Hi
If you wanna ramble about any headcanons about HW or albw uhh go ahead
(For me preferably something with ravio, but talk about whatever you want)
Hello!
One of my favorite HW hcs of all time is that Marin stays in the end. She was brought into existence-she was made real-when she was dragged into the time war. She can’t go back to her own time because she doesn’t exist in her own time. Well, she can’t go back into the time she was pulled from. She can “return” to the Link’s Awakening timeline, but she can’t go back to Koholint. She has no home to return to. And it would be kinda awkward to show up to her Link’s doorstep I think. She feels like she belongs in the HW time more than her own.
Anyways, Ravio time. I hc that he became a monstrous fighter during HW, along with the rest of the characters who fought in the war. He had the most improvement overall compared to the others, based on how much of a not-fighter he was at the start. Once he returns to his time, I’d like to think he shows off his skills a bit to Hilda, Zelda, and Link, by just one-shoting a bunch of like-likes and moblins and stuff. Just bonks them once with his shiny red hammer and pockets the rupees.
Oh and I picture HW having some crazy inflation. Everything’s super expensive, so it was hard for most of the time crew to even buy a piece of bread. On the flip side, it also meant that they could sell things for an immense amount of money. They became filthy rich 🙌 especially Ravio, he does not know what to do with so much money.
#fever answered#isasan347#hw au#hw ravio#hw marin#hw hc#also for that one ask I haven’t answered yet. I think I’m just going to respond to it with a doodle and some words lol#been struggling to write for some reason#just dont#dont look at all the stuff I just wrote ;-^-

Spider spectre I’m interested. And love ourple
okay okay. so.
spectre spider is my spider sona, and so far what ive got is:
River (she/her) is a college student who is interested in cryptids and stuff, so when she suddenly discovers she has spider powers? what better thing to do than to base her Spider identity on a pre-existing cryptid?
so, in her world, The Spectre (????) is a known cryptid that has a ghostly figure. it doesnt speak, it simply shows up before tragedy strikes. it doesnt interact. it just stares. and then it disappears.
River decides to use this as the base for her own identity. Spectre-Spider (any pronouns) is a spider-person with a mostly pale purple suit, and a cape made of mist. the misty cape can be manipulated to look cool, but its just for aesthetics. the hood is plain cloth. but because of the cape and hood (the cape can glow btw dont. dont ask how idk.) Spectre-Spider looks just like the ghostly figure seen before tragedies.
Spectre-Spider shows up at crime scenes, uses as little force as necessary, doesnt speak unless required, and then leaves. he doesnt quip, he just silently does their job, and then leaves.
Spectre-Spider is seen as something of a cryptid himself too, considering it just.. acts like The Spectre, but with the added "actually doing something about it".
the fun thing is? The Spectre is an actual person. i havent figured out their specific details yet but theyre gonna be another person, and River just didnt fuckin know, and stole thier look. The Spectre is fine with it tho bc like. Spidey isnt doing anything bad, so its not a big deal.
the character im talking about, btw.
small design details: those are knee braces. the eyes have faint pupils because i thought it would be really creepy if the eyes look pure black from afar and then Spectre-Spider gets in your face and theres some absolutely horrifying pupils staring into your soul.
#oc tag#ravio rants#sorry if this is incoherent im very tired.#feel free to ask for more details about stuff!!#not described

Hey, I'm just wondering do you have a favorite Legend of Zelda character besides Link?
YES YES I HAVE, THANKS FOR ASKING. /INHALES I really, really, really, really like Revali, not just because I'm that guy who likes the character everyone else hates, lol, but because I realized how the English (and spanish too) translation completely destroys his character and makes him just an arrogant, mean an annoying bird when that Is not the case in his original dialogues. Once I read the correct translations I realized that his character is much more than that and I kinda related to him. A frustrated teenager whose insecurity turned him into a proud Rito trying to protect himself. I could yap about Revali but overall I think he is a very interesting character and makes me kinda sad that in tears of the kingdom he got NOTHING, anyway the only good thing is that all his merch and stuff is cheaper because everyone else hates him.
Cool vid about him: https://youtu.be/8_CaYcxKGyk?si=EI-wyGYV3A4-kood I also really love Mipha, no words needed for her. AND RAVIO, RAVIO RAVIOOO I LOVE HIMM, I am very normal about him and anyone in my server can confirm lol.

Hyrule warriors is playing master hide and seek lol (and somehow it is working)
A thing that is hilarious about Hyrule warriors is the fact that warriors and his troops are literally running through different timelines
Like that gotta draw attention to them
So fanfic prompt : where literally every second person in the chain heard of warriors at some point
But not knowing what was going on
And it’s the weirdest shit ever
Like you telling me that the little community of skyloft wasn’t curious about the literal army of people they never saw running across their old town square
By that point the people of skyloft already descended but would be hilarious if some random guy wanted to fly around with his loftwing for a bit
Just to see everything go down but nobody believed him when he returned home and reported that out of a big portal hundreds of armed knights run out and they broke into the sacred temple and awoke the master sword spirit again and the sword demon ghirahim was also back
And they used pumpkin soup to lure the wind spirit into moving the islands to create bridges
And a random guy who could turn into a Dragon was also there (no joke that is Hyrule warriors gameplay and lore at its finest )
Obviously the other knights immediately follow along alarmed only for them to end up in an empty skyloft with no such things in sight (the army moved already)
Then sky heard that bullshit and told the guy to get lost because Fi is already resting and he should stop making stuff up for no reason
Sky talking about how he had to fight the imprisoned
That is until he heard wars talk about his adventure which is when he really regretted everything
Wars just tells him he did the same and asks how sky defeated it (both used canons and attacked the toes lol)
All while Sky is freaking out internally (no joke you fight like everything and everyone from all other games)
How could an entire army and the imprisoned fighting go unnoticed like that from skyloft entire knights
Like how could that happen
Time and wind get dropped into the conflict when Cia opens more portals but at least no fight happens in their Hyrules
Darunia and Ruto are from ocarina of time so their conflict could have happened during the time that link spend taking a powerboat for seven years (the goron soldiers literally are from another timeline and they are chill about it )
Midna was in the twilight realm and the fighting takes place in the twilight realm so that obviously would not be noticeable for twilight
Ravio and Marin don’t get the entire hyrulean army in their timeline (they fight in wars' timeline as well )
Would be hilarious if Ravio told Legend about everything that happened so legend was like “wait , you are that other links Ravio was talking about”
Hyrule warriors is a delicious mess and I love it

Can we have some hcs or facts about mmau legend please? Or anyone else you'd like to do!
ofc ofc
- He’s a political science major, and he has absolutely no idea what he wants to do with that he didn’t think he’d be going to college in the first place so he just picked something and now he’s dreading graduating because he has no clue what the fuck to do
- Hyrule is a good friend of his from high school (Legend’s inability to fucking hear is where Hyrule’s nickname comes from) and when they got into the same college they decided to share a dorm room and it worked out so good for them that they decided to keep living together off campus. Hilariously enough, their dorm room was right next to War and Sky’s, and Legend would get so annoyed by War that prompted him to move out but now he lives directly underneath him and that’s arguably worse because he hears War jumping and falling all the goddamn time. When he gets REALLY fed up with him he’ll smack the ceiling and spam him voice messages begging him to shut the fuck up
- He’s trans and his legal chosen name is Link but like Ravio is the only one who knows this (because he swiped Legend’s credit card at the coffee shop where they both work when Legend bought a drink and he caught a quick glimpse at it). ‘Legend’ is what he went by for a chosen name when he was first figuring out his gender stuff because its an arguably genderless name, and he does like it as a nickname so he introduced himself to his friends that way and never bothered to tell them his real one. NOW its turned into a bit, because his friends dont know his real name and LEGEND gets to laugh his ass off knowing he too is Link
- He lived with his uncle for a long time and when he legally changed his name and gender markers on all his papers, he took his uncle’s last name because that was who raised him. His uncle is the closest thing he’s ever had to a real father
- 100% the mother fucker who gives himself a new haircut at 3 am because he had a mental breakdown, but he’ll also dye his hair too. Naturally he’s very strawberry blond, and his favorite color is pink so just throwing pink dye on his already warm toned hair does work quite nicely. He’s really good at cutting and coloring hair at this point, like really good at it, so he also will dye Sky’s hair
- He’s autistic and one of his long term hyperfixations has been monster high. He collects the dolls and his favorite is Operetta (he also really likes Draculaura). Sky, Ravio, and Hyrule know SO much about monster high because Legend will just tell them so much shit and they’re curious about it and ask good questions. Those three would never buy him one of the dolls he’s trying to collect because they simply don’t know which one is the right one and they dont wanna get him the wrong thing, but for his birthday they do give him money so that he can buy the right one for himself (he has them displayed on a shelf and it’s his pride and joy if anything happened to that collection he wouldn’t have time to take measures into his own hands hed just spontaneously combust and thatd be the end of him)
- he’s an absolute sweetheart, he loves helping people and he’s real kind, but his resting face makes him look a little like he’s just constantly annoyed and his alt sense of style has made older people who come into the coffee mutter “kids these days…” under their breath. (he loves his platform boots and his skirts, and also his ripped jeans. you will have to pry those articles of clothing out of his cold dead hands.) since he’s autistic he just sometimes also struggles with his tone and his facial expressions and sometimes he just comes off as really flat and dry but he’s genuinely having a good time and he’s thrilled to be there, trust
- He and Sky have a lil system going where on days that they work the same hours and get off at like 5-6, Legend will drive Sky home (since they live in the same building just one floor apart) and Sky will have Legend over for dinner. Also any time Sky stress cooks too much food (because cooking and baking helps keep him calm and destress) Legend and Hyrule are the first to get invited over to get a nice fresh meal. NO ONE says no when Sky puts “free food” in the group chat because its Free Food cooked by someone who’s conscious of any allergies or food restrictions you might have, but also Sky has never NOT made something absolutely fucking banger and restaurant worthy

Hey Miry what are some fun (or maybe angsty) headcanons you have for the boys, including Chain?
Hmmmm 🤔 ok let me think
Sky: I know most people headcanon Warriors as the field medic, but I feel Sky is also versed in first aids and is really good at it, he has excellent bedside manner. Like the knight academy probably taught him all about it, so the 3 medics of the gang are warriors, hyrule and him. I also believe he has an impeccable stitch technique, like barely leaves scars at all. Really dexterous with his hands too, thanks to his wood crafting and harp playing, he's really good with them hands lmao.
Four: he's a blacksmith sure, and knows a lot about making weapons and maintaining them, but I like to believe he's also really good and making stuff out of leather. Like he knows how to make leather belts and pouches for the weapons his grandpa makes or leather clothes as protection in battle. Idk just a very crafty little guy that offers the entire deal aka a weapon and the leather belts to carry it, all in one service hehe
Time: I like to believe he lost his eye in a very mundane non heroic way, like maybe he fell off a rowdy horse and landed in the worst way possible or a farm centric accident. He makes up different stories about how he lost it, every time someone asks, he changes it, some stories are batshit insane and some others are super normal. He actually has told the real way he lost the eye in between the fake stories, but no one believes him. He thinks it's hilarious btw.
Twilight: I've mentioned before that I headcanon him to be a very sensitive guy, like small things can make him tear up aka a baby animal absolutely makes him want to start sobbing lmao. I like to believe he gossips and talks a lot with his epona as wolfie, like when you're in wolf form in twilight princess you can talk to animals and epona is so sweet with him when you talk to her, they are soulmates man. The guys do something dumb and he turns into wolfie just to walk to epona like "can u believe those guys??" Epona knows everything tbh like he tells her everything, she's the only one who truly knows his woes over losing midna.
Wind: I love to believe the little guy can legit control the winds, like the wind waker is a way for him to channel his magic, but he can control the wind unconsciously, too. When he gets really mad, the winds pick up speeds around him, or if he's happy, a gentle breeze circles around him, etc. His hair is always blowing in the breeze even when he's inside doors, and there's no wind. It just does that.
Legend: Excellent gardener, has a talent for growing plants, flowers, and trees. They flourish under his care. Extremely particular about soil and water and shadow/light for his plants, he not only has an apple orchard, but also grows veggies and rare flowers. Ravio maintains his garden under extreme rules and guidelines lmao ravio is not allowed to sell the apples or veggies from legend's garden, but legend encourages rav to use them for cooking instead.
Hyrule: disney princess aka animals love him lmao typical guy who befriends every single creature he meets, he could pacify a bear if he wants to. His fae part is what makes him have such an affinity with nature in general, I see him as the elves from LOTR who can feel and communicate with trees and they guide him. It's why he never uses maps, he doesn't need them.
Wild: using LOTR as my base for headcanons again lol but I see him like aragorn in the sense that aragorn is a human who was raised by elves so he feels a strong connection to elf culture because of it. I picture wild to be the same, but with the zoras, since he was childhood friends with mipha, we can imply he spent A LOT of time in zora's domain as a child. He is way more versed in zora customs, language, holidays, etc, than the hylian ones. It's also why I feel the older zora are so pissed off with him in botw, like they saw him as one of their own for so long, utter betrayal that he didn't protect their princess (mipha) and failed them all lol he has some zora mannerism in the sense that sometimes, he eats fish raw LMAO when he absentmindedly ate one in front of everyone the first time everyone was shocked for a while lmao
Warriors: absolute nervous wreck, always riddled with anxiety, really low self-esteem, is probably screaming 24/7 inside his head at all times, but is EXCEPTIONAL at faking it, like fake it til you make it is his way of life lmao he exudes over confidence and is always worried about his looks as a way to hide how much of a mess he truly is. Time & Wind has seen him at his worst and know that he's a great actor, which helps him cause he can stop pretending around them for a while
And now my link lmao
Chain: All bark, no bite. He is ironic and sarcastic and shows himself as a tough guy, but he's actually a sweetheart, and things get to him pretty easily. He learned pretty early on than carrying his heart on his sleeve is a really bad idea around the Bounty Hunter guild, since soft nice guys don't last long, so he replies to hurtful comments with sarcasm and a tough attitude, when in reality he's really hurt lmao he also jokes to cope, he'd rather throw a joke or two at you than really open up and talk about his feelings.
#miry's ask box#lu headcanons#+ chain#though if he is my character is he really a headcanon 🤔#more like canon then right hehe

I just though of something, if necromancer Hyrule ever brings the others back will the be like how legend is mentally or would they actually be themselves and talk Hyrule out of his lonely desperation? And do the Zelda(s) in his timeline know he’s doing this? Have they ever tried talking him out of it? And does Legend feel pain from his decaying body or does he not have the function to feel pain anymore?
And for your childhood friends au does Link/young Legend meet young Hilda? And what was her reaction? And does young Hilda ever meet young Zelda/Fable, and how did Ravio even get picked up by the royal family in Lorule??(or will that spoil any ravio lore you have for this au?)
(Sorry if someone’s has asked any of these and sorry if these bother you ;-; )
(Sorry there’s a lot of questions I’ve just had this stuff on my mind for a long time and can’t keep them in anymore ;-; )
If Hyrule wakes up the others they'd be in a similar state legend is in (and worse off probably) because the Rulie cant do a complete revival since it requires his life in exchange. Like he needs to die to perfectly revive someone– a life for a life (and it has to be his)
The Zeldas dont know about his shenanigains. All they know is that he was depressed for a year (each visit he appeared worse and worse) they tried to make him stay put in the castle for his own good but monsters attacks increase the longer he's there. The princesses cant refute Hyrule's reason for needing to go (for the safety of the people)
Since their hero started doing 'archeology' he's been happier! Seems like reading about his brothers and visiting sites they might've been laid to rest in is giving him closure. Good for him!
Ol' Legend can still feel pain but cant feel pain of his body decaying, it just happens. Like how you dont feel your nails and hair grow.
Legend in the childhood friends au dosent meet Hilda till albw happens. The whole thing happens in a short bursts during alttp so Fable hasnt met Hilda either (cuz she's hiding in the sanctuary/kidnapped)
Ravio was selling magical items he fixed (at absurd prices) a high ranking person from the royal court noticed his wares and how good they are. A (begrudging) talk with the master artificer later and Ravio is accepted as (forced to be) an apprentice
and no worries! Your questions arent a bother at all ^^)/
#I'm just really bad at awnsering asks ndbdbdbdbd#CHF Ravio would rather do his own thing than be an apprentice and follow some old man's teachings#he realises the things the master artificer teaches are pretty important and good to know actually#necromancer hyrule#childhood friends au#my ramblings#ask

HII YOUR ART IS THE TASTIEST THING EVER AND EVERY TIME U POST I ASCEND TO ANOTHER REALM OF EXISTENCE
and!! What tloz headcanons have u been thinking abt lately? If u wanna talk about some brainworms :D
THANK YOUUUU !! ^_^ it seems as though you found my hidden message of wanting to talk about my hcs ,, smirks well well well
There’s so many I think about every day ehhhh which ones do I even pick , I think I’ll go w the ones my last post showcased mostly? Which would be my tfh hc, uhmm .. was gonna talk about sheikxruto but I’ll do that in another ask..!
(Putting it under here vv bc kinda long lol)
Triforce hero but it’s Mural, Wolf and Mage: A while ago I was brainstorming w two friends about tfh and they really liked my idea that the 3 guys in the game were 3 links from the lm instead of Mural + copies of mural or mural + two random other guys, and together we chose Wolf and Mage! Tfh would be happening simultaneously to hw, hw being the reason wolf and mage are in murals world for it..! For mural it still would just be his normal timeline, having it after albw.
It’d be before the lm for all 3 so they don’t know each other at all and then get to meet again later yay! It’s not a super serious hc and just fun ^_^ i don’t remember why wolf got the emo haircut
They call each other Red Green and Blue during tfh I’d think ??
Some random small ones I like:
- at the end of hw Mask gives Linkle his Bremen Mask! She has and cherishes it all the years up until the lm where they meet again ^_^
- Malon and Sailor are related , just with really really much time between them
- Marin goes to Sailors era w him and Tetra after hw
- Ravio started to put a lot of research and money into magic after albw to figure out how to create portals between Hyrule and Lorule again ! (Which he succeeded in like, a few months later) ,, when the lm happens he and Mural are chilling together and he’s experimenting w some magic stuff and then Mural , for different reasons, gets ripped away and Ravio straight up thinks it’s his fault bc he was fucking around and found out lol
- Bunny writes letters to Marin about whatever currently bothers her, mostly about the yearning 🙄 she’s also btw a bard (idk if I’ve talked about this on the blog) and travels the land to spread music that come from her adventures,, especially Marin’s song yk the drill
- Bunny meets Ralph during the lm (which is b4 ooa so they’re strangers) by falling on him and breaking his right arm
- mural, rift, sunder, and mage all know the ballad of the wind fish because of bunny spreading and making it popular in her era! Marin herself was able to teach Mask, Captain, Sailor and Linkle the song during hw!! So a lotta links know it ^.^ Captain is tone deaf af tho so he can’t sing it. By the time it’s Sunders era the song has become a popular children’s lullaby :)))
- Sprout is missing two teeth currently (milk teeth that fell out)
- when Sunder and Zelda are 6-7 Zelda sneaks away into castle town where she meets link and they spend a few hours hanging out and having fun! Zelda at that time has bangs that keep falling into his eyes so Link gifts him her favorite blue hairclips that Zelda wears to this day ! (T4t Zelink if anyone’s confused about the pronouns)
- speaking of them after botw they have a little cucco den next to their house with 3 coccos that Clavia takes care of when they’re out of town
- Mural has a pet Remlit named Rupoor
- I MUSTVE mentioned this b4 but I can’t remember so I might repeat myself ,, Dawn has narcolepsy
- Picori idolizes the hell out of the hero of the sky, has been his biggest fan ever since he was a kid
- Mask has a childish fondness of bugs, other random things he loves are fishing and cheese
- mask has a super light dialect,,,, likeee the kokiri do speak hylian but just oh so slightly different (also way more somber yk) bc usually groups thatre separate from other people speaking a language won’t speak with the exact same dialect yk ,, Also would make him seem stranger bc he speaks hylian but there’s just something very VERY slightly different about how he pronounces things! Maybe he has some different words for things
- if sailor is approached from the right (can’t see bc missing eye) he can tell bc the wind tells him
- Captain always carries hidden weapons with him, like a knife in his boots or one under his pillow when he sleeps as examples
- Sailor once broke Captains nose in a play fist fight during hw
THATS ENOUGH FOR EVER ..

I've debated with myself several times in asking this. So if asking isn't okay, you can disregard this if you'd like to. I have a favor to ask. I have been having a really hard time recently and well... if the writing muse is there, could you do Legend comfort Hyrule in the Oprea vse. It doesn't have to be big and it could be over something silly.
Okay, I tried my best!
I'm sorry if it's not as fluffy as maybe you were hoping for but this is actually the first time I'm writing Legend and Hyrule interacting while they're both conscious in... a while. I gave it my best shot though, given the limitations of a modern world and whatnot.
If you want more fluff though, or even just other stuff, never hesitate to ask! It might take me a couple days (like this one did) but I am always happy to put in the effort for my readers <3
I hope you enjoy, Tayashia!
~
It’s just a little thing really, not even that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, and honestly, Hyrule’s not sure why he’s so upset by it.
Growing up in the system gets you used to a lot of things. Spending time on the streets gets you used to far more, but somehow a mere form of address has managed to get under his skin, and all the more so because it’s never said to his face.
“Strays” he’s heard the Cast call them. It’s not everyone, but a good number of the Crew, apparently, fall under the name. At first he’d just thought it was him, the kid who got tugged in off the literal streets to work here, with no prior experience and pity clearly the cause, even if Legend will never own to it. It bothered him to hear it, but given how precarious his situation is, Hyrule had resolved to keep his head down and ignore it. It isn’t easy, and his pride, however little he still had left, protests it exceedingly, but it is what it is and he’d made his peace with that.
Or, well, he thought he had.
And then he finds out it isn’t just him.
Ravio, who’s always a warm and bubbly presence on their workroom, who’s always friendly and understanding, gets called it too, he hears it. It’s Warriors who says it, chatting in a break while reading a new script with Dusk and Artemis. Hyrule didn’t mean to be listening, but he’d been passing the room on his way to grab something for Legend when he’d heard it.
“- very cagey, it makes me wonder.” It was Artemis, whatever had come before left unknown to his ears, but her fellow diva’s answer had rung quite clearly.
“That’s how vet’s strays are, Arty, I wouldn’t worry too much. Ravio’ll come around in time, I'm sure.”
He’d stopped for a moment in his steps, a copy of the script in his hands and quickly creasing. He’d thought it was just him. He could stand it if it was just him. He could handle a few words spoken behind his back, but if it’s Ravio too? Ravio who’s happy to answer any question asked and always bouncing and orbiting around Legend like he’s some sort of quietly shining moon to the vet’s more fiery sun? That Ravio? The one who makes him feel even just the slightest bit safer in this strange new world, lingering close whenever Legend has to stray off to tend something alone, who’s friendly to everyone, although admittedly, somewhat timid outside of his own work-space?
The thought that someone would want to degrade such a person to nothing more than a stray bothers him. It’s like they think he doesn’t belong! And while Hyrule is quite aware that he doesn’t himself, there’s no doubt in his mind that the dark-haired Lolian does. Still, he keeps quiet about it. He’s the new guy, a stray himself, and definitely lower on the totem pole than the opera’s poster boy.
And then he finds out it’s more of them.
Twilight, who’s quiet himself but always warm, who’s big enough to send Hyrule‘s every warning bell screaming but is somehow the most gentle person he’s ever met, is referred to with that name as well; a stray.
Flora, who’s voice sounds of money but who’s hands are always streaking black from grime and grease, coveralls a sharp contradiction to her high-town accent, gets the name too.
Wild, with his easy banter and unassuming manner, bright smile despite his deformed features and easy, care-free laughter, is given the same.
It’s all frustrating and it eats away at him, but the real kicker comes when he’s arranging some props for rehearsal and overhears the Cast chattering. Somebody’s absent, called out from work or sick, or whatever sorts of nonsense that Cast can get away with. He’s not sure who it is, but he gets the impression, as he listens (because Legend told him to keep his ears open, to learn, to watch, to soak it up and ask questions whenever he likes, because that’s how he’ll get to know anything of this world) he hears someone offer a suggestion to their permanently scowling director.
“Why not ask Legend to fill in, Time? I’m sure the opera’s favorite stray knows the part.” It’s said so easy, and while he’s heard them call others that before, this is both the first time he hears them call Legend- the guy who gave him a chance, who helped him onto his feet, who saved his ass- that name, and it’s the first time he’s heard them say it when they know the person in question can hear them. Because the vet is standing right there on that stage, putting in the final tweaks to a set-piece with Twi’s help, and that means he can hear their every word.
Hyrule has to fight to not slam down the props he’s holding, and even then he only manages because he’d seen how hard both Legend and Ravio had been working on them; crafting them from scratch, last minute, because the originals had apparently taken damage in storage and were no longer fit for opening night. It wouldn’t feel right to punish the two of them because he’s upset, and honestly, when he hears Legend answer, he almost wonders if he’s over-reacting.
“Pretty boy, if you want to see me in a dress that bad, just say it to my face instead of trying to get Time to force me.” There’s a scuff of feet, some sort of shifting and- knowing the pink-haired teen- he gets the impression that the guy’s turned around to face the cast. “Also, Sun’s downstairs, and I can guarantee she can fill in for rehearsal today, so if you’ll excuse me-” a creak, something being hefted, no doubt the toolbox that was out earlier, “-I’ve got the back of house to keep running.”
Theres no anger in the vet’s voice, no upset at all. It’s just the normal flippant tone he takes with the divas and which they turn back on him. Hyrule’s still not sure if it’s antagonistic or playful, but still, his boss seems unbothered. So why is he upset?
Except he is. He is and he hates the disregard, the dismissal, the way they say it.
It’s one thing if it’s him. He came off the streets and, yeah, okay, maybe he’s a bit flighty, maybe he’s more like a stray dog brought home in their minds than anything else. Sure, that hurts, that bothers him just a bit, but it’s not enough to make him want to say anything. Hearing the people who’ve been the kindest to him, who’ve been the warmest and most helpful, who are that way to everyone and not just him, treated the same way? No. No, he’s not okay with that.
It must show too. He doesn’t mean to let it, but apparently something bleeds through because sometime a day or so later, sitting over the workbench and helping to clean a few things from the back room, he finds himself fixed under a pair of dark eyes.
Warriors had passed a moment ago, so he must have moved, or shifted, or otherwise changed, because seconds ago, Legend was just humming quietly to himself as he worked, but the moment the diva is gone, the humming is too, and when Hyrule looks up, he finds his gaze is caught and held with an odd sort of intensity.
It’s not his first time thinking it, but he finds himself wondering, once more, why Legend’s always in the back of house rather than out on a stage.
“What was that?”
“What was what?” Suddenly, the candlesticks he’s touching up seem ever so heavy, and much as he’d like to pretend there’s a spot on them that he needs to busy himself with, that would require being able to tear his eyes away from under the gaze of the vet’s own.
A short nod sends pastel hair flopping in a gesture towards the diva, even as Legend’s own hands remain working, deftly, at polishing the silver he’s holding. “You tensed, a lot. Did Pretty Boy do something?”
It’s like he’s entirely unaware, or, perhaps, never thought about it. When Hyrule thinks on that even a second though, it does rather seem that these things don’t spring up overnight; he wonders how long everyone’s been being called that for them to not even notice anymore. He wonders if they’ve said anything previously and just learned to be quiet since.
He wonders if saying anything himself will help at all.
Legend keeps staring as he wonders, and it’s almost unnerving because the guy hardly even blinks.
“It’s...”
And there’s a blink, slow, almost catlike, as his boss’s hands still there work for a moment.
“It’s nothing.”
Up arches a brow, dark in contrast to light hair. “Really? Because I don’t think ‘nothing would make you tense up like that.”
Hyrule doesn’t answer, just fumbles to start working again, dropping his gaze with a bit of effort and trying to scrub away at the candlestick again. Man, he wishes he had a tooth-brush for this instead of a dust-cloth. Styla’s demands for historical accuracy are going to result in a lot of grime still caught in the detailed little designs of the thing. “Are these real silver?”
“Yes,” Legend’s hands start working too, again. “Heirloom pieces apparently. Donated seven years ago by a patron and now used expressly for our performances of Les Misérables.” He even does the accent thing, and it makes Hyrule wonder just how much time the guy spends around Styla that he can do it that well; can he speak Hytopian too? “Infrequent use makes them stand out better to the audience than if we dropped them in every candle-lit scene ever. Besides, they’re a pain to clean.”
He grunts his agreement, huffing right after as he stares at the silver before him. His reflection stares back, distorted and twisted by the intricate patterns on the thing.
“Harder still if you’re not focused.”
It’s pointed, and maybe that makes him start again, slightly, glancing up and finding he’s fixed under that stare again. It’s the same look Legend turns on torn garments and damaged props, unfinished set pieces and fraying ropes: the look of trying to find a problem and fix it. That’s the way he is, Hyrule’s noticed, and it’s not the first time he’s found himself as the one turned under that look, although he’s also not the only person who gets it either. Legend’s a fixer, a person who repairs and tends and spends hours focusing on how to reverse damage done, and either that’s bled into his personal life, or his work life is just an outlet for it. Either way, knowing it’s not just him who’s a project in those eyes makes it much less upsetting than being a stray to the eyes of the Cast.
He drops his own gaze again, maybe moves his polishing cloth a bit more roughly than he should now that he knows he’s holding a priceless piece. “I’ll do better.”
“If something happened-”
“He didn’t do anything to me.”
The frown deepens, a pinch to a freckled face that ages the other more than it should. “To you? Someone else? Look, Wars is usually a stand-up guy, give him shit though I do, and if he did something, I’m sure he didn’t mean anything by it. Still, if we ignore it, then we can’t fix it, and it’ll just-”
He can almost sense the metaphor that’ll come with that, the comparison to some broken object to give visualization to the problem, and while Hyrule would normall like to avoid interrupting his employer, or otherwise ignore what he’s saying, he’s been learning rather quickly that in opera, that’s the only way to get heard sometimes. The whole of Cast and Crew both talk over each other all the time when they have something to say, and even if he is new, he thinks this one time won’t hurt, especially given who he’s talking to.
“He didn’t do anything,” he informs the other, heaving on a breath and trying to stop himself frowning now that he’s actually thinking about it. It’s hard though, and something hot curls inside him when he turns his mind to the matter. “I just...”
There’s silence at the table, cloths still and hands more-so. The opera goes on about them, Wild’s voice carrying back from the stage even as Fable answers back sweetly, Ravio muttering to himself and Styla as he flutters about, and the costume master huffing back in broken Hylian with her mouth all full of pins. They’re all very much there, and yet they feel distant, like the worktable is suddenly its own domain for a moment; separate from the rest and unreachable by motion or word.
“Doesn’t it bother you?” He finally asks aloud, raising his head to meet the stare still bearing down on him, although it stutters briefly and whatever is seen in his own. “You’ve been here a long time, yet, they still talk about you like.... like you’re- they still call you a stray.”
Legend’s not a person of many faces, he’s found. Typically, a resting scowl or look of intense focus touches his features, although a smirk or crooked smile sometimes slips in here or there too. Now though, he finds himself met with a startled look, and the sight of it is nearly enough to twist his own features into the same, because he’d expected Legend to- well- he's not sure really but it wasn't that. “That’s what’s eating you?”
“So you have noticed.”
Violet blink, nearly flutter, like something’s stalling behind them and making the guy’s expressions fritz out like one of Four and Flora’s lighting set-ups. “Well, yeah, but-” the candlestick in gnarled hands clatters some as it’s set to the table, and for a second it really does look like he’s somehow managed to short-out the other’s brain. “That’s...”
“The divas all use it, some of the other Cast too. Only on those of us who do the rougher work, and-”
“Now hold on,” a hand raises, Legend’s staring down at the table though, “it’s not just crew. You won’t hear it much because, well.... you won’t hear it much, but Dusk is a stray too.”
Now it’s his turn to short circuit. “What?”
Legend nods, dropping his work altogether and ploughing a hand through his hair, leaving streaks of polish and black grease in the already messy mop of it. “Shit, okay, so-” and then he cuts himself off with a look, a frown, and dark eyes flicker about for a moment before falling as the vet’s voice raises. “Time check, anyone?”
“Two twenty-five,” Ravio calls back, Styla echoing in what’s probably her own mother-tongue, athough still muffled around her pins.
“Two twenty-five and seven seconds.” He does not expect to hear Time’s voice answer back, especially as close as it does, and it startles him somewhat, has him spinning about to see where the man stands in the doorway to the workroom, leant against the frame with one brow arched.
Legernd nods, not phased at all or apparently weired out by the down to the second answer he’d just recieved. “Great. Rule and I are gonna take a break. Coffee?”
It takes him a moment to realize that last word was meant for him, and it’s only because the other pauses halfway out of his chair, staring at him, that he does at all. “Oh, uh... sure?”
And that’s how, ten minutes later, they’re across the street at a small bistro, Hyrule sitting in a booth as Legend grabs them some coffee from the counter.
They could have stayed at the opera. There’s a coffee machine in the break-room that most, if not all, of the cast use. The only exception being Four and Flora who have their own private pot in the control room, a thing that he’d learned quickly is off limits (although, technically, the whole room is as well) and probably lethal. The break room does tend to be bustling at any given time though. Cast and Crew aren’t paid by the hour, apparently, and so that means that, as long as work is done, no one cares overmuch if they’re taking a moment to chatter away over food or drink in any part of the opera that’s not directly in the way of somebody else. So perhaps their current arrangement is more for privacy than anything.
Or, well, it could be because Legend doesn’t like the break-room coffee or something. Who knows.
What he does know is he’s hardly got time to finish that thought before there’s a steaming mug being held before his face, and when he finally works out the thought that he’s supposed to take it, Legend’s already sliding into the spot across from him at the table.
“Darjeeling, extra sugar and a bit of honey.”
Suddenly Hyrule feels very warm indeed and he hasn’t even drunk a sip of the stuff. “How-”
“You never drink coffee and I heard you telling Rav you like tea better. Also, everyone knows you have a sweet-tooth. So, tea. But I’m not buying anyone leaf-water, so you’re drinking real tea.”
“Mint is real tea.”
“Mint is leaf water and it tastes like green. Nobody should drink that stuff unless they’re sick or losing weight, neither of which you should be.” Legend huffs, sipping on his own mug, the contents of which Hyrule can’t begin to guess, but it’s much lighter than normal coffee.
His own mug feels warm in his hands, nice against the chill that still lingers over the world, even in mid-afternoon, and he sips from it cautiously. It’s hot enough to burn, even on just a single sip, but it tastes nice. Very nice actually. “What kind of tea again?”
“Darjeeling,” and Legend’s face softens just the slightest bit, more a smirk than a scowl, but there’s something about his eyes that softens too, like bleeding watercolors rather than rough crystal as they usually are. “We keep some in the breakroom too, so help yourself in future.”
He will be.
“Now,” the vet’s mug finds the table, steam curling up from it to caress his features, softening those too, despite the new creases forming as he regards Hyrule again. “About the stray thing.”
Right.
There’s still oil and grease and dust streaked in Legend’s hair as the guy draws his hand through it, pushing it back only for it to flutter down again over his face, but there’s no effort made to truly keep it back. “It started with Twi, I guess.”
Hyrule nods, curling his hands around his mug and listening closely.
“Time and Lullaby apparently found him working in some diner, ages ago. He was about our age, barely making it, fresh outta the system and struggling with a kid.”
He didn’t mean to interrupt but the words burst out of him “Twilight has a kid?”
Legend blinks at him again, expression unreadable. “....yes.”
“Huh,” he feels like he’s missing something here, like Legend thinks he’s missing something, so he just lifts his tea to blow on it. “Cool.”
Another blink, and then a brief shake of the head that feels somewhat dismissive, and then the other continues, toying with his own cup as he does. “Sort of a single parent deal. Not great, honestly, and he was having a time of it. Hard to balance a sickly baby and a job, especially when you can’t get a sitter, and he got fired for it. Time found out and offered him a place.”
“Like you did with me.”
Legend shrugs, but doesn’t disagree. “Time’s big on nicknames, believe it or not. Twi’s is ‘pup’, though I can’t say why. Something about him reminding Time of a lost puppy, or maybe some in-joke I never learned about. Whatever the cause, Cast and Crew caught on and started calling him Time’s stray pup,” a shrug, “they meant nothing by it, really. That generation of Crew were just like that, with everyone, and, in the end, it stuck; Twilight was Time’s stray pup brought into the opera, and well, I ended up similar.”
“Really?”
Legend shifts, squirms almost, in his seat. “I came to the opera as a baby. Basically born and raised to it. Since my guardian worked there, I came along- again, childcare is hard to find. To them, I was another wee stray brought in and brought up there.”
There’s a pause where the only sound to be heard is the bustle of the barista and the vet before him sipping his drink, and Hyrule takes the cue to do the same, finding his tea somewhat cooled now. It’s even better now that he can properly taste it and not be burned.
“It became a thing. Time finds people who need work, need help, and he brings them in. Some stay, some don’t, but the name stuck. It’s not a word meant to degrade, more just tease the old man.” A snort. “He plays like he’s some tough guy, but he’s just a big softie.”
That, Hyrule finds hard to believe. Time is easily the most intimidating man in the opera. The only reason he’s not the most intimidating person there is because Lullaby is worse, with her clicking shoes and the way she stares over her glasses rim at people. The fact that she spends most days behind closed doors only lends to it; she’s rarely seen and thus more unexpected. At least with Time, you know he’s somewhere on the stage or in the rehearsal rooms, stepping in and out to check over Cast and Crew respectively and keep track of what is where. He has no clue how Legend thinks ‘softie’ when he looks at the man, big, powerful, and missing an eye for reasons nobody seems willing to explain, or perhaps don’t know at all, but he doesn’t say anything about that, just sips his tea.
“For a while, it was just Time,” Legend continues. “He’d bring in whatever person was tuggin’ on his heart strings and try to help ‘em out. The name started floating around, but the reason they use it more around Time than around the strays themselves is because, well, it’s a way of teasing him. They’re ribbing the old man for being soft-hearted when he pretends he’s some big scary guy, reminding him that they don’t believe the act.”
“But Time didn’t bring me in, you did.”
A flush colors freckled cheeks. “Yeah, well, now they use it the same on me.” Soft pink starts darkening as the words continue, and the vet’s hands on his mug start whitening as he grips tighter, gaze down, ears back: embarrassed, Hyrule startles to realize. “When I came back to the opera, things were... different. It’s hard slipping back, and I honestly can’t. Anyone who knew me before thought maybe I was just...having a phase or some shit, so they tease me when I show that I still have feelings, like when I try to help folks.” A shrug, but there’s no attempt to meet his eyes. “Guess I learned too much from Time, but people need jobs and we need workers, so it makes sense to offer.”
“Does it make sense to help them find living conditions and personally help them move in?” And maybe he’s teasing a bit himself, but he can’t help it.
Legend rolls his eyes, bright red now. “We want our crew capable of showing up to work! Not freezing to death in some condemned dump! Who else was gonna make sure you got all your stuff out before it got stolen?”
The impulse to point out that it was never stolen when he was working a previous job springs up, but Hyrule dismisses it. Legend’s red enough in the face as is.
“Point is,” the other huffs, avoiding looking at him, “everyone just thinks I’m taking after Time, so they’re reusing the old teases. If that bugs you, it’s fine to say something. Heck, if I wasn’t a toddler when they started, it might have bugged me too!”
“Does it now?” He can’t help but ask, head tilting on one side as he considers his young boss.
“Not really.” Legend shrugs again. “If anything.....” and that pensive look is back, flush not a bit faded beside it, and the vet’s voice is softer when it sounds again. “Honestly, it’s not bad. For me- can't speak for you -it's a name that means I belong there. I got brought in, wanted, and I’m here to stay. Most Cast or Crew leave after a while; they retire, they move on to bigger opportunities, they find work somewhere else. Strays though? Most of us stay, because it’s a place we’re given a chance we wouldn’t have otherwise. The ones that do leave are usually the ones that didn’t really want the chance anyway, or who only wanted it long enough to get elsewhere, to go home or get out of Crown City.” After so long with Legend avoiding him, Hyrule almost startles with violet watercolors find him again. “It’s like a badge. We’re wanted, we belong, and there’s someone who cared enough to bring us in.”
Oh.
“Granted,” and there’s the head toss, the huff, the dismissal of feelings that’s so very Legend, “it changes. There’s generations now, I guess. And maybe there were some before Time started it. So yeah, you’ll hear some called ‘Time’s strays’, and you guys in the back are mostly gonna be linked to me, since I brought you on, but it’s not cruelly.”
“I see.”
“If it bothers you though,” grease-stained fingers toy with delicate china, “I’ll tell them to stop. Ravio and the rest don’t really mind, though I don’t know if they get why it happens. I don’t mind either, obviously, but if you do-”
“No, I-” and it startes him to think it, but “you’re right, it’s not bad. I thought it was them talking down to us because we’re.. I dont know, Crew. Because were less orcame from less.”
A twitch in fine features. “You know it’s not just Crew, right? Like, yeah, it’s mostly Crew, but some Cast are strays. I mean,” a tilt of the head towards the window, towards the opera building across the street. “Like I said before, Dusk is one too. Lullaby brought her in apparently, when she was rough on her luck.”
The thought makes him start again because while Legend had said it before, it’s still hard to process. Clicky heels and fancy coffee Dusk? Who holds herself like some sort of princess and talks like she owns the room? Cool, calm, reserved Dusk, is a stray? “I find that hard to believe. I mean,” he shakes his head a bit, like maybe that will clear it, “I don’t doubt you, but...”
“Oh yeah,” Legend sips his drink, chuckling dryly, “I wasn’t here when it happened, but Twi says she came in basically off the streets.”
“Oh.”
“So... yeah,” the other snorts at his disbelief, “it’s not derogatory towards Crew. It’s just a name for those who Time or Lullaby saw a spark in and wanted to give a chance to let shine.”
“Or you,” he tacks on, and watches crimson bloom fresh again in answer.
A nod, brief and stilted. “Yeah. Sure.”
And he’s not sure if he’s talking about the explanation, or the fact that Legend had chosen him, had offered that to him too, after being given it himself, but Hyrule can’t help but smile as he stares at the other lad. “Thank you.”
The answering grunt and still darkening flush of the vet’s face just make him laugh.

OH MY GOSH THANK YOUUUUU😭😭😭
ALSO- ABSOLUTELY I WILL DO IT.
Oh, and btw, you, Anon, are my best friend now. No arguing, and no take-backsies.
AO3- How Did You Know?
Link slashed, hitting the last of the four demons.
It (he?) collasped, fading to golden dust which settled on the floor. He sighed.
A golden light lit the back of the palace like a lantern.
The Palace of the Four Sword. Legend truly struggled to win against the four demons. He remembered the fight so well.
The Four Sword he was given.
His fellow hero's sword.
What were those shadows? Were they Four himself?
Did Four know?
Was that his future or past?
He sat, leaning against a cool, large boulder, trying to even his shaking, ragged breaths.
His thoughts wouldn't even from their raging spiral. What was happening?
Was Four cursed?
Did he kill another innocent person?
Or people, he supposed.
Yeah, he had to ask about the four people thing later.
"-gend? Legend? Link?" Legend tensed harshly.
Four.
Legend opened his mouth, trying to speak, but not a pitiful word could escape.
Four leaned down, kneeling in front of Legend. His lips were pressed in a thin line, and his eyes were creased with worry.
He rose his left hand to his face, wiping off leftover tears.
When did he start crying?
"What's-" Four's voice faltered. "What's wrong?"
Legend couldn't speak. His throat felt plugged.
He couldn't, not now.
Then again, he wasn't supposed to cry in front of others, or frankly at all, either.
Something was up with the veteran.
One second, Four was talking to Twilight, Wild, Time, and Legend about the Four Sword, the next, Legend had froze in place, and run off.
Now, he was crying.
This was absolutely not right.
'What can we do?' Red questioned.
'Nothing, Red. Not now. I... I don't know.' Green suggested, his voice breaking.
'Not all of us care, either!' Blue shot back.
'This is quite the predicament. He may have been triggered, given his displayed trauma response.' Vio explained.
'Triggered? By what?' Green queried.
'Oh no, did we do it?' Red exclaimed.
'What trauma? Maybe he wanted to leave!' Blue retorted.
'Blue. We all watched it. He didn't leave for no other reason than wating to.' Green said plainly. He was right, and they all knew it.
'Alright then, wonderous leader! What do we do?' Blue demanded.
'I said, I don't know!' Green shouted.
'Stop arguing!' Red begged.
The mind was filled with arguing and begging.
'Shut up!' Vio screamed.
Finally. Silence.
'We have to focus on Legend. We don't have time for this.'
Oh, right. Legend.
Four sighed. "That's alright. You don't need to speak yet. Or at all. But I'm here, if want to."
Four adjusted himself to sit.
Four's eyes were red.
He comforted Legend, while his eyes were red.
They were still red.
They did that sometimes, but not often.
So, why now?
Why red?
Why?
Legend swallowed harshly. He let out a shaky breath.
There was a red four.
Red was first.
Then he fought blue.
Purple was next.
Finally, green.
He'd always thought that Four's tunic was peculiar.
It had four colors.
A section for all four of the pieces.
The smith was four people, wasn't he? He was sealed with the Four Sword's dark magic, most likely.
Each one was a piece of him. His eyes must change color because different parts take control.
Red must be timid kindness, or something similar.
He sounded like Ravio.
"You are four people, aren't you?" Four stiffened beside him. "The Four Sword has dark magic. It seals you together."
The smith sighed. "Yeah, you're right. I have Red, Blue, Green, and Violet- or Vio. But how do you know?"
Legend bit his tongue, hesitating. "I'll tell you another time. We need to get back to camp. The others are probably worried." Four nodded, and stood.
He held out a hand, his eyes flashing green. His eyes were green most often.
Green was passion, and seemed to be the smith as well.
Legend grabbed Four's hand.
He didn't have to reach very far.
"To take out the most monsters, we should take out the biggest ones first."
As always, Warriors was leading battle plans. Legend hated to admit it, but he was probably right.
Across from the veteran, Four's eyes flickered to a smooth purple, like a field of violets.
"That's not a good idea." Warriors looked at Four, his eyebrpws raised. "If we do that, we risk smaller things attacking us mid-battle. If you're surrounded by other monsters while focused on something else, you're bound to not see attacks from them. You're bound to get injured. If you finish off the small guys first, the fight'll be easier, leaving you less vunurable to attacks outside your main fight. After, we can all focus on harder things without having to worry about other monsters. Plus, if someone is injured by a large monster, they aren't immediately swarmed by smaller scaled mobs."
Humms or agreement rose from the group. "Alright, then." The captain agreed. "Also, when did your voice get deep?" The captain asked.
Four just shrugged in response.
Vio must be intelligence and strategy.
Four's eyes blazed a bright blue.
The smith had been arguing with Wind forever.
Which was especially annoying because Legend, Four, and Wind were on patrol together, and he had to deal with them.
"That's not a good point! It's just plain rude!" Four shouted.
"I'm just saying, maybe if you tried a little more, you'd have less to complain about!" The sailor retorted. Four dug his fingers into his palms, his knuckles turning white.
"I do try! More than you! Even if I did try harder, I would still be able to complain anyway!"
Legend stepped inbetween the two. "Both of, stop it! This is not the time! Both of you are in the wrong, so accept it. We need to focus on what we're doing, or we're bound to be be attacked by monsters. Come on."
The youngest heroes both tensed. Wind spoke first. "But-"
"No 'buts'. Let's keep going."
Wind grumbled something under his breath.
Blue must've been anger, then.
Four leaned against a tree, reading peacefully. The colors would not shut up today, so it was good to be single-minded for a while, even temporarily.
He still wondered, though.
How did Legend know about Four's secret?
What had he seen?
As if it were prophesied, Legend strolled over towards the smith.
"It's a bit weird to read in the forest alone, don't'cha think?" Four chuckled, and shrugged.
"I like it. It's peaceful, being alone." The veteran nodded.
Should Four ask Legend what he knew? Or was it too early?
'Just ask him. We need to know.' Blue proposed harshly.
'It's too early! We don't want to rush him!" Red objected.
'It's best if we do it now. When else will we have time?' Vio reasoned.
'We can still ask, without being rude or pressuring him.' Green decided.
Four looked at Legend.
"Legend, I want you to answer me honestly."
The veteran tensed. Hesitantly, he nodded.
"How do you know about me and the Four Sword?"
Legend seemed to stifle a gasp, breathing in sharply, but exhaling as an attempt to seem calm.
'Vio, shut up!'
Legend bit his lower lip. Cautiously, he started to speak.
"I once went into a dungeon. It was the hardest one I'd ever seen. I was supposed to collect something- this sword. The place-" his voice faltered. "The place was called The Palace of the Four Sword." Four froze.
The Palace? Legend had been there?
"I fought four shadows. Red, blue, purple, and green. I recognized your sword, when you showed it off. I fought, and defeated, you. It's horrible. I know."
Four's eyes widened. His jaw loosed, falling slightly open like an old book.
That was the veteran?
The fighter?
The dungeon master?
His savior?
"Horrible?" He asked breathlessly. "Legend, you saved me. I was teleported there, split against my will, and coated with malice. You broke the curse, and I was free! You did what I couldn't."
The smith unconciously decided not to mention the pain, just to save time. The split wasn't normal.
It hurt.
A lot.
The malice... oh, he'd never forget. I burned his skin, like furious flames. It made his skin feel so raw, and broken, he may as well have been hit two-hundred times with a horse whip.
Legend looked shocked. Not quite impressed with himself, like he should've been, but shocked was a start.
'That phrase was redundant.'
'Shut up, Vio!'
The smith rubbed the back of his neck before continuing.
"I've always wanted to thank whoever did that. It really changed me, honestly. I should've been stuck for eternity and a day, but, thanks to you, I didn't."
He'd spent two years there, sure, but it was much less than there could've been.
Legend abruptly interjected into Four's speech. "It wasn't-"
"No. You're wrong."
The smith wasn't about to let him finish that thought. He looked up at Legend making eye contact.
Four's eyes, which were more than definitely flashing many colors at this point, blazed with passion, wisdom, fury, and compassion.
"Thank you, Link."
I hope this is what you wanted, Anon!! :3

Hey. I've got a few questions about Heroes Paradox and your art stuff.....
Im very slowly working on my own Links Meet AU and Im slowly working on my lineup for them, character design, etc.
Since you are (Im so serious) one of the BEST artists I know, do you have any advice for designs and/or how to really do a lineup? I'm fairly new (AKA very new) at art (Although Im a fairly good artist, actually) and I don't know a lot with Tumblr posting, art making etc.
If you don't mind, what advice or anything else would you give?
Thanks SO much!
- Legend's Legacy AU (AKA Link to the Random)[AKA a very worried person]
(Hopefully that all made sense?)
[Also I do love your art, hope you know!)
NOW ANSWERING THE CORRECT ASK
Aww tysm! I feel honored haha.
Well it really depends, most people forget that the character design really depends on the kind of media your story develops. For example, if you have a 3D model you can go wild, be detailed, have a lot of unnecessary but pleasant trinkets like this examples, genshin the patient zero of overly detailed and complex characters and good of war.

you can be as detailed as you want because you don’t need to draw them over and over and over again! but when you are designing characters for comics or cartoons you need to keep it simple.
For example, kishimoto originally designed Naruto to be always wearing those glasses, but he thought it would be too much effort to draw them everytime and he came up with the idea of the ninja bands to get rid of Naruto's goggles.
Because if you are drawing something over and over again you want to keep it as simple as possible.
That also includes the color palettes It’s hard to balance the “I don’t want to add to much detail but I don’t what to make it that complex”
For that I recommend play with the values of one color, like my ravio design it’s basically only purple, blue, yellow and green lol but just using different values.
Also something really important is trying to express what they are in their design for example I had to struggle a lot to make them different designs because Link looks almost the same every time lol but I tried to emphasize the things that make them different from each others

For example the “traveler loner” for time and Knight, captain vibe for Wars. (I tried)
