Brawl Stars: Books are Violent
[Cut to Brawl Theater as Lola on the stage while Members of Trio and Incompletely Members of Trio sitting at seats.]
Lola: And now that we've banned video games, let's move on to the next blight on our culture: the "pop" music.
[Door slams loudly while Lola and everyone sitting on the seats look at Trio Leaders who burst through the door and start singing "Books Are Violent." As Darryl walks and holds the book while the spotlight is on him.]
[Darryl] Everybody read a book Wreak havoc across the nation C'mon just have a look There's such violent inspiration
[Brock walks and holds the book while the spotlight is on him as he wears the glasses.]
[Brock] "Lord of the Flies" is a book each parent cherishes The feral kids survive, but the one with glasses perishes
[Bo, Bull, and Rosa attack Brock as red liquid splashes the audience making them scream. Cut to Bo, Bull, and Rosa as their mouths are covered with red liquid as they roar while Lola is shocked.
[Cut to Ruffs pushes Barley on the chair who dresses Shakespeare as he holds the skull and then Ruffs runs away.]
[Barley] If you want more blood and guts, give Shakespeare's plays a try [Lola trips over Barley's shoes.] In "Titus Andronicus," a mother gets her child served up in a pie
[Cut to Lola uncovering the curtain along Pam who smiles evilly to Lola. Mr. P holding a pie with Jessie in it.]
Jessie: You did this to me, mother!
[Pam screams as Mr. P drops the pie which Jessie splashes on it. Cut to Mortis walks through the castle cutout as he holds the cape to cover his face as toward Mr. P who is feeling scared.]
[Mortis] Legends, myths and fairy tales Will make their readers shriek and wail
[Mortis uncovered his face as cape holds up as his fang was showed up which Mr. P screams and falls unconscious and Mortis takes a bites from Mr. P.]
[Cut to Shelly wears the red hood like Red Riding Hood.]
[Shelly] "Red Riding Hood" is pretty bizarre [Pop up El Primo dresses wolf in Red Riding Hood’s grandmother to Shelly]
[El Primo] Where a wolf dresses up as a girl's grandma
[Cut to Colt, Spike, Poco and Amber scream while Edgar looks at them.]
[Cut to Stunt Show Trio as Stu sings while Janet and Bonnie happily, Carl barely worried, and Jacky crossing her arms in discomfort. As Dynamike pops out behind Stu.]
[Stu] I've read Greek myths just like you, sir When they get beheaded, like Medusa
[Dynamike holds Carl’s Pickaxe to cut Stu’s head which passed out while Janet and Bonnie surprised and Carl shocked.]
[Dynamike] And I read "Tortoise and the Hare" A tale of torture and despair
[Cut on the stage, Dynamike places a hare and a tortoise on stage and points a finger at them while Mortis, Bo, Bull, Tara and Surge look at them.]
Dynamike: FIGHT!
Mortis: You haven't read that one, have you?
Dynamike: Er, no.
[Cut to Griff holding Edgar and Colette as he wears the top hat.]
[Griff] If you read Dickens' "Oliver Twist," You'd shut the library door and lock it [Steals Edgar’s scarf and Colette’s book with a pen which they feel is missing it.] It's all about these homeless people who learnt how to pickpocket [Hold Edgar’s scarf and Colette’s book with a pen.]
[Cut to Lola looking at the book and then close it.]
[Lola] Okay, I get it, that's enough! Fiction should be banned!
[Bull] But history books are just as bad Perhaps a rap will help you understand Surge, hit it.
[Surge beatboxing on the song. Cut to front of the camera as Trio Leaders as they are facing on it.]
[Mortis] (Mortis and Tara) {Trio Leaders} It's just words, words, words Cover to cover Bound with a spine, word to your mother But books are the same, every story {To video games}, they're just as gory [Mortis and Tara hold empty glasses and pretend to drink out of them.] Romeo, (oh Romeo), Romeo is your homie-o
[Mortis and Tara play dead while Trio Leaders are shocked. As Mortis dresses in his rap outfits.]
To be or not to be, {that's the question for a G} "Huck Finn's Adventures" by Mark Twain All these books are driving me insane {So who should really get the blame?} Are books as bad {as video-games?}
[Trio Leaders run off and start reenacting scenes from several books. First Brock draws a lightning bolt on his forehead and runs into a brick wall pushing a shopping cart. Then Bo shoots an arrow at Lola. Then Pam pops out dressed as the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.]
Pam: Off with their heads!
[Cut to Colt and Spike on the seats, watching them along with their friends.]
Ruffs: (offscreen) Thar she blows!
[A plunger with Trio Leaders Pins hits Colt's top of his head. The background music gets faster and faster as the Trio Leaders run around screaming; Stu rolls up, Mr. P trying paper cut from books while laughs insane, El Primo and Rosa make cuckoo sounds as around Bull, Mortis wears paper wings as falls the chair and repeats as he laughing while Tara wears sun head to stand still, Dynamike and Barley jiggle their weapons, Griff scramble his head, and Darryl and Surge scream, until Lola puts an end to it.]
Lola: Alright, alright! STOP!! What exactly are you trying to say here?
Gray: (Walks up to Lola as signs the language while speaking quietly) Lola, allow me to elucidate. We phrased myriad issues here today. [Cut to Members of Trio and Incompletely Members of Trio as somebody agreed in nods or hums.] (offscreen) Censorship, membering, making gross noises with one's armpit - but the argument is thus: [Cut back to him.] Video games are shouldering the burden of a deeper problem. It's not the material that's to blame, but how leaders teach their members to respond to it.
Lola: My gosh, Gray, you're right! Books can be as dangerous as video games. There's only one reasonable thing to do.
[Cut to Members of Trio and Incompletely Members of Trio as Colt removes and pulls out the plunger.]
Colt: Become better members and look after our leaders in a sensible way?
[Cut back to her.]
Lola: No.
[Cut to Members of Trio and Incompletely Members of Trio burning a pile of books outside the building except Colt who is watching them in blank expression, under the horrified gaze of Trio Leaders in the background.]

Things from my viewing of Spongebob the Musical at the Palace Theatre, December 24th, 2017
Act 1
-when Patchy started to chant "yo ho we won't go" everyone joined in
-lots of the songs had added lyrics
-Bakini Bottom Day had an extra verse AND a reprise (sung by Spongebob) which was the "why can't he see?" And had a line "Mr. Krabs let me make you proud" AND I CRY??
- the sound effects are so good?? Every step is marked
-"See you at work, Squidward." Spongebob linked arms with Squidward
- Squidward: "the world is a miserable place." Spongebob, lacing his fingers w/ SW: "But it's our miserable place!"
- No control had added lyrics and was swapped with the BFF song
-"everyone knows you can trust the government!"
-Karen didn't beatbox in Going gets Tough, she joined in at ending
-Plankton did like an extremely fast rap and it was amazing!
-that Simple Sponge key change tho!!!
-Spongebob was there during the money song, wearing one of Pearl's dresses
- Mr. K opened up draws and boxes to reveal a ton of money
-when Pearl sang "can you hear me at all?" Everyone started going nuts!
-"Are you with me metaphorically until we actually start with the town saving?" "Yes I'm with you!"
-"My mind is an enigma."
-Sandy kicked a "land mammals go home" sign in half!!
- during "look at all the new friends that I have found" Spongebob looked really hurt!!
-Super Sea Star Savior was one huge party and I loved it
-"fine. Go. I don't need you." Was so heartbreakingly sad and !!!
-Spongebob looked ready to cry after Patrick left and he didn't even try to move when more rocks fell
-when Sandy started to sing, Spongebob nodded slowly and sadly and i cannot
-Karen and Plankton could not keep their hands off each other. Like?? They were running their hands on each other's arms and I swear these two will be the end of me??
- Squidward tries so hard to be noticed and I'm proud of him for trying to put himself out there!
-"loser" is what everyone called Squidward in the 3rd grade, but his mom was super supportive and encouraged him to do his best!!
-"You are not a simple sponge. You are not a simple sponge. You are not a simple sponge."
-"Enjoy your last intermission ever."
Act 2
-poor pirates was so fun!!
-Spongebob's goodbye to Gary was so sad!!!
- in the panicking city, Patrick was running away from his followers
-Sandy and SB marched in sync towards the mountain
-Karen and Plankton had this device to create an avalanche to stop Sandy and Spongebob
- The electric skates were VERY cool
-"My leg!"
-Chop to the Top was amazing! They were climbing all over the place it was so cool!
-the I miss you song was very sweet.
-"C'mon Spongebob! This mountain won't climb itself!" "!! Unless-" "IT WON'T CLIMB ITSELF, SPONGEBOB!"
-"I'm a pretty squid, mama!"
-when the electric skates call Squidward a "loser" it was like a stab to the heart for him and the audience
-When Squidward started his song, his voice was cracking and he looked so sad and SAVE HIM
-Squidward's song got so much applause, both in and after the song
- he tap danced and it was amazing!!!
- I'm so glad I saw Gavin Lee? He's just so amazing
- You can tell SW just wants to prove his mama right and you want him to!
-while working on their device, Karen sticks her leg up in the air.
-instead of "Sheldon" Plankton asks Karen to call him "big guy" and she does and she does again and again AND THEN THEY KISS
-POWER COUPLE
-PATRICK IS A HERO
-"I'LL SAVE YOU SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGE" *gasp* "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOB!"
-I don't know how Ethan climbs up all those latters, but kudos to him
-"On three? Or after three?"
"One, two, three HUH!"
-"LISTEN TO ME!" bless Patrick for finally speaking up. I'm proud of him
-Best Day Ever made me cry
-When Spongebob started singing, Squidward was the first person he smiled at, but Squidward just kind of shrunk away
-Squidward looked ready to cry I felt so bad
-Karen and Plankton waltz?? It was so cute!
-Squidward genuinly smiled during his part??
-When everyone held hands, Karen and Plankton held each other's before anyone else's
-Squidward was on the end and he had one hand on his heart and he was looking up AND YOU CAN TELL HE WAS THINKING ABOUT HIS MOM AND HOW HE MIGHT SEE HER IN A FEW SECONDS AND I CRY
-When Plankton and Mr. K curse at each other Patrick, Sandy and Spongebob did the "hear/see/speak no evil poses"
-Sandy doesn't forgive the town's people. She says "I just don't know if I can trust y'all again." And Spongebob says "You don't have to...just give them another chance?"
-"Is mayonnaise an instrument?"
- the end song was so good and everyone was screaming the theme song and I loved it

OK, I slept like shit so I'm still very tired but whatever. This might spill over to another reblog or two 'cause of Tumblr's image limit but we'll see.

To start with these were outside the shop (Fred Perry in Covent Garden, to be specific), in the case on the right there is Joe's BAD hat, the vest he wore to his marathon run and the medals he got for running.

Then we have:
Joe's sketch of the C'mon Every Beatbox single cover
His running shoes next to the Monty Clift biography Guy Stevens got him during work on London Calling, along with a note Guy included with it
A tattered pile of Joe's papers, mostly scraps of handwritten stylized lyrics
Other miscellaneous bits of writing, a setlist, a few pictures and Joe's driver's license
More polaroids, an NME cover, some random objects and most interestingly a list of new songs from March 1980 and how Joe thought they should sound, including a few unfamiliar titles

Here we have part of Joe's enormous tape collection, a boombox (with tape still in it) and some of his home demo recording equipment.
Stay tuned, we're not quite finished yet.
Just realised there's a good chance a lot of Clashblr's never seen the contents of the Joe Strummer exhibition that was open in a shop basement for a short while when 001 came out
It's like 6AM here but I'll post pictures at a more sensible hour, I wasn't on Tumblr back then so I don't think I've ever shared them here, and as it was small & obscure not many reached the internet in general, every time I open my phone gallery a couple more pictures have turned into black squares so I wanna show you all while I still can
