Take a Taste: with foods from Delicious Restaurant & 1919 Grand Cafe [Jan 8th, 2023]

Hello! It’s time for another “Take a Taste”! The series is about delicious food with my two paper dolls. And in this first episode of 2023, me & my family are having a bonding night from Sta. Cruz to Binondo! Because we're eating some delicious foods from the folks of "Delicious Restaurant" & "1919 Grand Cafe"! 🍛🍲☕🍰😋 Recorded on yesterday; Jan 8th, 2023 (Sunday).

So, without further do, let's get started:

First stop: Delicious Restaurant in Sta. Cruz, Manila

1st to 3rd Image(s) ↑:

• Let's start off with the aptly named "Delicious Restaurant" located at 550 F. Torres St, Santa Cruz, Manila. It is one of the most satisfying foods in my country, and their recipes never gets old nor changing their ingredients, since the 1930s. My paper dolls are excited to see what's on the menu! 😁 And once we're done the menu, let's sip a glass of iced-cold cola. Mmmmm...😊🥤

• Finally, the wait is over! Our food has arrived! Mmmmm!😋 My paper dolls can smell it from their paper made nose. Wait, did they smell our ordered foods? lol 😅 Nonetheless, here are ff. meals & beverages:

○ Softdrink 1.25L - Php 145 / $ 2.64 (USD) [mentioned in 3rd image] ○ Miki Bihon Guisado [Upper left on 4th & 5th images] - Php 210 / $ 3.82 (USD)(Special) ○ Chopsuey Soup [see 8th & 9th Images] - Php 250 / $ 4.55 (USD) ○ Beef Curry [low right on 4th & 5th images] - Php 290 / $ 5.28 (USD) ○ Special Fried Rice [bottom on 4th & 5th Images]- Php 320 $ 5.83 (USD) (2 orders) = Php 620 / $ 11.65 (USD)

• Well, let's chow down, you two!😁🍽️

Overall (for Delicious Restaurant in Sta. Cruz):

• I have to say, I can't go wrong with so called "Delicious Restaurant". Their Chopsuey was nutritious because they have full of veggies, their special Miki Bihon Guisado never fails in our appetite, but my most favorite are their "Special Fried Rice" & the "Beef Curry". Sure, it doesn't add spiciness for the latter, but this is my first time munching out with Beef Curry rather than the chicken counterpart. My combo of choice was super-duper good! Our stomachs are full, same goes to my paper dolls! 😋 As for the price, worth the buck & their quality ingredients was fresh, and passed their restaurant standards.🙂👍💵

Now, let's moved on to another eating establishment. ↓

Second (final) stop: 1919 Grand Cafe in Binondo, Manila

• We're now inside the gorgeous & luxurious cafe called the "1919 Grand Cafe", located at 117 Juan Luna St, Binondo, Manila. 🎩🤵☕😃 The building itself had a history throughout the decades, from 1919 to 1922 as a multinational universal bank and financial services holding company. • Years later, the building was converted into a fancy cafe. I mean, look at the inside, their atmosphere was screaming... Once again, "Luxury"! In fact, their menus are freaking expensive! Only the rich people can afford a delicious steak, and yes, they have that on their menu. But, we're not here for their high price steak, we're here for some sweetness dessert! Mmmmm! [15th Image] Also, I love these seats. I sat the green chair, which makes me feel like a boss. (Uhhh, not really. lol. 😅) [12th to 14th Image(s)] BTW: Nice golden tree! A spirit for the Chinese New Year, and suitable for instagram photos! 😁🖼️📲🌳🧧

• Aww yeah, here comes the desserts! Yum-yum! "What do we have?" Said my paper dolls!😋 I'm glad you asked! So, here are ff. desserts we've ordered: ○ Blueberry Cheesecake (My lil bro's oder) - Php 150 / $ 2.73(USD) (per slice) ○ Oreo Cheesecake (My order) - Php 150 / $ 2.73 (USD) (per slice) ○ Classic Mocha Cake (My parents' order) - Php 150 / $ 2.73 (USD) (per slice) ○ Hot Chocolate (My order, the green mug) - Php 150 / $ 2.73 (USD) (per mug)

Other notable items: ○ Cafe Americano (My parents' order) - Php 150 / $ 2.73 (USD) (per mug) ○ Brazilian Coffee Ice Cream - Php 180 / $ 2.73 (USD) (per cup)

• Now, let's chow down once more, you two!😁🍽️

Overall (for 1919 Grand Cafe):

• We're satisfied our tastebuds w/ their sweet tooth cakes. For the first time, we're try getting hands on the Oreo cheesecake w/ a premium hot chocolate. It was divine sweetness! We also tried the classic mocha cake & the classic blueberry cheesecake, with the latter was almost good as the Oreo counterpart. Classic Mocha cake, on the other hand, respectively solid taste. But, I just can't get enough with two sweet cheesecakes! Mmmmm! As for the price... Well, not every food items are expensive from this fancy cafe establishment, some are fairly price tag. So, we stay away from expensive foods like Wagyu, and an American steak because we can't afford those. Other than that, we enjoyed & relaxed at the "1919 Grand Cafe". Hopefully, we could try other foods, someday. 😋

• Uh yeah… I mention, that there's a water with a slice of lemon. That's quite a refreshing after we ate to much sweets. *gulping water with a slice of lemon* Ahhh, yum! I needed that. 💧🍋😊
