Scattered on the road. In between finally updating my Alice York (yes Dave York's daughter) & Foodtruck Owner! Joel Miller Footsteps to Follow and working on the next chapters of Precious Possessions I figured we all needed these inspirational phrases from some Pedro characters.

There's also no one I would want to spend a late night with freaking out over an almost 50 year old Chilean man than my sluts and then freaking out with all of you here in the fandom the next day!

Sigh. Another manager bites the dust. Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag have parted ways, following United's 2-1 defeat away to West Ham United in the Premier League.

There's not much to say. The team wasn't performing, the league position is pants, no win in Europe for a year now... it's hard to defend the man.

I will say that I liked Erik, and I really wanted him - like Ole - to succeed. I think the Premier League shocked him a little, because it's a proper knife fight, but I also think that in a team of egos... tactical stubbornness isn't viable.

That's not to say he should concede to player demands, but there's a little leeway in things. The same goes for training intensity - you don't get as many injuries as the team has without overdoing it behind the scenes.

Despite this being our Banter Era and yet another failed managerial appointment, Erik did win both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup in successive seasons. Credit where credit's due in delivering some good memories amidst the chaos.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy will take over in the interim for the Leicester City game in the Carabao Cup and potentially longer, while United decide on the next manager.

Some records that got their musicians to be noticed again after a long time had a problem with the events that followed and that were beyond their control. Kirsty MacColl, for instance, didn't get a chance to fulfill the promise Tropical Brainstorm gave her. I mean, she was always on the edge of being recognized, but the label woes did their trick. I believe the platter I mentioned signified a better future not just thanks to the incredibly cheerful mood, which she did complement with an occasional dark subject matter. You noticed what I described? Yes, she would've fit the aughts and the previous decade well. She would've still been this eccentric lady with great music, since Tropical Brainstorm felt like an overture. Sadly, her death delegated that to a requiem.

This fic... it's so creative, so well written, and so fun to read. There's a whole lot of fluff and a good bit of angst. I loved every single chapter, all the twists and turns, all the soft sweet moments, and all the scary or painful ones. The ability to write accurate characterizations of so many different characters is seriously mindblowing. I adored this fic.
