Concept: the reason Andromeda is all dolled up and dressed like a bride during her sacrifice is bc she was originally preparing for her wedding to Phineus, but the wedding is abruptly cut short by the flood and the Cetus running amok and then Cepheus received the prophecy that he has to sacrifice his daughter to appease the gods.

We already have the book Hermes by David Molina where Andromeda was having an affair and was absolutely happy about her husband leaving the house to go go after Hermes.

Also the book Lustful Journey of Perseus, which is somehow worse where Perseus is dating Bellerophon and he only agreed to marry Andromeda because she accepted to be a political pawn and the metaphorical door for the closest he's hiding in.

The book Ariadne by Jennifer Saint had the cretan princess be against the maenads and also claimed that the gods don't care/love mortals

The damage is done

As much as a Greek Mythology Retelling based on the war between Perseus and Dionysus would slap we should remain glad that this is still an underrated myth. You know for a matter of fact that those yaoi fans would turn them into a couple and treat them like Hannigram or Frontman/Seong Gi-hun.

"I cross my heart and hope to die if not" she promised. Was it a bit juvenile to say that? Kinda. But she meant every word. She wouldn't deny AM a chance to see the stars... Or anything else.

"Good. I'll hold you to that." At first, she assumed he was joking, but his tone was deadly serious. Not that he hadn't used that to psych her out before.

This felt a little different though. He was more than intense, staring without the eyes to do it. Somehow.

"Wait, this isn't the right level..." Andromeda looked up from the stack of paper she was carrying. She had been sent to transfer paperwork between her level and three one down. She didn't have access to level C4. Her key card didn't allow her 'out of bounds', so to speak....and yet for some odd reason the elevator had taken her here. She had tried to step back in, but someone on a different level had called the elevator. She sighed, knowing she would have to wait. Andromeda stood waiting and silently counting the floor numbers.

A calm, but sharp voice would interrupt her reverie. "You're lost, aren't you?"

It was the machine she worked on. Allied Mastercomputer. He was a brilliant piece of engineering. Quick witted with a razor sharp tongue. He had several methods of seeing, be it his cameras or motion sensors. It's not a shock she'd been spotted so quickly.
