The thing about working a full time job is that we were fully confident we would finish this by the end of day every day since it was posted. Now a week later we have finally finished it. Sorry for the long post.

1. What is your System name and / or the name you collectively go by?

Ellipse Society

2. Which word do you prefer to use for your System? (example: System, Collective, Constellation, ...)

We tend to avoid using a word for the collective. We are more likely to say "our headmates" but when we use a word for it, collective is most likely and we sometimes use society though not often to avoid confusing people.

3. What are your Systems origins, if you choose to label them?

We tend to avoid genic labels but when we use them we tend to say traumagenic since that is how the first members formed. We have enough endogenic members though that we have thought about identifying as mixed origin.

4. Do you have any Subsystems?

Yes. Since subsystems and sidesystems are being split in these questions we have 1. We still use the word subsystem for both types though technically we call them subsocieties in reference to our collective name and also because we avoid using the word system(partially to annoy people who are going to claim we're "claiming to be a system").

5. Do you have any Sidesystems?

Yes 3(see above).

6. What is your opinion on you& / your& language and similar types?

We don't use it but think it is cool.

7. What methodes do you use to keep track of your System and it's Members?

We use Simply Plural. We have tried other things but none of them have worked.

8/9. What is your Systems ways of communication?/Is communication hard or easy for you (and why is it the way it is)?

We have a fairly easy time communicating with one another. It is basically like having a normal conversation out here when we are close in the headspace. We can also project things into each other's minds. We typically use this for visuals so others can better see what we are talking about. We have headmates who are messengers who can help with long distance communication. They all have special powers to help them do it more effectively such as super speed, teleportation and being able to walk through walls. They are also what we call intuitive headmates which means they can just know stuff going on in other areas of our inner world without being there to witness it so they don't need to be anywhere near the sender to know a message needs to be sent.

10. Do you view yourselves as parts of one person or as multiple people in one body?

We view ourselves as separate people in one body. We think that even if we started as parts of a whole we have developed enough separately to be seen as separate people.

11. Who are you out to as plural?

We are out to our immediate family, our best friend from college and our ex.

12. What languages do you collectively / one of you speak?

We only speak English fluently(though that is debatable since we struggle to learn any languages) and we speak a decent amount of French and want to learn Spanish and Armenian but only know a few words.

13. What is something you can't seem to collectively agree on?

We collectively agree or are able to come to an agreement on most things. I am struggling to think of anything but I guess collective use of genic labels for ourselves has been a debate for a while.

14. If you have a collective Identity (such as Gender or Orientation), what is it?

Yes we are female and identity as somewhere on the aroace spectrum.

15. Do you collectively identify as queer / LGBTQIA+?

We could but don't feel comfortable identifying as such.

16. Do you collectively identify as Otherkin, Alterhuman or Nonhuman?

We haven't looked into the first two enough to know if we would want to identify with them but probably not. We are majority human or humanoid so we don't identify as nonhuman.

17. Do you have a collective rentry / carrd / something along those lines? (feel free to share!)

18. What does switching feel like for you?

Most of our switches are quick enough they can happen without us realizing and don't really feel like anything. When they take longer our head tends to feel heavy(many times in one localized spot in the brain though that spot can be different every time). It feels like we end up half nodding off the sleep and then snapping awake.

19. Are you Monoconscious, Polyconscious or something else?

We are fairly certain we are polyconscious but we have a collective memory so the lines can blur sometimes and that doesn't always feel accurate.

20. What does fronting feel like for you?

I mean basically like normal functioning. Some nonhuman headmates end up imagining they are themselves within the shell of the body are more like puppeteering the body like it was a robot or something like that.

21. How many System members do you have?

62 that we know of(yes for those paying attention that is 2 more than what we said in a post about a week ago).

22. Which word / words do you prefer to use for members of your System?

We use headmate most often but sometimes use citizens as a joke reference to our collective name.

23. Which age group seems to be the most common in your System?

Most of us are in our late teens or early 20s.

24. Which gender seems to be the most common in your System?

We are mostly female.

25. Are there any talents / hobbies you picked up because of a Member?

A lot of our talents/hobbies/interests are shared between enough members that it would be impossible to connect them to a single headmate. We do have one headmate trying to get us to learn gymnastics though.

26. Do you have any in-system relationships?

Yes we have 2 married couples and one dating couple. We also have 4 family groups and more than are logically countable really close friendships.

27. Do you label roles within your System (and if yes, which ones?)

Yes. We use many but our main ones are protector, persecutor, holders(of various types), messenger, secret keeper and intuitive headmate(see question 8/9).

28. Are most of your Members introjected, brainmade or something else?

We are mostly brainmade.

29. Do you use names, emojis or something similar to sign off messages (and if yes, which ones and why?)

We used to sign off with our names and want to get back to doing that. We have never picked emojis as most of us don't feel like they are enough to symbolize themselves and we don't want to put in the effort to pick one for every headmate.

31. How do Members pick face claims?

The humans and humanoids create theirs in an avatar making app. The non-humans search through Google images for the closest fit. We have had to do a bit of editing for headmates that don't look close to anything that exists in the real world.

32/33. Do you have any Introjects of popular sources?/Do you have any Introjects of unpopular sources?

We are going to let each individual decide which of these are or aren't popular since we don't feel like we could make that decision for all of them(though some are obvious). We have introjects from Charlotte's Web, one who is from a mix of diffrent mythologies(mostly greek/roman) and works based of of them, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Magic Tree House books, and The Incredibles.

34. Do you have nonhuman Members?

Yes

35. Do any of you use Typing Quirks?

36. Do all of you front, or only a selected amount?

No only about 10 of us front on a semi regular basis and some of us have never fronted. There are a few headmates that are blocked from front currently due to high risk of harm to self and others.

37. Are there any Members who can't or prefer to not speak?

Yes we have one mute headmate but the rest can speak normally. There is also one who can speak but cannot communicate. We believe he is an autism holder that has more severe symptoms than the rest of us.

38. Are most of you short or tall in height?

Most of us are fairly average in height.

39. Is there a Member that is collectively loved by all in the System?

Yes Cynthia. She is a little and innocence holder. Many of our persecutors go out of their way to protect or avoid harming her.

40. Do any of you struggle with being front-stuck a lot of the time?

Well we have a frontbound host but other than that no.

41. Do you have a Headspace (if not, is there a reason)?

Yes

42. What does your Headspace look like?

Our headspace is extremely elaborate so this will be a long one. Our main inner world has boundaries in the shape of an oval. In the north there are mountains that are forested. There is also a cave going into the mountains. To the north east there is a bottomless pit. To the east there is the darklands which is a volcanic wasteland where our most violent persecutors exist. To the south is a desert that has constant sandstorms. To the west is an ocean. There is an underwater kingdom where mermaids live in the ocean and an island where many of our more overt headmates live. In the center of our innerworld to the east there is a giant field and to the west there is a city. The city is mostly suburban but with a couple of mansions and a downtown area. Most headmates have individual homes in this area. Our fronting area is in a stadium where we front through an invisible door in the center. On a cloud above this area is our brains representation of Penacony from Honkai Star Rail which we can teleport to from a pool on the west side of the stadium. Our subsystem inner world is a city made out of grey fog.

43. How do Members look like in Headspace? (example: Cartoony, Foggy, Realistic, ...)

Our headmates look very realistic in headspace.

44. Is there a reason why the Headspace looks the way it looks?

I mean probably. We have an obsession with ovals so I'm not surprised that exists and Penacony obviously exists from hyperfixation. We also have been obsessed with the 4 elements for a while and a decent amount of our headmates and inner world is based on water vs. fire. Our subsystem exists to process fear and the substance that the inner world is made from is our brains representation of fear(when emotions are separated from individual headmates memories for us they appear as a colored fog like vapor with diffrent colors based on the emotion).

45. Is it easy for you to enter Headspace?

Outside of our frontbound host yes it is fairly easy.

46. Do you remember what happened in Headspace when you switch into front?

Yes

47. Does time in Headspace pass (and if yes, is it at the same speed as in real life)?

Yes it passes at the same speed. Only difference about time is that nights are longer in our inner world though nights and days are still centered around the same time as out here.

48. What is your favourite place in Headspace?

I think most of us would say our personal homes would be our favorite place in the inner world.

49. Are there "NPCs" within your Headspace?

Yes. Any uncountable amount and headmates who never front can easily disguise themselves as NPCs.

50. Are there any interesting fun facts about your Headspace?

I guess a fun fact might be that if an object isn't connected to an individual headmate(like their house or clothes) it is hard to conjure anything that existed since the 1800s. Most of our inner world is fairly historically based rather than modern based and it is difficult to do anything that goes against that.

51. Are there any "System Stereotypes" you fit into?

I don't know enough about what would count here to say for sure.

52. Who of you would be considered the "evil alter"? (in a lighthearted, joking manner)

The Demon no question though Havoc, Kris and Julia are close behind and of the headmates who can front Veronica.

53. What is your favourite inside-joke with a Member?

I mean just the word "squirrel" I guess and it's with all of us. At some point everyone latched onto playing a game of screaming that word then running away from the front and now it's a thing.

54. What is your favourite Plural meme?

I can't think of one though we have never sought out any so we probably don't know most of them.

55. Is there any character that you headcanon as plural?

We don't really do headcannons very often for anything so no I don't think so.

56. Is there any show or movie that you believe is a good plural representation, despite that not being its intention?

Only one I can think of right now is Inside Out.

57. Is there any song that you believe decribes your plural experience?

I mean we are writing one but I can't think of any outside of that.

58. What about an artwork that describes your plural experience?

None of us are really that I to artwork so none that we know of.

59. Which Member of your System do you believe to be the prettiest of them all?

Probably either Claire or Angela. They are at least the first to come to mind.

60. Do you collectively have a lucky number?

Yes 7. We don't want it to be our lucky number since we have an aversion to odd numbers but everytime we try to change it everything lucky that happens in out live has to do with the number 7 so we have given up on changing it.

61. When did you first discover your System?

It was a process that took years. We started having significant interactions with other headmates in the fall of 2019 though we didn't know enough about plurality to understand that was what it was. We started discovering more members and questioning plurality as we learned more about it in summer of 2020. We finally accepted our plurality in fall of 2022.

62. How many Members did you know about during your Syscovery?

In 2019 4, in 2020 8, in 2022 20 I think.

63. Was accepting your Plurality a challenge for you?

Yes. We started learning about plurality through the lense of DID which we definitely do not have so we kept making excuses of how we were different from those we were seeing who were plural so thought there had to be a diffrent explanation.

64. How did you learn about Plurality?

We had learned a bit in psychology classes in college about DID but really didn't understand it until interacting with the community. We started getting DID videos recommended to us on YouTube which was basically the only social media we were on at the time and then we started seeking it out on there and then branching into forms of plurality outside that more to try to prove to ourselves that the other explanations still didn't fit us. Seeing the real life examples gave us enough context to understand what we had been taught in school.

65. Where there any signs of your Plurality, if you look back at your past?

Yes definitely. We have some very overt headmates that we had just labeled as us being "quirky" for so long and were able to look back and say, "that was you wasn't it?" We also had one experience in elementary school where we though we fell asleep with our eyes open sitting up and ended up with two separate complete memories of the event which we have now confirmed was a switch.

66. Do you think your Syscovery changed a lot in your life?

Not really. I guess we switch and dissociate more now but a lot of our functioning systems were already in place before so it was more just expanding the existing structure to add the host.

67. If you're out to others as plural, have they ever told you later on that they already thought about it before you realised?

Well none of them knew about plurality beforehand but since they have asked about if things I hadn't thought about were connected to our plurality which they probably are.

68. What was the biggest struggle during your Syscovery?

Pretty much just accepting that what we were experiencing could actually be described as plurality.

69. Was there any big event that led to your Syscovery?

We were studying abroad when we first discovered our plurality so I guess being away from home was beneficial to others feeling safe enough to front more. And a lot of our understanding of ourselves and defining ourselves as plural came from hearing the experiences of others in the community.

70. What is something you want questioning plurals to know?

Every plural like every person is unique. You don't need to be exactly like another plural to be valid and everyone who makes you think that is lying to you.

71. Are you Neurodivergent (and if yes, how?)

Yes we are diagnosed with ASD though we feel like there are likely things we are experiencing with our mental health outside of that and have yet to get a diagnosis and don't feel like self diagnosing.

72. Do you have any physical disability?

We have scoliosis(we almost needed a back brace but got away with just physical therapy).

73. Do you have a dissociative disorder?

No. Our dissociative experiences significantly improve our functioning and we do not view our dissociation as a disorder.

74. Do you have any other disorder?

Yes ASD.

75. Do symptom vary in intensity depending on the fronter?

Yes we have some symptom holders that tend to struggle more with our disorders as well as the opposite. Those whose job is to mask or numb the problem to make it easier to cope with or hide.

76. Do you think your disability / disorder has an influence on your plurality?

Well a decent number of us identify as neurogenic so yeah we definitely see some parts of our plurality as being connected to our disabilities. There are also significant parts of our inner world connected to our disorders.

77. Do you have amnesia of any kind?

Most of us only experience emotional amnesia. Cynthia is the only one of us who experiences blackout amnesia. She can't retrieve any negative memories from our shared memory bank.

78. Are there Members who deal better with symptoms than others?

Yeah a lot of our maskers can handle them better. Though many headmates that are really good at handling one symptom are really bad at handling some others.

79. Do your disorders / disabilities influence communication or switching within your System in any way?

It doesn't affect our communication as far as we can tell. When we switch there is a significant increase in our stimming and each headmate has different preferred stims.

80. Does being plural help with your disorders in any way? (example: another Member switching in to take care of the body during difficult times, ...)

Yeah there are headmates who can help deal with symptoms when they are bad and having symptom holders makes it easier for the rest of us to function.

81. Which is your favourite plural flag?

We really like this one especially since we prefer vertical to horizontal lines.

82. If you have one, which is your favourite plurality related tumblr blog?

I'm struggling to pick one. I like way too many to choose.

83. What is a fun fact about your System?

I guess we like writing songs together could be a fun fact. We are struggling to thing of anything that doesn't relate to IRL stuff we don't want to talk about on here.

84. What is a flavour of ice cream that describes you collectively?

Well most of ours favorite flavor is chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and we can't get that out of our head now so I guess that.

85. Which pride flag is the prettiest, in your collective opinion?

We really like the transgender flag.

86. If you collectively had to choose between being a sweet or a sour candy, which do you pick?

Sour. We tend not to like overly sweet things and love so many sour candies. There was a time in our life where we only ate sour candies.

87. Your body always morphs into what the current fronter(s) look like, would you want this power or not?

Probably. It may depend on how normalized that experience was for others. Many of us would like to have the way the body looks mirror how we look on the inside but we wouldn't want to loose our ability to mask if society still made masking a necessity to feel safe in this scenario. But in a perfect world yes.

88. Is there a Hatsune Miku in your System?

89. Who has been in your System the longest (if you can remember)?

Veronica is the first headmate to exist in her current form. The only other headmate that existed at the time was Rebecca who has since split into Rebecca and Mia so they could be counted too.

90. If you collectively had to choose, would you rather only eat sweet foods or only eat savoury foods for the rest of your life?

Savory. A lot of us don't like a lot of sweet things and we love salt so much.

91. If you collectively had to choose, would you pick to become a vampire or a werewolf?

Well we have a vampire in the collective and we don't have a werewolf or any canines of any kind so I think vampire would probably be better.

92. Your body is transfered into one of your Members sources, which do you pick and why?

Probably Genshin. We tend to prefer fantasy environments though now that we think of it Magic Tree House could fit that too so that's probably a close second and the order may change based on fronter or mood or some third thing I haven't thought of yet.

93. If all of you turned into animals right this second, which animals would we find in your System?

We already have deer, an eagle, a fomestic kitten, a lion cub, a black panther, a cheetah, a snake, a blue bird, an owl and a bear. A lot of us would probably want to be horses, the mermaids might turn into fish, and I wouldn't be surprised if there would be more birds and reptiles, and maybe some more bears, I'm surprised we don't have any canines so maybe some would be those.

94. What would a Minecraft server with all of your Members look like? (example: chaotic, peaceful, laggy, ...)

Um we don't play Minecraft(too many straight lines and it makes us dizzy) but with no context for how to give an answer maybe peaceful? I mean I think it would depend on the day or area of the inner world.

95. If you could choose between only living in Headspace or only living in Meatspace (real life), which would you choose?

Headspace. It is so much more predictable and there are better relationships than anything we have out here.

96. What topic would you collectively make a youtube channel about? (it can't be plurality!)

We have thought about making a music channel since a lot of us are into singing and writing music. There are also a few of us who have thought about making a tarot reading channel but we really don't have enough cards or are even half as good at it as those who already exist so that is much less likely.

97. Which superpower would your body obtain, if you had to collectively decide on one?

We are wanting teleportation the most at the moment. We have a job that requires a lot of travel so it would be nice to be able to just be there at times.

98. Who would pick the coolest tattoo for the System and who would pick the worst?

Well we will never get a tattoo so none of them but in the hypothetical world where we would Claire would probably pick the best one and I could see many of us picking terrible ones. Angela came to mind for both best and worst since she has an eye for aesthetics and cares about her looks but she also has a lot of 18+ preferences on things that a lot of us wouldn't want.

99. If you only were allowed to eat one food for the rest of your life, but you would have to decide on the food collectively, what would it be and what would the decision making look like?

We would probably choose pasta as it is a favorite for many of us. Also because there are so many varieties(though if we had to choose one it would obviously be angel hair). We make decisions by voting in tiers. For decisions on what happens out here the headmates who rarely if ever front vote first. Keeping in mind their votes the headmates who front fairly regularly vote next. And lastly the headmates who have been host at any point in our life still keeping in mind the votes of everyone else make the final decision.

100. What is the most fun about doing polls and answering questions, in your opinion?

The best part is seeing the results/others answers. I like to see how others are similar and different from us.
