Utterson doing Hyde's messy hair for some dinner party.

Post-canon where, instead of dying, Utterson gets there in time and finds out about Jekyll's secret and helps him through it. So now we have Utterson trying his best to treat Hyde as well as Jekyll.

He attempts to drag take him to parties that Jekyll would go to, make sure he's presentable and gentlemanly, very tame encounters like that. Very nice, very casual. Meanwhile Hyde/Jekyll is wondering why in the world his friend hasn't left yet, and keeps trying to act out as Hyde to prove something to himself. It hasn't worked yet.

They're both trying to remain civil as Hyde complains about Utterson brushing his hair too roughly or how much he doesn't want to go outside, while Utterson has practically tuned him out and is going "oh yeah this is definitely Henry."
