Scottish writer, Sheila Burnford was born on May 11th 1918.
Sheila was born and educated in Edinburgh then Harrogate College in Yorkshire, England.
She was one of the first women in Scotland to receive her Aviation Certificate. During the Second World War she worked as an ambulance attendant and driver. Sheila married David Burnford, a surgeon in the Royal Navy, and in 1948 the Burnford family emigrated to Canada, settling at Port Arthur in western Ontario.
Sheila loved the great outdoors, particularly walking and hunting. She became friends with local artist Susan Ross. The two shared an interest in the lives of indigenous people and they inspired each other in creative endeavours.
Both Sheila and Susan were members of the Port Arthur Puppetry Club. It was during her time with the Club that Sheila began writing – scripts at first and then articles describing life in Northwestern Ontario for English magazines and newspapers such as Punch and the Glasgow Herald.
Sheila was a great animal lover, although she always said she had a practical view of them. After the death of her Bullterrier, Bill (who had kept her company during the Blitz in the Second World War), she decided to write a book, in part to memorialize him.
That book became The Incredible Journey.
The animals in the book were based on the personalities of her own animals. In addition to Bill, she had a Siamese cat (Simon) and a Golden Labrador (Raimie). She researched incidents similar to the ones in the book and used the area around her home and cottage (Loon Lake) to describe the terrain.
The book was an international bestseller and was eventually translated into more than 17 languages. It would win a number of awards, including the Canadian Library Association Book of the Year for Children.
In 1963 the Walt Disney adaptation of the film was released. The premiere of the film was held in Port Arthur with over 10,000 people lining the streets for the parade preceding the showing. Actors from the film and the film’s director, Fletcher Markle, attended the premiere. Although the book was based in Northwestern Ontario, it was actually filmed in the Toronto area.
In 1964, Sheila published her second book, The Fields of Noon, a collection of essays on life in Northwestern Ontario. It included a number of essays that had previously been published in English periodicals.
In the late 1960s, Sheila and Susan Ross spent a great deal of time visiting native reserves in Northwestern Ontario. Both women had long held interest in native life and found the opportunity to actually learn about native life to be irresistible. While there, Susan Ross drew sketches of the people and Sheila observed. As a result of these visits, Sheila published Without Reserve, using some of Susan Ross’s drawings as illustrations.
Sheila and Susan next travelled up to Pond Inlet and experienced the life of the Inuit, including travelling by dog sled to see the narwhal. From this experience came One Woman’s Arctic. This book also included illustrations by Susan Ross.
The Incredible Journey was acclaimed as a children’s book, even though Sheila herself did not think of it as a children’s book. In 1973, she published an actual children’s book, Mr. Noah and the Second Flood. The story focused on the impact of consumerism and waste on the planet.
Sheila’s last book, Bel Ria: Dog of War, was the story of a little dog caught up in the horrors of the Second World War. In writing the book, she drew upon her own experiences in the Blitz and used research to maintain authenticity.
In 1984 Sheila Burnford died of lung cancer. She had moved back to the UK to live with her second husband, Dr. J.D. Loughborough.
In 2017, a documentary of her life, Long Walk Home: The Incredible Journey of Sheila Burnford, was released by Sheba Films.

A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH FOR TYPE 1 DIABETICS
In 1921, on a shoestring budget at the University of Toronto, several young scientists began investigating a possible treatment for Type 1 diabetes. They found that by grinding up and purifying animal pancreases and then regularly injecting the material, they could treat Type 1 diabetes in dogs.
After first testing the drug for safety by injecting themselves, the scientists treated a 14-year-old boy with Type 1 diabetes. His recovery was almost miraculous, going from death’s door to good health in a matter of weeks.
By 1923, the scientists had won the Nobel prize and the treatment had entered mass production in collaboration with Eli Lilly and Company and the Swedish organisation Nordisk.
The scientists patented the drug and sold it to the University of Toronto for three dollars, (one dollar for each researcher), thinking that this was the best way to ensure that affordable treatment would be available to everyone who needed it.
TYPE 1 DIABETICS TAKEN HOSTAGE BY BIG PHARMA
With a fast forward to the future, fast-acting ‘analog’ insulins were pioneered with Lilly’s ‘HumaLog’ in 1996, but when Novo Nordisk entered the market four years later with its own analog insulin, ‘NovoLog’ prices did not decrease due to competition.
Instead, Lilly and Nordisk followed each other closely in an exponential price increase. When HumaLog was first introduced, it cost $21.
At the time of writing (2019), HumaLog cost [$295.35] per vial and NovoLog costs [$296.27].
The older ‘human’ insulins like ‘Humalin’ are less expensive, but far less effective in treating Type 1 diabetes—yet even these primitive insulins have increased dramatically in price since their introduction in 1982.

Donald Sutherland
Commanding and versatile actor known for his roles in MAS*H, Don’t Look Now and The Hunger Games
Donald Sutherland, who has died aged 88, brought his disturbing and unconventional presence to bear in scores of films after his breakthrough role of Hawkeye Pierce, the army surgeon in Robert Altman’s M*A*S*H (1970), one of the key American films of its period. It marked Sutherland out as an iconoclastic figure of the 60s generation, but he matured into an actor who made a speciality of portraying taciturn, self-doubting characters. This was best illustrated in his portrayal of the tormented parent of a drowned girl, seeking solace in a wintry Venice, in Nicolas Roeg’s Don’t Look Now (1973), and of the weak, nervous, concerned father of a guilt-ridden teenage boy (Timothy Hutton) in Robert Redford’s Ordinary People (1980).
Although Sutherland appeared in the statutory number of stinkers that are many a film actor’s lot, he was always watchable. His career resembled a man walking a tightrope between undemanding parts in potboilers and those in which he was able to take risks, such as the title role in Federico Fellini’s Casanova (1976).
Curiously, it was Sutherland’s ears that first got him noticed, in Robert Aldrich’s The Dirty Dozen (1967). During the shoot, according to Sutherland, “Clint Walker sticks up his hand and says, ‘Mr Aldrich, as a representative of the Native American people, I don’t think it’s appropriate to do this stupid scene where I have to pretend to be a general.’ Aldrich turns and points to me and says, ‘You with the big ears. You do it’ … It changed my life.” In other words, it led to M*A*S*H and stardom.
Sutherland and his M*A*S*H co-star Elliott Gould tried to get Altman fired from the film because they did not think the director knew what he was doing due to his unorthodox methods. In the early days, Sutherland was known to have confrontations with his directors. “What I was trying to do all the time was to impose my thinking,” he remarked some years later. “Now I contribute. I offer. I don’t put my foot down.”
Sutherland, who was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, was a sickly child who battled rheumatic fever, hepatitis and polio. He spent most of his teenage years in Nova Scotia where his father, Frederick, ran a local gas, electricity and bus company; his mother, Dorothy (nee McNichol), was a maths teacher. He attended Bridgewater high school, then graduated from Victoria College, part of the University of Toronto, with a double major in engineering and drama. As a result of a highly praised performance in a college production of James Thurber’s and Elliott Nugent’s The Male Animal, he dropped the idea of becoming an engineer and decided to pursue acting.
With this in mind, he left Canada for the UK in 1957 to study at Lamda (the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), where he was considered too tall and ungainly to get anywhere. However, he gained a year’s work as a stage actor with the Perth repertory company, and appeared in TV series such as The Saint and The Avengers. He was Fortinbras in a 1964 BBC production of Hamlet, shot at Elsinore castle and starring Christopher Plummer. He also appeared at the Criterion theatre in the West End in The Gimmick in 1962.
In 1959 he married Lois Hardwick; they divorced in 1966. Then he married the film producer Shirley Douglas, with whom he had twins, Kiefer and Rachel; they divorced in 1971. Kiefer, who grew up to become a celebrated actor, was named after the producer-writer Warren Kiefer, who put Sutherland in an Italian-made Gothic horror film, The Castle of the Living Dead (1964). Christopher Lee played a necrophile count, while Sutherland doubled as a dim-witted police sergeant and, in drag and heavy makeup, as a witch.
In an earlier era, the gawky Sutherland might not have achieved the stardom that followed the anarchic M*A*S*H, but Hollywood at the time was open for stars with unconventional looks, and Sutherland was much in demand for eccentric roles throughout the 70s.
He was impressive as a moviemaker with “director’s block” in Paul Mazursky’s messy but interesting Alex in Wonderland (1970), which contains a prescient dream sequence in which his titular character meets Fellini. In the same year, Sutherland played a Catholic priest and the object of Geneviève Bujold’s erotic gaze in Act of the Heart; he was the appropriately named Sergeant Oddball, an anachronistic hippy tank commander, in the second world war action-comedy Kelly’s Heroes; and he and Gene Wilder were two pairs of twins in 18th-century France in the broad comedy Start the Revolution Without Me.
Sutherland was at his most laconic, sometimes verging on the soporific, in the title role of Alan J Pakula’s Klute (1971), as a voyeuristic ex-policeman investigating the disappearance of a friend and getting deeply involved with a prostitute, played by Jane Fonda.
Sutherland and Fonda were teamed up again as a couple of misfits in the caper comedy Steelyard Blues (1973). It initially had a limited distribution due mainly to their participation together in the anti-Vietnam war troop show FTA (Fuck the Army), which Sutherland co-directed, co-scripted and co-produced.
Sutherland always made his political views known, although they surfaced only occasionally in his films. In among the many mainstream comedies and thrillers was Roeg’s supernatural drama Don’t Look Now, in which Sutherland and Julie Christie are superb as a couple grieving their dead daughter. Despite the dark subject matter, the film was notable for containing “one of the sexiest love scenes in film history”, according to Scott Tobias in the Guardian, the frank depiction of their love-making coming “like a desert flower poking through concrete”. The actor so admired Roeg that he named another son after him, one of his three sons with the French-Canadian actor Francine Racette, whom he married in 1972.
John Schlesinger’s rambling version of The Day of the Locust (1975) saw Sutherland as a sexually repressed character – called Homer Simpson – who tramples a woman to death in an act of uncontrolled rage. Perhaps Bernardo Bertolucci had that in mind when he cast Sutherland in 1900 (Novecento, 1976), in which he is a broadly caricatured fascist thug who shows his sadism by smashing a cat’s head against a post and bashing a young boy’s brains out. “And I turned down Deliverance and Straw Dogs because of the violence!” Sutherland recalled.
In Fellini’s Casanova, the second of his two bizarre Italian excursions in 1976, Sutherland coldly calculates seduction under his heavily made-up features. The performance, as remarkably stylised as it is, still reveals the suffering soul within the sex machine.
In 1978 he appeared in Claude Chabrol’s Blood Relatives, a made-in-Canada murder mystery with Sutherland playing a Montreal cop investigating the murder of a young woman. More commercial was The Eagle Has Landed (1976), with Sutherland, attempting an Irish accent, as an IRA member supporting the Germans during the second world war, and as a chilling Nazi in Eye of the Needle (1981). Meanwhile, he was the hero of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), who resists the insidious alien menace until the film’s devastating final shot.
In 1981 Sutherland returned to the stage, as Humbert Humbert in a highly anticipated version of Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita, adapted by Edward Albee. It turned out to be a huge flop, running only 12 performances on Broadway. Both Sutherland and Albee played the blame game. “The second act is flawed,” Sutherland said. “Albee was supposed to have rethought it, but he never did.” Albee told reporters that he had scuttled some of his best scenes because they were “too difficult” for Sutherland because “he hasn’t been on stage for 17 years”.
Continuing his film career, Sutherland played a complex and sadistic British officer in Hugh Hudson’s Revolution (1985), and in A Dry White Season (1989) he took the role of an Afrikaner schoolteacher beginning to understand the brutal realities of apartheid. In Oliver Stone’s JFK (1991), he held the screen with an extended monologue as he spilled the conspiracy beans to Kevin Costner’s district attorney hero Jim Garrison.
After having made contact with young audiences in the 70s with offbeat appearances in gross-out pictures The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977) and National Lampoon’s Animal House (1978), the latter as a pot-smoking professor, he was cast as an unconvincing bearded stranger in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992).
On a more adult level were Six Degrees of Separation (1993), in which he played an unfulfilled art dealer; A Time to Kill (1996), as an alcoholic, disbarred lawyer (alongside Kiefer); Without Limits (1998), as an enthusiastic athletics coach; and Space Cowboys (2000), as an elderly pilot. By this time, he was gradually moving into grey-haired character roles, one of the best being his amiable Mr Bennet in Pride and Prejudice (2005).
The Jane Austen novel was also featured in the television series Great Books (1993-2000), to which Sutherland lent his soothing voice as narrator. Other series in which he shone as quasi baddies were Commander in Chief (2005) – as the sexist Republican speaker of the house opposed to the new president (Geena Davis) – and Dirty Sexy Money (2007-09), in which he played a powerful patriarch of a wealthy family.
Sutherland continued to be active well into his 80s, his long grey hair and beard signifying sagacity, whether as a contract killer in The Mechanic, a Roman hero in The Eagle, a nutty retired poetry professor in Man on the Train (all 2011), or a quirky bounty hunter in the western Dawn Rider (2012), bringing more depth to the characters than they deserved. As President Coriolanus Snow, the autocratic ruler of the dystopian country of Panem in The Hunger Games (2012), Sutherland was discovered by a new generation; he went on to reprise the role in three further films in that franchise, beginning with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013).
He played artists in two art-world thrillers by Italian directors: in Giuseppe Tornatore’s Deception, AKA The Best Offer (2013), he was a would-be painter helping to execute multimillion-dollar scams, while in Giuseppe Capotondi’s The Burnt Orange Heresy (2019) he was on the other side of the heist as a reclusive genius targeted by a wealthy and unscrupulous dealer (Mick Jagger).
Aside from James Gray’s science-fiction drama Ad Astra (also 2019), in which he co-starred with Brad Pitt, Sutherland’s best late work was all for television. In Danny Boyle’s mini-series Trust (2018), which covered the same real-life events as Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World, he played J Paul Getty, the oil tycoon whose grandson is kidnapped; while in The Undoing (2020), he was the father of a psychologist (Nicole Kidman), reluctantly putting up bail when her husband (Hugh Grant) is arrested for murder.
For the latter role Sutherland was in the running for a Golden Globe, having already received an honorary Oscar in 2017.
He is survived by Francine and his children, Kiefer, Rachel, Rossif, Angus and Roeg, and by four grandchildren.

In June 2015, Time magazine reported she is gender fluid. She was quoted as stating she "doesn't relate to being boy or girl, and I don't have to have my partner relate to boy or girl." Cyrus and Hemsworth rekindled their relationship in March 2016, and became re-engaged that October. In November 2018, Cyrus revealed on social media that her and Hemsworth's home had burned down in the Woolsey Fire, and expressed devastation for her community and gratitude for the safety of herself, Hemsworth, and their pets. On December 23, Cyrus and Hemsworth married in a private wedding ceremony in their home in Nashville, Tennessee. She felt that her marriage "redefined what it looks like for someone that's a queer person like herself to be in a hetero relationship" though she was "still very sexually attracted to women". Cyrus indicated that the ceremony was "kind of out of character for [her]" because "they have worn rings forever [and] definitely didn't need it in any way". She believed the loss of their home to be the catalyst for getting married, citing that "the timing felt right" and that "no one is promised the next day, or the next, so [she tries] to be 'in the now' as much as possible". On August 10, 2019, Cyrus announced their separation. Eleven days later, Hemsworth filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences". To commemorate her divorce from Hemsworth, Cyrus had a note written to her from Yoko Ono tattooed on her left shoulder blade. On January 28, 2020, it was announced that their divorce had been finalized.

Body Shaming
Cyrus said in March 2020 that she refused to wear a bikini or shorts for two or three years due to body shaming. This was after trolls compared her to a "turkey" after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013.
She was romantically linked with Liam Hemsworth from 2009 to 2013. Three years after their breakup, they got back together in 2016, and Cyrus later revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in October that they are engaged. On December 23, 2018, they married, but split in 2019.

Kirishima's Mystique: Weapon XXX-23

Canada, the great white north, a vast wide little land consisting of regions such as Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec. Currently within the serene wildness of the Canadian rockies, our resident Red Riot and his cotton candy link Alien Queen were having themselves a little camping trip. Nothing said summer fan like gong hiking around a different country as the sturdy and acidic pair were busy setting up shop. Mina busy prepping the picnic spot and gathering up some kindling for a campfire, that is when she wasn’t busy stealing some glances at her man.
Sensually biting her lip as his tanktop did a grand job showing off that pair of gun shows he called his arms. If there was a vet around, she’d have to call about some “sick pythons”, that was for sure, his biceps and biceps pumped and flexed from all that effort and goddamn was it making her thirsty as all fuck. Rubbing her thighs together as she tried to keep her dirty thoughts at bay, at least until they'd finished setting up camp. Pouting adorably as she thought of how lonely she and Kirishima felt without the third wheel of their tricycle.
Mina:"It's still such a bummer Maya couldn't join us on this trip. I mean granted not often she gets to visit home..."*The cotton candy bombshell quipped as she was still feeling a bit incomplete without their shared girlfriend. Maya of course was indeed spending a week or two in her home of Jagua del Toro which did remind Mina of one thing. They definitely had to go their for sure, she just knew that place wasn't just famous for its beaches, but especially the babes. The kind of babes she and Maya knew would get their Riot all nice and riled up....*
Kirishima:"Ah it is what it is, sometimes but hey next time around we might go with her there, right?"*The sturdy hero quipped in response as he continued nearing completion of the tent. Missing the erotic leer Mina shot his way as she began making her way towards him, lust glowing in her golden racoon eyes. Who could blame her when her man was looking so delicious and fuckable, those firm muscles of his in motion as he worked away on setting up their camp. She had to think it wasn't all bad given she and Kirishima could fuck as much as they wanted, loud as they wanted without anyone to bother them but the critters of nature.*
Any further personal musings of thought or conversation dirty or otherwise when they heard some very loud sounds incoming from nearby their way. Sounds of a very telltale nature that implied combat and conflict of a struggle that was very intense. Being of heroic personality of course the red and pink duo knew they had to intervene and go see what the situation was and just their luck that had to be quite a doozy. Upon investigation of course that wound up being proven to be quite the understatement.
But of course how often were you to likely run into some petite but well toned feisty but fierce girl clad in leather swinging pair of duel bladed claws in her hands like a wild animal. Small wonder she was fighting of course given she was going up against a group of misfits from the infamous Brotherhood, one of the most notorious quirk supremacist gangs around. Suffice to say that what was followed was an intense battle to say the least but numbers weren’t a problem when You had a duo like Pinky and Red Riot backing you up. Oh come on, you really think I’m gonna go into details about how the battle went?
Yeah I thought so, we all know what you’re all really here for so let’s get this show on the road, shall we? After the ragtag renegade band of villains were rounded up followed by some questions and statements with local law enforcement, the red and pink duo were soo back in their camp now with the added company of their new friend they'd saved. A young girl by the name of X-23, or Laura as she found most preferred to call her and to say her lifestory was complex and tragic was an understatement. But she wasn't one to dwell on the past, least compared to how she was then compared to now though it could be hard to tell with how calm, composed and stoic she was.

But she proved to be willing to try and socialise and it helped that Kirishima and Mina had a natural friendliness and affability about them that made them easy to like. Laura certainly had to say mina's peppy motor mouth and spunkiness rather reminded her of Jubilee in a way as the trio enjoyed some small talk and a little bit of the natural tranquillity and serenity of nature of course. Soon of course dusk began to make itself known as the Canadian wilderness became bathed in the fading light and shade of the setting sun as the trio enjoyed a little peace and quiet and making some s'mores around the campfire before Kirishima and Mina decided to call it a night but not before offering to set up a spare tent for Laura to enjoy some privacy as well as peace and quiet. Leaving her be to enjoy the campire while it lasted as they ducked into their own tent a few feet away.
Laura of course wasn't clueless or naive as she seemed to the duo and what they were really up to at this very moment. Her enhanced senses could pick up the sounds and scents of what was going on so close yet so far from her in their tent. The slapping of skin on skin, the clapping of asscheeks as Mina struggled to keep her volume down against the relentless assault of pleasure coming from her boyfriend as he danced the oldest dance known to men and woman with her sexy pink self. It was, quite frankly, intoxicating for the young woman as she felt leather clad thighs becoming soaked with sticky nectar flowing from her quivering pussy.
Oh she certainly appreciated their civility and politeness in not wanting to disturb or offend her with their passion and desire but if anything it made her curios. Despite how cool, calm and stoic she seemed, internally was a different story as she felt that innate primal beast within her stirring. The beast within that desired to mate and breed, sensing the presence of a strong, worthy alpha male, an instinct she felt the moment she'd laid eyes on Kirishima and his feats of strength and power from when he and Mina had helped her out earlier today. Hence she saw no lack of logic in her next set of moves to make as she got up from her seat by the weakening campfire and made her way over the lovers' tent.
The closer she got, the more intense the sounds and scents of their erotic mating hit her senses turning her on something fierce, a glowing red blush on her face as she silently panted with husky desire, eyes glowing with rising lust as she approached the tent. Kneeling down as she stealthily, slowly unzipped the entry way and peeked inside to find quite the delightful show happening before her. The sight of Mina mounted atop her chivalrous Himbo cowgirl style as she bounced her bubbly cotton candy pink booty on that shaft of his. Which she could gleam had to have quite the length and girth on it if the rising bump in Mina's stomach was anything to go by, the alien queen sensually biting her lip, perky pink titties bouncing as she caressed her man's washboard abs while he held her hips firmly.
Eijiro of course hadn't yet noticed their sudden voyeur but Mina's lust hazed golden eyes did, sending her a secret sensual smile Laura's way. The goth-like Wolverine clone knowing enough body language to know Mina wasn't just asking if she was enjoying this show but inviting her to join. After all why watch when it'd be better to share the fun together? Laura of course got the hint easily enough as to Mina’s delight, she began to strip down until she was naked as the day she was born.
Kirishima of course was none the wiser until he suddenly found his view of Mina bouncing on his Lil’ Riot suddenly obscured by Laura straddling his face as she sat and parked her toned perky ass atop it. Grinding and rubbing her slit before she let out soft gasps and moans as she felt his tongue respond to lick and lap away at her flowing nectar. Mina's sensual smile widening as she continued to bounce away on her lover's cock, leaning forward to press her lip's to their new sex friend's own. Tongues dancing together in their growing bond of intimacy as the girl most knew as X-23 expressed her gratitude in a way that felt fun and natural for her.
The campfire had long since gone out but the fires of passion in this threesome only continued to burn bright well long into the night as moans and the primal rhythm of skin on skin filled the wild Canadian air. The tent a tangle of limbs shifting and dancing through a variety of positions and combinations of 2 on one to one on one as one third of the kinky group would catch their breaths. Laura or Mina eating one another out as the hard-headed redhead pounded them doggy style or in missionary to Mina fingering herself with erotic delight as she looked on at the female Wolverine getting it deep and hard in a mating press. Laura was clearly no virgin by any stretch but hotdamn if it wasn't clear she hadn't been with someone on the level that Kirishima and his Alien Queen were at, and this was without their resident blue shapeshifting bombshell girlfriend!!

Naturally Mina was making plans to send Maya the details of this illicit little encounter with their lovely new friend, that is once they woke up in the morning of course. Right at the moment was about feeling as good as they possibly can, as Laura herself now watched on as she recovered her stamina. Probing her pussy with her fingers as she looked on at Mina getting it deep and hard while that flexible bubblegum pink bombshell body of hers was held by Kirishima in a full nelson as he knelt on the tent ground. Grunting and groaning as Mina was rocked with orgasms which only skyrocketed as she soon found Laura licking away at their conjoined loins, lust glowing in those cool eyes of hers. Which the horned girl of course found so damn hot....
By the time this little threesome had finally finished, dawn was kicking in as it bathed the wilderness in the radiant glow of sunrise's light. The tent warmly glowing adding to the afterglow shared by the 3 as Laura laid draped atop Kirishima while Mina spooned and hugged her boyfriend's side. Their bodies glistening with sweat and spent juices as Laura held a soft, rare little smile on her face, thinking to herself she needed more than just the one night. Reminding herself that she had come out looking to find herself spiritually and now she was thinking maybe she might be able to do that if she transferred to Japan, especially once she learned which campus Kirishima and Mina went to.
Not long after this unexpected acquaintanceship encounter in Canada, Laura's well known, imfamous father had his clone daughtered texting with enquiries about arranging a transfer or entry into an exchange program for hero schools in Japan. While Maya found herself getting a delightful surprise in the form of a few texts and videos, especially of the sexy variety from her fave Pinky and definitely liking what she saw. Reminding herself she should definitely get a few of her gal pals in Jagua to come meet her girlfriend and especially their boyfriend and ooh some gals in Japan should definitelt come to her little home paradise. The beaches were hot but the dudes and bitches were hotter!!
Sometimes it wasn't easy being a student for a hero school, especially when yours was the generation that had to deal with quirk erasing yakuza bosses, a quirk hoarder with a demon god complex and a nihilistic hand-freak among other things. But other times it made for quite the love life when you found romance especially when going camping somewhere like in some woods in Canada made you get lucky. Yeah a mouthful I know but hey, you know what they say. How sweet it is....

INTRODUCTION
Content marketing has become an essential aspect of modern marketing strategies. From small businesses to large corporations, companies are utilizing content to connect with their target audience and drive business success. In today’s digital age, where consumers are bombarded with advertisements and promotions, content marketing offers a unique approach to engage with customers and build long-lasting relationships.
What is Content Marketing?
At its core, content marketing is the creation and sharing of valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience. It involves using various forms of media such as blogs, videos, social media posts, infographics, podcasts, etc., to provide informative or entertaining content that resonates with your target audience. The goal of content marketing is not to explicitly promote a product or service but rather establish credibility and trust with potential customers.
Why is Content Marketing Important?
The power of content marketing lies in its ability to create meaningful connections between brands and consumers. By providing valuable information or entertainment through your content, you can establish yourself as an industry expert and build trust among your target audience. This trust translates into brand loyalty and increased sales in the long run.
Moreover, traditional advertising methods have become less effective due to the rise of ad blockers and consumer skepticism towards traditional ads. On the other hand, quality content that is genuinely helpful or entertaining can break through this noise and capture the attention of potential customers.
– EXPLANATION OF WHAT CONTENT MARKETING IS
Content marketing is a powerful tool for businesses to attract and engage with their target audience. It involves creating valuable and relevant content that addresses the needs and interests of your target market. This content can take various forms such as blog posts, videos, infographics, social media posts, podcasts, e-books, webinars, and more.
At its core, content marketing is about building trust and credibility with your audience by providing them with valuable information rather than constantly promoting your products or services. It aims to educate and inform rather than sell directly. By consistently delivering high-quality content, businesses can establish themselves as thought leaders in their industry and earn the trust of their potential customers.
One of the key elements of successful content marketing is understanding your target audience. You need to have a clear understanding of who they are, what they care about, where they spend their time online, what kind of content resonates with them, and what motivates them to take action.
Once you have a solid understanding of your target audience, you can create a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with their interests and needs while also supporting your business goals. Your strategy should include defining the types of content you will create (e.g., blog posts vs. videos), the platforms you will use (e.g., website vs. social media), how often you will publish new content, and how you will measure success.
IMPORTANCE AND BENEFITS OF CONTENT MARKETING FOR BUSINESSES
Content marketing has become an essential tool for businesses looking to establish a strong online presence and drive conversions. It involves creating and sharing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined target audience. In today’s digital landscape, where consumers are bombarded with advertisements and promotions, content marketing offers a more subtle approach to building brand awareness and credibility.
The importance of content marketing for businesses cannot be overstated. Here are some key benefits that make it an indispensable part of any marketing strategy:
1. Establishes brand authority and credibility: By consistently publishing high-quality content that addresses the pain points of your target audience, you can position yourself as an expert in your industry. This helps build trust with potential customers, making them more likely to choose your products or services over competitors.
2. Boosts search engine rankings: Search engines like Google value fresh, relevant content when ranking websites. By regularly updating your website with valuable blog posts, videos, infographics, etc., you can improve your search engine optimization (SEO) efforts and increase your visibility online.
3. Drives traffic to your website: Quality content attracts visitors to your website who would not have found you otherwise. When people find helpful information on your site that meets their needs, they are more likely to explore other pages on your site and potentially convert into customers.
IDENTIFYING YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE
Before diving into the world of content marketing, it is crucial to first identify your target audience. The success of your content marketing strategy heavily relies on understanding and catering to the needs and preferences of your target audience. By identifying your target audience, you can create content that resonates with them, captures their attention, and ultimately drives conversions.
In this section, we will discuss some key steps to help you identify your target audience:
1. Define Your Product or Service: The first step in identifying your target audience is to clearly define what product or service you are offering. This will help you understand the type of people who would be interested in what you have to offer.
2. Conduct Market Research: Once you have defined your product or service, it’s time to conduct market research. This involves gathering data about your potential customers such as their demographics (age, gender, income), interests, behavior patterns, and purchase habits.
3. Analyze Your Current Customers: Another helpful way to identify your target audience is by analyzing your current customer base. Look at who is already buying from you and try to find common characteristics among them.
4. Create Buyer Personas: A buyer persona is a semi-fictional representation of your ideal customer based on market research and real data about existing customers. It helps put a face and personality behind the demographics and behaviors of your target audience.
– WHY KNOWING YOUR AUDIENCE IS CRUCIAL FOR SUCCESSFUL CONTENT MARKETING
Knowing your audience is one of the key elements for successful content marketing. In today’s fast-paced digital world, it is not enough to simply create and distribute content without understanding who your target audience is. With so much noise and clutter on the internet, it is crucial for businesses to tailor their content specifically to their target market in order to stand out and effectively communicate their message.
So why exactly is knowing your audience so important for successful content marketing? Let’s delve into some of the reasons:
1. Targeted messaging: By understanding your audience, you can create more targeted and relevant messaging that resonates with them. This means taking into account factors such as demographics, interests, pain points, and values of your target market. By crafting messages that are specific to their needs and preferences, you are more likely to capture their attention and engage them with your content.
2. Higher conversion rates: When your content speaks directly to your audience’s needs or problems, they are more likely to take action on it. This could mean making a purchase, signing up for a service, or subscribing to your newsletter. By addressing their pain points and offering solutions through your content, you establish trust with your audience which can lead to higher conversion rates.
METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE
When it comes to content marketing, one of the key factors for success is understanding and effectively targeting your audience. Without a clear understanding of your target audience, your content may not resonate with them and fail to drive engagement or conversions. This is why it is crucial to use methods that can help you identify and understand your target audience.
1. Conduct thorough market research: The first step in identifying and understanding your target audience is conducting thorough market research. This involves gathering data on demographics, interests, behaviors, preferences and pain points of potential customers. Market research can be done through surveys, focus groups, interviews, or by analyzing data from online tools like Google Analytics.
2. Utilize social media analytics: Social media platforms are a goldmine for valuable insights about your target audience. By using analytics tools provided by various social media platforms such as Facebook Insights or Twitter Analytics, you can gain valuable information about your followers such as their age, gender, location, interests and more.
3. Monitor website traffic: Your website visitors can also provide valuable insights into your target audience. Tools like Google Analytics can track the behavior of visitors on your website including pages they visit most frequently, time spent on each page and their journey before leaving the site. This information can help you understand what type of content resonates with them.
SETTING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
In order to have a successful content marketing strategy, it is crucial to set clear and specific goals and objectives. These will serve as the foundation for your entire content marketing plan and guide you towards achieving success.
1. Identify Your Overall Marketing Objectives: The first step in setting goals for your content marketing is to identify your overall marketing objectives. This could include increasing brand awareness, generating leads, driving website traffic, or boosting sales. Having a clear understanding of what you want to achieve through your content will help you create more targeted and effective campaigns.
2. Make Your Goals SMART: Once you have identified your overall objectives, it is important to make them SMART – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound. This will give you a clear roadmap for what needs to be done and when it should be accomplished by.
3. Define Your Target Audience: In order for your content marketing efforts to be effective, they need to resonate with your target audience. Take the time to define who your ideal customers are – their age, interests, pain points, etc. This will help you create content that speaks directly to them and encourages engagement.
– ESTABLISHING CLEAR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES FOR YOUR CONTENT MARKETING STRATEGY
When it comes to content marketing, having a clear set of goals and objectives is crucial for creating an effective strategy. Without a solid understanding of what you want to achieve with your content, it can be difficult to measure success and make necessary adjustments. In this section, we will discuss the importance of establishing clear goals and objectives for your content marketing strategy and how to do so effectively.
1. Define Your Target Audience: The first step in setting up any successful marketing strategy is identifying your target audience. This includes understanding their demographics, interests, pain points, and behaviors. By clearly defining your target audience, you can create content that resonates with them and addresses their specific needs.
2. Identify Your Objectives: Once you have a clear understanding of who you are targeting with your content, it’s time to establish the objectives you want to achieve through your content marketing efforts. These objectives could include increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic or leads, improving customer engagement and retention, or showcasing thought leadership within your industry.
3. Set SMART Goals: A great way to ensure that your goals are realistic and achievable is by following the SMART criteria – Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound. This means setting specific targets such as increasing website traffic by 20% in the next six months or generating 50 new leads per month through content.
– HOW TO MEASURE SUCCESS AND TRACK PROGRESS TOWARDS YOUR GOALS
Measuring success and tracking progress towards your goals is a crucial aspect of any content marketing strategy. Without proper tracking, it can be difficult to determine if your efforts are effective or if you need to make adjustments. In this section, we will discuss some key steps for measuring success and tracking progress towards your content marketing goals.
1. Determine Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The first step in measuring success is to identify the key metrics that will help you track progress towards your goals. These metrics, also known as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), should align with your overall business objectives and provide insight into the performance of your content marketing efforts.
Some common KPIs for content marketing include website traffic, conversion rates, email subscribers, social media engagement, and lead generation. Depending on your specific goals, you may have different KPIs that are more relevant to your business.
2. Set Realistic Goals
Before you can measure success, you need to establish clear and realistic goals for your content marketing strategy. These goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound (SMART).
For example, if one of your main objectives is to increase website traffic through content marketing by 20% in the next six months, this goal meets all the criteria of being SMART. Having well-defined goals will not only help you focus on what matters but also make it easier to track progress towards achieving them.

This could include industry insights, how-to guides, informative articles or case studies.
3. Use Engaging Formats Content comes in various formats such as text, images, videos, infographics etc., and using different formats can make your content more engaging and appealing to different types of audiences. Excerpt from this story from The Revelator:
Thirty minutes’ drive outside northern Canada’s largest city lies one of its best-kept secrets.
The Yukon Wildlife Preserve spans more than 700 acres and features 12 iconic Yukon species in their natural habitat: wood bison, mountain goat, woodland caribou, mule deer, muskox, red fox, thinhorn sheep, moose, elk, Canada lynx, arctic ground squirrel, and arctic fox. It has a long history of rehabilitating injured animals and breeding rare species, and it also serves as a critical stopover and monitoring station for migratory birds.
The site, which celebrates its 20th anniversary as a preserve in 2024, dates back to the 1960s and a man the Canadian Broadcasting Company once called “one of Yukon’s most colorful characters.”
Founder Danny Nowlan was a former forest ranger and preeminent falconer who grew up skipping school in favor of trapping animals and selling their pelts. In 1967 he purchased the property north of Whitehorse, “determined to build not a zoo, but a showcase for northern species in their natural habitat,” the Yukon Times wrote.
Over the next 35 years, Nowlan and his wife would turn the empty property into what they termed a “game farm,” although they didn’t raise animals for hunting or trapping, as the term typically implies. They raised and sold animals to zoos and game farms throughout Canada and the United States and used the earnings to build a wildlife rehabilitation center. As the years went on, they offered educational tours to allow visitors to see native species in large, semi-wild habitats.
Among the many species the Nowlans raised, in custom-built breeding pens and an avian hospital, were peregrine falcons and other birds of prey. The falcons raised there were either sold — using the proceeds to mitigate the poaching of wild populations — or rewilded as nearby populations declined.
Their conservation efforts garnered a national spotlight, and notoriety, when the couple were swept up in a falcon-trafficking sting, arrested, and charged with laundering wild falcons to Arab royalty. Depending on the telling, Nowlan and his wife were either ruthless masterminds who had found a way to finance their conservation habits by trafficking the very birds they were protecting or arrested without merit.
All the falcons were seized. After three years of a trial that at the time was the longest and most expensive in Yukon history, and the Nowlans’ near-financial ruin, they were acquitted of all charges.
When Nowlan and his wife retired in 2001, they put the site up for sale. Members of the community began advocating for the property to become a public facility, and in 2004 they succeeded.
The site is now owned by the Yukon government and operated by the nonprofit organization formed by those neighbors, the Yukon Wildlife Preserve Operating Society. It received accreditation from the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums in 2012, joining the ranks of the Toronto Zoo and the Vancouver Aquarium.

Starting to make proper references for my OCs, starting with my shovelhead-ish fledgeling for an upcoming V5 Chronicle, who I've already fallen victim to the brainrot for.
She was studying veterinary medicine at Toronto University when her Sire murdered, Embraced, and buried her in a shallow grave.
Our Storyteller made our Sires and decided on the circumstances of our character's Embrace for this chronicle. All we really know about hers right now is that it (confirmed It/Its like the Eldest wannabe it is) thought she was delicious and wanted more.
She's been on the run ever since, with her Sire leaving taunting, threatening notes whenever she starts to feel safe. Aside from the occasional Kindred, she has almost exclusively had her ghouled rats for company. Her mental state has further degraded because of all this, but she loves her rats like her own children.
She doesn't know Vicissitude yet, currently having more of a focus on Animalism, but she'll make a beautifully horrifying monster one of these nights, provided she doesn't get eaten again.

how did you get into working with animal materials? I’ve been wanting to work with a pelt for a while but have no idea where to start
Both my parents are artists and my dad worked with bones in his studio practice pretty heavily. My mom used to collect roadkill and then my dad would boil the flesh off in a big pot in our backyard. The first bones I worked with were ones I pulled out of a big fruit bowl on my mom's dining room table. After that, I started using furs and horns and eventually antique taxidermy once I had a budget that allowed for it.
If you live in America or Canada, I have a lot of good resources for you if you want to get into working with animal materials! You kinda just have to jump in, although I would do some cursory research about animal laws in your region- For example, I live in California which has extremely restrictive laws about what kind of animal products can be bought or sold, but when I lived in Kentucky, there were virtually no restrictions. America in general is pretty restrictive, but there are loopholes depending on the age/origin of the animal material. Europe and the UK are a lot more loosey goosey.
If you're looking for good sites to buy stuff, my usual recommendations are Moscow Hide and Fur, a company out of Idaho who I really like and have worked with a lot, and Skullstore.CA who are based in Toronto, although they sell a lot more than just animal products. I like that they have an "available worldwide" section on their website.
If you're just starting out, I would try to search for "craft grade" pelts- I.E. slightly damaged products that aren't being sold for professional use- on Etsy and Ebay, although I much prefer etsy for buying animal products. Rabbit, raccoon, and deer are gonna be the cheapest and probably most cost effective.
If you want to buy bird pelts, the best place to look is on fly fishing websites, because you can buy whole pheasants and starlings (usually without the heads or feet) for like $10, but they're sometimes in kind of a funky position and sometimes are a little stinky because they're just gonna be used to make ties so they're not tanned very carefully.
In general, I would look out for animals native to your country/region to avoid any mess ups (although reputable sellers won't sell you anything they can't ship), and look initially for craft or B grade products until you can figure out what exactly it is you want to use.
I also would suggest Matuska Taxidermy as my favorite company that sells supplies for working with animal materials- they're really nice and very helpful and pretty reasonably priced.
I'm also happy to answer any other questions you have- it's a weird world to penetrate initially.

Oh, I hope this story has a happy ending…
Sounds like a fun story, I’d buy tickets*
Oh, I think I remember Arle telling me about the fake! She’s pretty scary
I wouldn’t be reluctant. Saving them shows my superiority, and I get to work with my Darling Prince!
I’m captured?
As I mentioned, I don’t know Amitie. I only know what the anons have told me. I’ve no quarrel with her. And I’ve never heard of this “Sig”. I wasn’t exactly close with Schezo, however I’ve heard rumors he and my fake have gotten quite close, so taking them both may be in my interest. Thank you for the idea
