For the sake of comedy, I redrew this iconic S1 panel in the S3 style. Better or worse? 💀😆 /s

edit: because i've gotten comments on both this post and the one i shared in the subreddit that seem to misinterpret why i made this, y'all this is meant to be satire, i'm not actually trying to 'outdo' the original panel, it's supposed to look like the S3 art style which looks boring and stiff compared to the original LMAO (I even used S3 panels as the base to work off of when creating this) so yes all the issues with the redrawn version are on purpose, i'm well aware it's not as good as the original and that the anatomy is wack, that just tells me i succeeded because it's p much exactly what S3 of LO looks like JFKDLAJFDASKLJKASLD

#lore olympus critical #lo critical #anti lore olympus #lore olympus redraw #lo redraw #on the one hand I can see how the anatomy became more defined throughout the second and third season #but it wasn't... in a good way #because it became a lot more STIFF too #so much of early LO was iconic for its distinct shape language in the body poses #even if they weren't “anatomically correct”#but by S3 everyone looks like a static blow-up doll with no body language whatsoever #and when they DO have body language it's just them passive aggressively clapping their hands #seriously there are SO MANY SCENES in s2 and 3 where the characters are clapping their hands together???#once you start to see it you can't unsee it fr #it's like rachel's only pose besides standing like 🧍‍♂️🧍

hero/villain showdown but one of them has a spontaneous medical emergency and the battle gets put on hold while their archnemesis drives them to Urgent Care

#it should be like. a hernia. or diverticulitis #something intestinal for maximum Awkward Scenario #and the entire car ride alternates between awkward silence and the driver lecturing their nemesis on the importance of regular check-ups #this is funnier if the hero is the one having the hernia tbh. but both options are Very Good #want to emphasize that it is a 'medical emergency ' that is clearly not extreme enough for the emergency room #and the sidekick/henchperson gets stuck in traffic so the hero/villain stays for moral support #they spend 8 hours in the waiting room playing Uno (it devolves into a screaming match)#at the end of the ordeal one of them vows to burn the hospital to the ground with their laser eye powers #and it's Not The One You Think #oh oh oh! ALTERNATIVELY:#it's an allergic reaction; one of them accidentally poisoned the other by using like. soybean derivative in a tranquilizer dart #emphasis on *accidentally*. yes they were technically fighting but That Wasn't Supposed To Happen #so now they're obligated to take responsibility and Stay In The Waiting Room #(can't decide if it's funnier if it's the hero or the villain stuck in this situation)#(probably the villain)#“why didn't you TELL me you were allergic to soybeans???”#“um because you would use it against me in combat?”#“as opposed to NOT telling me! which has worked out fantastic for you!!!”#villain being genuinely offended bc they have a biochemistry degree and have invented literally dozens of untraceable poisons #they have the scientific skill to poison their favorite jackass in hundreds of ways #(and have done so before! in admittedly non-fatal outcomes but that was by design okay)#but it's “dangerous” to do them the simple curtesy of informing them about a SOY ALLERGY????#above all else they consider themself a scientist #and they're LIVID that their favorite (reluctant) test subject lied about their medical history #“technically i didn't LIE--#“I read you the questionnaire! the very first time i held u hostage i READ YOU THE QUESTIONNAIRE!!!”#“...the what now”#“the MEDI--holy shit you weren't even paying attention were you #i had you bound and gagged over an ACTUAL BUBBLING ACID PIT and you couldn't even be bothered to--#“--so i was obviously a bit BUSY at that moment! Interesting Scarabia Duo Eye Detail

If you look closely at their eyes (specifically the lashes/makeup), Jamil’s rounded eyeliner doesn’t seem to behave the same as Kalim’s - Kalim's remains in the same position when he closes his eyes, whereas Jamil's ends up moving downward like this:

...Which implies that Jamil's isn't eyeliner, but in fact his own lashes 😭

And conveniently his loungewear card shows us how he looks without makeup, which also confirms that yes, he's... naturally like this, bro's just built different I suppose

I am not saying here's a link to a free online version of the 1984 graphic novel but if it was there you should probably go read it.

#i just finished it and i want a physical copy now it was so good #i remember i had struggled a bit with the original novel because it felt a bit slow and i think my translation wasn't the best #but this version is super powerful thanks to the illustrations #and since there's the visual support i feel like all the writing is even more punchy because it's really concentrated #so every page is a punch in the guts #if you loved the novel you should read this version and if you didn't like the novel you should read this version even more #great way to make a potentially scary classic more approachable #go read it #book #books #bookblr #booklr #1984 #george orwell #distopia #classics #politics #free books

Once again. A new DPxDC idea/prompt.

Selina....

Selina wasn't expecting this when she decided to have some fun and do what she does best.

She just meant to sweet talk her way into Master's gala/party. Flirt and get info, maybe some blackmail. Steal away the rare cat themed artifact he had recently gotten (and also steal away his actual cat, such a lovely little diva it is too). then she was going to disappear into the night like always.

So...

Selina casted her eyes into the mirror of her car and could see the tiny children she had rescued from Master's hidden basement lab. All but one was asleep, the oldest out of them, although she seemed to be losing that fight from the way her head was falling forward, eyes closing but would jerk herself back awake when she realized she was falling asleep.

Curled up as hard and as much as they could towards the little redhead was three dark haired children, Selina mused that they'd fit right in with Bruce and his little bats/birds.

Two were near identical boys, though one seemed to be much paler than the other and if she remembered right one had red eyes and the other had blue, and the last one of the sleeping kids was a tiny toddler, a girl she heard was named 'Ellie' from the others.

Selina took note that the red head, Jazz, had finally fallen asleep a few minutes later. With a deep breath as she drove further and further away from that... that insane Fruitloop (she overheard the two boys call him that as they ran to her car) Master's place, she blindly reached for her phone and pressed a single digit on the screen, knowing it will connect to her car and call up the only person she can trust to help her with this.

"Selina." came the gravely voice after a single ring, sounds like she caught him on patrol but he seemed to be in a spot where he was okay to say her actual name over coms or she caught him before his night shift started.

"Hello Darling, I need your help with some kittens I found and to help me... Put away their terrible old owner."

Good Fenton parents that took in both Dan and Ellie after good reveal. Still bad Vlad.#Vlad got MEGA jealous at the 'perfect family' and set up something that destroyed the Fenton portal. Got Jack and Maddie killed.#and got the kids deaged. AND the explosion sent them to the DCverse.#Vlad decided to begin anew in the DCverse. started using his powers to gain money again and put collars on the kids to keep them 'in check'#He's going to be in MEGA trouble when Selina brings attention to him.#Cause Bruce isn't going to happy.

I just realized. One thing that Optimus will certainly be educated on by the Primes in the Haunted AU is the various was One Can Kill A Quintesson! Leaving some Autobots confused at times when he's teaching them in return because 'This sounds pretty Specific...???'

It's slightly competitive on the Primes' part because yeah, the Deceptions do got the High Guard being good at killing Quintessons too but. They're the Real Experts. (Are they salty? Naaaah they're not. Much. Kinda.)

they got so good at squishing the goddamn bugs and they're thrilled they can save Optimus the pain of figuring out their weak points through trial and error like they did. they're gonna make a pro out of their baby brother in no time.

and if they just so happen to know some of the Decepticons will be majorly pissed off at the fact OP is already on par with the best of what used to be the High Guard when he only has a fraction of their experience... well, happy coincidences, y'know?

and if they happen to teach Optimus how to crack open a Quintesson in just the right way to make some Decepticons see ghosts through him... that's between them and the people they're haunting :)
