if succession ending after four seasons was really common knowledge like you said, people really wouldn't have been so surprised over the decision – including the cast of the show itself. yes, it was always a possibility that the show would end after season four but it certainly wasn't common knowledge or set in stone. and also, i have been heavily involved in the fandom space since 2021 and i certainly have not seen anyone be 100% that s4 is the last one before. if you have credible sources, feel free to share them with me, but rn i'm calling bullshit.
