Hello! 👋🏻 My name is Bethany-Grace. I'm the founder of Gaza Giving Tree, and I am sponsoring a Chuffed campaign specifically to help Hossam Al-Qazzaz and his family either rebuild their home or safely relocate out of Gaza.
Due to lack of infrastructure and income, the family has been forced to use the funds from their GoFundMe for essentials in order to survive.
Not wanting this precious family to be forced to make the decision between saving to eat and putting a roof over their heads, I made this separate Chuffed campaign to help Hossam, Hanan, and their family save for their future. 🌱🌳🏠
Hossam's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters and is (#287) on their list of verified campaigns.

(PrR)Journalist Hossam Shabat in northern Gaza: It’s been 24 hours since I was injured, and all I want is to hear my mom’s voice.
I've been trying all day to reach her; my family is only a few miles away, but the “Israeli” occupation forces have separated us by building a military base between northern and southern Gaza.
They can barely connect to the internet, making it incredibly difficult to communicate with them. I’ve been denied even the chance to hear my mother’s voice—they’ve taken everything from us

My name is Asmaa Al-Dahdouh from Gaza, trapped between walls of fear, despair and extreme sadness in the shadow of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, I appeal to every person with a living conscience, a compassionate heart and a human being who understands the meaning of humanity to help us.
Help me overcome adversity
I am reaching out to you today as a steadfast and compassionate person facing incredible challenges, life in our region has become increasingly difficult due to the ongoing and increasing conflict day after day, and I am struggling to secure the basic necessities for our family.
Who is Asmaa and her family?
I am married to Ashraf Jibril, 39 years old. I am 34 years old and suffer from chronic diseases, which are thyroid disease and rheumatoid disease, and I am required to take treatment for life. I have 4 children, the eldest of whom is Adi, 14 years old, who suffers from a chronic disease like me, and Muhammad, 12 years old, and Amal, 9 years old, who suffers from a chronic disease, which is wheat allergy (celiac disease), and she cannot eat normal foods and needs to eat special foods that suit her health condition, and Hossam, 4 years old.
We all feel fear, extreme sadness, and insecurity due to the severity of the bombing and destruction we have been exposed to since the beginning of the war on Gaza until now.
My young children do not sleep normally due to the severity of the fear and nightmares.
My family and I do not have a shelter to live in, as we live in a rented apartment, and the building in which we live has been exposed to shells and bombing.
I fled with my family several times due to repeated threats and requests to move from one place to another. My husband worked as a taxi driver, and during the war the taxi was destroyed and ruined, and he became unemployed.
My son Mohammed and my daughter Amal have been diagnosed with advanced hepatitis, which has added to our suffering.
Despite the harsh conditions and constant doubts surrounding us, I am optimistic and determined to provide a better future for my husband and children. My spirit is unbreakable, but I need the help of people with a living conscience and compassionate and humane hearts to overcome the obstacles we face. I am ambitious and I seek for us all to live in dignity, peace and security.
I am writing this letter to you with great shame, but I have turned to you, people with compassionate and humane hearts, to help me. The current situation has made us in dire need of generous assistance from people like you to support my family and secure a more stable life.
How can you help me?
My family and I aspire to build a better future for our children and ensure their safety and that we all live a decent life, and that they feel safe and stable and live in peace and reassurance. Help us achieve this dream through your generous donation, which will certainly have a great impact in saving us. The money raised will be used for:
• Renovating the destroyed house and purchasing furniture and appliances needed for daily life requirements
• Food and water, ensuring that we have access to daily necessities, medical supplies and healthcare.
• Education, supporting my children's education by covering fees and school supplies and providing the necessary needs.
My message to you
"I have always believed in the kindness of others and the strength of society. This situation was not something I imagined for my family, but I know that with your generous help we can find hope and stability again. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for any support you can provide."
Every contribution matters
No donation is too small, every donation brings us one step closer to relief and a better future. Even if you are not able to contribute financially, sharing this campaign with your generous network can make a big difference.
Acknowledgments
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and my family's and for your kind generosity, you can help us get through these difficult times.

Journalist Hossam Shabat reports the following about the siege of Kamal Adwan Hospital on Twitter/X and Instagram:
Situation at Kamal Adwan Hospital:
Kamal Adwan Hospital was the last barely functioning hospital in northern Gaza. It was operating with great difficulty, but Palestinian medical staff had been assisting patients there for the past 228 days. Israeli occupation forces have besieged the hospital for the last three days and surrounded it with snipers. Doctors were forced to move all patients to one floor, away from windows.
They were crawling between patients in fear of being shot by a sniper. Today, they have evacuated patients, including premature babies. Many bedridden patients with severe injuries are unable to leave, leaving them to die in the hospital.

Anyways, we are in the mood for video game news, right?
Hossam Nasr said that Microsoft had effectively become a weapons manufacturer. “As we've learned more about the deadly blood-stained partnership between Microsoft and the genocidal Israeli military, there's been a growing recognition that cloud and AI provided by Microsoft is as essential to Israel's destruction in Gaza as physical munitions,” said Nasr. “Put simply, cloud and AI are the weapons of the twenty-first century, and Microsoft is effectively a weapons manufacturer powering a genocidal apartheid regime. We must treat it as such.”
The BDS committee are specifically calling for us to not give Microsoft any more video game money. Microsoft is a weapons manufacturer that also happens to design toys. You don't need to give them money.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League announced on 29 June that the body had canceled its designation of Lebanon's resistance movement, Hezbollah, as a terrorist organization.
"In previous Arab League decisions, Hezbollah was designated as a terrorist organization, and this designation was reflected in the resolutions, leading to the severing of communication-based on these decisions," Hossam Zaki said in a statement televised live on Egypt's Al-Qahera news channel.
"The member states of the League agreed that the label of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization should no longer be employed," he added.
"The designation of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization no longer applies," Zaki went on to say. "The Arab League does not maintain terrorist lists and does not actively seek to designate entities in such a manner."
Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported on Friday that Zaki visited Beirut and met with the head of Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc, Muhammad Raad, marking the first contact between the league and Lebanon's resistance in over ten years.
An Arab League statement on 28 June said that Zaki met with other Lebanese officials, discussing de-escalation on the country's southern border, as well as Lebanon's presidential vacuum.
The Arab League designated Hezbollah as a terrorist organization in March 2016, shortly after GCC countries labeled it as such.
At the time, the league called on the resistance group to "cease promoting extremism and sectarianism, refrain from meddling in the internal affairs of countries, and withhold any support for terrorism and terrorists in the region."
The decision came three years after Hezbollah entered the war in Syria to help government troops battle extremist groups, which also posed a significant threat to Lebanon and its security. The years that followed Hezbollah's entry into the Syrian conflict saw a large-scale propaganda campaign against the group, led namely by western and Gulf media.

Literally i am at a loss for words how checking on Gaza after just ONE DAY today meant reading: Israel bombed the Red Cross headquarters in Rafah. They bombed another hospital resulting in deaths and injuries. They killed 2 journalists within the span of mere hours, one of them a very known one, Hossam Shbat, who was only 23. The other one, Mohammed Mansour, was targeted at his home and his wife and child died along with him. Also over the weekend I saw the post highlighting some of the around 200(!) children Israel killed between only last week‘s Monday night to Saturday. Imagine this happening in Sweden or London or Berlin or NYC. And because it’s Palestinian kids they only just got a FOOTNOTE on some western news, if at all. THIS IS NOT NORMAL

Video: Hossam Al-Qazzaz has recently given us a glimpse of a day in the life of his family through a video he sent to us, featuring his infant daughter Habiba, son Bashar, and other daughter Diana. Despite their living conditions, Hossam does his best to keep his children's spirits high.
@hanon-qazaz
Story written by @rumiandroses
Imagine being born into a world where the first sounds you hear are explosions, the hum of drones, and the cries of your family fleeing for their lives. This is the reality for Habiba Al-Qazzaz, a precious baby girl who has known nothing but war, displacement, and hunger in her short life. Born in Gaza amidst the ongoing conflict that began on October 7, 2023, Habiba has spent much of her existence so far in uncertainty, hunger, and fear.
This precious little girl is not even a year old, and already, she has suffered through unimaginable hardship.
Her parents, Hossam and Hanan Al-Qazzaz, are doing everything they can to care for Habiba and her three siblings—Bashar (9), Hani (8), and Diana (4). But the relentless devastation of Gaza’s infrastructure has made survival nearly impossible. With no stable income and essential supplies priced beyond reach, the Al-Qazzaz family is fighting a daily battle just to keep their children warm, fed, and safe.
Their GoFundMe campaign has been their only lifeline, allowing them to afford the most basic necessities—food, water, milk for Habiba. Yet despite the thousands of people who have seen and shared their plea, donations have been coming in at a painfully slow pace. Since last year, they have managed to raise only €2,000, an amount tragically short of their €55,000 goal—the sum they had hoped would allow them to evacuate to Egypt with Hossam’s elderly parents and start anew.
Forced to Live on Top of Rubble
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Images: (Top) Bashar, Hani, and Diana, still able to smile in spite of the devastation they've been forced to endure. (Bottom) Hossam Al-Qazzaz, as he does his best to clear their destroyed home of debris to make it slightly more suitable for habitation.
As time passed and donations fell short, the family was forced to abandon their dreams of escape. Instead, they now live atop the ruins of their destroyed home, sheltered only by a fragile tent that does little to protect them from the cold, roaming animals, or the ever-present danger of violence. Their reality is bleak, and their options are running out.
On February 8, 2025, Hanan reached out to us with an update on her family's condition:
Tumblr media
Image: Hanan's update message to us, informing us of her family's current condition.
The freezing temperatures persist. Her children are crying for warmth in a shelter that provides no protection from the elements.
This is Not a Call for Comfort—It’s a Plea for Survival!
The Al-Qazzaz family is NOT asking for luxuries. They are asking for the bare minimum:
🧤🧣Warmth for their children.
🍞💧 Food and clean water.
🏠🚪A secure shelter.
With further violence looming, the time to act is NOW.
How You Can Help
🔹 Donate to the Al-Qazzaz Family’s GoFundMe to help provide food, warmth, and shelter for Habiba and her family. Every contribution—no matter how small—makes an impact. [DONATE HERE] 🍞💧🍼🧦🧣🧤🏥
🔹 Support the Chuffed Campaign created by our founder, Bethany-Grace, as an additional fundraiser to help the family rebuild their lives. This ensures they don’t have to choose between saving money for the future and feeding their children today. [DONATE HERE] 🌱🏠🛫🕊️
🔹 If you cannot donate, PLEASE share this post. The more people see their story, the greater the chance of reaching someone who can help. EVERY like, share, and repost helps.
The Al-Qazzaz family’s campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters and is #287 on their list of verified campaigns.
A Family of Resilience and Kindness
Hossam Al-Qazzaz is also the cousin of Falestine Asad, another courageous individual struggling to keep her infant child safe in war-torn Gaza. Both Hossam and Falestine are some of the kindest and humblest people you will ever meet. If you can, we encourage you to view and share both of their campaigns, and to donate if possible.
Together, we can help the Al-Qazzaz family find the security, warmth, and stability they so desperately need.
Tumblr media
No child should have to suffer like these poor babies have.
Let’s all be part of the reason they make it through another day, and into a brighter, more peaceful future. 🙏🏻🕊️💗

Have a great time, I hope you read and sorry if the message is long
my father, a 75-year-old man, suffered severe and deep burns. He suffered from them a lot and continues to suffer from them to this day. He suffered serious injuries in the abdomen, thighs, and between them, and a less serious injury in the left hand, as a result of which he was hospitalized. He slept there for more than 20 days and underwent more than four skin transplant operations and cosmetic burns, but unfortunately he was discharged from the hospital before his recovery was complete due to... the large number of patients and the lack of rooms and medicines in the hospital. He is now with us in our tent and suffering a lot. He needs a lot of expensive medications and moisturizers. Just imagine he needs $150 for treatment every week.
Please look at us with kindness and donate to us to complete my father’s treatment and purchase the necessary medicines for him. Thank you all.

19 December 2023
Happening right now
Journalist Hossam Shabat documents an extremely violent IOF fire belt (a type of attack that’s sort of a cross between fire-bombing and carpet-bombing) around shelter centers in Jabaliya. The bombardment has been constant for over half an hour, with no signs of letting up. It is so severe that the sky is bright orange, despite being night time.

Note
my father, a 75-year-old man, suffered severe and deep burns.
