i HATE grapeduo (don't like any purple ships but grapeduo is the one shoved down your throat and therefore what i have the most problem with), especially when they're shipped immediately post-avm s3. i may a little biased because im very connected to purple and just personally don't like green, but i do have an actual issue. said issue is how unrealistic it is that theyd work out romantically so soon after s3 (i still dont like far post-s3 grapeduo but its better in this regard). they both have lots of trauma to work with, and in green's case, some of said trauma was caused by the person people wre shipping him with. because of this, some immediate post-s3 screams trauma bonding (the actual thing, which is a form of unhealthy attachment, NOT the way the term is used colloquially/in fandom). when green originally forgave purple, the end goal was to team up against mt (king). it was clearly genuine forgiveness, but im not sure what all long-term friendship was planned in that moment. most antagonists that the cg make amends with are just left to continue on doing their own thing, and while purple did end up maintaining that friendship, they are still an outlier which could raise some questions. purple (directly or indirectly) caused a good bit of green's (and the cg as a whole) trauma, and that takes time to heal from and even be on friendly terms, let alone a committed romantic relationship. now on purple's side, purple being close with green can also come off as again latching onto the first person that showed them even common decency because they didn't usually get that. we know that they're not the most stable or consistent person out there, and while they've definitely started healing over time, its not the most implausible initial reason. the biggest issue i see on purple's side, though, is that in being isolated outside of their parents when they were younger, they realistically have no good framework for what a healthy relationship should be like and unfortunately probably would not be a good romantic partner since all they've been exposed to is the abuser/victim dynamic. i think green would be a pretty good partner overall (and a lot better with someone who didn't traumatise him), but purple would unfortunately be likely to fall into one of the aforementioned roles. (in this case the "victim" role would more just be an enabler who doesn't speak up much, mention their needs, etc).

tldr they're fucked up, have too much trauma to work through, purple isn't ready for a relationship, and there's too much potential for unhealthy attachment on both sides. apologies for the wall of text but good lord does immediate post-s3 grapeduo rub me the wrong way. far post-s3 could work, and there my main issue is just that i don't see it lol. but yeah i guess im anti-grapeduo /silly /j

"Cozy Glow is the twist villain of S8, and a central antagonist in S9.  She starts as a normal student who is revealed to be a manipulator who seizes all magic for herself, and when she is defeated, she is banished to Tartarus where she joins up with other villains to gain ultimate power and take over Equestria, and when they are beaten this time, all three are turned to stone.

Throughout her runtime, much is made of the apparent fact that, despite her young age and sweet appearance, she is evil through and through, her age and capacity to change never even considered.  No excuse is given for her behavior and she never betrays a hint of remorse (although in her very first episode, she behaves like a normal, and even kind, kid; if not for her second episode, the twist would have come out of nowhere). Naturally, there is a good contingent of fans who also take this at face value, so you can get the picture."

by the way discord has stated that he was fully conscious while turned to stone, so we can imagine she is as well. this kid may have had issues before but she's gonna have SO MANY MORE once she breaks out. for a show about the magic of friendship i find it really weird that they condemned a CHILD to such a horrific fate.

also, where are her parents? children don't just get the idea that friendship is simply a tool used to gain power over others and that every kind person wants something from you in return out of nowhere. there's a lot of missed potential with her character and i'm mad about it"

Bernadetta von Varley (Fire Emblem Three Houses)

She has extreme trauma from being severely abused by her father all through her entire life (things done to her include: being tied to a chair for hours, beating her commoner friend half to death, having her shoved in a sack and shipped off to the Officers Academy after his abuse had, but that point, made her too anxious to leave her room). Because of this trauma, she has extreme anxiety, refusing to leave her room and assuming everyone is out to get her.

On paper, it's a pretty good representation of sevete issues caused by trauma (makes me think of AVPD actually), but in practice? It's used for... weird waifu bait. She's treated as the uwu shy one who you have to protect. Her S support CG literally has her standing below you making an... interesting face. Just the way she's often portrayed feels way too much like they were trying to make her a cute anime archetype rather than a good representation of the results of trauma.

The fandom, for the most part, treats her one of two ways: they either take the waifu bait and make her their uwu cute shy girlfriend, or they say she's annoying and lame. Which is honestly not their fault because the writers just fucked up the portrayal of her character sooo bad.

HERE IS WHY SHIRLULU IS A LEGITIMATE SHIP -PART 1

I always wanted to post a detailed analysis of  Shirley X Lelouch  relationship and will post in parts due to Tumblr restricted on images. 

Fun fact- I started watching Code Geass with all the spoilers (deaths) and was fully expecting to be part of the Cclulu or Kalulu fanbase (because they are popular), but as I continued watching, I couldn't understand why Shirlulu had a minor fanbase and was ignored when their feelings were so obvious. Needless to say I became a Shirlulu shipper.

Let's start -

Shirley and Lelouch loved each other.

While Shirley's feeling are so obvious.

Lelouch's feelings are hinted throughout the series (both direct and subtle hints), which are often ignored as filler or brushed off as "guilt" for killing her father (which is not the case). 

There are people who dislike Shirley just because she is not "useful" like other girls. Let me tell you it's called a business deal and not love if you are going to choose a person based on their "usefulness." 

Let's start with Direct hints

R1 Stage 14 -

although the whole episode is dedicated to Shirlulu and their relationship. I'm focusing  only on the bits right now.

Lelouch, being dense when it comes to love, didn't realize his feelings until he lost her. Lelouch really cherished her presence in his life.

When I first watched CG , I really didn't expect that Lelouch would say such a romantic line especially for Shirley ( the ship so unpopular) and I repeat NO ONE would say this for a platonic friendship.

I was suspicious of Lelouch's feelings but this episode made it crystal clear that's its mutual , it's just Lelouch didn't realize it before.

Honestly, I would love to see them bicker and laugh it off after patching up

R1 Stage 12 & 14 -

IIrc, Shirley is the only girl whom Lelouch kissed back.

Personally I don't think he kissed her back due to guilt over killing her father but more like doing anything he could to comfort her.

He could have kissed Kallen if guilt was the reason but he only let her kiss him.

R1 Stage 14 -

"Any sin you commit is mine to bear" is the love language of Lelouch. If we consider Lelouch's personality.

He is not type to buy flowers and chocolates and he is the type who would do everything in power to hide the evidence of murder and going far to even take the blame for it.

Ranked as one of the best anime hugs and only hug scene in code geass series. The way Lelouch pulls her into a hug is everything

R2 Stage 12 -

Shirley felt Lelouch was lying about his feelings for her. His immediate response was a hard " No". Once he realized that blurted out his feelings, he tried to cover it up.

The reason was because he wanted to protect her, he did not want her get involved in dangerous stuff ( mao trauma) and he is too busy and cannot afford to be in a relationship. He doesn't want to be neglectful boyfriend to her because she doesn't deserve it.

This alone should be a proof that Shirley's feelings are reciprocated.

R2 Stage 24 -

Lelouch was arguing with Schneizel about how people struggle against sadness yet still seek the future.

The first scene that played was Shirley's death, symbolizing that Lelouch's struggle against sadness was Shirley's death and how he still he continued to seeks a future.

R2 Stage 25 -

Lelouch was dying, the first person that came to his mind was Shirley (it was just chronological order S2-S1 after that), and his last image was his childhood with Suzaku and Nunnally. The Special ones in Lelouch's life

Many people chose to ignore this moment but this one is undeniable proof that Lelouch never moved on from Shirley

Chatterbox and pretty much all of the clowns rp has been so peak as of late. You know it bad when you have your tv working as a second screen to watch another person point of view. Nakkida has become one of my favorites, her music work makes every scene so intense. Wayne finally pulling himself together and become the youngest child to Tessa.

Chatterbox and Kirk give off mad eldest son vibes. Twinkles refuses to be part of the family so he is designated childhood bestfriend.

As a Chattercups girly, it does feel like we've reached a point where it doesnt really matter if Ray comes back or not. Chatty and Jagger his alt self seems committed to the idea of burning the funhouse down. The spiral may have started with her but it has now become something else. We have like mega plot points like Sooty dead husband, which was just a helpful way of killing a character who was already dead fully off to free the Mun. In short Dick was pretty much never coming back and this just helped the rp, like putting gasoline on a fire. Plus Clowns were never a family, i can write a whole essay on it. They were more like a compound of people stuck together through mutual truama. You cant call yourself a family when the leader hates your guts and doesnt mind if you get killed. But draws the line infavor of others. Your just a group with a bunch of smaller groups with a hierarchy issue.

Idk if I want to believe Cups/Rae are done done rp wise. I think they had a solid plan before the drama happened, which would leave a bad taste in anyone mouth. Then they said "oh once a big update drop she'll be back." But lets be honest I dont think CG is coming back (that just a gut feeling i would be happy to be wrong). An irl Rae is too busy making her own company, staring in movies to crave out time for rp. Especially if she's not vibing with it, plus its unfair to leave other characters in limbo just because of ONE person. So i can see why we're pushing forward as fast and as hard as we are going.

I would love some type of resolution to the ship tho. Besides it becoming," Cups comes back nothing is the same" and we call off the wedding and everything just to end it. Idk maybe its copium, but because the rp is so intense, it feels like she could drop in anytime and it would just explode so much shit. An I think thats what sucks the most because it is prime rp moments, like it is rainning diamonds thats how good it is. An I dont want it to be missed if Rae not gonna do the rp anymore. Just give me an ending that does not just end in "chatterbox gets his mask back" or "chatterbox in his jagger state kills cups."

No I need Ray to come back and knock jagger out and take him out to the beach and drown him repeatedly until Chatty brain becomes a scrambled mess and all his different personsilty mix together like soup. He doesnt get the mask back, I can take or leave the wedding. But I would find it funny if Ray had to tie up this new chatterbox to marry him and then kill him' i just think Ray personailty could scare Chatty back to "normal"

Honestly I got into gta nopixel because of Chattetcups, like legit it took a singke tiktok and I was in. I just want a satisfying ending.

started reading it some while ago but had to drop it due to circumstances cuz it's so messed up. a year later now, i swear i will finally finish it. taking place in a corrupt medieval fiefdom, it centers around a 13 y/o deformed boy. when he commits a crime, the cruel fiefdom lord demands the boys father to hand him over as reparations. that's all i'm gonna say 😭 who ever decides to read this better read the triggers cuz there are a LOT and i mean it.

it's been a while since i read this book up in english but now i want to give it a try in german 🙏🏻 don't want to spoil much but it's basically a classical crime story but with an unreliable narrator at the center. it's that book that resparked my love for the unreliable narrator narrative. still waiting for it to get turned into a kdrama cut i know it'll work amazing

Heaven by Mieko Kawakami

gotta love me some story that takes me back right to my school days... yeah. so anyway, it tackles bullying through the eyes of a 14 y/o student who's subject to relentless torment. in the midst of it, he finds comfort in a female classmate who goes through the same. it's definitely not an easy read that's for sure but i think it's a great help for anyone who has suffered under bullying once in their lifetime to realize we're never alone in this. i'm sure it can also open the eyes of the perpetrators themselves.

its more than just a book. its got 3 key figures: the book (ship of theseus), the writer (straka), the readers (eric and jennifer). "a young woman picks up a book left behind by a stranger. inside it are his margin notes, which reveal a reader entranced by the story and by its mysterious author. she responds with notes of her own, leaving the book for the stranger, and so begins an unlikely conversation that plunges them both into the unknown." i love books like where you gotta have to use your braincells a little bit more so i can't wait to gets my hands on it soon, hopefully

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

"a young family moves into a small home on ash tree lane where they discover something is terribly wrong: their house is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside" - its not just a book but also a riddle and a challenge. along with the story the structur of the book also plays with you. i always loved interactive books as a young kid so i know i'll eat this one up like a starving victorian child

always loved her books so of course i also have to read this one. its one book with three different stories: the 1st story about a woman who finds herself in a house that isnt hers with a husband she's never seen before and a girl who claims to be her daughter, the 2nd story is about friends traveling to a cabin, visited by a stranger at night and the 3rd is about a 12 women forced to participate in "the maze"- a high obstacle course

How I feel about this character: 

What a perfect dummy.

Norba Shino is the living embodiment of why we care about Tekkadan. Because they are, despite their profession, just as capable of warmth, enthusiasm, care and love as any other bunch of kids. And of being idiots, of being horny, of committing all the mistakes and stupid arguments you'd expect from teenagers.

Which is why it's the right move for him to be the first major casualty as season 2 races towards its inevitable conclusion. All those things -- all that humanity -- leads to Shino's rash attempt to kill Rustal Elion, to him throwing his life away on something that serves very little purpose beyond making everyone feel better about having tried. It's prideful, stupid and reckless, driven by a desperate need to be taken seriously. Everything that makes Tekkadan what it is.

Also he's bi as hell. I adore the great big jug-eared lunk.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: 

Hmm. See, sexually, I could ship Shino with practically anyone. My man is not fussy and he has the kind of personality that could mesh well with most of the cast, frankly. But romance . . . I dunno. I don't actually think, at the point he is in the show itself, Shino is very much capable of romance.

Regardless, current run down of slash-pairings I have written/may write:

Yamagi/Shino = 'I finally got a clue and also PTSD'

Yamagi/Shino/Eugene = 'hey, did you know I'm allowed to sleep with my friends?'

Yamagi/Chad/Shino = 'my partner's boyfriend is having a bad day'

598/Yamagi/Shino = 'that kid we met once grew up hench as fuck and just blurted out 'you're really pretty' at Yamagi while half-drunk - let's go!'

My non-romantic OTP for this character: 

Shino and Eugene are best buddies for life. Poly-shipping aside, I see those two as joined at the hip forever, with their friendship long predating Orga and Mika's arrival at the CGS.

And yes, Shino's been winding Eugene all the time they've known each other but 1) Eugene needs people to call him on his ego and 2) the way he's still prepared to be vulnerable around Shino anyway means something, you know?

My unpopular opinion about this character: 

OK, I don't know if this is unpopular, but I stand by the idea Shino is not actually a fundamentally nice person. That is to say, for all he's an unabashed cheerleader for his friends, a walking bear-hug of a personality, and generally quite sweet in his ignorance, he's also completely at home with violent behaviour. Of all the mecha pilots on Tekkadan's side, Shino is the one who most readily gives the impression of *enjoying* the fights. He's eager for it, wants to prove he's capable of winning, and readily lashes out when he's angry. He is, to my mind, very much a product of being socialised in a military setting and has absolutely no issues with solving problems via beating the tar out of them. A hell of a friend to have at your back but you do *not* want to be on his bad side.

Though obviously my actual unpopular opinion is it 100% took him that long to notice Yamagi was into him and didn't consciously consider being attracted to the guy until then. The pining was *never* mutual.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

*stares at the 600,000 words of fanfic predicated on him surviving his suicide run against the Arianrhod Fleet*

No but seriously though, I would have liked his bisexuality to have been referenced outside the context of Yamagi. Like, it is pretty definitively text that Shino *is* bi, I just think it'd have been funny to establish that, no, he's capable of being attracted to other guys, he just genuinely had it fixed in his head that because Tekkadan were family, sex between them was off the table.

my OTP:

I mean it's not like I'm *not* a total sucker for the doomed in-canon pairing, is it?

What I think it is, is that it's established very quickly that Shino sees Yamagi as a friend and respects his abilities. To an extent, he even thinks Yamagi is really cool! Which, well, he thinks that about all his friends, but it establishes Yamagi isn't pining for nothing. This isn't a 'barely knows I exist' kind of crush, it's a 'I cannot spit out what I actually feel despite the fact the other guy likes hanging around with me and is never less than friendly and complementary'. It feels very 'normal teenager' in a way that, similar to Mika/Atra/Kudelia, contrasts poignantly with the situation everyone is in.

But there are also layers to it, or at least enough attendant details that allow for the possibility of layers. Shino has moments suggesting a fatal lack of self-confidence, for all his bigging up Tekkadan as a whole. He doesn't congratulate *himself* much and he reacts really badly to his skills being doubted, and to letting everybody else down. He's also not a pushy person which sits a little strangely with his otherwise loud, extroverted personality: despite having basically had Eugene confirm Yamagi is into him, he still makes space for the whole 'drinking the night away' thing to be an invitation rather than an assumption.

Yamagi, meanwhile, is blatantly not a shy person in general. He explores ideas off his own bat and presents them to Yukinojo, he's in his element ordering Dane and Hush around, and he gets to be a sarcastic little jerk more often than he pours oil on the troubled waters that are Takaki and Ride. Furthermore, while he lets his crush on Shino show blatantly when it can't be seen, his go-to reaction when observed is to become quite curt and cold. Shino jokes that Yamagi is 'scary' and it's clear the kid knows how to make his displeasure known. Plus, of course, Yamagi rejects -- off his own initiative -- a yearning to have died alongside Shino in favour of picking up where he left off, protecting Tekkadan.

There are angles there, is my point, to explore their similarities and to have their differences run counter to assumptions about who they are based on first appearances. I'm too deep into writing my version of this to be be objective any more but I really do think it's interesting to posit that Yamagi has the more durable personality and Shino a far more vulnerable one, ill-equipped to deal with, say, thinking his failure caused all his friends to die.

In the show, they're a could-have-been. They don't get their chance to be together and if they had, and things had generally gone better, it might not actually have lasted. I don't know how well Shino would have done in a first-time relationship after years of growing up too fast, and I don't know if Yamagi would have gotten what he was looking for out of it.

But give it a few years of Yamagi trying to live up to a Shino-shaped hole in the world and of Shino trying (failing) to live with himself over what happened and they become this wonderful, spiky ball of love, trauma and an enthusiastic openness about sex that comes of learning the cost of taking things too slow.

I'm semi-allergic to crossovers (they're just usually not my thing) so I really don't know . . .

a headcanon fact:

I already posted the one about how the thing he wanted to shut Zack up about was getting turned on by a dominatrix so let's go with . . .

Shino is from a big family. Like, over half a dozen kids stuck in one household with over-worked/struggling/absentee parents. That's why he tends to gravitate towards sharing space with the younger boys: it's what he's used to, since he's played the roll of an additional care-giver from the age of too-flipping-young-to-have-that-kind-of-responsibility. He is *really* good with kids, albeit more in a 'on their wavelength' kind of way than actually being anything like a responsible adult.

This is not the tragic part, at least not dramatically so since this is probably the case for a not- insignificant fraction of the Third Group. No, the kicker is that one day Shino's family upped and disappeared and he has absolutely no idea what happened to them. He was off earning money at the CGS and then the next time he went home, the building had been entirely cleared out.

He never talks about it.

Review: Fanatica (CORE)

I recently played Fanatica, a BL visual novel published by CORE in 2004! For some reason I had never heard of this game before even though it's the same company that created Messiah, a game that was often talked about on BL forums like Aarinfantasy. I'm a big fan of Carnelian's art which was one of the main reasons I played the game, and it was recently announced that Carnelian is also working on another BL game!

Synopsis This story focuses on protagonist Arshile, who has no memory of his past and travels around Europe together with his only acquintance, Cartis. One day, they are unexpectedly invited to a cruise ship called the Fanatica. Soon after their arrival, a mysterious man approaches Arshile and asks him why he still hasn't remembered anything. "Could it be that you still haven't found anyone who truly loves you?" Throughout the story Arshile learns about his mysterious past, the sins that were committed in the past and his deep love for a certain man.

This game also got a PS2 remake in 2008 with almost all CGs and spritework re-drawn called ''Gin no Eclipse'' which also features a new character (Feilong), who's Liwen's brother. I also played this version, but I liked the original a lot more because they changed a lot and basically all BL elements were removed, not just the 18+ content. So in this review, I'll only talk about the PC version.

First of all, the official website mentions that the protagonist of this game is Arshile, but his love interest Cartis plays a huge role in the story too and the dialogue often switches to his narrative. I have to say that CORE's games are a bit different than most other BL visual novels and usually, the main character only has two love interests who he can have a good ending with. Even though you can choose between these two, the game makes it quite clear that only one of these two characters is the 'true ending', I think those who played Messiah are familiar with this. In Fanatica the main pairing is Cartis/Arshile, though Arshile can get an ending together with Calme too.

Another thing I haven't seen often in newer visual novels is that the other characters can be paired up too. Souha/Liwen is one of the side pairings that have quite a lot of scenes together, although it is not the happiest 'romance' (if you can even call it that). Cartis and Souha also have an ending together, and in one of the other endings, you also get Souha/Arshile, Cartis/Liwen and Rodney/Calme. Even though the game doesn't call these endings ''bad'' ends, they definitely feel like bad ends.

Game mechanics Instead of choices, this game uses a completely different system I haven't seen before. There's a button in the corner of the screen which displays a butterfly icon, but when you click it, it transforms into a spider icon. During certain scenes, you need to change it to the spider icon, or else certain endings won't unlock. Also, sometimes the icon starts glowing, which gives you the opportunity to view flashbacks.

The protagonist has a split personality, the butterfly representing his current self and the spider representing his different personality (who has white hair and red eyes). Only white haired Arshile can end up together with Calme by the way, original Arshile only has a good ending together with Cartis.

Before I looked up a guide, I... completely missed that you can even view the flashbacks, so I had a bit of trouble unlocking the final ending. After that, I did quite enjoy this game! I liked slowly discovering what had happened in the past and the reason why some people on the cruise ship seemed hostile towards the main characters.

Also... the game sometimes breaks the fourth wall and the character who initially just seemed to be a mascot tells you which endings you still haven't unlocked yet. He also teases the player for getting an ending you already saw before lol.

Similar to Messiah, the game does have a status menu which shows what route you're on and how close you are to an ending, but because of the game's unique mechanics, knowing this information didn't really... help. Luckily it only has 6 different endings, but definitely use a guide if you want to play this!

So... In the final ending, the game hints that Liwen, Souha, and side character Arya will return in their next game, Torus Zero, which was unfortunately never released. I did find some magazine pictures in which both of them have different names, supposedly forgetting about their past lives in Fanatica and being reborn into the world of Torus Zero. However, instead of releasing Torus Zero, the company created Messiah next, which doesn't seem to have any connections to Fanatica.

To be honest I think that even without the lore of Torus Zero, most of the plot does get explained in Fanatica. The final ending also hints that the other characters somehow survived the incidents that happened on the ship and that they are still alive in the modern world, where Arshile and Cartis also live. The extra scenes in the remake (Gin no Eclipse) also support this theory.

The plot can sometimes get a little confusing because there are some pretty... strange fantasy elements, like half of the main characters being descendants of some kind of spider god (???), but despite that I still thought it was a pretty interesting visual novel to play. I liked the soundtrack and the cast was also good, featuring some well-knowns voice actors like Suwabe Junichi and Sugita Tomokazu (who voices Keisuke in Togainu no Chi).

After releasing Messiah's fandisc, the company stopped releasing new games and the website eventually stopped working too, so I'm glad to hear Carnelian is finally creating a new game in the year 2023. It has been a long time, but I'm curious to see how different it will be compared to their older BL visual novels.

Lute x OC Cat Chimaera

He is definitely a very playful person to be around. He's energetic, fun, and doesn't mind who he's dating! Whether you're a man, woman---the only thing that matters to him is the romantic feelings he'll get out of it. And if you give him the sparks, then you're on his list.

He's an open book. Literally. He tells you all the thing he likes, dislikes, fears, and loves. Because of this, it's fairly easy and uncomplicated to find gifts for him that you're most certain he'll love. He might even be oblivious to the fact that you basically know him like an open book, though that depends on how you act around him.

For you, he is a very outgoing person. If you're as energetic as Lute, then he'll take you to the different romantic spots he knows of. Lakes, open areas in a forest, maybe somewhere around Yggdrasil---he basically knows Verdancia like the back of his hand, and he'll take you to them so he can spend time cuddling with you there.

His love language will definitely be physical affection in exchange for your wonderful gifts. Cuddling is a staple in his love life, and since you're a female cat, he'll love to hear you purr when you're both cuddling, and maybe he'll do the same to you by purring back! The fluffiness of both your furs will enhance the cuddling session, proving to be quite the efficient sleeping pill.

Because of the fluffiness of both of your furs, you'll always go to him when you can't sleep at night, and he'll gladly take you in his arms and over his chest. You can't help but just feel safe around him, as if he's your personal bodyguard or something of the sort, so the more you go to him to sleep, the more frequent it gets as time passes.

He loves to tease you and play with your emotions---in a good way! When he plays with your emotions, I really do mean it's him making you blush, taking every opportunity to make you flustered in every second. Whatever it takes, he will make your cheeks red, and he'll enjoy doing it, because he likes to see you flush!

Pugi x OC Tigress Chimaera

He's a calmer, slightly mature version of Lute. If Pugi decided to hang out with you, then it must mean that he saw something in you that made his inside go spark. Though it's not really a strict thing, it would still reassure you that he saw something unique in you to the point where he committed to a relationship with you.

He is a man's man, and likes to give you gifts that will make you happy just to see you smile and excited. Edibles are things that he would usually give, but he would occasionally give you jewelry, though he is usually not a materialistic type of person, so he sticks more on the beneficial side of things that will actually nurture you as a tigress.

He's careful and most likely overprotective of you. Even just a small, insignificant scratch will mean a lot to him, and he'll ask if you're okay and if you need help treating it. Even if you insist, he'll still bother trying to help, despite the fact that it doesn't even hurt you or anything like that.

Now, if you were harmed by another person, then that's a whole different story. He'll go absolute beast mode and bark, trying to defend you. If that's not enough, he'll go physical, and it'll take one pull from you to make him let go of the grudge, but he'll remember that face and he'll be keeping an eye on the person who harmed you!

He tends to like spending time stargazing, and what better way than to do it with you! He often likes to cuddle under the starry night sky, and he would purr in response to your purring. He likes to spend some time with you without being disturbed by any other beastianoid, so he just invites you to come with him to lie down on the grass where the area is isolated, and just look at the stars and the celestial bodies floating around the sky and ponder about things.

I can imagine him being a himbo kind of guy, almost like Lute, in a way, but more than him. There are definitely things that needs to be explained to him, and some things that doesn't need to be explained. However, it's still pretty amusing to see his face contort into that of confusion and bewilderment when he hears something complex. It's a cute expression, and you love to see it!
