Pure Vanilla yelled, running up and giving you a tight hug.

“I’m so happy you’re alright love. I was so worried that you’d gotten hurt or even taken by someone else.”

As Pure Vanilla held you in his tight embrace, nuzzling the side of your face against mine, you looked behind him.

Golden Cheese watched on. Her face of defeat and sadness. A tear slowly trickled down her face. 

“I…lost?”

She dropped to her knees, dropping her spear as she did so. Three times her kingdom lost. Three times her kingdom had made it to second place. Always second fiddle.

Pure Vanilla didn’t care. He just carried you in his arms as he began to walk away, a cheerful, delightful smile shining so brightly it was almost blinding.

“Now them,” Pure Vanilla said cheerfully, “let us go back home to celebrate, love. I’m sure Black Raisin Cookie would love to make your favorite meal.”

Pure Vanilla continued to talk about a celebration for his victory. You didn’t care tho, you just looked at Golden Cheese. You wanted to comfort her. To help her in her time of need. As much as you knew this would happen, you didn’t want Pure Vanilla to win.

Do you ever think about the implications of Kouign-Amann's social class when contrasted with that of Prune Juice and Capsaicin?

I'm not sure of Capsaicin being particularly concerned about class structures, but I'm sure he's aware of the general idea of power dynamics, given his constant need to keep himself in check. Great power begets both respect and fear.

Now Prune Juice, on the other hand, I'm sure is rather acutely aware of social status and everything that entails. Being disabled and still having to work to get by does that to a person.

There's also something I shouldn't be privy to that I do in fact know about Prune Juice's character but I won't be explicit about it here. Just a little wink for those who know...

...Anyway how do you think the latter two would feel about navigating the Crème Republic, given the...
