Appendix Automatica: De Cognitionis Gradus et Intercommunicatio Inter IQ Coefficientes: (Automatic Appendix: Degrees of Cognition and Intercommunication Among IQ Coefficients)
1. Introduction The Intelligence Quotient (IQ) scale is widely used as a metric to assess cognitive abilities across populations. While IQ is not a comprehensive measure of intelligence, it provides a useful framework for analyzing intergroup communication and understanding. This appendix mathematically segments the full range of measured IQ scores into five distinct groups and models their…

autistic people are not all able to integrate into the world in the ways you think we should be able to, with the accommodations that helped you or someone with lower support needs.
i had to give up on registering for a service that was supposed to help people like me with phone calls for doctor appointments, etc because it became extremely clear that their service was not accessible for someone (myself) with cognitive impairments. i asked for help with understanding and their response was incomprehensible to my brain. i couldn’t use a service for disabled people because i am too disabled.
yes, do not assume incompetence, but also don’t assume someone not able to understand complex concepts and systems and such, isn’t a person with feelings and a life and existence that matters, even if it doesn’t make sense to you
and please for the love of god stop demeaning “neurotypicals” for being “stupid” when they can’t understand things you deem simple if, for no other reason, then because in doing so you are being ableist to fellow autistic and neurodevelopmentally disabled people who can’t understand because of our own disabilities, which may even be the same as yours, on a different part of the spectrum.
not being “intelligent” or functional doesn’t make me unworthy of life and joy

Currently trying to crawl my way through Cat Bohannon's Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution. It sucks because I've enjoyed a lot of it, the actual evolutionary and developmental biology discussion is super interesting and informative, and the illustrations are so gorgeous. But then every twenty pages she'll follow up a brilliant paragraph with the dumbest trans-pandering shit you've ever read, with zero of the evidence normally provided to justify every other subject in the book. It's like she's constantly grovelling on hands and knees not to get cancelled for the mortal sin of daring to write about the female sex. Severely irritating and really brought down the experience of reading it.

I’m a creature of simple pleasures. One of those pleasures is my towel warmer. Getting out of the shower to a cozy warm towel is a lovely little luxury.
Today I found out my towel warmer is busted :(

sorry im still so fucking unwell about the bingge vs bingmei extra. not only did he get this little glimpse into a world where he's loved, but he goes home with evidence of it on him -- the disciple robes, and the little braid sqq sneakily put in his hair. can you imagine bingge going back to his world and realizing there's a delicate little braid in his hair, put there by the shizun that loved him and treated him tenderly. im going to eat gravel.

You're so close to getting it. Just a little further you can do it. Why, exactly would Sam be attracted to that? It's okay, take your time, you'll get there

one thing i’ve noticed is that people are very quick to claim you’re not really autistic and just “acting” when you look more autistic than they think is acceptable. this constant rocking back and forth verbal impairment holding a plushie and actually playing with it glancing around moving weird autistic person is too strange for them. they feel the need to distance from and shame me because the presence of a higher support needs autistic person makes them feel like they could be seen as like me in some way and that disgusts them. so this too-weird autistic person is actually nothing like them and actually i’m not autistic at all

Thinking about Aleksander Foxx and how hes a canonly good father. Thusfar all the good parents are found in MC&D besides maybe Kondraki, and I think its kinda funny.
Ik ik, yall will be like “BUT CLEF IS A GOOD-“
no.
He is a forced absentee, therefore a technical bad father in his child’s eyes as much as we adore the man. We know this from a literal tale where Meri is conflicted about her father, also where she met him once in a tale and hated him-
Anyways MC&D has like….3/1 on the good parent scale.

This morning, my therapist shared this really useful hack and I feel like it could be useful to share: it is the pie chart method.
Essentially, it is a great tool to identify the behaviours, situations and events that caused a certain effect, in order for you to truly understand what really happened.
You simply draw a circle, identify the circumstances that caused the outcome and give each situation a percentage of its influence on the outcome.
For example: you bake a cake but it turns out horribly. It could be that 45% of the fault could be given to the oven that has malfunctioned, 30% to the wrongly calculated measurements of the ingredients, and 25% of your inexperience baking a cake. In the end, you will realise that it may not be your fault, and therefore you should stop being so angry at yourself.
Disclaimer: sometimes the fault could be given to you. This is a useful method for those of you who may constantly be harsh to yourselves.

see . many people really not understand hold ableist views and behaviour, especially when comes fact someone other have very very different atypical unable be glamorise behaviour or higher / high needs. when was special ed bit time, was boy there he have higher need autism and significantly impairing cognitive delay, he would put hand in pants.
yes, would just put hand in pants just like that casually, he did quite frequent, wasn't doing anything intimate — although, there IS high need autistic people and/or cognitive delay in someway people who DO inappropriate actions in incorrect setting and IS very much!! part of be disabled this way should NOT shame is real genuine struggle caretakers try work on with individual — and he would just hold hand near back - hip ish area or fix underwear. would just do that, anywhere any time can not help doing so, and people would laugh point say mean things.
it's NOT okay any circumstances for anyone behave and treat other person who have this struggle this way, this other person disabled very much too and is part of their disability. yes sure may not feel most comfortable around, may be inappropriate, may be weird, all such like this, but this IS reality for plenty autistic people, people who cognitively impaired or intellectually disabled.
autism cognitive impairement or intellectual disability not silly quirky things never have never will be and people with them will do stuff may be considered bad uncomfortable disgusting even but guess what not excuse to make fun and judge.

Very few people treat me like real adult.
I am visibly developmentally disabled. Use mobility aids full time. Have caregiver with me most times.
Feel like can’t complain cause do need simple explanations and more easy instructions. But don’t want to be treated like little kid or worse like cute pet.

Important: If a person on Tumblr says that somebody else writes your posts for you, and wants you to prove that you write everything on your own:
Don't respond. Don't upload a video of you typing or using your AAC device. Block that person, or ask someone to block them for you.
They won't listen to you and you can't convince them. They're just mean. It's spam. Really, just ignore them.
Here's a long post I wrote about that today, in case you're curious:

What would it feel like to trust that your exhaustion is wisdom, not weakness? What if you believed- truly believed- that deep rest is also part of getting your life on track?

Truly wish mangahood fans would just tell first time Brotherhood watchers to read the manga first to get all the context they need to make Brotherhood suck 1% less, instead of suggesting the broke-ass, tired "watch 03 until it diverges" nonsense.
These continuities do not line up. They do not click into each other. The characters in 03 are fundamentally different from mangahood, the events of fma 03 from episode 1 are fundamentally different to !the manga! let alone to Brotherhood. The way alchemy itself works is fundamentally different and that's pretty obvious when you compare mangahood and 03! So how are you going to funnel newbies into mangahood by feeding them half of 03?
I know we're all hoping new fans are as incapable of engaging with what they're actually watching as most existing fma fans, but it would make far more sense to prepare them by having them actually read the source material that Brotherhood is actually adapting, not an anime that Brotherhood has nothing to do with.
