I'm going to continue on focusing on my current focusses but I think I'm getting to a point where I want to take a new look at eternal gales and maybe rework some things I think. I feel like there's a lot of stuff that I kept around from the original that just doesn't rly have a reason to be a thing in the current version of the story, and I think it would be good to take an axe to especially a lot of outdated worldbuilding stuff and rebuild it from the ground up, which will likely involve at least a few characters being redesigned at some point. I'm definitely too fixated on nuggets and the toy guys rn to do it right now, but I'm excited to get around to that eventually, I feel like I understand what I want most of the cast to be like now and I wanna rebuild the story a bit with those visions more in mind

#rat rambles #oc posting #eternal gales #as far as the plot goes things probably won't change much this is mostly abt worldbuilding and characters #mainly dodie because while I'm still not sure how much I wanna rework her I do definitely want to tweak some things #basically she has little reason to be nonhuman in any way or at least in the way she is #Im still not entirely sure how I wanna fix that rn but I definitely want to redesign her at some point #her character is generally fine its just that shes a big example of some of the concepts behind her being very clearly from a different #version of this story back when the worldbuilding was completely different #pulling that trigger has been smth Ive been hesitant to do for a long time because it has unfortunate implications for the snake triplets #but Ill cross that bridge when I get there #the snake triplets Are in need of development either way so Ill have to figure out what to do with them sooner or later either way #they're not being scrapped or anything theyre very important but how they fit in worldbuilding wise has been a big problem for years #I can easily hand wave it but I feel like I need to stop running away from coming up with real reasons eventually #and the other big character that I wanna rework is mason for reasons I think I've previously mentioned #I think that basically everyone else is fine but I definitely do still wanna look over them with a more critical eye as well #I also need to draw them more again my art style has shifted a lot over the years and I probably need to adjust some of their designs #but yeah I don't wanna force myself to hard shift to working on eternal gales rn but I wanna make myself the promise that Ill get to it
