#monthly reading lists#books#behold a list of books that i'm currently in the middle of#last month was full of so many books that i never finished#but i do want to finish most of them#so instead of making a new list for the month you just get this hand-me-down list#only exceptions are#tolkien's faith which i've only read a few pages of weeks ago#i do want to read it and it's readable and not that long#but it's printed on thick paper so it looks huge and intimidating#putting it on the list means maybe i'll get to it#the codebreaker's daughter isn't out yet but i've got it on pre-order#and i'll want to read it asap#of the other ones the man who was chesterton will be easy to finish#i've only got a few chapters left and they're easy#i could have finished already if i could have focused#it'll make me want to read other chesterton#esp the st francis bio but that's been on so many of these lists i can't put it on another#and maybe 'eugenics and other evils' because it's been a while since i've read a nonfic by him#and it'll be relevant to shadowstruck#oh and the country diary should be easy to finish#i'm in august and half the pages are illustrations
