Alfred is a very casually intimate person. His legs intertwined with yours while you game, his hand on your shoulder while you introduce him, and his hands held over yours while he shows you anything, are all common sights even before you start dating.

But once you actually get together, he doesn't get much more affectionate as much as he does touchy. Say goodbye to any personal space, as Alfred loves to manhandle you. Anytime he likes something you're wearing, he just grabs it and forces you to stand there awkwardly.

Every time he comes home from work stressed, he insists that you hold his head in your lap and pet his hair.

When the night begins, he's on the other side of the bed. But by morning, the blankets are practically all on the floor while he hugs you from behind, his face buried in your hair and his legs caging you against the sheets.

Also: he's a great hugger (: Any sickness can be ailed by drowning in his arms.  Sometimes it really does feel suffocating, he has no sense of self-control and way too much love for you to realize that it’s alarming to be tackled to the ground.

England

Arthur despises PDA. Arthur despises you knowing how much he cares. Arthur despises being vulnerable in any way. Arthur despises rainbows and sunshine. But he loves you, so he'll hold you by the waist when your head falls on his shoulder.

Most of the time, the most you'll get is a chaste kiss, only sometimes on the lips. It took him a while to even agree to share a bed because it's “unseemly“ for an unwed couple. When you do share a bed, he rarely cuddles up to you. He’s almost always an arm's length away, close but not too close.

But when he gets drunk, his real self comes out. Suddenly he's pressing soft kisses up and down your chest, his hands keeping you pressed against the bed while he whispers how much he loves you in languages he hasn't spoken in centuries.

But even when he's in his right mind, you might be able to convince him to let you sit in his lap while he reads to you. He'll deny it, but he does love it greatly. In general, he prefers holding you rather than the other way around.

France

While Francis may be incredibly affectionate, he isn't really the biggest cuddler. His physical affection comes mostly in the forms of passionate, breath-taking kisses and slow dancing. But of course, he does love having you close, so you'll end up cuddling anyway.

He loves lounging with you by his side, a nice bottle of wine readily available, while you two reminisce. His hands always find a way to snake underneath your clothing, but it's only so he can trace soft patterns on your skin, making you relax even further against him.

At night, it depends on the mood. If you're feeling needy, he'll happily pull you close to rest your head on his chest. If he's feeling needy, he'll beg for you to hold him close, to run your fingers through his hair and tell him how much you love him. But if it's the summer and he's hot, he'll kick you off the bed if you touch him.

Also, just for the record, he never lets go of your hand throughout the day. Ever. The difference between affection at home and affection in public is completely lost on Francis, so be prepared for him to pull you against him just like he would if no one was watching.

China

In terms of love languages, Yao cares much more for quality time than physical affection. But he can be prone to clingy moods, refusing to leave your side for hours at a time. During those times, it's best to just let him nuzzle his face against your neck without protest.

On the rare nights that he lets you cook, he'll hold you tight from behind. Surprisingly not just to criticize your technique, but also because he just loves how you feel pressed up against him.

When it comes to the bed, he is surprisingly cuddly. He'll ghost his hands all over your body while you're falling asleep, seemingly always in awe of your beauty. He's rarely aggressive in any way, his affection always soft and thoughtful.

(Also, he prefers cuddling without clothes. Not for even a single remotely sexual reason, but just because it's so much more intimate)

When in public, he never goes beyond brushing a hair behind your ear; but with the way he looks at you, you always feel just as loved as you would otherwise.

Russia

The moment you give him permission, Ivan is all over you. Constant kisses, constant hugs, never more than a step away, he'll be attached to your side for as long as you let him.

Anytime you two are together, he'll pull you as close as possible. Watching a movie is always done with you on his lap, no car ride is complete without his hand around your thigh, and even when you're separated, he's anxious to keep an eye on you.

Without you in his arms, he'd find it difficult to sleep. He can't get enough of watching you while your eyes flutter shut, his calloused hands running through your hair until you finally relax completely.

Every time you reach out for him first, he finds himself too flustered to speak. He's a very handsy person himself, so it's impossible to make him uncomfortable. All he can do is watch you in awe, never growing tired of the feeling of your skin against his.

Canada

Matthew's affection is always hesitant, as if he's afraid you'll break the moment his skin meets yours. He'd never do as little as hold your hand without your permission, much less pull you into a hug.

But the opposite is true when you're the one asking him for his touch. If you seem nervous, suddenly his kiss is all-consuming, taking the breath out of your lungs and causing you to stumble.

At night, he absolutely melts when you hold each other. Your hands around his waist make him shiver, and he can't stop himself from burying his face in your hair, his fingers drawing feather-light patterns into your back. But it already takes an hour of convincing to get him into bed with you, much less to get him to cuddle without him constantly asking if you’re alright.

In public, however, any affection makes him blush bright red. He can barely believe that you're alright with showing your love for him. If you were to suddenly hug him to say goodbye, it's unlikely he'd be able to pull himself away. He loves your touch, but he can't let himself indulge, the fear of your rejection making him fear getting too close.

Italy

From the moment you two met, Feliciano's hands all over you, at all times. Personal boundaries is not something he's familiar with. No matter where you are, he's grossly affectionate. He usually doesn't care whether or not you hug him back, as long as you don't reject him too bluntly. Then he'll cry. But stop nonetheless.

If you're ever insecure, he's the man to reassure you. You'll never again leave the house without tons of kisses all over your face, much less do anything without his arm around your waist.

As expected, he's also very needy. He's satisfied to just rest his head on your shoulder most of the time, but sometimes he just needs you to hold him. If you're alright with it, his designated spot is always curled up against you with his head in your lap. If you pet his hair too, he'll be yours for life.

In bed, it's the same. If you're wrapped up in each other's arms, he's happy. But if you're holding him, not too soft yet not too tight, he might just start crying. For good reasons this time.

Germany

Ludwig’s affection is always awkward, his grip is always too tight or too soft, but he does truly love being beside you. No matter how afraid he is, as soon as you pull him into a hug, he completely forgets all nervousness. But still, it’s not often he goes out of his way to do any more than rest a hand on your shoulder comfortingly.

At night, it’s the same. He wants you close, close enough that you could always wake him up if you needed to, but not close enough that you’re pressed against each other. But on those awful nights when you just need some comfort, he’s more than happy to wrap you in a bunch of blankets and hold you all night long (He won’t get any sleep, but being so protective makes him feel just as happy.)

What he lacks in physical affection, he more than makes up for in every other area. At least he always knows the best places to kiss you.

Japan

Kiku is a very private man. You knew that before you were dating, but even now, it seems like even his affection is kept to himself. You constantly see him reach for you out of the corner of your eye, before he suddenly pulls away.

He's always rather cold in public. The most you get at home is usually just a chaste kiss, too.

Except at night, when he's too overworked and sleepy to think straight, it's the opposite. Suddenly he's crawling into your arms in the dead of night, desperate and whining for your affection. Sometimes it's the opposite, his hesitant hands running over your side, careful not to disturb you as you're pulled into his embrace.

Either way, it's rare that either of you wake up without the other, strewn across the bed and buried under the mountains of blankets Kiku loves. Just don't bring it up, because he's deathly embarrassed of how much he needs your affection.

Romano

There is not a day that goes by without Romano demanding you two cuddle. In public, at home, at night, in the morning, when you're doing nothing, when you're busy... he is... quite needy when it comes to physical affection.

His favourite way to cuddle is in bed, blankets thrown wildly around the two of you, him wrapped around you and resting his head on your thighs while you play with his hair. But he's honestly not that picky as long as you're almost painfully close.

He doesn't kiss you often (especially in public, just because he's so insecure about how people see the two of you,) but when he does, it feels like something out of a movie. Your breath taken in a second, your mind going blank, your entire body seeming to melt into his effortlessly...

As time goes on, he would probably become less clingy. When you first start dating, he's so anxious to make sure you understand how much you mean to him, that he ends up overcompensating in a lot of areas... especially when it comes to affection.

But his body IS kind of perfect for cuddling, so...

Prussia

Gilbert is a very proud man, and that remains obvious in the way he touches you. He's anxious to show off your attachment in public, always having his hand intertwined tightly with yours, his eyes never leaving you no matter what.

At home, it's the same. He's not overly clingy, especially when he gets in snippy moods, but he still believes everything is better when you're by his side. His favourite thing in the world is being cuddled up on the couch, your head resting on his shoulder while he runs his fingers down your thighs, watching probably one of the worst movies ever made.

When in bed, he's a lot more needy. He tends to get cold, so he always pulls you against him. When you cling to his chest, he swears he's in heaven. But that also means it's a struggle to get up in the morning since he always insists on “just 5 more minutes.“

He's rather... grabby. His affection is usually aggressive, and sometimes a little embarrassing, but it's just because he's so desperate to show you how he really feels, beyond the silly act.

Good lord the anxiety this man would have

He worries about all of the creeps (to an extent)

Mostly because he doesn't want his job to be any harder than it already is

But with you it's more genuine worry

Like oh....don't ram your head into that wall....you could get so many brain injuries.....that can affect you for the rest of your life....

Always sitting you down to talk to you about the risks of you headbutting things or trying to eat things that aren't food

And you being clumsy is a whole other layer

After being saddled blessed with you, he gathered up all the books on goat behaviors, anatomy, and potential conditions he could find

He gets to the point where after the umpteenth time of you falling down one of the MOVING staircases, he sits you down on his medical bed and patches you up

Once he is done, you hop up off the bed and skip off to go about your day, your tail wagging and twitching behind you

But then he blocks the door and puts his hand on your back to guide you back to the bed

"We aren't done yet." He'd say, pulling out a helmet he got specially made for you so your ears and horns could fit through

He got it in your favorite color, and made sure it had good padding so it was comfortable

"I want you to wear this at all times, save for your showers and sleeping"

You groan and stomp your hoof on the ground in annoyance "But daaaad!! How will I even be able to do anything?"

He figured you'd be annoyed, but honestly, it's for your own good

"There's more" He says, pulling out some shortened pool noodles and placing them on your horns

"I've gotten complaints about your headbutting"

You open your mouth to argue but he stops you "I know you don't mean anything by it, and that your horns aren't fully grown, but they still hurt"

He takes a step back to look at you, smiling at how cute you are in your little helmet and pool noodles

You huff and look to the side "I look ridiculous"

He waves his hand in dismissal "You look fine. It's only for a little bit, I promise."

You roll your eyes and stomp your hoof again "How much time is a 'little bit'?"

"Just until you stop tripping over yourself. Once your horns are done growing, we'll probably just put caps on them instead of the noodles"

You jump up off the bed again and begin to leave, this time with a considerably less amount of excitement

He stops you again and turns you to face him, holding you by your shoulders and bending down to be your height "I only do these things because I care about you. I'm not trying to make your life harder. I want you to know that."

"I know, dad" You mutter

He gives you a little headbutt that you reciprocate "Alright, go play."

You run off as he yells behind you "And be careful!!"

Masky

He is already very protective of his friends and the people he considers family, so imagine him with his child?

Yeah, good luck spending any time NOT glued to his side

Especially since you are so clumsy

He spends any time he isn't with you worrying about all the ways you could possibly hurt yourself

A pro to him always being by your side though, is you get hurt a lot less! Going down the stairs together, if you begin to trip, he'll catch you and put you back on your feet (or....hooves?)

He makes sure to always hold your hand when going down anything steep

Even things like escalators, where you aren't even moving yourself, he still wants to be absolutely sure you don't fall

Tim definetly has a dad bod, so headbutting him would hurt him a lil worse than another creep

You getting so excited to see him after he comes back after a mission, you run up to him and ram your head into his stomach

You really didn't mean to do it that roughly, you were just so happy!

He doubles over and lets out a "OUGHF"

You apologize and give him a hug instead, to which he reciprocates

Despite this, headbutting isn't even up there in terms of pet peeves

His number 1 ick is actually your noises

Tim (as we know from marble hornets) gets headaches and migraines quite often

So while he loves you and all your little quirks, good god does he wish you were a little more quiet

Hearing you bleat nonstop while eating a meal you are particularly fond of, or you screaming as you play kills his head

But he never says anything

And even if he does say something, he never raises his voice at you, he always just softly says "Let's try to keep it down, ok? My head's hurting"

He rarely does that though, because he doesn't want you to feel like you have to hide who you are for his sake

And if anyone else were to say something, he'd kill them no question

He'll be DAMNED if some freak ass hoe tells his baby to shut up

Hoodie

He LOVES your little quirks

He headbutts you back whenever you do it to him

He makes your noises back at you

He teases you for stomping your hooves, the list goes on honestly

This being said, he's a parent first, not your friend

If another creep has genuine concerns, he'll talk to you about it and try to understand the root cause of the issue

I can also totally see him cooking all sorts of meals for you

He makes the strangest salads, but you adore them

Mixes of sunflower seeds, roots, hay, lettuce, beet puree, etc

It tickles him to see you chew like a goat

I think if you wanted him to, he'd try it, but he probably wouldn't like it as much as you do lol

He'd also love to find ways to spend time with you that both of you enjoy

Brushing out your little beard, trimming and filing your hooves, etc

At least once a month, you have little spa days together where he helps you take care of everything you need

In terms of you being clumsy though....he is not as worried as some of the others on this list

If you were to fall down the stairs, he'd make sure you're ok first, but after he does make sure, he'd laugh at you

"Oh my gosh, y/n, are you ok??" He'd ask, coming to help you up and dust you off

You nod and rub your head "Yeah, i'm alright"

"Good....What'd you do that for, you silly goat!!" he laughs

Ramming into the wall though, hm...

He would not like that very much

He'd tell you to stop nicely a few times, and if you don't (or can't bc of your instincts) I think he'd get caps for your horns like Jack

All in all, he's probably the most endearing of this list

Jeff is an asshole, as we all know

But he is also a protective asshole

a shitty guide to tumblr for people who have never been on this godforsaken website

yeah so ive been thinking about making one of these posts, because tumblr is pretty unlike a lot of popular social media today and because i lost the ones that used to be making rounds. this is mostly for my own use so i dont have to reexplain tumblr every time i try to introduce people to this website, and i can just send this post to them instead

this is more to help you get started with no context of how tumblr operates, its not really a strict guide for you to follow fyi. you could ignore this completely if you want, this is generally for people who are confused, lost, and need somewhere to start. this post also mostly expects you to know what the buttons do, or at least be able to figure out what they mean

1. setting up your blog

okay, so. tumblr has a hugeeeee bot problem. these bots typically have default pfps, nonsensical or overly average urls, no personalization to their blog with everything as the default, no reblogs/posts or very few of them. i, and many others, tend to block these. however, if youve just gotten tumblr and havent customized your blog yet, you might be confused for a bot. so the first thing you should do is something to show that youre a real person, like changing your banner, pfp, or blog title. people also tend to hide their following and likes, but thats up to you if you want them hidden

if youd like to add more information about yourself, such as having an introduction to your blog that doesnt fit in your bio, put it in an intro post and pin it to your blog to make it your pinned post [if you arent sure how to do that, press the three dots on the top right of the post and then press pin post]. ofc your pinned post could be some other post you really really like, such as a pinned reblog of a funny post, a post you made that you thought was a banger and encapsulates your blog, whatever. but keep in mind it will usually be what introduces people to your blog.

for me, my blog introduction has a short introduction to me, what i post, my main tags [ill get into that later], and masterposts. masterposts are posts that you use to link to other posts, typically for posts that are all connected in some way. some examples would be for an art challenge, an au, or a story that spans across posts. it just helps compile and keep track of things.

and ive seen that one repost of that tiktok post. you dont have to prep like its professional or smth [unless you want to ofc]. youre fine, tumblr is informal as hell. just be kind and respectful of others and you should be fine. also, random thing i didnt know where to put elsewhere. go into your settings. you can put stuff like a theme for your blog, add timestamps to posts (which i highly reccommend, keeps you from reblogging warnings that are out of date n such), and whatever else you can find in there.

in addition, you can make side blogs! side blogs are attached to your main blog, and are used for a variety of things. some examples include: gimmick blogs [a blog whos whole purpose is to do one specific thing], ask blogs [a blog where you rp as a character and answer asks as if you were them], au/story/comic blogs [just to keep all of it in one place, if you dont want to use tags], fandom blogs [to split up your blogs by the fandom they post about], and more!

2. how to use tags

people here on tumblr can be veryyyy particular on tags. if you misuse them badly enough, you will likely find out the hard way. so, to prevent that from happening, here a quick crash course in tumblr tags!

dont spam unrelated tags if you make a post about blorbo and tag bingus, despite him not being in the post, that is using an unrelated tag and people will probably get annoyed or mad at you. you tag what is in the post. im looking at you instagram users. you tag the character[s] featured in the post, the fandom/story theyre from, and as [fandom] fanart, [fandom] fanfiction, or whatever it is. [pssstt fyi instead of fandom in brackets you put the fandom the character is from!]

dont main tag vagueposts a vague post is when you talk about someone, without naming them. this is typically done to shit talk the person its about. if you reallyyyy need to talk shit about someone that badly, dont tag it with the main tags you both interact through. ngl i think its just petty and shitty to make vagueposts in the first place, but you do you.

dont main tag critique/hate of people, ships, or characters lets say, for example, you really hate a ship in your fandom, and it bothers you to the point you feel the need to make this dislike known. you do NOT tag it with the name of that ship. people go into that tag to see people talking about how much they like that ship. that is a quick way to get a lot of hate. if you really need to, use that tag with crit slapped onto the end of it. generally, dont walk into someones house, shit talk it, and be surprised when they punch you in the face.

dont censor tags youre not going to get murdered by staff if you say suicide in your tags. if you put tags using censored terms like sewerslide or suc1d3, that only makes it so people who have those terms blocked will get those posts on their dashes. tag that shit and dont censor it, for the sake of the people around you.

now that thats out of the way, heres the other cool thing about tumblr tags! as i mentioned in the third to last paragraph of the previous section, you might want to put your main tags in your pinned post. tumblr allows you to search blogs by tag, so if someone wants to search for all of your posts that are tagged #blorbo, they can!

as an example i have 5 main tags listed in my pinned post that i use, the tag with all my art, the tag with all my writing, my tag for random textposts i make, my tag of reblogs, and my mutuals tag so i can look back and be like yayyyyy i love my moots :3. and while i dont have one, people tend to have an ask tag, where they can put all the asks they answer

3. tumblr algorithm

hate to break it to you pookie, but tumblr doesnt really have an algorithm like other social media. i lied. im sorry. im stealing your spleen. the for you page is... there. but no one uses it most of the time. tumblr operates more like websites used to, and you have to go hunt your posts down in the wild.

here on tumblr, we have the dashboard! it shows the posts from the people you follow in reverse chronological order. this means that, as a tumblr newbie, your dash will be empty. so, go into the tags and follow people who post and reblog things you like. however, that is step one in the circle of life here. you can stop there, of course, but you must keep something in mind.

if you like a post and want to share it with your followers, reblog it. a like will not get it onto their dash. a like is more like telling the original poster you thought the post was neat or that you saw it; this would be more like vent posts, posts about their private life, stuff like that. if its a post youd like to share with your followers, you reblog it; this is usually someone spitting facts you want to show your followers you agree with, a post you thought was funny, cool art, and whatever else you might want to have on your blog.

fyi, when i reblog i typically leave a like. it lets me know that i have interacted with this post before, and helps me so if im looking through a mutuals or someones blog and theres an awesome post left unliked, i know i didnt reblog it. however, thats just how i like to do it

4. tumblr etiquette

tumblr is a very old website, and that comes with a lot of unspoken rules the community has learned over time. heres a quick list of some rules you might need to keep in mind!

dont repost/steal posts a common thing i see on instagram and twitter is people reposting art, animation, or copying posts they thought were clever to farm likes. here on tumblr, we have reblogs! if you want that art on your blog, just reblog it. for example, if you run a gimmick blog that focuses on posting about one character, dont repost someone elses art [especially without credit]. just go reblog the original post, and let them know how much their contribution to the fandom is appreciated in the tags.

dont derail/hijack a post if you see a post thats completely unrelated to blorbo and about a different character completely and go, wow this is so blorbo coded! talk about it in the tags, or go make your own post. we build posts together here, we dont tear them down.

blocking you dont like seeing someone on your dash or when youre looking through tags? dont go and yell at them or something, or make a vaguepost. block their ass. how dare you interpret blorbo in that way. explode. get out of my sight. block tags you dont like. block keywords you dont like. block people you dont like. curate your online experience.

youve dicovered youre blocked oh no! someway, somehow, youve discovered youre blocked! oh the woe. dont make a vaguepost about it. dont go and make a hate mob because of it. it was likely nothing personal. maybe they just didnt like the way you typed. who literally cares. move on.

mutuals whenever you make a mutual, you often get bonded through blood together. i may be be posting about dogs and youre posting about taylor swift now, but through whatever led us to become mutuals, we are forever intertwined through our experience. the dash needs some diversity anyways. however, if this mutual has, for example, spontaneously started reblogging and posting about heinous shit you hate? block. begone. curate your online experience

heres some common terms youre likely to run into on tumblr! ofc this can vary from fandom to fandom, but from my experience these tend to span across fandoms.

op - original poster. the origin. the person who made the first post youre reblogging

moot/mutual - a person who you follow and they follow you back

<- prev - used in tags, to denote tags taken from the previous reblog. this can stack, to denote prev prev prev, but just screenshot the tags and add them in a reblog at that point

<- ops tags - used similarly to prev, but specifically for ops tags

blorbo - a term to describe the character that has taken over your mind like a parasite

scrimblo (and its variations) - a term similar to blorbo, but with more of a scraggly tinge to it

tumblrina - a gender neutral term for tumblr users. its not used all that commonly anymore, but i felt it was worth mentioning

yuri - term for a ship between girls

yaoi - term for a ship between boys

headcanon/hc - an interpretation of a character that is not canon. usually is a trait that falls in line with their canon portrayal, but not always

id/alt text - an image description. it describes an image in text, so that if the image is not loading or someone is blind, they can still know what it is/what it says. heres a helpful image for how to write one

asks - when you open your askbox, something you have to do through your settings, it allows people to send you messages that when you answer it posts as a whole tumblr post on your blog. you can also customize your askbox, only by changing the text from 'ask me anything!' to whatever you want. also, it might just be a me thing, but i like to tag who sent the anon in by their url or anonymous if theyre on anon

anon/anonymous - what we use to refer to people who are sending you an ask while on anonymous. some people have them off, because many people dont have the balls to send... unsavory asks on main. this is also why when people are getting hate, anon is turned off

queue - something ive actually neglected to mention! when you add things to your queue, it will post a certain amount of posts over time at the rate you set it to, during the time range you set it to

communities - tumblr communities are a more recent thing that was added to tumblr! you can go join them if youd like. quick warning though, communities that are open tend to get the occasional porn bot posting links in it. report it to a community moderator. this also means that communities that you have to be accepted into likely arent going to reject you. its probably just there to help prevent bots from getting in

porn bots - bots that post links to porn. they spam tags, communities, and spam follow people. report the porn as spam or sexual content, block, and move on

of course, there are way more terms used on this website than this, especially fandom specific ones. i couldnt possibly include them all, but this should be enough so you can understand what people are saying most of the time

a while ago to my knowledge some minor on twitter called out user and scar artist @/addictedantler for a variety of things on his side nsft blog. in response they got sent some nasty things which is besides the point but bears mentioning. now personally i dont think any minor should be the one to be doing that, its not healthy especially when they then get harassed by grown adults. and you might think, oh its just erotica, not so bad whats the deal? and i agree! theres really no issue with that kind of art even rpf, it doesnt matter.

the issue here is the other content matter of the blog and how @/addictedantler is responding. he is lying saying its some other artist that he is safe, it wasnt his blog guys! now, not only is it a blatant lie for reasons i will display later but i find it especially disturbing given what he posted on his now deleted blog and what he continues to post on the remade blog. a certain liking for minors. and in labeling himself safe, covering this up and pushing it away he protects his reputation. he makes himself seem trustworthy. gives him easy access to the many, many minors in this fandom. it worries me a great deal.

Why people tend to choose Crowley of Aziraphale, and, consequently, think Aziraphale is bad

This might be a long post, i'll cover some topics and i might get all over the place at some point! But please be patient! Can i get into it?

Inversion of values

When first watching Good Omens, you might expect a strong inversion of values, that Heaven is bad and Hell is good, angels are the oppresors and demons the victims

It is mostly religiously (religious trauma) motivated, aka "christianity is a fucking bullshit" motivated, to expect seeing the ones who calls themselfs good (Heaven, who we interpret as Christian religious figures) be actually bad (wich, in real life, they tend to be) and, the ones they cast out as evil and sinful (Hell, wich we interpret in this case as anyone the church calls sinful, like the queer comunity) to be good and innocent and just different, it makes us feel emphatic for them, even seeing that they are, indeed, bad

I believe some people just dont want to accept it, they want to believe the angels are inherently bad and the demons just questioned their bad ways

But they arent, if anything ALL angels and demons are naturally good and innocent, "oh but Gabriel!" He was naturally good, we saw it, the same with Michael and Uriel too, they're all just tainted by the strong grip Heaven demands for them to have; in episode 1 season 2, we see both Crowley (as starmaker) and Aziraphale being totally innocent and adorable, they're good by nature, no one in the story is actually evil

When this inversion of values we wish for isnt fulfilled, it might cause an annoyance, i know a lot of people who dont accept it, and just make it up because... well is expected!

Need for a villain and favorites

As we saw, people that hate Aziraphale choose to see Heaven as evil, as the villain, and that is also followed by many people who dont hate Aziraphale! Well, might i say that... we dont have a real villain in Good Omens? The angels arent evil for wishing to follow what they believe to be God's plan, nor for deminishing humanity- but i'm getting ahead of myself here!

The need to see Heaven as inhetently bad, the big bad villain, makes people see Aziraphale, going back there "freely", hurting Crowley's feelings, saying Hell/demons are the bad guys (wich they ARE?? There is not an inversion of values!) As him being evil, as him going to the side of the villain instesd of choosing Crowley, going back to CROWLEY'S abusers, not his, not theirs, Crowley

I do believe humans have a natural need to have favorites, when you're a kid is always "wich caracther of this cartoon am i?" and later is always "wich do i relate to more? Wich do i like more?", and people choose Crowley for all those reasons above and probally some personal ones too

So! As a small conclusion:

People choose to prefer Crowley, they choose to see Crowley as better because he's a "good demon", he's the victim that fell from Heaven and hates Hell, he's the queer caracther, he's kind and genuine and helps Aziraphale and have a car he loves

Because of the idea that Aziraphale is: A) opposite to Crowley; B) an Angel! (The abusers! The bad guys! The evil!); C) a BAD angel for that matter, he's selfish and mundane and comes across as rude to Crowley (because he acts so fucking autistic too!); people tend to DISLIKE Aziraphale, small simple minded people, but people nonetheless

I know the whole post is a bit over the place, it might sound confusing here and there, but i really wanted to put all this together to try and understand why people hate Aziraphale

I though maybe this can give a small input on why people think like that, it sures helps me to understand how they think that and what they mean by their terrible takes! I guess is mostly them being naive

Oh! You know how in the 2000's the media was demonizing femininity by having blond, pink, feminine villains in their high school romances? How we, to this day, tend to see feminine girls as fake, vulgar, naive, etc? How most teen girls go through a "not like other girls phase" because of that?

im not gonna give the whole rant about how annoying it is that stolas is constantly woobified, because 100 critical blogs have done it much more gracefully than i ever could. but it is just SO dissapointing to watch a man that couldve been SUCH a compelling villain be the ONLY one who is EVER sympathized with in the show. we are supposed to feel bad for him and believe that both sides are wrong in the stolitz situation, when stolas' crimes are SO MUCH WORSE than all of blitzs bad deeds combined. he co-erced blitz into a sex contract as the only means of doing his job, and then made HIM feel guilty for not falling n love with him during it. the 'both sides are in the wrong' comment gets particularly frustrating when the show has, tme and time again, only let stolas be the one with support. blitz is made to look unreasonable, no matter how right he is. and, in this instance, stolas is the one getting invited to this party to celebrate being ""wronged"" by blitz.

back to verosika. especially now that the episode is out, i am even more firmly on her side. the fact that blitz broke up with HER because things were getting too serious is interesting (albiet not as interesting as i think it couldve been but thats a rant for another post). im not saying she should forgive blitz, but i do struggle to fully agree with her because of how she treated stolas in the episode. she is the first to comfort him, the first to try and encourage him to shit-talk blitz, etc etc and i just dont understand.....why?

ive already had problems with her character since the sexual assault ""joke"" from spring broken, but this also really left a bad taste in my mouth. i totally understand her desire to party and sympathize with other people who were harmed by blitz, but its frustrating that stolas was invited to be among them. stolas, the man who is very much NOT THE VICTIM in his relationship with blitz. this is more the fault of the writers than verosika herself, but it is SO FRUSTRATING that she gave him the spotlight and is trying to help him heal from a situation that is ENTIRELY HIS FAULT. stolas didnt just hurt blitzs feelings, he sexually coerced and abused him. of all people, shouldnt verosika understand how terrible that can be? the kind of hurt that can do to a person? im not saying that this terrible relationship FORGIVES blitz's wrongdoings, but you shouldnt be giving his fucking abuser a stage and a microphone to talk shit about his victim. this becomes so much more insidious to me with the conversation she has with blitz on the balcony, later. this was actually a pretty good scene imo but it could certainly be better.

this is much more opinionated and i wouldnt be surprised if even the critical community isnt with me on this one, but i long for an alternate verson of this episode thats focused on verosika being on blitz's side, instead. its been over 5 years since they dated, and even though she is still allowed to be mad, it would be nice to see that shes moved on. maybe give her a new partner like barbie wire and let her throw these parties just so she can look back and laugh and help blitz's other victims heal in the same way that she has. not to bring up an also not-great show, but in rick and morty, we see a relationship between rick and one of his ex-partners named unity. they were really terrible for each other, enabling bad/unhealthy behaviors, generally being awful. their break-up was messy, but in recent seasons, we see unity coming back, upon hearing that rick was doing something self-destructive. they worried about him, because a part of them still cared, as much as they were hurt by his actions. i would have LOVED to see a similar thing with blitz and verosika, where verosika finds out about the relationship blitz is trapped in/just got out of. i think it would be SO MUCH MORE naratively interesting, for her to be supportive of his little apology tour, and maybe even inviting HIM to the "blitzo sucks" party. not everyone (or anyone) needs to forgive him; in fact, i think coming to this party would give him perspective. his relationship with stolas has hurt him so badly, he can finally step back and understand the harm that he did to all these people. the apologies that he gave, as he admits in the episode, were shallow. but i think framing stolas as the toxic one would be better in helping him realize that he has done wrong more than what the show is currently doing. and maybe some people at the party WILL forgive him. maybe he can apologize on the stage, and some people will empathize with his situation and believe that the apology is genuine, because hes finally had to be on the other end of his own hurt. and maybe THAT would be the first step in helping blitz realize that maybe he isnt completely unlovable, because there are people who cared about him enough to be THIS DEVASTATED upon getting their heart broken by him. a conversation with verosika about what he did to her would hit so much harder after this, imo

(you'll see this kind of stuff in any fluff/angst/fantasy au i write) cw: internal organs mentioned, kinda angsty? idk sorry i get DEEP. thats it.

There's an artist in the bungalow.

She's got a mane of fire and a heart of clay. She is everything but skin and bone— for she has borne houses of stars and planets alike. The cosmos is her, and she is the cosmos. In her kindled hand is a means to create, whether she a weeping willow or gone livid in the pursuit for her head. Anguish be her tale of past days over this bungalow, because when all hope was sunken without acquainting grace, you rose upon it on two feet in ache.

You've a body similar— wrists that rebuke gold and sprout isles of lichens interchanging of your fine sylphine hairs. Borne was you, arteries dropped like glue and fled this earth like wax into hot gas, rising and rising somewhere new— instead, branches lie dying with you, inside you, a part of you, giving life to the marrow that is pulsing you. Wood is rot, bark is flaying, you are falling, that is okay. For the cosmos are desolate and resplendent with corpses by the shedload too. She is you, and you are her.

That's why she reached out for you, gave a hand made for crafting— and crafted you her partner.

Why elucidate the likeness of a visual so natural and so unquestioned in the form of organs? You question, but you do not look. Silenced. You push up on elbows and toss a hand to cradle, bringing her face into yours for a word—gobbling kiss, letting the dying hum vibrate down your chest. Ellie talks too much.

"Nhhmm.."

Satisfied. Spit smacking apart, it draws a line from pink plump to your plump of lip, and severs when you depart enough.

Her lower lip rolls inward, sucking sweetly of the spit you laid upon her mouth, coughing, "Ahem— that.. so you don't want me to show?" Dumbass. "No."

"Ooh—kay," drawled Els', the shuffling of leather and lawn surfing through your senses just a moment as she adjusts, planting that charmed chin on your shoulder— smushed like a rotten apple, "No show." and smiled, bless her smile.

i need to talk abt my world building a little, i mentioned it on a previous ask and a previous drawing but in the universe of this blog all vocal synths live together in a sort of paralel reality that co exists with our own, money is of no relevance to them and comercial banks sales in our world only correlate to how much their companies can provide for them, societal upkeep is mostly done trough synths deciding to take on jobs for no other reason than personal gratification. it is also common to share your resources with the larger synth community, miku for example is a MAJOR provider, if you need anything you can just ask her and she can get it from crypton for you

piko has famously Flopped so hes never been given much to work with by sony / kii/on, his interest in body modding was born mostly out of necessity as he was the one doing most of the upkeep for himself, being officially discontinued was a good thing for him as it gave him the greenlight to do whatever the fuck he wanted to and there was a major improvement in his software and hardware as he was able to just Fuck Around with it and change his appearence however he wanted (for example my personal piko design has more LEDs in his legs than boxart, big chunky metal circles in his joints that are purely cosmetical and can be removed whenever for comfort and his arms have been entirely replaced by sleek black ones) (out of universe all of these design decisions were taken solely because i wanted to draw him more robotic than boxart)

all of this self maintenance landed him with both an incredibly advanced body and os specially for such an old release with no proper updates and extensive software and hardware knowledge, he ended up as a pillar for the androids in the vocal synth community, if youre a robot and you need something that your creators cant/wont give you you Go to Piko. he specially helps out defoko and momo with discontinued utaus, they can mostly take care of it by themselves with other utaus' help but he is definetly on their speed dial list

another major point for pikos android body was meeting fukase, they knew of each others existence but only properly met on some random online forum about engineering and robotics and computer stuff started talking from a shared interest in computer nerd shit until one thing led to another and now they live together, fukase is huge into the hardware side of things a lot of pikos maintenance nowadays is done by him and hes become a part of the speed dial list alongside his bf, they also have silly little robotics projects together like making a functional replica of metal sonic. having yourself be opened up and your insides messed with by someone you trust has got to be like top 3 most intimate experiences ever its fun :3

another thing i couldnt find anywhere else to fit is that pikos tail is and has always been detachable, it looks similar to this, thats a guitar cable with a usb end

it attaches to his body the same way you plug a guitar into an amplifier and can genuenly be used for data transfer :3 afaik that makes no sense in real life and these cables are really kinda ass but were also talking about a gay sentient robot from a parallel dimension so i dont care

i thought about having the same jack from the yamaha rgxa2 but that one sticks out and it would function weird as a tail attachment so he has something more similar to these angled ones :3 in my experience these are also just easier to use because i usually play my guitar sitting down on my bed or couch 😭

the jack is somewhere on his lower back just below the waist, i think on boxart the cable sticks out trough a hole in his clothes but I dont like that so i just have it go trough under them instead

hey so. okay wait. for context, im a bigender trans man. (its a little complicated but i want to go through a masculinising transition while acknowledging that. you know. sometimes i might be a girl.) and ive always been more on the "feminine" side. admittedly it was mostly because i didnt know how to be anything else. forcemasc helped me SO much in becoming comfortable with being fat and physically imposing as a man rather than moulding myself into a twinky guy for everyone elses comfort.

because im bigender, i was hesitant about a beard. because like, while i want nothing more than to look like my dad, i really want to look more androgynous. make em guess, you know? see people fumble and switch between pronouns and sir/maam. a beard would be counter intuitive because i live in a conservative brown country lmaoo.

whats good cozmez heads today i will be rambling about cozmez as per usual and what it means for them to be hungry and selfish and how the twins exhibit that in two separate ways connecting to their dynamic as brothers. tw for cozmez and my overtly casual and messy writing style. 1k words.

so like this isnt at all serious or even deep this is like genuine surface level rambling and connections BUT i believe for my blog and future thoughts this is important to establish my stance. theyre hungry. no surprise. growing up on the streets as strays will have you acting like that. their lyrics show that off. survive was food themed because the twins are hungry for their own survival (and greed) and gokuluck is starved enough to live. or something.

to start and state the obvious. their dynamic started because nayuta was born sickly and overall weaker. despite their age difference being nothing at all important kanata took the role of older brother in order to protect and save the both of them. nayuta simply received that. they also grew up with basically nothing except each other to live for. starving and sharing meals. this causes kanata to be tunnel visioned on his brother while nayuta is overall more selfish and self centered with it. everything kanata did was for the both of them, mostly nayuta, and everything nayuta did was still for the both of them. but mostly for nayuta.

he spends money on clothes which is a hobby that will benefit the both of them and cozmez. but also its really for himself. the side affect of it making kanata happy is just by proxy of kanata loving nayuta. if hes happy im happy mentality. i would sacrifice my own being for my brother mentality.

so. kanata does things for cozmez because it will benefit nayuta. nayuta also does things for cozmez because it will benefit nayuta. their actions are selfish in that its only ever about themselves and cozmez as a whole. but kanata is just less so. or at least appears to be but thats something else for when i talk about phantom nayuta.

back to hunger. food is a theme in some of their art. enough for it to be noticeable. they are hungry. hungry for power and fame even. listen to any of their lyrics. even their verses from frozen ice which i will be doing notes abt + other shuffle units. but it leads back to this anyways.

chain interlude. so you know the cozmez chain symbol fake out ouroboro thing? appears as kanatas chunky ass chain pendant and also in their hair for the party4all artists thing. i call it a fakeout bcs its not a true ouroboro and double tailed. real ouroboros eat both of em i suppose. anyways something something hunger and survival. like to eat your own tail is something. to eat someone elses tail is something too. also since ouroboros can be used to represent the cosmos theres definitely something there and maybe even more compelling but still!!

same point more proof. kanata is working on lyrics because it is his passion but also it benefits cozmez and furthermore nayuta. he doesnt mean to cause any offense to nayuta by working during meals he is literally just locked tf in. nayuta wants attention. because who wouldnt. and also kanata would enjoy giving him attention because that is who they are. nayuta benefits kanata but not on purpose, it is just because kanata is easy to please if its nayuta. does this make sense.

(a/n. i feel a bit bad for stating the obvious over and over again but. i mean come fucking on. i have to fill my blog with something and this is interesting enough for me to want to repeat it again and again.)

so. back to my point of this being about what it means for cozmez to be hungry and furthermore greedy. what is hunger? what is greed? while not exactly the same, shown by hit lyrics from rapper AnZ, "its all about what you really need. its all about who you wanna be. its not about money and the rings. the meaning of desire isnt always greed." hunger/desire is not the same as greed but are interlocked concepts.

fuck does that mean for us? kanata is hungry in that he craves survival in a manner that is selfish because he is willing to cross others in order to get it. kanata chain snatching allen. that shit should happen again btw ill cry fr. but it wasnt because he wanted it for kicks, he stole it to make sure they would win. nayuta is hungry in that he craves things that serve him, which will also benefit kanata but thats like. a secondary thought really. they both* put nayuta first to the point of it looking stupid as hell. kanata is locked in for his brother and nayuta is a greedy fuck.

*this is a major overgeneralization. nayuta is selfish within reason and is not this insanely self centered. like if it mattered he would put kanata first because at their core theyre are like that and i would never slander him but like. "ill get em all, so many things, the chains and the rings." do you for real need them boy.

and of course their lyrics arent always strictly dichotomous. kanata has lines about having things in a materialistic sense and nayuta has survival getting to the top lines, but there is a percentage of who gets what most. its also kind of yin and yang if you think about it bcs like if we consider perhaps hunger for survival as a "good" then kanata has a majority of good with an amount of greed and nayuta vice versa.

also. there will be something about the animanga cozmez apple art but i might need to lock into the bible a little for that. and imo that will likely be more about snakes and apples and sin than just hunger and greed. but whatever subscribe and hit that like button for more. theres also something to say about how most of this comes from their lyrics.

which from a technical standpoint is because like. its the easiest way to input that information to the public and is hard to bring up in conversation within a voice drama. but their lyrics within universe are very much their thoughts on paper. they arent fake or exaggerating because a lot of their persona is authenticity. but like is this fr what you guys are showing others. whatever okay.

final thoughts: theyre hungry and weird and i dont like them.

heya! as someone who dabbles in speculative biology (mostly specbio-ifying existing species in media) but doesn't linger too long on whether something's actually POSSIBLE as long as it makes the thing i'm working on feel more alive, i was curious what a more experienced eye would think of a specific trait I gave one of my species.

so, the actual source material doesnt matter here because the specbio holds up on its own, but ive got these guys who are like... human-mimicking bipedal carnivorous goats. Makes a bit more sense if i went into detail but thats not what this is about-

Point is, because goats have no upper teeth, and this is a predatory species, i opted to have "fangs" built into the upper lip- whether its calcified lip or some other kind of spike, i'm not entirely set on, but would that... work? building the meat-tearing sharp canine teeth as structures connected to the lip rather than the upper jaw? Or is there some part of mouth anatomy that'd make that ineffective at tearing (i know that it wouldnt be a stable surface to attach something that has to not move much, but surely there's a way to anchor the "fangs" in place without over-limiting lip movement...?)

Many ungulates are built this way because they just use their lips and lower front teeth to tug and rip plant matter and then their tongue helps drag it back to their molars.

but let's see another ungulate that actually has some teeth on the front of their upper jaw: (image source)

now, llamas and alpacas are closer relatives of camels than goats, but there are also some deer species with fangs, so it's not entirely out of the question that perhaps some fictional goat creature would also develop fangs if they were useful. Typically, ungulates with fangs have them for the purpose of competition with mating rivals, which is why they're on the males.

So you could just give your carnivorous goats some fangs, since sharp front teeth are very useful for anything that eats meat. But really, if they have a strong enough neck and jaw, they only need to be able to bite into the flesh and then give it a good hard pull to rip it off in chunks they can swallow whole.

It's also worth noting that the upper jaw bone on goats and other ungulates is quite long, so if you curve it down just a bit at the end, they could have a bit of a bony protrusion at the very front of their mouth, just enough to help stabilize a good solid chomp.

and if they're bipedal and have hands, they could also use tools, so perhaps they rely on biting more as a hunting method and then use some sort of sharp object to cut the meat, in which case they only need to have enough of a bite force to hold their prey by the neck and give it a good hard shake or something.

I do love the idea of carnivorous goat people, it's fun. good luck with your project!

so uhhh robot boombox au is pretty much just in my brain, i havent posted abt it or anything. but ive got vague ideas about it!

im gonna put bullet points under the cut in no particular order, cause again, this is mostly just concepts, so expect a bunch of yapping

in this au boombox would be created by someone, and was made to be a sort of 'testing device' for a manufactured gear (his boombox). while also being a sort of artificial life based on mimicry.

(note, i am not well versed in robotics stuff, if something seems stupid uhhh whoops)

i havent come up with a creator or creators, but they made him with the intent of seeing if they could basically make an artificial demon that could get along with other demons well! (thats where his creators got the idea to make him a dj, or a glorified mp3 player came from.)

hes entirely mechanical, his power source is through electrical charging. he charges often, which comes across as him sleeping often.

i imagine him with a charger tail that can also somewhat extend.

his visor is literally attached to his face and would be more emotive than regular boombox phighting

i imagine he got let out to interact with other demons, he was given a lot of carefully monitored data, and even now seeks out ways to be more empathetic, and to be responsive to others emotions and to help them.

he doesnt become evil or anything like that

his 'skin' would be some kind of rubber or latex, used to protect internal components and appear more demon-like.

he has two speakers imbedded in his chest, and in the rubber skin there'd be mesh to let sound travel clearer, which happen to look like top scars ( :P )

in place of where a human heart would be, he has an internal metronome, which he can set the tempo of. it can also be heard if youre super close, like a faux heartbeat.

his horns work as a secondary charging method throughout the day, acting like low powered solar panels, (like the ones youd find on calculators).

his horns take in uv light and convert it to energy. amd they are covered with a transparent solid material (imagine something like resin) to give the appearance of a normal demons horn. however this means charging through his tail is much more optimal than the passive uv charging.

has a database in his torso containing specifically music knowledge. audio can be downloaded to there and sorted and dissected to make him work better and understand the tastes of demons

in his heads a mini computer.

his mouth is a simple metal open close rectangle shape, with small components that either make the faux-skin sides of his mouth pull up (to make a smile) or down (to make a frown)

also in this au rgb trio still a thing because i am insane abt them

i imagine skate and sling learn that boombox is a robot, but they still care for him and treat him the same as before

he doesnt 'feel' anything in a person sense, and he hasnt gained sentience or anything. his programming makes it so he's drawn to other demons, and wants to make them happy. and in return, he feels 'happy' when he accomplishes that.

he learns about friends and other relationships and such, and if he has a few people he's especially close to that he can make happy just by being around, it means he's achieving his goal.

so he does have favorites, mostly because he learned that demons tend to have favorite people, and therefore replicated that behavior

he's in a qpr with skate and sling, who r both dating eachother, theyre all very affectionate.

sometimes if he gets too many positive inputs at a time, you can hear his fans running quicker (like, example, his partners are being super sweet to him, verbally or physically.

he doesnt know who made him, nor really cares to find out

when he was made, he was given the knowledge of about a 17 year old, and the mentality of one. he counts his birthdays as aging, being currently 23.

sometimes when him, sling and skate are sleeping together, he'll play calming music directly from himself.

he doesnt sleep, but shuts off non-essential components and kind of pretends to sleep while charging. since he has to be plugged into a socket of sorts. usually during that mode hes sorting any files, or things he's collected. throughout the day

sling and skate dont know that he isnt actually sleeping, and think he's just powered off

his gear works as youd expect, able to play music and use its abilities. he's just also able to directly play music from his body

when being created, he was made first, and the idea of an artificial gear came second. which is why theres overlapping abilities that may seem redundant.

his creators are no longer alive

his creators were from playground

he would likely be 'killed' for having an artificial gear and used for parts if certain people knew (the law)
