Yes dude, I totally agree! I was pants shittingly nervous last year about having cavities filled for the first time to my surprise it was easy peasy! I think my fiancé found it healing, too. He has a difficult time being numbed and has bad memories associated with the dentist. So I think it was very good and relieving for him to see my dentist be so liberal with the numbing shots for me and prioritize my comfort. She says she knows nobody likes to go to the dentist but she wants to make it as painless as possible for her patients.

Hygienists - I know they’re important, I know they’re just doing their job and they would probably get in trouble if they did not thoroughly clean my teeth before my dentist checks on me, but godDAMN. Ouch. I’m sore right now lmao. And It was a fucking sensory nightmare too, all the noises of my teeth being scraped and the whirring of the tools. And just the feeling of having my teeth touched, blech 🤮

putting together the choices from origins & inquisition, you can leave ferelden with a monarch who will leave behind no heir who at this point will be appearing less and less healthy each time he is seen in public. you can leave orlais with an emperor who has effectively gained this position by coup and garnered support on the promise of restoring orlesian glory through war (against ferelden AND nevarra. btw.)

but sure. let’s say that’s a peripheral conflict for the north. already stretching the limits of believability given how quickly tevinter slavers and antivan crows were able to react to the unrest during the blight but sure. let’s say they have bigger things to worry about rn.

let’s consider the divine election in trespasser then. any of the 3 divines can propel the chantry to the very brink of fracturing based on their approval. if they do manage to keep it united, then you can have a chantry under divine vivienne who empowers mages more than ever before under the chantry or divine leliana who has abolished circles entirely and opened the priesthood to elves, dwarves and vashoth/tal-vashoth. because of the timeskip this is now a state of affairs that has existed for a decade. there is no conceivable way that the social & political implications of this have not reached across thedas

The whole "Beast x Ancient ships are problematic" debate in the Cookie Run Kingdom fandom annoys me so much because 60-80% of the people saying it are hypocrites who go "oh but except SM and PV!" When it inevitably comes around to a ship they actually like.

Burning Spice x Golden Cheese is problematic because he tried to murder her and aspired to destroy everything she loves because destruction is the only thing that brings him joy at all. None of this matters but, sure, I get WHY you'd think that. Obviously if they were in a relationship it'd be abusive. Mystic Flour x Dark Cacao is problematic because she essentially murdered his friends/soldiers, leaving him alone so it'd be easier to manipulate him, almost convinced him into believing nothing truly matters so she could steal his Soul Jam and use its powers for her own purposes, showed him a vision of a reality where he died because of her, in which his son took his throne and nobody really missed him all that much to further prove her point. Yeah, that's mighty fucked up!

...but Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla? Oh they're just two goofy goobers who've had a couple bad moments from time to time but it doesn't define them or anything. They still love each other so much! There's nothing abusive here! I once saw someone say (essentially, not word-for-word) "All SM did was turn his friends into cards and fuck with them a bit, that's not abuse!" And... buddy... pal... amigo... Shadow Milk psychologically tortured Pure Vanilla, threatened his friends lives as if they were toys, altered *his own memories* in which he was supposedly watching him throughout his entire life to make him believe everything he knew was lie, that no matter what he did he could never escape his presence, and broke him down so badly all in an attempt to take his Soul Jam. THAT IS ABUSE!!!! Does "abuse" just mean psychical violence to y'all?? Of course it doesn't, because MF also psychologically abused and manipulated DC, and you can recognize that, but when it's a ship you actually like? Oh nothing wrong here! That abuse *totally* didn't happen, and if it did, it's not a big deal anyway because it wasn't even THAT bad! Do you not see how this sounds?

This is what I mean when I say "antis are antis until it's a fucked up ship they like" and that "'problematic ship' really just means rarepair." Ships they don't like are problematic (because they know calling a ship "problematic" is a buzzword that instantly makes them win the argument even if it's untrue), but ships they do like, even if they're also problematic, conveniently have a thousand excuses for why they totally aren't bad but the Other ship is, even if it involves entirely erasing/ignoring integral parts of the story and the characters actions. Rarepairs (BS x GC, MF x DC) are easier to attack because hardly anyone will defend it, but popular ships (SM x PV) never get criticized, because if you try to, you suddenly have a bounty on your head, even if that ship is literally by their own definition problematic (sometimes even more than the looked down upon rarepair!).

Shadow Milk x Pure Vanilla is a "problematic ship". It is abusive, it is abuser x victim, NOT in the "uwu quirky toxic yaoi (they were mean to each other like one time)" way, and no amount of you woobifying Shadow Milk and blatantly lying about what happens to spread your narrative that it isn't will change that. This is not an opinion, or an agree-to-disagree situation, it is an objective fact. This isn't being said to scare or insult you if you're an antishipper that likes Shadownilla, my point isn't that "SHADOWNILLA FANS ARE PROSHITTERS!!" It's that none of this matters at all because it's just ships. You're not supporting *real life* abusive relationships just because you find an unhealthy relationship in fiction hot (which you can't even control). Accept it and move on

Brushing up on my writing through pit diving publicly into COTL:

- I have this AU (a solid one) called Death's Shepherd. I wanted to play with the idea that the Lamb has always had an affinity to death (as I have ideas on worldbuilding) even before the massacre/genocide.

- a pinch of death and violence (war), however, in this life, they have gone down the road of death. Obviously.

- This whole Au was going to be very picky with what was taken from canon, for example:

- was going to have it where the one who waits originally wasn't going to kill the lamb. That while it very much was a chance/option, I wanted to play into the info that he /was/ tampering with life and was planning to do a switch a roo of sorts. This still would have required the sacrifice of the lamb's followers, but the one who waits figures it was a price worth paying. The lamb.... not so much.

- speaking of the one who waits and a crown on two heads. After the one who waits is defeated, it is quickly noted (by some) that Narinders' soul is tainted due to his past research/experiments. As Death should have never brought life into the world.

- which is what I'm playing with. Resurrection is one thing (especially if the body and soul are still attached) but bring whole new lives, new souls into existence? Reconstructing spuls and willing them back into their past bodies? Mmmmmm yeah that has its reprocussions.

- I also wanted to play with the crown. Where whole yes, the lamb is the new death deity, the crown is the essence of death itself, like *trying to find the words* they just are. Idk how to explain it lol but yeah.

- everything else is fairly the same, tho I am cooking up having the goat be more involved main story wise.

- the goat becoming the new war deity (goats not as wiped out but damn are those numbers low, as when the hunt for lambs first started, alot of goats were either mistaken as lambs or were protecting them).

- anyway, this was based on an idea of the lamb having to navigate their new ascension; the nature of being a deity/what it means to be one; who can and can't be: of course, typical shipping mess (i guess, they'reboth a mess but like a puzzle piece and all that); the actual damage that happens when wiping out whole as DEITIES with no back up; and wanting to see how funny it would be if Narinder was force to be the Life deity rather than death (I have a whole thing about this)

- still tinkering with Nari's design and the Lamb's Names (They will have 2)

I really like your art and how the color schemes seem to match the personalities of the characters. They always look so crisp with the right amount of style on character positioning.

I always thought it was really cool how you managed to have so much detailed backstories and world building, alongside managing to create pictures and comics to go along with the chapters and stories you write. It has been really inspirational!

Although, funny, enough, I have been thinking about asking you if you had any preferences on sources to start researching universal aviation codes and the differences in between civilian and military planes, jets, helicopters, and airships, and which you think might sound better when used by militaries vs civilians. I think I am going to have to do a lot of studying on IATA, ICAO, PAT, Mode-S, VFR, and transponders, as well as codes used in towered vs non towered airports. I feel like I am going to have to do a lot of study on aviation and plane/jet/drone schematics for future chapters.

I’m fascinated with the op hockey au and ur art that goes with it and was wondering what would the marines be… like would they be refs or rules officials or judges? Like hardly anyone likes the marines and nobody likes rules officials/judges.

i mentioned this a little bit in this post but it boils down to them just being generally scattered around sports and sports-adjacent jobs.

i thought mb akainu would be a ref that screws over/directly causes ace injury during a whitebeards vs pirates game; garp works in media (not sports) but doesn't really like the notion that all his kids and grandkids are in pro sports lol; and koby & helmeppo are a rookie espn sports journalism duo (writer + cameraman) that interned at garp's media company for a while before changing to espn (garp was exasperated about it haha). but ye, the marines would be scattered as judges and rules officials and people on the olympics committee, etc etc.

i said nami would be a marketer or mb a sportscaster, so i think it'd be cute if belle-mère did something similar in her day, annndddd idk about cora. i made croc mihawk's manager but i have no idea what doffy would do and how cora would play into all that. would love to hear if anyone's got any ideas tho!
