HMMMM thinking of making Lancer one of the brainmasters in my AU. Saber, Blacker, Laster, Braver, and Lancer. Might even make Lancer and Laster twins to complement leozack and lyzack. I was thinking she could be the brain of ingenuity since she's a scientist...Laster and Lancer skill and ingenuity...hmmmmmmm

So Given the Major Decepticon cast for Victory is completed one wonders how The Brainmasters, & Multiforce will get new official figures. I can't see these guys being Haslabs because there's no real Tier blocks these guys can have & their definitely not worth the Haslab pricing. But they can't be Major Retail since barely anyone knows these guys.

This information can be used for monitoring and might not even be shown to the person that it is being measured from. This is sometimes done in research. Let’s say a researcher wants to find out how a person’s body reacts to watching a scary movie or counting backward by 7’s. They could attach sensors to a subject and monitor signals like heart rate or sweat activity to acquire a measurement related to the physiological reaction of the stimulus. When used in this way it would be more accurate to refer to the process as physiological monitoring instead of biofeedback.

#i always wondered if the brainmasters' smallest components - the “brains” - were independant#like - could saber have used his to write human-scaled paperwork?#play/care for little jan?#just. . . fit into human buildings and only have to squeeze a little? (like gandalf in bag end lol?)
I AM LITERALLY ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT THIS... particularly cause we know saber found jan as a baby. like. reverse superman style or whatever. how does the giant robot interact with little space orphan baby... i need information here guys. i need visuals for adorable family moments....
oh my god???
[ID: Transformers Victory [89 anime] screenshots. Star Saber, a large autobot in blue red and white, speaks to a nun. 1. The nun is sitting on his open hands, to speak closer to his face. He smiles politely and says "I'm Jan's foster parent, Star Saber."
2. Waist shot, the nun sits at table now, outdoors. She holds spectacles in one hand, and paper in the other. She says "There, I've completed the paperwork." There's a teacup infront of here, and a mountain range scenery behind.
3. Wide shot. The nun, at her table and chair, is on a roof top. She looks across at Star Saber, who's head is level with the building stepel. She says "Oh... I suppose that's not quite possible."
4. Location shot, Star Saber from behind, standing by the building in full. It is 3-4 stories tall. He says "I will send a reduction of my signature later." END
just like. are we all seeing this? yes?? FANTASTIC.
#transformers#transformers victory#literaaaally soooo happy and surprised seeing this tags cause i wasnt thinking about it at the time but i have been thinking about it SINCE#like as presented i got the feeling thats why holi was in a kind of care taker role while also being. maturity wise. more of an age mate.#cause. EVERYONE ELSE IS JUST TOO DANG BIG.#i love victory to death but brainmasters are just like. the least explained gimmick.#like. (via just watching the animes no other sources) we know headmasters are the little guys. tho they never solve problems that way lol.#and we see. the like. 8 million various of guys in supergod masterforce.#multiforce dino force and even brest force are all. mostly laid out in tfv too.#WHAT DOES being a brainmaster doooooo. aside from. giving them the like. triforce skillset#its not called cisformers

Braver~!!!
The third one off the list, and first of the brainmasters to be spun and given a design! I wrote his stuff on this post for the TF Victory Spark AU. He's still the former Autobot Lead Scientist, still really protective of social with the kids and loves talking about technology and space.
Added note: He butts heads with Bumblebee for human attention-- Blacker and Laster have to pull him away from Bumblebee if they see a fight about to start. It doesn't happen often, but Braver tries to catch himself when he feels like he's getting too clingy.
He was very challenging surprisingly, but there isn't much content about this goober, so I wanted to try my hardest.
I like how he came out!!!

MP-24 Star Saber: Lush, but still lacking
Ok, now I have something to say. We’re starting from vehicle mode though because the build-up to the full form of Star Saber is worth it.
Released in 2015, MP-24 Star Saber was the first full update of the character, bringing back every feature of the original toy while also adapting his on screen look from the Victory anime in spectacular fashion. This obviously extends to his alt mode, the completed V-Star dwarfing anything around it while its unique form factor further helps set it apart. The landing gear aren’t great though, the hinges holding them in place too weak to support its weight most of the time. They fold back up from it just sitting there. Saber’s separate jet mode is substantially less immediately impressive, but it still carries a quaint charm.

Transformation to robot mode is a simple affair of pulling out the legs and unfolding the arms a bit. The only major changes from the original are small things like flipping out the feet and untucking his forearms. The Brainmaster feature was reworked to give him a neck swivel, albeit a stiff one, and make the titular gimmick robot smaller. The Brainmaster itself simply sits inside the chest, acting as a support to push the face into place when you close the panel. The head and inner robot are completely detached, rather than the face being inside it.

Articulation wise, Saber is good but nothing substantial. He comes with opening hands, a bend at the elbow and a swivel just above it, and his shoulders are on a hinge that connects to a swivel on the body. His legs though… he doesn’t have proper hips. You can spread his legs apart and that’s it. His thighs swivel just below those “hips” and his shins swivel again below the knees. He lacks any kind of ankle tilt in this mode, but his feet are sculpted at an angle to compensate. Don’t even try for anything but a static standing pose. You can get him moderately stoic at best. His legs and complete lack of a waist swivel make it a futile effort that will leave him looking unnatural and awkward. He is very handsome though. Overall lacking for a Masterpiece release but considering the features at play and the fact that I doubt anyone is here for just him, it’s not a huge deal.

Saber’s transformation to Star Saber is mechanically simple but filled with spectacle. Saber is the weaker half of this equation, needing you to partially transform him into jet mode then make him a cube. The V-Star is where the bulk of the fun lies. Unfolding the legs and sliding the arms down feels great. Getting him back is even more fun thanks to some buttons needed to unlock his legs. Slotting Saber in can be tricky thanks to an additional set of tabs that need a fair bit of force, but he’s also (mostly) secure after that. The chestplate/legs don’t tab in anywhere, but it’s held up fine by ratchets. Then, to complete the look, you just need to put on his helmet and watch in awe as the face plate flips down. The completed result is a tall, slender robot mode that feels like it came off the screen. It’s not quite the same effect as say, the MP Beast Wars figures, which from photos alone look like the actual models come to life, but the proportions from the anime are realized well enough to still capture Star Saber’s essence perfectly. This is helped by the superb color separation, most of which isn’t thanks to paint. The majority of his different colors are pieces of cast plastic. This even extends to Saber, leaving the Brainmaster as the piece of this set with the most paint. Ironic, considering its size. While this decision likely impacted a few other parts of the figure that we’ll touch on in a second, it does mean that he’s incredibly durable. There’s almost no paint to chip. My only real complaint about the colors is the chrome on the chest. It is gold, but it’s fairly faint and looks almost silver most of the time.

For the combined mode’s articulation, it’s a step up from base Saber in every way. His arms are fully flexible with a double set of elbows and swivels, and he has a butterfly joint at the shoulders for those sword poses. His hands can still open, but now his index finger can move separately. No joints in the fingers though, they’re locked into a curl. He has a decent ab crunch, and his front hip skirts move out of the way to grant his legs a full range of forward movement. His side and back skirts are a different story, both being molded as a single, static piece. You can get at most two clicks of his ratchets going out or back. His leg swivels are in the same places as Saber’s, except now he has actual hips, which still helps immensely despite their limitations. Then, to cap it off, he has just… the most pathetic ankle tilt. It’s barely there. Don’t be mistaken, you can still get Star Saber into plenty of good-looking poses, but you really have to fight his legs and either the awkward angles they can create or the angles they won’t go into. He doesn’t much like holding his sword either, as his grip comes undone rather easily.

Overall, this is a fine release, even going on 9 years strong, but it’s clear to see where some of his faults lie. Not bad by any means! It just could have been better. All those extra parts for color separation didn’t leave much room for things like fully realized joints, and he was designed with a potential MP Victory Leo in mind. Because they just haaaave to do Victory Saber. Even though it’s the worst super mode. The need to be stable with extra weight probably had more to do with some of his stiffness than raw parts count. Maybe they could splurge on the solid plastic colors because they accommodated for Victory Leo. I can’t tell you. It does all leave him very sturdy though, an aspect that the MP line has somewhat lost over the years, from what I understand. He doesn’t feel like he’s going to break whenever you’re handling him, which you need to do if you want some good-looking poses. You’re encouraged to play with him because of his awkward joints and you’re not discouraged from doing so thanks to a near complete lack of paint chipping and solid construction. Even if you don’t care much for posing your figures, he’s still really good. He still looks amazing. Handling him doesn't carry an innate sense of terror, unlike the subsequent Haslab Legacy release. And he’s not a 35-year-old Japan exclusive toy. Just a 9-year-old one.

Like I’m serious.
Unless there’s third parties toys I’m unaware, the other three brainmasters haven’t gotten toys in 36 years.

So, this was an idea that I had before the Legacy post. I ultimately chose to try and finalize it. This might get updated or changed as I think more about it, but for now, this is the finalized version. There are no bios, for the sake of my mental health.
Crew name: Storm Bringers
Great Space Pirate King: Captain Kaizoku Convoy (Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus's brother and this story's incarnation of Nemesis Prime)
Quartermaster: Despitron (a reused name from a third party Megatron toy, initial Megatron loyalist)
First Mate/THE ACTUAL FUCKING SHIP: Ammit (a giant titan-class transformer based on Tidal Wave (vehicle mode) and Nemesis (robot mode))
Second Mate: God Neptune (from Beast Wars II, but reimagined as a normal transformer with a Kraken beast mode)
Gunners: Likely re-imaginings or repurposed figures of the Combaticons and Commandos.
Surgeons: Likely re-imaginings or repurposed figures of the Protectobots and various other medical characters.
Air Support: Flight-mode Vehicons and lesser-known Seekers, like Sunstorm and the Rainmakers.
Brutes: Mainly transformers who have beast modes like strong felines, canines, primates, and reptiles.
Also made some half-assed personality quickies for the main trio.
Captain: Think of him as a gentleman thief (like Zorro or Kaito Kuroba) mixed with Captain Jack Sparrow. He is more serious than Jack, but also retains some attributes. He has a large distaste towards those involved with the Great War, which includes his brothers Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. He enjoys flirting with danger, which is why Ammit enjoys his company.
Despitron: He's like the big brother of the group, older than his captain, but he's far more chill than most. That said, he takes serious matters very seriously and is often his captain's best critic, as he's one of the few to actively criticize his captain's boldness. He's a little judgmental towards Megatron...for obvious reasons.
Ammit: She is the only one who was a former enemy. She enjoys causing mayhem and destruction as a hobby, but she needs to eat (since I have no idea if Titans need more energon or a specific formula of energon), so she eats whatever and wherever she can. Because of the captain's powers, this issue is no longer a need. However, it's now just a desire that comes out every now and then. She enjoys her captain's company due to his bold behavior and actions.
In regards to the Captain's alt-mode, he would be part-Brainmaster part-Headmaster. The Convobat character would be repurposed for the Brainmaster part, being the size of an actual bat. The Convobat would fit into the human-sized Headmaster chest (based on the Infinitus mold), which can then form the Captain's head.
The actual alt-mode, I don't know. I want to make him a shark, but I'm hesitant on just retooling Sky-Byte's mold (though the Cyberverse version might work best).... Plus, there aren't many sharks that would work well for an alt-mode. I could make him a dragon, but that seems a little outlandish....

Time for the Saber Cast or more specifically the Saber OT4.
They are assigned Star Saber, one of the highest ranking Autobot commander who came from humble beginnings, who has a smaller robot form known as "Saber", and is considered the greatest swordsman in the universe, the Brainmasters, comprised of Blacker, the experienced commanding racing buggy, Braver, the childlike mad scientist Ferrari F40 sports car, and Laster, the anti-social observant Countach sports car, who can combine to balanced Road Caesar, Victory Leo, the powerful Autobot warrior lion and can combine with Star Saber to become the powerful "Victory Saber", Deathsaurus, the cunning and powerful rival to Star Saber and has a soft side when it comes to children and his two partners, Tigerbreast and Eaglebreast, his Breastforce, comprised of Leozack, the overzealous Grumman F-14 Tomcat jet fighter, and his partner Lionbreast, Drillhorn, the stubborn drill-tank strategist, and his partner Hornbreast, Guyhawk, the cold and somber magenta and white MiG-29 fighter jet, and his partner Hawkbreast, Hellbat, the underhanded and maniacal dark blue and white Dassault Rafale fighter jet, and his partner Kōmoribreast, Jallguar, the serious black and white Baja-style racing buggy with a rear-mounted missile rack, and his partner Jaguarbreast, and Killbison, the violent jock-like gold and white KMW Gepard anti-aircraft tank, and his partner Bisonbreast, who can combine into Liokaiser, and the young, in Cybertronian terms, Rescue Patrol Team, comprised of Holi, the fast-thinking and resourceful but goofball black Ford Taurus police car, Boater, the little brother-like blue hydrofoil, Fire, the brave red fire engine, Pīpō, the cheerful ambulance with a heart of gold, and Clipper, Holi's serious minded and bossy Mitsubishi X2S concept car girlfriend and supporter of the Rescue Patrol Team. Ise is quite excited to get a bunch of more new friends with all of the bigger robots and the Rescue Patrol Team.
What are the Riders and Saber Cast reaction to the Saber OT4 being assigned all of these robots and all of their reactions to Ise being excited for getting more new friends with the assigned Cybertronians?
Well, if Ise likes them, that's good enough for them 😂Not to mention be amused at Saber becoming partners with Kamen Rider Saber.
I do wonder how they'll cope with being based with the SoL with the harsh winter weather and all. Ofc Cybertronians probably have some way to combat the cold. Also... would they even fit through the Book Gates?
