rainy day hq | build download (follower's gift #4)
welcome to rainy day hq—where social engineering meets better lighting. in partnership with wainscot interiors llc, our new space is a modern oasis: bold colors, natural wood, and nordska-inspired design that just screams “aesthetic productivity.” nestled in mirage canyon, oasis springs’ rising tech hub, our four-story walk-up offers stunning views and nearby accommodations—because burnout shouldn’t require a commute.
sound like your kind of storm? let’s form and storm together. ☁️
type: small business venue price: §534,042 size: 40x30 location: burners & builders, oasis springs play tested: ✅ (see notes below) download: ⬇️ rainy day hq (cc lite).zip (28 mb) ⬇️ rainy day hq (cc free).zip (426 kb)
notes: original shell on gallery by theInsims and clush2005. no major routing issues, but minor with high top seats. colorful chairs in front are more decor than fxn. cc free and cc lite version are slightly different to make up for no cc. please enjoy and tag me if you use!
@cutietrait it's finally here! thanks for asking for this build! honestly help motivate me to finish it and share it now as follower's gift since i just hit another milestone. <3
layout details: this build has 4 floors and i tried my best to mimic key features in a company esp. tech start up vibes. so you've got open workspaces, kitchenettes, 4 focus rooms, 2 conference rooms (8 sims max), and larger conference room for your "all-hands meetings". i left a vacancy for you to customize as you see fit (e.g., ceo suite). also recommend checking out office snapshots. i used it a lot for inspo. it has gallery full of offices from all over the world...
gameplay details: if you want make this multi-fxn lot, i’d recommend spawn mods such as: npcs everywhere (kuttoe) OR multi-purpose lot traits (@down-in-simsland). and if you want to set up small business for a start up like i did. here's the step up. target customers = freelance programmers and tech gurus. skill requirement = programming. tested in-game and autonomy seemed to work well...

Terror Camp is hiring!
We are looking to expand our volunteer staff for this year’s conference.
We have two job listings based on our current needs, but if we receive a lot of great applicants there is the possibility we’ll split up these responsibilities into 3 or even 4 separate positions.
Terror Camp is a fully volunteer, remote, asynchronous workplace (with occasional sync meetings as schedules permit). We communicate over Discord and organize our documentation over Notion and Google Drive.
We are looking for people who can devote up to a few hours a week, depending on the time of year. Commitment increases around the times of Submission Opening (June 1), Submission Closing/Acceptances (September 1-Oct 1) and the conference itself (early December).
Terror Camp looks great on your resume. You can say that you volunteer for a successful community-led online history & heritage conference with an audience in the thousands!
You don’t need to match the job descriptions perfectly in order to apply. If your experience doesn’t match up but you think you’d still be good at the job, please apply anyway!
Here are the positions we're looking to fill:
🎨 Designer 🎨
Terror Camp is seeking a dedicated Designer who will:
Ideate and deliver a new evergreen brand identity for TC that can be revamped and reused each year
Including logo, logotype, color scheme, font families, and other brand assets for use on web, social media, and printed merch
Be an proactive team member with strong communication skills, able to quickly and regularly deliver new graphics for promotional use on social media and in email marketing
Help design an evergreen/permanent collection of merchandise as well as a limited-edition collection for this year’s conference
Assist our Webmaster in revising our website & email marketing templates to fully match new brand identity and meet best practices for UX
Potentially work on print layout for a Terror Camp book or zine (TBD)
This job would be a good fit if you:
Work or have worked professionally or semi-professionally as a graphic designer; or are a hobbyist designer with a standout portfolio
Have experience working with both digital and print assets
Have a working knowledge of web design best practices and HTML/CSS
Have experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva (but not ONLY Canva, sorry) and Wix or similar WYSIWYG ESP/site builder
The Designer will report to our Assistant Director/Webmaster, & will also collaborate closely with our Marketing Lead on graphic assets for social media and with our Merch Lead on preparing designs for print.
To apply, please fill out this form.
💬 Communications Coordinator 💬
Terror Camp is seeking an enthusiastic Communications Coordinator who will:
Own Terror Camp’s main email inbox and oversee all direct communication with attendees and interested parties
Respond promptly to inquiries including:
Requests for past recordings
Requests to join the Discord
Questions about schedule, programming, submissions, guests, and other conference topics
Catch inbounds to social media inboxes (Tumblr, X, Bluesky, Insta) & answer or redirect to email as appropriate
Act as coordinator/assistant for Marketing Lead, with responsibilities including:
Scheduling pre-written content
Assisting with ideating and drafting content, proposing content ideas
Cross-posting content to multiple platforms
Consistently and frequently engaging with social audiences (finding content to repost, replying to people, etc)
This job would be a good fit if you:
Work or have worked in any digital customer-facing environment; have experience with support tickets and/or ongoing user communications; have run social media for brands or institutions; are an efficient and clear writer able to work creatively within brand voice guidelines
Have successfully and sustainably moderated Discord servers, Tumblr communities, social media for other fandom projects like fests, zines, and charity events
Can spare the time and attention to respond to inquiries and turn around new social media posts in a timely manner
Are prepared to represent the Terror Camp brand professionally and maturely in digital public spaces

Time to get my Faction out :D
[Wild Riders]
They are a faction of a rag-tag team of Toons. They basically travel around via the truck, Steel Stallion. They go around from settlement to settlement to do business such as selling weapons and augments as well as buying for supplies and material.
Members in the faction join via being picked up by the leader, Tinkerer. Most of them were found in tight situations like near death scenarios or even when they are at their low, some are pretty great customers of Tinkerer who just decided to hitch on.
This is their Truck, or more specifically, Tinkerer's.
Steel Stallion
Functions as a base, home, workshop, store and more. There are plenty of weapons, augments, armour, utility tools and supplies so take your time scouring through the stocks.
Operation Ichor by @slumbrr-r @operation-ichor
Relationship with other Organizations and Factions. ↓
Gardenview [Allies/Friendly]:
The Wild Riders have a very beneficial relationship with this organization, especially with those in the Forge. They supply and trade each other with mainly blueprints and materials.
The Merchant Order [Neutral]:
The Wild Riders are technically under this organization, plenty of reliable links and ties to be found there. Mainly just buying and selling goods there.
RUIN CORP [Allies/Neutral]:
Although the Wild Riders primarily go to them for...cleaning. The two benefit from each other a lot, specifically with Harmony.
Zodiac [Enemies]:
Although it's usually either kill on sight or sabotage on the sidelines, the Wild Riders have a primary goal—to make the members in there defected from the place as much as they can, whether it be through fear or convincing.
Plus it be funny if there was a revolution, watch the place crumble on itself.
Vinization [Allies/Neutral]:
Mutual connection for benefit, and a great place where the Wild Riders can get info on the Zodiac through the captured members. It also wouldn't hurt to do a bit of trading with the Retailers, helps both sides.
Hidden Sanctuary [Allies/Friendly]:
Like Gardenview, they provide each other with supplies and material, beneficial for the Builders and Defenders with materials, tools, weapons and augments and the Wild Riders with food supplies.
Overseas Commandment [Neutral/Friendly]:
These two factions don't really meet up often since they travel a lot one on land and the other on sea. But when they do, it's mostly some exchange in information and trading with materials.
The Caravan [Allies/Friendly]:
They most definitely share information as the Wild Riders would aid in giving and improving weapons and augments for better protection. These two factions travel with each other when they get the chance to, after all, there is a certain strength in numbers. Makes the trip a bit more safer.
Phoenix Coalition Organization [Allies/Neutral]:
They most certainly do have different ideals but they do have a certain goal, to protect others and stand united.
With the Defense Division, the Wild Riders will most certainly aid in their mission and especially with evacuation and waves.
At Site Omicron where the Engineering Department is, they mutually help in making even more ichor efficient and powerful tools, weapons, augments and armour.
Meanwhile at Site Thaumiel, the headquarters of the Science Department, they share data and research for more understanding and breakthroughs.
Sentinel and Wild Riders would certainly run into each other plenty of times, it's more of a competition of who does it first really and maybe form a joint operation.
The Wild Riders never truly interacted with the Diplomatic Relations Division, so just be prepared for sudden joint operations, but despite everything help is still help.
Mechanists [Neutral/Allies]:
These faction may not see things eye to eye but they certainly help each other when it's needed.
Sometimes they do come around each other via the Marauders Division in their expedition I'm which they would offer the members to hitch a ride to their destination and target.
With the Moongazer Division, its mainly exchange in material and tech, as well as maybe blueprints.
Masquerade Town [Neutral?]:
...if a single word got out to the Wild Riders that the town is nothing but Twisteds, there's going to be a massacre...
The Field [Tension/Enemies]:
...the ex-member of the Zodiacs in the Wild Riders have given intel of this organization...this place needs to be known but the risk is very much a lot.
Wild Riders mainly avoid this place because it is at risk with all the children in there...mayhaps the other factions can help.
The Greater Good [Tension/Enemies/Allies?]:
Unfortunately, they are enemies (albeit one sided) due to Wild Riders have both an ex-member of the Zodiac and partial Twisteds, maybe they could've been allies under different circumstances but this is not the case.
The Wild Riders take on a more defensive approach to the faction of The Greater Good, often fleeing, their intentions are good but their ways are flawed. But they WILL reluctantly help each other and call it truce when it comes to threats like the Zodiac, Twisteds and especially waves.

OKAY SO what with the TWO new Hermits implied by the updated banner I will say that, though the Skizz truthers have me convinced, I now have room to do my own crazy red string monologue and throw my hat in for my choice

1) Mythical J. Sausage (the J is silent) is a multitalented S-tier builder that absolutely deserves to be shoulder to shoulder with the Hermits. The man does buildings, interiors, terraforming, custom trees, and he does them SO WELL.
2) The production values!!! Beautiful replay mod sequences with shifting camera perspectives, shaders, music that sets the tone for each segment that's different from series to series. He already has more than a million followers on YouTube and for good reason!!
3) He has been SO consistent lately. He started a hardcore world about three months ago (about the time you might expect the Hermits to finalize their s10 choices maybe...???) and already has 15 episodes and hasn't gotten involved in any other big content. (He did just start playing a little of the BCG server but from what I understand that's super casual /copium copium copium).
4) That hardcore world is conveniently about to reach a good "pause" point. He started his world on a cherry blossom biome island that he's filled with a medieval village and starter farms, he's said it's almost full and what's left is the castle. I'm guessing the new season will start the first week of February, so if Sausage puts out a video this week building out that Castle and finishing that island it will be MIGHTY CONVENIENT TIMING.
5) This man can GRIND. His Hardcore world hasn't even been going half a year and he's built... So much??? Magnificent! And when he was on the Hermitcraft server he did the Razorcrest for scar AND the player head baby yoda/stormtrooper merch AND the noteblock themesong AND still built in the xmas village and other "diamond of peace" and so many other shenanigans. Did the man even sleep? He can grind with the best of them.
6) He can do redstone, too! Maybe not unique designs, I honestly don't know, but he builds farms for build materials no problem.
7) The DRAMA this man loves his improv and his backstory and trauma lore! For every series he does! Can you imagine if he gets to interact with Ren for an extended period of time, what that would do to them, to us?? Give Martyn a run for his money!!
8) Which brings me to my next point, which is that Sausage is already One of The Gang, because he's been in series with so many of the Hermits already! Empires and the crossover, obviously, but also Pirates with Cleo and Origins with Scar, and he's even done MCC! Joel is the only other player with the same depth of different series but there are other people truthing him already.
9) The EPIC BROMANCE with Pearl. My god the devotion of this man to his sunflower goddess bestie. I would try to do ot justice but y'all have seen floweroflaurelins work, you already know.
10) He's already a PG streamer but with HILARIOUSLY PG-13 tendencies. Imagine him and Cleo cracking each other up at an HHH stream, *grips your shoulders* IMAGINE IT.
11) Sausage comes with his own mascot in the form of interdimensional dog extraordinaire Bubbles, but he's also just an animal lover on general. Mans drinks his "I love Jellie" juice and had her in his world even before the sad news of her loss.
12) Diversity win! No one should be hired just for their gender, race, sexuality etc etc unless it's truly necessary to the job, but we were all happy when more women got added to the server in s8 and I know a lot of people would be happy to see some ethnic diversity added, too.
... That bulletin board had a lot more pins in it than I thought it did but anyway MYTHICALSAUSAGE TRUTHERS/ALL OTHER TRUTHERS RISE UP SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! we'll only get to wildly speculate for a few weeks so we might as well make it everyone else's problem ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST!!

"The most fashionable bathing station in all Europe". British industrialists and American mining investors plotting the colonization of the Congo, while mingling at Ostend's seaside vacation resorts. Extracting African life to build European railways, hotels, palaces, suburbs, and other modern(ist) infrastructure. "Towards infinity!"
---
In 1885, King Leopold II achieved an astonishing and improbable goal: he claimed a vast new realm of his own devising, a conjury on a map called [...] the Congo Free State. [...] [A] fictional state owned by the king, ruled by decree, and run from Brussels from 1885 to 1908. [...] This was [...] a private entrepreneurial venture [for the king]. The abundance of ivory, timber, and wild rubber found in this enormous territory brought sudden and spectacular profits to Belgium, the king, and a web of interlocking concession companies. The frenzy to amass these precious resources unleashed a regime of forced labor, violence [millions of deaths], and unchecked atrocities for Congolese people. These same two and a half decades of contact with the Congo Free State remade Belgium [...] into a global powerhouse, vitalized by an economic boom, architectural burst, and imperial surge.
Congo profits supplied King Leopold II with funds for a series of monumental building projects [...]. Indeed, Belgian Art Nouveau exploded after 1895, created from Congolese raw materials and inspired by Congolese motifs. Contemporaries called it “Style Congo,” [...]. The inventory of this royal architecture is astonishing [...]. [H]istorical research [...] recovers Leopold’s formative ideas of architecture as power, his unrelenting efforts to implement them [...]. King Leopold II harbored lifelong ambitions to “embellish” and beautify the nation [...]. [W]ith his personal treasury flush with Congo revenue, [...] Leopold - now the Roi Batisseur ("Builder King") he long aimed to be - planned renovations explicitly designed to outdo Louis XIV's Versailles. Enormous greenhouses contained flora from every corner of the globe, with a dedicated soaring structure completed specifically to house the oversize palms of the Congolese jungles. [...]
---
The Tervuren Congo palace [...]. Electric tramways were built and a wide swath of avenue emerged. [...] [In and around Brussels] real estate developers began to break up lots [...] for suburban mansions and gardens. Between 1902 and 1910, new neighborhoods with luxury homes appeared along the Avenue [...]. By 1892, Antwerp was not only the port of call for trade but also the headquarters of the most profitable of an interlinking set of banks and Congo investment companies [...]. As Antwerp in the 1890s became once again the “Queen of the Scheldt,” the city was also the home of what was referred to as the “Queen of Congo companies.” This was the ABIR, or Anglo-Belgian India Rubber Company, founded in 1892 with funds from British businessman “Colonel” John Thomas North [...].
Set on the seaside coast, Belgium’s Ostend was the third imperial cityscape to be remade by King Leopold [...] [in a] transformation [that] was concentrated between 1899 and 1905 [...]. Ostend encompassed a boomtown not of harbor and trade, like Antwerp, but of beachfront and leisure [...] [developed] as a "British-style" seaside resort. [...] Leopold [...] [w]as said to spend "as much time in Ostend as he did in Brussels," [...]. Ostend underwent a dramatic population expansion in a short period, tripling its inhabitants from 1870–1900. [...] Networks of steamers, trams, and railway lines coordinated to bring seasonal visitors in, and hotels and paved walkways were completed. [...] [A]nd Leopold’s favorite spot, the 1883 state-of-the-art racetracks, the Wellington Hippodrome. Referred to with an eye-wink as “the king incognito” (generating an entire genre of photography), visitors to the seaside could often see Leopold in his top hat and summer suit [...], riding his customized three-wheeled bicycle [...]. By 1900, Ostend’s expansion and enhancement made it known as “the Queen of the Belgian seaside resorts” and “the most fashionable bathing station in all Europe.” Opulence, convenience, and spectacle brought the Shah of Persia, American tycoons, European aristocrats, and Belgian elites, among others, to Ostend.
---
Leopold’s interventions and the Congo Free State personnel and proceeds played three pivotal and understudied roles in this transformation, all of which involved ABIR [British industrialists].
First, it was at Ostend that an early and decisive action was taken to structure the “red rubber” regime and set it in motion. In 1892, jurists such as [E.P.] had ruled, contravening [...] trade laws, that the king was entitled to claim the Congo as his domanial property [...]. Leopold [...] devised one part of that royal domain as a zone for private company concessions [...] to extract and export wild rubber.
Soon after, in 1892, King Leopold happened to meet the British “Colonel” John Thomas North at the Ostend Hippodrome. North, a Leeds-born mechanic [...] had made a fortune speculating on Chilean nitrates in the 1880s. He owned monopoly shares in nitrate mines and quickly expanded to acquire monopolies in Chilean freight railways, water supplies, and iron and coal mines. By 1890 North was a high-society socialite worth millions [...]. Leopold approached North at the Ostend racecourse to provide the initial investments to set up the Anglo-Belgian India Rubber Company (ABIR). [...]
---
One visible sign of Ostend’s little-known character as Congo boomtown was the Royal Palace Hotel, a lavish property next to the king’s Royal Domain, which opened in 1899. With hundreds of rooms and a broad sweep of acreage along the beachfront, the palace “occupied the largest space of any hotel in Europe.” [...]
King Leopold met American mining magnate Thomas Walsh there, and as with North, the meeting proved beneficial for his Congo enterprise: Leopold enlisted Walsh to provide assessments of some of his own Congo mining prospects. The hotel was part of [...] [a major European association of leisure profiteers] founded in 1894, that began to bundle luxury tourism and dedicated railway travel, and whose major investors were King Leopold, Colonel North [...].
At the height of Congo expansionism, fin-de-siècle Antwerp embodied an exhilarated launch point [...]. Explorers and expeditioners set sail for Matadi after 1887 with the rallying call “Vers l’infini!” (“towards infinity!”) [...].

Hermit-A-Day Day 18: Favorite Build
This one is going to have a more normal fic formatting and is not related to my Glitch universe. Instead, it's related back to a post I made a long time ago on my main blog before I even made this one about Season 9 Pearl being over taken by an alien plant parasite. It is also somewhat inspired by "Can you tell I have no floor?" by allbluestarling on AO3 which is just a really cool fic you should read if you haven't. If you couldn't guess from the banner of this blog, my favorite build is Pearl's season 9 base.
@hermitadaymay
CW: Parasitism (not vividly described or gory but if that wigs you out in general I wouldn’t read it)

It Wears Her Skin
It's been weeks since Gem has seen Pearl. Weeks since anyone has seen her, really, but Gem is her best friend and so it makes absolutely no sense why Pearl won't respond to her messages. Generally, Gem has tried to give her some space. Pearl is an introvert who gets overwhelmed sometimes and needs to be alone and Gem respects that. It's just... she hasn't seemed right all season. She's a perfectionist, sure, every builder is. Gem gets lost in her builds too, has had days this season working on the castle or the tree where she forgot to eat or sleep until she was reminded to do so. But the last time she had seen Pearl- well it just wasn't right. So three weeks after the last time anyone has seen Pearl, Gem decides to hop over the river and bother visit her at her base.
The ground sinks slightly under her feet. It's all wet moss, Gem had watched from her side of the bridge as Pearl placed thousands of moss blocks by hand. The terrain rises up around her in deliberate shapes, molded over days and weeks of work. Custom trees litter the landscape, in vibrant colors that should not work together and yet do, oranges and pinks, blues and yellows. Creeping purple vines claw their way out of the ground and sway in the wind. All of it made of blocks that were so deliberately chosen for tone and texture that it isn't until you get right up next to one that you would notice it isn't actually organic. And that's just the landscape. Looking up, Gem watches the swaying petals of the two massive plants that tower over Pearl's base, one a massive flower and other shaped vaguely like an animal's head. It's all gorgeous, a beautiful display of creativity and design, of form and color.
Then there's the contrast of the buildings. The industrial grey and red blocks placed on the landscape like they don't belong, like something alien and jarring. They work against the land rather than with it, so different from the way Pearl usually tries to wrap her bases in with her extensive terraforming. The "human" part of the build, Pearl had said. Gem knows that below her feet is the tunnel with its rotting vehicles and flickering lights and stained medical bay. For just a moment, Gem stands in awe, staring at her friend's work.
"What are you doing here?" A familiar voice asks from behind her in a very unfamiliar tone. Gem turns, startled. Pearl stares at her, blue eyes icy and expression unyielding. She laughs awkwardly, not quite sure what to do.
"What, I can't pay my best friend a visit?" She tries to tease, forcing a grin, "I miss you, it's been too long and everyone else is boring me,"
Pearl grunts in acknowledgement but turns away from her, staring at a patch of mossy ground that's still empty. Her eyes narrow, a deep line forming between her eyebrows. Her teeth catch her bottom lip as she stares at what looks to Gem to be nothing.
"You planning something?" Gem tries, getting closer. She puts a hand on Pearl's arms and Pearl flinches away like she's been burned. Gem snaps her hands back to grip the fabric of her dress. Her and Pearl are normally both open with things like casual hugging or touching. It's not like Pearl to reject it like that.
"I just need to-" Pearl cuts herself off with a horrible sounding cough. She reaches into her overalls for a small notebook with jerky and frantic movements, hands shaking as she grips her pen. "There's something that should be there- there was something there. There was something there, there was something there, there was- there was,"
She's borderline hyperventilating as the sound of scribbling fills the air. Gem approaches carefully, like she would a wild animal. If Pearl didn't want to be touched before she surely won't want to be now. But she isn't quite sure what to do here.
"Okay, we can put something there then," Gem tries to sound comforting, to sound calming. But Pearl is still scribbling and muttering, not even seeming to remember that she's there. She takes the moment to really look at her friend. Pearl is clammy and too thin, dark circles bruising under her eyes. Her nails are bitten and jagged down to the nail bed and the skin around them is torn and red like she's been ripping it. Wait her hands. Her hands which are still sketching fervently. Something catches in Gem's throat. "Since when were you ambidextrous?"
Pearl stops suddenly, turning to look at her. And she drops the pen. From her left hand. She stares straight into Gem's eyes and how had Gem not noticed before that the blue is all wrong? They're less cerulean and more cyan, bordering on green. They glow, just slightly, in the shade of the giant flower. They're the same color as it's petals.
"I'm not ambidextrous. What are you talking about?" Pearl questions defensively. It's like she thinks staring hard enough will make Gem forget what she just saw. Gem lifts her head up, resolute, and meets her gaze.
"Can I see the sketch, Pearl?" She keeps her tone light, kind. "Must have been something really impressive to have inspiration strike like that?"
Pearl barks out a laugh that is not Pearl's laugh. "Yeah, sure yeah. Inspiration. Sure, I don't see why not, I guess," And with obvious reluctance, she hands the notebook over to Gem. She can identify the unfamiliar tone from earlier, now that she's heard Pearl speak more. It's like someone who isn't used to Pearl's voice is trying to speak with it.
Her suspicions are only confirmed by the drawing. The lines are thick and short, roughing out another industrial building, a signal tower maybe, in the space. Pearl's designs, even the quick ones, even the blueprints, have thin lines. She never pushes her pencil to the paper too hard, she typically builds shapes on top of each other rather than the choppy lines she's just done. This doesn't look like anything Pearl has every drawn that Gem has seen.
"Who are you?" Gem asks the thing using Pearl's body. She (they? it?) startles back, blinking rapidly. A nervous smile (not Pearl's smile, too crooked, their mouth is closed. Gem has spent so long encouraging Pearl to smile with her teeth) spreads across their face.
"I'm Pearl!" They insist. Gem just stares and their smile drops. They look.. scared? "I swear I am, really,"
"No, you aren't," Gem reaches to her side, wrapping her hand around the hilt of her sword.
"She gave me permission!" They shout suddenly, hands going up in surrender, "She wanted to help me!"
"What did you do with Pearl?" Gem growls, drawing the sword. The thing that is not Pearl backs up.
"I didn't do anything! She's still here she's just... letting me use her body for a while!" They insist, "When I'm done I'll give it back!"
And it... admittedly sounds like something Pearl would agree to. Especially if she really felt like whoever this is needed it.
"Why?" Is all Gem can think to ask. And the thing that isn't Pearl tilts their head, like somehow they hadn't been expecting that question.
"Why Pearl or why do I need her body?"
"Both, I guess,"
"I met Pearl in the void between worlds. She floated with a group. I stuck myself to her, tore a hole in her suit to touch her so I could speak to her," They've dropped trying to imitate Pearl's pattern of speech at all. Gem can't tell if it makes it more or less unnerving to hear this stranger’s cadence coming out of her best friend's mouth, in her voice, in her accent. "I told her my plight. I am lost. Humans had been to my world and they had disappeared. I was curious about what happened to them so I wanted to find some. I found Pearl,"
"She's not a human and even if she was she wouldn't know what happened on your planet," Gem interrupts. She can't tell what she's feeling right now. Her body is just cold.
"Yes, I found this out. Her being a shapeshifter is actually what made this possible. I asked her what the humans had been doing on my planet and she had no answer for me. But she agreed to help me recreate where the humans had been so I could do my research when she arrived in her 'next season'.” The thing using Pearl's body takes their right arm out of their black long sleeved shirt and shows Gem where, presumably, they had burrowed in. A cyan flower, maybe the size of the palm of her hand, grows out of Pearl's bicep. “I burrowed my way into her and she allowed me to use her knowledge of this world and it's resources to rebuild my memories. If she were a human I would not be able to use her form like this and leave her alive. I’ve melded with her code,"
The skin around where the flower sits is slightly discolored purple and just under the skin Gem can seen the spreading of dark blue roots. It isn't as gross as she expected it to be. It doesn't look super painful or super invasive even as she knows that this is some kind of parasitic plant using Pearl's body. Maybe they tried to be gentle.
"Is she gone?" Gem is afraid to ask the question. The alien puts their hand on Gem's shoulder reassuringly.
"No, she isn't. I am not always in control, only when I am working on this. When she comes to your meetings, that is Pearl. I am only borrowing her body for this. She is still speaking right now, even. She helps me know what materials to use, she guilds me in my building. I will leave once I've figured out what happened to the humans and my work is done," They slip their arm back into their shirt as they speak. Gem feels better, at least, knowing that Pearl is still there.
"So why haven't I seen her in weeks? And why do you look so worn down?" Gem questions. The alien blushes, looks down at the ground in shame.
"I am of singular focus, often. I don't always recognize how long I've been working. I forget that Pearl's body has needs, like sleep and food. My species photosynthesizes," They admit. Gem tuts, putting her sword away finally.
"Honestly, every builder gets like that sometimes, even those of us that know how an animal body works. But that's my friend's body you're using there. You should take better care of it," Gem insists.
"Right, yes," It agrees. "I will."
"Maybe try some soup. It's good, I promise,"

ok ok guys headcannon/idea for the first forsaken guy
What if
Coolkidd exploded the pizza place like a FREAK kid and got them banned
n7 was caught being sad by his son which is a big no no
coolkidd makes his merry way into the pizza place, ignoring the fourty seven coolkidd is banned signs
Elliot is like bro get tf out and coolkidd is like return my father pls
While they’re arguing the specter finally like appears for once
they tamper with all of the ovens
Neither person realizes this until it’s far too late…
They both realize something is major wrong!!
pizza place explodes.gif and it is chaos
everyone’s running to the doors but this time the wreckage seems like super evil placed in such a way there was definitely some higher being had to make it that way.
Uh oh
N7 who was snoozing his head off with 30 jars of ice cream hears this on the news and just knows immediately that his son was doing stuff
he like teleports there all cool style and helps people
Elliot witnessed this and it’s like a redemption moment like if we survive this maybe your unblocked ha ha
it gets pretty bad but most of the customers and staff are out before uh oh
The entrance mysteriously collapses when it’s the pizza freak the burger freak and the kid
uh oh and like everything’s burning up and it’s pretty scary
N7 goes to save them all but his gui is really weird and is taking like 6 seconds uh oh!! (Specter has infected it now that it’s convenient)
A pillar from the top of the pizza place starts to fall as his gui struggled to work super bad
unfortunately… n7 doesn’t realize that his new and improved gui…
Only works for him….
Oh oooo ooo ouch ouch that hurts don’t worry Elliot’s got you Coolkidd he won’t let no ten year olds die under his care
N7 isn’t doing too good about it either lmao
he can’t teleport back for some strange reason (he’s on cooldown!!)
meanwhile a pizza worker (delivery skin) is about to pull up like the hero he is
Coolkidd is devastated and probably believes his dad did this intentionally
Elliot in his last seconds of consciousness was try ing to tell him it isn’t true even though he didn’t really believe it himself
they are still under this godFORSAKEN (reference) plank
Delivery skin shows up like a boss and PLOWS into the building with his delivery truck (somehow works specters fault tbh)
After some effort Elliot and coolkidd get released into the public (outside of burning pizza place)
Mr builder is there it’s very happy and n7 probably dies of stroke relief
His dad is sooooo happy to see him promise promise for sure. Unfortunately he doesn’t say it correctly and actually just bullies his burnt son
Adrenalin crash Elliot dies IMMEDIATELY
It’s just him and Jason for the longest time and he was there in the formative years of the dimensions- back when it was nothing but a plate of grass- or when there was no intermission. Back at the VERY VERY start
although he didn’t hate n7 so much at first, seeing as how he tried to save the customers. Over the time his rational is chipped down and he soon begins to crazily believe that n7 did want him dead. Thats why he only teleported himself- he just gets angrier as time passes becuase he has nobody to talk to except for Jason but Jason’s not that talkative as seen in image above
he only regained sanity when the first survivors came around
Elliot is the FIRST support survivor!!
ok guys can’t wait for part two!! The next person Is pretty chill pretty cool even if their personality is seen as cold maybe they’re also a little hackerish but they’re pretty cool and cold and stuff ha ha wonder who
#elliot forsaken#007n7 forsaken#c00lk1dd forsaken#forsaken roblox#spectre forsaken#tw blood#Maybe I’ll make a comic

Do you have a website you'd recommend for portfolios?
Oddly enough: carrd.co
The second-tier plan has all you need — gallery, forms, custom domain support, analytics — and the site-builder is simple
It would cost me around $30 per year to host eriart.net with Carrd, compared to the $50 I pay annually hosting via Wordpress, the $147 Weebly wanted me to pay after eliminating standard plans, and the $204 the complete freaks at Wix are charging people
I'll probably switch over to it before my renewal period

3D Printing in Architecture

3D printing, once a novelty in the tech world, has now firmly established itself as a game-changer in various industries, including architecture. The ability to create intricate models, prototypes, and even full-scale structures has opened up new possibilities for architects, engineers, and builders. In this blog post, we'll explore how 3D printing is revolutionizing architecture, from design concepts to construction practices.
Design Innovation
One of the most significant impacts of 3D printing in architecture is the freedom it provides in design. Traditional methods often limit architects to certain shapes and structures due to material and construction constraints. However, with 3D printing, these limitations are lifted. Architects can now experiment with complex geometries and organic forms that were previously impossible or too costly to achieve. This has led to a surge in innovative designs, pushing the boundaries of what architecture can be.
Prototyping and Modeling
Before the advent of 3D printing, creating detailed architectural models was a time-consuming and expensive process. With 3D printing, architects can quickly produce accurate scale models of their designs, allowing for better visualization and refinement. This rapid prototyping capability enables architects to identify potential issues early in the design process, saving time and resources in the long run. Additionally, clients can better understand the architect's vision through tangible models, leading to more effective communication and collaboration.
Sustainability and Efficiency
3D printing also offers significant benefits in terms of sustainability and construction efficiency. Traditional construction methods often generate a considerable amount of waste due to material overuse and mistakes. In contrast, 3D printing uses only the necessary amount of material, significantly reducing waste. Additionally, many 3D printing materials can be recycled or are made from sustainable resources, making this technology more environmentally friendly.
Moreover, 3D printing can streamline the construction process. Structures can be printed on-site, reducing the need for transportation and minimizing the carbon footprint associated with moving materials and equipment. This method also allows for faster construction times, which is particularly beneficial for large-scale projects or emergency housing needs.
Cost-Effective Construction
The cost of building with traditional methods can be prohibitive, especially for complex or custom designs. 3D printing offers a more cost-effective alternative by reducing labor costs and material waste. The precision of 3D printing ensures that only the exact amount of material needed is used, which not only lowers costs but also increases the structural integrity of the building. For developing countries or regions with limited resources, 3D printing presents a viable solution for affordable housing and infrastructure.
Challenges and Future Prospects
While 3D printing in architecture holds great promise, it is not without challenges. The technology is still relatively new, and large-scale 3D printing for buildings requires further development. Issues such as material limitations, regulatory hurdles, and the need for skilled operators must be addressed. However, ongoing research and innovation in the field are likely to overcome these challenges in the coming years.
