking forward to embarking on this exciting journey together.
Warm regards,
Toto and Susie Wolff
______________________________________________________________
As Y/n sat amidst the flurry of emotions, her mind drifted to the impressions she had formed of Toto and Susie Wolff during the interview process. Toto, with his focused demeanor and stern yet approachable presence, exuded a sense of determination and drive that commanded respect. She couldn't help but admire his unwavering commitment to excellence, balanced by an underlying charm that shone through in the occasional dad joke or lighthearted quip.
In contrast, Susie embodied elegance and grace in every aspect of her being. Y/n admired the way Susie carried herself with poise and sophistication, radiating warmth and sincerity in her interactions. Behind her poised exterior, Y/n sensed a deep well of motivation, care, and love for others, driven by her passion for making a positive impact in the world.
As Y/n pondered these thoughts, she felt a sense of gratitude wash over her. To be welcomed into the lives of such remarkable individuals, to work alongside them in nurturing and shaping the life of their son, Jack, was an honor beyond measure. She knew that under their guidance and with their support, she would not only thrive but also contribute to creating a loving and enriching environment for Jack to grow and flourish.
With a renewed sense of purpose and excitement, Y/n turned her attention back to the task at hand—preparing for the journey ahead. As she packed her belongings, her heart swelled with anticipation for the adventures that awaited her in Monaco, where she would embark on a new chapter of her life filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities.

✨️🖤Neptune is the planet of imagination. Its energy is related to dreams, illusions, and everything that connects us to the ethereal, the intangible, the artistic, and the mystical🖤✨️
🖤 Neptune in Aries: The energy of Neptune in Aries can lead to an idealistic search for independence and self-affirmation. People with this transit may feel a strong need to follow their intuitions rather than make rational decisions. Sometimes, this position can lead to confusion as to how to start new projects, as Aries' impulsiveness mixes with Neptune's lack of clarity.
🖤Neptune in Taurus: With Neptune in Taurus, the connection to the material world is seen through an idealistic lens. There is a tendency to idealize material security, financial stability, and possessions. This position can lead to dreams about luxury, but also a disconnection from reality when it comes to what is really needed to feel secure. Artistic creation through the earth, nature, or music can be important.
🖤Neptune in Gemini: In Gemini, Neptune expresses itself in a fluid and adaptable manner, but can also create confusion in communication. People with this position can be great at seeing multiple perspectives on a situation, but often have difficulty finding a clear path to the truth. Imagination feeds on words and thoughts, which can make them very creative in the field of writing or poetry.
🖤Neptune in Cancer: Neptune in Cancer is a position that accentuates empathy and emotional sensitivity. People with Neptune in Cancer can be highly intuitive, connected to the energy of home and family. However, they can also be prone to creating illusions about their family relationships or their past. This position fosters a strong connection to the spiritual realm and the need to care for others.
🖤Neptune in Leo: When Neptune is in Leo, creativity and self-expression become central themes. These people tend to idealize love, fun, and recognition, seeking to achieve perfection in the way they are seen by others. They may have a great passion for the arts, but may also be susceptible to confusion or disappointments related to their public image or personal identity.
🖤Neptune in Virgo: Neptune in Virgo can lead to an idealistic perception about perfection, work, and service to others. People with this position may have an incredible ability to see spiritual connection in everyday details, but may also become critical or disillusioned if things don't go their way.
🖤Neptune in Libra: Neptune in Libra seeks idealistic harmony in relationships. People with this position can be dreamers when it comes to love and justice, but they can also get caught up in illusions about what they expect from their partners or society. They have a great aesthetic sense and can be exceptional artists, but sometimes have a hard time seeing the reality of social or romantic dynamics.
🖤Neptune in Scorpio: In Scorpio, Neptune expresses itself in the depths of emotional and spiritual mysteries. People with this position can have an intense connection with the collective unconscious, being very intuitive about secrets and the occult. However, this position can also create confusion or delusions related to power, control, and intimate relationships. They seek personal transformation through the exploration of darker themes.
🖤Neptune in Sagittarius: Neptune in Sagittarius has an idealistic view of the world and a strong tendency toward philosophical spirituality. People with this position may have dreams about traveling, expanding their minds, and seeking universal truth, but they can sometimes fall into the trap of disillusionment if they cannot meet those high expectations. Exploring other people's culture and beliefs can be a great source of inspiration.
🖤Neptune in Capricorn: When Neptune is in Capricorn, ambition and structure blend with spirituality. People with this placement may have idealistic visions about success and power, but may have difficulty seeing the reality behind their goals. There may also be great potential to create a solid spiritual or artistic structure.
🖤Neptune in Aquarius: Neptune in Aquarius is a visionary placement. People with this placement tend to dream of a better future, with humanity and technology as instruments of change. Their idealism may lead them to envision a utopian world, but they sometimes find it difficult to ground those ideas in reality. They are highly creative and innovative, with a deep connection to the collective and the futuristic.
🖤Neptune in Pisces: Neptune in its own sign, Pisces, is the ultimate expression of Neptunian energy. Here, intuition, imagination, and spirituality merge harmoniously. People with this position are extremely empathetic, dreamy, and sensitive to the emotional states of others. They may feel especially connected to art, music, and the mystical, but may also be prone to confusion or avoidance of reality.

ahh!!! season two for Murderbot has been confirmed. here is some thoughts on potential adaptation routes for artificial condition as a book reader.
i was thinking about this last night before the news came out, but I wonder how they would portray ART in a live action format. ART is such an intangible presence imo, and I feel like it would be easier to portray in animation which can be more abstract.
But since the show is adapted to live action, I have some potential theories / ideas!
First of all, if the adaptation is intentionally expanding the story outside of just mb's perspective, how will ART and its perception of the world be brought into the story? I would love to see shots done entirely through its camera perspectives (that it doesn't tell mb about), or augmented camera feeds as it rides mb's own network in the field. I feel like an emphasis / expansion of the feed will be necessary for s2 overall, with ART engaging with mb primarily digitally in the books.
As far is how ART itself is portrayed, I really want it to stay abstract. As much as I love star treks holographic doctors, I feel like ART is more of a HAL presence. I want a cinematic shorthand where we know its there without necessarily a physically manifested presence. Obviously, voice acting would play a huge part in that. If there is a physical representation, like the teaching aid versions of ART we see in fanart sometimes, I would love for there to be a distinction between teaching tool ART and ART's more... omniscient presence.
Vibes? Preferable consistently threatening. I truly want to believe it would kill a man, because it would. But, then we get to snap between the many assumptions and established facts mb learns about ART. First, bot pilot -> then teaching vessel -> immeasurable threat -> friend -> armed and ready to kill -> therapist.
ART is truly multifaceted <3
Final thought:
Perihelion as its ship, its whole. ART as its self, its identity, its being.

too busy being yours isagi yoichi x fem!reader
Synopsis: if you asked him if he regrets losing you, he'd answer it a little too late.
Tags and Theme: angst, drabble, based on Hozier's cover of Do I Wanna Know, yearning, regret, Isagi being not so good at relationships
Author's Notes: welcome to the angsty story born from Hozier's soft and wonderful cover of a slightly toxic and bitter song by Arctic Monkeys. I hope you enjoy. As always, reblogs, likes, and comments are appreciated!
Photo cap from Jules et Jim (1962)
If you ask him what breathing is like, he'll tell you it's the first time he met her.
Because right now, he felt like he hadn't been breathing until he saw a glimpse of you, a year after losing you. He didn't expect to see you in the crowd, smiling at him when your eyes met for the first time in a long time. He thought he'd never see you again.
Your damn smile takes him back to the days when you two were still happy until you weren't.
It was a little too late for him to realize it. You were out the door, and he was a mess. As much as Isagi Yoichi was the most reliable, perceptive, and adaptable person on the field, crushing opponents with his tremendous skill and vision, he never brought those characteristics to a relationship. He was always a day late to an anniversary, an hour late for a restaurant reservation, a thought late before he spoke, and a step short of keeping you from leaving.
He always knew you were the one. You were so supportive of him, understanding, always there to listen when he recalled his games even if you saw the whole thing on the field, and so loving. He always thought you'd never run out of love with how you took care of him, lifted him when he overthought, held him as you sang him praises after every game, or even just did something as simple as opening a jar for you.
His heart always yearned for you after you left, just a phone call away from pouring his heart out after a tiring day, always just a text message away from asking where you were, always just there, so close. How could he lose you? You were the only one that held him together when the sport he's passionate about tore him apart as he moved to improve. How could he be so blind to how unhappy you were back then?
And now, here you were, smiling and singing praises again. He missed you so much that he held you, still sweaty and breathless from the game, asking you if you saw his goal and if you enjoyed the game, to which you answered yes. He wanted to ask if you missed him. He wanted to ask if he could try again with you. He wanted you back so bad. So when you pulled away, you smiled at him and said, "Isagi, this will be the last time you'll ever see me. I'm moving away."
"Goodbye, and I still love you... but that doesn't mean I want to try again."
And as always, he was too late as Isagi watched you walk out of the stadium and out of his life once again.

Mask will let the captain have this. Just this once. It wasn't just once.
Poor Mask kept falling to the ground. Luckily for him, either the captain or Tune are there to catch him
A continuation of THIS
Fun fact I didn't know until I started researching for this: apparently when someone looses an eye, it's possible that the other eye adapts. This is not good in the beginning as the remaining eye stops working for a while (???!). While long term it's not as noticeable (just less field of vision and some problems with depth perception sometimes) it's, uh... interesting :,D
Correct me if I'm wrong about this tho. I did my research, but sometimes there's misinformation out there so don't trust it 100% without checking it first.

honestly the MB show was fine. it was great as a show! would be my new favorite, if I hadn't read the books. Really really good on its own terms.
but man did it do these characters dirty. they took a group mostly defined by their strong competence in their fields, and made them all bumbling clowns. the presaux crew should be smart thoughtful emotionally mature academics and the show made them all dopes and fuckups. ESPECIALLY poor Ratthi. Look how they massacred my boy :(. And MB should be an emotional wreck, yes, but also a tactical genius who proactively takes control of every situation. instead they made it a baby who stumbles from situation to situation by dumb luck. it wins one fight in thirty seconds and otherwise just gets its ass kicked over and over.
all of its moments of skill and competence were cut (sneaking up on the hacked secunits in deltfall, organizing the retreat from the hab and setting up diversions and drones, having an actually good and successful plan for the final showdown and then adapting on the fly to a new, equally successful plan that involved beating another secunit and two layers of clever subterfuge) and replaced with dumb gags that rely on it being an idiot. fuckin "boldness is all." fuck off. they even invented the entire arc of this last episode from whole cloth to give it more opportunities to be helpless and hapless and need rescuing.
I feel like the people writing this show didn't understand how MB is an extremely unreliable narrator. MB says that PresAux are ridiculous naive incompetent hippies, and the writers thought that was actually accurate as opposed to MB's perceptions being very warped by corp rim standards and also a baseline "humans are stupid and incompetent" defense mechanism. MB refers to itself as always winning by luck and constantly being on the edge of death and failure, and the writers thought that was actually accurate as opposed to MB being extremely self-deprecating and failing to recognize that it's really fucking good at what it does.
sad! oh well there's books. I'll echo what a friend said, that hopefully they'll have to characterize MB as more self-willed and proactive and competent in the new season, because the plot of the next several books just doesn't work if it isn't.

light as a feather; stiff as a board
part two
jaguar!simon x crow!oc
cw) goofy teenage simon, brief mention of wanking, author is bad at slow burn……. not proofread
Wren had gotten used to the expansive campus. There always seemed to be a building for everything. Broken tooth? Don’t worry, there’s a dental wing in the med-bay. Broken heart? On-sight psychiatrist down the hall from the water fountains. This place was ready for anything — but it was a government building, so who was surprised?
It was a campus in the middle of London, though, so it seemed as dreary as the damn rest of London. Foggy mornings and humid afternoons. Wren was glad she’d always dressed light, the mix of humidity and sunshine sticking to her skin like honey.
And that guy from the rec-room? She saw him everywhere. With friends he seemed to open a bit more, studying with them in the library and teasing them with paper balls — and daring them to try weird food combos in the mess hall, but even with all the schedule overlaps he had with Wren, he just wouldn’t… talk to her. It was just terse nods and sidelong glances.
But what Wren had no clue about was that Simon was trying his hardest to avoid her. Sitting on opposites sides of the mess hall, trying to switch his plans around, etcetera. But he saw her, no, he smelt her everywhere. All traces of her fucking lingered.
And Simon tried to act uninterested. From that first moment they met on the couch. Tried to act like he was sleeping and not casting glances her way, observing supple skin and dotted freckles. But he smelt her even then, too.
Vanilla and lavender some days, and flowers other days. No matter what perfume, body wash, shampoo — Hell, even toothpaste — she used, he would always smell her. And he tried his damndest to not linger around where he knew she’d been. He felt strange, like he was breaching some kind of trust — trust that had not even been set yet.
But that all came to a halt the second month into their training.
Wren had been doing great, adapting quickly and discovering new abilities she didn’t even know she had.
Her eyes began adjusting to nighttime better, and her senses heightened. Her wings were larger, she supposed, stronger somehow. All shit that she never knew before. And Simon saw it.
He noticed her, breaking from her shell and growing. She wasn’t that timid teenager who sat on the opposite side of the couch from him anymore, she was growing and learning. And he envied those who got to be by her side everyday. Those who played card games with her and got to feel her feathers when they wrapped an arm around her for a photo.
So, he approached her. In the worst way possible, perhaps. Despite Simon’s natural (quite literally killer) instincts on the field and onslaught of abilities… he was socially daft.
Wren was in the rec room that evening, dressed in comfy clothes and cozied up with some romance book that probably was not regulation. Her wings lazily spread out comfortably behind her. Simon loomed over her, just blinking down at her at first.
She was relaxed, he knew that. That was good. People were beat perceptive when relaxed. She looked up at him through dorky lenses — still furious that she needed glasses for reading. Heightened senses and yet, she couldn’t read text? Wow.
“Can I help you?” She asked, and Simon would’ve taken this as an insult if it were anyone else. Would’ve made it seem like he was being talked down to, but this was Wren. Wren was always kind and charming. She set her book aside, giving Simon her undivided attention. He felt nervous now.
“I want to eat you.” He said, leaving out some crucial details. Wren’s face contorted, furrowed brows and her lips turned inwards. She didn’t look mad. Just confused. Wait, what did he say?
“Straightforward. I like it.” Wren laughed softly, surprising herself just a bit. What the Hell happened to her? Two months ago she could barely approach anyone without her wings flapping wildly with anxiety. Now, she’s just been threatened (maybe?) and she’s pretty unfazed.
“No. Eat out.” He corrected, making everything worse. Wren made a strangled sort of noise — laughing? — oh! She thought he was funny. Wait, no, was she laughing at him?
“What are you asking me for?” Wren said after a moment of amused confusion. Simon stared down at her.
“Dinner.”
“Yes, what kind?”
“We can get takeaway.”
“So you don’t want to eat me out?” She clarified.
“No.” Simon said slowly, unsure. After a moment of deliberation, he decided it was a firm no. As far as his sexual expertise went, well… there was none. He was too bulky, too grabby, too toothy to have ever been intimate before. He was sure Wren could tell.
Actually, he was sure now that Wren knew everything about him. That’s why she was smiling at him like that. She felt bad, he was sure. She knew about his dad, his mom, and his brother. She knew. He couldn’t hide. She saw it all, using soft talons to peel away layers of skin and read trauma straight from bone. Oh, shit, is he still standing here?
“Do you want to sit with me?” She offered, lifting her blanket like an olive branch. Simon stilled. After a moment of hesitation, he nodded and sat. He caught her wing under his hip as he sat and she yelped. Simon nearly dropped to his to beg for forgiveness before —
“Sorry, I should’ve moved my wing.” She rolled her eyes at herself. Simon shook his head and helped her adjust her wing to a comfortable position. He slung his arm over the back of the couch, leaning over to take a peek at her book. She slapped it shut, shaking her head. “No! You can’t read this.”
Simon raised a curious eyebrow, more comfortable as minutes passed. “‘N why not?”
“It’s a little… risqué. This part, anyway.” She explained, and Simon snorted. He took the book anyway, and Wren watched raptly as he read the lines.
“Jesus, what is this?” That guy touched her what? He stuck his fingers where?! Is he even allowed to be reading this? He felt like his mom would pop over his shoulder any moment and scold him. But she wouldn’t. She couldn’t. So he scoffed softly and shook his head, a lazily grin helping his eyes squint — because maybe she couldn’t see the pain behind them if he was squinting.
“I told you!” She said, snatching the book back. Simon laughed lowly, a rumbling noise reminiscent of a jaguar’s growl.
“Nasty, nasty girl,” Simon said absentmindedly, looking at his phone — not noticing the side eye from the Wren at his words. He was too busy focusing on the ‘no new notifications’ screen to keep himself from sniffing her fucking neck. Her scent straight from the source. She smelt like the little bird she was. She smelt like prey. No. Simon wouldn’t let himself go there.
The two sat in the quiet room for the rest of the evening, basking in each other’s presence and just chatting randomly. Wren grew a liking to this boy, learning his name as Simon.
But of course Simon knew her. He knew her name, her smell, her smile. And all of it from a distance, like a fucking weirdo. From catching glances of her — feeling like he’s intruding on her own little private world. It was about 2200 before either of them moved from their little bubble.
“Will you be in the mess hall for breakfast tomorrow?” Wren asked Simon as she gathered her things, her fluffy blanket slung in the crook of her arm and her book snugged under her armpit. Simon nodded, standing and looming over her again.
He thanked any listening God for his height because the way Wren’s face looked as she looked up at him, eyes peaking through her eyelashes. Fuck. She had an iron grip on him and she wasn’t even reaching out yet. Yet. Yet is a good thought.
“I eat.” He nodded, like a soldier following an order. Wren giggled softly and nodded back.
“Good to know. See you tomorrow, Simon.”
Simon went home and shamefully wanked that night.

Medic and Spy as cluster B (analysis)
I am well aware that a great many people (including the other clusters in the classification of mental illness and even some professionals) view cluster B negatively and even dismissively, however I am very eager to share with you my headcanons on these divas.
Read here 🠗🠗🠗🠗
Well I'm assuming narcissistic personality disorder in Spy and, in Delitanian terms, “psychopathy” in Medic (narcissistic personality disorder + antisocial personality disorder).
Let's start with the Spy. I find a lot of correlations between the classical description of NPD and Lacan's stage of the mirror. In brief, this is the stage in which the child acquires his own self by being captured by an image that impresses him, and it causes him to want to conform to that image. This is also where the function of social mimicry, which we use to adapt in society, is acquired.
Now look at Spy's adaptive functions. Isn't that amazing? Not only is he a professional in his field, but he also very clearly has a naturally developed sensitivity to imitation. This function includes both observation and theatricality, which helps to embody the image seen in reality.
The ability to imitate, to mimic, to repeat body language, speech, intonation, to get into a role.... All this is possible if you hardly know yourself. A person who does not suffer from excessive mimicry and behavioral patterns simply has no need to pretend.
Spy's distorted perception of himself is indicative of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Surprised that NPD isn't just about hurting others, manipulating, belittling others in a desire to elevate and assert oneself?
Of course, his snobbery and rudeness are also relevant here, but these are symptoms rather than the disease itself. He's a long way from the legendary paichoasthenia; sure, he has a preferred behavior pattern, but is it real? I can assure you that Spy has a huge problem with his sense of identity.
Even many professional actors are capable of getting confused at some point. So it's not 'just a job' Everything has a cause and effect relationship, including these career choices.
He may have basic preferences, interests and motives, but the personality structure in the form of a system of values and principles suffers, fixating on his own ego and a sense of isolation from others. By distancing himself from other people, empathy is minimized, as a result of which manipulation and disdain arise. Quite an interesting and indicative character. People with NPD often resort to mimicry for the sake of benefit, and the gameplay of Spy is literally about this.
But with Medic, things are a little more complicated. Unlike Spy, his problems do not make him suffer, but on the contrary, work to his advantage (his passion and god syndrome). Despite the fact that he clearly does not experience mental anguish, he is still a deviation from the norm. Personality disorders in psychology are pathological characteristics that are considered 'socially unacceptable', it is not just about feeling bad.
Narcissistic disorder has two variations:
Huge ego, born as a consequence of difficult life conditions, where this disorder is acquired as a consequence of violence, after which the person becomes arrogant and contemptuous (Spy) and further has problems with self-perception. It is often associated with pompousness, the desire to prove one's superiority.
Or the same huge ego resulting from lack of empathy and lack of shame/guilt. These are usually people from well-to-do families, often spoiled as children, who think they are better than others by definition. They don't even try to look better, they are convinced of their superiority. This is often called grandiosity.
I don't think Medic is exactly such a case (I'm talking about the background), but hear me out, I have reasons why he belongs to the second type of narcissists. Let's talk about the antisocial component in Medic's personality. Meanness, manipulativeness, cruelty, sadism. He masks all these traits well thanks to the adaptive functions of the NPD. His disorders are complementary. He lives in harmony with himself lol
I have a headcanon that as a child, Medic was a fairly typical child with undiagnosed ASPD. This includes disinterest, lack of a wide range of emotions, inability to identify with other people, and of course, manifestations of sadism in childhood
People who have only ASPD usually adapt poorly to society (although it is worth remembering that each disorder manifests itself differently), but having NPD, Medic mimicked well and found something to do. He likes medicine because he is never bored in this 'hobby'. Boredom is the main driver of sadism in ALL people. And with ASPD, this 'boredom' takes destructive forms, since the individual experiences few emotions.
In the case of Medic, I think his form of boredom has not taken a completely constructive form (interest in helping other people, naturally, has never developed) since he does everything for his own benefit, for entertainment. It is precisely because he has a sincere interest in medicine that we see him in such euphoria and excitement, interest.
It's the only thing that makes him feel alive - to be caught up in what makes OTHERS alive.
Medic is egocentric because he is unable to identify himself with another person. He considers himself superior to others, different from others. That is why his 'hand will not tremble' when he operates on his patient. Even if he himself is lying on the operating table, he will not feel vulnerable, will not associate himself with other people whom he operated on. His perception of himself is distorted and is not normal, so I believe that he has a narcissistic personality disorder.
And by the way, people with antisocial personality disorder are not uncommon in medicine…

hii!! first of all, i looove ur blog 💗 also, neuroscience is one of my options of professional path after i graduate my biology uni !! its so great to see fellow future scientists talking about shifting.
now, can i have ur opinion on this specific post? i would love to hear!!
https://www.tumblr.com/kurd1shangel/780124618910564352/shifting-is-essentially-a-conscious-transition?source=share
hii angel!! ₊˚⊹♡ thank you SO MUCH, it’s always exciting to connect with fellow science students who also explore the concept of shifting! 🥹🫶
neuroscience is SUCH an exciting and ever-expanding field to get into, especially if you’re interested in consciousness, perception, etc. (all super relevant to reality shifting)! there are SO MANY fascinating neuroscientific correlates to dive into, and you’ll have so much fun! 🤍
now let’s get into the post you sent!! <3
♡ QUICK NOTE: no ill intent at all to the original creator of the post i’ll be discussing! if their explanation resonates with them and supports their reality, that’s AMAZING, and i fully respect that. 🫶 this post just reflects my own interpretation based on both my neuroscience background and personal experiences. we’re all the operant power in our own realities, and i’m simply sharing the perspective that feels most true to me <3
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
🍰✨ MY THOUGHTS ON THE POST
the post is partially grounded in neuroscience, but there are some nuances worth unpacking. it’s true that the brain can GENERATE immersive, vivid experiences (like dreams, hallucinations, guided meditation, deep states of hypnosis). these involve shifts in brainwave activity, such as entering theta (3.5-7.5 Hz) or delta (0.5-4Hz) states, which are associated with deep relaxation, sleep, and access to the subconscious.

Figure: Human brainwave types and associated states of consciousness. Gamma, beta, alpha, theta, and delta waves are shown with their typical frequency ranges and related mental functions (Muse, n.d.).
it’s also valid to say that the brain often doesn’t differentiate much between real and imagined stimuli. studies using fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) have shown that when we VISUALIZE something intensely, the SAME brain regions light up as if we’re actually experiencing it. this is why visualization + repetition can rewire neural pathways over time, thanks to neuroplasticity, which is your brain’s ability to adapt and form new connections.
but personally, i believe that framing shifting as something purely generated by and confined to the brain, like with lucid dreaming or dissociation, misses something important: our CONSCIOUSNESS.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
🍨✨ LUCID DREAMING vs SHIFTING (my take)
lucid dreaming is typically bound to REM sleep, and while it’s powerful and fascinating, it’s still rooted in your current reality’s subconscious content (Voss et al., 2018). you’re AWARE that you’re DREAMING, and that awareness gives you control within the dream (like flying or changing the setting).
scientifically, lucid dreaming involves partial reactivation of the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for things like self-awareness and logical thinking. these parts are usually inactive during normal dreams. but even then, you’re still in a SLEEP CYCLE, and the dream world is often unpredictable or shaped by memories, stress, and emotions from waking life.
shifting, on the other hand, is not just about becoming aware in a dream or hallucinating vividly. it’s a deliberate, conscious REDIRECTION of AWARENESS—you are choosing to focus your consciousness/soul (whatever you personally call it) into a specific, stable reality.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
🍨✨ SHIFTING = SUBJECTIVE REALITY SELECTION, not a vivid illusion
you’re not passively watching your subconscious play out a storyline. you’re INTENTIONALLY ALIGNING with a chosen identity, timeline, and experience. you’re not just imagining, you’re experiencing. and neurologically, your brain supports that process, but it DOESN’T DEFINE OR LIMIT it.
that’s part of why i see shifting as subjective reality selection, not merely a vivid illusion. you’re not “tricking” your brain or having it “convince” you that your reality is real. because reality is subjective. you create and experience your reality. i create and experience mine. your assumptions become your truth, and my assumptions become my truth. we can have different assumptions, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that one person’s assumption is “more true” than another’s.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖
🍨✨ LOA DISCLAIMER
and of course, at the end of the day, whatever you assume to be true becomes truth in your subjective experience. shifting is deeply personal, and your interpretation matters. if a more brain-based explanation helps you feel safe and in control, that’s beautiful and valid!
but from my own reflections, lived experiences, and the scientific readings i’ve done, i don’t personally see shifting as just your brain making something up while your physical body lies still. to me, that still anchors your identity to the 3D body, as if it’s the only real “you.” you choose which version of reality to tune into, thought by thought, choice by choice.
so while the brain supports immersive experiences through concepts like brainwaves and neuroplasticity, i believe shifting goes BEYOND that. it’s not just simulation or illusion. it’s an intentional, conscious act of selecting a different version of reality to embody and experience.
. ★⋆. ࿐࿔ ✦ . . ˚ .ੈ✧̣̇˳·˖

Chishiya and Niragi’s introductions are extremely similar.

Notice how they’re both physically above everyone in the games we see them play; both of them being at the highest point they could possibly be. They’re also talking down to their teammates and/or opponents – Niragi yells at Last Boss for “taking something” away from him, and Chishiya outright says he’s better than his opponent.
Chishiya later says, when Karube and the other players are trying to take down the horse dealer, “They’re idiots if they’re trying to change the rules”; just like Niragi, he’s talking down to his own teammates in this situation.
(Another thing to note is they aren’t on foot with everyone else; while Arisu, Usagi, Karube, and everyone else in the 5♤ are on foot searching for the safe room, Chishiya stays back. While Last Boss, Aguni, and the other militants are on foot attempting to slaughter those animals, Niragi sits back from a distance, much like Chishiya.)
In both cases, they’re putting themselves above everyone else both intellectually and physically. Niragi glazes himself on his gunmanship skills and Chishiya does the exact same thing for his intellectual skills.
But, when Chishiya confronts Niragi on the roof, they’re on an equal playing field. This is the first time we see them, up to that point, putting themselves on the same level as someone else, which reflects what Chishiya said: “You piss me off, it’s like I’m looking at myself.”
They’re equals, they’ve always been equals, and the rooftop confrontation physically reflects their perceptions of one another. In a way, what Yaba said to Enji, “The basis to trust someone is equality," can apply to them as well.
Niragi and Chishiya don’t trust each other, don’t get it twisted, but they also know no one else understands them the way they understand each other. (Which is why laying together, bleeding out is so special to me…like once again, they are equals here. They're sharing their most vulnerable moment TOGETHER.)
IMHO, I think that’s what was missing from the adaptation: that equality between them. In nearly every scene of them together, it’s Chishiya taking the high ground when they are equals, whether the fandom likes it or not😭
Anyways, those are just my thoughts. Feel free to add onto anything I’ve said! :p

Project Eden's Garden Theories + Minor Analysis 🍎
Not a specific death order theory, just an excuse to yap because I'm hyperfixating
This is very long and it probably doesn't make sense.
🐍 Damon Maitsu- Ultimate Debater
Obviously everybody has the mastermind theory. It's the garden of eden and Satan was the snake. I do agree with the Satan analogy, but more so as an "outer" symbolism as opposed to an "inner" symbolism. Let me explain that better. I think that Damon will come of as antagonistic to the group because he says the right things in the wrong way. Like how he was trying to help everyone by telling them not to trust each other, but he was a dick about. Damon will play the Devil in the perception of the cast, but I don't believe that he will be actually behind the Killing Game.
🐦⬛ Eva Tsunaka - Ultimate Liar
I understand the first culprit theory. Eva is a similar name to Eve, Eve is the first human to sin, Eva is the first cast member to kill. That makes sense, but I see her taking on a more Kirigiri kind of role. Smart girl sort of side protag actively tries to hunt down the mastermind. However, since she's the Ultimate Liar and the cast already seems distrustful of her, I could see Eva discovering the secret to the killing game or the true mastermind but no body believes her which either leads to Eva killing the mastermind, or the mastermind killing/framing her. (Like Junko trying to frame Kirigiri in chapter five.)
🦈 Desmond Hall - Ultimate Marksman
I don't have much for Desmond. I feel like he'll either be a victim or a survivor. I can't see him as a culprit. At least not intentionally. I could see him trying to protect someone and killing their attacker in the process on accident, but I lean more towards a victim for him.
🦢 Eloise Taulner - Ultimate Fencer
I see Eloise as a survivor, but I lean towards a culprit. It's not a strong theory, but I see them trying to flip the shrinking violet trope on its head. In the chapter one preview from the San Antonio game expo we see Wolfgang trying to "help" Eloise by offering to walk with her before they go exploring and she seems to get annoyed with him. I could see this being a way to show that Eloise isn't a fragile as she let's on.
🦩 Toshiko Kayura - Ultimate Matchmaker
I want to believe that since she's literally a baby that she won't die, but part of me believes that since she's so young she will die. My current theory is that she's either the chapter one or two victim. I could definitely see the team choosing to kill her off early as a sort of "shock value" for the cast. Because I'm sure seeing a child get murdered would be more psychologically damaging then seeing an adult die. I'll be honest my Toshiko theory is kind of weak.
🐻 Wenona - Ultimate Entrepreneur
I see Wenona as a kind of Celeste character. The whole "if you do not adapt, you will die" mindset. I could see her staying distant from the group the majority if the time. I think that she will be a culprit, chapter three specifically. In the chapter on trailer we see during her free time event that the bear symbolism they gave her represents strategy. I feel like she'll have a really complex murder plot since she's obviously smart. She's also a Native American woman in the field of business. That's obviously not something easy. I highly doubt that she would give it up so easily. Plus, she's a billionaire. As much as I love Wenona, she's evil.
🦉 Ulysses Wilhelm - Ultimate Historian
Let me start by saying tat he is my favorite. Unfortunately, that means he's going to die. He writes everything in his notebook, if that doesn't sound like a major point of discussion in a trial, I don't know what does. I could also see him surviving, but I lean more towards a victim for him. The only reason I seem him surviving is that there could be this big moment in the final trial where they have to connect several seemingly unrelated notes in his notebook to find the big mystery or whatever. Anyway, I love him and if he dies I will lose it.
🐊 Mark "Mayhem" Berskii - Ultimate Music Producer
I can see Mark as a victim or a culprit and both of them revolve around Jett. As we see in the prologue, Mark is a very shy and reserved person. Obviously this paints a target on his back and any character who has a close friendship is another death flag. I could see him being killed and Jett falling into despair, or killing somebody with Jett.
💄Diana Venicia - Ultimate Cosmetologist
Diana is a character who I feel very strongly about as a survivor. It's not a strong theory, but it's just what feels right. Most people take the chameleon symbolism to be negative, but I don't see it as good or bad. I think it just emphasize that Diana is your average sixteen year old girl blending in with the crowd. She'd not a threat, she isn't aggressive, she just a teenaged girl. She is kind, she is helpful, she loves makeup. She just wants to love her life. She's so plain that she'll blend in and she will live.
🐑 Wolfgang Akire - Ultimate Lawyer
Oh boy, here we go. This is the big one. I believe that Wolfgang will either be a victim or a survivor. He will be the antagonist, but he is not a villain. Like I said for Damn who says the right thing in the wrong ways, Wolfgang will say the wrong thing is the right ways. I truly believe that Wolfgang has good intentions, but he is so optimistic and passionate that he lets his savior complex to bring everybody into a more vulnerable state. Like Damon's snake symbolism alluding to him bring the "devil" to the group, Wolfgang's sheep symbolism shows him as the "angel" to the group. The lamb of God, the Messiah, the guardian angel. He wants to save everybody, but he can't because he doesn't accept the horrible truth of the group's situation. He wants to believe that he can bring them to salvation, but a man can never be a God. My other theory is that he will be a final chapter sacrifice. A death is necessary for the group to escape and he will accept his new role of Martyrdom. Letting him finally become the savior he wanted to for the entire game.
🦋 Kai Monteago - Ultimate Influencer
Butterflies represent change, the butterfly effect. Kai will be the first culprit and this will lead to more fear without the group causing more people to want to kill. The flap of his wings will cause the tornado of death that will plague the group for the rest of the game. Short theory, but I feel strongly about it.
🐺 Jett Dawson - Ultimate Drag Racer
As I stated with Mark's theory, I see Jett as a culprit. Either Mark will be a victim and Jett will fall into despair driving him to murder in a later chapter, or he will kill somebody to escape with Mark. The only way this would work is a motive we're the backend can bring one person with them to the outside or they find a way for Jett and Mark to both equally be held accountable as the culprit. Though I'm not sure how something lijrme that could happen since the only instance is in SDRA2 chapter three and the plan behind that was bizarre (in a good way) and I doubt they could replicate anything similar.
🦁 Ingrid Grimwall - Ultimate Blacksmith
Ingrid is the only character I can't really think of anything for. I just have a strong feeling that she won't survive. Sorry.
🐲 Jean Delamer - Ultimate Ship Captain
I can see Jean as a chapter five victim. Since we see in the chapter one demo that he takes the hope speech guy role, I can see him dying fairly late in the game either as an "easy target" or since he's getting in the way of more murders happening.
🕷 Cassidy Amber - Ultimate Pro Gamer
I see Cassidy as a survivor, but I don't have any evidence. I just can't think of a theory for her as a victim, or as a culprit. She could also be the true mastermind, which is a fairly popular theory. That makes some sense considering her spider symbolism and the whole "tangled in a web" metaphor.
Thanks for reading!
Feel free to tell me any other theories you have!
