Έφυγε ξαφνικά από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 42 ετών ο δημοσιογράφος και εκδότης του «ThePressProject», Κώστας Εφήμερος, ύστερα από ανακοπή καρδιάς.

Την είδηση του θανάτου του επιβεβαίωσε και η σύζυγός του, Γρανέτα Καρατζά, με ένα συγκινητικό μήνυμα στο Facebook. 

Ο Κώστας Εφήμερος (Παπαδόπουλος) ήταν και ιδιοκτήτης της εταιρίας πληροφορικής BitsnBytes, καθώς και μέλος των European Center for Press and Media Freedom, International Press Institute, Osservartorio Balcani and Caucaso for Media Freedom και συνεργάτης του Wikileaks.

Ήταν επίσης παραγωγός και μέλος της συγγραφικής ομάδας της σατιρικής τηλεοπτικής εκπομπής «ΑΝΑΣΚΟΠΗΣΗ». Το 2011 οργάνωσε την παραγωγή του ντοκιμαντέρ Debtocracy.

Παράλληλα, διατηρούσε καθημερινή ραδιοφωνική και εβδομαδιαία τηλεοπτική εκπομπή, ενώ αρθρογραφούσε συστηματικά και συμμετείχε στο ερευνητικό δημοσιογραφικό δυναμικό του ThePressProject.
