actually more on my buck loves gushing with ravi rather than just to ravi agenda. he's like so relieved not only to have someone who understands but someone who won't accuse him of being in love with eddie if he speaks about him a little too long. ravi never even accused him of that in the first place before he got the whole eddie thing which means it's so totally normal to be so !!!! about eddie and that was never a question to ravi so buck is just enjoying his carefree isn't eddie great time. meanwhile ravi is like i'm not in love with eddie but i'm not not in love with him and the only reason probably is that i don't have a chance when buck's here. and he thinks buck is just really enjoying having someone to vent to about being in love with eddie which is so completely the opposite of what buck thinks is going on. and one day ravi is like desperate for a new story he hasn't heard about eddie before and it doesn't even have to be heroic it could be like that he went out to get orange juice for breakfast because buck really wanted it so he goes buck hey buck when did you realise you were in love with eddie like is there a story behind it. and he's soooo excited to share this with buck who is like actually a really good friend now he thinks and oh. buck just threw up everywhere. huh. weird.

*Taps microphone* Buck entering a depressive episode after Bobby's death. Buck putting on a brave face and not going to see Maddie because he knows she'll see right through him. Eddie getting home and waking up one morning to Buck crying silently over the coffee machine. Buck insisting that everything is fine but then something small happens like he burns dinner at the firehouse and all of a sudden he's losing his shit because he just can't save anything or anyone huh. He can try and try and try and it still goes wrong again and again and again.

Epic the Musical fans, I'm gripping you by the shoulders to tell you that Penelope has a sister who she is very very close with in the Odyssey who was named Iphitimene.

Not only a sister, but in each myth she is in, she has a lot of brothers. At least around 4 or 5.

The Potential for Eldest daughter Pen, Middle child Pen, and/or baby sister Pen is ENDLESS!!!

She is also half-naiad at the very least (in most myths) with her mother being a river nymph named Periboea. She can even be 3/4th naiad if you go with the myth of her father, Icarius, being the son of Bateia, another naiad.

Lucy thinking the nightingale song being her mother trying to comfort her broke me

Moreso when the nightingale, that tiny brown common bird, represent nature's purity and virtue through its spontaneous songs. A nightingale singing as Lucy tries to make sense of the chaos around her is almost a call for help to anyone who might hear, so Lucy sees it as her mom trying to tell her that all will pass.

And who could blame Lucy, when such traumatic night led her to have the most tender transfusion up to date made by Quincey out of love. Then, to wake up and come to terms that not only her mother is dead, but her home is not safe anymore.

Her eye then lit on Van Helsing and on me too, and gladdened. Then she looked around the room, and seeing where she was, shuddered; she gave a loud cry, and put her poor thin hands before her pale face.

How could Lucy not cry? From yesterday to today, everything painted down the death of her mother, and the loss of her innocence in the narrative. Even with her wits, her caged thoughts, and her self imposed deprecation Lucy is the paragon of light in the novel, she had a more picturesque way of seeing, and feeling the world that the other characters lacked. It was a matter of difference in motion, and yesterday Lucy lost it all. Not lost, but it was taken away from her in the most outrageous way possible.

Which is why Lucy now feels hopeless.

but she was very low in thought and spirit, and wept silently and weakly for a long time. We told her that either or both of us would now remain with her all the time, and that seemed to comfort her.

It's a miracle, and a very welcomed gesture that Van Helsing, and Jack promised to stay with her permanently (victorian social rules be damned) because what Lucy needs right now is people that truly are there to help her with anything.

When I was sixteen, I worked at Walgreens and had this manager that was nice enough even though she was definitely unhinged, but I wasn't in the Inner Circle being a little cashier grunt and all so I'd only get trickle down info about how her and her absolutely cursed boyfriend who was in and around the store a lot were doing and anyways, I'm just desperately trying to imagine an Inquisition foot soldier who was always in and around Skyhold but never close enough to the intricacies of the core group finding out that their manager finally made it work with that weird guy who was always lurking about ten years later and being like "wait really? That guy?"
