The most surefire way to know if I will agree with someone's Star Wars opinions is whether they insist the saga is about 'the Jedi' or whether they acknowledge that it is about the Skywalker family.

Because the minute someone starts treating 'the Jedi' as the main protagonists of the story, that's when I know I won't ever fully agree with their takes...

#the Skywalker family are the protagonists of Star Wars as it was created by Lucas #if you don't like this fact then too freaking bad #the Jedi were formed AROUND the Skywalkers and their character journeys #to support those stories #not the other way around #both the Jedi and Sith only exist to be the foils/failed mentors/or supports for Anakin's fall to the Dark Side and Luke's hero's journey #whatever expanded universe stuff happens still ultimately hearkens back to the main saga #the Jedi aren't some preexisting entity that need fan support #they literally wouldn't exist in the realms of fiction if the Skywalkers story hadn't been told #the real skywalker saga #i don't hate the Jedi by any means #but I don't see them as more important to the story or more VINDICATED by the story than the SKYWALKERS themselves
