finally figured out what i have to do, that exact moment the sshd server on the machine i was working on died.
#tütensuppe#figured someone was rebooting it maybe but its pingable#also the ssh request doesnt time out which is unusual for 'no ssh server'#eh i can create the folder structure on another machine i guess#EDIT NOPE I THINK THEY ARE DOING THEIR MAINTENANCE NOW#one of the machines they have to move is the one all the central home directories are stored on#in fact that machine is not pingable rn#way to do stuff with zero warning i guess#no more work for me today i guess
