sometimes it's nice to just let others decide if you're worth their time versus constantly wondering if you're imposing
#2024 is the year of realizations i think#bc i don't wanna spend my time starting convos with people who don't wish to talk to me fr#like.. that's wasted energy and just forcing something that isn't mutual and that benefits no one#and no this isn't a specific thing.. just thinking some things over recently. recollecting irl trauma with one-sided friendships#and tbh.. i'm kinda just tired of lying to myself that reaching out first all the time isn't a big deal when the writing's on the wall LMAO#like for some people like my cousin it's so valid bc she's got 2 boys under 4 and a dog to look after#but for others? you've gotta let them go when it's just you making an effort. which is hard enough bc i'm not That social#yet i go out of my way tidjfkd#but yeah just some thoughts#idk if i'll ever know how to make and maintain friends but knowing where i stand with people Now is a start so 🤷♀️
