The team principal reader x various is everything to me 😩 Can we get like Reader’s first day in the paddock? Like everyone’s looking at her and she’s totally oblivious to all this? And everyone’s tripping on their feet trying to make a good impression?
All Eyes on Her
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The paddock had never been quieter.
Well—technically it wasn’t quiet. Reporters were still shouting, engineers were still hauling crates, team members still darted between garages like sparks of electricity. But somehow, when she walked in, the whole atmosphere paused. The sound remained, but every single soul stilled.
And the hush was caused by her.
Yn Yln.
McLaren’s brand-new, 22-year-old team principal. A figure of tabloid rumors and Twitter frenzy all winter long. Speculated, underestimated, doubted. Until now. Until this moment.
Because now she wasn’t just a press release or a blurry vacation photo from Monaco.
Now she was here.
And she was everything.
Her Louis Buitton heels clicked against the concrete like a countdown to impact. Precision. Confidence. Destruction. Her tailored navy McLaren blouse was half-tucked into high-waisted black trousers, cinched at the waist with a belt that screamed quiet luxury. In one hand, she held her iPad, glowing with race simulations and tire degradation charts. Over her eyes, her designer sunglasses reflected the shimmering desert light and the chaos around her.
And draped from her wrist like an afterthought? A matte Birkin bag the color of burnt caramel. Understated. Impossibly expensive.
Her expression was unreadable. Calculating. Focused. She didn’t spare a glance at the stunned faces gawking at her from every direction.
She just walked.
Oscar, halfway through his smoothie, choked on the straw.
“Is that—?”
“Yes,” Lando said before he could finish, voice low and reverent. “That’s her.”
Oscar’s eyes were wide. “She’s even cooler than in the Zoom meetings.”
“She’s not real,” Lando muttered. “We manifested her. There’s no way this is real.”
And then—just as Yn reached the McLaren hospitality unit—she lifted her sunglasses, saw them, and smiled.
A slow, warm, affectionate smile.
And both drivers nearly passed out on the spot.
“My drivers!” she called, voice like silk but with command woven into every syllable.
She walked up, heels sharp, bag swinging, and kissed each of them on both cheeks.
Lando was the first to fumble his words. “Uh—bonjour—hi—hey—bonjour again?”
Oscar’s brain shut off entirely.
Yn tilted her head and gave them both a fond look. “You’ve both been causing chaos without me, haven’t you?”
Lando blinked. “Only a little.”
Oscar finally found his voice. “We missed you.”
“I missed you too.” She smiled at both of them. “Let’s win something this year, yeah?”
Both of them nodded in unison like puppies. “Yes. Yes, please. Let’s win everything.”
All around the paddock, eyes followed her.
Lewis, dressed in a sleek red Ferrari polo, had paused mid-interview. “Sorry, can you repeat that?” he asked the reporter, gaze still on Yn. “Bit distracted.”
The interviewer chuckled. “You’re not the only one.”
Lewis tilted his head as he watched her greet the engineers. “McLaren’s new principal?”
“Yup.”
Lewis gave a low, appreciative whistle. “They didn’t say she was a goddess.”
Carlos, freshly transferred to Williams, leaned against the pit wall and watched her breeze past. His jaw dropped slightly, arms folded, then quickly unfolded as he straightened up and smoothed his hair back.
Next to him, Alex gave a soft laugh. “You okay, man?”
“She hasn’t even looked at me,” Carlos whispered. “I need to walk past again.”
Alex raised a brow. “Didn’t you walk past her twice already?”
“She didn’t notice. I need to be more—Spanish.”
“Carlos, you are Spanish.”
“Exactly.”
Across the garage block, Kimi watched from the Mercedes hospitality unit, sipping his water bottle. His cheeks were flushed, his ears red.
“She’s… terrifyingly beautiful,” he mumbled.
George patted him on the back. “Welcome to F1.”
Yuki, standing outside the RB motorhome, had a full plate of snacks in hand and dropped all of them when she walked by.
“Shit!” he cried as fruit tumbled to the ground. He glanced up—and Yn was already ten meters ahead, her attention fully on her tablet, oblivious to the chaos in her wake.
Behind Yuki, Liam let out a low chuckle. “You good, mate?”
“No. I need to marry her.”
Ollie, the young Haas rookie, stood completely still, eyes wide, heart thumping.
He was so stunned, he didn’t even realize he’d walked into the side of the media pen structure.
“Oh my God,” he groaned, rubbing his forehead. “I’m concussed. And in love.”
In the middle of a media scrum, Charles turned to see Yn stroll past in a flash of style and poise, her presence like gravity in human form.
He blinked.
“She’s—she’s my type.”
Pierre, standing next to him, looked mildly offended. “She’s everyone’s type.”
“I feel like I need to say something French around her,” Charles said, dreamily. “Like… baguette.”
Pierre rolled his eyes. “Just don’t embarrass us.”
Inside the McLaren garage, Yn had finally settled in front of the data screens. She’d already pointed out three flaws in the aero report and adjusted Oscar’s sim setup with a few flicks of her fingers.
Her team was completely under her spell.
And completely loyal.
One of the junior engineers whispered to another, “I’d walk barefoot through gravel if she asked.”
“Same.”
“She didn’t even look at Ferrari’s hospitality.”
“She doesn’t have to. Ferrari looked at her.”
Back on the pit lane, Lando and Oscar stood like two knights guarding a queen.
Oscar leaned toward Lando. “So how long until she realizes every driver is trying to impress her?”
“She won’t,” Lando said, eyes still following her movements. “She doesn’t see herself like that.”
“She called us her drivers,” Oscar said with a ridiculous grin.
“I know.” Lando grinned right back. “I’m never getting over that.”
That night, after the day’s chaos, she finally took off her heels and dropped onto the couch in the McLaren motorhome. Her Birkin rested beside her. Her sunglasses were off. Her feet ached. But she smiled.
“Good first day?” Lando asked, poking his head in.
She gave him a tired but genuine smile. “I didn’t fall on my face. That’s a win.”
Oscar stepped in with a smoothie. “You do know the entire paddock is obsessed with you, right?”
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
Lando snorted. “No, seriously. It’s embarrassing. We saw Yuki drop his food. Carlos has walked by five times. Kimi spilled his water.”
Oscar handed her the smoothie. “Charles said ‘baguette’ at the sight of you.”
She laughed. Really laughed.
And they both fell a little harder.

Incubus Husband Angst(GOOD END)
Pt1
WK: 1.7k
warning: mentions of a womb tattoo, breeding, make up sex, tail use
A/N: the yandere and no forgiveness ending will only be available to my kofi members! I’ll post a link to each ending when I finish writing them ^^
It was later in the evening, and you were just getting home from work. The day felt like it went on forever, and not just because your boss was being hard on you for missing a few days of work.
No, you couldn't get your mind off of your husband... if you could even call him that still. Your entire heart ached every time you pictured his smiling face in your mind, and it made focusing on your tasks nearly impossible.
Seeing his things littered across your apartment, or smelling his perfume in your car as you drove home was just another reminder of what had happened.
At times you wondered if you had been too harsh... and then you remembered his words. The heartbreak suddenly turned into fury, making your hands clench around the wheel before you settled back into an emptiness that threatened to consume you.
Did you still love him?
That question was something you didn't even want to answer. You knew you did, after everything not only did you love him, you adored him. He had made you feel beautiful after years of hating yourself and others too.
Why did he have to do the very thing that made you dislike yourself all over again?
Jealousy... what an ugly emotion. All your life you had always been jealous. Jealous of other women, of the way they looked themselves in the mirror with a smile instead of contempt, of how they were able to love someone without being looked at with disgust…
He had made you forget what jealousy even was for a while. His eyes were always on you, and you even thought that you were all he wanted.
Then he started flirting with other women, always sending you a knowing look. Even if you knew he was just trying to make you jealous, you still felt hurt and... ugly. Every woman he flirted with was perfectly thin, beautiful, and looked nothing like you.
What if he really was into them?
As you pulled into your driveway, you raised an eyebrow when you noticed your front door was ajar. You could have sworn you closed and locked it… but you had been super forgetful as of late.
Since you sent him away…
“Must’ve forgotten…” you murmured, setting down your bag and walking in. It was dark, which wasn’t unusual. Lucian left all the lights off besides the one in your bedroom when you weren’t home. He didn’t want to make the light bill go up…
Lucian wasn’t there anymore, though. So you didn’t expect your bedroom light to be on when you walked in…
Not only was the light on, but on your bed was the one person you wanted to see the most, and yet dreaded speaking with.
“Lucian? What are you doing here?”
He flinched when you used his full name. For most of your relationship, you called him Luci. “Don’t be angry, love, I just wanted to talk.”
Your heart thumped against your ribcage. He was here, his soft lilac colored hair tied back so you could get a good look at his face.
Lucian was even paler than he usually was, his golden eyes a bit puffy and red. Had he been crying?
“Not much to talk about…” you murmured, hanging up your coat. “You’re single again, so there’s no need to hold yourself back. Go talk to all the women you want.”
Lucian clutched his chest, as if your words had hurt his heart. “(Name)… please, don’t say that. You can’t just end things like this.”
“I already did, Lucian. You just don’t know how to take a hint.”
The incubus stood, his tail swaying in either annoyance or anxiety. “Please, before you kick me out… just allow me to talk. All I ask for is five minutes of your time…”
He reached out and held your hands in his, squeezing gently. A shiver went up your spine when his skin made contact with yours.
“2 minutes, alright?”
You didn’t miss the way he perked up when he noticed your flustered appearance, but he didn’t comment on it.
Lucian took a moment to compose himself before he began. “(Name)… I want to apologize. I hurt you and what I did, talking to that girl and teasing you… it was stupid.”
It took everything in you to keep your eyes on his face. You wanted to turn away and cry just from him mentioning what happened…
“…”
He sighed, his tail drooping. “Being apart from you… it’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to experience. I…”
His eyebrows knit together, tears threatening to spill from his watery yellow eyes. “I love you more than anything, I’d never cheat on you, ever. Flirting and trying to get you jealous… It was selfish of me to not even think about how that could hurt you. Not just this time, but every other time, too.”
The two of you were quiet for a moment. Lucian’s tail swayed nervously, his claws clicking together as he waited for your answer.
When you looked over his face, you noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the slight redness to them. It was clear he had been crying, and your husband wasn’t getting much sleep either.
In the past, he had always clung to you desperately when it was time for bed, nuzzling and cuddling into you. The sudden lack of your warmth during bedtime probably left him feeling cold and tired…
A rumble came from his belly, and he clutched his belly with a wince. That meant he hadn’t been with anyone while he was gone!
Your eyes widened at the realization. He had gone without sex, unable to eat or sleep without his wife near.
Your insecurities slowly started to melt away, the jealousy ling forgotten about. “… I forgive you, Luci.”
That broke the dam, and he couldn’t hold back his tears. Lucian sobbed as he spring forward, wrapping his arms around you. Kisses were left along your face and neck as he blubbered.
“Th-thank you… thank you so much, my love. God, I missed you…”
You simply hugged him back, playing with his long black hair. He was starving, and you missed him too, so you smiled when his tail moved up your skirt and pressed against your panties.
He bit down on your neck, growling lightly. Lucian needed to fuck you, he hadn’t eaten in a week at this point.
It didn’t take long for him to lift you into his arms and carry you to bed. Some hot make up sex would do both of you some good.
“I love you more than anything…” he said between kisses, his tail rubbing against your wet panties. “You’re the only one I want to make love to, the only one I feel anything for…”
That was truly an honor. Incubi and succubi were incredibly careful with who they chose to become mates with.
Once mated with someone, they could no longer gain sustenance from other people, and were tied to them for the rest of their partner’s life.
Lucian’s tail slipped past the damp fabric and began rubbing against your clit, his tongue tangling with yours. He was desperate for you, his cock already leaking precum onto your belly.
“Beautiful…” he cooed, squishy your plump hips and soft tummy. “Don’t you ever doubt that, love. I chose you…”
You let out a breathy moan as his mouth latched onto your nipple, suckling eagerly as his tail pushed into your needy cunt. It wriggled around inside of you, making you cry out in pleasure.
“L-Luci!”
He placed his hand over your womb, smiling down at you as a womb tattoo was placed there. It was one of his powers as an incubus.
You had played around with them before, but the effect began immediately.
“This one enhances your pleasure and makes you more fertile…”
Lucian nuzzled his face against your neck, the slight movement causing you to cum around his tail. “That’s my girl, I’m gonna make it all up to you…”
He pulled his tail out, letting you suck on it and clean off your juices while he positioned his cock at your hole. It was clenching around nothing, and he was happy to know you were ready to be fucked.
“Shh, baby…”
He caressed your cheek as tears of pleasure fell from your eyes. “That's it, let me take care of you… it feels good, doesn’t it?”
Lucian moved his hips slowly, fucking into you just enough to relieve some of the pressure building in your belly, but not enough to completely satisfy you just yet.
“Mmm, you look so cute when you’re all needy…”
Usually, he’d tease you for a good bit, but today he wanted to focus entirely on your pleasure.
His hands gripped your plump hips, squeezing lightly. You were so damn soft and warm, it made him want to cum inside you and give you the baby you had been asking for.
You came around his cock several times, and all he needed to do for your walls to tighten up for another orgasm was gently flick your perky buds.
The womb tattoo made you extra sensitive, every touch and caress made you cum, and you were getting overstimulated, fast!
“F-fuck, sweetheart… so tight, you’re squeezing me like crazy.”
You wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing him in for a kiss as he came inside of you.
The night was full of lots of creampies and lovemaking. By the end of it, his hunger was satiated and you were full of cum.
“You’re really ready for a baby..?” you asked, tracing circles into his naked chest.
“Mhm… I am now.”
All he knew is that he didn’t want to play around and tease you anymore, you were everything to him. If you wanted a baby, so did he.
So the two of you went at it again the next night. You walked in to see Lucian in his favorite set of lacy lingerie, waiting for you on the silk sheets as if presenting himself to you like a gift.
“Let’s try again, love. I missed you while you were at work…”

Listening to ♪ ིྀ: The Party & The After Party - The Weeknd
Notes: Sorry it’s been so long T^T, I’ve been really struggling with writing and I’m not even confident or necessarily happy with this either. I hope you guys enjoy it regardless <\3 I totally didn’t write this because i’m projecting (I want Sevika so bad)
Tumblr media
Your sweet voice that flowed from between your lips like syrup were all Sevika could even think about as you sat in her lap at The Last Drop. Her flesh arm wrapped tenderly around your waist and the mechanical one draped across the bar counter, shielding you from any drunkard who might bump into you. Even though it was already winding down and there were few patrons left in the bar, she would never leave you exposed. She didn’t retain a single word you were speaking though, she was too focused on the tone of your voice, the way your hands flailed wildly as you explained whatever story you were telling, and most importantly your perfectly pouty lips.
Thieram stood behind the counter listening intently, nodding his head at every little detail of your story along with Ran who would throw out a comment every so often. “…and you would not believe it… I slipped on a banana peel!” You could barely even get through your sentence without breaking out into a fit of giggles. You buried your face in your hands, tears threatening to spill over because of your laughter. The laughter of the whole group snapped Sevika out of her daze and she forced out a chuckle at your antics. It wasn’t that she didn’t find your story interesting, she just couldn’t help but get lost in your whole being.
You picked up on her behavior and shot her a look over your shoulder. You furrowed your brows gently and your lips fell into a little frown as you looked into her gray eyes. She looked up at you through her lashes as apologetically as she could before planting a soft kiss on your cheek. You’d let it slide for now, but when you got home you’d be sure to question her.
The rest of the night went off without a hitch, and Sevika made sure to actually contribute to the conversations. You had almost forgotten about her earlier slip up, until the same thing happened again. You were mid sentence when you noticed Sevika hadn’t said anything for the longest time, but her grip was beginning to tighten on you. Her arm had moved slightly lower to wrap around your hip instead, her large hand mindlessly rubbed small circles into the flesh exposed by your shorts. Your words faltered at her touch and you fumbled over your sentence. Your hand rested over her own before gliding it down to rest on your thigh instead. You kept a watchful eye on her to make sure she didn’t try anything before the night was over.
Unfortunately, it was getting late and everyone was growing tired. You four were the only other ones in the bar since it was pretty late into the night. Thieram didn’t want to kick you guys out, but he did have to close up the bar sooner or later.  “It was nice seeing everyone again! Maybe next time we could play a few rounds of pool?” You planted your hands on your hips, tilting your head to the side slightly awaiting an answer from your close friends. “Only if you plan to lose.” Ran quipped back. You feigned disbelief, raising a hand to your chest and gasping. “You’ll be eating your words Ran, remember this moment.”
This got a real chuckle out of Sevika this time. She slid her flesh arm around your waist and tugged you closer to her. “I bet on my princess, sorry Ran.” They dismissed the rest of the group with a wave of their hand, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever.” It was all lighthearted though, you saw the corner of their lips tug up into a smile before turning to make their leave. Now it was just Thieram, Sevika and yourself outside of the bar. The young man bid you farewell before stepping back inside the establishment for his closing duties.
A comfortable silence settled over you as you began the walk back to your shared home. Now that it was just the two of you alone though, you wanted to prod her about her seemingly not paying attention to you. “Sev… How come you weren’t listening to a word I said tonight?” You tried to keep the pout off your lips, you really did, but you were kind of irritated with her. Sevika looked like a deer caught in headlights, like she didn’t quite know how to explain herself. You stopped in your tracks, waiting for her to talk. “I’m not moving ‘til you tell me.” You knew you were being stubborn, but you thought you deserved an explanation. If there was something on her mind, you wanted to know.
The older woman could most definitely overpower you to keep you walking, but instead she stopped the moment you did. Her arm was still wrapped around your waist but she turned to face you. You were staring up at her with those big, beautiful eyes of yours and she couldn’t help but get lost in your features. You were feeling shy under her gaze, your cheeks flushing uncontrollably. She brought her flesh hand up to your face, gripping your chin between her thumb and index finger gently. “Princess, I’m sorry you’re just too beautiful. I was so mesmerized by your sweet voice I could barely process what you were saying tonight.” Well you couldn’t be mad at that explanation.
“I was just thinking about how much more sweet you’d sound under me, begging for more.” She angled your head up slightly higher before capturing your lips in a kiss that was far too quick for your liking. When she parted from you, you tried to chase after her lips eagerly just wanting to feel her against you again. “Why don’t we get home first?” She murmured. All previous thoughts you had were no longer present and instead all you could think about was getting home as quickly as possible. You nodded slowly and you two continued down the path to home.
Your home wasn’t the closest to The Last Drop and your legs were getting tired, but you didn’t want to complain. Your pace was beginning to slow, the shoes you had decided on were not the most comfortable, but you weren't thinking about the walk home when you chose your attire for the night. The gentlewoman that Sevika was, had noticed your discomfort and scooped you up into her arms. No matter how many times she did it, it made you gasp still. “Sevi!” You wrapped your arms around her neck as an automatic response and she just chuckled. “I can’t have my princess feeling tired before we even get home.”
The implications of that were enough to make your cheeks flush again, and you were practically buzzing in her arms with anticipation.
The rest of the walk home was filled with sweet idle conversation, although it was mostly you rambling away like always while Sevika listened intently. She couldn’t get enough of you and your honeyed tone.
Your shared home was slowly coming into view and you huffed prematurely, knowing she’d have to set you down to get the door open. “Sweet girl, I’m going to get this door open, but you’ll be in my arms again in no time.” Your feet hit the ground for the first time in a while, but you felt well rested thanks to your thoughtful girlfriend.
“Thank you baby.” You drew out the pet name as she opened the door, whisking you inside before locking it behind you. Before you could even get another word out you were in her strong arms once more. Her flesh arm cradled your back and her mechanical arm hooked under your thighs as she carried you bridal style to the bedroom. Your sweet giggles filled Sevika’s ears as she planted about a dozen soft kisses all over your face.
The next time you were put down you felt fuzzy blankets beneath your body as you sank into the bed. Sevika propped herself up with her mechanical arm and snuck her knee between your thighs gently, chuckling at your eagerness to feel her when you squeezed your legs around her limb. Her gray eyes peered down at you, heavy lidded with lust and adoration for you, her perfect, angelic sweetheart. “Fuck, I wish you could see just how beautiful you look under me right now.” Her gray, puppy dog eyes met your own and you couldn’t take it anymore. The way they glimmered down at you made you want her even more. You snaked your arms around her neck and tugged her down to meet your lips in a heated kiss.
Your tongue swiped over her bottom lip briefly before prodding into her mouth. If you weren’t listening so intently you would have missed the tiny groan that emanated from her throat. You wanted to hear more, so with all your strength you pushed her to the side and flipped your positions. Sevika definitely let you, otherwise you would have stayed snuggly under her due to the difference in strength.
Your legs rested on either side of her hips and your head dipped down to her jaw to press several feather light kisses to her skin. Whatever was left of your pink lipgloss transferred to her jawline and you loved how your kiss marks looked on her tanned skin.
She was enjoying your kisses even more than you though. Her cheeks were flushed, and her eyes were fluttering shut every so often to bask in the feeling. The next time your plump lips met her skin, it was on the tender patch of skin in the middle of her throat. You placed one kiss, two kisses, and on the third one you sucked a small bruise into her skin. Her deep moans vibrated on your lips and you felt like you couldn’t get enough of her. “Baby I’m supposed to be the one taking care of you.” She chuckled in between moans.
Those soft lips of yours curled into a smile as you peered down at all your hard work. Her neck was littered with evidence of your affection. Dark purples and reds were blooming all across the expanse of her supple skin. “You can do whatever you want to me… just let me have my fun first.” You whispered into her ear, your teeth nipping her lobe.
“Whatever my princess wants, she gets.”
What you wanted to do was leave her neck completely covered in love bites, so that she’d have to wear turtlenecks out for the next two weeks. And you were on the right track for that. Sevika would never admit it out loud, even though you’ve witnessed it before, but just being kissed and bitten by you was enough for her to cum in her pants. She got off on how desperate you were to mark her and show everyone she was yours just as much as you were hers.
You slipped your hands under her cropped shirt, sliding it up her toned stomach. Her breasts sprang free and you adjusted yourself lower on her body to give them soft kisses before taking one of her nipples into your mouth. Her breathing grew heavier as you sucked little bruises into her breasts. Little grunts and sighs escaped her lips and a devilish idea presented itself to you. You nipped her nipple with your teeth as you kneaded her other breast softly. You began grinding on her, the friction felt unbelievably good for the both of you. Her body was growing taut at the sensation and in no time you had her cumming with a string of moans.
“Fuck, princess your mouth is heaven on earth…” She trailed off after taking a deep breath.
You tried containing your smile, but you felt rather accomplished for making her cum with nothing but your mouth on her. “You’re so sensitive, who knew that’s all it would take.”
“Well it’s easy to give in when I have the most beautiful woman in the world sitting on top of me.” Her charming words made your heart melt and you couldn’t help but lean down to kiss her for the millionth time. Unfortunately for you, the kiss was cut short by Sevika pulling away.
“I think it’s time to spoil my baby.”
Her flesh arm flipped you over, your back hitting the bed as she caged you underneath her broad body. A squeal escaped your lips at the sudden move and Sevika ate up your little noises as she captured your lips in a fervent kiss. Your hands instantly found purchase on her muscular shoulders as you tried to pull her closer. Her mechanical hand had a bruising grip on your hip, and the sting felt delicious. Her flesh hand was gentle, a complete contrast. She held your face like you were made of glass, her thumb caressing your blushed cheek.
As much as she loved kissing your perfect, plump lips, she wanted her mouth on your body too. She took the hem of your shirt in between her fingers and ripped it off of you. No time was wasted as she unclasped your bra as well, throwing it somewhere in the room. Her lips trailed heated kisses down your jaw, across your throat, and all across your chest. Dark lipstick was littered across your whole upper body, and it was almost making the older woman malfunction. If she could, she’d take a picture and keep it in her wallet. You were the epitome of beauty to her always, but in that moment you looked like an angel, all sprawled out for her with her marks all over you.
“Sevika… Don’t just look, touch me. Please…” You whined softly, if you weren’t so turned on you’d cringe at how needy you sounded.
She shot you a toothy grin, “I know baby, let’s get these off of you.” She tugged at the waistband of your little shorts, pulling them down your thighs, and fully off your legs. Next were the lacy panties you knew Sevika liked. She pressed a kiss to the little bow in the center of your panties before discarding those as well. The cold air hit your body and you shivered at the feeling.
“Come warm me up, Sevi.”
That’s all she needed to hear before hiking your thighs up on her shoulders before delving into your glistening cunt. She gave your clit a quick kiss before flattening her tongue against you.You mewled at the sensation of her thick, long tongue brushing against your aching clit. She had barely even touched you and you already felt a familiar feeling building in your stomach. Your body was something she knew eerily well, she knew all the spots that made you tick, the pressure that made you see stars, and just the way to swirl her tongue to make you clench those beautiful thighs around her head.
“Fuck baby, you taste so good, my sweetheart.”
She lapped at your cunt like she was drunk on the taste of you. Her tongue slipped into you, deep. Reaching places only she could. Your thighs clamped down around her head, and that’s exactly where she wanted to be, buried between the soft flesh.
She was relentless when you came with a long string of filthy moans of her name. It just spurred her on even more until you were twitching under her, feeling overstimulated. When she came up for air, she licked her lips which were slick with your release. Her eyes met your own as she wiped her mouth before leaning to kiss down your thighs once more. Her tongue ghosted over your sensitive flesh before she moved away to let you recover for a moment.
Your body laid limp on the bed as Sevika rubbed small circles on your waist to bring you back to earth. “Can you give me another, princess?” Her flesh hand found its way to your face again, her thumb slipping past your lips. You nodded your head slowly, your hazy eyes finding hers.
“Words baby.” She reminded you.
“Yes, Sevi. I can take it.” Your voice was muffled slightly by her digit, but it was clear you wanted whatever she’d give you.
She slipped off the bed to retrieve her strap, slipping into the black harness that made your mouth water. The bed dipped under her weight as she climbed onto the bed once more, returning to her rightful place between your legs again. If Sevika was one thing in bed, it was appreciative. She took in your beautiful form inch by inch, her eyes scanning your body like it was a piece of art. Her demeanor was rough and mean with everyone and if you were honest, it turned you on completely. But she wasn’t like that with you, she treated you with care as if you were made of porcelain. Her touches were tender, making your comfort her highest regard. You truly were her princess
The tip of her silicone length rested against your soaked pussy, and you knew she wasn’t trying to tease, but you just wished she’d move. You bucked your hips with what energy you had left to receive a bit of friction, and all Sevika could do was chuckle at how needy you were. She took your movements as a sign to guide the dark purple length into you. Calloused hands guided your plush thighs to wrap around her waist gently. You squeezed your thighs around her as she disappeared into you little by little.
Her eyes trailed down to where you two were connected before trailing back up to look into your hazy eyes. Your lashes were lined with crystalline tears, collecting like little dewdrops on your lashes.
“You’re taking me so good, sweetheart.” Sevika rasped, leaning down to kiss away your tears. “D’ya think you can handle me moving?”
A lewd whimper left your lips, and you didn’t quite trust your voice to not crack when you spoke. The best you could muster out was a little, “Please.”
God, you sounded so blissed out, it was taking every bone in the older woman’s body to not fuck you silly into the mattress. She started with slow and controlled rolls of her hips into your cunt. You wrapped your arms around her broad back, pulling her flush against you. You couldn’t help but press soft kisses onto the little bruises you created on her from earlier. She sucked in a breath as you kissed a particularly sore spot. You let your teeth graze her neck, nipping at her ever so slightly.
Her hips stuttered initially as you bit her, but she picked up her movement, moving faster than before. Soft grunts were amplified in your ears and it was almost all you could focus on. If it weren’t for the thick toy being stuffed into you, you would have said something about the noises she was making. Her huffs vibrated against your ear lobe and on a particularly deep thrust she moaned like she could feel your cunt clenching around the toy.
“Baby you’re squeezing me so hard, so perfect.” She just couldn’t keep her hands to herself either. One hand rested on your waist and the other trailed down your stomach to your clit. She rubbed slow circles on your already sensitive clit and you couldn’t take it. The feeling of her quick, deep thrusts along with the additional stimulation was sending you reeling.
You were just putty in her hands, babbling nonsense that resembled her name and various curse words. You couldn’t even hold your head up anymore, instead letting it hit the soft pillows beneath you. Sevika took the chance to kiss up your neck slowly, paying attention to every bit of exposed skin she could get to. By now her lipstick was already rubbed off, but you could still feel every mark she left on you. You wouldn’t trade the feeling for the world.
“Fuck!” You squealed out as she snapped her hips into you at an even more brutal pace. “‘M so close Sevi!” You could barely form a full sentence the way she was ruining you. Without warning your body stiffened and you were cumming. She didn’t slow down though, she kept her pace up as you twitched around her thick length. She pushed herself up from where she was trailing kisses all over your neck to see the rest of you. Your lips were plump and parted, lewd whimpers falling from them like that’s all you knew how to do. Your hair was messy, neck filled with bruises to match her own, and your chest was full of lipstick marks. You were completely hers, and you had the marks to prove it too.
Her eyes trailed down to where you were taking her so well, “Look at how it disappears baby, you were made for me.” Her words were filthy, and her eyes were full of lust as she saw the creamy white ring forming around the base of the toy.
Your brows furrowed as you began to feel overstimulated once more, and Sevika being the attentive woman she was, took it as a sign to slow down. Eventually she slid out of you, and you sighed at the empty feeling. Your eyes fluttered shut as you tried to catch your breath. Sevika pressed soft little kisses to both of your cheeks, your forehead, your nose, and finally a quick one to your lips, not wanting to tire you out anymore than you already were. “You did so good for me, princess.” She whispered into your ear as she brought her flesh hand to cup your face.
“Gonna clean you up now, is that okay?”
You nodded slowly, your eyes still shut as she untangled herself from between your thighs to clean herself up and retrieve a washcloth for you. When she returned she was in a fresh pair of pajamas and her hair was down. You opened your eyes to take in the sight when you heard her footsteps again. “So cute.” You whispered with a giggle. To everyone in Zaun she was a scary lady, but to you she was your sweet girlfriend who wore big t-shirts and fuzzy pajama bottoms to bed. She just shook her head with a soft smile and settled onto the edge of the bed near your legs. You spread your legs for her and she wiped the inside of your thighs and your sensitive folds. A sigh slipped past your lips and she planted a kiss on your lips as she cleaned every last bit of you. “All clean…” She tossed the washcloth somewhere in the room, she’d put it in the wash tomorrow.
It wasn’t that Sevika wanted to see you in her clothes… of course not! She just wanted you to be warm, that’s all. That’s what she told herself as she slipped one of her sleep shirts over your head. Her heart melted when you poked your head out of the opening of the shirt and met her eyes. She couldn’t resist giving you another kiss. You smiled against her lips before she pulled back to slip a pair of your panties up your thighs and up onto your hips.
The moment you were clothed you dove under the covers, waving a lazy hand to make Sevika join you. Once she did you clung to her tightly, tucking your head under her chin to rest on her chest. Her warm body heated you up, and your eyes fluttered shut. “You sleepy, baby?” Sevika asked even though she already knew the answer.
You hummed a noncommittal noise, just opting to burrow closer to Sevika if that was even possible.
“I tired you out today huh…”
When she got no response from you she kissed the top of your head and let her eyes shut slowly too. Sleep came easy to her when she had her princess wrapped up in arms.

overtime - nanami kento
summary: nanami knows you're right when you're scolding him for overworking again
warning: nanami overworking himself, light scolding, domestic life, cuddling, fluff, mention of reader being female
Tumblr media
the house is quiet except for the clock ticking in the hallway. you notice the soft glow of light from nanami's home office as you pass by, and instinctively, you stop. a sigh escapes your lips as you gently push the door open, already knowing what you’ll find.
nanami hunches over his desk, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, tie discarded, and a pair of reading glasses perched on the bridge of his nose. papers and notebooks are strewn across the desk, chaos that only makes sense to him. he’s so focused he doesn’t even notice you enter, his pen dragging slowly over the page, jaw set in determination to get all his work done tonight.
it's almost a habit at this point—nanami pushing himself too far, you reeling him back in. the man is nothing if not stubborn when it comes to work, but you know him better than anyone. you can tell by the way his movements slow, his shoulders tense, and how he rubs at his temple, that he's been at this too long.
“honey”. your voice is soft, but it’s enough to make him pause.
nanami stills before he looks up at you, eyes tired but attentive. he blinks slowly, taking in the sight of you in the doorway—your arms crossed, an unimpressed expression on your face.
“you’re still up?” he asks softly, his voice deep and low, almost apologetic. he says it like he shouldn’t be in bed himself. but here you are, catching him in the act of overworking again. he thought you’d be asleep by now and he could sneak in just one more hour without you noticing.
“you’re still working?” you counter, stepping further into the room. “how many times have i told you not to overdo it? it’s late”. nanami glances at the clock on the wall, now realizing the hour. the glow of the desk lamp illuminates his face, casting shadows beneath his eyes that show he’s had too many nights like this lately.
“i just have a bit more to finish—” he tries to reason. but you’re not having it.
you hold up a hand, stopping him mid-sentence, and raise a single eyebrow. it stops him cold. he knows that look. it’s the same one you use wherever he insists on skipping meals and ignoring his need for sleep. it works like a charm every time. for all his strength, his logic, his stubbornness—he’s defenseless against that look.
he exhales slowly, his posture deflating. “i’m fine, really—” he weakly argues.
“kento”. you leave no room for protest. he sits there for a moment, caught between his pride and your insistence, before finally letting out a defeated sigh.
“yes, ma’am” he mutters. there’s a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, betraying how much he appreciates your gentle care, even if it’s hard to   admit.
you hum in approval. nanami doesn’t flinch when approaching him and you rest your hands on his shoulders. gently, you press your thumbs into the stiff muscles beneath the fabric of his shirt, feeling the immense tension he holds.
for a moment, you rub his shoulders, trying to work out the knots. his body is rigid at first, as if he’s forgotten how to relax entirely. but with each slow movement of your hands, you feel his posture soften bit by bit.
“i didn’t mean to worry you” he says apologetically.
“i know, honey” you reply sweetly.
nanami leans into your touch a little more. the tension in his shoulders doesn’t vanish completely, but it ebbs away slowly. you knead a particularly stubborn knot near the base of his neck, and he lets out a quiet, involuntary groan.
“you need to rest, kento” you say softly, your voice full of affection. “come to bed” you softly squeeze his skin before sliding your hand down to take his. his hand feels calloused, and a little too stiff from holding his pen for so long.
he’s still reluctant to leave the desk— eyes flickering back to the mess of unfinished work—but when he looks down at you, he knows better than to argue again.
you lead him out of the office, flicking off the lamp on your way out, and he follows silently, his larger hand still holding yours. in the dim light of the hallway, he looks softer, the hard edges of his usual composure dulled by exhaustion and your persistence.
as you walk together, the exhaustion seems to weigh on him all at once. his steps slow, the tension gradually melts away, and by the time you reach the bedroom, his mouth twitches into something close to a real smile this time.
kento sits on the edge of the bed as you unbutton his dress shirt for him. he starts to protest, but one sharp glance from you has him biting his words back. “let me take care of you” you say, your voice firm but kind.
you push the fabric past his shoulders. as he shrugs it off, looks up at you with warmth in his tired eyes. “you don’t have to fuss over me, you know” he says.
you smile, brushing a hand through his hair, smoothing it back gently. “who else is going to make sure you don’t work yourself into an early grave?” you tease.
nanami lets out a quiet hum, his hand reaching out to pull you closer. his arm wraps securely around your waist as he buries his forehead against your stomach, his tension melting away as soon as he feels you.
you don’t resist, your fingers moving to stroke through his hair, nails lightly scratching at the soft undercut at the nape of his neck. he sinks further into you, his breathing steadying as he melts into you.
“you’re too good to me” he mumbles, his voice muffled against the fabric of your shirt.
you smile softly, your fingers brushing the stray strands of his hair. “i’m your wife. i’m just doing my job”.
he lets out a soft, tired laugh but it fades quickly as the weight of the day pulls at him again. nanami doesn’t fight you when you encourage him to lay down, shifting to settle under the covers. you follow suit, sliding in beside him, ready for both of you to get some rest.
nanami curls into you, resting his head against your chest  his arms instinctively wrap around you, needing to be close to you and feel the rise and fall of your chest beneath his cheek. finally, you can feel nanami fully relax
“thank you” he murmurs into the dark, already feeling the effects of your efforts. nanami’s chest rises and falls in a deep exhale, his hand stroking absentmindedly along your back as he lets himself close his eyes.
with the warmth of you beside him and the sound of your breathing syncing with his, it’s enough to ease him into the peaceful sleep he’s been fighting all week.
you hold him close throughout the night, happy to take care of him, knowing he would do the same for you a thousand times over.

cooking for lottie (because she definitely cant) and she walks up behind you, gets on her knees and starts eating you out…. *insert freaky sonic gif*
Tumblr media
new domestic wife lottie thought for you!! every now and then, i will lock in for my fellow lottie lovers and drop multiple lottie pieces after almost exclusively writing for shauna, jackie & rhiannon 😭 nsfw content, mdni.
Tumblr media
domestic (wife!!) lawtie :(((
you’re barefoot in the kitchen, humming to yourself as you dice vegetables for breakfast, the dull thunk of the knife hitting the cutting board keeping time with the sizzle of butter in the pan. behind you, lottie watches from the doorway, wrapped in a robe. her hair is still messy from sleep, one hand idly toying with the hem as she leans her shoulder against the frame.
“you always look so serious when you’re cooking,” she murmurs teasingly, finally making her presence known.
you laugh under your breath, focused on guiding the knife while simultaneously keeping an eye on the pan. “well, making breakfast in this kitchen takes some focus. our stove is old as hell, lot!”
you don’t hear her cross the floor, she’s always quiet like that, only feel her sudden warmth press against your back. lottie’s chin drops to your shoulder, nose brushing your neck.
“i keep telling you we can afford getting it replaced…” she sing-songs, warm breath curling around your ear as her fingers start to play with the baby hairs at your nape. “you’re warm…and you smell good.”
you tilt your head toward her, smile over your shoulder. “you’re weird”
“i know.”
then she sinks to her knees.
you don’t register it at first. there’s only the soft shift of weight behind you, the rustle of fabric and sensation of her skin brushing against your calves. it doesn’t click until her hands slide under your shirt, palms smoothing over your stomach as her mouth presses a kiss to the small of your back.
“lottie…?”
“shh,” she murmurs, nuzzling lower. “just keep doing what you’re doing”
the first few kisses she peppers across the back of your thigh are gentle. then her teeth graze you and one of her hands slips forward, under the waistband of your sleep shorts.
“lottie.”
another hum, her hands already sliding down your shorts and underwear. you shiver as they pool at your ankles, the cool morning air hitting your thighs.
“you’re always taking care of me,” lottie muses, pressing her cheek to your hip as she maneuvers you to face her way. “feeding me…loving me…” her breath is hot against you and she spreads you with both hands. “now i want to take care of you.”
your hips jerk instinctively the moment lottie puts her mouth on you, almost knocking into the stove. her lips part, her tongue sliding between your folds as though to memorize the shape of you. lottie stays on her knees, still fully clothed, still composed, while you’re bare and unraveling under her touch.
“i- lottie-” you try. your voice comes out thin.
in response, lottie only holds you tighter, pulling you against her mouth with both hands.
she has always looked at you like you were more than you believed yourself to be. now, her mouth is proving it all over again: there’s something desperate in the way she licks into you, like she’s starving, and you’re the first real thing she’s been given in weeks. lottie doesn’t rush, yet never stops. minutes pass with your legs trembling and her tongue lapping up your wetness, refusing to waste a single drop.
when her lips finally seal around your clit and suck, your entire body jolts. a cry punches out of your chest, one of your hands slips, and you brace yourself against the oven handle with a whimper.
“i’ve got you,” lottie whispers, without her mouth ever leaving you. she flicks her tongue against you again, circling, then presses in deeper. “just let go.”
you glance down, fingers tangled in her hair, and catch her eyes: lottie is looking up at you with her pupils blown wide, mouth swollen and slick, her hands clutching your thighs. “please,” she whines. “give it to me”
you don’t even know if she means your orgasm or your everything. either way, she gets it.
it rips through you suddenly, your knees buckling, thighs clenching around her head. you cry out as you fall apart, and lottie groans against your cunt, licking through every wave.
it takes minutes before you’re able to register anything again. your head is fuzzy. your legs ache. your body’s pulsing still from the aftershocks. lottie doesn’t stand. instead she guides you down with her, arms around your waist as she lowers you both gently to the floor. immediately, you collapse into her lap, boneless, back to her chest.
you can smell the eggs, surely burnt by now, and still don’t move to fix it.
lottie wraps her arms tighter around your middle, face buried in the crook of your neck until your eyes blink open.
“there you are,”

the thought of jj just finding his sister sitting by herself in the car at the country club or by a fast food place and eating by herself breaks his heart. he knows that she definitely picked the cheapest thing on the menu and definitely searched her car and the couch for the spare change
Tumblr media
oh my god this is so cruel and realistic...
I'm imagining the Pogues had all just piled out of the twinkie and JJ is barely hearing John B’s voice beside him as they step into the burger joint, the scent of sizzling grease hanging in the air and sticking to the floor. However his attention is fully focused elsewhere.
Her car.
It’s parked near the back of the parking lot, tucked away like she didn’t necessarily want to be seen, but JJ sees everything- c'mon now this is JJ we're talking about- besides he could spot her car from a mile away. And through the windshield, he can make out her silhouette, her feet pulled up onto the seat, knees tucked to her chest, a sad-looking cheeseburger cradled in one hand and a half-empty bottle of water in the other, the sight would simply make his stomach twist.
“So, you wanted the triple cheese with fries and onion rings, right?”
John B’s voice would be casual, totally distracted as he looks at the menu through the window, but JJ isn’t even facing him any more to be honest. His eyes are locked at Y/N, watching as she takes slow, deliberate bites like she’s trying to make the crappy burger last and his jaw clenches ever so slightly.
“Uh, yeah...”
He mutters back in resposne, tearing his gaze away from his sister. He steps inside with the rest of the Pogues, letting the door swing shut behind him, but the guilt follows him in. He slides up next to Pope and Kie at the counter, hands jammed into the pockets of his shorts as they start rattling off their order, everyone knowing exactly what they want no questions asked. JJ would stare blankly at the glowing menu board above the register, the prices blurring together until his eyes catch on one.
$3.45.
The cheapest thing on the menu.
There and then his heart would break because he knows. He fucking knows. She definitely picked that burger on purpose, definitely searched her car, dug through the couch cushions at home, maybe even fished out coins from the bottom of one of her bags just to scrape together enough for a single meal. And before he can think too hard about it, he speaks up his voice firm,
“Hey man, can I also get a large vanilla milkshake with that?”
The cashier would nod, fingers clicking against the screen as he punches in the extra item. I totally imagine John B glancing over from where he’s standing with Sarah and Cleo, brows furrowing.
“Dude, you don’t even like vanilla milkshakes.”
JJ barely even looks at him as he shoots back a, “Boy- shut up.”
John B then holds up his hands in surrender, muttering something under his breath, but JJ’s already tuning him out as he watches Kiara pay for all of them, sliding the bills across the counter without hesitation.
Now, as they wait for the food, the Pogues are joking around, voices overlapping in familiar chaos, but JJ isn’t even listening because he’s staring out the window instead, gaze locked on her car. She’d be finishing up now- taking her last bite, wiping her hands clean with a crumpled napkin before shoving it into the greasy brown bag her food came in.
“Vanilla milkshake?”
The cashier calls out and JJ snaps out of it, turning to grab the cup and he mutters a quick “thanks” before heading straight for the door, the bell above chiming as he steps out. Pope’s voice would call after him, but he doesn’t answer,
“JJ, where are you going—?”
His feet carry him across the parking lot, past the rows of parked cars, until he’s standing in front of hers. She still doesn’t notice him though, too focused on whatever is on her phone screen. He lifts a hand and taps on the window and her head snaps up, and when she sees him, a smile spreads across her face as she reaches for the door handle. “Hey Jay,” she greets, voice warm as she swings the door open.
“What’re you doing here?”
JJ would definitely hesitate for like half a second because what is he going to say? "Oh yeah I just saw you eating what looks like a depression meal through the window and I felt bad cause I'm about to eat half the food on the menu." So before he can say anything he's holding out the milkshake,
“I got you this.”
She glances down at the drink, her favorite sweet vanilla milkshake, the type she would buy for her and JJ so she could drink it and he would dip his fries in it. And a soft expression flickers across her face. One he doesn’t often see. “Aww thanks,” she'd murmur, taking it from him. She lifts it slightly, giving him a curious look.
“What’s the occasion?”
He exhales, shifting on his feet. There’s no occasion. Just a brother watching his sister scrape together change for a meal she barely had the money for- but then again he can’t say that either, so instead he shrugs.
“No occasion. Just ’cause I love you.”
She looks up at him then, eyes searching his, and in that silent moment between them,
They both know the truth.

You (MC) unintentionally surprise the guys by wearing an article of clothing that belongs to them (for the first time).
Part 1: The Rafayel, Zayne, and Sylus Edition!

Rafayel
“There you go, nice and warm. Wow,” he had said, his voice a near whisper, his mesmerizing gaze focused on you so completely, “That color is beautiful on you, you know? Your eyes are glowing.”
You had thought that comment was ridiculous. Your eyes were glowing, when his were the ones worth talking about? Worth writing entire poems about if you were more eloquent.
You had blushed and changed the subject, his gaze lingering on you a little longer before accepting the conversation change and enjoying the rest of your walk together.
That conversation was a few weeks ago, before he left for Verona to visit his Aunt Talia and attend an old friend’s 20th wedding anniversary.
Now as you walk out of the Association building, cheeks warm from the memory, you bury yourself in the scarf, deep within the warm fabric.
As if knowing you’re thinking about him, your phone buzzes.
*See you in 30 minutes, cutieeee. You’re not annoyed by my texts are you? Is that why you’re sending Thomas to pick me up instead of showing up yourself?*
Rolling your eyes, you’re still smiling when you respond.
*You know I’ve been working late since you left. My schedule will go back to normal tomorrow, now that you’re back :)*
The string of emojis he sends back is ludicrous, but it gets his message across.
Just 28 minutes to go!
˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆
When the familiar, sleek black Ferrari pulls up to the curb next to you, you try to imagine how this reunion is going to play out. Maybe you should have brought flowers? Rafayel is an avid enjoyer of beauty in all its forms and would probably love a bouquet. But that sorta makes you feel like one of his many fans. Maybe a single flower would have been better?
At any rate, you haven’t brought anything but yourself. He wouldn’t be expecting anything more than that, right?
Your thoughts are interrupted, however, when your boyfriend leans fully out of the rolled-down window.
“My scarf!” he points an accusing finger.
A few passing pedestrians glance over to get a look at the scarf thief and you turn away, hiding your face.
“I’ve been looking all over for it!” he continues, “I tore up the room I was staying in, thinking I’d misplaced it. Then when I couldn’t find it, I thought that maybe some sneaky little squid stole it right off my neck with their freaky little tentacles.”
Folding your arms across your chest, you decide you’re going to be just as dramatic right back at him, “Seriously? You let me borrow this scarf, Rafayel! You said the color looked beautiful on me, or did you already forget?”
His jaw drops and he opens the car door, rushing out without closing it behind him.
“Of course I didn’t forget! You were so beautiful that night, I thought I’d dreamed it. The same as right now, too,” he says, tentatively reaching toward you, as your arms are still folded defiantly across your chest, “I freaked out when I saw the scarf because it was from Talia and she lectured me the entire time I was in Verona about how I don’t take care of gifts. If I had remembered I’d left it in my cutie’s hands, I would have had a good excuse.”
Squinting at him, your arms fall and he smiles gently, lowering his eyes to yours, “I could get used to this, you know? Coming home to find you wearing my stuff. Next time, I’ll accidentally lend you something bigger. I have cashmere cardigans that are so soft, it feels like you’re drifting in sea foam.”

Zayne
Waking up late, you curse quietly to yourself when you find a text from Zayne asking you to bring his laptop to the hospital if you have the time, otherwise he’ll come pick it up at lunch. Apparently a lot of the hospital’s computers are still down due to the Wanderer attack that you had been part of getting under control last night. The aftershock of the attack had caused strange outages several blocks out from the point of attack, so you aren’t super surprised to hear the hospital was also affected.
Not wanting Zayne to give up his precious time, you quickly shoot him a text that you’re on your way while hurriedly getting ready. In a rush, you shrug into one of his button-ups and messily tie your hair up, glancing in the mirror for no more than a second before scooping his laptop up and rushing out the door.
When you arrive at Akso Hospital saying you’re there to drop something off for Dr. Zayne, everyone’s moods seem to shift. You hadn’t expected such cheerful attitudes, considering the situation with the computers, but you don’t think anything of it until you bump into Dr. Greyson. At first, he greets you with his usual big smile and wave. But when his eyes widen and his cheeks flush a soft pink, you’re more than a little intrigued now.
“Whoa…” he says, looking down at his tablet, “I mean, hey. Are you looking for Zayne? I heard he just finished with a patient, so he should be in his office now.”
You thank him warily, directing yourself to Zayne’s office. A little flustered by everyone’s attention this morning, you’re more than relieved when you enter his office and he looks up at you, smiling faintly…
Only to be hit with a new wave of crippling embarrassment when your own boyfriend double-takes at you, his ears turning a faint, nearly imperceptible shade of pink.
“Did I wake you?” he frowns, “You should have stayed in bed and rested. You worked hard last night.”
“No, I’m great! I was awake ages ago, I just left my phone in the other room and didn’t see your message until later.”
Shifting awkwardly under the weight of his stare, a moment passes before a slightly more mischievous smile graces his lips. Walking around his desk, he sits at the edge of it with his arms crossed as he looks at you, “I would believe you, but in that case, I would also have to believe you intended to make such a bold statement. Why else would you purposefully choose to wear the only one of my shirts with your lipstick stains on it?”
He gestures to the collar.
Looking down, you notice the deep red marks along the collar of the otherwise stark white shirt, most of them smudged, some very clearly the defined shape of a pair of rouged lips.
Your face and neck burn with heat when you finally realize why people looked so amused and alarmed when you’d come in.
“I…I just grabbed one and ran. But, Zayne, the date that this happened was last week… why was this even hanging in your closet in the first place?”
Although the pink color still lightly dusts his ears, he speaks nonchalantly, “ I meant to take it to the dry cleaners, but I couldn’t bring myself to have the marks removed yet. Besides, I have plenty of other shirts that aren’t stained. The chances of you grabbing that one were… small.”
“Not small enough,” you groan, walking toward him and dropping your face into his chest, “Everyone in the lobby was giggling.”
He puts his arms around you and chuckles, “Well… I’m sure this has satisfied some people’s curiosity about our relationship. Perhaps they will finally stop prying for details.”
˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆˚ ⋆・˳ . ⋆   .˳⁺⁎˚ ⋆
Sylus
“Something’s wrong with Miss Hunter, Boss.”
“Death may be inevitable.”
Rolling over and squishing your face into the pillow, you try to block out the sounds of him and the terror twins outside your door.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” you hear Sylus scold in what could be called a reassuring voice, though you’re almost certain you heard a hint of uncertainty. Despite your bad mood, you can’t help but snicker a little.
Rolling out of bed, you give up on trying to relax, plodding into the bathroom and shutting the door behind you.
“Sweetie?”
Sylus’s voice is practically as soft as a dove’s coo as he walks into your bedroom, having shooed the twins away. You sit on the toilet lid, pulling your knees into your chest. There is silence for a heartbeat before he comes to the bathroom door, “I just got home and heard you aren’t feeling well. Are you alright? Do you need anything?”
You sigh, returning to your feet, going to the door, swinging it open, and glaring up at him. He looks stunned, concerned, and still so soft as he looks down at you and you feel yourself soften up almost immediately.
“I’m fine, Sy. I’m just… having a bad day. And it might just be like…” you mumble something under your breath and he raises an inquiring eyebrow.
“What was that?” he inquires.
“I said it might just be, like… hormones or something. I don’t know,” you shrug, then groan, leaning in and burying your face against his chest, “I’ll apologize for snapping at Luke and Kieran later. Right now I just wanna be alone. You can stay, but you have to be quiet.”
“I won’t make a sound,” he pledges.
Begrudgingly, you let him follow you to the bed where you start to get comfy, only to notice him standing to the side, watching you curiously. He doesn’t say anything, staying true to his word, but you finally huff in slight annoyance when he continues to linger in the same spot longer than you expected.
“Why are you staring at me?”
“You’re wearing my sweater, sweetie.”
Having forgotten stomping into his room and snatching one off its hanger before hissing at the twins and stomping into your room, you awkwardly look down at the blankets.
“You weren’t here.”
He continues to look at you like that isn’t an answer and you sigh dramatically, continuing, “And I missed you, alright. I haven’t seen you in, like, four days because of your business trip. And you always tell me to ‘take what’s mine’ and all that, so I went in and took your sweater. And now it’s mine.”
Flopping back on the bed, you glower at him until he sits beside you.
“You’re right, I do say that,” he agrees with a nod. He pauses and you tilt your head back to look up at him. His normally sharp eyes are impossibly soft when he looks down at you, his smug smile also a slightly softened version. “It’s just that this was a pleasant surprise to come home to. You’re here looking for comfort, practically drowning in my sweater. You even smell like me. It’s almost like I never left at all.”
Snorting, you curl yourself closer to him and pout into his neck, “Well I’m glad you’re happy. Me, on the other hand? I’ve been miserable the entire time you’ve been gone.”
He chuckles, a low, deep rumble in his chest, which your cheek is pressed against. The sound and sensation warm you up, inside and out, “I apologize. Making you miserable was never my intention.”
You ignore him, curling into him even closer. The sweater means nothing now that you have the comfort of the real thing.

When Simon sees you at the gym, he stares. More than usual, more than what would be considered polite. He stops what he's doing, forgets his routine -- he's focused, locked in entirely on your form as you start up a treadmill.
It's not because you're pretty, although you are. It's not even because, with little glances you seem to think are subtle, you're staring back.
It's because he knows you from somewhere. He's positive he does. He just can't place you.
And it's driving him absolutely mad.
He racks his brain as he stands near the weights, doing nothing but eyeballing you. If you were army too, he thinks he'd know, so that wouldn't be it. A neighbor, maybe? No, there's the old lady across the hall and that's about it as far as his interactions go there.
Maybe you work at the grocery store. Or the petrol station. Maybe you look like some actress.
He keeps coming up with ideas of how he might recognize you, but none of them fit. It's had to have been five solid minutes at this point of him standing still, just staring like a weirdo, and there are a couple of ladies by the front desk that seem to be growing concerned. Simon glances between them and back to you, trying to pull himself away, but he needs to figure this out, he thinks, or it'll bother him for far longer than it should.
Thankfully, you nip the issue in the bud when you stop the treadmill and walk over to him.
"Can I help you with something?" you ask, eyebrow cocked.
And all of a sudden, it's the summer sun and playground dirt, a metal slide so hot it burns, and he's still him, but small and scared, cowered beneath it.
It clicks. He knows exactly who you are.
You -- the current version of you -- take a step closer, cautious but concerned, as you ask, "Seriously, what is this?"
But all he can think about is a little girl who showed him a rare bit of kindness one day at the park.
You don't recognize him, he's almost sure of it. Still, you inch a little bit closer, waiting for a response.
He doesn't give you one.
Without a word, Simon leaves the conversation. He leaves the gym entirely, out the door and into his truck while he struggles to process it.
It's been years, decades since he last saw you. And it was just one day. One single day out of thousands, and he shouldn't remember you, but he does, in startling clarity, like he's looking at a photograph instead of through his memories. You touched something inside him that day, and he swears he can feel it, even now.
He just has no idea what to do about it.
[...]
Back in the gym, you watch the man leave without a word, like he didn't owe you an explanation for staring slack-jawed at you for so long. Your eyes stay trained on his body -- not like you're making sure he's leaving, but like you're trying to figure it out.
It was a bizarre encounter, and you're not sure what to make of it, so when you see the man step into a truck and close the door behind him, you let out a sigh and go to the locker room and pull out your phone.
"There's some weird guy at the gym," you text your husband.
A moment passes, and he responds with "Some creep bothering you?"
You're not sure why, but you feel a strange protective impulse when he calls the man a "creep." He was a little strange, sure, you said as much, but there was something in his eyes when you approached him ... he didn't seem dangerous. The label didn't seem fair.
Instead of responding, you put your phone away again and start to get your things together, content to cut your session short for the day.
Tomorrow, you tell yourself. You'll come back to the gym tomorrow -- you just moved to this new town, you can get in this routine.
Everything will be fine.
[...]
Simon was never small, but he wasn't always strong. He was born a gentle boy and molded into something else, and so his earliest memories are some of the hardest ones to remember. Glimpses of when he wasn't quite able to defend himself, and when that innate, shameful need to be loved and cared for still made itself known from time to time.
There was one day, he was five or six, when he just couldn't handle being at home anymore. It felt suffocating, being inside, in a way that had nothing to do with the heat, so he slipped away and went to the neighborhood park.
He liked the swings, but they were all taken. Some toddlers were in the sandbox, more kids by the slides, and everywhere he looked there were smiles. There were mothers and fathers and happy families and he was alone, and it hurt. But not enough to leave.
Instead, he tucked himself behind one of the slides, taking a seat in the dirt.
Time passed, but the feeling of being suffocated didn't. He held his hand to the underside of the slide, feeling the metal, still hot even in the shade, but it didn't ground him. There was a pressure situated firmly in his chest that he didn't understand, and it wasn't letting up.
"Need some help?"
He wasn't expecting anyone to notice him in his spot, but when he looked for the source of the voice, he saw a little girl, about his age, smiling at him. She had her hands on her knees, bent to see him better. Simon shook his head, but instead of leaving, the girl sat down next to him.
"What are you playing?" she asked. "Can I play too?"
Even at that age, talking to another person felt like a chore for Simon, but she asked so easily, like all she had to do to be his friend was be there. He still didn't say anything, but she didn't seem to mind.
He sat in silence with the girl for several minutes, watching as she drew shapes in the dirt then swept them away with her hand, until finally he started talking. He told her about his parents and why he was at the park alone, and he told her about the creek that runs behind his house and how sometimes he can find neat rocks in the water. He told her to be careful for the slide, because it gets too hot in the sun.
And she listened, to everything. She told him things too, about her family and her house, and it was easy, for once. Before he knew it, the weight on his chest lifted enough to that he could breathe.
Just as soon as it began, it was over. Someone called the girl's name, and she scrambled up, shouting a quick "See you later!" as she left. But he didn't see her later -- he never saw her again.
Until now.
Simon is sure you're that girl. He doesn't know how he knows or why he's so certain, but he feels it. And now, all these years later, he finally has seen you again.
He's thought about it since the moment you caught his eye at the gym, ran the old memories through his head over and over. Part of him is embarrassed for remembering it all so well and for that one afternoon to have meant so much to him, especially when he's sure you forgot it as soon as it was over.
But a bigger part of him wants to make sure that he doesn't lose you again.

SUMMARY ৎ୭ after the marauders stand you up, you decide to give them the cold shoulder, making sure they know just how much they hurt you. but when you finally confront remus, everything you thought you knew about him—and about why they kept secrets—changes in an instant

The days that followed the disastrous date at Madam Puddifoot’s were heavy with tension. You had made a decision. You would avoid the boys—every single one of them—and show them how much they’d hurt you. And for the most part, you succeeded.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ౨ৎㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
In Potions, you were paired with James, as always. Normally, the two of you worked like a well-oiled machine, joking and laughing as you completed the lesson with ease. But today, you kept your responses clipped and cold, answering only the necessary study-related questions.
"Hand me the crushed fluxweed?" James asked hesitantly, his voice low as he glanced over at you.
You handed him the jar without a word, not even bothering to look at him.
James frowned, his usual exuberance fading. “Did you… finish the notes for the essay?”
“Yes,” you replied curtly, your tone devoid of any warmth.
He waited for you to elaborate, maybe even make a joke, but you didn’t. The disappointment on his face was painfully clear, and you could feel his gaze on you, trying to find a way to break the ice. But you didn’t give him a chance. You weren’t ready. Not yet.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ౨ৎㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
The library was usually your refuge, a place where you could escape the chaos of the castle and study in peace. But today, it wasn’t the peaceful haven you needed. Sirius found you, of course he did. He always had a way of knowing where you were.
He slid into the chair across from you, his signature smirk in place, but there was an underlying nervousness in his eyes.
“Hey, sweetheart,” he began, leaning forward slightly. “Fancy running into you here. Been thinking—”
You didn’t look up from your textbook, flipping a page without so much as acknowledging his presence.
Sirius faltered, but tried again. “We really should talk, y’know. I mean, I know we messed up, but maybe we can—”
Silence.
You didn’t even glance at him. Not a word.
He let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. “Okay, I get it. You’re mad. But ignoring me isn’t gonna make it better, love.”
Still, you remained focused on the words in front of you, pretending to be engrossed in the chapter on advanced defensive spells. You could feel him staring at you, waiting, but you refused to give in. Eventually, Sirius stood up, his defeated sigh echoing in the quiet library as he walked away.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ౨ৎㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Transfiguration class was no different. You and Peter were assigned partners, as you often were, but this time the usual banter between the two of you was replaced with awkward silence. Peter kept glancing at you, his brow furrowed in confusion as he tried to catch your eye.
“So, uh… we should probably start with the incantation?” Peter said cautiously, his voice soft.
You nodded, but didn’t say anything more.
He fumbled with his wand, casting a glance your way. “I-I know we need to talk, about… y’know, the other night and all that, but—”
“No,” you said simply, your voice quiet but firm, eyes trained on the desk in front of you.
Peter swallowed hard, clearly unsure of how to handle the situation. You saw him look down, his expression crestfallen, but you forced yourself to stay quiet. Each word spoken to them felt like a crack in the walls you were trying to build around your heart. So, for now, silence was the only way to protect yourself.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ౨ৎㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
But then there was Remus. The one who hadn’t tried at all. The one who didn’t come looking for you, didn’t send you a note, didn’t even attempt to talk to you. And that hurt more than anything else.
The silence from him was deafening.
It was days later, sitting in the library, when you saw him. Remus was hunched over a pile of books, looking pale and exhausted, a fresh bandage peeking out from beneath his sleeve. His eyes were hollow, dark circles marring his handsome face, and your heart clenched at the sight. He looked worse than usual. Like something had broken inside him.
Before you even realized what you were doing, your feet carried you across the room toward him.
“Remus,” you said, your voice cutting through the stillness of the library like a knife.
Remus flinched at the sound of your voice, his head snapping up in shock. His eyes widened as he saw you standing there, but he didn’t speak, too stunned by your sudden appearance.
You didn’t waste time with pleasantries. “Are you a werewolf?”
The color drained from his face, and he froze, his mouth opening and closing as if the words had been ripped from him. He stammered, his eyes wide with panic. “I-I… I—”
“Don’t lie to me, Remus,” you said, your voice trembling with emotion. “I’m not stupid. I’ve seen the scars, the excuses, the way the boys cover for you. I’ve been putting it together for a while, but I—” You swallowed, your throat tight. “I wanted to hear it from you.”
Remus looked like a deer caught in headlights, his hands shaking slightly. “I didn’t… I didn’t want you to know. I didn’t want you to—”
“Why?” you interrupted, your voice breaking. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t any of you tell me? Do you think I wouldn’t have cared? Do you think I wouldn’t have loved you still?”
His face twisted in anguish, and he looked away, unable to meet your eyes. “Because you wouldn’t have understood. No one ever understands.”
“That’s not for you to decide, Remus!” you snapped, your voice filled with hurt. “I deserved to know the truth. I thought we were in this together. I thought we were… I thought you trusted me.”
He looked up then, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. “I do trust you,” he whispered, his voice cracking. “But… I’m a monster, Y/N. I didn’t want you to see me like that. I didn’t want you to… be afraid of me.”
You felt your heart shatter at his words. You stepped closer, kneeling in front of him and gently taking his hands in yours. “Remus, you’re not a monster. You’ve never been a monster to me.” Your voice softened, filled with the love you had been holding back for days. “I love you. All of you. Even the parts you think are too broken to love.”
His breath hitched, and you could see the disbelief in his eyes. “You… you don’t hate me?”
“Hate you?” You shook your head, tears welling up in your eyes. “Remus, I’m hurt. I’m hurt that you didn’t trust me enough to tell me. That you kept this from me. But I could never hate you.”
He let out a shuddering breath, his whole body trembling. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, his voice filled with raw emotion. “I’m so, so sorry. I should’ve told you. I should’ve trusted you.”
You leaned forward and gently pressed your lips to his, feeling the tension in his body melt away as he kissed you back. The kiss was soft, filled with unspoken apologies and forgiveness. When you pulled away, Remus looked at you like you were something he didn’t deserve, but desperately wanted to hold on to.
“Forgive the boys too,” he said softly, his thumb brushing against your cheek. “They didn’t want to hurt you either.”
You raised an eyebrow, a small smirk tugging at your lips. “Not before I make them grovel a bit first.”
Remus let out a soft chuckle, his smile the first genuine one you had seen in days. “You’re evil.”
You grinned, leaning in for another kiss. “Not as evil as you for keeping this secret from me.”
As your lips met again, Remus’s arms wrapped around you, holding you close, and for the first time in days, the weight of everything seemed to lift.
When you finally pulled back, Remus gave you a shy, almost nervous smile. “You’re not scared?”
You scoffed playfully, rolling your eyes. “Oh please, Remus. I’ve seen you fold your socks. You’re hardly terrifying.”
He chuckled softly, pulling you into another sweet, lingering kiss, the warmth between you chasing away all the pain.

megumi who recently discovered his love for the aquarium. growing up, he didn't really get the chance to explore all these childhood wonders. of course gojo tried, but young megumi was just too moody to try pay attention. it was only now, at 17, when you had suggested going there for a date.
the bus ride was full of many excuses, 'looking at fish? seriously? is that not for kids?' he'd grumble. you'd laugh. your hands intertwined together like glue. 'so what? you love animals' you'd reply, earning a roll of the eye and a nudge of the shoulder. you just smile up at him anyway.
his judgement was dismissed as soon as the two of you begun to walk through the place, and megumi looked in absaloute awe. his facial expression was soft, lips parted as he looked up at the large glass panel, baby jellyfish and fish swimming behind it. he seemed.. relaxed. excited even. you were surprised by his infatuation, you hadn't expected him to be so enthralled by the place. a soft blue light shun over his features, if you looked close enough— you could see a smile.
his hand tugged you along, pulling you towards the penguins that slid along the ice— their white bellies covered in a thin layer of icey water. megumi still had that adorable look on his face, and that told you everything you needed to know. you watch as his eyes read the little info boxes that no one paid attention to, tugging on your arm so you could read it too. if you listened close enough, over all the chatter and footsteps of the other people walking by, you could hear megumi's barely audible whispers intently reading the words out to you. his slender finger tracing each sentence he was on. it was such a tiny thing that most people wouldn't notice— but you knew why he always did that. it was because his reading skills weren't exactly up to standard since he spent so much time fighting curses rather than learning. it was sad if you thought about it, but the focused look in his eye made your heart warm.
"hey.. hey look at these- look at the sea snails" megumi would mutter to you, an arm wrapping around your waist as he pulls you closer to the glass, shoving random people out of the way without a care. why would he care? these idiots were blocking your view and his. "look at that one.." he whispers, his finger poking the glass. you were practically trapped between him and the exhibit, his hand was on your stomach and his head rested on your shoulder. normally megumi wouldn't hold you like this in public, but for some reason he was letting himself relax a little. maybe it was the calming blue light or the soft sloshing of water, or maybe he was just genuinely happy. whatever it was- it made you want to buy this entire aquarium just for him.
by the time the day ended, megumi had dragged you to every single exhibit. he considered going through the whole place again but when he saw how dark it was beginning to get and the sleepy look on your face, he decided it was time to wrap it up. he glanced around, making sure no one was watching, before dropping the softest kiss known to man kind on your lips. "I had fun." He mumbled, his palms still cupping your cheeks.
"I could tell, what part did you like the most?" you ask, taking his hands from your face and holding onto one of them as you both begin to make your way towards the exit, headed for the bus stop.
"i liked the pufferfish. they looked kinda like you." megumi would recall, the faintest smirk on his lips as you pout your lips- looking unimpressed. 'just like the pufferfish..' he thought. "I liked the blue lighting too. it uh.. made you look nice. your eyes looked pretty."
the next week, you had bought megumi one of those ocean themed light projectors for his room. after that, youve never seen his bedroom without the soft blue glaze that spread itself across his ceiling. you've decided that until you're old and wrinkled, the aquarium would be the place you take megumi whenever you possibly could.

silent treatment (2/13) | yoon jeonghan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Baby! How's work?" he greeted you with open arms as you entered the apartment.
You decided to play it cool, giving him a casual nod as you walked past him, not uttering a single word.
Throughout the evening, you continued your shenanigans, ignoring his attempts at conversation or attention. Night comes, you slipped away to your bedroom to change your clothes and head directly to the kitchen.
He then followed you, asking, "Baby, want some snacks?"
You grabbed a bowl of fruit from the fridge without acknowledging him. As you sat down at the dining table, focusing on your phone instead.
Seemingly unbothered, he sat across from you at the dining table, reaching for a fruit from the same bowl. He watched you quietly, a playful smirk forming on his lips, as you continued to ignore him.
Jeonghan, catching on to your prank, continued to act as if everything was normal. "Hey, why are you being like this today?" he asked, taking another bite of the strawberry.
Ignoring his question, you reached for the kiwi, only to be surprised when he suddenly put the half-eaten strawberry into your mouth. You bit into it, trying to hide your shock, but he noticed the slight change in your expression.
With a nod, he finished the strawberry, still playing along with your game as you pretended he wasn't even there.
A mischievous glint in his eyes began, as he chat about his past romances. "You know, I'm not sure if I ever told you about this but there was this one time when I was at a party probably 3 or 2 years ago, and I ended up making out with this person in the bathroom…" he paused for a moment looking at you but still you're eyes are focused on the small screen, he then added " You know ***** right?"
He took another fruit from the bowl, taking a bite before placing it to your lips, waiting for your reaction. You obliged, biting into the fruit as he continued his story, recounting various past lovers, some more steamy than others.
Occasionally, your teeth would accidentally nip his finger as you took a bite, he just casually licked it, unfazed. He knew this would get both of you worked up, given your jealous tendencies, but you remained composed, just focused on scrolling through your phone.
Despite your efforts to keep your cool, Jeonghan couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in your demeanor, and his face lit up with amusement as he continued his playful game.
Deciding to play along, you settled your phone down where he could see it, Casually scrolling through your past suitor's Instagram profile.
His eyebrows shot up in surprise as he noticed what you were doing, but again he maintained his composure, not wanting to break character. Instead, he reached for another fruit from the bowl, taking a bite before offering it to you, silently daring you to take it.
You accepted the fruit, biting into it with a slight smirk, your eyes flickering mischievously as you continued to glance at your phone, pretending not to notice your boyfriend reaction.
His playful demeanor turning slightly more daring, even dared you to follow the guy on IG. "Go on, follow him," he teased, a hint of provocation in his voice as he held another fruit to your lips.
Without saying a word, you obediently went up to the page and hit the follow button, still maintaining your facade of indifference. As you bit into the grape he offered, you couldn't resist teasing him back just a little, sucking on his finger lightly as you took the fruit.
Jeonghan couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy creeping in, as he watched you follow through with his dare, despite knowing it was all just part of the game. He added more jealousy to the plate, trying to provoke a reaction from you, but all you did was continue to ignore him, adding to his frustration and amusement.
He then sense an opportunity to turn the tables, began to chatter about his old romance again, but this time it's specifically the girl before you. "You know, she and I had some great times. There was this one time we went on a trip to Hawaii, and…"
He reached for another fruit, bit into it, and then tried to feed it to you, but to his surprised you refused, subtly showing that his words were starting to get under your skin. Your lips tightened, and your eyes flickered with a hint of irritation.
Jeonghan grinned, realizing he had the upper hand now. He took the fruit back to his mouth and finished it, his eyes never leaving yours. "What's the matter?" he teased. "Is my reminiscing bothering you?"
You maintained your silence, though it was clear that his words were beginning to have an effect. The tension between you suddenly changed, and his grin widened, enjoying the shift in dynamics.
You took a deep breath, trying to compose yourself and not let his taunting get to you. Suddenly, your phone buzzed with a notification. Your past suitor had followed you back and even liked every recent solo picture you had posted not to mention he also sent you a dm asking, "How are you?"
Jeonghan, seeing the notification, raised an eyebrow. "Oh, look at that. Seems like someone's really interested in you...again," he commented, his tone laced with mock innocence.
You glanced at the message, a small smirk forming on your lips. Without looking at him, you started typing a response. Jeonghan's grin faltered slightly, but he quickly recovered. "Well, isn't this interesting," he murmured, leaning back in his chair, watching you intently.
You continued to ignore him, feeling a surge of satisfaction as you kept your composure.
Jeonghan, determined to escalate the situation, moved out of his chair and sat right next to you, peering over your shoulder to get a better view of your chat with your past suitor.
"Let's see what you're saying, hmmmm" he said, his voice low and teasing. "Hey, I'm doing well. How about you?" he read aloud as you typed.
You could feel his breath on your neck, and it took all your willpower to maintain your cool. As you sent the message, you could sense his eyes on you, trying to gauge your reaction.
"Is he blind or just stupid?" he asked, feigning casual interest while his hand reached for another fruit from the bowl. He took a bite, then held it up to your lips, waiting to see if you'd accept it this time. "He just casually ignore some of your pictures where am in it? Am I just a fragment of you're imagination"
You glanced at the screen, seeing your past suitor's fast reply pop up. "I've been thinking about you a lot lately. We should catch up soon."
Ignoring your boyfriend talk, you responded to the message with a simple, "Sure, we can catch up sometime."
Jeonghan's eyes sparkled with a mixture of jealousy and amusement as he watched you, still holding the fruit near your lips, his grin never wavering. You finally accepted the fruit he placed on your lips, taking a deliberate bite while maintaining eye contact with him.
"You know," he said, leaning in closer, "it's really fascinating how much attention you're getting. Makes me wonder if I should be worried."
You swallowed the fruit and turned your attention back to your phone, typing out a response to your past suitor without missing a beat. "So, where do you want to meet up?"
Your past suitor quickly replied, suggesting either a cafe or dinner at a restaurant. You responded, "Anywhere is good as long as we can meet."
Jeonghan, who had been silently observing the exchange, tightened his jaw but quickly regained his composure. His eyes never left you as he watched the conversation unfold with a playful smirk.
"So, what's the plan? Tomorrow, the next day or next weekend?" he asked, his tone light but curious.
You were about to respond that tomorrow sounded great when Jeonghan interjected, "You know, what if I meet up with my ex during that time too? You're well aware that she kept on texting and calling me. Right Y/N?"
Midway through typing your response, you paused, your fingers hovering over the screen. You glanced at him, who had rested his chin on his palm, a smug expression on his face. "Finally noticed me, huh?" he teased.
Rolling your eyes, you turned your attention back to your phone, ignoring his comment. But he didn't let up, continuing to poke fun at the situation.
Meanwhile, your past suitor sent another message, asking for your number so he could call you tomorrow.
Your bf saw the message from your past suitor and couldn't help but let out a mocking laugh. He brushed his hair back, clicking his tongue in amusement as he watched you respond swiftly, providing your number without hesitation.
Your past suitor quickly reciprocated by providing his number, but you chose to ignore it, not bothering to save it in the process. Instead, you sent a message back, saying you had saved his number for future reference.
He leaned back in his chair, a smug grin on his face, as he watched your interactions unfold. It was clear that despite the annoying game, both of you knew where your loyalties lay. And in that moment, he couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction knowing that you were ultimately his.
As you continued chatting with your past suitor, it became evident that you were showing little interest in the conversation. Meanwhile, Jeonghan, your boyfriend beside you, was thoroughly enjoying himself, leaning in from time to time to share ideas or suggestions you could use to keep the conversation going.
"You could ask him about his hobbies," Jeonghan suggested, his voice low and suggestive as he leaned closer to you.
You nodded absently, not fully paying attention to his words as you felt your throat beginning to dry out. Deciding to get some water from the fridge, you started to stand up, but he stopped you, causing you to tumble and fall into his lap.
Before you could react, his hand began to roam your body, sending shivers down your spine. His fingers brushed against your lips, parting them with his thumb. Slowly, you opened your mouth as he inserted his thumb, feeling the tip against your tongue.
Your heart raced as you sucked on his thumb, swirling your tongue around it in response to his touch. Jeonghan's breath hitched slightly, a smirk forming on his lips as he pushed his thumb further into your mouth, silently encouraging you to continue.
He removed his thumb and exchanged it with his index and middle finger, your breath caught in your throat. His touch was electrifying as his fingers replaced his thumb in your mouth.
You felt a rush of heat spread through your body as you wrapped your lips around his fingers, sucking on them. Jeonghan's gaze was intense, his eyes locked on yours as he watched your reaction to his touch.
Your senses were heightened as you continued to suck on his fingers, the taste of his skin sending waves of pleasure. His lips curved into another satisfied smirk as he felt your response, his fingers gently caressing your tongue as you continued to suck on them, lost in the sensation of his touch.
He then removed his fingers from your mouth and tapped your thighs, signaling you to stand up. You complied, rising to your feet. With a swift, fluid motion, he pulled down your shorts and undergarments, leaving you exposed. He moved closer, his hands firmly grasping your ass, sending a shiver through your body.
One of your hand rested on the table for support, while the other found its way to his shoulder. He then shoved the fingers you had just sucked into your folds, his thumb drawing circles on your clit.
"You got this wet just by sucking my fingers," he mocked, his voice a mix of amusement and desire.
His words sent a wave of heat through you, your body responding to his touch. The sensation of his fingers inside you, combined with the circles his thumb was drawing on your clit, was overwhelming. You bit your lip, trying to suppress a moan, but it was impossible to hide your arousal.
Your phone began vibrating, and Jeonghan glanced at the screen, seeing an unknown number calling. He raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk playing on his lips as he looked at you.
"Don't answer that," you pleaded, your voice barely a whisper as you moved your head back, feeling his fingers thrust deeper inside you.
Ignoring your request, this fucker answered the call, pressing the loudspeaker button as he continued to pleasure you. You covered your mouth, trying to stifle any sounds of pleasure as the voice on the other end spoke.
The guy on the phone explained that he had started calling because you had left him on read, thinking that calling was the best way to get your attention. Jeonghan waited for your response, his fingers still moving inside you.
You tried to maintain your composure, answering the guy on the phone as if nothing was happening. But as Jeonghan's movements became more intense, it was becoming increasingly difficult to focus on the conversation.
Him, sensing your need for more, stood up from his chair and positioned you on the edge of the table. You lay back, putting your elbows under your back as he spread your legs wide apart. He freed his cock from his shorts, aligning himself with your entrance.
With your legs on his shoulders, he deepened the penetration, his hand sliding under your back to make the experience more comfortable and extremely deep. His other hand gripped the table for support as he continued to move inside you, each thrust sending waves of pleasure coursing through your body.
As the guy on the phone continued the conversation, you found it increasingly difficult to focus, your mind consumed by the intense pleasure Jeonghan was giving you. You hummed in response to the guy's words, barely registering what he was saying.
Meanwhile, he maintained eye contact with you, his gaze unwavering as he fucked you with purpose. With each thrust, you felt a surge of pleasure coursing, drawing a low moan from your lips.
Despite the distraction of the phone call, your eyes remained locked on Jeonghan's. His movements were rhythmic and powerful, each one pushing you closer and deeper to the edge of ecstasy.
Unable to resist any longer, Jeonghan leaned his head forward, allowing you to close the distance between you and him. His lips met yours, it was a sloppy kiss.
As he pulled his lips away from yours just long enough to whisper, "Answer him," you felt a pang of annoyance at the interruption, but you complied nonetheless.
With a shaky breath, you managed to respond, "Yeah, I'm still here," your voice barely above a whisper as you struggled to maintain your focus.
Jeonghan returned his lips to yours, as he continued to thrust deeper inside you, it became increasingly difficult to suppress your moans of pleasure. The intensity of his movements pushed you closer and closer to the edge, your body trembling waiting for orgasm.
Finally, with a deep groan, he reached his climax, finishing inside you. You could feel the warmth spreading inside you as he released himself, sending you both into a state of euphoria.
Gently, he removed your legs from resting on his shoulders and withdrew from you, his dick slick with your combined arousal. With a quick flick of his wrist, he took your phone, ending the call and blocking the number.
Then, without hesitation, he navigated to your Instagram and unfollowed the guy before blocking him entirely, ensuring that he would no longer be a presence in your life.
With the deed done, he turned his attention back to you, a satisfied smirk on his lips as he pulled you into his arms, knowing that you were his and his alone.
You nudged your head against Jeonghan's chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against your cheek. He wrapped his arms around you, holding you close.
"The silent treatment you gave me was pretty fun," he admitted with a chuckle, running his fingers through your hair.
You looked up at him, squinting your eyes playfully. "Making each other jealous wasn't part of the game, though," you reminded him. "You definitely added fuel to the fire."
Jeonghan smirked, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Well, you did a good job of keeping your cool," he teased. "But I couldn't resist. I had to make sure you remembered who you belong to. Besides seeing you get all worked up was kind of hot."
You smirked, shaking your head slightly. "Next time, let's find a game that doesn't involve other people."

anticipation
charles xavier x fem!mutant!reader pre first class era
you were the first person to ever keep charles out of someone's mind. he instantly became enamored.
word count: 1k | warnings: none
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had almost become a hobby of sorts for Charles to peer into others' minds, just briefly in passing. He liked to know their thoughts. Sometimes it was funny, sometimes sad, and other times a little disturbing, but Charles tried to forget about those times.
One of these days, his little trick would probably get him into all sorts of trouble. Until then, it was worth every second.
One of Charles' favorite ways to do this was going to bars and reading the minds of tipsy and drunk people. Those were the most fun. There was absolutely no filter on anyone, making it easy and enjoyable for him to indulge a little bit. Truly, it was a harmless hobby.
Charles' eyes scanned over the crowd of people as he sat at the bar. His eyes scanned in search for the perfect person to read. He wanted something interesting, new, exciting. The best people to read were the drunk ones, but also the worst. It could get repetitive, but this time, Charles was determined to find someone who stood out, someone who he could dig a little deeper into.
A young woman sat at one of the booths across the room. She was alone, and my, rather pretty if Charles had a say. She just sat at the booth, sipping on her drink without a care in the world. Either she had a story or was insanely depressed. Charles hoped it wasn't the latter. Plus, what was life without risk? She was perfect.
Fingers against his temple, Charles slowly began to ease into her mind, so soft and slow that she wouldn't be able to notice a thing.
However, you did.
In fact, you knew something was up with the man before he'd even began to attempt to enter your mind. You could sense strong waves of something from the man. You'd kept him in the corner of your eye before he even set his sights on you. Determination, calculated, and dead set on you. Yeah, he was up to something.
For a moment, you thought maybe he was some creep devising a wicked plan to kidnap you or something. I mean, come on, a girl sitting alone in a bar surrounded by drunk people. But then, you felt his intentions. A mutant, no doubt, or maybe just a really good magician. Then, you saw him make a move, two fingers to his temple. Ah, mutant for sure. Must be some way to hone his powers. So, you closed yourself off entirely.
It was almost like you could feel his mind trying to invade your own. It felt like a stick poking mud. You didn't dare cause attention, so you sat there in great focus to keep him out. He was much stronger than you anticipated, making it a real challenge. Challenge was new. Not many mutants could pin you in a crowd, even alone. This man being able to spot you and attempt to use his own powers on you was unusual, but somehow, you could sense he meant no harm.
Charles' brows furrowed when he got nothing. Absolutely nothing, nada, zip. That couldn't be possible. He never failed. How could he have not sensed a single thing off of you?
Then, you made the mistake of darting your eyes to him. It was just a moment, a fraction of a second, but with how focused he was on you, he'd caught it.
He moved like an arrow speeding through the air at its target. He'd gotten up so fast from his seat that it nearly startled you. Before you could even think of getting up, he was sat across from you.
"Who are you?" Charles asked quickly.
"I think it's very rude to intrude in other people's minds," you replied, folding your arms over your chest. "Very invasive of you."
"You're a mutant," commented Charles as he eyed you.
A scoff left your mouth, "Rude thing to call a person."
"That's not what I--"
"I'm messing with you," you chuckled. "Yeah, I am. And so are you. Do you find some sick enjoyment learning everyone's deepest, darkest secrets?"
Charles let out a chuckle of his own, shaking his head while a hand ran through his hair. "I just merely read their active thoughts. I do nothing with it."
"Sure," you nodded, unconvinced. "What's your name?"
"I believe I asked you first at the beginning of this conversation." Charles replied, a small victorious smile on his face knowing he'd piqued your interest. You gave him your name, and he gave you his. Xavier, Charles. "How did you keep me out of your head?"
You shrugged, "I could sense you were going to do it before you even did it." His face didn't change, but you still added, "Don't feel so bummed. I anticipated it all before you even thought anything."
"You’re not a mind reader," Charles examined, "but you're certainly something similar."
"I can feel your emotions, anticipate your next moves." you answered. "Not the coolest thing, but it certainly makes me feel safer in bars where strange men try to read my mind."
Sheepishly, Charles let out a huff of air. "Sorry. I didn't intend to come off.. well, creepy."
"I don't think you're creepy anymore," you replied. "Plus, I've never met someone with mutations so similar to mine. I mean, we both sort of use our minds. That's something."
Charles nodded, "It is. I've never met anyone so unique yet similar to me. Tell me, when did you develop your mutation?"
"When I was maybe six or seven. From what I've learned, I guess that was a bit young. Gave me time to hone my skills." It really did take a while to get things under control. Feeling everyone's emotions within fifty feet was a lot to take in, especially when that range grew.
"Can I buy you another drink?" Charles asked suddenly. He was flirting, you could feel it. "And maybe, while we're exchanging things, you could drop those mental walls?"
You laughed, "And let you read my mind? Charles, I have a feeling you've never experienced good old heart to heart with another person. My gift to you is discovering how to learn without reading people's minds."
"So, a yes to that drink?" Charles smiled.
"A yes to that drink," you confirmed. "Get one for yourself. I think we're just beginning our night."

As You Wish
Tumblr media
Eddie Munson x fem!reader
summary: you and Eddie meet at Robin’s Halloween party and realize that you’re dressed up as a couple
based on this request!
Eddie was convinced that he didn’t believe in love at first sight, but the second you walked through the door to Robin’s apartment, he was beginning to think that his mind was changed.
You looked absolutely breathtaking in your Buttercup costume and he was realizing that you were the new friend that Robin had made at work. The one she had gabbed about endlessly, always wanting to make it clear to Eddie you were very pretty and very single.
That was always something that his friends told him and faster many failed dates, he had revoked all of their setting up privileges. But this time…this time maybe he’d let it slide.
He turned away from you when you approached the snack table where he and the other three in his group had been standing. He wanted to remain cool and mysterious even though he knew that he was nothing of the sort. Maybe then he wouldn’t have been chronically single.
“And who might you be?” You asked and Robin patted Eddie on the shoulder to let him know that you were speaking to him. He whipped around, knocking over the bowl of chips in front of him in the process and was grateful that a mask was covering most of his face because it hid his blush.
He was quick to drop to the floor to scoop the chips back into the bowl and was so focused on what he was doing that he hadn’t even been aware that anyone had been helping him until a hand brushed his.
Eddie looked up slowly to see your eyes looking into his, a warm smile on your lips. His gaze shifted to your hands to see m that they were full of chip crumbs that you were picking up from the floor and he was about to thank you, the words on the tip of his tongue, but you had somehow rendered the man who never shut up speechless.
“I-“ he started, but his mouth was now dry and he was suddenly very aware of how hot his costume was. Jesus, he really needed a glass of water.
“Yeah?” You asked, your voice so gentle and he appreciated that you were being so patient with him. A lot of women he had come across would have made fun of him, but you didn’t. You had even gone as far as helping him clean up the mess he had made.
“D-“ he cut himself off again, not entirely sure what he was trying to say. He was blowing his shot at getting a date without and he hadn’t even said anything yet.
You gathered the rest of the chips into the bowl and then stood, offering him your hand and he took it, letting you help to his feet.
“Well, look at that,” you smiled as you got the full view of his costume. “It seems we’ve somehow dressed up as a couple.” You let out a chuckle and Eddie swore it was the most beautiful thing he had ever heard.
Your words finally registered in his brain and he looked down at his costume before looking at yours, seeing that the two of you actually did look like a couple and that made him feel even more sweaty than he was previously. What were you doing to him?
“Guess it’s fate,” you added with a wink and the man thought he was going to die right there.
“G-guess so,” he was finally able to get out and your smile widened at his agreement. Robin had told you that he was cute and she had been right, at least, you thought she had been even though you couldn’t see most of his face. And you thought his clumsiness was adorable. Most men you had come across had been cocky or way too confident so it was refreshing to see someone who wasn’t.
And his costume was impressive, so close to the one that Westley had worn in the movie and you wondered how much he paid to have it made. Surely something custom like that had to cost a pretty penny. Yours had just come from items you already had in your closet and you were lucky just how accurate everything looked.
“I really love your costume,” you complimented and you watched what you could see of Eddie’s cheeks turn bright pink. “Where did you get it?”
“I um-I made it,” he replied, stepping closer to the table to grab his bottle of beer that he had left sitting there. He took a sip, watching your face the entire time, gauging your face for any negative reaction. How many times had he told a girl that he made his own cosplay costumes only to be met by grimaces? It was all so exhausting to try to put on a facade, to pretend to be someone else and he was tired of it. That was why he had stopped putting himself out there, why he decided that it was better to be by himself.
But your face lit up as soon as the words left his mouth, fascination written all over it and the man swore he was dreaming for a second.
“You made this?” You asked, your beautiful smile getting even brighter. “That’s fucking awesome!” You were now grinning and Eddie resisted the urge to clean out his ears or make you repeat yourself.
“I did,” he nodded, your smile feeling infectious as one spread across his own lips. “I um-“ he cut himself off, but then thought he should continue, deciding that you were a safe space for him. “I make costumes all the time. I love to cosplay.”
Now you were beginning to understand why Robin was trying to set the two of you up. Not only had she probably (definitely) known that you two were going to coincidentally dress up as a couple, but she also knew that you both were into cosplay.
“Me too!”
“Now you’re just pulling my leg.”
“No, seriously, I’ll have to show you my photo album sometime.” Sometime as in…were you setting up a date?
“Yeah,” he nodded. “I’d like that.”
“Good,” you nodded. “Do you want to get a drink-oh-you already have one.” Eddie took another sip of his beer and realized that the bottle was in fact empty.
“Empty,” he held up the bottle and you nodded, feeling a shy smile appear on your cheeks that were starting to burn.
“Let’s go, then,” you held your hand out and Eddie took it without hesitation, letting you lead him into the kitchen for another drink.
“As you wish,” he responded with a smile as he looked down at your entwined fingers, subconsciously letting the pad of his thumb rub along your knuckles gently as he followed you, wondering what the hell he had done to deserve you.
You spent the rest of the night side by side on Robin’s couch, drinking and laughing with the rest of the group. And when the party came to a close and the two of you went down to where you had parked, you exchanged numbers, deciding that maybe Robin did know what she was talking about in regards to setting the two of you up.

hey, as a psychology student, I barely see ff involving this area so what if a ff where yn is a psychologist in F1 and she ends up falling for oscar? but you can add some obstacles to make it more interesting haha
for the sake of this, reader is a sports psychologist!
ignore how this lowkey isn’t a psychologists job okay im sorry😭
Tumblr media
As part of the sport’s initiate to protect all of its drivers—from Formula 3 to its top competitors in Formula 1–they’ve decided to hire a group of sports psychologists. The group was hired to work track side every weekend, and has their own individual offices in the Formula 1 hospitality. The FIA claimed their hospitality was too full.
You happened to be one of those psychologists.
You spent most days doing absolutely nothing. Most drivers were too embarrassed to pay a visit to any of your offices. Or too conscious of getting caught visiting one and getting blasted on social media.
Some did visit. Particularly the rookies. Lando was the only one to frequent your office. He’d pop in after particularly bad races just to rant to you. He liked how good of a listener you were and how easily you could soothe his worries.
Which is why when he noticed Oscar carry a bit too much tension in his shoulders, he recommended that he pay a visit to you. “One visit wouldn’t hurt.” He reasoned when Oscar was too hesitant.
The next weekend, there was a knock on your door. “Come in,” you called, closing out of your tabs.
“Hi,” you looked up at his quiet voice. Stood as he walked into the room.
“Hi!” You beamed. “Have a seat, make yourself comfortable. There’s snacks, water, take whatever you need.” You gestured to the cart beside the couch and you sat in the chair across from him.
Lando had mentioned how you were nice and a good listener. But he never mentioned how pretty you were, or how infectious your smile was.
“What brings you in?” You didn’t have an intimidating clipboard, nor did you ask him questions like he was in an interrogation room. You also didn’t have those obnoxious overhead lights on. Just the sunlight and a few warm lamps. It was a cozy space.
Oscar leaned into the fluffy sofa, sinking in it like a cloud. “I just feel stressed lately. It’s probably the championship but it’s really having a physical effect on me. I feel really sore lately.”
Still, you smiled. “Have you tried anything to manage the stress? Meditation? Relaxing music? Picking up a hands-on hobby helps a lot of people, too.”
“No.” He said flatly.
“Okay, well trying one of those could help, and I’m always here to talk if you think that might help.”
Tumblr media
Oscar definitely thought your talks helped. He’d gone to you almost every single day. Most of the time, he wasn’t even discussing racing. He’d ask you about your life, tell you about his.
And the one day, after a month and a half of ‘sessions’, he’d asked you out for dinner.
He should’ve seen it coming. Your sigh. How you told him I’m sorry, we should keep this professional.
He avoided you for the following three weeks. Three long weeks of his mind plagued by the memories of you. By your laugh. Your smile. Then he decided he’d had enough of his torturous mind.
He went into your office without knocking. “I’m having difficulty focusing on my races because there’s this really cute, nice girl who I can’t stop thinking about, but she doesn’t seem to care about me.” He threw himself onto the sofa like it was another session.
You sighed, finding your usual place in the chair. “I do care about you, Oscar. But we can’t be anything more than-“
“Professional! I know, you’ve said that before.” He grumbled, then sat up. “Why?”
“Why do we have to be professional?”
“Yes!”
“Because we both work for the same people.” You sighed. You were too calm. He envied it. He was breaking down because he couldn’t have what he wanted.
And you were calm.
That should be him. He should be that calm, that composed. It usually came easy to him, but now it was taking everything in him to not get a taste of your lips.
“Last time I checked, you don’t have a contract with Zak brown.” He laughed, pacing the room now.
You tossed him the stress ball you kept on your desk. He took it and sat down, squeezing it like it personally wronged him. “Maybe not, but I can’t date any driver, it’s not just you. It’s not a good look. They’ll fire me for it, I know they will.”
He was thinking quick. “Does it say that in your contract?”
You thought for a moment, then, “no.”
“Then it’s wrongful termination.”
You chewed your lip. Still risky in your mind, but boy were his big brown eyes convincing. You sighed. “Okay. I’ll go to dinner with you.”
“Yes!” He jumped up with a pump of his fist. A bigger victory than you’d ever heard on his radio. “I’ll pick you up uhm- er- Sunday night?”
“Better win then.”
And win he did. Not only the race, but also you.
He married you four years later—and you still had your job in the paddock.

Heartslaybul
Riddle:
You and Riddle were studying together on one of the upper floors of the library. While quiet remarks had been made back and forth, more than anything, you both just enjoyed each other's company.
Neither of you had really noticed just how much time had passed since class had been out. Now, with the library being bathed in the warmth of the sunset, Riddle was about ready to pack up to ensure he made it back to his dorm in time for tea time. However, as he looked up from his work, he found himself pausing to study your visage.
The sunlight pouring in from the windows behind you made you look like you were glowing; ethereal. His eyes lingered on you, studying every inch of your expression, focused on the task at hand, which happened to be your history homework. The slight furrow of your brow, the sharpness in your eyes, determined to finish your work, the slight pout of your lips...
He found himself feeling shy all of a sudden, without much of an explanation. He wanted to compliment you - at least...to tell you how lovely you looked, his hand reaching gingerly across the table to try and hold your free one, but just as you noticed, he startled as a very distinctive voice cut through the other hushed chatter around the library.
"Eheee~ goldfishie!! And lil shrimpy, aww I get a two for one deal!! Whatchya guys doin'?"
Floyd came over, picking up one of Riddle's book and flicking through it, feigning interest, before looking bored and setting it aside.
"Blegh, have you guys seriously been here all d- eh?? Goldfishie, you're all red~ you're not mad though, are ya? Usually it takes more than that t'push your buttons."
Riddle seemed to be at a loss for words, opening his mouth as if to say something, then snapping it shut, just making Floyd giggle as he sat on the table and leaned backwards to talk to you.
"Ahhhha I see what's goin' on. You should ask goldfishie out, shrimpy, he ain't gonna do it himself otherwise."
Riddle somehow managed to flush even more, his cheeks nearly matching his face in colour.
"Yes I would! I just- I- If you hadn't so RUDELY interrupted our-"
Riddle's rambling was cut short by a soft peck on his cheek, causing him to sputter and look at you in disbelief. The rather smug look on your face combined with Floyd's rambunctious laughter was enough to render the redhead completely speechless, contemplating now, how the future would play out.
Trey:
He would never admit it, but these late night rendezvous in the kitchen were some of his favourite moments. He was always concerned about your journey from Ramshackle to Heartslaybul, but you always stayed on the phone with him while he prepped everything and you walked over.
Being the voice of reason in the dorm, as well as Riddle's handler often left him drained, but your presence and an empty, quiet kitchen were more than enough to make him feel better. There was also a bit of a thrill to it, as nobody knew the two of you were dating yet. He loved knowing that the two of you would be left to your own devices...that he would have your full, undivided attention.
You let him know you were getting to the front door, so he made sure to go unlock it for you, before heading back to the kitchen.
You walked in on him measuring a tablespoon of vinegar into a cup of milk.
"Won't that curdle it?"
Trey hummed in amusement, pulling you in gently against him.
"Yeah, that's the point. Buttermilk in red velvet cake is a must."
He leaned down to kiss you softly. Admittedly, it likely lasted longer than it felt, but he pulled away rather quickly, pulling you to his chest and turning you away from the sudden flash of light from the hallway. Hushed giggles and whispers were heard afterwards, rather panicked sounding as Trey's glare penetrated through the darkness.
He was about to pull out his pen to stop the footsteps that were clearly booking it down the hallway, but you gently lowered his hand. Though embarrassed, it was nothing worth expending magic on.
"People were gonna find out one way or another..."
Trey sighed softly, his face softening as he turned back towards you.
"True, I just wish it could have waited a little longer."
You smiled a bit mischievously.
"Well they're gone now, and it's not like anything we do at this point will change what they do with the photos. Want to continue where we left off?~"
Cater:
"Don't let me go."
"I'm not going to let you go."
"Don't let me go."
Cater laughed softly. "I couldn't let you go if I tried, you've got a vice grip on me right now."
He walked beside you slowly, letting you try and get used to the feeling of being on his skateboard, your forearms locked together to help you keep your balance, but you were still wearing a helmet as an added safety measure.
"Do you want to try giving yourself a little push? I'll still-"
"No, no thank you, this is still fine."
He couldn't help but chuckle again, finding you rather cute. He enjoyed being the person you were relying on for safety right now, and your focused face and determination to not fall were just too adorable to ignore! He tried to lean in to kiss your cheek, but you weren't expecting it, so you leaned away, tilting you backwards on the skateboard. Cater tripped over the skateboard as you tumbled backwards, but at the last moment, he managed to pull you on top of him and took the brunt of the fall instead, grunting a bit before laughing softly.
"Sevens, I'm sorry-"
"Are you okay??" You cut off his apology, more concerned about the fact he not only fell on the pavement, but that he had taken your weight along with it.
"Hm? Oh of course I am, Cay-Cay's taken MUCH rougher falls in a far less prepared manner. You can't get into skateboarding if you don't become an expert in how to fall properly." He hummed, rather satisfied with himself that you hadn't gotten hurt, sitting up and helping you sit up in the process.
You gave him a small, faux pout.
"Well, I'm afraid the only falling I'm an expert in, is head over heels for you."
You couldn't help but grin and wink as the ginger's face flushed a bit, a bashful smile a mile wide being hidden behind his hand.
Deuce:
"WOOOOOOOOOOOO DEUCE!!!!! GO DEUCE!! N-R-C, N-R-C!!!!!"
He could hear you cheering him on from the stands as he crossed the finish line, coming in first place. Pure elation coursed through him; not only had his training paid off and he had beaten RSA's competitors, but he had done it in front of you.
As soon as he got the go-ahead from coach Vargas, he was jogging off to come meet you at the bottom of the bleachers, a little out of sight of all the hubbub. He was absolutely beaming as he approached you. You had a small hand towel in one hand, and his water in the other. Despite this, and the fact Deuce had just run a race, you wrapped your arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around you, laughing.
"I did it!!!"
"You did!! And I got it all on video for your mom too!"
He laughed again softly, hugging you a little tighter before letting you go.
"You're the best, you know that right? I really appreciate you coming here."
He averted his eyes for a moment, before leaning in to try and place a kiss on your cheek.
"Thank you for-"
"Deuce? Coach is looking for- ah-"
Jack averted his eyes awkwardly, his ears flattening, his tail tucking slightly, and rubbed the back of his neck a bit.
"Sorry if I'm interrupting something, but coach said he needs everyone...uh...back, I'll give you two a minute though...sorry-...sorry."
Even though you couldn't see Jack's face, you could hear the embarrassment in his voice as he slinked back from whence he came. Not to mention, Deuce's cheeks were flushed from both being "caught" and from the race.
Deuce stuttered a bit, trying to recover, but failed as you placed a soft kiss on his cheek instead.
"You should get back to your coach before he sends someone a little less considerate than Jack to come find you. You can return the kiss later, okay?"
You giggled softly, gently pushing him to go join his team lest he get into trouble with Vargas.
Ace: (OTL this is a little different sorry)
"You know you could have just done this right the first time and we wouldn't be stuck redoing this assignment for Crewel."
Ace mocked you through facial expression before responding.
"Yeah well if you had shown up at lunch like you were supposed to, we wouldn't be stuck here after school."
You rolled your eyes.
"You knew I had to talk to Crowley at lunch, your poor planning and listening skills are not my issue. I know I told you that the recipe only called for mustard seed and bat fur, not snake tongue. How do you even confuse that??"
You searched his face for answers, but he just turned his face away from you, a light blush on his face as he mumbled something under his breath. You huffed and rolled your eyes.
"Oh come on, I deserve an explanation as to why you did it. There's no way it wasn't on purpose."
He sighed, puffing his cheeks just slightly and restating what he said.
"Maybe I just wanted to spend time with you"
With the cauldron bubbling, it was rather difficult to hear him, so you just shot him a confused look.
"Dude, speak u-"
"I wanted to hang out, okay?! Like. One on one. You're always so busy with your...rEspOnsiBilItiEs and...taking care of everyone and babysitting Grim, I feel bad trying to ask for some of your time when I know it's a precious commodity and this was the only way I could think of doing it, okay?! Just....we'll get this over with and then you can go."
His face stayed flushed, his safety googles too fogged up to see his eyes. You were stunned into silence for a moment, before you tried to reach for his hand. You startled away however, as Crewel's crop hit the edge of the cauldron.
"I take it you two pups are staying on task?"
You gave him a strained smile. "Of course Professor."
Ace silently added the last of the ingredients before using a funnel and ladle to help him add the brew into an Erlynmeyer flask, leaving it open to cool and nodding slightly at it as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"That should be it, it just needs to cool and then put a stopper on it."
Crewel grabbed the neck of the flask, his gloves thick enough to withstand the heat as he swirled the contents gently and studied the fluid. He nodded slightly.
"Get some tape, label it properly, then you'll be dismissed. I'll take care of clean up and storage. Well done."
The professor cracked a smile at the two of you as you nodded to acknowledge him, thanking him before moving to join Ace at the desk. He was writing your names, the date, the class - all as expected for the label, but now that you were a little bit away from the professor, you waited for him to put the tape down before holding his hand gently, speaking quietly.
"Ace, time might be a precious commodity, but you're precious to me too, okay? Grim should still be with Deuce and Epel for a little while. Once we get out of here let's go get slurpees or something, okay?"
It took Ace a moment to buffer, his hand coming up to cover his face in an attempt to hide just how flustered being called 'precious' got him. Near immediately, the crack of Crewel's crop was heard, making both of you startle.
"Gloves do not go near your face Trappola. That's a health hazard."
He gave the two of you a bit of a knowing smile as Ace nodded meekly at the reprimand, still reeling from the fact you had just asked him out.
You slid your gloves off and lifted your safety googles, grinning.
"Sound like a deal?"
Ace smiled shyly but tried to play it off as he followed suite.
"You sound like Azul. Yeah, sure, I GUESS we can go get slurpees."
Savanaclaw
Leona:
"You really think you're hot shit, don't you?"
You couldn't help but laugh softly at the lion beastman. This man really tried to kabedon you and expected you to take him seriously. Yeah right. Amusement was written all over your face, which on one hand was a little unexpected, but on the other, just made it all the more entertaining for him too - he didn't mind a challenge if the prize was you.
"I might think something like that, yeah. You got an issue with that herbivore?" His voice carried a bit of a playful growl to it as he leaned in closer, going so far as to nip at your ear lightly.
His ear flicked slightly in annoyance as he backed up just a tiny bit; a group of panicked first years came barreling down the otherwise empty hallway.
"THERE'S TWO MINUTES BEFORE CREWEL SAID IT'S DUE"
"YEAH NO SHIT, BUT HE WASN'T IN HIS CLASS HE BETTER BE IN HIS OFFICE"
"DUDE YOUR SHOELACES-"
"WATCH OUT!!!"
Leona grumbled something about them being a nuisance, but you watched in horror as the poor boy holding the potion he was so urgently trying to get to Crewel tripped over his friends shoelaces. For everyone save for Leona, you're sure time slowed right down as the potion flew out of the boys hand, the stopper flew out of the bottle, and the potion landing all over Kingscholar.
At the very least, the boy who tripped didn't hit the floor as Leona yanked him up by the back of his shirt, growling.
"What the FUCK did you just spill on me?"
The boy was winded and whiplashed, but his friends seemed to be a mix of distraught and trying not to laugh. Leona growled, tossing the boy to the side gently to let him get on his feet, before nodding and growling at the group of bystanders.
"WHAT WAS IT?"
You had to suppress your own laughter as Leona started to shrink in front of you.
One of the boys laughed nervously.
"It's a shrinking potion, it's really nothing dangerous!! And ah- we really really need the mark for Crewel's class so...we're really sorry but we're gonna have to take you in as proof we completed it!!"
Leona looked bewildered, his ears flattened against his head as he growled, though it sounded rather...cute as he continued to shrink.
"No! You touch me I'll turn you to sand!! You're going to regret this!!"
You couldn't help but join in on the giggle fit in the hallway, the once tall and mighty Leona reduced to mere inches. Despite his protesting, you lifted him by the back of his shirt like it was his scruff, poking his chest gently with your other hand.
"Mm, well, I think it's bad enough they'll be getting a 20% dock on their mark, so we're going to help them out and submit you as proof."
Leona growled, his hands holding your finger tightly as if it could do anything to stop you.
"....I'll make it up to you later, or you can choose to refuse but I'm going to tell Malleus about this."
Even at his minuscule size, you could see the flash of anger in his eyes at the mention of Malleus.
"Don't you dare bring this up to the lizard...fine. We'll....we'll go to Crewel's...but if ANY of you breathe a word of this to ANYONE else, turning you to sand will be a show of MERCY."
Ruggie:
"And the crowd goes wild as Ruggie Bucci scores one more goal for Savanaclaw right before half time! He couldn't have cut it closer if he'd tried!"
The announcer kept rambling about one thing or another, but your eyes were on your boyfriend as he, (rightfully), showboated a little on his broom, working the crowd a bit. His smile was downright adorable as he did so, before he finally made eye contact with you and it got a lot more devious.
He shot up on his broom into direct sunlight, so when you tried to follow him with your eyes, it took a few seconds of blinking before you saw him hanging upside down by his knees on his broom in front of you. His tail had to be wagging a mile a minute as he giggled a bit.
"Shyeeheehee heya sweetheart~ you're a real pretty face to be showin' up around here. Y'got a boyfriend?"
This little shit
He knew he was just out of reach for a kiss, and while amused, you tried to conceal it under a mask of being jokingly mad.
"You know, if you had a significant other, they might not be too impressed with these shenanigans."
Ruggie stuck his tongue out a bit.
"I'm pretty confident I'm cute enough to get out of any sort of trouble with them."
Your expression was pretty telling that that was exactly what the case was. He snickered and came close enough to hold your face, teasing you with the possibility of a kiss before he just shed his jacket and tossed it at you instead. The whistle blew, and Ruggie sat back upright on his broom despite the indignant sound you made.
"I'LL KISS YOU AFTER I WIN IT FOR SAVANACLAW!!"
Jack:
Even though the first time you had attended Magift practice at Savanaclaw you had been...given a concussion by Grim via magift disc to the head, it wasn't enough to keep you away for good.
Jack had invited you, (and reluctantly allowed Grim), to come watch morning practice. (But only if you wanted to.)
Before he had even seen you, his ear flicked and his tail started wagging just from recognizing your footsteps. He had to keep his attention on Leona during the brief as a sign of respect, but as soon as Leona dismissed the debrief, he flashed you a bright smile and waved at your spot on the bleachers.
It was clear to everyone playing, Jack was distracted, as he kept glancing over at you after every play, to the point where Leona had to stop the disc from hitting Jack square in the jaw and call a recess.
Jack didn't seem to realize the break was done because of him. You couldn't hear from where you were, but whatever Leona said to Jack made the freshman's ears flatten and tail tuck a bit. Leona shook his head a bit before gently shoving Jack in your general direction, Ruggie looking rather amused at the entire interaction.
Jack approached you, a little bashful and ashamed as he rubbed the back of his neck, averting his eyes.
"Ah...uhm...for some reason...Leona thinks you being around is a distraction to me...which is NOT true, but he doesn't think it's safe for me to play as long as you're here...which is dumb, because...I wasn't distracted."
You couldn't help but grin a little, using your height on the bleachers to meet him right at eye level. You didn't make him look at you, but you knew he certainly felt like he should.
"Wanna look at me and try saying that again?~"
Jack sputtered a bit, his cheeks feeling warm and feeling as if he needed to take a step back as you just gave him a bigger shit eating smile, stepping down from the bleachers until you were right in front of him, trying to get him to look at you, though he covered his face partially with his hand.
"Okay, that's enough, if you keep teasing him he's not gonna be able to focus for the entire day."
Leona sighed, shaking his head and holding his head with three of his fingers.
"I'm surprised his tail isn't sprained from how fast it's been wagging shyeheehee" Ruggie snickered, and you stepped back, shrugging innocently.
"I wasn't teasing, I was just-"
"That's enough I said. You can go wait by the mirror entrance or go back to Ramshackle. Somebodies puppy crush is a hazard to himself, so if he's still acting a fool he'll come meet you soon."

Azul: (extremely Flirty MC SORRY LKSJHFLKSDJF)
"It's good isn't it?"
As much as he detested that smug tone, there was no way he could deny just how much he had enjoyed the meal you had prepared, ready to offer a trade.
He sighed.
"You're obviously skilled. I would be willing to pay for the recipe in exchange for giving you free food at the end of the night."
The less food waste recorded the better, and you needed to save every cent you could...not to mention, just giving you the trash food at the end of the night would save him the trouble of hiring you, going through the onboarding process, and having to pay you. Hopefully you would go for the free food, considering it enough compensation for the rest of the time you were here.
What he didn't expect, was for you to laugh, taking a seat on his desk and serving another forkful of food, holding it up to his lips.
"Oh come on now Azul. Do you really think I can't provide for myself? I didn't come here for that type of trade~"
Azul felt his cheeks flush, gently pushing the fork aside as he averted his eyes, his mind deciding to entertain a train of thought that was more emotional than logical...surely you weren't implying what he thought you were.
He chanced a glance back at you, only to be met with that...infuriatingly conniving smile he found aggravatingly stunning.
Your smile only widened. "What's wrong Azul? Not in the market for a kiss or two?~" You leaned closer to him, a pathetic squeak leaving him before you heard a very polite clearing of the throat from near the entrance of Azul's office.
"I'm so very sorry if I'm interrupting something, but your next clients are here Azul. It would be rude to keep them waiting." Jade flashed a polite, but strained smile at you, hoping you would get the message.
You sighed softly, blowing a kiss over your shoulder as you left the room.
"Enjoy the rest of your meal Azul~ You've got my number if you want it again!"
Jade: (sorry this doesn't quite fit the bill but I think it's cute)
"It's not much further. Please, be cautious of where you step, the moss can be quite slippery."
You fought to not pant trying to follow Jade. You had only agreed to this hike because he said it was beginner-friendly, and he had seemed SO excited when he had told you about a mushroom species he was eager to find.
Yet here you were, scaling a small waterfall, watching Jade's every step to try and follow for the sake of not DYING.
Maybe that was a bit dramatic, but the point was, whether it was due to embarrassment, or not wanting to get hurt, you didn't plan on falling in front of Jade.
Jade made it up first, offering you a smile and his hand to help pull you up.
Part of you thought about how he might pull you close once you got up, but that was quickly dashed as he kept you nearly an arms length away. A small pout threatened to form on your lips, but you just smiled and thanked him for his assistance. He nodded slightly, before venturing forward.
"The mushrooms I thought I saw shouldn't be much farther. Do make sure you stay cl-"
A yelp left Jade as he slipped on the very moss he had warned you about. You weren't entirely sure what made you think you could catch him, but your body acted before your mind. It must have been the adrenaline, or maybe a desperate need to impress him, because somehow you managed to catch and support the merman before he hit the ground so you could gently place him down, you staring down at him in confusion, and him looking up at you in absolute bewilderment. You weren't exactly what took over, but before Jade could say anything, you could feel a shit eating grin grow on your face as your heart felt as though it was pounding out of your chest.
"Falling for me hard and fast, huh?"
Jade looked shocked, but amused, picking himself off the ground, before matching your height with a small smile as he spoke softly in your ear.
"Did it take you this long to notice?~"
Floyd:
It was 3am.
It was 3 in the fucking morning when you heard a crack from your front door.
And yet, your sense of self-preservation went completely out of the window as the smell of your favourite meal started to fill Ramshackle. Making sure you didn't wake Grim, you gingerly left your bed, curiousity getting the better of you as you made your way down the stairs.
You took a peek at the front door as you came down, expecting splinters, but from what you could see, it was completely fine. You could hear soft humming and scatting coming from the kitchen, giving you a pretty good idea of who was in there. You couldn't help the smile that played over your lips as you watched Floyd use your kitchen utensils as drumsticks, making sure to stop right before they made contact with anything while he vocalized the drumline instead. You assumed it was an attempt to be quiet, but as soon as he heard the floorboards creak, his attention locked onto you and he pushed his headphones back as he beamed.
"Floyd wh-"
"Shrimpyy!!! I got bored and Azul took my key for the Mostro Lounge so I came here. Gotta few recipes I felt like makin', 'nd I know you ain't comin' by food easily. Figured you could be my taste tester in exchange for me usin' your kitchen. Also I broke the lock on your door cuz I lost the key ya gave me, but I fixed it too so don't get mad about it."
If it were anyone else, you may have gotten a little pissy, maybe asked for more of an explanation, but Floyd's animated nature and excitement as he continued his little drumming session had you smiling fondly. You sat at one of the stools on the far side of the island in comparison to Floyd, watching him work.
"I'm fine by that." You couldn't help but wonder a little bit, what had kept Floyd up this late, but you knew asking would likely only kill his mood, and that was the last thing you wanted. Not just because he was cooking FOR you, but he seemed so happy doing so...it wasn't worth it, he was clearly distracting himself with whatever kept him up with this.
By serving you.
Your mind wandered to a few other times Floyd had looked out for you in his...unique way. You must have zoned out for longer than you thought, as you were brought back to the present as Floyd waved a piece of food in front of you. He looked at you expectantly.
"Well are ya gonna have a taste?"
Your eyes flicked up to his mismatched ones as you offered a mischievous smile.
"Of the food or your lips?"
His eyes widened slightly, before he started giggling, then leaned over the island.
"Well I wouldn't be opposed t'ya tryin' both~"
You were so close to him, your stomach and heart doing flips just as you leaned in and-
"MRAH?! FLOYD???! GET AWAY FROM MY HENCH HUMAN!!"
Possibly the fastest you'd ever witnessed Grim move, he launched himself at Floyd's face, managing to land a kick and effectively move you and Floyd apart.
The food he had offered you plopped unceremoniously onto the counter as Floyd made a spitting noise, and Grim stood protectively, panting, staring Floyd down.
"That's right! Ya better not be scarin' my hench human! You're lucky all you got was a mouthful of fur, I'll light you up next time!!"
After a beat of silence, Floyd started to giggle.
"Ehee~ Seaaaalie, ya sure got some nerve interrupti-"
"Aha, you were hidin' food!! I can't believe you did this, I thought you loved me prefect." Grim's ears folded down, the pout audible in his voice as he scooped up the food that had landed on the counter, oblivious to the now murderous glare Floyd was giving him.
You couldn't help but chuckle, getting up just enough to move closer to Floyd. With the cat distracted and fanboying over the food, it was easier to relinquish Floyd's anger without another interruption. You grabbed his shirt and tugged him to you, grinning.
"I missed out on tasting that bite, but I won't miss out on enjoying you~"
Scarabia
Kalim:
You were just sitting on the front steps of Ramshackle, watching as the sunset painted the sky in beautiful red, orange, pink and purple hues. A slight breeze kept the lingering heat of the day at bay, the only sound you could hear being the slight chirping of birds. Grim was currently, at least supposedly, with Ace and Deuce at Heartslaybul, meaning all three thirds of the braincell were not your responsibility.
God was life always this boring without them around?? Yeah, sure, the peace and quiet could be nice but it felt weird now, where was the drama, the tension, the shenanigans, the tomfoolery?? You rubbed your face with your hands, groaning a bit out loud. Were you seriously so wired to this world's madness now that a moment of peace felt like you were just waiting for something to go wrong?
".....MC?"
Your head shot up, to the voice that was coming from above you.
"Kalim?? What are you doing here?" You smiled, moving to stand up as he descended slightly on his carpet, somewhat dismissing his concerned expression.
"Ah- well um, I was gonna come and ask if you wanted to come to Scarabia tonight for a party! But then I got in trouble with Jamil and he didn't know the party was gonna happen so I didn't want to throw it anymore, but I still wanted to hang out with you! If you're not busy that is. I can take you on a magic carpet ride!"
Oh thank the sevens, someone was going to relieve you of your weird, anxious boredom.
"Scooch over, I'm getting on." There was a lilt of amusement to your voice as you clambered on behind Kalim, wrapping your arms around him, gently resting your cheek against his shoulder. He giggled softly in response, making sure that the two of you rose slowly away from the ground.
"Where'd you wanna go? I can take you over the school, we could go to the field and cheer on the track team, we could even go to the beach! Ah, but if Jamil caught us he might get grumpy, so maybe we should stay on campus."
You hummed softly. "Honestly, I just want company right now. If you just take us to the top of NRC and let us watch the sunset together, that'll be more than enough for me right now."
"I can do that!! Hold on to me, okay??" You nodded a bit against his shoulder, and he took off.
Though he had to speak a bit louder over the rush of wind in your ears, you could hear him perfectly well as he spoke.
"You know, back home, there's a story about this sort of thing, there's even a song! I'll sing it to you if you want!"
"It might be better if you wait until we stop flying-"
"Nonono, part of the whole appeal is singing WHILE flying." He glanced back at you, his puppy dog eyes working their own kind of magic before you silently agreed. His expression lit up immediately as he began to sing.
"I can show you the woAGHOU"
Kalim's hand went to beat on his chest, causing you to yelp as the two of you started to careen forward. You reached forward and tugged up on the magic carpet, narrowly avoiding running into the school and sent the two of you sprawling into the grass instead.
You were glad your hands made contact with the ground first; it made it somewhat easier to help roll Kalim away from eating dirt, and to stop yourself from colliding into his back.
It took a moment for both of you to collect yourselves after you hit the ground, but in less than thirty seconds you were both on your knees, looking at each other. Somehow you managed to ask at the exact same time, "are you okay??!", followed by a beat of silence, and then laughter.
Jamil: (this killed me to write so I'm sorry it's not as good as the other ones/not quite the same)
Jamil had invited you to the Scalding Sands. Rather, Kalim had beat him to the punch, as there was an event going on he wanted you to attend. Jamil had offered to let you come with him a day or two before, seeing as he was supposed to be there early to assist his parents with preparations. As if he needed to entice you further, (and convince Kalim it was a good idea), he offered to give you a tour of the palace.... nobody wanted you to be victim to the expansive maze that the Al-Asim's property was after all.
Well, that was the excuse you both rolled with.
The streets were buzzing with energy, vendors calling out everywhere, sights and smells and sounds of the market filling your senses, but your focus was on something else entirely.
Jamil wasn't a touchy person, but he had been the one to take your hand. His hand held onto yours firmly, leading you with confidence through the bustling streets of Silk City. Despite the errands you were running with him, he insisted on being the one to hold everything. He was also incredibly patient as he stopped anytime you inquired about something.
However, it was him who slowed down upon seeing a small crowd congregate around what you could only assume was some sort of street performer, music playing. He had brushed past most others, but he worked his way through the crowd, seemingly curious to see who was at the center of attention. No sooner had you made it to the front of the crowd that one of the dancers lit up and called out to Jamil, greeting him as if they were old friends.
"Do you know them?"
Jamil had a bit of a mischievous smile on his face. "You could say that."
You quirked your brow as his 'friend(?)' came over, the two of them speaking rapidly in Arabic as they shared a quick hug. Jamil switched back into English, introducing you to his friend.
His friend wore a bit of shit eating smile. "You know Jamil dances, right? Did you ever wonder how he learned?"
"Now hold on, don't go crediting yourself for that, I taught myself."
"If you count flailing like a monkey as dancing, then yes, you did, but as an art? You only got to where you're at because of me."
Jamil tsked and rolled his eyes, waving his friend off, though it was clear it was light hearted.
"You haven't seen me dance in ages."
"Right, I'm sure you've had pleeeenty of time to practice at that fancy college of yours."
You couldn't help but interrupt their bickering by taking everything from Jamil's hands and shoving him forward a bit.
"Just let him show you what he's got."
Both of them looked at you in slight disbelief, but amused.
"MC we really don't have the ti-"
"Are you scared of embarrassing yourself Viper? Come on, if your date says you're as good as you claim you still are, you should have no issue joining us for one song. Just like old times."
His friend could see the gears in both of your heads come to a screeching halt, even if for just a moment. Sure, you had wanted it to be something like that, but hearing it put so bluntly...
You wrapped your arm around Jamil's waist with a shit-eating grin, ignoring the rising heat to your own cheeks.
"My boyfriend plays down his abilities all the time. I hope you're ready to be humbled." Before pushing him into the middle of the ring.
Despite his slightly flustered state, you could have sworn you heard him whisper about how he would get you back for that, a promise you could only hope he would keep.
Pomefiore
Vil:
"I told you to stop moving." His voice, though slightly irritated was just as amused as you struggled to stop laughing.
"But it tickles. Can't I just put it on with my hands?"
An offended gasp left Vil as he tilted your face slightly, brushing on more of the facemask. "No you heathen, we can't just apply it with our hands."
"What if. I washed my hands super super well." His expression left you giggling again as he sighed and pulled the brush away, his faux frustration melting away to a soft smile, shaking his head.
"Sometimes even I struggle to tell when you're just teasing or when you're serious." He chuckled softly, reapplying a bit of product to the brush to continue putting it on your face. You tried not to scrunch your nose, but sevens, he was applying it so lightly it felt weird!
As absorbed as you were in the feeling of the brush, he considered what your reaction might be if he were to kiss you this very moment. He knew that of all the people in the school, he was the only one who had achieved this level of casual intimacy. As good as he was at reading other people's emotions, the nagging anxiety of reading you, specifically, wrong could be the end of the friendship he held so dear. Of course, even if you were to reject him, you were both old enough to be mature about it, but rejection was not something Vil handled well.
He was pulled from his thoughts as he realized just how close he had gotten. Hell, your breathing had hitched at his closeness, eyes wide as your mind raced with possibilities. Vil SO wanted to kiss you in that moment, but his door flung open with a bang, startling the two of you apart. Vil shot the intruder a dirty look.
Epel was out of breath, bent over, pale and wincing as he looked to his housewarden in his P.E uniform, not noticing you there.
"I SHOT ROOK."
Vil's face went from mildly frustrated to near fear for his vice housewarden, until the mans laugh from down the hall echoed into the room.
"Oui. I believe it's nothing major, but you are more versed in healing magic than I am Vil."
Rook came into view, holding an arrow that was firmly lodged into his shoulder, his smile subdued from pain, but genuine.
Vil immediately came over, getting over his initial shock and ire in favour of helping Rook.
You got up from the bed, mostly with the intention of teasing Epel, but he took one glance at you and couldn't help but laugh breathlessly.
"You look like y'got mayo on your face."
"You're about to have disappointment on yours."
"Huh?"
You nodded towards Vil , who evidently didn't feel confident in removing the arrow at the dorm, chiding Rook for coming to him instead of going to the infirmary.
"If that's the talking to Rook's getting, I can only imagine yours."
"....aw shit."
Rook: (insert distressed Sebek emoji I've become far too reliant on on Discord to convey my Feelings because I'm Just Hoping this suffices for the Rook Fans.)
You could hear knocking at the door, light, but insistent. You were slightly annoyed - Grim could open the door by himself...at least he could if he were home. You forgot that you had given him "permission", (AKA, you had begged Vil to let Epel keep him around for a night to give yourself a night to relax), to go to a "sleepover".
So who was knocking at your bedroom door?
You felt a wave of anxiety wash over you, until a soft voice came from beyond the door.
"Mon trickster, I know you are awake. May I come in?"
Your brain needed a moment to buffer before you responded.
"Rook?"
As if there was any question about it, you chided yourself a tiny bit, but Rook took it as an invitation to come in, smiling warmly and waving a bit as he entered the room.
"Bonjour. I was hoping to whisk you away for a mome-"
"What are you doing here??"
Your question was as amused as it was...a little concerned.
"Why didn't you knock at the front door?"
Rook tilted his head a bit, as if he were surprised you were questioning him.
"Ah, I did, but upon not getting a response and knowing you were up, I let myself in. Do not fret, nothing is broken. I wouldn't want to leave you without a reliable lock on your door. However, I do respect your privacy, so I knocked before coming into your bedroom."
He smiled softly as you wondered just how reliable that lock was, before Rook continued.
"As for my presence in our home, I was hoping to treat you to a relaxing night. I know Monsieur Fuzzball is currently occupied."
He fully stepped into the room, and only then did you note the picnic basket in his hand, complete with a blanket on top. The flash of interest didn't go unnoticed by Rook - why would it? He smiled and held it up a little bit.
"These are the leftovers of the food I helped some of the dorm members make, undetected by Vil. I thought we could have a few snacks while we stargaze...then again, I could gaze at the most lovely star I know if we were to stay inside."
A sly smile grew as he winked at you playfully, causing you to look away a little bit.
"So? What do you say my dear?"
Somehow, when you lifted your head again to look at him, he was next to your bed and awaiting your answer with a fond expression.
You couldn't help but push his face away a bit, laughing a little flustered as you got out of bed, causing him to giggle a bit too.
"We can go up. I would love to stargaze with you."
At least, you would have.
Rook had shown you how to get up there, your common sense returning as you remembered just how dilapidated Ramshackle was when you showed up- you hadn't spent nearly as much time fixing up the outside of Ramshackle as you had on the inside. You scooted yourself nervously onto the ledge, just enough to be secure, though Rook reassured you he had done this dozens of times, (he had?), and there was no reason to worry.
Despite his reassurance, he let you stay where you were so he could set up the blanket, walking confidently and lightly across Ramshackle's roof. There was a comfortable silence between the two of you, crickets chirping and the buzz of other insects filling the air, as well as the now familiar creaks and groans of the old house settling beneath you two.
Rook hummed softly, satisfied with the set up and came back to get you, his hand outstretched. He smiled warmly, the moonlight only serving to make his already attractive features more stunning.
"Will you join me for our date, mon tri-"
Just as you reached out for his hand, both of you heard a loud creak. Despite his best efforts, Rook let out a soft, but discernable "Merde" as he fell through Ramshackles roof, laying winded in the attic on his back trying to gather his thoughts.
Obviously concerned, you peeked into the sizeable hole in your roof, peering down at the blond.
"....Are you okay????"
You tried to suppress your laughter, but at his slightly bewildered look, followed by a grin and thumbs up, both of you bubbled into giggles.
He stood up, then reached out towards you.
"I'll catch you. We can continue down here instead my dear."
You smiled and slid your legs over the hole, letting it be future you's problem as you hummed, giving him a cheeky grin.
"Promise? Because I've already fallen for you a hundred times before."
His eyes widened slightly, before smiling a little bit more.
"Then this time, I promise to catch you and never let you fall again, mon amour."
Epel: (this one is different sorry)
You could see him, just barely, peeking through the classroom doors narrow window. The tell tale purple poof of hair was hard to miss.
Evidently, Crewel's class had gotten out a little early, and here you were between Ace and Deuce, listening to Trein drone on about something he already covered. With Passion. You held in a ragged sigh, glancing at the clock on the wall, willing for the seconds to tick by faster.
Finally, the bell rang, Trein's voice being drowned out by the shuffling of bags and students making their way to the door.
In all the hubbub, you had managed to get squished in an Adeuce sandwich as they walked you out the door, Ace's teasing voice lilting in amusement.
"Where ya runnin' off to so fast preeeeefect? Got a special someone waitin' for you?"
Deuce chimed in, though gentler in his tone.
"I saw a certain someone looking at you through the window....mostly 'cus Lucius meowed at him peeking, but-"
You groaned, elbowing them both in the ribs as you saw fit, shaking them off your shoulders. Gods you hated to love them and loved to hate them the little shits. You and Epel were just friends. That was all there was to it. Grumbles and giggles followed behind you from the two of them as you managed to make it out of the classroom.
You were just friends.
....then why did your stomach do a flip when you looked at Epel and he greeted you with that boyish grin of his?
Ignihyde
Idia: (also don't come after me for nobody recognizing Lilia's voice assume he has a voice changer or something idk)
"Brb, my brother needs me for something."
You and Muscle Red responded softly, hearing as "Gloomurai" AKA "Gloomy" AKA Idia Shroud got up from his desk, leaving you and his friend alone.
Now, you only knew it was Idia because you usually would game together in his room, so it wasn't like he didn't know it was you on the other side either, you just had finally had the means to get your own set up and wanted to test it out. Idia and Muscle Red had plans already, but neither of them minded you joining them as you had a couple times before.
But you and Red had never been left together before. And just like IRL, being left with a friends friend left some amount of awkwardness to be had.
You held in a breath of relief as Red spoke up.
"So, how long have you and Gloomy known each other?"
"Just under a year. We go to the same school together."
"Oho? You've met in person then? Forgive me if I'm being invasive, but please do tell, what's he like? We've been online friends for years, I can't help but be a teensy bit curious about the man behind the screen."
You waited a beat. You knew part of the reason that Idia didn't share much about his personal life was because of his reasoning behind not wanting to ever feel too close to the people he connecting with online...yet Red was one of his best friends. And you wouldn't overshare, you could just share your thoughts on him. Besiiiides it wasn't like Idia would hear you gushing about him to his friend, he had left his desk to go help Ortho with something.
"....well...Gloomy is a pretty introverted guy but...as I've gotten to know him better? He can be really sweet, and passionate about the things he loves. He's a little shy and awkward, but I think it's part of his charm. He's also, just. Gorgeous. But don't tell him I said that."
Mischievous laughter came from Red as an audible "Idia dying" sound came through your headphones.
"You know, after being able to know our dear friend, I would have thought you'd have known Gloomurai wears Bluetooth headphones." You felt a little embarrassed as Red chuckled again.
"I told you Gloomy, that they liked you back. You've got no doubt about it now. I'll leave you two lovebirds alone~"
The telltale blip of him disconnecting left the two of you in incredibly awkward silence, until Idia had the guts to ask.
"D...d-do you really think all that?"
Ortho: (platonic, obviously)
"Ah, there you are Prefect, I tried to call and text, I even dropped by Ramshackle to see if you were there, how courteous am I to have sought you out to hand deliver your tasks for the week, aren't I just the best?"
Ortho could all but see the light drain from not only your eyes, but your expression as a whole as Crowley continued to ramble on about his generous nature.
How dare he? This was supposed to be you and him time. You had even less time than Idia to dedicate to hanging out together, because of how hard you worked for the headmage.
Before you really had a chance to acknowledge the headmage, Ortho got in between the two of you, getting in Crowley's face a little bit, floating to ensure the man would see him eye to eye.
"You're interrupting my time with the prefect sir. This is my one and only warning for you to stop."
Crowley took a slight step back, flabbergasted at the boys behaviour before he brushed his outfit down as if he was calming ruffled feathers.
"Well...I really must speak to the prefect Ortho, it's no small matter and you're far too young to underst-"
"I gave you a warning Sir. If it's no small matter, then it's probably your responsibility anyways. Instead of pawning off your less than desirable tasks to the prefect, why don't you think a little harder about what sort of stress that puts them under when they've already dealt with overblots completely unassisted. They've done more than enough for you and the school, and will no longer be at your beck and call, mkay? My brother and I can make sure they get the money they need so they don't have to work for you at all anymore. So now, you know that they won't be doing your dirty work anymore, you and your shadow can go back to your office and be the pathetic mess of a man you are on your own because you've got no friends, no family, and no significant relationships in your life to ease the ache of loneliness. Goodbye."
Without waiting for a response, Ortho grabbed the headmage by the shoulders and turned him away from you, giving him a light push towards the school before returning to your side.
"I know where we can find some really cool rocks, follow me!!"
DIASOMNIA (RIP my braincells, sorry guys)
Malleus: I'm so sorry this man. It's more platonic than anything.
"See that one? It's modeled after Corvus corax, the Common raven. And that gargoyle is similar, though the subtle differences imply it's modeled after Corvus corone, the Carrion crow."
He smiled rather proudly at you, glad to share and show off his knowledge to someone he cared for so deeply.
"What do you think?"
"I think I like the fox grotesque more."
A small 'hm?' left Draconia, a bit of a look of shock on his face until he registered that you were teasing, a playful smile playing over his lips.
"Only you would jest with me so casually Child of Man." He chuckled softly, patting your head. "Thank you for accompanying me today for club hours. I've rather enjoyed having someone else to speak to."
He turned towards you more, gently taking your face in his hand, rubbing your cheek gently with his thumb.
"It's not often I feel as appreciated as I do with you. Thank you, for everything you've do-"
"WAKASAMAAAAA"
Sebek's pathetic bleating drew both of your attention, an almost annoyed sounding huff leaving Malleus as he let go of your face, though stepped closer to you as Silver and Sebek ran up to the both of you.
"Wakasama, we've been looking for you everywhere! We were so worried-"
"We were not..."
"That we may never find you again!!"
"You're so dramatic..." Silver shook his head a bit, sighing.
"Apologies Malleus. Fa- Lilia sent for you. He went to your meeting for you and wants to fill you in."
He wore a slight pout on his lips, but nodded.
"I understand. Thank you Silver." He turned towards you, offering a slight bow. "I'll see you in due time, child of man. Until next time."
Lilia: (a little different, sorry)
"Kehehehe, are you excited prefect?"
You had to refrain from rolling your eyes. Of course of all the people you could have been paired with for home ec. you got Lilia Vanrouge....not that you minded entirely, he was pretty cute.
But being cute didn't get you good grades, and it certainly didn't improve your cooking ability.
You tapped the end of your wooden spoon against his nose.
"I'll be excited if you and I can pull this off successfully. No experimenting with the recipe, okay?"
Lilia sighed dramatically, sticking out his tongue.
"Fine. Ruin my fun. That's fine." He giggled a bit afterwards, scooping the recipe card up just as Crewel placed it down, not giving you so much as a glance at it.
"Alright, you ready? Let me read the ingredients to you."
You gave him a bit of a dirty look, only to be greeted with a wide grin. He took the spoon from your hand, gently booping your nose back.
"Aw come on~ you trust me, don't you? And you already took away my other fun, let me have this!"
Despite your better judgement, you relented.
He kept his promise- everything seemed reasonable as he read it out to you.
"Whisk two cups of AP flour, two and a half teaspoons of baking powder and a pinch of salt in a large bowl."
"Got it."
"Then beat the eggs until aerated, and slowly add the sugar. While you add sugar to the eggs, give me a kiss to give me some sugar too. By the time we're done, the eggs should be triple their size."
"Got- huh"
You turned around, bewildered at what you had heard, to see Lilia's cheeky grin.
"Well prefect, are you gonna follow the recipe card?"
You gave him a playful smile, gently pushing his face away from yours, leaving you both in giggles.
"I'll follow what the card actually says....and if this turns out, maybe I'll give you that kiss."
Silver:
"This is my favourite place to feed the wild rabbits....I know it's not great for them, but they deserve a little treat every once in a while just like everyone else."
Silver's voice was soft as a small group of wild rabbits hopped around the two of you, as if they were pets. The two of you sat under the shade of one of the many apple trees of Night Raven College. Silver used a dagger to expertly cut into the ripe, unbruised apples he had picked out for the rabbits, claiming they deserved better than the fallen fruit.
You watched him, how focused he was, yet how soft he looked under the dappled shadows casted on him from the leaves above. He caught you watching, glancing at you and cracking just the slightest smile as he cut a piece of the apple and handed it to you,
"The grey one is super friendly. You can try feeding it. You'll probably be allowed to pet her too."
You thanked him softly, so as not to startle your furry friends and heeded his advice. You weren't exactly surprised when his advice paid off, though you still let out a soft sound of content as the bunny hopped into your lap, allowing you to pet it gently.
You heard Silver hum softly. "She really likes you. You should come here with me more often."
You couldn't help but smile a little shyly at that. "I would lo-"
"HEY WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING??!!!"
Kalim's piercing voice cut through the quiet, peaceful environment the two of you had, startling all of you, but most of all the rabbits as they scattered and disappeared into the bushes, making Silver sigh softly in disappointment before offering you a small smile.
"We can get them back after. Let me talk to Kalim. I'll be right back." His gaze lingered a moment longer than it should have before he got up. You felt a bit of a funny feeling in your chest as you entertained the thought of him kissing you, trying to erase the thought before he would be able to tell.
Sebek:
"How did you even manage this human?"
Sebek had to bite his tongue, trying to keep his voice down so as to not spook your horse.
Somehow, your boot had slipped all the way through the stirrup, but nothing you or he did got your foot or boot loose enough to pull it back through. He tried to pull your boot off too, but that had just hurt.
You were trying really hard to not laugh. Yes it was inconvenient and uncomfortable, but how you managed to get yourself in this position was as funny to you as it was frustrating to Sebek.
You had asked Riddle for assistance at first, but Silver had called his attention over for something more pressing, so he had appointed Sebek to help you.
Sebek let out a frustrated bellow as yet another attempt was met with no progress, your horse side stepping away from him anxiously. You patted your horse gently and just looked at Sebek apologetically.
"You can just wait til Riddle or Silver can help with magic. It's not like the pain is unbearable."
"No. I was tasked with releasing you from your saddle. I will complete what has been required of me. Excuse me."
He knelt down to undo the saddle from beneath, and you got the hint, trying to move your foot out of the way best you could to let him do so.
He stood back up, and gestured to get you to get your horse to lay down so he could be taller. He offered his arms to you.
"Hold onto me. I'll make sure the saddle comes with you so it doesn't tug on your ankle."
Of course, it was just as your arms wrapped around Sebeks neck that Riddle came back, making a bit of a flustered noise at the sight of the two of you so close to each other.
"What is going on here?!!"
Sebek reeled, ducking his head out from your hands, flushed.
"NOTHING."
You looked rather unamused between the two biggest sticks in the mud you knew and gestured at your foot, still firmly stuck in the stirrups of your saddle.
"I'm still just trying to be granted sweet release."

Peter Pan Donuts is a sacred place.
Or, rather, it was a sacred place—and walking back into the shop now felt awfully strange.
Back when you and Peter first started high school, it had become a tradition to end every Friday with one of the renowned pastry shop’s legendary frosted crullers. You considered it a well-deserved reward for surviving another week of more drama than either of you could stomach, thankful that the weekend was finally upon you and that you could finally breathe without inhaling the reek of the unwashed teenage boys that lined the halls of Midtown.
Peter Pan’s quickly became a haven. A safe place where the two of you could tuck yourselves away at the end of the bar, talking for hours about the teachers you hated and the bullies you hoped would fall from the face of the Earth. There was nothing that you couldn’t talk about, no secrets kept between you and Peter.
Or, at least, none that mattered.
But things changed as time passed, as they so often do.
It started with the inclusion of Ned. You didn’t particularly mind his presence, even if the conversations had begun to shift towards less intimate topics, focusing instead on movies that you all wanted to see or upcoming video games that you would all try to play.
Then came the inclusion of Mj a few months later, after she landed a job at the shop. That was when everything truly changed—when it was no longer you and Peter tucked away at the bar, but you and Ned, left to pick at your food and watch as Peter leaned across the front counter and talked to Mj over her shift.
After a few months of testing every donut on the menu with Ned, you stopped going altogether.
And Peter never even asked why.
“I was surprised to see you texted me,” you quip as you slid onto the free barstool, “what happened to not wanting me to get involved?”
Peter exhales sharply through his nose, and even though his eyes are glued to his phone, you can tell that he was already regretting asking you to meet him here. “I already told you that what I want doesn’t matter.”
And how true that must have been.
There had been nothing kind about his text to you this morning, although there was nothing inherently rude about it either, you supposed. It was simple—meet me at Peter Pan’s asap, need 2 talk—but you could almost sense the begrudging nature with which he had typed it. And, sitting next to him now, you could almost feel it, too.
He didn’t want you here, even if he had been the one to invite you, and you couldn’t help but wonder why he had decided to involve you at all—especially so soon. What had changed in a single night?
Sitting on the barstool to your left, Parker pops his lips. “Well this is fun. I’m not at all uncomfortable right now.”
You turned towards him, acknowledging just how different he looked in the civilian clothes that he donned in place of his suit—black jeans that certainly looked worse for wear and an old Ramone’s t-shirt that you immediately recognized as yours. Oversized on you, the short sleeves clung rather tightly to his well-muscled arms. Did he seriously go through your stuff?!
“Why are you even here?” You ask, perhaps a little sharper than necessary. You weren’t angry that he had gone sifting through the armoire in the spare bedroom, especially since he couldn’t just parade around as Spider-Man all of the time. But he could’ve at least asked. “Shouldn’t one of you be busy patrolling?”
It was hard to tell if the offense on his face was real or feigned, but you didn’t care much either way. “Peter wanted answers about my world, I wanted food,” he shrugs, gesturing at the crème-filled donut in front of him. “And Peter 2’s handling patrol.”
Peter 2—you had almost forgotten about him, the version of Peter that hadn’t wanted to come with Ned and Mj to your apartment last night. As far as you could tell when you woke up this morning, he hadn’t shown up in the middle of the night, either—no trace of Parker or anyone else when you had finally stumbled out of your room to get ready after reading the text from Peter.
You didn’t figure it was really your business where the mystery Peter was, but you were a little surprised to hear that he was still out patrolling. Was he not exhausted?
“Ametaur move getting crème-filled,” you tell him, ignoring everything he said. “Should’ve gone with the frosted vanilla cruller, it’s way better.”
“No way,” he gapes, grabbing the half-eaten pastry and shaking it for emphasis as he said, “this is god-tier, alright? No way anything’s topping it.”
The expression on his face was actually hilarious, his brown doe eyes alight with pure euphoria as he took another bite of the donut. An exaggerated moan slipped his lips, coated with bits of sugar and crème. It was hard not to laugh at him, especially when you knew that was probably his goal—to combat the evident tension between you and Peter.
Chuckling, you lift your hands in mock defense. “Suit yourself, Parker. But if you ever wanna experience true pleasure, then you know what to order.”
Parker looks as if he's about to continue his borderline-lustful tangent about the donut, but Peter spoke up instead, his attention snagging on the name you used.
“Parker?” He echoes in disbelief, letting his phone clatter against the bar.
Peter’s sudden resurgence to the real world left Parker silent, sinking back against his stool and taking another bite.
“What?” Your brow arches, your voice laced with incredulity. “Did you really think I’d keep calling him Peter 2? No offense to Ned, but everything about that feels stupid.”
Peter’s eyes narrow, coupled with a subtle shake of his head that indicates he doesn't care nearly enough to have this conversation right now.
You didn’t care much either, and so you steered the conversation in a more productive direction. “So what is this grand plan of yours?” You ask with a somewhat sarcastic lilt. “And where do I fit into it?”
Another huff of breath escaped his nostrils. “We don’t even have a plan. Not yet,” he reluctantly admits. “But I tried talking to Doctor Strange last night, to see if he had some sort of magical spell or something that would let us go back and fix all of this.”
Your lips press together, nibbling on the skin and pretending you didn’t notice the hidden meaning behind his words. He hadn’t just gone to Doctor Strange to find a way to get rid of the villains now lurking in your world, because if he had, then he wouldn’t have gone specifically seeking out a spell that would let him go back—not just to stop the villains from ever coming here, but to save May, too.
“Did he?”
Peter reached for his cup of iced coffee, if only to occupy his now-fidgeting fingers. “No,” he murmurs, the sound of sloshing ice nearly overpowering him as he swirled the cup. “He didn’t.”
You frown at the tinge of disappointment that snuck through his otherwise even tone, your chest aching. You had to fight against the urge to say I’m sorry, remembering what he had said to you last night—he didn’t want your apologies, nor did he seem to want anyone else's.
In truth, you weren’t sure what Peter wanted; or what you could do to help him.
“Well did he have anything useful?”
He shook his head, lifting the cup to his mouth. “Define useful,” he scoffed, sounding uncharacteristically sharp. He took a sip of his drink, his nose scrunching as soon as the coffee hit his tongue—too bitter.
Despite the coffee’s pale color that indicated it was more cream than coffee, you weren’t surprised that it was still too strong for him. Peter had never truly developed a taste for coffee, only pursuing a caffeine addiction for the sake of combating the exhaustion that came with being Spider-Man. That didn’t mean he had ever grown to like it though, masking the taste with copious amounts of sugar and syrups.
“Something that will keep multiversal villains from tearing our world apart?” You venture half-heartedly, guided by pure instinct and muscle memory as you reached over to take his cup from him, snagging a few packs of sugar from the plastic canister on the bar to0.
“He has a theory,” Peter gives you a tight-lipped smile, born of pure frustration.
“A theory? And he expects us to save the world with this theory?” You ask, a bit more derisive than you would have been if Doctor Strange were around to hear.
Peter scoots closer to you, his voice purposefully low. “Do you remember when I told you about him using the Time Stone before Mr. Stark died? To look through all the different outcomes with Thanos?”
Ripping open the sugar packets and dumping them in his cup, you managed to mask a wince at the mention of Peter’s dead mentor. You only nodded, not trusting your voice to stay steady if you tried for any sort of verbal affirmation.
“Well… when he did that, he thinks that he might have actually seen through the multiverse—he just didn’t know for sure at the time.”
Your forehead creased as you popped the lid back onto his cup, sliding it back towards him. Given his advantage of Spidey-sense, he easily caught it before it could slide too far and end up on the floor—which is what would have definitely happened pre-Spider bite.
“And you don’t consider that to be useful to our current situation?”
“No. I don’t.” Peter answers firmly. “Because at the center of it all—in every universe the Stone showed him—all he saw was you.”
You nearly laugh, your lips curving as you rose a brow at him. “Me?”
Peter gave a nod as he took another sip of his drink. This time, his nose didn’t scrunch.
“But it’s been almost a year since the Avengers took down Thanos,” you reminded him, your stunned amusement beginning to fade into confusion. “If he saw.. Me, when he used the Stone, then why didn’t he say anything until now?”
By no means would you consider yourself to be close with New York’s resident Sorcerer, and so you wouldn’t have expected him to come to you with this knowledge. But Peter—he knew Peter, and he knew that you were Peter’s best friend, and so it didn’t make any sense to you why Doctor Strange chose to wait until now to mention what the Stone had shown him.
Given the aggravated expression Peter wore, it was clear that he was thinking the same. “I don’t know, and trying to get answers out of Doctor Strange that he clearly doesn’t want to give is like pulling teeth.”
“But what does that mean?” You couldn’t stop yourself from pressing further, concern starting to bubble up inside of you. Regardless of his answer—if he had one—you had a feeling you wouldn’t like it. “I don’t get how I’m at the center of every universe.”
Peter blew out a breath, his fingers going back to tapping against the sides of his plastic cup. “Alright, so there are probably well-over a hundred thousand different parallel universes, okay? Some of them are probably super similar to ours, and then there are others that are the complete opposite.”
“O-kay,” you drone, your brows drawing together. You felt the start of a headache coming on as you prepared yourself for the confusing science-talk that was surely about to start pouring out of his mouth.
Perhaps noticing your pained expression, Peter tries to find a way to simplify whatever explanation he was about to use. “Try and look at it like this,” he started, “think of the multiverse as some giant, cosmic loom, alright? Now imagine that each thread on the loom signifies a person. As the loom weaves all of these different threads together, different decisions get made and different actions are taken—and with every choice, a new thread is spun, branching off and creating a variation of the original tapestry.”
“So it’s like you and Parker, right?” You interrupt him, rubbing at your temples. “Same thread, different reality?”
“Exactly! And, technically speaking, that’s how it’s supposed to be. As the loom weaves and alters reality, each thread continuously evolves into something different.” He paused, his fingers finally falling still. “But now imagine that—in the center of all of these branching tapestries—there exists one thread, entirely unbroken and unaltered by this ever-weaving tapestry of existence, okay? A glitch in the cosmic fabric, a constant that’s woven into infinite realities and yet, somehow, remains fundamentally unchanged. How does that work?”
You couldn’t ignore the sense of dread creeping up your spine, nor could you escape the slight wobble in your voice as you said, “It doesn’t sound like it should.”
“You’re right, it shouldn’t work.” Peter confirmed, his expression nearly impossible to read. “But according to Doctor Strange, you are that thread. A constant anomaly that defies every potential law of the multiverse.”
Nausea bubbled in your gut. God, you did not want to deal with this right now!
“And let me guess,” a bitter laugh follows your words, “that’s as much information as he was willing to give, wasn’t it?”
“Yep,” Peter pops his lips, leaning back into his stool. His brows raise slightly in a silent I told you so before he says, “Hey, you’re the one that wanted to be involved, right? Now you’re at the center of everything-”
“I said I wanted to help you,” you correct him sharply. “Not that I wanted to be at the center of Doctor Strange’s weird Time Stones fantasies!”
He only shrugs, barely acknowledging the dirty look you gave him as he plucks his phone off of the counter, clicking on a notification. “Same thing, isn’t it? Either way, you get what you want.”
“What I want?” You echoed, your mouth hung open in disbelief.
“Doctor Strange seems to think that whatever is wrong with you might help us solve all of this. That you might be connected to the multiverse somehow, or that you’re at least immune to it. So yeah, you get what you want. You get to help,” he spat the word out like an insult, too focused on typing something to even notice how rude he sounded.
If it weren’t for the feeling that stomach acid was about to come crawling up your throat, then you might have taken some time to unpack the bitterness in his tone or be hurt by the claim that something was wrong with you—but you didn’t. Even if you had, you weren’t sure that it would have gotten you anywhere.
You weren’t stupid. Peter was wielding his insolence like a shield, purposefully trying to hurt you as an effort to keep you at arms length—and, if you had to guess, Mj and Ned were probably receiving the same treatment right now.
“Well this isn’t exactly what I had in mind when I said I wanted to help,” you admitted, one hand going to rest against your cramping stomach. At least the throbbing in your temples had died down…
Peter only shrugged at you, shoving his phone in his back pocket and rising to his feet. “Too bad,” he told you, offering a smile that most definitely wasn’t genuine. “I’ve gotta go, but make him walk you home, alright? I’ll text you if I hear anything else from Doctor Strange.”
Parker frowned beside you, and whether it was because Peter was speaking about him like he wasn’t here or because of his attitude in general, you couldn’t tell.
“Whoa, hold up! You didn’t even tell me what your plan is until you hear from him!” You argue, reaching for his wrist to keep him from walking past you until he answered.
He pulls his hand back from your grip, but not before your stare snags on the reddish hue that stains his nails—blood. Noticing it only served to make you feel sicker, and to make your concern for Peter grow larger. Was he really still walking around with May’s blood caked under his nails? Has he rested at all since last night?
“Same plan as always,” he told you, your eyes snapping up to meet his, suddenly noticing how rimmed with exhaustion they were. “Stop the bad guys.”
He didn’t leave any time for protests or further questions before turning his back to you and heading straight for the exit. When the little bell on the door chimed as he shoved his way back out onto the streets, you couldn’t stop the worried sigh that escaped your lips.
Peter was an Avenger by every right. He had battled alongside a Norse God and helped take down a literal Titan, and so knew that you shouldn’t have any reason to doubt his capability when it came to taking down whatever villains had crossed into your world.
But it wasn’t that you doubted his ability to survive against them, or even his ability to stop them—you were worried about whether he could handle the weight of it all.
The weight of him placing yet another thing on his shoulders. Another villain, another fight, another burden, another chance to lose someone.
Thinking of that, it suddenly dawned on you that maybe Mj and Ned weren’t getting the same treatment as you. Maybe you were getting the worst of it, if only because now whatever connection you had to the multiverse was just another weight he thought he had to bear, another person he had to worry about protecting.
Guilt flooded your veins, and even as you tried to remind yourself that you hadn’t caused this, you still couldn’t shake the anxious feeling that it was somehow your fault anyway.
“Y’know, I get that this probably isn’t the right time for this,” Parker starts. When you look at him, your attention immediately snags on the dozen donuts that he had ordered while you were talking to Peter. “But I think it’s so cool that you guys have magic in your world!”
He takes another bite of the donut in his hand, powdered sugar falling from his lips as he says, “And these donuts! It’s a tough call, but they might be even better than magic!”
You didn’t know him well enough to be able to tell if he was intentionally trying to lighten the mood or if it was just incidental, but it worked all the same. Laughter poured from your mouth, and it wasn’t until it died down that he said anything else.
“Sooo… That was tense, wasn’t it? Like, it wasn’t just me, right?”
You groan, propping your elbows against the counter and placing your cheeks in your palms. “Was it that noticeable?”
Parker snorts a laugh, stretching an arm past you to reach for Peter’s abandoned coffee. “Oh, yeah. It’s actually painful to be in a room with you two.”
His playful tone made it clear that it was just a joke, but it still made you feel bad. You already didn’t like how hostile things felt between you and Peter, even if it was only one-sided, and to know that others felt it too just made it that much worse.
“Things are just.. Difficult, right now.” You tell him, choosing your words carefully.
“So it hasn’t always been like that with you guys?” He asks, and the delicate arch of his brow made it seem as though he were shocked by the possibility that things had ever been civil between you and Peter.
There was a chance that you had misread his expression though, as it was very quickly wiped away once he took a sip of Peter’s half-drank coffee, gagging as soon as it hit his tongue. “Holy shi-” he started coughing, cutting off the vulgarities that threatened to spill out. “How does he drink this?!” Parker yelped as soon as he could take a full breath, looking utterly disgusted as he shoved the cup back across the bar. “It’s literally just liquid sugar!”
You found it hard to stifle your amusement at his suffering, even as he shot you a teasing scowl for it. “No,” you answer his previous question, trying to ignore his melodramatic display, “believe it or not, things between us actually used to be really… I don’t know—easy, I guess.”
Parker was still smacking his lips to try and rid himself of the cloying aftertaste. “What changed?”
In retrospect, you realized that it probably would have been smarter for you to bite your tongue. To offer him some cheap, cop-out excuse rather than tell him the truth. After all, you already had experience in hiding from the truth and it wasn’t like you really knew Parker, and so lying to him shouldn’t have been a hard task.
Yet, for some reason, you told him the truth anyway.
“Mj happened.”
Parker’s brows furrows. “The girl from last night, right?”
“Yep. That’s the one.”
“Y’know, I don’t really like her all that much,” his words were spoken like a balm, seeking to ease the dejected look etched upon your face, but tinged with enough playful sarcasm for you to know he didn’t actually mean them. “She threw a bread roll at me. A few of them, actually.”
It was hard not to laugh at the thought considering that it was such an Mj thing to do. “Sounds about right,” you crack a smile, although you don't feel particularly happy. “She’s always been slow to trust, especially complete strangers.”
In an odd sort of way, the statement felt like a lie. Not because it actually wasn’t true—because Mj was wary of strangers—but because Parker didn’t quite feel like a stranger in your mind. While last night had been a bit awkward, you now felt like talking to him was effortless, each sentence rolling off your tongue with unnatural ease.
“But she trusts you?” Parker asks, picking a crumb off another one of the pastries and popping it into his mouth.
You sucked in a breath.
“I don’t know,” you answer him, with a bit more honesty than you're comfortable with. “I mean, I know that she used to trust me. But now… I’m not even sure if she likes me anymore.”
His brow snapped up. “What changed?”
Suddenly the truth no longer felt so easy, and you found yourself wishing that you could change the subject altogether. You didn’t want to talk about this—especially not with him, some boy that you had known for less than twenty-four hours.
But you had backed yourself into a corner, and so in an effort to try and satiate whatever interest he had developed in the story you had told, you settled on offering a vague half-truth.
“She started dating Peter,” you tell him simply, putting effort into looking disinterested. “They got together a few months ago and things just… It just got weird, y’know? It’s always awkward when two of your friends get together, I guess. Creates too much drama.”
“Yeah, for sure,” Parker hums, agreeing with you. “Especially when you have feelings for him, right?”
An incomprehensible noise escaped your throat, best categorized as something between a laugh and a cough. Your mouth fell open to try and defend yourself, to try and deny his claim—but he didn’t even give you a chance.
“Oh c’mon!” Parker groans, grinning when he notices the now rosy complexion of your cheeks. “Did you really think I wouldn’t notice? I mean, let’s be real here, alright? That whole sugar thing earlier?” He jutted a finger towards Peter’s abandoned iced coffee, “Was a dead giveaway.”
“You’re insane,” You declare, shaking your head and masking your embarrassment with uncomfortable laughter. “I don’t have feelings for Peter—and even if I did, it wouldn’t matter! Regardless of what it’s done to our friendship, Mj is literally perfect for him and-”
“I think it’s cute,” he interrupts, a delicate smile gracing his lips. Noticing the way your brows furrow, he elaborated, “How much you care about him. And how much you care about her, too, since you’re so willing to pretend like you don’t like him.”
“I’m not pretending-”
Parker jokingly cut his eyes. “Yeah, sureee.”
Blowing a frustrated breath, you push yourself up from the barstool. “Alright, I think it’s time to go home.” You tell him, far too flustered to try and come up with a good defense to his teasing. “You can take the rest of your donuts to go, Bug-boy.”
There was a subtle shift in his demeanor as the taunting nickname fell from your lips, and he almost felt as though his heart had stopped dead in his chest.
“Fine,” Parker yields, rising to his feet and snagging the box of donuts from the bar. “But I really hope that you have your wallet—cause I definitely don’t have a way to pay for these.” He flashed a crooked smile before continuing, “Or we can just run really fast and hope they don’t call the police on us for stealing pastries.”
“I can’t imagine that robbery would be very good for your reputation as a hero,” you chide sarcastically, your own lips curling into a half-smile, “so I’ll pay—but only if you give me every cruller in that box. Deal?”
Parker spares a quick glance down at the dozen box of donuts in his hands. Half of them were already gone, but through the small cellophane window he could see that there were three frosted crullers left. “Deal.”
