Forever sad that Planerider Ryn has pretty much been forgotten by campaign 3. She was so cool! So badass! One of the formost magical researchers on Exandria! And one of the exact things this plot needed: a powerful new ally unique to campaign 3, but with threads tying her back to the wider world.
She deserved to stand in the convocation in Vasselheim beside Allura Vysoren and speak for the Arcana Pansophical. She deserved to help plan this moon assault. She should have been there, casting Plane Shift an absurd number times to help move people around. She's an expert on leylines, for crying out loud! She deserved to be important.
She didn't deserve to get turned into a statue and then forgotten in the chaos :(
okay but my favorite thing between lud's official portrait & his mini is that his hand isnt just dead, it's literally warped bone into metal? like his gauntlet was fused? INCREDIBLY cool detail. one of the most unique designs one can come up with for a dead hand. the way it's a visual key for how he can't escape war, it's fused to his very marrow. he has made himself a soldier in this holy war to his very core - or was he made that way?
Begging for next episode post the incredibly likely Matron of Ravens interaction for a game of what the fuck is up with that or some emotional rp for the love of everything holy I need them to decompress/unpack just a tad
I don't have much to say about homeboy beyond liking him. Cool concept, neat design, fun personality, and great roleplay (of course, mostly due to Sam).
Initially, I didn't like him too much, but his story and how it progressed really hooked me in, and he's a character I love dearly.
Drawing him was a bit of a pain, though once I treated his metallic parts like armour, rather than a mechanism, shit clicked.
nah because what if the matron of ravens shows dorian a vision of cyrus so they can talk to each other one last time WHAT THEN. WHAT THEN??
what if dorian yells at the matron for not helping the crown keepers at their lowest point, especially when one of them was greatly vowed to her, how she just stood there and watched as they all crumbled before this ‘merciless goddess’ sister none of them(the gods) like. what then. what if dorian finally releases some of that anger, the anger he is afraid of- the anger that has been boiling up inside of him since that day his brother was murdered and all he could do was walk the other way. OH MY GOD.
The more complicated the next course of action gets for Bell's Hells, the more I want to see the end of campaign and i dont mean that in the way "oh i dont like this, i want this to end" but more in the way how on gods green earth will they unravel this madness around them. Personally i dont think there is a good option they can take. The option of releasing Predathos...is terrible on so many levels yet fighting may cause the new calamity. Its so delicious all of these hard choices they have to make/are making. I cant wait to see where it all ends and how.
There will not be an episode of Campaign 3 this week.
But if you are looking to fill that Critical Role hole in your week, ahead of Season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina coming out October 3rd they will be showing Seasons 1 & 2 on Prime Video's YouTube page for free starting at midnight PDT on September 27th (about 10 hours from this post).
“I don't-- I haven't really thought about it yet, Chet. I've been of the notion that I don't want to let Predathos free. I know so many people disagree with what the gods do, and so many in our group do. But a lot of people on this world But a lot of people on this world depend on them. To throw that all away seems callous. Faith's a hard thing to let go of. It is.“-Imogen/Dorian
