i just wanted to post these cause i got blue ties for my braces yesterday and they are cooooool <3
#i had pink ones last month....might go green next time 🤨🤨🤨#i dont usually show them cause well. i still have a looooong way to go but my orthodontist says its going pretty well so far#also next month ill probably get the bottom ones too once my crossbite is fixed#and i hope i can get rid of the bite pads as well 😭#lowkey im dreading it cause this past month i had no issues w any of my brackets popping off#but i was told theyre also more likely to come off when they put on the bottom ones 🥲 agh#raquel.jpg

#don't get me wrong i am ready for pretty teeth#but like. my maxilla aches. power chains how i despise thee#we've gotta close my diastema(s! plural!! what is my life!!!!!) Got my NHS letter today after five months about having a consultation in April about what to do about my jaw. It's been misaligned (crossbite) since 2010 when in PE I had the side of my face trodden on with a football shoe.
For 14 years I've been told to adapt, that I'll get used to it, and it'll fix itself.
Now after 14 years of a clicking jaw, permenant tension head aches and jaw aches, spots in my vision, and oddly worn down teeth. I might finally be in a position to get it all sorted.
#the permenant head and jaw aches is not an exaggeration#all day every day for over a decade#carrying that tension#then when it's finally fixed I get to spend £3500 privately on braces to correct my teeth that have been pushed by the crossbite#my dentist said I have the ground teeth of someone twice my age

honestly maybe i’m just way more confident than i realize or something bc i listen to my coworkers talk abt their insecurities and im just like “….really…” and of course i don’t say that i just give them a little speech but i can’t imagine being insecure abt stretch marks or the color of my nipples or whatever like can we be so serious for a second
