Finally got to start playing Oblivion Remastered. You can tell it was a labor of love, and the developers were determined to do it right and also do the original game justice. And yes, I cried a little when that familiar aerial shot of the Imperial City came up, the music swelled and the game title credits appeared. 🙂

It's good to be back home in Cyrodiil. But now I also want to cross-reference locations between Second Era and Third Era Tamriel. I have a feeling I'm going to find a whole lot more of the familiar places as I go. 😁

Wisdom Saga Ranking

Okay, so first off I literally had to sing to keep myself awake during the livestream (started getting tired around the Circe Saga). I still have mixed feelings about this saga but over all I like it.

1. Little Wolf - This is probably my favorite. I loved the animatic for it!! (I think it was based on Mortal Kombat, sorry not the biggest video game geek). I loved the way Athena was reintroduced into EPIC. And also so relatable. You get a great power up but you still lose to the boss.

2. Legendary - The animatic and Argos lmao! 🤣 Anyway, this song turned pretty dark during the suitors’ verse. You can definitely already tell they’re planning to take the throne and Penelope by force. It’s a total bop lmao.

3. We’ll Be Fine - I did hear the lyric changes and I am a little sad Telemachus might not have gone to Pylos and Sparta (like he does in the Odyssey). I love Teagan’s singing in this song but I feel like it ended kind of abruptly.

Uhhh I don’t know where to rank Love in Paradise and God Games.

Love in Paradise: As a story, this song works. As a song just to listen, maybe not as much. I always thought the time dive would be in the middle of the song. I guess not? Gigi’s animatic for the song definitely makes Calypso very adorkable. Im pretty neutral about Calypso’s characterization in EPIC because I think it’s important we establish that Odyssey!Calypso is not the same as EPIC!Calypso (because it’s an adaptation duh). It almost seems to be implied that even though Odysseus was spared in Thunder Bringer, Zeus still punished him by stranding him. Like, it seems that Calypso might almost be influenced by Zeus? I’m not sure how to explain it, but like I’m trying to say Zeus played a hand in Odysseus’ seven year stay on Ogygia (which is why he’s so mad at the end of God Games.) I’m also very glad we still get to see how seven years with a woman he didn’t want messed up Odysseus. I know he’s also got trauma from other stuff, but it’s still good to see that he is barely clinging to sanity because of Calypso. Also, those notes Odysseus sings right before he calls out to Athena. It almost sounds like he’s saying “home” (that’s how I’ve been singing it anyway)

God Games: I think this song is so fucking cool. But it suffers from some of the choices of the gods featured in this song. I will stand by the fact that Apollo didn’t need to be in this song. He’s like the boss that’s way too easy, even for beginning players. Hephaestus’ reason made a little more sense. Also bonus points for being voiced by Jay’s dad. Aphrodite and Ares felt like the actual first boss fight. Their verses were longer and while their reasons may still be a little iffy, we got to see some hesitation from the gods. Hera’s verse was pretty cool just cause of how groovy it is, but she also seemed to be convinced a little too easy. I don’t know. Zeus…oh my god. Jay needs to bring Luke for one more song. He was so badass in that song! Also:

Ares(? I don’t know which god said): “Is she (Athena) dead?”

Also the previous song: “Goddesses can’t die.”

I loved the instrumental and the animatic that went along with it. It really reminds me of the Thunder Saga trailer and that little melody at the end of Thunder Bringer.

Also, Gwendy’s animatic for the end of God Games is just so fucking amazing. It literally looks like an anime. I need EPIC: The Anime after all of these animatics. Jay did so much for the Wisdom Saga and I love it.

So as I said in my previous post, I've been debating changing Russell's character tag. I have some ideas of what I could use, but I wanted to ask which you'd all prefer, or whether to even change it at all. So I have made a poll.

Thinking about the dynamic for my Spacedolls Miraculous AU, and it's practically the same as the dynamic outlined by this post (credit goes to @sleepboysummer).

Basically, Ricky Potts starts falling in love with the mysterious animal-loving girl in the back of his class, but keeps it to himself, in order to not make things weird. Who would want to make out with "tambourine guy" anyways? As of now, any action Ricky might make towards her is limited to wooing the suspiciously-familiar sexy cat lady they drew in their sketchbook. If only he ever knew just how that mysterious girl feels about him, even if everybody but him can see it.

On the other hand, Penny Lamb can't help but fall in love with the mute comic book geek in her class. Every passionate flap of their arms, all of the facial expressions they make in lieu of actual words, the way they take care of any stray cat they see, it makes her heart go complete bananas! She just wants nothing more than to spend time with the adorkable sweetheart, even if she can't talk to him without stumbling over her words and blushing so hard you can see it from space.

As the protectors of Uranium City against Akumas, however, no longer are they a just pair of awkward nerds. They are now the most heroic duo in town: Bachelorbug and Ragdoll! And, wouldn't you know it, they are some of the most confident flirtatious heroes you'll ever find. And their favorite targets? Each other! But they are equal parts lover and fighter, and they would not let evil go un-purified!

Gale ramble (spoilers , so under the cut) (pretty screen so it won't be empty )

Gale was so deadly serious, his ex , a Goddess who (in his words) played with him and tossed him away, wanted him to sacrifice himself. And he was so ready to die. Not to mention that romance scene started very dramatically, even tho he turned to be very creative with expressing his love, it's hard to concentrate on anything other than " dude that I love is very scared and getting ready to die" . And then I took him to the last act 2 fight to face the Absolute, he was still ready to die for the greater good and it took just one *fuck everyone, choose me and live* for him to keep living. That's easy. I mean, for me it's 100 hours of playing, not really easy, a whole life for a character and I can headcanon that they spent a lot of evenings bounding. But damn, it was like *we slept once, now I'm yours forever*. And he said I love you more than Mystra and myself.. that's...awkward.. please love yourself, live for yourself.. If he is THAT easy to manipulate, I imagine his past experience was pretty meh. A talented magician who is easy to manipulate must attract weird people.

So even tho I really liked his magical flex in the second romance scene and my tav was happy to let him flex because he put so much effort in it, I'm sad that the option where you ask him to stay as he is, a human in flesh, is so short. It's like couple minutes long. I really want more options that shows that his lover loves him for who he is, not for his magic =_= An adorkable awkward geek person who keeps Scratch's ball in his tent, cooks for everyone (thanks Gale for 5 bottles of vine and 1 piece of Waterdeep cheese ) and being very optimistic even in the most horrible situations. And who really excited to go book shopping in the act 3

..and also something bugged and now I have option to tell Kralach that I want to be with Gale. I rejected her in her first romance scene, I never showed any interest in anyone else. End even worse, If you choose that bugged option to break up with her,IT STAYS. so you can break up again and again and again and again..it's horrible!! and also.. does Emperor watch character's romances... like a cool tv show, directly from your head and your partner's head. He is like "hohohoho I know what Gale have in mind, can't wait to see tav's reaction!!"

Damn he is such a sad character, desire to comfort a game character is really strong

Listen. Mark Grayson is the definition of “awkward, cute, and so incredibly powerful you don’t even realize how strong he is until he does something completely insane.”

And I don’t just mean the whole “Invincible” thing—though yes, he is a literal superhero with more raw potential than the entire Justice League put together.

But Mark? He’s so much more than that. He’s:

Adorkable as hell. Like, seriously, when he’s not in “I’m-Invincible” mode, he’s the nerd who tries so hard but still gets caught up in the chaos around him. He’s still a kid, figuring out who he is, what his role is in this huge world, and honestly, he feels like a walking, talking messy-haired pile of potential.

So incredibly passionate. Mark has this crazy passion for justice, doing what’s right, saving people—but it’s not always easy. His ideals often clash with reality, and he’s torn between wanting to protect the world and facing the harsh truths that not everything works out the way it should.

Emotionally honest. He doesn’t hide his feelings. He’s out there, vulnerable, angry, hurt, but still trying to do his best. He’s literally the “trying-to-do-the-right-thing” guy, and like, we all need more of that energy in the world.

I’ve been watching Invincible and like—no spoilers—but the way Mark carries the weight of his world, his emotions, and the expectations of being a superhero… it’s both heart-wrenching and SO relatable. He’s this good-hearted, naive guy just trying to figure things out, and like—can you even blame me for falling in love with him?

Now, let’s talk about his nerdy side:

This boy adores comics. Not just because he’s a superhero but because he’s a fan of them too. You can feel his excitement for the world he’s part of, even when that world is seriously messed up. The moment he tries to be just a normal kid again—like when he’s just chilling with friends and geeking out over random stuff—there’s this energy about him that feels like a boy you want to take home to meet your parents.

And the passion? Don’t get me started on the passion. He wants to protect the world, he wants to be good, and yeah, he’s imperfect—but his drive? It’s infectious. When he gets caught in the conflict of his emotions, his superhero responsibilities, and his personal life—that’s where Mark shines. He feels so real because of his flaws, his self-doubt, and that desire to do better.

Mark Grayson is THE superhero. He’s the boy who tries his hardest, feels everything deeply, and still somehow finds the courage to be the hero when it counts. And for me? That’s the most adorable, relatable, and attractive thing about him.

And if you want me to be real honest? I would die for him. Literally. If he wanted to just sit in a room and read comics together, I’d consider that a perfect date.

Ughhh, why do I love him so much? That chokehold though… is real. (Season three ending) I can’t wait a year without a new episode it’s killing me.

i needed more of her pre-vamp so fucking badly. she was so adorkable. so cutez. such a fangirl. i wish her arch in the show wasnt so poorly handeled and they kept her, atleast a bit adorkable. like letting her be a nerd without being "b-but ur a girl!" or "#feminism girls can 2 it 2!" but just. idk normally having her dork out about the media she loves.

i could maybe write until the sun explodes on how mbav cant write its female characters correctly but i think a majority of the biggest fans are girls (or transgender) and its just. weird how badly the show messes this up. they can write boy geek nerds perfectly fine but sarah and erica can kinda suffer from having the same/swapped personalities depending on the writer

"THE RED WIDOW" YUKIMORI TROPES

Adorkable: She is a huge anime/manga/video game nerd, and is especially a tremendous fan of Kamen Rider. She will adorably geek out over any of these things. 

All-Loving Hero: While not an Aspect of Love like her mother, Yuki Marie’s cheeriness and bright and happy attitude makes it easy for a lot of people (babyfaces and sometimes even heels) to genuinely like her. 

Ambiguously Bi: Yuki Marie has teased that she may have a boyfriend… or a girlfriend… implying she’s as bisexual as her mother.

Badass Adorable: Yuki Marie is cute as a button, sweet and cheerful to boot. But she will throw down with opponents larger than herself with fearless bravado. 

Berserk Button: Harm her friends in any way shape or form, she will hold a very strong grudge. And she’ll probably beat you within an inch of your life if you REALLY make her mad. 

Beware The Nice Ones: As bright and cheery as Yuki Marie is and as much as she will attempt to befriend her enemies than defeat them… if they go too far, they will most likely hurt. 

Bully Hunter: Often calling herself the “Anti-Bully Ranger,” she will defend other kids from being bullied, though she often takes a non-violent approach to it. In the world of pro-wrestling though, she will take a more physical approach to dealing with those who abuse their power. 

Character Tic: She says “okie” rather than “okay” in a rather cute fashion, often when responding to people. She also never swears, a trait she picked up from her parents. 

Cute Bruiser: She may be cute and petite, but she can still pack one heck of a wallop.

Deadpan Snarker: A trait she picked up from her mother.

Determinator: Oh boy is she ever. Given she channels her fear into raw, focused determination during her matches, it can be pretty impressive. During her match with Habit, she was kicking out of their finishers almost IMMEDIATELY; the fear she felt dealing with someone as demonic as Habit literally kept her going throughout the entire match!

The Ditz: She’s often called a goofball by her peers. Rightfully so considering her overall attitude.

Dull Surprise: Given her innate ability to channel fear into determination, her reaction to things that would shock or scare other people is often this. Followed by the response of “oh okay.”

Expy: Yuki Marie has often touted that Hibiki Tachibana (from Symphogear) is her “spirit animal” as they share a lot of similar characteristics. She has also shared similarities with One Piece’s Monkey D. Luffy, Kamen Rider Kuuga’s Yūsuke Godai, and Kamala “Ms. Marvel” Kahn.

Fearless Fool: Just as her mother channels her fear into excitement towards fighting stronger opponents, Yuki Marie channels her fear into raw focused determination, and determination into resiliency, making her exceptionally difficult to defeat. She will also leap into certain danger at a moment’s notice to defend her friends, even if it may eventually get her potentially hurt.

Genki Girl: Very energetic, very cheerful. Not a lot can get her down, and if a friend of hers feels down, she’s quick to give them a reassuring hug. 

Glowing Eyes Of Doom: Only when she’s in the ring wearing her Yukimori attire; the helmet she has on has a glowing visor.

Hope Bringer: Yuki Marie is more an Aspect of Hope than anything else, instilling that hope to kids who get picked on by bullies in school. This can also extend into the world of professional wrestling as well, as she would defeat Habit to win her first title, instilling hope for a new, heroic champion.

Immune To Mind Control: It was recently revealed that due to her great x3 grandfather's parentage with the Angel Samael, Yuki Marie's mind (and for that matter, her mother's as well) may be immune to any and all forms of mind control. It is connected to her immunity from insanity, as covered below.

Incorruptible Pure Pureness: Much like her mother, Yuki Marie does not have an evil thought in her head. Even if she has to go to extremes in a match, it’s never out of pure malice. 

Insanity Immunity: Connected with her immunity to mind control, it is speculated that Yuki Marie can look directly at an Angel's true appearance and not go insane or die outright upon seeing its eldritch form. This may also apply to Great Old Ones, and perhaps even Cthulhu himself.

Meaningful Name: Her first name is “Yuki” (chosen by her mother) and her middle name is “Marie” (chosen by her father). When spoken in Japanese “Yukimori” can mean “forest snow.” 

Nice Girl: Yuki Marie is incredibly empathetic, sometimes even to sworn enemies.

Ninja: Given her mother is one, of course Yuki Marie would be trained as one too. A chunin level kunoichi, she knows how to hide in plain sight, stay as quiet as humanly possible, and use the environment as her shroud... or as a weapon, if need be.

Oblivious To Love: Averted. She has hinted in the past that she might already have a boyfriend (or girlfriend) but that was a bluff. At the moment she in caught in a benign love triangle with two childhood friends; Nora Moning and Shin Aogane. It will remain to be seen which one she will eventually choose.

Plucky Girl: Very brave and very determined in the ring. And sometimes OUT of the ring. She will never give up without a fight because that’s how she was taught. 

Screw The Rules, I’m Doing What’s Right!: Yuki Marie will defend people even if doing so would cause her nothing but trouble. 

Super Toughness: Fear channeled into determination, determination channelled into resiliency. Meaning Yuki Marie is able to take a LOT of punishment and still manage to get up, win or lose.

Tomboy: Yuki Marie often wears men’s clothing; her primary attire is often a red dress shirt with black tie, blue jeans, red leather buckled boots, a black leather jacket, and fingerless gloves. 

Traumatic Superpower Awakening: It appears Yuki Marie has an innate power of some kind passed down from her great x3 grandfather's own power, and it has just began to surface after an incident where Bloody Mary attempted to break her neck. It has manifested in a kind of blue flame (she has mentioned this as a kind of "cold fire") and has even been seen on drone surveillance as sporting wings made of this blue flame.

Waif-Fu: Yuki Marie is a professional wrestler with knowledge of ninjutsu and jeet kune do. She could take down men twice her size!
