Sorry, I hope you don’t mind if I ramble about LadyLander.

I couldn’t help but think about LadyLander’s makeup artist. And how they have to bend over backwards to do the very natural makeup look. And then slowly their responsibilities increase from make up, to skin care, and then hair. Because no one else is good enough. Even though they have surface level knowledge about any field outside of makeup.

Oh, I could just see the previous makeup being let go after LadyLander did an interview and it was seen on camera that she had lipstick on her teeth.

I think that would make LadyLander spiral in my opinion.

For some reason I can see LadyLander staring into the mirror for hours on in with a forced smile that’s creepy.

And I can see LadyLander walking in on reader changing. “Oh whoopsie! Well we’re both women aren’t we!”

Homelander's appearance is already soooo important to him, and naturally that pressure would be doubled as a woman. you're right about those types of spirals for sure.

the forced smile makes me think of just. how much media training Homelander has endured. perfecting expressions, memorizing the way they feel, adjusting that smile to lessen the appearance wrinkles. you paint a chilling image 😭
