odnr scenes i made up in my brain that make absolutely no sense but they haunt me everywhere i go & i want to somehow put in a fanfic but i think i wont ever:
-wright is really jealous and angry about apollo when they meet in hospital so he makes a ton of jokes about polly being a Great attorney and him Not being one. apollo just thinks he's in the saddest state he's ever saw him.
-the two of them somehow meeting up the night before this morning interaction of the 2-4 case and having some weird sexual tension because i think its very sexy of them:
(maaybe this is a scene where they get some evidence from some place and they have to escape from the police during this same night)
-they get drunk af the night before 4-4 and fight and fuck !! (evil)
-DD apollo getting away from the agency isn't only about the case, but also addressing their feelings for each other, as he believes his feelings for wright are getting in the way of the case & wright doesn't really see him as more than a co-worker
-DD wright having a mental crisis and crying in the office for a good while because of this, while telling himself that didn't just happen and trying to cope by contacting Edgeworth. (oughh i crave threesome shenanigans pls)
-Wright and Polly reuniting at the end but Wright pretending he was Always Alright, and apollo side-eyes everyone because he has no idea what happened while he was away, (huh, wonder why Wright is acting a bit unhinged for some reason).
-allucinating SoJ apollo being way more confident during the first case and Wright going insane with praise Very Openly every time he can (because he's still not over polly leaving him on DD) while Polly tries to shut him up lol (hes like, why are you so intense!! in the open?!)
-This makes the court case they have, twice as fun imo, because you could read it as Apollo still being clueless about what is going on. and the rest of the characters siding with Wright while telling him he is an idiot is more funny.
-apollo saving wright again and again, because he is in love with him, but Wright going "bwuh? you?? saved me but why??" and apollo going "ARE YOU STUPID?" because they are both in a relationship but arent, because they definitely dont have trust issues, and think the other doesnt like them in that way.
-for some reason there's this interaction with durkeh and wright, and then with maya and polly that to me reads like they are presenting each other's families & its funny because durkeh likes wright making fun of polly, and maya likes that she can bully both wright and polly.
-the last SoJ case alternative ending where it ends up with them realizing their feelings and living together <3 (this one is so funny because most odnr fans i talked with really enjoy the idea of them talking through letters and meeting later in time but i just want them to be in looove, get a khurain themed marriageeee, its free real serotonin)

some manfred von karma HC's i guess:
- obviously comes from old money, and i mean VERY old money. that said they arent the richest of those kinds of families around so they make up for it in connections and social standing. as such the extended family are generally hellbent on being the best in whatever field they pursue.
- manfred has been stated as having been a lot more well intentioned to begin with but got bent as time went on. i would assume that he was never exactly pleasant though, haughty and full of himself in that assumption of inherent superiority kinda way. he was very interested in law and justice back in the day however, and took to prosecuting quite naturally out of a desire to send 'evil' down the river.
- however that desire also worked against him overtime as he got more experienced and importantly more jaded and full of himself. it was a black and white binary view on law in the end, that morphed into an arrogant and obsessive assumption that even being sent to trial was a crime worthy of punishment in of itself, which eventually morphed into his win at all costs mindset as he lost sight of justice and the truth entirely.
- now an established name hes pretty rightly feared as a walking demon capable of burning down anyone's career should they cross paths with him. and for a while that indomitable reputation holds. then gregory comes into the picture.
- theres the penalty on his perfect record obviously but theres also a mixture of other factors that lead to von karma making the choice he does. the trial being dragged out for a year, the embarrassments of being so blatantly caught on the backfoot, being taken to task by some no name podunk defense attorney, and not even being able to destroy the man in court as recompense. its a volatile cocktail that explodes just right with a little bit of confusion, exhaustion and pain into coldblooded and uncommonly impulsive murder to the methodical man.
- his reputation never quite recovers after his vacation. hes still feared as a demon attorney, and he does quite a lot to 'make up for the embarrassment' but theres always going to be that chink in his armour to remind people hes not that hot. his extend family have a tendency to needle him about this to his frustration.
- despite being an 'exemplary von karma', manfreds not very close with others in his extended family outside of the minimum obligations. part of it is how busy his work keeps him, part of it is how tiresome he finds most of them. he has a few exceptions such as his unseen sibling but even then hes clearly kind of stiff about it.
- met his wife later in life, around the peak of his career before dl-6. genuinely infatuated with her in his own way to the point of blowing off an arranged marriage, in part because he and his wife share a lot of hyper competitive and perfectionist behaviors. his wife is a well known police officer in his home country, which is how they met. and like him shes regarded as something of a terror with a shady as hell reputation [forging evidence together is so romantic]. following manfreds conviction shes put under a lot of scrutiny herself and eventually gets convicted as well, albeit not on murder charges.
- well hes a begrudging pride of the family, the von karmas generally pretend he doesnt exist after his conviction. in part because of embarrassment at him getting caught in part to save their own reputations.
- the extended von karma family generally hated edgeworth and questioned manfred on his adoption of the boy all the time. manfred for his part did the usual responsibilities of a parent but had a tendency to be distant to edgeworth, especially early on, treating their relation as more of a mentor student one then a parental one. the sheer stratospheric rise of edgeworths career is in part a testimony to manfreds ability as a mentor.
- never the warmest of people, he practically doted on Franziska by his standards especially because of how much later in life he and his wife had her. eventually acted a bit warmer to edgeworth in part because of Franziska's insistence.
- dislikes children's birthday parties but that wont stop him from throwing the perfect birthday party out of stubborn pride.
- loves to brag about the most innocuous of talents and things in other people. "my protegee edgeworth can whistle all manner of songs in perfect pitch, and yet he is not even a singer! that his the depths of his talent in all things!"
- to an extent the conviction came as something of a relief to the mental house of cards manfred had built. perfection, failure, the murder, the von karma name, now none of it would matter for however long he had left. in that manner it was the relief of being well and truly beaten for the first and last time.

Miles Edgeworth Investigations 2 suit review
skipping ahead a bit to do this game, thank you @fam-account
6/10
now this is a nice suit, with fairly good colors. except for the fact that the buttons on the suit are set too low. if you notice they hang around the crotch to bellybutton area, where they should instead be in the bellybutton to chest area. plus there is NO DARTING ONCE AGAIN. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER EDGEWORTH. and the waistcoat. eehhhhhhhh. once again improper amount of buttons, and honestly it doesnt need lapels but its not too terrible of a style.
im pretending that the crabot doesnt exist okay. it doesnt exist
6/10
now time for the daddyworth
for a trench coat.... this isnt the best....
first off, trench coats should be slim cut, there should be no bulk since the style is made to make you look sleek. this coat is just slightly too big which you can tell thanks to the sagging around the belt area. also lets talk about the belt area. since where??? is his belt buckle???? wha- no just no, thats flimsy it will fall apart faster without one.
and with a heavy heart i must say that there is an improper amount of buttons
again
“but vi” you cry “what if its just the style!” if if was the style it wouldnt need a belt, since it has a belt it needs at least 2 more buttons below the belt for it to be proper
i added a point for managing to pull off a fedora
8/10
ayyyy now we are talking! god i can see why edgeworth is drawn to phoenix, he has the same style suit as his father! It looks to be really well tailored (and it has a properly done tie! nice!) the suit looks so smooth i just want to touch it ooh nice. The only issue i can see here is that the sleeves are just too big. you can tell by the way they dont pull back when gregory lifts his arm (this is the opposite of klaviers problem) even still its a nice suit
8/10
as an added bonus here is dead gregory! because i forgot about him last time
lmao
now its hard to see with all the blood and the fact that its in greyscale, but from what i can see this is a fairly good suit! its seems well cut, the style suits him, the pockets are properly done, i dont really have anything to complain about besides the dead body, its times like these where I wish the most that Manfred didn’t kill him
7/10
Speaking of manfred, he also appears in this game. Now why? you ask might i rate this lower than his last incarnation despite it being nearly identical. Well I do what I want thats why, and my standard for suits has risen too. The Lapels on this are huge and the details confuse me. Are they part of the fabric? Are they embroidered? What are they? Plus I still have no clue as to how the vest functons whatsoever,,,but added points for having an actual jabot and not edgeworths fake ass one.
Why does he look like an evil Beethoven
0/10
I want to die. Please god, take your cruel hand and strike me down where I stand.
Its so....muscley. Thanks! I hate it! Like? purple and orange, on a suit, tailored so tightly that you can see every individual muscle. what deviantart fetish artist designed this. Its so long too, and not in a good way like miles’s dd suit but in a bizarre dress like way. I hate it
5/10
eeeeeeeuuuuuuuughghhhhhhhhhh
ok first off, why roll up your sleeves that high with your suit jacket still on? just take off the jacket jfc. you’re gonna damage the suit. secondly, that cummerbund is waaay too high. it fucking hits his nipples oh my god. local dumbass has pants all the way up to his armpits, more at 10. At least he has the sense to wear a shawl lapel, looking as hes going for a white tie leaning style, and as an added bonus hes actually wearing a corsage that matches!
7/10
I love that tacky ass tie more than i should but its still ugly as all hell. and yet! the rest of the suit is good. crisp tailoring, proper amount of buttons (especially on the sleeves) the pants look perfect and i love the added pop of color by having the shirt be teal instead of white. this suit is so stupid thanks to the tie but i will die on this hill dont @ me alright. also he has!!!! a belt!!!! technically suits shouldnt have a belt since if they were tailored properly they wouldnt need one, but shut up i like belts
7/10
Yay! another corpse!!! alright so this is basically the same as the previous one, added point for nicer color scheme, removed point for lack of darting in the jacket
stop shooting the nice suits
5/10
oh come on. the suit is nice enough, very horse-ridingish but the main problem here is that its too large all over. the shoulders slouch, the jacket is too long, the pants too baggy, you really shoulnt have to roll up your sleeves that far. why is everyone allergic to darting here oh my god. plus the corsage(?) is in the wrong place, it should be in the area where they got shot at, i have no idea how she would even be wearing it unless she just tacked it on with safety pins and grit.
and boots arent my specialty, but those look uncomfortable as hell
a moment of silence for those who didnt count as suits enough to make the cut
as a special bonus

view her in all her beauty
my heart says 10/10 but my mind is giving her a 7
let me explain why. although the cloak is very nice (it seems catholic inspired, specifically based off of bishops and cardinals cementing her place as a holy figure of respect) the chest area is rather tight. since her appearance is based around nuns and bishops we really shouldnt be seeing so much of her chest details. the purpose of robes like these is to cover thy self as a form of modesty out of respect for god (to be fair she worships a different god than we know) but my point still stands. the rest of her outfit is fine, but her chest, as much as i like it, is not. my only other complaint is that im not sure how the sash stays up with how much its tilted to one side. all i can imagine is her hiking that thing up all day.

@the-anderson-record
There's probably a more profound way I can present this but it's all rough notes, really
ALSO, more importantly, there is some violence so you have been forewarned
Anyway, vampire au ideas:
I can say that Gregory pretends to have a conventional job to protect his family and generally goes by "investigator" if anyone asks but his actual occupation is a vampire hunter in this au. In one of his investigations in search of a particular serial murderer (vampire), he runs into von karma. There's a bit of a tussle resulting in von karma getting scarred in the shoulder because gregory stakes him there. Karma gets away. Being the individual von karma is with his disproportionate reactions to things, he hunts down Gregory to the investigator's home, where he kills both Greg and his wife there. Miles was waiting at school for his father to pick him up. Friends (pheonix and larry) offer to walk with him home but miles refuses and wants to wait for his dad. It's December and it's bitter cold out. Mile's mother is preparing dinner while Greg is heading out to pick up miles. Karma breaks in and kills them both. He also sets fire to the building with their stove after to clear evidence. Miles, 4 hours into waiting and freezing to the bone because he refused to listen to his mother that morning and wear a thick jacket, finally begins to walk home. Hypothermia setting in an hour later on his journey home, he's outside the apartment and sees a massive flame engulfing the building at a distance. Trying his best to get to his parents he finally succumbs to the cold less than a block away from the building.
Miles wakes up later in a place he doesn't recognize. He still feels cold but not in the same way as before while passed out in the snow and a strange hunger grows within him. He reaches into his backpack to eat the snacks packed by his father. It only tasted like ash on his tongue. In this cobblestone prison, he spots a rat that was released through a small slit in the locked doorway and he smells something sweet coming from it. Overcome by the urge, he eats it. It is uncanny how savory it is. He enthusiastically continues, taken by the hunger. It isn't until after a few minutes that he realized what horror he's committed, dropping the remains. His actions frighten him. The rat returns as a ghoul since the boy didn't finish him off. Horrified, miles tries to fend it off but not kill it. He didn't mean to harm the animal. Noticing a struggle, von karma enters from the same door aforementioned and finishes off the rat by stomping it. The then 9 year old miles has to come to terms with now being a vampire. He was practically dead when von karma found him and the only was to save the boy was to turn him, or so miles has been told the entirety of his now undead life.
The following are assorted thoughts that are less organized:
(I thought to make a personal lore choice that they only age if they eat animals instead of humans.)
Miles, being the nerd he is, wore a backpack with his name on his belongings. Manfred only turned him so the line of Edgeworth would end. Miles probably could have survived if he was sent to a hospital instead but manfred found him first. Legacy means a lot to von karma and he'd want to destroy any bit of Gregory that Miles had within himself. Karma had to sully the name of Edgeworth too. He petty and evil. Von Karma indoctrinates miles pretty much until miles has a run in with Phoenix and he begins to question things.
phoenix was a victim of a vampire attack by chance. he doesnt get bitten but that's how he meets mia fey and finds out miles is "alive" still. he wondered what happened to his friend after going missing for so long and had blamed himself for not staying with miles to walk home with him that cold winter evening. mia is a hunter and comes from a long line of hunters in the fey clan and pheonix takes up apprenticeship under her to find miles again. mia never tells pheonix that miles had turned
op your vampire au art is so good and I am in love with it. Do u have any lore in mind for this au that hasn’t shown up in the drawings? If so I want so very badly to hear about it. Keep doing ur good ass art!
I do but ngl, I wanna, flesh (heh pun) things out a bit more since I've just started mulling over it. I have a number of plot holes I ought to pave over but I promise I'll get back to you on that
