Then she turned, opened the oven, and took out a dish that looked like dog shit. And I asked “what’s that” and she said “lasagna.”

had a dream i was a mage that could sense changes in people's health bc i could hear their blood. and every time elek was nearby i heard his heart beating loud and fast, never slowing down.

i tried talking to him about it, but he always changed the subject and left the room in a hurry.

i asked a few of our mutual friends to bring it up with him gently, and it almost worked. But the moment he caught on, his eyes went wide. He stared at them in disbelief for a second, then sharply turned his head to me, gave a long resentful look and stormed out.

it took some time to find him again and when i did, he was leaning on the balcony railing, looking at the night sky. he spoke with his back turned:

"not only did you take note of my weakness, but also went ahead and spread word about it."

"i just wanted to help. and find someone who can treat it maybe. or at least find out what this condition is."

"rest assured, i know what it is." he paused for a moment, then added: "i'll tell you, if you swear to drop it and never let another soul know."

"of course."

he seemed pleasantly surprised.

"okay then. my openness for your silence."

last night I had the dream where my mother is trying to kill me. I have not had this dream in a long time. yesterday I was cleaning the good scissors and cut myself by accident. in the dream, my mother is trying to kill me with the same good scissors. the good scissors are sharp, and my memory of the color of blood is very vivid, very red, very fresh. in the dream I am bleeding very much. the dream is unpleasant but it is not unsettling, exactly: I have known this dream many times. In this dream, I always die.

last night, for the first time I can remember, I fought back in the dream. I did not die. upon waking up, this felt much worse.
